  1. Hello everyone I introduce to you the magnificent Shringasaurus! Now a quick disclaimer, this is NOT a Carnivore, it is a Herbivore. At first impression it looks like a cross between a Carnotaurus and a Megalania, but the Shringasaurus is actually a herbivore that feeds on the various flora in its habitat. The Shringasaurus lived during the Middle Triassic period, between 247 and 242 million years ago in what is now India. The Shringasaurus is not a dinosaur, it is an extinct genus of the archosauromorph reptiles, and unlike most reptiles, the Shringasaurus was a Warm Blooded organism meaning it was more hyper and active than the more inactive Cold Blooded organisms. The Shringasaurus could generate its own body temperature instead of relying on the environment to regulate body temperature. Dossier Text Wild: At first, most survivors would easily mistake this fearsome creature for a carnivore, for its resemblance to both the Carnotaurus and Megalania. But in my experience, the Shringasaurus will not give you trouble unless you enter near its territory. I have observed that these beasts are often found near each other in groups, likely as a strategy in the case of larger predator attacks. I have also come to find that the Shringasaurus are sexually dimorphic, with the males possessing larger horns for use in fighting other males to attract a mate. The females posses smaller horns, but are still just as deadly in a fight. Domesticated: The way these creatures are tamed is quite a danger but is well worth the risk for tribes looking for a powerful and agile mount. The Shringasaurus seems to be immune to all forms of narcotics, in fact they seem to like to eat narcotic potent flora. One would need to approach a male with crystalized sap and offer it to the creature. The Shringasaurus would then recognize the survivor and then proceed to attempt to impale them. A prepared survivor would then run away from the Shringasaurus upon a fast mount, you would then need to lead it into trees or rocks while it lunges at you. The impact from these objects will eventually knockout the Shringasaurus where it will then allow you to feed it. To tame a female is different, they seem to be more observant of other creatures and will not fall for tricks. You will have needed to tame a male Shringasaurus and to approach a female and offer it the sap. Once the female has acknowledged you, you will need to mount your Shringasaurus and challenge a nearby wild male at a horn fight. The female will remain docile and watch you in your fight. If successful, the female will become impressed and allow you to tame it passively, all other wild Shringasaurus nearby will become docile to your tribe for a while seeing your Shringasaurus as dominant and not to be messed with. The Shringasaurus makes an excellent travel mount due to its high speed and agility as well as its high capability in combat. The Shringasaurus is able to scale cliffs, swim in the ocean, and run at high speeds with excellent turning. Additional Notes: Survivors like to use the Shringasaurus to produce narcotics and other healing pastes, as with its special immune system and enzymes. The Shringasaurus likes to feed on Narcoberries, Tintoberries, and various other Narcotics. The properties of these berries mix with the Shringasaurus special enzymes after digestion creating a paste identical to narcotics and a paste similar to The Rockwell Recipes Medical Brew though not as effective, and useable by other herbivores. This can be useful while you are out if you need to gather certain healing or taming supplies in a pinch. Information Behavior: The Shringasaurus is a territorial creature that travels in groups with other Shringasaurus, they are sexually dimorphic which mean the males have larger horns and the females have smaller horns. They are docile in nature but turn aggressive when humans get too close for too long. Male Shringasaurus are aggressive to any survivors who get close and will continue to chase them. Female Shringasaurus are not aggressive and choose to observe for danger, if provoked or you attack another Shringasaurus, they will turn aggressive. In real life there are certain creatures that produce toxins by stealing it from other poisonous creatures or plants. Jellyfish have their nematocysts harvested by these creatures and reused as toxins. The Shringasaurus also shares this case, it is able to use other venoms or toxins from the animals it kills. It harvests the narcotic or healing properties from certain flora and augments it with its enzymes. It is able to enhance or reuse venom/toxins. They seem to reside in The Sunken Forest. They feed on berries and like to eat Narcotics or Narcoberries. Their favorite food is Red Crystalized Sap, they seem to be able to produce venoms depending on the crystalized sap they eat. Taming: To tame a male Shringasaurus, you will need a fast mount or a mount that is able to avoid getting hit by the Shringsaurus Dash attack. You will then need to put Crystalized Sap in your last item bar and run up to a Male Shringasaurus and press E to feed it. You will have 5 seconds to stand near the Shringasaurus before it becomes aggressive, make sure to feed it during those 5 seconds. After it has eaten the Crystalized Sap, it will then acknowledge you and start to attack you with Dash attacks. To knock it out, you will need to make it dash into trees or rocks to inflict torpor on it, it is essential that you have a mount that can outmaneuver it or dodge out of the way when it does its dash attack. Such a good tame would be the Gallimimus to outrun it or the Beelzebufoo to jump out of the way. Trees do less torpor than rocks. Once you have knocked out the Shringasaurus, you can then feed it Narcotics or Crystalized Sap to tame it. To tame a female you will need to have already tamed a male Shringasaurus, you will need to approach a Female Shringasaurus which will probably be keeping an eye on you. Feed it Crystalized Sap and it will initiate a taming bar. There must be a nearby wild male Shringasaurus to initiate the taming bar. Once you have