  1. Introducing Shunosaurus, The armored sauropod Tags: Mid game, endgame, great weight carrying tame, utility tame, mobile forge, custom art DISCLAIMER: PLEASE read through the entire submission before voting for this creature, since there may be mechanics and features you might miss if you vote on design alone. I also encourage you to do this for every other submission you see as well, so you can make a truly educated vote for what you would actually like to see in the game. A huge thanks to Martian and riskybiscuits for letting me Adopt this armored fella, this amazing art is by riskybiscuits! Common Name: Shunosaurus Species: Shunosaurus jiangyiensis Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Passive Wild: “Shunosaurus is a smaller species of Sauropod often found wandering on this apocalypstic earth in small herds they are quite different from most sauropod species due to their shorter necks however to make up for this they have gained a remarkable new adaptation a large bony club at the end of its tail very similar to what the ankylosaurs have. This tail club is incredibly dense and is able to shatter next to anything from stone, metal and the bones of hostile creatures. In spite of its deadly weapon though the shunosaurus is quite passive and will most often ignore other creatures as it cares for its small herd and munches on plantlife. ” Domesticated: “In order to tame a shunosaurus a survivor must gain it’s trust which is incredibly difficult to do as the shunosaurus pretty much only trusts members of it’s herd the best way I find to get it to trust you is to save it’s life, I once saved a shunosaurus being attacked by a group of defense units and it quickly bonded to me as a result. Once tamed the shunosaurus becomes one of the best creatures around for mining as its large build allows it to carry an insane amount of weight and it’s tail club is incredibly effective at harvesting raw materials. Not to mention it can use a special platform saddle that comes with a built in Industrial forge allowing you to quickly smelt any metal gathered. The shunosaurus also makes for an incredibly powerful defensive mount thanks to it’s incredibly strong tail it can block and parry attacks even being able to send some flying back like a baseball bat hitting a ball.” Introduction: Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the armored sauropod; the shunosaurus! The foundational ideas and selling points for this ___ include: Role as a great weight carrying tame Tanky creature Herd buff New status effect Forge saddle Utility tame Mid - endgame Habitat -Anywhere in the sunken forest biome -Anywhere in the sanctuary city Tamed and General things (Tail whip attack) -Tail whip attack, the attack has massive range due to the long tail of the Shunosaurus and has a chance to inflict a new status effect. (Head attack) -Can swing it’s head to be used as a second blunt force weapon. (Bone break) -Can cause a new status effect bone break this causes the effected creature to be briefly stunned and then move incredibly slowly for a short period of time. (Tail grab) -Can grab and throw creatures using it's tail by wrapping it around them similar to how the mammoth can pick up creatures with it's trunk largest creatures it can pick up are Carnos and Chalicos. (Gathering) -Can collect resources with it's tail whip attack. (Herd buff) -has a new buff similar to the pack buffs of the direwolves and allos this will be called the herd buff and causes the damage resistance of the Shunosauruses to increase and gives them a damage buff and movement speed increase. (Platform saddle) -has a Platform saddle but this one comes with a Forge built in so any metal collected can instantly be smelted. -Can damage stone structures with its tail attack. -Saddle can melt down items back to their base components such as flak gear back to metal, hide etc. (Armor) -Has Bony plates and osteoderms on its back giving it extra damage resistance from behind. (Element) -Can crush element ore and convert it into element dust. (Block) -Can block and parry attacks using it’s tail bouncing back projectile attacks such as rockets, boulders, magmasaur fireballs etc and countering melee attacks however this attack has a cooldown period to prevent spamming. (Weight reduction) -Has a massive weight reduction of 90% on raw materials such as metal, Stone, wood etc. (Tail slam) -An attack, where the shunosaurus slams it's tail which causes more damage depending on the opponent's size. -Can cause damage to opponents when stomping over them. -Saddle learned at level 50 Platform/forge saddle level 64 (Items it can gather) -Resources: Metal, scrap metal, element, element ore, element dust, element shard, and Obsidian. Utility & Scenarios: PvE:The Shunosaurus would be perfect carrying resources across this desolate wasteland, fighting off any unwanted corrupted opponents. The shunosaurus can convert element ore into element dust, and element dust into element. A forge saddle can be used to smelt metal. PvP: The Shunosaurus would be very useful in pvp, such as the things I said in the pve scenario,it would be a great combat mount breaking opponents bones with its tail, and blocking attacks. Wild: The shunosaurus will be in herds of 6 wandering in the sunken forest or city, fighting any predators that preyed on them, but are docile to survivors unless attacked. Taming Process: In order to tame the shunosaurus you must gain it’s trust by saving it from being attacked when you approach it you can feed it veggie cakes the shuno will then take a liking to you and start to follow you however hordes of enemies will begin to arrive and will start to attack the shuno kill all of the attacking creatures and the shuno will be tamed and the more health it has by the end of the horde attack the higher the taming effectiveness will be. Conclusion: That about wraps up the shunosaurus, it would be a useful resource carrying mount, Great battle mount, and a mobile forge. huge thanks to Martian and riskybiscuits for letting me Adopt this armored fella, this amazing art is by riskybiscuits! Have fun, survivors!
  2. So this is my concept for the Ark center community vote. This is Gastornis, a hefty avian brute from the late palaeocene era. These large birds exhibit elements of Macaw & waterfowl in appearance. Although considered strict herbivores these fumbling feathered fiends come with a mean streak when it comes to territory. They are renowned sound gurus in which the possess a powerful inner voice. This ain’t no ordinary game of Duck-Duck-Goose. Prisoner to the call Through vigorous evolution influenced by aggressive competition against rivals the Gastornis developed a highly sophisticated syrinx exclusive amongst this species. As a vocal species the Gastornis gained an entrancing broadcast call in hopes to gain the attention of prime females, however this call does affect the behaviour of other creatures as well as humans. The call of Gastornis inflicts Survivors with a new status debuff known as Mania. Mania temporarily immobilises Survivors from gathering, attacking & using the hot bar. In this effect the bird locks the afflicted Survivors to perform random emotes so long as it remains calling. Against tames the call will temporarily lock the creature in a level up animation loop. This attack can be blocked with earplugs as protection, applied as a cosmetic to a Survivors helmet Sleepy snacking The Gastornis is the only creature known to have the proclivity to willingly consume & gutload itself with Narcoberries for sustenance, making it virtually immune to tranquillisers, narcotics & bludgeoning. Sequestering the sleep inducing effects of the Narcoberry coating it a viscous saliva the Gastornis can lob projectiles at its target with an additional splash damage. This will immediately raise the torpor of almost any target without damaging it. As a tame Narcoberries or Narcotics are used as ammunition indicated as a gauge Dream eating nightmare Uniquely the Gastornis possesses a song that only attacks targets that have been knocked unconscious. A popular theory to how this works is that the bird uses its syrinx to produce infrasound, damaging & rupturing targets internally but as of yet still unproven & a mystery. This attack is known as the Song of Nightmares where it inflicts a new status debuff known as Traumatised. Traumatised freezes the target in place while draining health. This Status effect is a stacked ailment of the fear or terror status but it is uniquely applied when the Gastornis sings around sleeping individuals. The only known cure is the courage roar of the Yutyrannus, the War bellow of the Mammoth or interrupted by an allied Survivor by attacking them. Taming Due to its immunity to Narcotics the option for a knock out taming for the Gastornis is futile, instead the bird is tamed through a non violent method. By feeding the bird beer the moment it performs its manic song will cause the bird to become intoxicated. If done so repeatedly the Gastornis will become groggy making it easier to feed it Narcoberries or Narcotics.
