  1. So as the title said, I find this boss fight an absolute unfair pain and would like to discuss it. I entered the boss fight with my best pair of flak, a rock drake with 3k+ Stam and 40k hp and an ascendant saddle with 133 armor, 18 megalos each with ascendant saddles 40k hp and each dealing 4k with their primary, and a heavily leveled reaper king. I had a pump action shotgun with 300+ damage on it and just under 2k durability and 800 slugs along with shadow stakes and med brews. So you may be thinking I have everything I could possibly need right? NO, and If I had to guess I wasn't even close. Each tentacle took roughly 3 reloads to take down (14 shots each) and dealth 200-400 damage to my drake even with the great saddle. On top of that, each of the orbs DESTROYED my armor and a good chunk of health leaving me naked before the nameless even started spawning, I later got 2 shot by the orbs as he was roughly half hp and turned of the game. This, in my opinion, is absolute bs. I play solo and can't get other tribe members to help so I'm just screwed unless I can reload to the save I made before the fight and perform a miracle. This could entirely be a skill issue but I don't think I was playing all the bad and it was just a combination of constant orbs, WAY too bulky tentacles, reaper slow, and the stupid electric attack that just made it a migraine followed by a stupid death. Am I the only one who went through this or something similar? I say we scale him down more for singleplayer before abb comes out on ASA to make him less of a hassle, such as making the tentacles weaker as to not survive 15k worth of damage. Tldr: Alpha Rockwell on aberration is too strong and obnoxious and deserves a nerf, sincerely a disgruntled ark player
  2. Hello survivors. I introduce you to my first creature concept for ARK so don't hesitate to ask for more details and also share your ideas in the comments. Thank you. I find it a pity that with more than 50,000 species known in our time only one type of spider is found in the game, which we will not lie to ourselves is not really useful. (Araneo) So I wanted to look into the subject to give the game and the players more diversity. (sorry for our arachnophobic friends) Mygalomorphae Aspída Aspidas have the same physical characteristics as mygals that we know at least if we don’t take into account their terrifying size. They are slightly smaller than karkinos but more massive, and would have chitin outgrowths on their bodies, particularly on their legs and abdomen, which would enable them to withstand blows, hence their name Aspída, meaning shield in Greek. Mygale without chitin outgrowths Shielded abdomen Wild : They are found mainly in the warm regions of the globe, tropical and subtropical areas such as dense wet or dry forests under rocks and tree strains but more in caves. Solitary by nature, females Aspídas live in their dens, a corner covered with cloth, whose entrance is trapped where they wait for a prey to be caught. Being a carnivorous species they will devour all creatures below their size caught in their trap, if they take too great a risk with their prey, they will not hesitate to free it to avoid serious injury. Unlike the males, who they constantly wander in search of females and will hunt the unconscious passing too close to them, except in the face of a more massive predator where they will prefer to avoid confrontation. However, male Aspídas can be seen leaping from rock faces to land violently on a predator, pinning it to the ground and delivering the fatal blow. Taming : (PASSIVE) Only female Aspídas can be tamed. To do this, you will need to draw her to the entrance of her dungeon with a baston or yourself and do her as much damage as possible before she kills your baston. She will eventually release her prey to shelter in her baston by plowing the entry with her body by adopting a defensive posture and will begin to regenerate. They will just take your assault back to starve her enough, which will have the effect of making her unable to treat herself, obviously be careful not to kill her during the process. After that she will stop defending herself and try to feed herself by grabbing your bastón and train her into her bark to devour it. To tame an Aspída, a single domestic dinosaur must be sacrificed. The taming speed varies according to the size and wild level of the dinosaur. The larger the prey, the longer the taming time, but will gain more levels compared to smaller prey that can be digested quickly. At the end of the taming process, the prey dies instantly. You will also have the opportunity to do it yourself by leaving yourself caught. (Again sorry for the arachnophobes) Before she devours you, you will use an insect repellent which will prevent her from biting you, and will leave you the field free to feed her with the "Filthy porridge" cooked in advance. If you delay feeding it, it will propel you out of its cage due to the insect repellent. Size Quantity Time Level (Aspída) Small x1 ≈ 2h29 lvl 75 Medium x1 ≈ 3h15 lvl 75 Large x1 ≈ 4h06 lvl 75 Filthy porridge x33 16min lvl 150 Recipe: "Filthy porridge" (2x raw prime meat) (10x organic polymer) (20x chitin) (5x human/leech blood) (3x silk) (1x waste*) * Waste is the undigested remains of aspídas prey, found in front of dens and close to male aspídas. Abilities: - The Aspída is a basic attack thanks to its first pair of legs which it shakes from top to bottom. (left click) She is also able to catch creatures in two different ways : 1- With its first pair of legs, it can catch creatures of equal or smaller size than stegosaurus. 2- Using her pedipalps, she can catch smaller creatures, including players. The larger or heavier the creature, the more the Aspída will lose in speed of movement. (Right click) - Aspída's body is covered with thin urticant hair that serves to repel its aggressors. (Crouch key) She rubs her abdomen with her fourth pair of legs to create a cloud of hair that will slow down any creatures that enter, and blind them if their heads are touched. - The particularity of the Aspída is its armored body which gives it a good basic resistance to physical damage. She can considerably increase this resistance by adopting a defensive posture, bringing her legs closer to her cephalothorax. (Ctrl) This dramatically reduces damage and protects the player from outside attacks, but reduces movement speed. This posture prevents him from catching creatures, but allows him to fend them off with his first pair of legs. The projection distance varies according to the creature's size, and only applies to creatures it can catch. (Right click) - She is only able to cure herself when she is in a defensive position. (Crouch Key) This healing mechanic is quite special because it is based on the fact that the Aspída needs to generate a "reserve of fluid" that it consumes to heal itself. This reserve is charged when the Aspída eats its prey or by making it eat "Filthy porridge". - When the Aspída catches creatures its base attack changes to a bite. (left click) This attack is used by stabbing the prey with its fangs without releasing it. The neurotoxin that paralyzes the prey prevents it from defending itself, not to mention the enzyme that predigests the internal organs and drains the life that feeds the Aspída's "fluid reserve". The creatures in this situation have only two solutions to hope to survive, either the Aspída releases it on its own, or an opposing player uses insect repellent on his mount, forcing the Aspída to let go. Bitten creatures and players will be given a malus (which reverses their movements