  2. Creature Request Hello all, I was looking at some awesome mods on steam and I was thinking about possible Dino’s to add to the game officially for future updates... Personally, my favorite creature idea to add to the game and an animal I’m very fond of is a rabbit/hare. An easy addition could probably piggyback off of the jerboa model or reduce the model size for Kangaroo Easter bunny (not sure how easy that is for developers), it could be an easy first tame if you use a cliche item to tame (carrot), could be a unique game meat, and could possibly be beneficial and burrow for resources or detect things with its ears? I hope one of the people from Wild Card see this, would make me so happy to see come to the game. Maybe add an arctic hare to the Antarctica map! Thoughts? Is there another animal/Dino you guys would want to see? (This was a great idea added from a suggestion on discord) Perhaps a hare/rabbit can create warrens that can store and hide a player’s resources. These warrens would be small and will be hidden from enemies, much like Purlovias burrows. Perhaps can even be a temporary hidey hole. So instead of constructing storage boxes for raids that can easily be destroyed, these would function as hidden storage boxes. I’m sorta thinking of the isles burrows that certain dinosaurs can make. To counter this ability, the warrens will decay away like normal structures if not utilised for a long time. Also rabbits can stomp on the floor to sense and discover enemy warrens which they can destroy. Irl rabbits are rather hard to catch so many in a chase, they can have really sharp turns or side steps to evade pursers.
  3. Hello All I was thinking, you know how in some areas of the maps, in order to get some herbivores or other dinos to spawn in you have to kill everything because none of the carnivores are attacking eachother, just you know chilling out and wandering around. What if wild carnivores to see other wild carnivores as competition over food (e.g. lions and hyena, wolves and bears) and fight each other, so we dont have to keep killing everything to get dinos to spawn in. Such as a group of rexes vs a giga or a thyla vs a carno, etc. (I know yutis and wolves fight anyways) And maybe add breeding competition, if two males are in the vicinity of one female, they'll fight for well breeding rights. Just a thought to make ark nature a bit more like real nature.
  4. Genesis creature guesses and ideas this is just to discus creatures you might think will be in Genesis or ideas you have for creatures that you want to be in Genesis here are some of my guesses/ideas: Fantasy/SciFi: a giant spider or tarantula a rideable tailless whip scorpion a rideable humming bird and dragon fly hybrid a ampithere a rideable woodpecker that harvests wood Based on real prehistoric animals: a lobster/shrimp based on the prehistoric shrimps, prawns, and lobsters mainly Jurassic something based off of prehistoric lacewings and scorpion flies Chresmoda obscura a giant prehistoric waterskater Tetrapodophis a snake with four small legs
  5. The Center New Creatures I feel like the center maker or the ark devs should go back and create afew new creatures for the map since valguero and ragnarok have their own unique creatures Personally if I could suggest some I'd pick these 5 and also all the water creatures should have partial resistance to the cnidarias stun lock and just be slowed down by it instead. 1.Livytan: this creature can be a huge tamable beast along the lines of mosa and tuso being the largest of the 3 but the slowest, for attacks it should have a bite attack that does increased damage to boats, things on said boats, and things like ammonite and tusoteuthis and cnidaria, alongside that maybe a tail attack to help defend it from behind and finally it should have a roar that's so powerful that it damages creatures around it dealing AoE damage. I think it should have a platform saddle as well with the saddle allowing you to build the water compartments and a tek generator on it so you can have a moving sea fortress since both the mosa and plesiosaur platform saddles are useless underwater. 2.Helicoprion: this creature can be a small but strong sea mount similar in size to icthys and mantas but abit larger almost around electrophorus size and it should do increased damage to the following creatures: cnidaria, tusoteuthis, eurypterid, ammonite, and trilobites as well as maybe have a pack alpha kind of thing similarly to Raptors or direwolves and the pack alpha could do bleed damage. 3.Tylosaurus: this creature can be a large creature similar in length to a basilo or plesiosaur and it should have a tail whip attack that maybe can deal torpor damage so it would be useful for taming other aquatic creatures, alongside that I think a special "saddle" that's basically more armor with a saddle built in would look fantastic on it. 4.Tropeognathis: this creature should be the only flying tame to actually be capable of submerging underwater and moving around for a short time, it would obviously as a counter maybe have less oxygen but it would definitely be helpful as an all terrain mount, alongside that maybe similarly to the helicoprion it can have a pack alpha buff which would be cool, size wise I feel like it should be around a Pteranodon size but be slightly more bulky dealing more damage and withstanding more damage but slower. I imagine it could become easily one of everyone's favorite fliers due to it's all terrain capabilities. 5.Amargasaurus: this creature could have a counter buff similar to the kentrosaurus where when it gets attacked it reflects damage back to the attacker and I feel like if it swung its tail or head it would cause bleed damage, it could be rideable too, it should be larger than a paracer/diplodocus but smaller than a bronto I think that size is perfect. Since the spikes on its body wouldnt make it the best mount for a platform saddle a special saddle that has gattling gun turrets jutting out both sides would be very cool instead and people could man the turrets so it would be fantastic for raids and easily become a fan favorite. Plus I'm honestly amazed that wildcard skipped over this creature given that I feel like it suits ark perfectly. Tell me 5 creatures you'd want added into the center.