fed the female you will need to mount your Shringasaurus and a single Male Shringasaurus will challenge you. Both males with be locked in a horn wrestling fight where you will need to complete a minigame to win the fight. This will involve either pressing keys or clicking left or right fast enough. If you lose the fight, all the Shringasaurus will attack you, if you win the fight, the female will allow you to passive tame her with Narcotics or Crystalized Sap. All other nearby wild males will become docile to you for a long period of time after you win the fight. Link to Image: https://www.deviantart.com/kepyle2055/art/Shringasaurus-847510106 Abilities: The Shringasaurus has various attack abilities and passive abilities. It is able to produce Narcotics from having Narcoberries in its inventory, it produces 1 Narcotic per 5 Narcoberries though not as time efficient as crafting Narcotics. It can produce a new item called a Healing Paste that can be used as a less effective but easy to acquire alternative medical brew. It can be consumed to regain health faster or force fed to other herbivores to regain health similar to how meat can be force fed to carnivores to heal faster. It is still inferior to Medical Brews. It is produced by having Tintoberries in its inventory, producing 1 healing paste per 5 Tintoberries. The Shringasaurus can produce a Shock Venom which is produced from having Blue Crystalized Sap in its inventory, it produces 1 Shock Venom per Blue Crystalized Sap. Lastly the Shringasaurus can produce a Red Venom which is produced from having Red Crystalized Sap in its inventory, it produces 1 Red Venom per Red Crystalized Sap. The Shringasaurus is able to toggle a venom in combat depending if it has any in its inventory, it can use narcotics from its inventory to deal torpor with its bite attack, it can use Shock Venom to deal a short stun attack on creatures with a cooldown before it can use Shock Venom again (This will not dismount in PvP). It can use Red Venom to inflicts poison damage to the victim over time but can be stacked to deal even more damage the more venom is inflicted to the victim with an attack. It can also use Megalania Toxin or Titanoboa Venom if it happens to have some in its inventory. Megalania Toxin would apply Megarabbies to its victims and Titanoboa Venom would be a stronger torpor attack. The Shringasaurus can also consume a Corrupted Nodule to have a violent stomach reaction which will result in it throwing up a corrupted acid that deals severe damage to creatures and structures at the cost of losing all its hunger. The Shringasaurus gives a passive buff while in the wasteland protecting you from the wasteland debuff effects. It also provides increased damage and armor for creatures during wave defense. It significantly buffs herbivores more. The Shringasaurus has a dash/lunge attack where it propels itself forward horizontally, closing gaps in combat while dealing damage. This attack could also be used to clear trees or rocks out of your way. It also has a bleed/impale horn attack similar to the Carnotaurus. The Shringasaurus is always aware and will not allow enemy flyers from picking you off its saddle, it will hit flyer that tries to pick you with its horns. Travel: The Shringasaurus makes an excellent travel mount being a high speed tame with great maneuverability and agility. Being a warm blooded creature, it is more active and agile. It can be outrun by other creatures though such as the Gallimimus. The Shringasaurus is capable of climbing walls similar to a Megalania but not as fast as a Rock Drake. It makes an excellent swimmer in the ocean for exploration and combat. Shringasaurus also has fall damage reduction taking almost no damage from high drops. Harvester: The Shringasaurus can collect berries from bushes, but is unable to collect anything from trees or rocks. It seems to harvest more Narcoberries than the others as it is a picky eater preferring to produce narcotics to use later. The Shringasaurus is also great for harvesting Black Pearls from Corrupted Creatures. The Shringasaurus also collects vast amounts of Blue and Red Crystalized Sap from the proper trees. PvE and PvP: The Shringasaurus is a great travel mount, good for combat and closing spaces with its dash attack. It offers protection from enemy flyers, it is useful for harvesting black pearls and overall can traverse almost all terrain except flying. Its multiple status affects and ability to toggle venoms makes the player strategize how to use it in combat. Utility: The Shringasaurus is a great utility mount making it useful for situations where you forget to bring narcotics, or if you need to regain health in a pinch. Its most unique use is the ability to produce healing pastes to heal other herbivores which can be force fed to them or consumed yourself. 2. Bajadasaurus Dossier Species: Bajadasaurus Aquamantisia Temperament:Territorial Wild Bajadasaurus Aquamantisia is notorious for its extreme territorial behavior even to the most peaceful of creatures. Most apparent about the Bajadasaurus is that some have Sails along their neck While some have horns because of the species’ sexual dimorphism. When they're not busy running down another creature, bajadasaurus enjoy being in water spending most of their time there but travel back to the jungle when it starts to get dark out. (extra info, not in dossier) I have heard numerous stories of the infamous Bajadasaurus Aquamantisia suddenly attacking and causing great damage to villages. These creatures truly are the jack in the box! When they're not busy running down another creature, bajadasaurus enjoy being in water spending most of their time there but travel back to the jungle when it starts to get dark out. Bajadasaurus are a perfect example of sexual dimorphism; the females are less aggressive and sport 2 neck sails that they flare to frighten oncoming attackers, while the males have an array of spines on their neck. They also release a pheromone that makes them more aggressive when they inflate their neck sac. While the females of the species rarely attack