or makes them look drunk) and slowed down, the duration of the malus depending on the duration of the bite. If the prey dies due to the process, its body turns into waste that the Aspída recovers in its inventory. - The Aspída shows incredible mobility thanks to its eight legs and moving on any type of surface (walls, ceilings). She has a jump that propels it forwards or upwards, depending on the camera angle, to surprise its prey. (Spacebar) The upward leap enables him to reach creatures in the air to catch them. - During a fall she can slow down its descent by linking its legs with its web and hovering to gain ground. (Spacebar) Weaknesses : The Aspida is immobilizable by the projectable net except when she is in its defensive position which reduces by two the time of immobilization and does not deflect the player and is not affected by the plants Z. But its greatest weaknes is fire. Once burned the Aspída can no longer heal itself and suffers more damage than other creatures. In its defensive position the flaming torches and arrows do not burn it and for the oil bottles, the flame lances and the wyvern fire take longer to be able to burn her. Breeding : Only females Aspídas can be tamed, so no mating.... It's a joke, of course it's possible to mate Aspídas ... but without males it's impossible unless you accept that wild male Aspídas can be good lovers, because yes that is the only way. You will first need to locate a male, secure the area around him to avoid accidents that could interfere with mating. Place yourself at a distance from the male to activate mating on your female, who will release pheromones that the male will detect and hasten to join her. Stay away from them, chasing away any unwanted intruders. Mating is rather quick, due to the cannibalistic manner of the females towards the males during mating. This forces them not to stay too long, so don't forget to put the female on "passive" to prevent her from devouring him. Males have a relatively short waiting time after each mating, compared to other creatures, giving other tribes a chance to enjoy them too. Babies : The female Aspída makes a cocoon to place its many eggs safely. The number of births is very low, between two and five, compared to the large number of eggs in the cocoon, this is due to the fact that they devour in them. (Nature is well done) Babies feed on "Filthy porridge", then as adults they will be able to eat spoiled meat like their parents and their gender will be determined in adulthood. Players can decide where the Aspída will set up its cocoon by giving it the order to place it on the floor, wall or ceiling. Utility : - I wanted to make the Aspída an alternative to the stegosaurus, with more uses and more gameplay variations, while at the same time playing the role of a tank that can destabilize the opposing team at any moment. - In terms of statistics, Aspída's health, stamina and weight are high, and she'll be the ARK creature with the most defense. - Its displacement capabilities allow it to go over walls to reach enemy defenses on the edge of cliffs or cave ceilings for example. - Its defensive posture enables it to support stegosaurus during raids, and also to heal itself by consuming "Immonde Mud", which feeds its fluid reserve. - Defensive posture and care can be activated in the Aspída action roulette. - Due to her diet, she can swallow consumables reserved for humans and benefit from certain advantages such as energy stew with +30% melee damage, concentration chili with +25% movement speed and pint of beer with increased damage resistance and without the nausea malus. Let's not forget that it feeds on the liquefied entrails of its prey. This allows us to adapt to the situation, such as rushing into bases under enemy turret fire to catch players or creatures playing at a distance. -Like Thylacoleos, Aspídas can project themselves into the void from a rock face (walls, ceilings, etc.) to catch flying or terrestrial prey. Flying prey will be grabbed and violently slammed to the ground, which will severely injure and stun them for a time, depending on the height of the fall and the weight of the Aspída. On the other hand, if a player is on top of the prey, he'll be thrown from his mount due to the impact on the ground. The same applies to terrestrial prey. Creatures that will be affected by this mechanic are those that can be caught with the first pair of legs and creatures larger than the stegosaurus, such as diplodocus, karkinos, paraceratherium, reaper, rock drake, spinosaurus, quetzal, wyvern, mamouth, ext ..., and also other Aspídas. Smaller creatures, including players using their pedipalps, are not affected, but can be caught in the air. - The use of insect repellent allows players and creatures to free themselves from the grip of Aspída after 3 seconds. - The player has the option to use his weapons on the back of the Aspída except during his defensive posture.
  3. Posted June 4 Name: Shantungosaurus ‭(‬Shantung lizard‭)‬. Phonetic: Shan-tung-o-sore-us. Named By: Hu‭ ‬-‭ ‬1973. Synonyms: Zhuchengosaurus maximus. Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Reptilia,‭ ‬Dinosauria,‭ ‬Ornithischia,‭ ‬Ornithopoda,‭ ‬Hadrosauridae,‭ ‬Saurolophinae. Species: S.‭ ‬giganteus‭ (‬type‭)‬. Diet: Herbivore. Size: Largest individuals approaching up to 15 to 16.5 meters long. Known locations: China‭ ‬-‭ ‬Shandong Peninsula‭ ‬-‭ ‬Wangshi Formation. Time period: Late Cretaceous. Fossil representation: Partial remains of many individuals allowing for composite reconstructions. I'm not good at making drawings, but I'm gonna try to describe him with some images. Well my Idea is for Shantugosaurus but in really in steroids to compete with gigas and carchas in pvp, but it will help the player a lot in pve, I will say now: Wild:a male wild shant will always be territorial towards other carnivores, due to their size being practically the size of a giga you will be able to watch these animals stand up on two legs and roar making gigas and other predators run in fear. the females are more docile, but they will tolerate your presence up to a certain distance where the indicative is your nostrils flaring and turning red which is a signal for you survivor to run Process of taming: the process of taming these creatures is not that simple, as you will have to throw mushrooms with radiation for them to eat and pray that they don't find you when they eat, as the animal will enter the berserker state where a fold of skin on its The back will swell with blood (like deviljho, representation image below) and its nostrils will be swollen and they will be knocking down everything in sight, but when they leave that state, the animal will be torpor and fall from fatigue, where you can tame it normally. Tamed: once tamed, the female and male will have different roles. The male will have the ability to crop plots on the ground without needing structures and you can switch this to an attack mode where when hitting the enemy with the snout with the spike structure on the snout, the enemy will suffer bleeding and radiation (yes the this animal's attacks emit radiation) and can scare giga-sized creatures. the female will serve as an anti radiation truck for radioactive areas, where she will give an anti radiation aura to the survivor without him needing an anti radiation suit. And when you unlock the tek tecnology, you can make the tek shant saddle, where he gonna have a laser horn to make the plot easiers and with no need of addubing and in the attack mode the laser horn gonna chance where when the shant inflict the hit, Will gonna make the enemies dinos being in beserk and hit each other ( If you have radioactive mushrooms in the inventory) and the female the saddle be equipped with Guns where when the female absorvs enough radiation you can shoot this radiation from this Guns on the back. Abilities: right click: Bite left click: stomp x: Male ( farm mode or damage mode when you continue the press button you gonna make the moves). Female ( she gonna put the anti radiation mode ) C : the fear roar or in the mate companion gonna buff the 2 with more armor and dmg q: stampede 😄