  6. An aerial concentrated map with floating islands. 3 main islands each with one obelisk, numerous smaller islands hovering around above and below each other. The idea is that each island needs to be discovered to get all tames and items, as each island has some unique of both. Caves are present on the islands, artifact caves, as buildable caves. Each main island has its own biome, the smaller ones are overall filled with resources. The bottom of the map has a small water buffer, should you fall, you won't be killed instantly. However falling of your tame is tedious thus can be countered with a safety rope, attached to you flier. Map: Environments: Hot air stream that increases fly speed. Thick mist zone where barely can see. Biomes: Snow island (blue obelisk), jungle island (green obelisk), desert plains (red obelisk). Regions: Giant flower forest: The Hive: Overgrown woods: Tall forest: Cold plains: Cliffside ruins: Tundra: Insect tunnels (land): Insect chasm (air): Creatures: Gargoyle: Stone flier, can harvest stone, and has certain weight reductions. Eats stone, immune to elemental attacks. Found in the cliffside ruins. Immune to goliath grab. Has a saddle. http://imgur.com/a/JLIaeyg Giant goliath spider: Goliath, a giant bird eating spider. Excels in killing fliers like birds, pterosaurs, even managarms. Found in the overgrown woods , entered trough the insect tunnels. Goliaths also rest on the walls in the insect chasm, often seen with their front legs searching after prey while stil mounted on the wall, keep this in mind when you fly trough, if you get caught, it will end bad. Can inject enemies with a substance, if creature is killed within a certain time, substance turns into cementing paste. Can climb like megalania. Can grab fliers. Has a saddle. http://imgur.com/a/tG20Ofw Consider this an (large) apex ground creature. Bola spider and crab spider: Found in the insect tunnels, overgrown woods and giant flower forest. (Non tameable) Jumping spider and orb weaver: Tameable, jumps form island to island. Orb weaver catches flies. Cant move when landed, so watch out for goliaths when out of stamina. https://imgur.com/m9VV7s9 Drawn by @benjamin.b.nichols Small fliers: Could be ptero's, or modern day. Minions: Small creatures roaming the islands, more agressive at night. Can be tamed and if you own a hive, can house it. ( Could be same model as nameless) Minion king: Resides in a minion hive, needs trophies to tame, boosts minions, only 1 king can house a hive. Flying lizard/sugar glider: Early game rideable flier/glider, weak, low weight, nothing more then a quick way of getting around. Other larger pterosaurs: Like hatzeg, shoulder mounts(fly ability)... Structures/vehicles: Taming cage: Cage that can be attached underneath the islands rocks, with anchors. The amount of anchors depends on the cage. (Small/medium/large) Support air balloon: Balloon you can attach to a ceiling to extend its support by 4m, max (?) balloons in proximity. A tek version can be attached under cealing to support 10m, needs to be tek powered. Tek dome: Much like the tek forcefield, but needs to be placed on foundations and can snap on fence foundations (to make nice/practical buildings). Circular shape with a 8-12 foundation diameter. Doesn't require element to stay up, however expensive to craft. Chopper: Primitive early game, low armor/health, shoots arrows, works on coal/gas? Tek plane: battle,cargo,..., endgame plane, shoots lasers, high weight/health, bp crafted? Works on gas/element/shards? Speed can be altered but at extra fuel cost. Cable cars: Travel between islands/base. Safety net/bridge: seals gaps, can be combined into a rope bridge, early version of tek bridge. Minion hive: Hive that shoots arrows when minions are housed. 