  3. Introducing the Skunk! This curious and playful creature can be found running about the redwoods and jungles of the Center landscape digging up items, teasing the local wildlife, and ferrying its kits amongst the dangers of the unforgiving landscape. Don't worry if you see one running up to you, as it probably wants to play, that is, unless you see its tail straight up in which case, you may want to hightail it out of there yourself! Wild The Orretherium Mortifaeris, or more commonly known as, the Skunk, is a curious addition to this tropical landscape. While most of the creatures here seem eager to end your existence, this playful creature seems to enjoy a survivors company. They even seem to play games with the survivor. In fact, playing these games with a mother skunk may lead to her letting a survivor care for one of her offspring. Be careful not to get too rowdy though, or these walking stink bombs will give you a surprise that'll have you all choked up. It seems like these skunks really enjoy teasing the local wildlife. I've seen them tinkering with beehives, and even beaver dams, without so much as a scratch from the inhabitants... well... most of the time. Domesticated These skunks seem extraordinarily adept at tinkering with natural structures to harvest their resources, but they also are great at messing about with human made structures! I once saw a survivor use one of these clever creatures to help organize resources around their base. I've also seen these skunks stockpile the things they find in their tinkering. It looks like they can bury objects using a weird slurry of clay and thatch to save little caches for future use. Now, these fluffy weasels seem all cute and innocent, but they really put modern skunks to shame when it comes to their scent. They have an innate ability to control their gas spray ranging from a large local cloud, short projectile-like bursts, or even a combination scatter bomb! Phew, sounds unlucky for any unsuspecting prey! Fortunately, tamed skunks seem to protect their rider from any... friendly fire. Conceptual Ideas: The Orretherium Mortifaeris is meant to serve as both a utility creature and offensive support tame. It can launch a variety of poisonous projectiles that can knock you and your tame out, as well as, help organize your base. This creature should be incredibly useful, if not a necessity, on both PvE and PvP servers. Here are some of the proposed ideas for this stinky boi. General Aesthetics and Utility: The skunks tail goes up in an offensive mode, and goes down for it's passive utility mode (this is meant to free up space with the controls, as well as, serve as a cooldown between the various PvP to PvE utilities) Preferred food is mushrooms, although it is fully omnivorous once tamed Can be seen messing with Beaver dams, tinkering with beehives, or following Roll Rats (if it spawns on a map that has them) to give more life to a mostly passive creature Has decent weight, and similar weight reductions to an Argentavis to provide a land based creature with versatile maneuverability. In the wild, female skunks can be seen running around with one to three babies following close behind PvP Utility: Three different poisonous attacks that utilize torpor inducing items as ammo (Ammo types can include narcoberries, narcotics, bio toxin, and maybe even nameless venom. The quality of the resource can determine how much is needed to perform an attack). A large localized cloud that envelopes the player and immediate surroundings A smaller projectile that can lock on and stick to enemies from a large range A medium sized projectile that creates a cloud wherever it hits at a medium range These attacks can knockout both players and tames They also do percent durability to armor Players are not completely immune to skunk poison using TEK Helmets, Gas Masks, or Hazard Suit Hats, but are dealt reduced torpor Can unbury enemy creatures (assuming you know where it's at) Potentially chokes enemies out similar to the gas veins on Aberration, but for a shorter duration Can deposit crafted item caches that act similar to a buried Purlovia, but decay at a quicker rate, and have a cost (I originally suggested clay and thatch, but I understand clay is not present on The Center, so that may just be hide and mushrooms or something) Has a standard swipe/bite attack Riding a skunk protects the player from gas attacks PvE Utility: Can be set to target a friendly structure and deposit items from its inventory to similar structures within a certain radius (I'm thinking of this as more of an expanded ammo box meets S+ transfer tool, with the ability to set the skunk to a structure such as a generator. The player can then fill the skunk with gasoline, and an icon will pop up above nearby generators that show the quantity of fuel, and will also automatically deposit gasoline to the specified fill limit. Should work with TEK structures too.) Some examples of this may look like: Being able to harvest your own beehives and deposit the honey directly into industrial cooker/s or fridge/s Dumping a newly acquired kit directly into a specific loadout mannequin Loading your skunk up with a bunch of different resources and depositing them into their appropriate dedicated storage in one go Transferring your flak helmets from your crafting area to a named vault in your war room Can loot honey from beehives, resources from Beaver dams, or Roll Rat resources (if it gets added to a map with Roll Rats) with a simple mini-game similar to a quick Stryder hacking. Passive taming/claiming method in which you deposit a preferred food/mushroom into it's wild caches after initiating taming with a pet on a mother skunk. After gaining enough affinity the mother will allow you to adopt one of it's babies (Since ASA is supposed to have wild babies, this may be a neat way to introduce a unique way to get a creature that isn't too grindy or overly complex, whilst highlighting the new wild babies mechanic) Can be used to manually dig up loot that can be found in earthquake rubble without needing an earthquake present if on Aberration The skunk can also gather the unearthed resources when set to wander Vote for a creature that has new utility! Vote for the Skunk!