  4. Common Name: Edmontosaurus Species: Edmontosaurus annectens Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: "When I first saw this colossal herbivore, I thought it was a gentle animal. But that's not the case with Edmontosaurus. This creature usually goes in small herds of 4 individuals and at least one member of the group is a baby. For this reason, adults show extremely territorial behavior against any possible threat. Even if you are a newly arrived survivor! The Edmontosaurus on this ark have evolved by developing a complex bioluminescent system. When their body does not generate light, it means that they are calm while walking through the mushroom forests. But as soon as the light on their bodies turns red, it is a warning sign because they feel threatened and could soon respond aggressively." Domesticated: "Some survivors discovered that the Edmontosaurus's diet can affect its bioluminescence. By consuming any type of mushroom, it is capable of releasing certain spores around it and allowing the creature to use abilities that in the wild it would not be able to. Any ally within his radius will be under a healing or lighting effect, depending on what their tamer decides. Allied dinos recover their health faster and the nameless don't even dare to come to the surface with Edmontosaurus present! There is also a third ability that the creature can use once it consumes mushrooms. It consists of concentrating its spores and releasing them in a powerful shock wave that damages everything within the radius. This allows the Edmontosaurus to harvest any material around it and deal heavy damage to any enemies nearby. This set of skills makes the edmontosaurus a worthy rival to apex predators or even bosses and a great explorer of the radioactive zone Introduction: Greetings survivors! I present to you my humble idea of the Edmontosaurus, the massive herbivore of aberration The main functions of this dino consist of: Rol as a Support Instant healer Light creature Area damage Tank turrets Area Harvester Immunity to torpor, toxins and radiation Ability to find max-level creatures Taming helper Wild: Edmontosaurus usually roam the green zone of aberration, although they can rarely be seen in the blue zone. As they are the largest herbivore on this ark (rivaling in size with spinosaurus or even a reaper king), only a maximum of one herd can spawn (between 4 and 5 specimens, one of them being a baby). They are not fast, but they can be very insistent when they enter a territorial state. Taming Process: Since the adults are too dangerous, the only alternative is to tame the baby of the herd. The process is complex: being a bioluminescent creature, the survivor must attract the baby with a light creature. It should be approached little by little, with the light creature turned on and without attracting the attention of adults.(It is recommended to wear a camouflage suit. Only the baby will detect you if you have the light on) Once the baby becomes curious, it will slowly approach until it is within reach of the survivor. When the baby starts to wag its tail, turn off the light and wait for the edmontosaurus start a light sequence. Once finished, the baby will turns his head to the side and that means it is your turn to imitate the pattern. If you repeat the pattern correctly using your light creature, the baby will let itself be fed by you. But if you make a mistake, the baby will start crying and the adults will respond aggressively. As you tame the baby, the confidence of the adults will change depending on the taming bar. From 1% to 25% domestication, adult edmontosaurus will be territorial if they spot you. from 26 to 50% domestication, adults will only watch you in case they detect you. From 51 to 100% domestication, the adults will no longer be territorial, unless you make the baby cry. Once the little edmontosaurus has been domesticated, the wild adults will no longer behave territorially towards the survivor, unless a new baby appears in the herd. Tamed: Congratulations! You have tamed an Edmontosaurus. Like any baby, you will need to spend time and care with it until it becomes an adult and finally uses its abilities. Actions: Primary Attack: A basic bite attack. It doesn't deal much damage, but it does help you harvest berries, fiber, wood, and straw. Secondary Attack: Generates a radius that allows you to use any of the edmontosaurus' spore abilities (requires consuming 100 mushrooms of any type) Spores Abilities (Click C, , ): Allows the Edmontosaurus to activate any of its 3 spore abilities. (healing state, lighting state, shock wave) Bipedal posture (Press Control, , ): allows the dino to stop using its quadrupedal stance and move bipedally, making it faster when walking or running (spore abilities not available in this state) Spores Abilities: Each spore ability requires the edmontosaurus to consume a total of 100 mushrooms of any type. This will recharge a spore fuel that will appear next to the survivor's inventory (just like mek fuel). Depending on which skill you use, the edomontosaurus will consume a certain percentage of this fuel. Heal state: When it activates, it instantly heals allies for 25% of the Edmontosaurus's total health (the more health the dino has, the more it heals) Then, over a 5 min period, all allies within range will be healed for a 5% of Edmontosaurus's total health constantly. Once that period is over, the edmontosaurus will be able to use any of its spores ability again. (Using this skill will consume 25% of the spore fuel) Lighting state: When activated, it creates a lighting effect on all allies within its radius. Prevents the appearance of nameless and reaper kings. It also allows you to identify max level creatures nearby. This state of the Edmontosaurus combined with a good battle mount, will allow you to fight or tame Reapers. The lighting range will be affected by the amount of stamina on the dino (The more stamina it has, the larger the area affected by the light will be) The duration of this state is 10 minutes. Once finished, the dino will be able to use any of its spore abilities again. (Using this skill will consume 50% of the spore fuel) Shock Wave: When activated, it generates a powerful shockwave that destroys any harvestable material around it and the resources will be stored in the Edmontosaurus's inventory. Enemies that are affected by this ability will take triple the total damage of the dino (example: if the edmontosaurus has 200 damage, the shock wave will do 600 damage) In addition, enemies will be affected by a bleeding and a bones fracture that weaken them for a few seconds. The damage and shockwave effects are instant, but cooldown is 3 minutes to use any of his spore abilities. (using this skill will consume 100% of the spore fuel) Conclusion: Edmontosaurus is a mount with primarily support uses. However, the combination of those skills along with proper upbringing make him an indispensable dino. There are few healers available in the game and few herbivores capable of taking on dangerous predators like rexes, reapers, or even gigas. Edmontosaurus opens the door for a hervivorean (not counting titanosaurus) to be able to take on the ark's dangerous apex predators. Thanks you