2 minions and 1 king can house a hive. Damage stacks with melee damage of all residents combined. Items/yummies: Fluid Bag: Stores nectar, flowers and honey. Increases spoil timer. Safety rope: Rope you put in your tamed flier's inventory. Prevents falling of by mistakenly pressing the dismount button, if pressed within 2-3 seconds after dismount. Rope breaks after 3 uses. Primitive grapling hook: early version of the grapling hook, fiber crafted but has a chance to break upon use. Adrenalin syrum: fliers temporary gain speed, map EXCLUSIVE item means NO transfer. Other stuff: Nectar, frog legs,...
  7. Restricted Creatures Make it so players can disable certain creature species in their ark's, similar to what you did with engrams in the world settings. This would allow for so much more roleplaying and similar things in the game, (for example removing all the creatures that are not medieval-fantasy, like horses and direwolves).
  8. Valguero No Gigas Spawning Ok, so I'm playing singleplayer on PC and I have seen a grand total of 2 Gigas on Valguero. Both were low level, killed one by drowning it in a lake and the other seems to have despawned on its own. I've been checking the 3 spawn locations I know of (Northwest of Green Obelisk, West of Wyvern Trench, North of Aberration Cave) and have yet to see any more. Are there other spawn locations for them I am missing or is it just another broken large creature spawn? I'm also not seeing any more Mosas or Plesios (after the inital ones I either killed or tamed) and haven't seen a single Tuso down in the ocean caves, and the Wyverns aren't spawning at all after the initial ones. I already knew these other spawns were broken, are Giga spawns broken too?
  9. New tek saddles and updates for useless creatures I think that we should get new tek saddles or new tek creatures. A tek saddle for the giga would be cool, or saddle for wyverns. Also, I feel like the diplodocus should do damage, it's completely a waste of time taming it if it can't do damage. The moth really needs an update, maybe it can deal torpor damage or have another attack where it can actually deal damage? Wyvern should be breedable, I love wyverns but it's a pain going into the trench every time you want a wyv, they should also be able to glide. What do you think?
  10. Breeding Flyer Speed I think being able to breed flyers in a way that their movement speed could be raised a little for each later generation would be a good way to bring back a form of classic flyers while keeping the balance of not solely relying on flyers. Maybe being able to find wild max level flyers (150 or whatever the server cap is) with only a 1% higher movement speed than normal, and you could stack those percentages by breeding. A flyer with 1% higher speed bred with a normal flyer would have babies with that 1% added to their speed. But breeding two flyers with the added 1% would produce babies with 2% added to their movement speed and so on until you are breeding flyers with up to 20-40ish% as a cap or wherever you feel would be better. Maybe 20% cap on pteras and a 35-40% cap on argents. I just think it would be interesting and rewarding in breeding, plus it would allow survivors to get a little more speed out of their flyers. It might seem small but it would make a overall big difference in game. Just an idea I had that would really be a nice addition in my opinion. Something to think about. Thank you for your time.

    Next TLC? Does anybody else think that with the new water biome supposedly coming in Genesis that it would of been a good idea to TLC the water dinos in major need like the Megalodon and the Plesi beforehand? I feel that was a real missed opportunity to give the community somethings they have been asking for since the first TLCs. Does anybody else feel the same?
