  1. Question for ARK on the switch Will there ever be dlc for the Nintendo Switch? I think it could have a ton of potential and 8 wanna know
  2. Potential for Season 2 DLC Greetings! I was unable to come across a suggestion like this from my searches so I checked to find a suggestion area and boom, here I am. Today I wanted to talk about a potential for 2 different DLC packs that seem (at least to me and a small minority I have asked) as though it would both be an exciting project for the devs and for the community. Since the first selection of DLCs were end game scenarios (Ragnarok, Scorched Earth, Extinction) I really enjoyed their base attributes of surviving them. The features that made each map unique allowed players to think creatively in their base building and movements across maps, also allowing the menagerie of creatures to be varied and interesting to the players. So my suggestion is this! For a second DLC pass but with only 2 DLC packs in it. As far as naming I haven't really gotten this far as it would require an underlying level of development to go into it, but I thought that for the next batch (should more DLC come) the DLC should be 2 maps with completely different methods of travel and exploration. Imagine 2 new maps that made half of the current creatures unable to be used, meaning that the players would need to be using the majority of the new creatures in these maps for base travel and movement. The first map could be something akin floating islands, using flying creatures you have will give you an advantage however the new options amongst cliff scaling and gliding creatures have many open possibilities. The second map maybe to counter this would be a map situated entirely under water and even though you can have your normal aquatic dinos, you could never survive the depths if don't learn to interact with the abominations from the deep. I felt the concept would be a good following that could keep the creative juices flowing since there are not only plenty of creatures that can be added via research and scientific conjecture to keep the dino nerds interested, but also allow dev creative juices to flow in creature design as well. After all we did get an underground/subterranean DLC (I loved Aberration). I feel like if this isn't already being worked on that it was a good idea to suggest.   3. Ark new DLC suggestion (Winter only based) I had an idea about a new ark DLC with a whole new map. New experience and maybe even new creatures. The main theme is a winter based with fury dodo's for players to get fur faster to get wormer gear faster.     DLC Map

    DLC Map I’m a console player so I haven’t had the pleasure of playing in the new maps like Crystal Isles, Valguero, and some of the others which I hope will be added to console eventually, but I have an idea for a map which no one seems to have tried to create. The idea I imagine is similar to the layout of extinction with different biomes set up, although these biomes will be made up of mythology. One features Egyptian mythology, one for Greek mythology and one for Chinese mythology. Using the gods of the different mythological sets as bosses, and creatures specific to each biome from mythology. To expand even further adding a whole new set of engrams for a full expansion. A “god” set of engrams. Either focusing on the gods of death using souls from killing certain creature to power or using sunlight or something similar that can be obtained from certain creature or bosses for a power source. Depending on the route unless adding both engram paths designing the new structures with a dark underworld theme for souls or a gold glowing them for the sunlight or similar path.
  5. My idea is to choose what Dinos to spawn on your pgmap. The dlc exclusives will be grayed out,unless you got the dlc.there will be icons for creatures and you can select and drag them to a certain part of the map.Also can you fix the pgark on xbox?
  6. Hi Davion here On every ARK so far we have been alone. What if this time we where not alone. I see huge potential in having AI tribes in the game for various purposes. Sanario 1, 3 classes of tribes that evolve along side the players though the 5 stages/tiers of technology The stage of a tribe is determent by the crafting station of that tier 1-spawn til the smithy is complete 2-Smithy 3-Fabricator 4-Any of the :Industrial Forge/Chemistry Bench/Industrial Cooker 5-Tek Replicator #Note even if the crafting station is destroyed the tribe have still achieved this stage of technology lets call the 3 classes Gamma Beta Alpha Gamma Tribs would be passive /pve tribes that focus on trading, gathering and taming can be hired as extra muscle for rare resources gathered far away from there native location Beta Tribs would be neutral / pvp tribes that defend there territorial when attacked, will be aggressive to stage 3+ tribes attacking with dinions and stage 4 weapons(max. level 40) Alpha Tribs would be aggressive/ pvp tribes that actively attack the larges stage 4+ tribe on the server with dinos, flyers ppl and stage 5 weapons (will only use tek engrams that is available to the tribe) Scenario 2 Tribes are the guardians of the artifacts and have build temples around them each of them reflecting the guarded artifact. The tribe chief of each tribe har learned to harness a pertion of its element power. Tribes are neutral til near temple og Chief is engaged Cheif artifacts are destoyed upon its masters death examples of tribes Sky tribe: Guards the artifact of the Heavens Tribe special. Flyers, gliders /reduced fall speed Tribe Chief rides a large Lighting whyven with the Pike of the Heavens. Pike of the heavens: Lightning beam(same as wyven), chain-lightning(fires a bold of lightning if it hits a target chains to nearmy enemys reducing dmg by 50% per arced target. Tribe of the Sea: Guards the artifact of the Deep Tribe special: Underwater beathing/scooper gear, marine Dinos Tribe Chief rides a large Tusoteuthis with the Trident of the Deeps Trident of the Deep: Force pulse(pushing every 1 around away in a bobble), Army´s of the deep call upon nearmy Marine life to attack Tribe of Darkness. Guards artifact of the Dead Tribe Special. Berow, can summon nameless Tribe Chief rides a large Reaper King with the Bow of Agony Bow of Agony: fires poison in a spray 180 degree , grating high amounts of torpor. Call of the shadows summons 3 packs of random Shadow minions. More comming soon Davion