  5. SPECIES: Thylacinus cynocephalus SIZE: Length 5-6.2 ft.; 2 ft. tall at shoulder; Weight up to 77 lbs. BODY PARTS: Wide jaws with strong teeth, striped back HABITAT: Tasmania, an island off southern Australia PREY: Kangaroos, wallabies, sheep WHEN? Species dates back to 23 million years ago; became extinct in mid-1930s Killing at night with a bone- crushing bite, the Tasmanian wolf decimated sheep herds and struck fear and outrage into sheep farmers. Superstitions even arose that this wolf craved blood like a vampire. The animal was eventually hunted to an early extinction. BIG MOUTH: The wolf could open its jaws enormously wide, at an angle of over 160°, much wider than a normal wolf. The animal's powerful jaw muscles helped it smash through the bones of its victims. INVISIBLE STALKER: Dark stripes, numbering nine to thirteen, started at the middle of the back and ran down its body along the tail. They provided camouflage as the wolf watched for prey from the shadows. When the Tasmanian wolf was first spotted, no one knew exactly what it was. Some called it a tiger, some a wolf and others a zebra wolf. Most agreed it was a bloodthirsty killer, and people shot, poisoned and trapped the animal until there were no more left. The last known Tasmanian wolf died at Hobart Zoo in Australia on Sept. 7, 1936. MOOD SWING: The wolf's 2-foot-long tail was stiff and thick at the base. The animal could sit back on it like a kangaroo. Unlike dogs, this animal didn't wag its tail to show its mood. CLOSE KIN: Despite its name, the Tasmanian wolf is much more closely related to a kangaroo than a wolf. Like many animals from the Australian area, it was a member of the marsupial group of mammals. RACK OF LAMB: With jaws open wide, the Tasmanian wolf could grab onto prey, such as sheep or a kangaroo, with a death-grip in one bite. Sometimes it simply bit into its victim's throat. Other times it would take an animal's entire head in its jaws, exerting tremendous pressure to crush the skull for an instant kill. The Tasmanian wolf devoured its prey straight away while the carcass was still fresh. It tore off meat until its belly was full. DID YOU KNOW? Early settlers thought that the Tasmanian wolf could hop on its hind legs like a kangaroo. Mechanics: Harvesting: With its powerful jaws it can harvest a lot of mutton and keratin from herbivores but not chitin from bugs. Note Finding: When having one following you it will tell you if an explorer note is nearby. Taming: To tame one you need to separate one from its pack and once its calm and collected you can lure one in with mutton chops and once fed it will retreat and you must follow it until is stops and lays down. once calm you must appear not threatening by removing and heavy armor not having any weapons in your inventory or creatures with you then feed it once again and comfort it. if it deems you a threat it will attack and kill you. Steps: It will ask for comfort food Request a pet or Ask to play fetch (Boomerang required) Pack Abilities: When in a pack it can generate an effect that staves off small predators like spiders, bats and Titanoboas. like a deinonychus a single wolf can latch onto a creature and drain its blood and if in a pack it can cause serious damage, but it wont work on bigger creatures but it will slow them down. Tek Harness: Being an aberrant creature on the station it possesses a connection to charge and with the construction of a Tek harness it can focus the charge like a charge lantern so you don't have to use one or put on down to stave off the nameless and you can have them walk around while you gather resources. it even has a turret mode. Over all i think this creature might be fun. we can always use more adorable little killers in survival games lol.
  6. Creature Name: Giant Purgatorius Description: The Giant Purgatorius is a remarkable and fearsome primate that inhabits the wild and treacherous landscapes of Ark. This unique creature possesses several extraordinary characteristics that set it apart from other creatures in the game. Size: Comparable to a oviraptor Physical Attributes: The Giant Purgatorius boasts a compact yet muscular build, with a dense layer, loose of fur covering its body. Despite its small stature, the creature possesses surprising strength and agility, enabling it to maneuver swiftly through the dense foliage and rugged terrains. Sensory Abilities: While lacking the ability to see, the Giant Purgatorius compensates with an acute sense of smell that surpasses that of most creatures in Ark. Its olfactory capabilities are highly developed, allowing it to detect even the faintest scents and track its prey with astonishing accuracy. This heightened sense of smell also aids the creature in navigating its surroundings, helping it avoid obstacles and locate vital resources. Physical Attributes: The Giant Purgatorius possesses a unique defense mechanism in the form of a loose layer of dense fur that covers its body. This specialized adaptation, reminiscent of the resilient honey badger, provides exceptional protection against bites and slashes from other creatures. The fur acts as a natural armor, cushioning the impact of attacks and reducing the severity of injuries inflicted upon the Giant Purgatorius. As a result, it can withstand a remarkable amount of damage during battles and encounters, enhancing its chances of survival even when confronted by larger adversaries. This remarkable defensive attribute, combined with its other formidable qualities, makes the Giant Purgatorius a force to be reckoned with in the unforgiving world of Ark: survival Ascended Behavior and Ferocity: The Giant Purgatorius is known for its ferocity and unwavering protectiveness towards its young. Despite its blindness, it compensates with heightened aggression, fearlessly challenging formidable foes to safeguard its offspring. It exhibits incredible courage, even going so far as to confront a fearsome Giganotosaurus if it perceives a threat to its young. Engaging in battle with a Giant Purgatorius should not be taken lightly, as its tenacity and determination make it a formidable opponent. Taming Method: passive tame. Taming a Giant Purgatorius requires a unique approach. To gain its trust and deceive it into thinking you are one of its own, the player must obtain the pheromone of a recently slain offspring of the creature. By smearing this pheromone over their character, they can fool the parent Giant Purgatorius into accepting their presence. Once accepted, the player can start the taming process. However, this method requires careful execution and preparation, as the parent will be extremely protective and aggressive during the process. Taming Efficiency Boost: The Giant Purgatorius possesses a unique ability to nurture and protect other tames, significantly increasing their taming efficiency. When The Giant Purgatorius is present near a taming attempt, it exudes a pheromone that fosters a stronger bond between the player and the targeted creature. The pheromone emitted by The Giant Purgatorius has several beneficial effects. Firstly, it instills a sense of calm and trust in the targeted creature, reducing its fear and apprehension during the taming process. This makes the creature more open to the player's presence and interactions, expediting the taming progress. Furthermore, the pheromone of The Giant Purgatorius aids in soothing any wounds or injuries sustained by the creature during the taming process. It