  4. Introducing the Skunk! This curious and playful creature can be found running about the depths of Aberration digging up items, teasing the local wildlife, and ferrying its kits amongst the dangers of the unforgiving landscape. Don't worry if you see one running up to you, as it probably wants to play, that is, unless you see its tail straight up in which case, you may want to hightail it out of there yourself! Wild The Orretherium Mortifaeris, or more commonly known as, the Skunk, is a curious addition to this aberrant landscape. In the wild, female skunks can be seen running around with one to three babies following close behind PvP Utility: Three different poisonous attacks that utilize torpor inducing items as ammo (Ammo types can include narcoberries, narcotics, bio toxin, and maybe even nameless venom. 5. Anqingosaurus Brevicephalus was one of the oldest known chameleons. While I did take liberties from other creatures(such as Drepanosaurus, and Jackson's Chameleon) I really liked the named Anqingosaurus(my assumed pronunciation is “An-king-go-saurus") Anqingosaurus will be the 5th shoulder-pet on Aberration however, it will not function like the other 4 as it will not be a glow-pet. It will have bioluminescence, but will function more like the aberrant variant creatures. If it wins it will also be the only shoulder-pet that has won a creature vote(I'm not including Sinomacrops since it technically got disqualified) The purpose of the Anqingo is to essentially turn you into spider-man but also has some extra perks, including increasing mutation percentages! I'm aware that the bloodstalker exists. However, I always felt that, while it was fun, I wanted to be able to be on the ground while utilizing a tech like this, I wanted it to feel more personal. It will work as the creature variant of the Grappling Hook, Whip, HL-NA, as well as being an upgraded ghillie suit/personal rock drake(which will act as a slight parasaur counter). However, while I do want it to stand out I do not want it to overshadow some of these items. It is also going to be an endgame creature so utilizing the grappling hook and whip early-mid game would still be somewhat essential. Location: Anqingo would spawn in the Bioluminescent Region, more specifically the Luminous Marshlands. You will find it on trees. It will be a rare spawn and very hard to find due to its camouflage. Taming: It is a passive tame and you need to approach it slowly with a rock drake, shadowmane, desmodus, or have another anqingo. After approaching the creature while invisible, it will notice you and a slight mini game will start, during this process it will change to one of 3 colors. Green, Blue, and Red. When it turns to one of these 3 colors you will need to hop off your mount and approach it slowly to give it one of the 3 gems, respective to the color it turns. Once tamed you can pick it up and it will cling to your arm. While clinged to you it will embed the hook on the end of its tail into your neck. This will link your nervous system to the Anqingo, much like a Bloodstalker. Controls : (Note: the Anqingo will function as a "weapon", meaning when swapped to an item you will not be able to utilize the Anqingos abilities) R/Square/X: cycles through the "modes" of the Anqingo. Indicated by the Anqingo changing to 1 of the 3 colors. Left Ctrl/R1/RB: Melee. Using the 3 horns of the Anqingo you will stab a target, causing a minor bleed effect. (Note: This can be done with any mode) Green(Camouflage/Stat reader mode): M1/R2/RT: Stat reader. This will work just like HL-NA. M2/L2/LT: Camouflage While you are not moving - you will be invisible, this will function like a rock drake, not a shadowmane, you will still have a silhouette. During this effect you are immune to "tracking" abilities, such as the parasaurs alarm mode(note: you can still be spotted by the scan, you are only immune to the passive) While moving - you are no longer invisible but it will reduce the aggro range of other creatures, similar to a ghillie suit(effects do not stack). Blue(movement mode): M1/R2/RT: The Anqingo will grab onto a surface you are looking at with its tongue. Using movement while latched will swing you in that direction, similar to bloodstalker. (While latched)Holding M1/R2/RT: Will rapidly send you towards that surface. (Note: it has a farther reach than grappling hooks, but a shorter reach than bloodstalkers) (While latched)Space/X/A or X/R3/RS: Unlatches (While latched)M2/L2/LT: unreels M2/L2/LT: Aims Red(Attack mode): M1/R2/RT: this will act as a whip, grabbing items, unbounding bolas, causing flyers to drop you. M2/L2/LT: this will grab smaller creatures and hold them in place(does not work on survivors). Once a creature is grabbed you can reel them in or out with a primary/secondary button respectively. If you use this on titanomyrma, meganeura, or insect swarms it will automatically reel them in and eat them. These same bugs will also be highlighted. Lastly, if you approach a creature and hold Left Ctrl/Square/X: you can attach the Anqingo to this creature. This will double the mutation chances of that creature's offspring. Thank you for your consideration. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anqingosaurus https://animalia.bio/anqingosaurus-brevicephalus (Drepanosaurus) (Jackson’s Chameleon)
  6. Say Hello To Naja Romani aka the Glowbra! What is Naja Romani? Naja Romani is an extinct species of Cobra which lived during the Miocene of Europe. Why is the Glowbra suited for Aberration? Glowbra will be a large shoulder pet dedicated for utility using the resources from Aberration, it would have a whole host of abilities from scaring away larger predators to being a flash bang just in case if you are stuck in a sticky situation! I decided to go with glowing features and such during the design as Aberration is all about the weird and unique. Naja Romani Dossier Wild: Naja Romani, a serpent adapted for the vast cave system known as Aberration. I’ve spotted Naja show interesting behaviour by using its chromatophores in its adapted to scales to produce an alluring display of flashing lights, once the prey is within striking distance, Naja quickly turns around to blind the prey. Like Modern day Butterflies, Naja has a set of eyes on the back of its hood which it uses to fool would be predators, but if the predator strays to close, Naja can turn around in an instant to blind the predator so it can hastily escape and get to safety. Tamed: Survivors have been using Naja to help with various activities and items. Whether it be helping to carry gems or to help tame other creatures with its unique blinding ability. Naja is a must for any tribe as it has a habit of collecting eggs as it its their own clutch. How to tame the Glowbra? Naja has adapted a taste for other glowpets, whilst near Naja throw your shoulder mounted glowpet, don't worry your Glowpet will not be killed unless you mess up, as Naja approaches your Glowpet start sneaking up behind it, it's hoods eyes will be red before taming, you cannot feed it at this point, allow Naja to start munching your Glowpet, as this happens it's eyes will turn green which means you can feed it mutton or kibble, Naja will then release you Glowpet but be careful as soon as your Glowpet falls unconscious, Naja will consume it and you will lose taming efficiency, so be sure to bring more than one Glowpet. Abilities Glowbra uses the resources introduced into Aberration to give it unique abilities based on each one, the harder to get gems give the better abilities. You can use your hot wheel to access Glowbras inventory or to select which spit to use, as well as the normal glowing function. With the addition of a threatening display to scare off any large predators for a brief time. Naja can use its full charge or whatever is left to produce a flash bang effect similar to that of the monster from Monster Hunter World, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku. Green Gems being the easiest to get allows your Glowbra to spit at enemies using your crosshair as a reference, this will give a blinding slowing effect similar to a Dilophosaurus. This also changes your Glowbras glow into a green colour. Blue Gems being the second hardest to get will be very handy at helping you tame creatures, aim at the desired target and it will spit at it, which will give torpor to the desired target. Torpor is based on the Glowbras melee stat. This also changes your Glowbra into a blue glow. Red being the hardest to get, lets your Glowbra spit a necrotic venom which deals damage over time to the target (around 5%) and also slows them. This changes your Glowbra into a red glow. Extra After collecting Drake feathers, you can make an Aztec styled feathered serpent deity armour for your Glowbra, you can find blueprints for this. More information on Naja Romani can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naja_romani