unless provoked first, the males of the species are the polar opposite and even pick fights with rival males or other creatures that get too close, even herbivores! Taming Because of their less aggressive manner, before attacking female Bajadasaurs will flare their sails but will not proceed to attack if you drop them some fiber, after a while hand-feed the female to gain her trust. Although i have seen a tamed Bajadasaurus male its owner did not want to say how one might time this valuable creature. (extra info, not in dossier) It is fairly common to see two bajadasaurus males fight and while they won't kill each other, they may leave each other incredibly wounded. However, as I have seen firsthand, this is the only way that one can attempt to befriend them because of their awful temperament. During A clash between two males you must help one outbest the other and after the losing male skitters off the winning male will follow you, pondering if it needs to attack. At this time you want to feed it some medical brews to take care of those gnarly injuries. Females are much simpler to tame on the other hand, just drop them some fiber , but don’t get too close or they might become weary and attack. After a while they'll be okay with you hand feeding them. Domesticated Bajadasaurus specializes in gathering fiber and wood; however, they can crush even the hardest of stones. From quick feet to neck maneuverability, bajadasaurus are shockingly mobile for their size and become even more so after they've had a quick dip in some water. While a great mount to keep around , i'll have to continue to test how to mate bajadasaurs in captivity (extra info, not in dossier) An allied bajadasaur are excellent gatherers of fiber and wood, they can even crush the hardest of stones. These creatures are surprisingly mobile for their size and become even more so after they've had a quick dip in some water. During my studies, I've observed that these beasts simply refuse to mate while in captivity…I wonder what's their favored condition for mating. Gameplay -Can fit into the smaller boss arenas when using the toggle neck mode - Excellent swimmer -Saddle Will be placed under the head -Large Oxygen Stat -Larger than Amargasaurus but much smaller than the brontosaurus Spawns -Shallow Sea water -streams/Rivers -Jungles -Always in groups of 3 (2 females and 1 male,or 1 female and 2 males) Taming Female-get close enough to where the female will flare its sails at you then drop it some fiber. At 50% taming you can now hand feed her the fiber and this will give more percentage than just dropping it to her Male-while two males are fighting, help the male injure the other male that you do not want to tame. When it reaches 20% health it will run off. The winning male will then approach you before attacking if you do not have medical brews in your inventory. If you do have medical brews it will then lean its neck down to drink them. Breeding -For some weird reason, tamed bajadasaurudae seem to only want to mate while they're in water. -If a bajadasaurus egg is hatched while in water the baby will be granted a permanent buff called “Water Birth” that works similar to imprinting and can be stacked with it. -However, be careful to not let the baby drown before the egg hatches! Sexual dimorphism -Females lack the neck horns but are adorned with sails that can flare out before they attack or when they feel threatened, when doing this they cause a fear effect by making themselves appear larger. -Males lack the sails but instead have an array of horns protruding from the neck region. They also have a neck sac that can be inflated, causing the release of a pheromone that enrages the dino for a period of time. Passive Abilities -Pressure Dive: The deeper down in the bajadasaur goes the more damage it will do. from 1x at the surface to 1.5x at the lowest point in the ocean -Accelerates slowly while running -Hydration buff when in contact with water (similar to spino, increasing speed and damage) -filled water containers in the inventory activates the hydration buff -rain activates the hydration buff until it stops raining -A toggle neck mode allowing the creature to lower its neck to dodge projectiles or fit into places it previously could not fit into. -immobile turning Resources/Harvesting -Cannot harvest berries/seeds -only eats fiber -Great wood and fiber gatherer -can also gather fiber from trees -Organic polymer can be scraped from skin (similar to leedsichthys) -drops organic polymer when harvested -males can harvest rocks with neck spine sweep -Females can harvest rocks with stomping tantrum Behaviors -runs away from a fight when at low health (similar to spino) -at sunrise groups will leave jungles and go to rivers/lakes/shallow waters. At sunset groups will return back to the jungle -in the wild it will attack anything thats gets too close to it unless it is bigger than the bajadasaur itself or just a very small creature (this includes herbivores) -absolutely hates (tamed) amargasaurus and will always try to kill them -in the wild Females will flare its sails at a creature coming too close, only if it comes even closer then the female will charge and attack the threat -males just attack anything coming too close with no warning (unless bigger than itself or just too small) -males may may get into fighting matches where they clash horns, not killing each other but the one with its health lowered to 20% first will run off -males who just left a fight with each other will become more like the female in terms of aggression (stares down a creature coming too close, only if it comes even closer then the male will charge and attack the threat) Moveset Left click-left/right foot stomp Right click (Female)- Stomping Tantrum: Goes on hind legs then slams down Right click (Male)- Neck Spine Sweep Spacebar-Toggle Neck Mode: lowers neck down to shoulder level C -Tail grab: Can grab small creatures and players (raptor and smaller) Right click (while creature in tail)- Downward tail bash X -(female)- Bellow: sails flare out and causes a fear effect (similar to yuty) on smaller creatures and takes reduced amount of damage when attacked X -(Male)- Bellow: Neck sac becomes inflated and causes a rage effect on the dino giving it boosted speed and damage output Inspiration/idea Links Gender dimorphism based on the differing view of how bajadasaurus actually looked-Bajadasaurus - Wikipedia Aggression-Bull - Wikipedia Territorial factor,Male Sparring-Goat - Wikipedia Female flaring neck sails-Deception in animals - Wikipedia Male inflatable neck sack-Gular skin - Wikipedia