accelerates the natural healing process, ensuring that the creature remains in optimal condition and recovers swiftly from any damage incurred during the taming process. It's important to note that the The Giant Purgatorius's ability doesn't guarantee instant or effortless taming. It simply provides a nurturing and protective influence that fosters a stronger connection between the player and the tamed creature, enhancing the overall taming efficiency and success rate. By smearing the pheromone of a Giant Purgatorius offspring over a potential tame and setting your own Giant Purgatorius on "protective stance" mode, you can deceive it into perceiving the taming target as one of its own offspring. This clever tactic allows the Giant Purgatorius to serve as a fierce guardian, warding off potential threats that may attempt to attack the vulnerable, unconscious creature. Utilizing the Giant Purgatorius in this manner can significantly increase the success rate of taming valuable creatures, making it an invaluable asset for players seeking to bolster their taming endeavors in the wil ds of Ark: Survival Ascended. This creature is derived from the real world purgatorius - the first known primate. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purgatorius
  7. The Borealopelta is a heavily armored herbivore that can take a lot of damage from predators. It has a unique ability to camouflage itself, making it difficult for predators to spot. It's also a slow mover, so it's best to keep it in a protected area. Since the Borealopelta is a heavily armored herbivore, it would likely be able to withstand many of the dangers of the Aberration environment, such as radiation and hazardous terrain. However, it may struggle with the lack of vegetation in some areas, so it would need to be placed in an area where it can easily access food. Additionally, the Borealopelta's ability to camouflage itself could be especially useful in Aberration, as it would allow it to blend in with its surroundings and avoid detection by predators. To tame a Borealopelta in Ark Aberration, you would need to first knock it unconscious using a tranquilizer. Once it's unconscious, you can feed it its preferred food, which is Rockarrot. You'll need to continue feeding it Rockarrot until the taming bar is full. It's important to note that the Borealopelta has a very slow taming process, so be prepared to wait a while. Once it's tamed, you'll have a heavily armored herbivore that can take a lot of damage and has the unique ability to camouflage itself. In Ark Aberration, the Borealopelta is a passive creature, meaning that it won't attack unless provoked. However, if it is attacked, it will defend itself with its heavy armor and large size. It's important to note that the Borealopelta's slow movement speed can make it vulnerable to predators, so it's best to keep it in a protected area. Additionally, the Borealopelta's ability to camouflage itself can make it difficult to locate, so be sure to keep an eye on it if you're in an area with predators. A tamed Borealopelta in Ark Aberration would be useful for protection against predators, as its heavy armor and large size make it a formidable opponent. Additionally, the Borealopelta's ability to camouflage itself can make it difficult for predators to detect, making it a great defense against surprise attacks. Finally, the Borealopelta's slow movement speed can make it a good choice for base defense, as it can be placed in a strategic location to protect your base from enemy attacks. Saddle? Unfortunately, it's not possible to craft a saddle for the Borealopelta in Ark Aberration. While the Borealopelta can be tamed and ridden, it does not have a saddle that can be crafted. Instead, you'll need to use the Borealopelta's natural abilities to your advantage, such as its heavy armor and camouflage, to protect yourself and your base. In Ark Aberration, you can find Borealopelta in the Aberration Trench, which is located in the deepest part of the Aberration map. The Aberration Trench is a dangerous area filled with radiation, hazardous terrain, and dangerous creatures, so be sure to come prepared with plenty of supplies and a strong team of creatures to help you navigate the area safely. Additionally, the Borealopelta can sometimes be found wandering in other areas of the map, but it's most commonly found in the Aberration Trench.
  8. Before we begin. No this is not Godzilla, however it does takes some inspiration from the movie monster. Also yes the species of Coelophysoidea known as Gojirasaurus is considered dubious. Still many creatures in Ark are currently or have been considered dubious (troodon and bronto) So hopefully this will work as a legit creature submission for aberation. Also sorry for lack of good art I drew this in a hurry and wanted to submit asap. Gojirasaurus Wild The strange world of aberation is full of wierd and dangerous life so at first glance the Gojirasaurus looks underwhelming. A Raptor sized dino resembling a Dilo. They are fast and hunts in small packs, nimble bodied they can climb and jump across the rugged terrains and swiftly hunt prey. Overall average among the creatures of Ark. Still stories rise from the depth of the aberation lands, deep in the radiation zone lies beast of fearsome reputation. The Gojirasaurus that thrive in the depths of aberation have grown to large and fat sizes becoming slow and bulky with radioactive saliva drooling from their jaws. This mutated version stands taller than a Carno but smaller than a Rex, about Allo sized. With a oversized stomach and swollen throat this creature stands more up right and almost wobbles as it walks. But don't lets its awkward look fool you its a behemoth when it comes to fighting. This idea of the two different versions is like the Ferox. When a Gojirasaurus is given a special item to eat it mutates and grows into a giant battle behemoth. (This item being a new gem or farmable material in the radiation zone of aberation. ) Gojirasaurus tamed Taming is nothing special just tranq a Gojirasaurus in its small nimble foarm and feed it meat. The small version is simple. A quick early to mid game tame that is very similar to raptors. Except Gojirasaurus can climb walls and jump high and far (less than a procomptodon but more than a normal Raptor) ment to help explore, hunt small dinos, and excape danger. Stat wise I would put it as the same or similar to Raptors. Abilities *can jump and climb up walls *has a bite attack *has a claw attack *mutates when feed radiation gems The larger mutated version is a different story. Any Gojirasaurus can mutate so long as you feed them the required item (radiation gem). This mutation will last for about 60 seconds or 1 min per radiation gem consumed. Riding the mutated version will also require you to have on a hazmat suit unless you can tank the radiation damage the creatures gives off. Stats for this version change drastically from its basic foarm having high HP amd damage along with good carry weight and oxygen. However it's is obnoxiously slow and stamina is also low. However it does have a okay swim speed being faster in water than on Land. Abilities *bite attack *stomp attack (AOE) *tail attack (similar to a bronto tail swing) *special breath attack (this attack caused the creature to consume more radiation gems, its throat swells up and it will spit out a sludge ball like a Dilo would. This sludge is purple and glows and can be aimed while riding a Gojirasaurus, similar to a Magmasuars fire ball ability. Wherever the sludge lands it will damage creatures and survivors in a AOE causing radiation poison) The idea of this mutation is to mix up PVP for the new Ark. Making sure people are always ready with hazmats in every battle, if caught without one its death. Having more AOE especially one that is radiation would be different considering radiation In ark is only something you worry about while exploring aberation and only a small part of it at that.this brings that danger to all of ark. Gojirasaurus also helps early game players by giving them another option for a creatures to use as a exploration mount. Overall I just want a fun reference to old monster movies that also gives ark a new fun play style that also fits into the world. Also thank you all for reading! Also here are some links to information on Gojirasaurus. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gojirasaurus http://www.prehistoric-wildlife.com/species/g/gojirasaurus.html