  7. ^All Art is done by Lapis Lazuli and Dossier is edited by Mihael Common Name :Majungasaurus Species : Majungasaurus absconditus Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : Carnivorous Temperament :Opportunistic WILD: Majungasaurus absconditus is quite the interesting theropod. While most of the creatures of the ark look different to their real life counterparts, majungasaurus seems to have evolved to fit into a new niche in the arks ecosystem. It seems to have adapted many traits from modern day chameleons including the ability to change their skin color to camouflage into their surroundings. Many survivors often talk about how they feel like there's something always watching them just from the treeline out of sight and from my studies I believe that majungasaurus may be the culprit. They seem to have a higher intelligence than most creatures on the ark and are very curious by nature. Domesticated: A tamed majungasaurus however is a scientist's best friend. These creatures can be used to sneak up on and study even the most dangerous of animals and can even help find certain desired traits in wild creatures. And for those who would rather venture out on their own, some survivors have figured out how to modify their armor with the shedded scales of majungasaurus to give them limited camouflage. Taming: To tame a majungasaurus you must gain its trust by crafting structures and other trinkets to appease its curiosity. The higher quality item the less taming effectiveness is lost. Taming 2: To tame a majungasaurus you must gain its trust by feeding into its cannibalistic tendencies. You must kill and bring other majungasaurus to the target majunga Stat Reading: While camouflaged on a majunga you are able to sneak up on unsuspecting creatures. If you're able to get close enough your majunga will be able to act like a primitive HLNA from the genesis maps and read out the base stats of said creature. Camouflage Armor: As the majunga sheds its skin, survivors will be able to gather leftover scales and apply it to their armor to gain the majungas ability to camouflage. However unlike majunga survivors will only be able to camouflage while standing completely still. Combat: The majunga isn't really much of a fighter so it only has a basic bite attack that does around the same damage as a carno. Size: The Majunga would be around the size of Megalosaurus ingame which would allow it to be a new caving creature since we haven't gotten anything capable of caving in a long time. Suggestions from Replies: Getting a buff when eating another Majunga Eat other tamed Majungas when it gets low on hunger Main Attack does bonus damage if used while invisible (brings majunga out of invisibility)
  8. From the brilliant mind behind the Rhyniognatha, Zichfried, here comes... CRYODRAKON The largest flyer ever discovered. Ragnarok, an awesome viking-themed map where a lot of us started our adventure and fell in love with the game. As a very special place, I think it deserves a very special creature! DOSSIER Dossier transcription, in case you want to translate it: WILD Your first encounter with this creature is like witnessing a giant plane for the first time when you are a child. Simply breathtaking. The Northern Lights trace left by the Cryodrakon while flying also makes a magical vibe, like a norse deity passing by. You don’t want to enter its territory. That’d unleash its rage. Believe it or not, it can carry literally any creature with its beak or its talons, even other flyiers. That’s how huge and strong this bird is. The largest I’ve ever seen. DOMESTICATED These literal planes are your best friends when it comes down to carry and gather resources. Their insane strenght allows them to ignore the weight of anything you put in their inventory and its platform. They also ignore the weight of any creatures they carry around, and anything those creatures have in its own inventory. Despite their size, they are surprinsgly as fast as a Wyvern. As crazy as it sounds, Cryodrakon also has a set of devastating ice abilities! From freezing enemies around to death to protecting all nearby allies from any kind of weather. If you bring a Snowl Owl it can expand and speed up its healing ability. It can also buff your nearby Managarmrs and Ice Wyverns! ABILITIES As the largest flyer discovered in the world and as a creature that lived in frozen zones, I think it brings a lot to play around so set the skills it could have. I also had in mind the Ragnarok map and some interactions with other creatures already in the game. Also, I know it wasn't that big in real life, though let's take some freedom to make it epic! Weight Nullification Cryodrakon doesn't have a Weight Stat as it ignores the weight of anything in its inventory, but It's still limited to 300 inventory slots. It also ignores the weight of any creature, player or structure it carries or it has in its back or platform. This makes it perfect for farming, specially with a Rhyniognatha carrying vaults and creatures around. This makes it a good and non-temporary alternative for the Desert Titan, with less life and damage than a Titan, though. Ultimate Carrier It can carry any creature, including flyers, Alphas and Tek Skiffs (these ones would get turned off when carried). It doesn't matter the drag weight or size. This could exclude, bosses, Titanousaurs, Death Worms, Astrocetus and aquatic creatures. Also, Cryodrakon is the only creature with a platform where other creatures with platforms can be on. While on the ground, it can carry creatures with its huge beak. While flying, it would carry them with its huge talons. If flying, it can attack any creature it grabbed with its beack, inflicting serious damage. Managarms and Rhyniognathas are the only exceptions it can't carry. Ice Powers I know this is reaching a fantasy design, though we already have real world creatures with elemental powers in the game such as the Amargasaurus and Liopleurodon. Not to mention fantasy creatures as Wyverns, Managarms, Snow Owls and the Ice Titan. I think it's okay to give Cryodrakon some ice abilities that also fit the creature and the map! These would be two area abilities that can be activated both while on the ground or while flying. The first one freezes all enemies around a certain area as long as you keep the abilitie active, similar to a Snow Owl. This requires energy. While frozen, enemies take a great amount of damage because of the low temperature. Wild Cryodrakons tend to use this one to trap their preys before grabbing them and eating them. The second one passively protects all allied players in a big area from weather and temperature. This includes both ice and heat. This works even near to Magmasaurs, lava and inside metal structures in desert biomes and maps, such as Ragnarok and Scorched Earth. Cryodrakon also has passive buffs for nearby ice-related creatures such as Managarms and Ice Wyverns. They get a damage buff, incoming damage reduction, and their range of ice attacks is increased. Ice Wyvern breath also can finally freeze enemies. Amargasaurus can only use ice spikes, but they explode and reload pretty faster. Ice Golems get even more damage reduction. The cherry of the cake is the passive buff for nearby Snow Owls. Their healing skill greatly increases its range and speed in order to heal large groups, faster. Cryodrakon can move while frozen. As it could be expected, nearby fire-related creatures such as Fire Wyverns, Phoenixes and Magmasaurs get more incoming damage than normal and their own damage is decreased. This would also apply to every cold-blooded creature in the game such as reptiles, though I don't know if it's possible to add a whole system or a new creature temperature property in order to make it work. Natural Fridge Eggs can't incubate with a nearby Cryodrakon but their health doesn't decrease. Ice Wyvern and Cryodrakon eggs are the exception for this. Spoil timers for items in its inventory and its rider's inventory are multiplied x200. This works even with items that can't be put in a fridge. In the case of Organic Polymer, Cryodakon's inventory slowly turns it into Frozen Organic Polymer, which never spoils and can be stored in a Tek Dedicated Storage. It freezes water from Canteens and similar items like a fridge. Cryopods timers in its inventory and its rider's inventory simply stop. Penguin's Nightmare It's also a great organic polymer farmer, and Kairukus are (lore-wise) its favorite food. Northern Lights Not properly a set of abilities, but visual effects. Cryodrakon has an animated norhtern lights pattern in its wings, and it leaves a literal northern lights trace while flying. I think seeing this magnificent creature passing with that effect would fit the viking/nordic theme from Ragnarok in a beautiful way. In adition, it could splash snow and ice particles when taking off and when landing, leaving the zone as if it was snowing for a few seconds. If possible, it can visually freeze water if it flies close enough to it (though it will dismount you if you touch water.) Stats In order to make it worth it, its speed is 75% the speed of a Wyvern. It can inflict serious amounts of damage with its meelee attacks and its freezing ability. As huge as this creature is, its health pool would also be very large. As mentioned before, it doesn't have a weight stat. BEHAVIOUR Taming Taming a Cryodrakon is not an easy task and it requires to domain the sky and its creatures. Wild ones are always flying at insanely high heights, so they must be tamed in the air. This will require for you to bring your best flyer creatures as an offering in a dangerous passive taming. You must be cautious as it will get angry if you get close, though you must do it. It will ask for different air (and bird-themed) creatures you must bring to it. The Cryodrakon will grabb them and then it will attack it until it kills it to eat it. The tamming effectiveness and progress will depend entirely in the level, being any wild max level or above breed creature the best option. It can grab them even if you are mounted on them, though it's recommended to dismount them before offering them. Some of the creatures it will ask for are: - Wyvern (Fire, Ice, Poison, Lightning) - Quetzal - Lymantria - Tapejara - Argentavis - Kairuku - Pelagornis - Ichthyornis - Hesperornis - Pteranodon - Griffin - Onyc - Mantis - Vulture - Archaeopteryx - Dimorphodon It would most likely ask for rideable creatures and