  3. Introducing Edestus - The Ocean Guillotine The goal of Edestus is to provide The Center and its vast oceans with some much-needed variety, as well as providing unique combat, utility, and QoL features that can benefit all players regardless of how invested you are into aquatic progression. I’ll leave a quick rundown of Edestus’s abilities for those who don’t want to spend too much time reading through this submission. Scroll further down to check out this creature’s in-depth dossier, stats, controls, taming method, and unique Alpha variant, as well as extra ideas for Edestus you all can suggest in the replies. Extreme Attack Stat Edestus deals a ton of damage, but has a very restricted area of effect. This makes Edestus specialize in killing much larger creatures, as it struggles hitting smaller swarms. Pick your battles wisely! Bonus Group Exp All nearby allies gain bonus shared exp when your Edestus kills an enemy creature. Pairing with other abilities listed below, Edestus makes for a highly effective late-game exp farmer. Alpha-Detecting Sonar Edestus can detect and point out the closest underwater Alpha predator to its location from a massive range. However, Edestus cannot notify you of what creature in particular it’s detecting, so it’s up to you if you’re willing to take the risk of battling what it detects. Creature Sacrifice Got a creature you no longer need? Have some creatures or a boss-fighting army in need of exp without having them all individually slaughter baby Gigas? Bring your sacrifice in front of Edestus along with your other tames to watch the show. As your sacrifice gets sliced in two, all nearby allies gain a massive exp bonus. This exp amount is amplified even further by how much exp the sacrifice would’ve given if you killed it yourself. Ram Attack A secondary attack option locked behind a short cooldown, Edestus charges and rams into the foe, inflicting a stun effect similar to the Trike. Can be used to gain a bit of extra speed or gain an advantage at the start of a battle. Regrowing Teeth The teeth of Edestus can occasionally fall and gather in its inventory. This lowers your damage, but the teeth regrow back relatively quickly. These teeth can be grinded down to produce a material that can act as an alternative to Silica Pearls. Surfacing Mode A mode you can toggle once at the water's surface. Edestus pokes its fin out of the water, granting an above-water field of view and a small speed increase, perfect for cross-island traversing, or recreating your favorite JAWS scenes. Dossier "Don't mind the change in style for this dossier. This elusive predator native to this ARK seems to not have been documented yet, I figured I'd jump to it incase an unfortunate survivor happened to run into one of these beasts unaware of what they're really dealing with." "I'm deeming this species Edestus epithymia, or "Desire to Devour", though it's up to Helena if this name is kept in a more refined writing regarding the animal." Every Edestus tells a story through the various wounds and scars on its body, as its macropredatory instincts aren't without repercussions. As effective as Edestus is at cleaving through large prey, many become so beat up over time they're made into prey due to dysfunctionalities. This may be the cause of their extreme rarity on this ARK. My tribe has managed to tame a few Edestus. One tribemate brought up the ridiculous idea of knocking the teeth right out its mouth and feed the de-weaponized Edestus manually before they grow back. To my surprise, it seemed to have worked. Perhaps Edestus find upmost importance in a free food source if it means they can avoid another risky hunt. Watching an Edestus effortlessly slice through foes is, quite literally, a bloody spectacle, even for other animals. My own tames have never been more eager for battle after watching the thrill of the bloodshed caused by this creature. The teeth of Edestus contain a material common in several other species on the ARK, often used in the creation of advanced tools. Since Edestus teeth fall off and regrow regularly, they can be used as a reliable source of this material. Taming Method As described in the dossier, Edestus is tamed by first knocking all 12 of its teeth out, then feeding it passively. The teeth must be removed by damaging them directly with a projectile. Once removed, feed Edestus its preferred food, Raw Prime Meat. Raw Mutton, or aquatic apex drops. Alpha Edestus Unlike the current Alpha variants present in ARK: Survival Evolved, Alpha Edestus sports its own unique pattern to really emphasize the ferocity of this oceanic apex. Find your current Edestus a little bland? Kill an Alpha Edestus to obtain its unique patterning for your own, keeping your tame's color regions! Stats Tamable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breeding: Yes Taming: Passive Most Preferred Food: Alpha Tuso Eye Equipment: Edestus Saddle (lvl 83) Unique Skins: Edestus Alpha Skin Health: 1950 Stamina: 450 Food: 5000 Weight: 750 Melee Damage: 250 Drag Weight: 500 Controls Primary: Bite Secondary: Ram Tertiary: Alpha Sonar Jump (Near Surface): Toggle Surface Mode Ram (In Surface Mode): Jump/Breach Creature Sacrifice: Bring tame close to Edestus's mouth, select Sacrifice Tame in Edestus's radial menu. Community Corner EDGYDROMAEOSAURID - Add-on Suggestions Form of Camoflauge; Perhaps this could be a general passive effect that lowers aggro radius. Would always be nice to have less worry about those pesky Megalodons, especially for a creature focused on attacking larger foes. Bonus Damage to Tuso/soft-bodied animals; Could further solidify Edestus's role as an anti-tank or apex feeder. I could see bonus damage to Alpha predators as well, maybe even removing or stealing their attack and resistance buff from other wild tames. Quick Turning; This would make Edestus much less frustrating to use in comparison to other aquatic tames such as Mosasaurus, and also aid the creature in dealing with smaller or agile targets more consistently. Tail Fluke Slap; Perhaps an alternative attack to the given Ram move. Could be used to knock out creatures or, depending on ASA's water mechanics, knock back and launch foes. Got any ideas for Edestus? Comment your own ideas to expand upon Edestus or share your own takes on this species, and I'll add them to this section for Wildcard to consider!