  12. Ayo, so I’ll try to stay simple with this. I’m creating a server for ark on ragnarok in a few days, I already know how to add abberation creatures and items into the game, however I haven’t seen anything so far in doing the same with extinction. I have been able to spawn all the things through admin commands, but of course I’d rather not have to do that all the time. so if anyone found anything or finds anything, I’d appreciate the help and I’d give you a digital cookie ^o^

Remove transfer of Desert Titan to Island on Arkpocalypse This is day 3 of the arkpocalypse server and already my tribe with over 50 turrets was wiped by a desert titan brought from a DLC map when Island is Non-DLC this is unfair and broken and it is way to easy to tame to be allowed for transfer so early and is creating a cancerous game play, It cant be stopped on island so for arkpocalypse please make changes so the Desert Titan either... 1. Can't be transferred. 2. Takes Double damage. 3. Can't be uploaded/downloaded till day 5-10 of wipe. 4. Can't be tamed on Arkpocalypse period!!!! 5. Make it so it is wayyyyy harder to tame as it is way to damn OVERPOWERED!!!!!!!!! *the cost to stop a Desert Titan far out ways the cost to tame it this needs to be fixed/balanced* *KEEP IN MIND THIS IS FROM THE STANDPOINT OF SOMEONE THAT BOUGHT ALL YOUR DLC*

    New animals Here are some ideas you could use: 1. We have dragons already, but what about hydras? (Dragons are awesome already, but imagine trying to tame something with three heads) 2. Dairy cows (and a new item: Milk. You could even add recipes for things like cheese, yogurt, butter, and ice cream) 3. Giant rodents (mice, rats, rabbits, squirrels, etc.) 4. Do we have dogs yet? if anyone else has ideas feel free to add them.

  16. I had a cool idea for a new ARK. It would need to be huge and the main draw would be free roaming bosses. Each of the current bosses would have a territory and be ranked from beginner to endgame. Each free roaming boss would be its respective basic forms, gamma i believe, terminals deep in their territories would be used to accept trophies to increase their difficulty level for a limited time. we would have to LITERALLY hunt the bosses to get tek and progress, this would also mean PVE would have to build proper defenses for their bases in and near territory zones. also the ocean and lakes would have a boss as well. also a poisoning effect for sea creatures in river and lake habitats and vice versa, to being in a unhospital habitat. some map specific creatures would be needed too" ORCAs would have a rush ability that would stun a creature when it run in to it and deal additional damage to Sharks (Orcas hunt sharks this way literally just for fun. killerWhale is not a joke name). Another smaller shark, maybe TIGER SHARKs, Rodhocetus, Desmatosuchus, maybe few mythical creatures like HIPPO-CAMPI and THUNDERBIRDs, some ideas for boss territories would be: Volcanic Mountains - DRAGON with weak fire/lightning wyvern minions Dence Rainforest Ruins - MEGAPITHECUS with its usual Gigantopithecus horde Under ground Cave ruins - BROODMOTHER LYSRIX with Arano and Titanomyrma Frozen Northern Plains - new boss idea SAVAGE GIGANOTOSAURUS, solo, (BIGGER, THORNIER, ANGRIER) Abyssal Oceanic Crags - KRAKEN (lest face it we need this) with Ammonite, Eurypterid, Ichthyosaurus and Angler Deep Lake tunnels - LAVIATHAN (Massive Fanged Whale) with sabertooth salmon, Kaprosuchus and leeches Desert/Oasis - MANTICORE with Weak poison Wyvern minions Central Skies - SOLAR PHOENIX solo or with griffons, this one would be HIGH in the skies and usually not be able to seen from the ground its terminal will be the same terminal in the center of the map used to access the OVERSEER end fight. Jet streams will crisscross the Solar Phoenixes area being inside one will keep parachuters hovering, gliders and fliers will recover stamina and gain altitude anyways thats my idea, all the inbetween area would be normal zones but obviously the stronger more powerful dinos would exist in the boss territories
  17. I will probably be adding new ideas to this in the future. While playing ARK, I have noticed that the water is very dull. I never go diving unless I'm gathering pearls or exploring an underwater cave. This has given me a few ideas to make ARK's oceans more interesting. New water based map with... -New biomes: underwater volcanoes, kelp forests, reefs, trenches -A few small islands for spawning, obelisks, and gathering land resources such as wood. -New creatures: octopus (shoulder-mounted, can camouflage), helicoprion, giant sea turtle, sea snail, crabs (shoulder-mounted), flying fish (can jump out of water and glide short distances), small tameable jellyfish, narwhal -New items and structures: submarine, airtight diving cage (can be lowered deep into the water from a raft, gives oxygen when inside it), airtight building structures (don't require tek vacuum compartments), ventilation pipes (used to carry fresh, breathable air to underwater bases), rubber or sealant (for building anything airtight) -TLC's for current water dinos in the game Be aware that these are just a few beginning ideas. Many of these ideas may not work, and/or many new ideas could come up. Also be sure to reply with more ideas anyone may have to add to this. I also think the new creatures listed here should be added to the other maps to improve all the water environments.