Kairukus. Once the taming process has started, there must be at least one player in the air close to the Cryodrakon or the taming progress and effectiveness will drop to 0. This can be achieved by mounting aerial creatures, with a Tek Chesplate, shoulder creatures such as Archaeopteryx or Sinomacrops, Parachutes, Glider Suit Skins, and any method that keeps you in the air the whole process. It doesn't matter if a player returns to the ground as long as there is at least a player from their same tribe still in the air, so it could be a good idea to tame this mighty beast with a friend that can bring the required creature. For map reasons, it wouldn't ask for creatures nor present in Ragnarok, or at least creatures not present in ARK: Survival Ascended a its time of release. Once more maps are released, it could ask for them. For the mental health of every player of this game, it won't ask for Phoenixes or Rhyniognathas and it won't ask for the same creature twice. Once you fulfilled the required list of creatures, it will allow you and your tribe to mount get on its back (not mounting it, just to be on its back). This place will be insanely cold. Even much worse than the Murder Murder Snow biome from Ragnarok itself. If you survive a determined amount of time without dying because of the cold, it will respect you and the Cryodrakon will be yours. You can recur to Fur Armor, an Otter, Soups, etc. in order to achieve this. Breeding Cryodrakon can be bred, though it will require a set of conditions. The first one is to be in an extremely cold place, such as the Murder Murder Snow biome from Ragnarok. Once there, both Cryodrakons must be frozen while mating. This can be achieved with Snow Owls, Managarms, Amargasaurus and Ice Wyverns (the former one, can freeze thanks to the Cryodrakon's passive buff). As most of these creatures are from maps not yet available on ARK: Survival Ascended, Ice Wyvern seems to be the only option, giving them a new good reason to tame them! Cryodrakon eggs can only be incubated with a nearby Cryodrakon. Egg Incubators, Air Conditioners and temperature creatures such as Otters and Dimetrodons couldn't be cold enough. Saddle I know most saddles from the game are most primitive-themed, specially the most reent ones. Though we have some tech saddles such as those seen with the Tapejara, Andrewsuchus, Magmasaur and even the Snow Owl. So I think in order to make you the king of the sky with a plane-sized bird, you must make it with style. This is why I thought about a saddle inspired by a B-2 Spirit Bomber. This would be similar to a Tapejara Saddle, and it would require a largue amount of Gasoline in order to work. It would increase the Cryodrakon's speed to transport resources or to fight. It would be as fast as a Wyvern thanks to the pair of jet engines attached to it. To fulfill the B-2 Spirit Bomber theme, the saddle would allow the ice ability to be aimed at a long range. This means you could freeze enemies in the zone you aim instead of around you while the saddle is equiped. This would mean your Cryodrakon turns into an ice bomber! The effect would apply even if the enemies are inside a wall, forcing them to move if they don't want to die beause of the ice. It would algo be cool to add a pair of machine guns on each wing of the saddle, which obviously need ammo. It would have the damage a Heavy Turret has. It also has a platform to allow Vaults to be built on the Cryodrakon, making farming easier along with a Rhyniognatha. Even if the Cryodrakon is much larger than a Quetzal, the platform would be around the same size of the Quetzal's one and it could only allow storage structures to be built on it. Though I know the weapons and the jet engines couldn't make it into the game, I hope the B-2 Spirit Bomber saddle and the ranged ice bombing skill make it into the game! D; FINAL THOUGHTS And this is my submission for the new community voting, I hope you liked it! I tried to get the perfect creature to fit in this awesome and epic map. I also loved the interaction it could have with ice creatures and the recently added Rhyniognatha! If you liked it, please vote up! And if you have some idea or suggestion, don't doubt in comment it! This next section was my original idea but I moved it to the bottom and added Zichfrie's idea because It was way cooler then mine Cryodrakon Boreas The Cold Dragon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryodrakon This gigantic predatory bird circling high above is a terrifying sight for even the mightiest of predators. While similar to Quetzalcoatlus it is fundamentally different as while Quetzalcoatlus is typically used for transportation, Cryodrakon is meant for combat. In appearance Cryodrakon is not too dissimilar to Quetzal it is roughly the same size although appears much taller due to its poster (Size not Final). Cryodrakon displays heavy sexual dimorphism in its coloration. In the wild Males display bright patches of blues and reds on their crests and neck. While females are less colorful and lack the head crest of the males With its more robust and heavier build Cryodrakon is capable of delivering heavy attacks by leverging its weight. Its long beak is especially dangerous and it could pierce through thick hides and even cause fatal injuries. While its wings and legs are less impressive the beak and overall weight would make up for the general lack of offensive weaponry. Cryodrakon is protected by a thick coat of fur like pycnofibres, effectively reducing the damage Cryodrakon takes from direct attacks, However that is not Cryodrakon’s only defense. Due to their cold environment their blood has special adaptations. When a creature takes a bite out of Cryodrakon its blood will start to slow down that creature, to the point of near freezing. Cryodrakon’s blood also makes it immune to bleeding and gash wounds Cryodrakon would have 2 different ways of attacking, on the ground and in the air. The ground mode is simple, While on the ground Cryodrakon walks on all 4 with its arms and legs close together, allowing it to turn very easily on ground. Cryodrakon uses its beak to pierce and cause bleeding, and perhaps other debuffs (say hitting it in the eye blinds the creature) (Ore repeated stabs could build up a freeze meter). Its bite would be an effective weapon against smaller creatures as Cryodrakon could swallow small creatures whole, perhaps gaining a buff. In the air Cryodrakon can toggle a hovering mode (button press) that keeps it at a determined altitude just high enough so most creatures would be completely unable to hit it. (say a rex couldn’t but a bronto or giga could) In its hovering mode the Cryodrakon can still move normally (forward and also side to side) albeit slower. In this mode the camera changes to almost 1st person and the rider would then be able to control exactly where the Cryodrakon attacks with its beak. (Figure 2) and finally Cryodrakon’s most fatal attack, Cryodrakon flies straight towards and lands directly on a creature, pinning it to the ground. This attack would have two variations, the “Utility version ” where the Cryodrakon is not moving or is moving slow, in which case the attack wouldn’t do very much damage, or none at all. And its stronger version used while sprinting in air, this would do very significant damage, in relation to the size of the creature or its health and taking off a big chunk. Both of these would then pin the creature to the ground unable to get up and the Cryodrakon could repeatedly stab the creature with its beak. Alternatively, Dismounting while a creature is pinned, the Cryodrakon will remain on top of the creature and not attack, effectively rendering that creature unable to move or attack, allowing you an easy tame (Figure 1) In terms of speed Cryodrakon is not the fastest, falling slightly behind a wyvern but still fast enough to not be a complete drag to get from one point in the map to another. Cryodrakon would also be unable to carry any creature due to its more offensive build. (please mind my lack of art skills) (Figure 1) (Figure 2)
  9. Australopiticus Tribuarius (Art by Xyphias for reference) Lets see how things go here this time. My idea for the australo is, as the title says, act as a surrogate tribemate, being able to do several things a player can such as craft items in smithies, use primitive tools and weapons, harvest resources, transport items to different inventories, and. These ancestors of ours could help craft and gather resources on command while off doing something else, put food in troughs or metal in forges, and so on. Australopiticus would have a crafting skill stat much like players and the gacha and the higher that stat is, the more items they can craft and use and more proficiency is added to items they make. The limit would be tek and modern items. They would spawn in early game places and moderately dangerous areas. Taming the australo would be done passively by earning its respect. When approaching a troop, one must show submission via crouching to its leader to be allowed near, then must earn the rest of the troops' respect through feeding, grooming, giving gifts like flowers, flint, or even tools, or protecting them from harm if need be. Once all is done, the troop will happily join your tribe. This respect with still be required while tamed, needing to be cared for every once in a while to keep their happy and work efforts up or you'll run the risk of them abandoning your tribe. My reason for its inclusion is to add a form of automation to game, assisting tribes large and small and solo players for various time-consuming tasks and as a means of testing for how npcs could work in Ark Ascended and 2.