  4. One would need to approach a male with the Cnidarias bio toxin and offer it to the creature. You will have needed to tame a male Shringasaurus and to approach a female and offer it bio toxin. They seem to reside in underground forest caves in The Underground World and Floating Island. They feed on berries and like to eat Narcotics or Narcoberries. Their favorite food is Bio Toxin which gives them a bit of an electric kick, they seem to be able to hunt Cnidaria without being affected by their shock attack. Taming: To tame a male Shringasaurus, you will need a fast mount or a mount that is able to avoid getting hit by the Shringsaurus Dash attack. You will then need to put Bio Toxin or Narcotics in your last item bar and run up to a Male Shringasaurus and press E to feed it. You will have 5 seconds to stand near the Shringasaurus before it becomes aggressive, make sure to feed it during those 5 seconds. After it has eaten the narcotic or toxin, it will then acknowledge you and start to attack you with Dash attacks. Once you have knocked out the Shringasaurus, you can then feed it Narcotics or Bio Toxin to tame it. To tame a female you will need to have already tamed a male Shringasaurus, you will need to approach a Female Shringasaurus which will probably be keeping an eye on you. Feed it a Bio Toxin or Narcotic and it will initiate a taming bar. If you lose the fight, all the Shringasaurus will attack you, if you win the fight, the female will allow you to passive tame her with Narcotics or Bio Toxin. It is still inferior to Medical Brews and Veggie Cakes. It is produced by having Tintoberries in its inventory, producing 1 healing paste per 5 Tintoberries. The Shringasaurus can also produce a shock venom which is produced from having Bio Toxin in its inventory, it produces 1 Shock Venom per 5 Bio Toxin. It can also use Megalania Toxin or Titanoboa Venom if it happens to have some in its inventory. Megalania Toxin would apply Megarabbies to its victims and Titanoboa Venom would be a stronger torpor attack. The Shringasaurus is also great for harvesting Sillica and Black h when exploring the depths of the ocean, It can either harvest these pearls from deposits or from creatures. The Shringsaurus harvests vast amounts of Bio Toxin from Cnidaria as it is its favorite food, while being immune to the stun and shock affects. PvE and PvP: The Shringasaurus is a great travel mount, good for combat and closing spaces with its dash attack. It offers protection from enemy flyers, and is not affected by shock attacks from jellyfish in the ocean. It is useful for harvesting silica and black pearls and overall can traverse almost all terrain except flying. 5. Introducing the Skunk! This curious and playful creature can be found running about the depths of Aberration digging up items, teasing the local wildlife, and ferrying its kits amongst the dangers of the unforgiving landscape. Don't worry if you see one running up to you, as it probably wants to play, that is, unless you see its tail straight up in which case, you may want to hightail it out of there yourself! Wild The Orretherium Mortifaeris, or more commonly known as, the Skunk, is a curious addition to this aberrant landscape. While most of the creatures here seem eager to end your existence, this playful creature seems to enjoy a survivors company. They even seem to play games with the survivor. In fact, playing these games with a mother skunk may lead to her letting a survivor care for one of her offspring. Be careful not to get too rowdy though, or these walking stink bombs will give you a surprise that'll have you all choked up. It seems like these skunks really enjoy teasing the local wildlife. I've seen them tinkering with beehives, and even beaver dams, without so much as a scratch from the inhabitants... well... most of the time. Domesticated These skunks seem extraordinarily adept at tinkering with natural structures to harvest their resources, but they also are great at messing about with human made structures! I once saw a survivor use one of these clever creatures to help organize resources around their base. I've also seen these skunks stockpile the things they find in their tinkering. It looks like they can bury objects using a weird slurry of clay and thatch to save little caches for future use. Now, these fluffy weasels seem all cute and innocent, but they really put modern skunks to shame when it comes to their scent. They have an innate ability to control their gas spray ranging from a large local cloud, short projectile-like bursts, or even a combination scatter bomb! Phew, sounds unlucky for any unsuspecting prey! Fortunately, tamed skunks seem to protect their rider from any... friendly fire. Conceptual Ideas: The Orretherium Mortifaeris is meant to serve as both a utility creature and offensive support tame. It can launch a variety of poisonous projectiles that can knock you and your tame out, as well as, help organize your base. This creature should be incredibly useful, if not a necessity, on both PvE and PvP servers. Here are some of the proposed ideas for this stinky boi. General Aesthetics and Utility: The skunks tail goes up in an offensive mode, and goes down for it's passive utility mode (this is meant to free up space with the controls, as well as, serve as a cooldown between the