  9. ESSEXELLA ASHERAE THE RADIOACTIVE TERROR APPEARANCE: Very similar to the Vampire Squids known in our world, the great differential of the squids that inhabit the aberration is in the fact that they float, and do not live in the water, besides of course, like the Gremlins, they have a rule: No Feed an Essexella Asherae radiation! WILD: Wild Essexella Asherae are normally peaceful, and live floating in the higher parts of the aberration. They feed on small insects they find, such as light beetles, but they have a problem: they are addicted to Reaper pheromones. They are unable to resist when a player uses a pheromone or when they encounter Reapers. The problem is: Reapers are in the radioactive part of the aberration, and the radiation has a powerful effect on the Ark's Essexella Asherae: It causes them to mutate, and transform into a giant creature, which is part of humanity's greatest nightmares : Cthulhu. In their Cthulhu form, the Essexella Asherae are slightly larger than the Reapers, and with overwhelming power, they are able to kill everything in their path, until they manage to satiate their uncontrollable appetite for pheromones. The entire body would look something like this: DOMESTICATED: Essexella Asherae have the same ability as other aberration animals: they can produce their own light, and, because they are small, they can cling to the players' shoulder, to protect them from threats that use darkness as a form of attack. Its charge meter is also used in its Cthulhu form, being the meter of the amount of blows that Essexella Asherae is able to deliver before returning to its normal form. DOMESTICATION: The taming of an Essexella Asherae is divided into 3 parts: attraction, combat and control. To tame an Essexella Asherae, the player needs to attract it to radiation, and have at least one powerful radiation-resistant creature. To do this, the player must consume pheromones from Reapers to attract their attention. Once it has their attention, the player must move to the radioactive part of the map, where a bar will then appear over Essexella Asherae's head. This bar counts the amount of radiation Essexella Asherae has accumulated, and when full, Essexella Asherae assumes its Cthulhu form, transforming into the most ferocious and devastating beast of all aberration. In Cthulhu form, Essexella Asherae completely loses control, and starts attacking everything around it, including the player. A full bar appears above her head, and it shrinks over time, indicating the amount of time left for her to return to her normal form. Another extremely important detail: in this form, the Essexella Asherae are only affected by creatures resistant to radiation. Otherwise, the creature doesn't deal damage to Essexella Asherae, and still takes passive radiation damage. At that moment, the player must mount the creature resistant to radiation (we indicate a Reaper), and start a fight with Essexella Asherae to enter the second part of the dome. Essexella Asherae will focus on the player while the pheromone effect is active, otherwise it will attack everything around it. Wild Reapers will spawn and engage in combat. The player needs to be very careful, because if Essexella Asherae kills a Reaper, the bar over its head fills up again, and its hp regenerates, which makes taming it very difficult. When Essexella Asherae's hp drops, she will grab the creature the player is mounted on, and will be immobile for some time. At this time, the player must dismount the creature and approach the Essexella Asherae's face, and feed it Reaper pheromone. When you do so, Essexella Asherae's hp will restore itself, as well as its time bar, and it will allow the player to ride it, and thus start the third part of taming. Once the player mounts the Essexella Asherae, it lets out a scream that attracts all Reapers around it, and the player must kill all those around it. The player must pay attention to the meter above Essexella Asherae's head, because if it goes to zero, it returns to its original form, and the tame is lost. This meter drops faster if the player uses a special move from Essexella Asherae, otherwise, it drops at the same speed as the battery charge of a normal aberration light animal. Thus, the player must kill all the Reapers around him until the taming meter fills up completely, and Essexella Asherae finally returns to its original, tamed form. It is important to emphasize that taming occurs in the radioactive part of the map, that is, it is important to be equipped to resist radiation. Another important detail: even after being tamed, in Cthulhu form, Essexella Asherae continues to emit radiation. Creatures that are not resistant to radiation and players that are not equipped with resistant armor take passive damage. SKILLS: In normal mode, Essexella Asherae, when in radiation, will passively generate radioactive element in your inventory. This element can be used to transform Essexella Asherae into Cthulhu on any map. 100 radioactive elements are required per transformation. Note: In radioactive areas, a tamed Essexella Asherae has no time limit to maintain its transformation. She can stay in this form for as long as the player wants. Only outside of the radiation will the radioactive element be needed and the transformation time is equivalent to the light charge it has. In Cthulhu mode, Essexella Asherae has 3 abilities: NORMAL ATTACK, which consists of a sequence of punches; LIGHT PUNCH, a punch that deals 4x more damage to creatures that take light damage (Reapers and unknowns etc.), and 2x more damage than a normal attack. A light punch consumes 10% of Essexella Asherae's total light charge. RADIOACTIVE LIGHT CANNON, a blow that combines radiation and light in a powerful shot that comes out of its mouth, causing enormous damage to everything in front of it, with a great range. This blow passes through targets, that is, if it hits a creature, it will pass through it and hit targets behind it up to the limit of its range. This move expends around 50% of Essexella Asherae's total light charge. Note: An Essexella Asherae, when its charge of light is depleted, will only be able to transform back into Cthulhu mode when its charge of energy reaches 100%. An Essexella Asherae has the ability to grab and hold any creature smaller than or equal to a giganotosaurus. The creature is immobile, unable to attack, while Essexella Asherae's energy charge drops 3x faster during this process. In this way, Essexella Asherae becomes the ideal companion for taming other animals, as it gives the player enough time to set a trap around the creature instead of luring it into one, as well as making it an excellent creature. for pvp, as it can make it impossible for an opponent to move.