  10. In case the frozen pools of Ragnarok didn’t already have enough reasons to be avoided as is, these strange Antarctic amphibians can now be encountered lurking below the surface. Dangerous ambush predators, Koolasuchus hunts by squirting streams of freezing water at their targets, slowing them, and inflicting hypothermia in survivors before retreating to their icy dens, content to wait until their prey succumbs to the environment. When tamed these large amphibians can be harnessed to cool their rider, protecting them from high temperatures while chilling enemies to the bone.
  11. Note: This creature was previously listed under the name of its currently living relative draco volans, which is so much easier to say. But the rules state it has to be a real but extinct creature. So here you are. Coelurosauravus elivensis looks like a tiny winged glowtail, about 8" in size. It is a warming shield that makes you invisible to wild dinos. This little carnivore spawns where sulfur is found, and is passively tamed with cactus sap or (less effectively) sulfur or raw meat; similar to the way sinomacrops are tamed. Once tamed, pick up Coelurosauravus elivensis and it goes into your inventory shield slot (so you can also have a shoulder pet). Visually, it holds onto your shield arm, wrapping its little arms and legs around your arm and resting its head on the back of your hand. (It peeks at you when you raise your arm to look at your implant.) Primarily, this tiny wyvern acts like a full ghillie suit + cactus broth + bug repellent + invisibility ala rock drake, shadowmane, or pachyrhino. It makes you completely undetectable to all dinos, unless you touch or hit them. Pegos will ignore you; sea gulls can't see you anymore. Monkeys won't spook. Cave adventures are a walk in the park, as long as you watch your step! Secondly, if you put sulfur in the "elf dragon's" inventory, it will start to glow and be able to breathe fire. The glow provides a source of light similar to a light pet. The internal fire creates a passive source of warmth equal to a campfire. It can also defend you, burning any attackers who hit you. It is breedable, usually laying 2-4 eggs with one breeding. In summary, the Coelurosauravus elivensis is a Bob's best friend. It's a living torch/invisibility shield that uses the inventory shield slot (keeping the hand and shoulder free). Note: The real Coelurosauravus elivensis were only a few inches long and could only glide, rather than fly. pic from https://www.popsci.com/science/first-flying-reptiles-dragons/

  13. Vishnuictis Species: Vishnuictis gracilis Time: Pliocene - Pleistocene Diet: Carni/Omnivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: Commonly found on plains of Ragnarok, Vishnuictis is large carnivore/omnivore that is mainly nocturnal. Probably for the purpose of avoiding large theropods. Also lots of animals seem to be repelled by its strong scent. After all my observations, I think it is some kind of large civet. It's all fluffy and cute, but be alert - don't get too close, cause it tends to be aggressive towards survivors. I thought I could scare it with fire, similar to some other mammal predators, but it didn't seem bothered, more like it was interested in my torch. And even let me pet his back! Domesticated: Some northern Tribes of Ragnarok say that Vishnuictis was born for war. They use armored saddles to ride them into battles. Other survivors found its very good, keen smell useful when finding strong animals. I even drank a beverage from (and now don't be disgusted) the berries from its feces. It was not very tasty, but I felt filled with energy afterwards, like I could run for miles and not be tired. Maybe it has something to do with its good endurance on long distance travels, where it really shines, in my opinion. Abilities: Bite/Claw attack (L click/R click) Scent dispersion - Vishnuictis will start to leave a trail of scent behind him. The scent will hover there for some time and will repel wild or other tribes' creatures away from your location. (on C) Sniffing - Vishnuictis sniff the air, and mark high level creatures for you (on X) “Coffee brew” - If you feed Vishnuictis tintoberry, it will produce a unique kind of feces you can then use to craft a special brew (in a crock pot or cooker ) that will give you a small speed boost buff. Taming method: As the dossier description suggests, you need to approach Vishnuictis with a source of fire, during night. It would come closer to you and let you pet it. Then you can feed it specific items because it is a very picky eater (similar to Moschops). Treats suggestions: honey, beer, wyvern milk, citronal or veggie cake After that, you can equip it with an armored or light, more stealthy saddle. Armored saddle would give you and your Vishnuictis better protection, whereas the Light saddle would act like a ghillie.
  14. Image from dinopidia Common name : Hexaprotodon species: Hexaprotodon sivalensis Time : Pliocene Diet : Herbivore Temperament : Territorial Wild : In the wild the Hexaprotodon can be found near river and desert and rarely in a swamp area. You will normally find during the day near water and during the night the Hexaprotodon likes to travel so when your out about at night beware you don't get to close to this creature. Hexaprotodon normally always travel in pack of three.Becarefull to not get too close to it's jaws that won't let go. Domesticated: The Hexaprotodon is a big creature being around the same size of a trike , it has a very high weight stat to help you move around and also has a lot of health. One of it's abilties is being a live net gun when tamed , while riding the Hexaprotodon you can grab anything to the size of an Allosaur like the normal net projectile , It can hold a creature in its jaws for up to 1 minutes and the rider can use weapons on the back but can also get of while it holds in it jaw. Taming : To tame a Hexaprotodon You must attract it to you by using cactus sap and once it gets close to you and open it mouth press the button to feed it the cactuse sap. Taking :The Hexaprotodon with it's high health stat and plus with armor from it's saddle can be used to tank turrets . Travelling: With it's high weight the Hexaprotodon is good for carrying lots of loot from place to place and plus with it's water storage ability it can give you water if you need some during your trip. It is also and excelent swimmer . Combat: The Hexaprotodon has a normal bite and also has a crunch where it opens it mouth to get a big bite in that leaves a status affect bleed that causes the target to loose health after the bite for a certain amount of time.