various PvP to PvE utilities) Preferred food is mushrooms since there are several types on Aberration, although it is fully omnivorous once tamed Can be seen following Roll Rats, tinkering with beehives, or messing with Beaver dams (if included on other maps) to give more life to a mostly passive creature Has decent weight, and has greater and more reductions than a Ravager, but can not use ziplines. In the wild, female skunks can be seen running around with one to three babies following close behind PvP Utility: Three different poisonous attacks that utilize torpor inducing items as ammo (Ammo types can include narcoberries, narcotics, bio toxin, and maybe even nameless venom. The quality of the resource can determine how much is needed to perform an attack). A large localized cloud that envelopes the player and immediate surroundings A smaller projectile that can lock on and stick to enemies from a large range A medium sized projectile that creates a cloud wherever it hits at a medium range These attacks can knockout both players and tames They also do damage to armor Players are not completely immune to skunk poison using TEK Helmets, Gas Masks, or Hazard Suit Hats, but are dealt reduced torpor Can unbury enemy creatures (assuming you know where it's at) Potentially chokes enemies out similar to the gas veins on Aberration, but for a shorter duration Can deposit crafted item caches that act similar to a buried Purlovia, but decay at a quicker rate, and have a cost (I originally suggested clay and thatch, but I understand clay is not present on Aberration, so that may just be hide and maybe nameless venom or something) Has a standard swipe/bite attack Riding a skunk protects the player from gas attacks PvE Utility: Can be set to target a friendly structure and deposit items from its inventory to similar structures within a certain radius (I'm thinking of this as more of an expanded ammo box meets S+ transfer tool, with the ability to set the skunk to a structure such as a generator. The player can then fill the skunk with gasoline, and an icon will pop up above nearby generators that show the quantity of fuel, and will also automatically deposit gasoline to the specified fill limit. Should work with TEK structures too.) Some examples of this may look like: Being able to harvest your own beehives and deposit the honey directly into industrial cooker/s or fridge/s Dumping a newly acquired kit directly into a specific loadout mannequin Loading your skunk up with a bunch of different resources and depositing them into their appropriate dedicated storage in one go Transferring your flak helmets from your crafting area to a named vault in your war room Can loot Roll Rat resources, honey from beehives, or even Beaver dams (which I understand are not on Aberration) with a simple mini-game similar to a quick Stryder hacking. Passive taming/claiming method in which you deposit a preferred mushroom into it's wild caches after initiating taming with a pet on a mother skunk. After gaining enough affinity the mother will allow you to adopt one of it's babies (Since ASA is supposed to have wild babies, this may be a neat way to introduce a unique way to get a creature that isn't too grindy or overly complex, whilst highlighting the new wild babies mechanic) Can be used to manually dig up loot that can be found in earthquake rubble without needing an earthquake present The skunk can also gather the unearthed resources from earthquakes when set to wander
  6. Hi guys I would like to introduce you guys to my hyper charged healer .. the lambeosaurus . This is gonna be the 8 th community vote creature and we still haven’t gotten any cool herbivores so after 2 months of writing down ideas that are original and unique so this creature feels right at home in the depths of aberration I feel like it would please the pvp and pve fandbase. COMMON NAME: LAMBEO SPECIES: LAMBEOSAURUS ILUMIMEDICA DIET:HERBIVORE/CHARGE TIME: LATE CRETACEOUS TEMPERMENT: DOCILE/SKITTISH WILD : IN the wild Lambeosaurus ilumimedica is a majestic creature to behold unlike in the fossil records Lambeosaurus has developed bioluminescence on their crest due to their diet of berries, mushrooms and plant species z fruit. I have observed Lambeosaurus traveling through the mid levels of these caverns always protected from any predators from other battle ready herbivores. I was wondering why these other herbivores creatures would protect Lambeosaurus until I witnessed this majestic bellow that healed wounds from its allies at a superb rate.it would make sense that other herbivores would have a symbiotic relationship with Lambeosaurus due to its regenerating voice. If that wasn’t useful enough it’s voice also doubles as a charged shockwave that deters nameless and reapers . DOMESTICATED: If domesticated I believe Lambeosaurus could develop a new ability on top of its super charged healing voice. I theorize that if synchronized with another Lambeosaurus the symphony would be able to create an area around the two Lambeosaurus that would nullify any radiation within a certain radius . If possible tribes would be able to live in the molten element region completely radiation free. Although Lambeosaurus utilizes charge it cannot produce it by its own so make sure to have a bountiful amount of z fruit or access to some light pets OK now time to get into the details of this bad boy . TAMING : wild Lambeosaurus could spawn in with stegos, mole rats, parasaurs, iguanodons etc. if you attack any herbivores near the Lambeosaurus it will reject you and will not be able to be tamed . In order to tame one you must bring in a injured tamed (herbivore) that is below 20% hp once in the vicinity of the Lambeosaurus it will accept it as part of its Allies and it will start to heal your tame , the more time the Lambeosaurus heals will result in increased taming affinity, once in a while the Lambeosaurus would also need to be cared for during the taming process such as : 1. Hand feeding z fruit 2. shine any source of charge at it 3. give berries to the other herbivores once all requirements have