    Small Creatures

    I am a fan of the smaller creatures in the game. I just wish that they were a more challenging feat to overcome. In survival some smaller creatures can be the most deadly. So I would like to see some small creatures bring this type of challenge to the game. I also would appreciate a few new pet types just for fun also. Some ideas: Mosquitos - like leeches could have 2 versions,one of them that carries a disease. Also,they could be in swarms that give them + to chance of infecting. Ticks - again like leeches but also like jug bugs that can give you blood. If tamed could also be shoulder mounted. Nemicolopterus - A small pterosaur that is pretty delicate. This would bring a nice little pet to the game but because it being small and delicate would make it a challenge to get without killing it. Smaller Snakes/Scorpions/Spiders - these could involve a venom more deadly than poison just putting people to sleep. In detail the venom would have a death counter that forces you to get an antidote before death. This would make people not want to play if they were super aggressive so I would make them passive aggressive much like Bigfoot. Also allow these to be tamed or at least use the egg/nest method so players can have them. Spiders and Scorpions would be able to climb walls/trees and the spiders could maybe drop down by webbing. Yeah most of these could just be a mod but it would be nice to have official new models,animations and mechanics. Chameleon Lizards - while not the most useful in combat they could grant cloaking to the person they shoulder mount. Maybe that could be useful to cloak from things like Pegomastax and Ichthyornis for anti-theft. Perhaps even use tongue lashing for chitin and an anti bug ability. For balancing you could have each gender do a specific ability. Spitting Cobra - These could probably fit into the other spot with the spiders and scorpions but I wanted to list it apart from that because its a bit different and would have all new animations because of the cobras retractable umbrella head deal and idle coil stance. Also,these would have options for turret mode while shoulder mounted. Current creatures that should have shoulder mount options with abilities: Lystro (XP gain buff) Troodon (tranq assist and torp resistance while mounted) Jug Bug (water) Glowbug (same as other lantern pets) Trilobyte (armor buff when mounted) Bee (gathers and forages honey,sap and flowers from the wild with no shoulder mount ability)

After trying to build up on ps4 in the sunken forest, I have noticed that tames cant gather resources of any sort, as well as you also cant bolar creatures or other people. will this be fixed soon? I was also disappointed to see that there were no mushroom trees, aberration creatures or light pets, why are they not in extinction and will they be added eventually

  21. People often say how bad Araneomorphus amalgotantibus is, but I'd like to contest this statement. *DISCLAIMER: This is only my own opinion and is not necessarily "right'. People are entitled to their opinions and that should be respected. People often forget about Araneomorphus, not just due to its range (caves) but also because of the stigma about why they shouldn't be tamed. They say the web ability isn't all that useful, and its torpor-inducing bite just isn't good enough. In my opinion, these people are wrong. Araneomorphus is a good cave-crawling creature because it can fit into any cave, can induce torpor and shoot webs for a quick getaway from dangerous enemies, and is fairly fast. At high levels like the current community's obsession with breeding Canis maxdirus for stats, it is inferior, but in terms of escaping opponents this is not your average garbage dump. Araneomorphus amalgotantibus may not be a Canis maxdirus or Thylacoleo furtamorsis, but in the right hands, this can get you good artifacts with relative ease.