  15. Introducing Madtsoia! Initially, I wanted to suggest another creature, but it did not fit into the theme of the map in any way. Having decided to somehow connect this with the theme of the map, I remembered Jormungand and thought about adding a large snake, the choice fell on Madzoya. I tried to do it in an unusual and interesting way, fitting into the balance. I hope you like it. I don't know how to draw, so I won't be able to provide a dossier and a drawing of a snake. Only the description of the appearance and the text of the dossier itself. Sorry if there are mistakes in the text, I don't know English so well. Dossier: Common Name: Madtsoia Species: Madtsoia Simpson Time: Eocene Diet: Carnivorе Temperament: Aggressive Wild These snakes are hiding in the Ark jungle. They are excellent hunters, both day and night. Madtsoia are wary of animals that are much larger than them in size or pose a serious threat. They are found in small groups of 2-3 individuals, but single individuals are not uncommon. Few managed to survive a collision with them. Madtsoia waits for the victim in an ambush, after which he makes a swift attack. If the prey is still alive, he grabs it and begins to strangle it. The creatures can break out, but that's all the snake is waiting for. Her skin secretes a poison with soothing properties that will not allow them to escape far. The fangs of the Madtsoia contain a unique venom that softens the tissues, which makes their bites more deadly. They are also immune to tranquilizers. Domesticated I've seen tribes use a group of 3 snakes while attacking other tribes, often throwing them into battle with other creatures. They were not the main attacking force, they helped in the attack of another domesticated animal. I also noticed that the survivors use arrows smeared with poison. The use of Madtsoia to tame wild creatures has also been noticed. Madtsoia is an amazing snake when it comes to offspring. They can be called viviparous, although in fact this is a common delay in laying eggs. The egg is preserved and develops in the mother's body, as a result of which a small snake is born. Appearance: In fact, Madtsoia looks like something similar to a python or a boa, but the game already has a Titanoboa, so it needs some kind of external feature. I think the resemblance to a atheris could beautify it. Unlike the real Madtsoia, in the game it will be longer than Titanoboa. Gameplay: Let's look at the features of Madtsoia in more detail. I must say right away that a lot of things were invented by me, and a real animal could not have this. For example, this snake actually has no venom. I made it so that it would become much more interesting and useful. As indicated in the dossier, arrows and darts with tranquilizers have no effect on Madtsoia. To tame her, you need to use other animals. By feeding her a certain number of parasaurs or rexes, you can gain her trust. Madtsoia herself eats any meat, even rotten. A saddle on Matzoya would be a mid-game or late- game, but there is no need for it. You can use the snake functionality without it. Abilities: Lmb: Bite. A standard bite attack from a medium distance. Rmb: Swift attack. A long attack, but very powerful. During this, the snake curls up and prepares to strike. The harder you hold the button, the more powerful the attack is, but if you hit Madzoya when she is preparing for it, the attack will be reset. C : Thermal imager. The same as a Snow Owl. Ctrl: Grab. This attack is very similar to a swift attack. The snake also collapses when the key is pressed, but after releasing it, the snake will jump forward. The harder you hold down the key, the further the jump will be. If there is not too big or too small creatures in the way of Madtsoia, she will throw off the rider and grab the victim, otherwise she will simply attack. Utility and features: As I said above, the Madtsoia will be useful without a saddle. This is a big live bolas. He can link creatures slightly larger than Rex and those who are smaller. If you order her to attack with a whistle, she will grab the target, thereby making it easier for you to kill or tame another creature. In addition to immobilizing the target, Madtsoia, thanks to the sedative that her skin secretes, will help you put to sleep and save the number of spent darts or arrows. Madtsoia brings a new effect to the game. Let's call it "Softening". This effect increases the damage done and can accumulate. Each bite has a 40% chance of dealing it and increases damage by 10%. For example, your creature has dealt 600 units of damage, and under the effect of "Softening" it will deal 660 units of damage. With repeated application, the percentage of increase will increase by 10%. That is, if you apply the Softening Effect twice, the damage will increase by 20%. Maximum damage can increase by 50%. Each bite of Madtsoia has a chance to impose an effect. This effect does not increase the damage from bleeding, fire and other effects. Madtsoi have a herd effect and the main reason you have three snakes is to improve the "Softening" effect. The head of the pack will impose a "Strong Softening" effect. When applying a "Strong softening", it is impossible to apply the usual one. "Strong softening" works the same as usual, but the effect is superimposed with a 60% chance, and the damage can be maximized by 100%, that is, doubled. The dossier said about arrows with the same effect, but how to get them? Everything is very simple, you will need to approach the tamed snake and select "Collect poison" in the circular menu. It is impossible to collect Madtsoia poison from the dead. Arrows are made in a pocket when using a stone arrow and poison, and tranquilizer dart on a smithy when using ordinary darts and Madtsoia poison. Arrows impose a "Softening" effect with a 100% chance, but for a much shorter period of time. The food in Madtsoia's inventory spoils faster. Madtsoia has infrared vision, which can facilitate night walks. Also a nice addition to the snake is its ability to detect an alpha creature. If an alpha creature appears within a certain radius of it, then Madtsoia will emit a prolonged hiss. The closer the alpha creature gets, the louder the hissing. Another useful skill of Madtsoia is that she can become a living incubator for the eggs of your rexes and other egg-laying creatures. They can also carry Wyvern and Drake eggs. A snake can incubate only one egg, but they will not need certain conditions. In order for the snake to incubate the egg, it must be put in an additional inventory cell. I assume that you need to make a separate cell, approximately where the cells for skins and sedelas are. Conclusion: I hope you guys enjoyed this concept! I know that there are already snakes in the Ark, but why not diversify the game world with another and useful one. I will be glad of your comments and edits. If you liked my ideas, then I don't mind that at the next vote someone will suggest Madtsoia, because I'm thinking of suggesting different creatures for each vote.
  16. Hello fellow ark players! The creature i have concocted is in essence a normal scorpion except REALLY BIG. Now you may say to yourself hey we already have one of these in the game, it's just a really big Pulmonoscorpius. But it isn't, first off its huge like rex size but with a lot more legs. Next its got an interesting movement pattern. Third it has both new reproduction, and a taming method. Finally it has a unique saddle system! The Opsieobuthus has tough natural armor and more! The movement pattern of the Opsieo is rather odd and new. The Opsieo spawns anywhere on the map except its very rare like giga rare. Once it spawns it wanders around the map at night until daylight at which point it locks into a standard creature movement pattern patrolling an area about 1/8 kilometers wide until nightfall. At night the Opsieo can travel surprisingly far distances in one night such as across a mountain range or across a desert. The Opsieo is also capable of climbing all but the steepest slopes across an ark. The taming method of the Opsieobuthus is complicated. It's a two part tame, the first part being a stealth passive tame, and the second being to follow it on its wanderings. To accomplish the first part you feed it like in the Araeno taming process but instead of normal items you need to kill chitinous creatures and bring the bodies to it, it will then eat the corpse and gain points into a meter once full it will become passive in regard to the player. To complete the tame you need to wait until night comes at which point the Opsieo will begin to roam across the ark you must follow it until daybreak at which point it will able to be fed a wild chitinous creature that is at least level 100. The reproductive and early life aspects of the Opsieobuthus are unique. For starters the Opsieo give live birth to 4-5 offspring at the same time. Once born baby to juvenile Opsieos will cling to the abdomen or follow the mother. The food in the mothers inventory will be fed automatically to the babies. The juvenile Opsieos will stay in a zone designated by the player around the mother. As mentioned earlier the saddle for the Opsieo is a little bit unusual. It's a platform saddle that shares characteristics with the Mek modules. The platform saddle is two foundations long and one wide. There are three customizable modules for the Opsieo saddle. OPSIEO.SEIGE.MODULE. Is a pvp/pve module, in pvp it can be used for destroying enemy bases, and in pve as a specialized taming module for the incapacitation of the Titanosaur and Rock golem. OPSIEO.CARRYING.MODULE. Is an all server module for carrying anything bigger than a raptor or smaller than a Stego. OPSIEO.TRANQ.MODULE. Is basically a harpoon gun that takes harpoons from the Opsieos inventory and turns then into tranq-harpoons with 5x more torpor than standard tranq-harpoons. I will be happy to answer any questions that may arise about the Opsieobuthus.