been met the Lambeosaurus should be a easy tame . CELESTIAL CALL: that is what im dubbing the Lambeosaurus roar . Once active the Lambeosaurus will constantly sing and any creature in its area will be affected by the healing buff or if vulnerable to charge will have its respective de buff. Lambeosaurus could possibly sing for long periods of time if feed constantly with z fruit or if a source of charge grazes the Lambeosaurus. A added benefit would be that any creature that is being healed by Lambeosaurus would temporarily be immune to bleed, narcotic effects or stuns. ANTI RADIATION SYMPHONY: in order for this ability to work you must have 2 Lambeosaurus near each over and let them synchronize their roars, it will take aprox, 5 min to ready up. Once ready the area will be displayed that will allow any creature and structure to reside within the deep cavern without radiation sickness. But here’s the catch . Both Lambeosaurus must be feed a consistent flow of z fruit in order to keep up with their melody and if one of them manages to take enough damage it will disrupt the song and radiation will pour in once more
  7. Cave Lion. Also known as the Eurasian cave Lion, it is an extinct Panthera species. It likely evolved in Europe after the third Cromerian interracial stage, which was less than 600,000 years ago. It became extinct about 13,000 years ago. I ran out of time so I didn't get the dossier finished or what the female Lion, or tek saddle would look like but here is what I have for my suggestion. Dossier info: The cyan like stripes are meant to be like the aberrant glow that's seen on the Aberration creatures. Taming; This creature can only be tamed by stealing the baby away from its parents. Either by killing or luring the parents away will make the baby tameable. The baby cave Lion will run from you at first meaning you will need to sneak up on it to feed it, once taming is half way you will gain its trust and it will no longer run away from you. While taming the baby’s maturation will be in stasis until it is tamed, its preferred food is cooked mutton, or extraordinary kibble. The baby cave lion's level will be based off of the parents. Breeding; The cave Lion can be bred like any normal mammal creature, giving a live birth. Rideable; While this creature is rideable it will require a saddle. This creature comes with two options for a saddle. The first saddle is a simple primitive like saddle, the second saddle once unlocked is a Tek saddle needing element shards to shoot from either mini gun that positioned on either side of its shoulders. Abilities This creature has a bleed ability. Male cave lions have the ability to roar which can cause a player to be dismounted as though the creature that was being ridden had bucked the player off out of fear. Players have a chance of being stunned, this ability has a cool down. This ability will not work on large creatures. Female cave lions can pounce, and pinned down their prey similar to a thylacoleo except they don’t need to hide in the trees. Photos from the web.
  8. Atopodentatus is a versatile mount with a unique niche, and will serve as a very unique critter. I must give credit to INDOMELEON since they inspired me to give the ability of shooting projectiles from atopodentatus mouth after I saw their concept art for it. Here is the initial concept art for atopodentatus. ATopodentatus' niche and abilities 1. it will have 3 species, The one with the square bill like face(sb) and split upper jaw(suj) 2. Only creature that harvests the 3 seaweed types 3. Different playstyle for both subspecies 4. Available to tame at lvl 35-50, not decided which lvl exactly you can start taming them 5. Creates resin with seaweed and atopo saliva, paired with sand and minerals can create bullets or globs respectively SB: 1. multiple skull Joints, to make it look like a x shaped gun at will(switch modes) looks like indomeleons atopo dossier shooting mode 2. Chemical reaction from atopo saliva, different types of seaweed as well as bio toxin that creates a special resin used to create the atopo bullets that sb shoots. 3. Seaweed(green, red, and blue seaweed)- normal atopo bullets, deal close to as much as longneck 4. Purpleweed(purple sea weed)- shoots splits resin to multiple sections, to shoot like a shotgun, deals shotgun type damage 5. Blackweed(blackish-green sea weed)- like normal bullets, but provides poison debuff to target, draining stamina, and draining small bits of health 6. Bio toxin- like normal bullets, but can apply a small amount of torpor, and can shut down generators and turrets, This also puts SB in a drugged state, making it jumpy and fast, cnidaria are the only live animal that they eat(hint at taming) 7. Imune to cnidaria bio toxin 8. More pvp based 9. Slightly larger SUJ: 1. Has a split upper jaw, making it more suited for eating floating seaweed, it also eats small fish. this also makes it able to create globs of 2. Chemical reaction from atopo saliva, using different types of seaweed that creates a special resin, used in narco globs 3. Seaweed- used to create normal globs, sticky, like rhynio resin good for trapping small sized creatures 4. Purpleweed- used to rapid fire 3 globs, applies 1.5x damage than normal glob+2x trap power 5. Blackweed- applies large amounts of torpor per glob SB: Common Name: Atopodentatus Species: Atopodentatus SB Temperment: Passive, flee when provoked unless in groups Time: Mid Triassic Diet: Herbivore unless knideria nearby WILD: Atopodentatus SB can usually be found basking on rocks or grazing in the shallow seas of Ragnarok. These creatures seem to be able to distort their jaw structure to use it as a gun, using bullets put of a unique resin like substance. A Notable feature of Atopodentatus, is that they seem to trigger a frenzy after they see knideria in their proximity, and after gourging pn bio toxin, will enter a drugged state(like being drunk), in this state they will be vicious when provoked. They also look like the goofiest creatures on The Ark with their angry and cartoony looking faces. DOMESTICATED: Atopodentatus are pretty