TL:DR; Massive amounts of pillaring / gate fences / mega bases near every spawn on 90% of servers with a heartbeat(active players), completely discouraging new players from making a home on servers that are barely alive to begin with. So I recently started Ark, and ngl, it was ROUGH. Thought about quitting many times in the last week since I started but decided to just power through in an attempt to see the full potential of this game. People obviously play it, A LOT. I was sure there was a good reason and wanted to discover it for myself. Well I'm more or less there now. Started on a beginner PvE server and things were ok. Not great, but ok enough to keep me engaged and entertained. Love the taming aspect of the game. Encountered some butt-hat claiming the ENTIRE beach near our humble little base on the lower right hand side of the map. Reported him, he seems to have poofed but his buildings still there sadly(banned/suspended?) bit I digress... I recently discovered that beginner servers are routinely wiped every now and again. To keep things "true" to the beginner experience. I get it. Kind of a downer that we have to move elsewhere but I was happy to read about transferring characters and ready to travel to a more permanent home on Ark. I began the arduous task of searching for a new The Island Ark to call home... First server: Massive bases at almost every spawn or within spitting distance of said spawns. Toxic amounts of pillaring along all shore lines/spawns. Oh well, on to the next. Second server: Massive bases at almost every spawn...ok. Third Server: Toxic amounts of pillaring along all shore lines.... *sigh* Fourth server: Massive bases/gates/pillaring at almost every spawn... Fifth Server: ............................................................................ Sixth server: 2 people online... Some very minor pillaring... But will probably try to make it work because I refuse to let these kinds of people run me off a game I was starting to enjoy. I feel like asking why people do this, but I already know the answer. Because they can and because WildCard lets it happen and continue to happen. In other games, if you spam land claims like this, they(admins/devs) jump on the server within a week or so of a report, see the evidence and immediately delete ALL of the offending clan's structures. All of them. Everywhere on the map. They then hand out a 2 week suspension or for more egregious/repeat offenders: Perma-bans on ALL official servers. So as per my tag on this post: Why is this a thing?

Wildcard lets talk about this. The current raid meta on smalltribes is just not fun for anybody. At the moment the main way raiding goes is "Try to cage the people your raiding". Now on official servers, this method of raiding is effective to the raiders while at the same time not entirely detrimental to the defenders. On small tribes however, where it is 6v6 with no alliances allowed, It can just take the fun out of PVP and the entire game away from a tribe. With so many ways to knock out players now the caging meta has gone out of control. From Noglins and Tek Bows to Narc Grenades to Mantis with clubs, it has just become too easy to knock out a whole 6 man tribe. I know that there is no real way to fully stop caging on small tribes, unless it gets made illegal to cage in small tribes, but there are some solutions to the many problems that there are. If a Noglin is on a player when they get knocked out, the Noglin should instant kills the player. This would make it harder for raiders to control you and walk you right up to them to get tranq for caging. Disable the Mantis from holding clubs or change it so the clubs apply no torpor damage while held by a Mantis. With the melee Mantis have now + Capped Clubs they can 1 tap a player out cold even if they got the best armor on. Up the damage to players on tranq shot from Tek Bows and/or take away the stun effect or make it so a player can walk while stunned. Currently all it takes is one hit and a player can be stun locked without being killed till they pass out . Have is so if a player is knocked out they cant be force fed med brews and force feeding them narcotics, using Narc Grenades or any method of raising torpor takes away big amounts of health. With this it makes it so you can still cage a player for some time, but cant hold them for hours while you raid there base freely. While it cant be fully stopped, caging should not be a guaranteed raid on a tribe that has spent hours on this game building up to where they are because a players antidote ran out, a lucky shot from a Tek Bow hits them, or while trying to push raiders back they get hit by mantis. Wildcard, I beg you to look into this matter and try to find a solution that will make Raid PVP fun once again. Edit: Raising the time your under the effects of an Antidote or adding a consumable that makes you immune to torpor gain would also assist in fixing this toxic raid meta. Edit2: A Kill Player console command would also be another way to slow down caging. It don't have to be an instant death, but maybe after typing the command it starts a 20-30 minute timer that kills the player when it ends.

I've been really into basilisks for a while and do lots of other breeding with voidwrms Rex's and other dinos and think it would be great to be able to add basilisk breeding to the game for people like me who want to give their collection more basilisk color and stat combos

Rock Drakes take fall damage when exiting climb mode. They whelp and yes, their health does go down. Try yourself, climb around on rocks, trees, cliffs when the ground is literally right underneath you, exit climb mode and you receive damage. Might not happen straight away, but it happens very often while i travel. Ive taken damage 3 times from this and lost 900ish HP in total. Please fix.

Limit the amount of space a player can build on PvE
dmuhlber posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
I am sure a million of people have already stated this and I apologize if I am only one of a million. There really needs to be change with the pillar spamming, I always regret playing ark due to this. I honestly love Ark, I have played it since it was first released on PC. I now have it on Xbox One and I have never been so disappointed in the developers. I am a programmer and I am proud of it. This could be a simple fix, but it isnt fixed. From day one ark was released trolls spammed structures preventing new players from enjoying servers. Why is this still a thing years later? Do they not have the finance to hire better programmers? How many DLCs until the players give up on PVE entirely and Wild Card loses a handful of loyal Ark players such as myself? I would be just as happy if they at least made it possible to report those who spam from the game entirely, something, just do something. Gen2 DLC is also trash, clean your servers Wild Card. -
So, it seems to me that Wildcard is just going to ignore the fact that they have thousands of PAYING customers they've left hanging on a Gen 2 map that is so broken, half-finished, and 100% favorable to PC players. I have a Xbox One X. Just a few things: - Literally over 100 server crashes since launch on my official pve server. More than 50 rollbacks. And those are just when I've been on the game. I do sleep too. - Slide and Glide starts 10 seconds into the race. Either add 10 seconds to the total time, or, here's an idea, add more time to the race prep countdown so that EVERYONE can actually load into the race. - Downriver run has the same problem, and additionally, when the server eventually lags during the race (of course it always does. Thanks, Nitrado!) it rubber bands and does not always restore the time. - Star Dolphin has the same rubber band or lag issue...time does not get restored each time. This mission never starts before loading in, so maybe use the same logic in the other races. - Circuit Chase slows the Enforcer down in first person view when climbing. Why? Wildcard, you have thousands of unanswered/unresolved/ignored tickets, you made us wait half a year from the original release window, you make us restart and wait in the queue for your servers to restart, YOU CHARGE US FOR THIS, and then you announce a new map on top of all of that? How about you try optimizing for consoles, work with your dedicated community to address KNOWN and REPORTED issues, polish the turd you've given us in Gen2, and THEN move on to a new map? Is it too much to ask to get our money's worth, or are you okay with a large part of your customer base to lose what little faith it has left in your management and dev teams? If this garbage persists, why buy what will likely be an unpolished turd of Ark 2, just so you can come out with a broken Ark 3 two months later? You guys suck.