  10. Height: 5.5 meters (data not historically corresponding). Length: 3.2 meters.. Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Neutral Doma: Pasive Wild: "In this Ark there are so many peculiarities, such as the chilesaurus, a creature as rare as it is fascinating, it has characteristics of many species that I have observed over time, at first glance it seems to be a creature with a carnivorous diet but due to its strange dental formation it is not It is surprising that it feeds on plants. It has a passionate taste for eggs, it will not hesitate to take them or even take care of them, the chilesaurus is a strong creature that is not afraid of larger animals than itself " Characteristics: This peculiar dinosaur which shares a family with various groups such as theropods, sauropodomorphs and ornithischians, with an increased size of 3 meters as it was 150 million years ago, to 5.5 meters in order to have a better efficiency within the game. It has robust legs, medium arms with two fingers with thick claws and a long somewhat feathered body, as well as a moderately fast speed, and a similar short beak-shaped head with irregular spatula-shaped teeth. Skills: The chilesaurus will be able to stomp with its strong legs to do area damage, and thanks to its peculiar teeth it will be able to make powerful bites (but it will not be able to Farm meat or skin), and thanks to its thin and long body it will be able to do a 180 turn. degrees depending on where you look and attack (not secured). You will be able to hatch up to 4 eggs on the mount, with increasing speed and a higher chance of having twins or triplets. In addition, having fertilized eggs on the mount will obtain a buffo with which it can greatly increase its speed and release pheromones that debilitate nearby creatures.. By exposing himself to radiation, he will not only improve the possibility of obtaining mutations in the eggs, but will also increase his resistance and attack since he does not like these areas very much. And it will have the ability to steal eggs, effectively with its long tail and it will be immune to radiation, but this could affect the eggs it is hatching. Doma: "Pasive" This dinosaur will not let itself sleep, what we have to do is ensure that it is affected by some poisonous red mushroom, causing it to pass over it or strengthening organic polymer which will make it enter a state of lucidity where we can feed it with (Aggeravic Mushroom) in order to gain their trust, all this while the dinosaur flees, and does procedural damage. Note: An apology for the bad English, I did this text with a translator, I hope to be able to do my own illustrations of the chilesaurus, but for now I'm leaving these from the internet. I can edit any aspect of the dino with suggestions, thank you very much for reading my creature, good luck to all the participants. An apology for changing the characteristics a lot, I was not aware of the ģigantoraptor and the abilities that I put were too similar, I did not do it with intentions of plagiarism because I did not know about them, so I am open to any change that you offer. 🙃
  11. Back with another - HEEEELP! HEELP MEEEEE Anyway funny ammonite Name - Crioceratites Lux Period - Early Cretaceous Diet - Carnivore Temperament - Neutral DOSSIER WILD Hidden within the bioluminescent chambers of the broken Ark, Crioceratities Lux, despite being a recognizable species from prehistoric times, has mutated and evolved to such a bizarre and extreme extent that it seems right at home with the many colossal monsters lining this Ark's deepest depths. Roughly around the size of the giant crabs it shares its habitat with, Crioceratites is uniquely adapted to both life in bioluminescent environments and life within water, but is also surprisingly capable on solid ground, able to filter oxygen and breathe, but not able to survive for long unless properly hydrated. What most immediately notice about Crioceratites is the large, spiral shell it houses its otherwise soft, squishy body in, large enough to house its entire body, tentacles included. The outside is lined with large protruding spikes, which can be used as both defense, and, surprisingly, allow Crioceratites to move when terrestrial, rolling around like a giant spiked wheel, although its speed is rather negligible when compared to the likes of the Roll Rat. This shell, as well as its true body, are lined with a unique bioluminescent chemical that allows them to produce charge, just like the Microluminus family. The ability to control and flash the lights allows them to intimidate would-be predators, and the charge scares away the otherwise fearsome Nameless. DOMESTICATED Taming Crioceratites is no easy task, but should one pull it off, you have yourself a handy mount for entering the depths of the broken Ark thanks to their tough, spiky shell and the ability to produce charge passively. They're rather lacking in pure offense, however, and instead are best used as a disruptive support mount to accompany your large powerhouses. Their tentacles, which are able to flash just as its shell can, are able to outright release powerful charge lasers akin to the charge lantern, stunning aggressors in their tracks or weakening the likes of Nameless and Reapers. When in a pinch, Crioceratites can retract into their shell and roll away, though, due to this unique habit of theirs, the saddle is uniquely placed to ensure lack of dizziness and safety while rolling, so you'll also have to deal with the sticky insides of their shell until you've stopped. MECHANICS Standing at a size rivaling the Karkinos, held aloft by large tentacles, the Crio is a colossal ammonite. Like the crab as well, it's a rather slow walker and sprinter, having poor stamina and struggling with steep terrain, but this is however made up for with its unique ability to curl up into its shell. When doing so, the Crio gains the ability to roll using said shell, allowing for improved movement speed using less stamina, but the Crio will both be unable to attack when curled up, and will struggle with sharp turns, instead having a large turn radius to make up for the increased speed. Though, smaller creatures will get trampled beneath the Crio's spiky shell if they're not careful. Like the Spino and Shadowmane, Crioceratites can gain the hydrated buff, lasting for 30 seconds outside of the water, and boosting their damage, speed, and regeneration. In the wild, they're passive unless approached, in which case they'll assault their aggressor with lashing tentacles and attempting to stun them with their use of charge. TAMING The taming method is simple, but complicated. One simply has to exhaust them of their charge, and in doing so, this will cause the Crio to curl up into its shell. When curled up, one must either shoot it with a charge lantern or throw Plant Species Z fruits at it, gaining its trust and taming it with the promise of constant charge. When tamed, they can use their natural supply of charge to light your way through the depths, as well as having a natural immunity to radiation. They're best used as a long-term adventuring mount, taken out for long treks in dangerous areas due to their high defensive capabilities and solid speed when curled up. When tamed and standing, if not in use for more than 5 minutes, they will retract into their shell as to preserve their moisture. When the ride prompt appears, they must exit their shell before the player can ride. However, it is best not to rely on the Crioceratites in a fight to the death, as while their damage is not negligible, compared to the many other beasts of Aberration, they lack the powerful offense to truly be considered a powerhouse, and instead are best used to repel attackers rather than kill or pursue. CONTROLS When riding a Crio, the rider sits atop their head rather than the shell, being taken inside said shell when tucked in to roll. Its walk speed is quite slow, comparable to the Karkinos, and