hard to tame, In which you will have to feed it bio toxin to make it groggy, then you will have to feed it seaweed(only way to get it without an atopodentatus is with a sickle, this is much slower). The atopodentatus are fast creatures especially in water, being able to traverse like a fish even though they aren’t fish. You will also be able to Utilize their unique ability to become a living turret gun, whith a unique resin-like substance created with atopodentatus’ saliva aswell as different types of seaweed and some salt from the water to create special bullets. These bullets’ affects vary on which seaweed type is used There Is Much more to cover, however this will be posted at a later date, also i dont have a full concept art or dossiers(yes there will be 2) right now, but sooner or later they will be posted. Anyways, I do have some WIP concepts and a sticker to show. In conclusion, My main goal is to bring a unique, special and mostly FUN creature to the huge roster for Ragnarok. I hope that you like the concept and GOOD LUCK!!! I am also taking ability suggestions, If a suggestion is good I will add it to the Submission and credit the person who suggested it.
  9. Artwork By Riskybiscuits Artwork by TheSilentReaper Species: Megalictis Ferox Time: Miocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild The Megalictis is a prehistoric relative of the modern-day Wolverine however it is much larger than the Megalictis seen in the fossil record while that one was around the size of a Jaguar this one is around the same size as a Dire bear. Megalictus is a truly fearsome predator with a bite that is able to crush bone and claws that deal major damage to prey through it’s powerful swipes using these tools it’s able to face off against many of the deadliest creatures on the island by itself I once saw one take on an entire pack of Dire wolves and come out on top. Megalictis also has some of the most specialised adaptations I have seen on the island the first being it’s fur coat the fur is so thick that it is outright immune to any and all cold and ice allowing it to survive in the coldest areas of the island possible Megalictis also possesses a special scent gland similar to skunk if it ends up in a fight it cannot possibly win It activates the scent glad causing all nearby attacking creatures to be briefly stunned and allowing the Megalictis to make a Quick getaway Domesticated Megalictis is a very tough creature to domesticate as it refuses to bow down to anything it considers inferior to it and it’s thick fur coat makes it outright immune to being tranquilised the only method I have seen that will get it to bow down to a survivor is to assert dominance over it a survivor must somehow defeat it in a fight then once It’s weakened the survivor may hop on it’s back and gain control over it. Once tamed Megalictis is a truly fearsome beast and highly valuable asset to any tribe as it’s thick fur not only allows a survivor to traverse the coldest areas, but it renders them outright immune to ice-based attacks this includes from Managarmrs and Ice wyverns. Megalictus also has a remarkable sense of smell that can work to the survivors’ advantage as by sniffing tracks it can reveal the position of any creature to it’s fellow tribemates. However it’s most dangerous ability is it’s Berserker Rage as the Megalictis takes damage and deals damage it will slowly start to become more and more Bloodlusted over time once it reaches its max level of Bloodlust it enters a berserker state letting out a Loud roar with its eyes turning a blood red and causing it’s speed and power to drastically increase. I have also seen many survivors equip the megalictis with a special saddle with a Sled attachment this enables the Megalictis to carry much heavier loads and get around with relative ease Abilities Left Click Bite attack Right Click Swipe attack Can Jump with spacebar Has a warmth effect similar to the Dire bear and Dire wolf however this also makes the rider immune to things like Murder snow is immune to ice based attacks like the Ice Wyvern, Ice titan and Managarmr breath attacks this immunity also extends to the rider Will not be frozen by the snow owl heal but will still recover health Has a Snow buff feature whenever the Megalictis is in a snowy or icy environment or whenever hit with an ice based attack it gains a buff similar to what the Spino, Shadowmane and Tropical wyvern get with water however rather than a movement speed increase it gains a damage resistance buff but still gains the standard Damage increase Has a Sled Saddle Attachment for it's regular saddle the sled can have up to several Megalictis attached to it and the more attached the faster you'll be and the more weight the sled will be able to carry Can see animal and player tracks when sniffed the player or creature will be highlighted on all tribe members screens and their level, health and stats will be displayed Can activate a scent gland that creates a toxic cloud similar to a what the poison grenade does but it can only be activated once the Megalictis has low HP so this ability isn’t abused and Overpowered has a Berserker Rage state inspired by the Marvel Character Wolverine as the Megalictis takes damage and deals damage a small meter will slowly start to fill up once filled the rider presses C causing the Megalictis to go into it’s berserker rage state during it the creature will let out a loud roar and it’s eyes will turn bright red and all damage it deals is doubled, it’s movement speed and attack speed are doubled and it gains damage resistance however this rage only lasts around 3 mins and once it is over the Megalictis will gain a debuff called Fatigued where it’s attack speed, movement speed, health regen and stamina regen are all halved for a brief period. It also gains a new attack replacing the claw swipe called the frenzy swipe where is slashes rapidly with it's claws this attack deals major damage however it drains stamina rapidly Has the ability Fearless this makes the Megalictis completely immune to things like the fear roars of a Yuti or Rhynio
