Yet Another Creature we need post Hi so I've been here since... like day one of beta before we had more then maybe 20 creatures. So I wanted to say thanks for all the years of fun and for more to come! Also I know you likely get this, like every 2 seconds, but I have no programming ability or any skills with computers but I do have a massive encyclopedia of a brain on prehistoric animals (animals in general really). I have always since first playing wanted to create just one creature for ARK or at least make a pitch for one specific underrated creature to join the many beasties we need to run from. Creature in question is from a little discussed or acknowledged lineage of Archosaurid who is flat out the most ridiculous creature ever to be concived by nature until you remember it was THE apex predator of its time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythrosuchus Sorry about being one of those messages but thanks for your time, and thanks for a fantastic game!

I had a cool idea for a new ARK. It would need to be huge and the main draw would be free roaming bosses. Each of the current bosses would have a territory and be ranked from beginner to endgame. Each free roaming boss would be its respective basic forms, gamma i believe, terminals deep in their territories would be used to accept trophies to increase their difficulty level for a limited time. we would have to LITERALLY hunt the bosses to get tek and progress, this would also mean PVE would have to build proper defenses for their bases in and near territory zones. also the ocean and lakes would have a boss as well. also a poisoning effect for sea creatures in river and lake habitats and vice versa, to being in a unhospital habitat. some map specific creatures would be needed too" ORCAs would have a rush ability that would stun a creature when it run in to it and deal additional damage to Sharks (Orcas hunt sharks this way literally just for fun. killerWhale is not a joke name). Another smaller shark, maybe TIGER SHARKs, Rodhocetus, Desmatosuchus, maybe few mythical creatures like HIPPO-CAMPI and THUNDERBIRDs, some ideas for boss territories would be: Volcanic Mountains - DRAGON with weak fire/lightning wyvern minions Dence Rainforest Ruins - MEGAPITHECUS with its usual Gigantopithecus horde Under ground Cave ruins - BROODMOTHER LYSRIX with Arano and Titanomyrma Frozen Northern Plains - new boss idea SAVAGE GIGANOTOSAURUS, solo, (BIGGER, THORNIER, ANGRIER) Abyssal Oceanic Crags - KRAKEN (lest face it we need this) with Ammonite, Eurypterid, Ichthyosaurus and Angler Deep Lake tunnels - LAVIATHAN (Massive Fanged Whale) with sabertooth salmon, Kaprosuchus and leeches Desert/Oasis - MANTICORE with Weak poison Wyvern minions Central Skies - SOLAR PHOENIX solo or with griffons, this one would be HIGH in the skies and usually not be able to seen from the ground its terminal will be the same terminal in the center of the map used to access the OVERSEER end fight. Jet streams will crisscross the Solar Phoenixes area being inside one will keep parachuters hovering, gliders and fliers will recover stamina and gain altitude anyways thats my idea, all the inbetween area would be normal zones but obviously the stronger more powerful dinos would exist in the boss territories

The main basis of this idea is an Ark with more verticality rather than horizontality if that's even a word... Current maps are expansive in all directions with biomes sorted neatly into puzzle pieces that form what we see as the world. For example the Island's Jungle or Aberration's Mushroom Forest. What I propose is to have each biome be a "floor" within the world, with the player needing to go to keep descending downwards. Aberration explored this idea lightly by separating the overworld from the underground whilst Extinction separated specific biomes to particular zones. The structure would resemble dungeons in which players explore floor after floor handling each of their specific challenges. Say one floor being submerged in water entirely except for floating bubbles whilst another would be a series of tunnels and caverns. As for the theme of this expansion the name says a lot: emphasis on plants & insects. Ranging from berries, vegetables and mushrooms as well as the addition of some fruits, additional food types with available effects and recipes are welcomed, but it is the next portion that particularly excites me. Natural vegetation obstacles. I'm talking about: Venus Flytraps camouflaged with the environment and suddenly biting towards passing creatures Creatures walking over leaves or vines only for them to break and fall inside a Pitcher Plant that traps it to consume them if they don't escape on time Mutated Lichen that continuously but slowly expands over structures if not taken out Creatures getting tangled in vines and/or roots from floating Cattails (underwater) slowing speed or even suffocating them. Naturally, having some of these accessible as seeds to plant would be amazing as well! As for insects, start by making the available ones breedable by crafting or finding places to place their brood. Then add others such as: Huge Rhyno beetles (which can walk or fly very slowly but can carry a lot, and can take a lot of damage and in the case of males dish it out as well) A larger variant of Meganeura which players can ride on. Silkworms that are carried for high insulation but also possess the once mentioned, but never implemented, perk of the moth to generate silk. The Ant Queen that was once teased, but never officially revealed can come into play in a very similar manner to the Queen Bee's summoning of bee warriors! The idea in a crutch is a layered underground world, possibly going down the roots of a large tree that functions as the starting point for the player. This map would serve as not only a survival challenge, but also speedrunning challenge, fun and varied stages of pvp or simply a wondrous experience as players find themselves seemingly shrunk to the size of ants! This idea is one I've imagined for some time which is why it's so expansive. Call it my dream DLC and if they so little as inspire One idea from the developers I'd be quite content. If not, just seeing new creatures come is always fun!

One of the things that annoy me about solo farming stone is that the dinos (all but doedic) dont attack recources on their own, I would love to give them a stance for it or make like a bone/carrot/kibbbe on a stick costume to make them auto attack (atleast until weightcap or just constant, with the on a stick you can give spoil time to make sure people wont leave all their dinos on auto attack

WILD Gorgonopsid. Simply speaking the name gives me shivers. This magnificent beast is like a Rex on four legs. Fast, strong and deadly with the hight of a Diplodocus. Gorgonopsid are known for picking up and ripping aparteven the biggest of creatures. The whole Island is the Gorgonopsids territory. It will roam the beaches, stalk the Redwoods, slender along the rivers and even climb the Volcano. Because these ferocious carnivores are loners and will quickly kill its own kind there are never more than two on The Island. Lucky for us. . Domesticated I have only ever witnessed one man being able to tame the monster that is Gorgonopsid. It proved to be of immense help to the tribe. In war times it stood its own against the mightiest battle Rexes, during travel nothing will approach it and its ability to safely carry large creatures in its jaws across the Island is unlike anything I have seen before. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey everybody, this is my first dossier. The Gorgonopsid is a creature I wanted in Ark for years. It is a creature that equals the Rex in stats, is large in stature and a late end game tame. Its strenght makes it a viable boss creature, its rarity a treasured mount. We have flyers that can carry a lot of creatures. The Argent, Wyvern and Quetz mostly, but we do not have a single land creature that can carry bigger creatures into your taming pen / base. The Gorgonopsid would give you just that. What do you guys think? tl;dr: A creature suggestion: The Gorgonopsid. A strong land mount that can safely carry large creatures in its mouth and viable as a boss creature.