  17. Name: Melanorosaurus Time: Triassic Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile The melanorosaurus is an early Triassic sauropodomorph that can hold and create its own water. The creature would naturally graze on cacti in the center of the Scorched desert. When tamed, this creature would store water in its large hump as it consumes cactus, used later for consumption. it could be tamed by feeding it a unique item crafted from cactus and sap, two materials any player can get on Scorched. The usefulness of this dinosaur would be comparable to a morellatops, with the gathering of water and berries. This dinosaur would be a wonderful way to travel around as it would allow near-infinite water and wouldn't need to stop at water veins or the river like the morellatops. Wild: This creature would utilize Ark SA's new foliage mechanics to automatically consume and harvest cactus. The more cactus it eats, the more taming effectiveness the player would gain. Once enough cactus is consumed, the player can feed it a "Sticky Salsa" made from cactus and sap from Joshua trees. Ability: As this creature eats cactus sap, it will generate water. The conversion would be around 10 sap per 1 water. This would allow for survivors to travel away from the center of the map and not be limited by the water veins scattered about. You could gather a large amount of sap and travel to areas such as the dunes or mountains and not need to worry about gathering water in canteens.
  18. Common Name: Tarbosaurus Species: Tarbosaurus bataar Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Tarbosaurus bataar is a slightly smaller version of the T. Rex, and usually has brighter coloring than one. They usually hunt in pairs and are very territorial. When they spot something entering their territory, they usually attempt to intimidate it before attacking. These creatures have impeccable senses of smell, allowing them to smell prey from very large distances, so don’t think you’re safe just hiding behind a rock. Taming Taming this creature is very difficult as it can sniff you out even in a full ghillie suit. The only way to safely approach this creature is to let it know that you are not a threat. Slowly walk over to the creature with a low posture without any weapons whatsoever. If you do have a weapon, they will smell it and perceive you as a threat. Once you do get close enough, then you must feed it either deathworm horns or a special food like wyvern milk or nameless venom. Domesticated When domesticated, Tarbosaurus bataar becomes very useful for its owner is that is mainly thanks to one thing: it’s sense of smell. Tarbosaurus’ sense of smell allows it to detect anything in it’s vicinity, meaning traversing the dunes can be much safer as the Tarbosaurus can smell Deathworms, allowing survivors to avoid them. It’s sense of smell is so good, it can even smell how powerful something is, allowing it to assess a threat better than any other creature in the desert. It also has a mighty roar that is able to scare off smaller nuisances, but not as well as a Yutyrannus. Abilities - Normal bite attack, a little bit weaker than a rex - A stomp attack that can weakly damage stone and does knock back - Smell ability that allows it to smell creatures in a wide radius and can allow player to see the creature’s stats when close enough and can also be used to see the stats of eggs which can be useful when getting wyvern eggs (around the distance you need to be to see info on something with a spyglass) - Roar that is similar to a Yutyrannus roar that can scare things off as large as a carno, but doesn’t last as long as a yuty roar Wiki Page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarbosaurus
  19. [Passive Abilities.] Water Collection: While around a body of water or well, the Bennu Heron is able to soak its feathers with water (The capacity of such can be increased via the oxygen stat). The Bennu uses this water for two purposes, such as... - Stayin' Cool: The Bennu grants both itself and its rider a buff that grants resistance to the fire debuff and moderate hyperthermal insulation. A second, more potent version of this buff with greater insulating effects and complete damage negation from any fire-based attack is applied during heatwaves, but drains the water supply at a faster. - Clay Maker: Any sand placed in a Bennu's inventory will be slowly crafted into clay, the water being used as an alternative to cactus sap. A flock of Bennu can serve as a superior method of clay production than the mortar, giving survivors something better to work with in the time before they acquire a chem bench. *This ability is a reference to the fact that the mythological Bennu played a part in the creation of the world in Egyptian mythos. Sand Guard: During sandstorms, a tamed and unmounted Bennu will form an umbrella with its wings in a similar manner to a fishing Black Heron. Taking shelter beneath a Bennu's wings will grant a survivor with the same buff a tent would. Phoenix Detector: Bennus possess the ability to detect the presence of a Phoenix, be it in their dormant ashen state or while active during a heatwave, making the process of finding these legendary firebirds significantly easier. *This Ability is meant to reference the association between the mythological Bennu and Phoenix, as the Egyptian legend of the former is believed to have inspired the Greek legend of the latter. Aerial Acrobatics: Though lacking in strengh or durability, Bennu make up for this with agility. Able to both dive and barrel roll, a skilled Bennu pilot can easily evade most threats. However, to go airborne they require either a running start or to launch themselves off a ledge. [Attacks.] Left click: - On ground, a precise, low-damage beak stab/bite that deals heavily increased damage to fish and can grab objects, such as dropped item caches and eggs. - In air, a talon strike much like the owl or argent. Low damage but fast attack rate. Right Click: - On ground, a precise kick that deals heavy knock-back and stun to small animals. - In air, a heavy wingflap that unleashes a gust of wind with an AoE knock-back, not unlike that of the Tropeo. Special/C Button: - On ground, the Bennu stretches its wings and does a water dance, removing all gathered water from its feathers but granting nearby allies the "Keepin' Cool" buff and watering crop plots. If held, it instead simply emotes, stretching its wings and letting out a honking call. - In air, essentially the same except instead of an AoE the shaken water is dropped directly below the Bennu's flight path in a similar manner to a crop duster plane. Better for if you want to drop the water directly onto crop plots. [Taming.] Possible Taming Method 1: Similar to Carch, one must provide the Bennu with corpses of small animals (Preferably fish) to gain its trust. Once it trusts you enough, you can either hand-feed it directly or provide it with precious materials like ingots, crystal and obsidian to earn its favor. Possible Taming Method 2 (And the one I prefer): One must approach a Bennu in its pond to initiate the tame in a similar manner to an Amarga. Once the tame has begun, the Bennu will find a good spot and assume a fishing stance. While in this stance, you must provide the Bennu with fishing bait (Sap, leech blood, honey) to lure in fish. - Fish lured in by higher quality bait will lure in more effective fish for taming progress. - Loss of taming affinity is prevented by ensuring the Bennu does not go without access to bait for prolonged period of time.