its sprint speed is only somewhat decent, comparable to a tamed Rex. When rolling, it gains a significant speed boost at the cost of poor turning, comparable to a tamed Raptor, though it gains a speed boost on land when Hydrated. Its swimming speed is comparable to a tamed Basilosaurus. Like various creatures, the Crio will turn to face the direction of the player's camera, rather than remaining in one direction when the player looks to their side. Though, unlike other creatures, they can walk and sprint omnidirectionally, and this can be decently useful for warding off aggressors. This ability, however, is lost when swimming, instead having to turn when both moving and attacking like the Tusoteuthis. Left Click / Primary Attack A simple tentacle lash, using either of the two large tentacles not supporting itself. While not doing much damage, they possess solid knockback, and can be used to ward off attackers and allow for allies to follow-up. When facing forward or down, it will do a strong slam with both tentacles, which has stronger knockback than either left or right tentacle on their own. This can also be used while moving, in both a walk and a sprint. When in the water, the attack switches, causing the Crio to turn to face the target. The tentacle lash remains the same, having negligible damage, but gaining the ability to be used in succession while moving backwards. Right Click / Secondary Attack Using charge, right click will release a charge light from each of its tentacles, not unlike the charge lantern. When an enemy or wild creature enters the lights' vicinity, light will shoot out like a charge lantern, stunning the creature in its tracks for a couple of seconds, allowing the player to either attack, retreat, or recover. This cannot be used underwater. Instead, it is replaced with a large flash of light, which briefly stuns the target and gives the Crio a boost in speed, like the Tusoteuthis's ink spray. C / Tertiary Attack This will activate the Crio's charge passively, giving the same effects as a Lamprey or light pet without the use of either, and allowing the rider to venture into the Blue and Red Zones and ward off Nameless, as well as weakening Reapers. Space / Jump Using the jump input, the Crio will tuck itself, and its rider, into its shell. While inside of the shell, the rider becomes immune to damage, and the Crio gains both a 50% damage reduction, and a damage-reflect, causing any attack to partially harm the attacker, though neither of these apply to ranged attacks. Guns will pierce the Crio's shell without much effort, and elemental attack like a wyvern's breath are still just as effective. Though, when tucked into its shell, it also gains the ability to roll, gaining a significant boost in speed and the ability to trample small creatures and players, at the cost of poor turning. This does give the ability to gain momentum when rolling down an angle or slope, but will also cause the Crio to slow down when rolling up a slope. The Crio can also tuck into its shell underwater, though this makes it completely unable to move, running the risk of serious danger unless the aggressor is deterred from the shell's durability and spikes. UTILITY PVE In PVE, the Crio functions as a unique, all-terrain exploration mount with unique capabilities for solo players, as well as a premier support mount for tribes, working perfectly with a larger carnivore that is able to act as a proper combatant and target for wild creatures. Its ability to tuck into its shell and roll away is useful in just about any situation, though one should be mindful of its somewhat lackluster speed. Like the light pets, its ability to produce charge is invaluable in the deeper zones of Aberration, as is its immunity to radiation, though it does struggle with Seekers. PVP Most of its uses in PVE translate to PVP, acting as a valuable support mount from a distance, and being able to tank a serious amount of damage and run from fights it may end up struggling with. Its charge also makes it a more accessible and conventional option to deal with tamed Reaper Kings. WEAKNESSES While a worthwhile tame in many regards, the Crio is not without its fair share of downfalls. As mentioned, its ability to output damage is overall poor, the tentacle lash being good for knockback, but not doing much raw damage. Beyond its rolling, it's rather slow, easily outpaced by things both larger and smaller than it, and even when rolling, it's still unable to outrun the speedier creatures of the Arks, especially in regards to sharp turns. Even its attacking is comparatively rather slow, taking more time to execute a single slam than a Karkino's claw slam and for less damage. Like the Spino and Shadowmane, taking the Crio anywhere without water always puts them at a disadvantage due to its inability to acquire the Hydrated buff, and this is especially detrimental for the Crio due to its poor attack capabilities. Unless going for long voyages in hostile, but open areas, it's recommended to never bring a Crio anywhere on their own, and always have some kind of a stronger creature as a bodyguard, while they can attack as a support and a disruptor for the enemy. Lastly, unless tucked in, the Crio's tentacles and head lack any damage resistance, and the player is completely vulnerable when outside of the shell, and comparatively rather easy to see than some other saddles, making the rider an easy target for other players with ranged weapons.
  12. Dossier: Cretophengodes azari Description: The Cretophengodes azari, also known as the Ancient Firefly, is an ancient relative of the modern-day firefly. It is considerably smaller than most tamed creatures in Ark: Survival Evolved, and its unique ability lies in its swarm behavior. Behavior: The Cretophengodes azari exhibits swarm behavior, which means they prefer to be tamed and kept in groups rather than individually. They possess the innate ability to ward off Nameless and other creatures that dwell in darkness. Habitat: These ancient fireflies can be found in various regions of the game, particularly in darker areas such as caves or underground tunnels. Taming: To tame the Cretophengodes azari, you must consume a rare mushroom. Once consumed, approach the small swarm of fireflies, and they will begin to follow you. They will request to be fed rare mushrooms, which you can provide by placing them in your last inventory slot and feeding them when the notification appears. Once tamed, you have two options: you can command the swarm of Cretophengodes azari to follow you, or you can collect them in a glass jar for easy transportation. Special Abilities: When kept in a glass jar, the Cretophengodes azari emits a brighter light due to their concentrated presence. In swarm form, if you consume a rare mushroom, they will fly around you and land on your body, leaving behind glow dust. This glow dust can be collected and used to create luminescent dyes. When applied to weapons or armor, these luminescent dyes reduce the damage taken from creatures that fear light. Uses: The Cretophengodes azari provides a unique resource in the form of glow dust, which can be used to create luminescent dyes. These dyes can enhance your weapons and armor, reducing damage from light-fearing creatures. Additionally, the swarm of fireflies can serve as a light source in dark areas, improving visibility and deterring hostile creatures. Weaknesses: While the Cretophengodes azari possesses valuable abilities, they are relatively fragile and can be easily harmed by aggressive creatures. They rely on their swarm behavior and luminescence to protect themselves, so caution should be exercised when using them in combat. Additional Notes: The Cretophengodes azari offers a unique taming experience, as players must interact with a swarm of fireflies rather than an individual creature. Their ability to produce glow dust and create luminescent dyes adds a creative element to customization in the game.