  7. Map name : WArp Zone The idea behind this DLC thought is that the map has pockets of distorted space. This map should be a land locked map (similar to scorched earth) with lakes and flooded cave systems for water creatures. Each zone of the map will have their own challenges; Green zone This zone will be full of rich vegitation, lots of tall plants such as bamboo, and redwoods. Wood and Bamboo will be plentiful meaning it is the ideal stater zone. Bamboo will be a unique plant where you can harvest fibre, berries, thatch, Bamboo and even water from them. Bamboo will be a wood substitute but will also have its own items that require bamboo exclusively (Bamboo structures and drainage systems.) Also the green zone will be full of the taller creatures of the map , a number of new creatures ideal for the new survivors perfectly fitted to this zone's challenge. That challenge is reduced gravity. This is why the plants and creatures grow larger. As you could imagine this allows you to jump higher and farther than normal, run in a slightly accelerated rate, this could also bring up the first problem with the zone for players and you can over shoot where you want to go if you are not careful or slight bumps can send you flying in to the air for a hard landing, also items weigh less in this zone. The zone will be littered with small flyers and near flying dodos (thats right with their increased speed and reduced gravity they are able to take flight if only for a few seconds). To balance out the zone there will be next to no advanced resources such as oil, obsidian, crystal and yes you guessed it metal this forces you to explore the other zone which are rich in these resources. Lakes and cave systems will aslo have a unique attribute which is methane bubble zones within the water , these will cause survivors to have a poisoning effect that drains oxygen and stamina (to any unprepared survivor )for as long as they are in the bubbles that will last for 5 seconds after you escape them. Also troublingly methane reduces buoyancy causing you to fall below the surface of the water and unable to resurface while still in the bubbles. Primitive snorkling gear can help fight these effect (Primative flippers made from hide, a leaky but better than holing your breath air tank made from hide). The cave systems that house the artifacts are found in the depths of these lakes. Green zone creatures Land creatures Brontos, Diplos, Brachies (larger AOE than Bronto but no platform saddle), Parasaur, dodo, Lagomorph (fast mount), Dimophodons, Tropical birds, Dinocerata (Replace Wooly Rhino), Baryonyx, Utahraptor (bigger, higher health pool and damage but slower) , Dilos, pteranadons. Underwater Piranha, Sabertooth salmon, Coel, Barraccuda ( Very fast , Moderate Damage , Low health, Not rideable), Kronosaur (Small Mosa , No platform saddle) ammonites, trilobites, eels, Hag fish (creates bio-oil), Icthysaurs, Mackrel shark (Small megalodon) Blue zone This zone is a hot area with intensified gravity. This causes you to decimate your water reserves as a combination of the heat and extra effort to move wear you down. Oil and crystals are plentyful in this area with moderate metal and obsidian but with the increased gravity you can't carry what you would like to. Trees can be found in numbers here but they are small and give half the normal trees value of wood and thatch. Although this area seems harsh in many ways it is redeemed by the fact tha a quick dip in the waters of this area although hot , relax you and boost healing and stamina regeneration for 5 seconds with a cool down period between dips where the water will cause harm by scalding you. The waters are shallow in this region being home to only a few coel. The cliffy terrain makes items such as the grappling hooks and climbing picks a must have item. The cave systems entrances in this region are high up making climbing or flying the only way to them. These cave systems have steep walls and sudden drops making for a dangerous time while exploring them. Leading deep down to a lava filled area is home to these artifacts and many unfriendly creatures. Blue zone creatures Land creatures Doedicurus, Ankyolosaurus, Carnotaurus, edmondasaurus ( Tanky, heavy hitting Iguanadon), Therozinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Megalania, Megalosaurus, thylacoleo, Argetinasaurus ( Aggressive Diplo that stomps on any foe it sees), Argentavis, tapejara, Titanaboa, pulminoscorpius, Araneo, Kaprosuchus Underwater Coel Red zone Of all the Arks to exist this one's red zone is the strangest and most brutal of all. With eratic weather patterns that change randomly through time you must be prepared for any situation in this zone. The "weather" cycles through : High gravity, Low gravity, Rain storm, Dust storm, Electrical Storm, Radiation Storm, Mega Heat, Mega Freeze, Earthquakes, Fog and normal weather randomly making it hard to live in this area but possible with a TEK weather sheild that degrades over time with each storm requiring regular repairs. The creatures in this zone also have advantages and disadvantages in their respective weathers. Once you overcome the initial struggle of the red zone the wealth makes it worth it. Although there is no ground water in pools or lakes there are a couple of veins for water, gas and oil. No vegatation of any kind exists here either mean Herbivores don't last long in the wild. Littering the entire landscape are the rarest material that are no longer rare to you : Metal, Obsidian, Element, Oil, Crystal, Black Pearls can be mined in abundance here as long as the residing creatures are dealt with first. Each resource has a "guard" creature if you will that lives in the area. Metal is all over and is "guarded" by Rex and Yutaranus. Obsidian Resides in the Gigas home. Element is found near the Reapers and Reaper Queens. Oil and Crystals are found near the Wyverns ( all forms) Nesting area and the Black Pearls are within the nest of the Rock Drakes. Seeing as this area will be a challenge in itself there is no cave system for the artifacts to hide in , the ones in this zone are out in the open but hidden near the dangers.
