Pillar Overhaul/Removing Nubs Issues with pillars have been common since the beginning; either by their odd snap points or the like but they are necessary in most cases to build a functional base on the many uneven terrains of the arks. The structure of the pillar as a whole in my opinion needs a overhaul but for the sake of this suggestion I will be talking about a part of the aesthetics of the pillar. We all know when you place a pillar down first then a ceiling the ceiling will snap to the top of the pillar with a flush, smooth top but when you try to place a ceiling down first (attached to another structure) then a pillar down from that ceiling it leaves a unnecessarily large nub sticking out from the top of the ceiling. These nubs are not pleasing to the eye to any builder and when you try to go around the problem by placing all your pillars first then when its time to upgrade the pillars underneath they default back to the nub sticking out from the ceiling. Its especially annoying when people place bear traps within the nubs so you cant see where they are just to mess with you while you are stuck there for who knows how long trying to get out of the traps in your own base. In short, if there is a way to revamp the pillar structure all together or just remove the nubs from the top of the ceilings so our floors/ceilings can be smooth and flush it would be much appreciated. Summary: Overhaul the pillar structure to make them more simplified and/or remove the nubs from the pillars that protrude through ceilings.
Greenhouse Triangle Ceiling Bug After building our waterfall base on Valguero PVE, we noticed a bug with the greenhouse triangle ceilings. They can still be picked up after the "pick up allowed for __ seconds" timer has ended. The option to pick up the ceiling after the timer ends is automatic, thus meaning if you accidentally press triangle or go to claim a baby dino, it auto picks up the ceiling without the usual "press and hold triangle" function. This is especially troublesome when attempting to claim baby dinos and I often fall through the floor because of it. (lol) What it looks like right after the ceiling is placed: What it looks like after the timer is gone: Relevant side note: One ceiling even broke as my tribemate was jumping around the base.
Re: Triangle Roof/Ceiling Snap Points [Console] Okay, so I am struggling to complete my roof, and am appealing to the masses for possible suggestions or workarounds. I've illustrated the problems I've encountered in the images included below: https://ibb.co/m59qg2c - This is simply my floor design, for context. I am trying to have a sloped triangle roof sectioned by normal sloped roofs, but didnt even get that far due to the issues below https://ibb.co/D8RWGR0 - This is the first problem I encountered, when building as one would naturally from the ground up. As you can see, there is no snap point to attach a Triangle Ceiling to a Triangle Roof https://ibb.co/wcxxs6S - And this is the second roadblock, when I attempted to cheese the design by building downward from the top. Here, the Triangle Roof has no available "downward" postion, even when cycling through all available snap points and rotations, something I have only encountered when building down from the top like this. So, I will run into one of these problems regardless of whether I start from the bottom or top. I'm hoping one of you veterans will be able to offer up a solution! It is so irritating to have these pieces in the game and for them to not work in conjunction with one another. Originally, I had tried to build my sloped roof up and inward from the outer edge, but quickly found out that there is a sizeable gap between the Sloped Triangles and where they should intersect with the wall I have acting as a central support. I can include a picture of this as well if needed, but I assume that a snap-point trick is more likely than WC changing the model/orientation for these triangles
