Lourinhanosaurus, the friendly protector.
Silvius posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Lourinhanosaurus (meaning "Lourinhã lizard") was a genus of carnivorous theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic Period (Kimmeridgian/Tithonian) in Portugal. It is one of many large predators discovered at the Lourinhã Formation and probably competed with coeval Torvosaurus gurneyi, Allosaurus europaeus, and Ceratosaurus. Unlike their original counterparts, who were believed to have specialized on feeding on coastal sea life. The Lourinhanosaurus that I have found on the ruins of the futuristic city where we have taken shelter since we arrived on earth, seem to have specialized on feeding on large insects, that reside here like the Pulmonoscorpius and the Araneos, but won´t say no to any other small animal they can put their teeth on. The most amazing thing about this variant, that we now know was laboratory created, is that these animals, is that they seemed to have been genetically engineered to not harm humans. Actually, after the other day accident, when we were suddenly surrendered by an large swarm of Araneos, and thought we were done for as our ammunition was running dry, and group of Lourinhanosaurus, that probably were passing by when they heard the sound of the fight, came and started fighting off the giant spiders, until there was none left. Then the larger of them calmly walked towards me. Of course my first instinct was to run away, but Mei Yin stopped me, and ordered everyone to turn their weapons down, and then grabbed my hand and walked us, all the way to the dinosaur, who lowered his head, allowing for us to pet him. And as we did it actually started wagging its tail, in obvious sign of satisfaction, as did all the others when we pet every single one of them. They eventually decided to leave us, and go on with their lives. Leaving me to conclude that these animals were made to do no harm to humans, they were engineered to protect them. After some time in the city ruins Mei Yin, figured that we couldn't actually tame any of the wilds ones, but instead after following one group of Lourinhanosaurus to their out curiosity, and helping them defend it from attack from swarm of insects, the larger one, gifted her with a egg. Wild Lourinhanosaurus will protect any players that are in their area range (same isn´t true towards your tames, and if it´s small dino, they will aggro on them, ignoring any tame as big as a rex), against any type of enemies, however they will never leave sanctuary area. Taming: To tame a Lourinhanosaurus you will need to find a nesting area, and help the parents protect it from waves of insects, in the end if you still alive, the female will lay an fertilized egg, which you can then take. However, you can't use any tame to assist you, because the Lourinhanosaurus will aggro on them, unless it's a tamed Lourinhanosaurus. Especial Traits: Lourinhanosaurus, generally speaking is basically another Allo in size and strengh, except they have a especial trait called Bound, this is will be basically another level up system, that fill up as you kill enemies, but it will give you points that you can use to level up the Lourinhanosaurus Base Status,(just like mutations stacks works). Lourinhanosaurus can breed, but it won't receive status mutations, only color mutations. Lourinhanosaurus can only be mounted by the player that imprinted on him, and only gain Bound points while you fight mounted on him. Dear survivors! Don't you want to ride a pterosaur that is good at fighting and can collect trees, and can further strengthen pterosaurs? I thought this Caiajara was attractive and suggested it! It seems that Caiuajara lived in Brazil in the late Cretaceous period. If you land on the world of ARK, I want it to be this big compared to Survivor. wild Caiuajara lives mainly in the sanctuary, but sometimes it can be seen in other areas. They are ferocious in the wild and actively attack medium and small creatures. However, large creatures will not be attacked by themselves. However, if they are attacked by their opponents, they will fight back regardless of their size. Taming Caiuajara can be tamed in a special way. First of all, please prepare one of Pteranodon, Tapejara, or Tropeognathus. It can't be more than one. When you get on the prepared creature and get close to them, they will temporarily increase the movement speed of the creature. In this state, the chase in the air begins. At this time, if you are attacked more than 10 times, you will have to start over from the beginning. If they are being chased for a while without being attacked too much, they will temporarily follow the creature after admitting their speed. At this time, if you are enjoying air travel together for a while without sprinting, the gauge will progress and finally the tame will be completed. After taming Caiuajara can ride by attaching a saddle. Of course, it is also possible to fly freely in the air. Left click : Bite Their attack power and attack speed are almost the same as Raptor. Right Click : Crest Axe Shake down the Crest vigorously, cut the opponent and attack. This attack is more powerful than Bite, and the attack speed is slow. In addition, this attack can make the opponent bleed lightly. It is also possible to collect wood, and you can get a lot of Hide. C key:Grab it It can only be used when they are flying. The range they can grasp is the same as Argentavis. passive ability First of all, they can reduce the weight of wood and Hides to a quarter. In addition, it is possible to greatly increase the attack power, attack speed, movement speed, and defense power of the pterosaurs around them, and their natural resilience is also increased. This effect can be received by Caiuajara itself, but it will not be superimposed. lastly If you think this creature is attractive, please vote! Also, if you have any questions, please leave a comment! From here on, it's an explanation for Japanese people.

fluffy Fukuivenator〜primordial Therizinosaur〜
negi posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Survivor, everyone! Don't you want a dinosaur that is cool and good at collecting fibers, and on top of that, a reliable dinosaur? So, I propose the dinosaur "Fukuivenator" excavated in Japan. This dinosaur inhabits Japan from 127 million years to 115 million years ago, and is now considered to be a member of the primitive Therizinosaur. It seems that it was more carnivorous than Therizinosaur. In reality, the total length is said to be about 2.4m, but if it is added to ARK, I think a bigger one is better. wild Fukuivenator mainly appears in sanctutuary and underground forests, but it may also appear in snowy mountain domes. They are covered in feathers like Yutyrannus and are very fluffy! They are the same size as Therizinosaur, but they are faster on foot than Therizinosaur. Fukuivenator is violent, but it does not attack aggressively like other carnivores. However, it attacks from farther than therizinosaur. However, by equipping Gilly equipment, you can get close to them without being noticed. However, if you touch it, you will be noticed. In addition, you will be attacked by REX and Yutyrannus, but you will invalidate the roar of fear by Yutyrannus and get the same effect as the benefits of the roar of your ally Yutyrannus. Taming Fukuivenator can be tamed by making it coma. However, because they are covered with feathers, they reduce the damage caused by bullets and explosives and counteract the effect of Tranq Arrow and Tranquilizer Dart. Clubs and boomerangs are effective, but it is not recommended to provoke their anger. The most efficient way to put them to a coma is to hand them Narcoberries, Ascerbic Mushrooms, or Spoiled Meat. However, once you give it to them, they will get angry and start rampaging. You can't stop them from going on a rampage, so stay away and wait until they calm down. You can put them into a coma by repeating this. However, do not give Narcotic or Bio Toxin. If you give it by mistake, it will be noticed and act violently. It eats both fruit and Raw Meat, but prefers Raw Meat. His favorite bait is Exceptional Kibble. After taming Basic status plan of Fukuivenator Physical strength: 890 Stamina: 320 Oxygen value: 130 Food value: 2700 Weight: 325 Basic attack power: 57 Fukuivenator can be ridden by attaching a saddle. Therizinosaurs are better at collecting than them, but their fighting ability is higher. Also, by being warmed by the feathers while riding, most of the cold will be fine. Left click : Scratching The attack power is higher than Teririnosaurus. You can collect fiber by using it for grass, but you can't collect berries. Right Click : charge scratch It has a higher attack power than a left click, and you can make your opponent bleed like the leader of Allosaurus. However, there is a cool time of 15 seconds. Space Bar : Bite You can collect a lot of Thatches, Hides, berries and Pelts. In addition, the shock wave can stun organisms below the Jutaraptor for 8 seconds. C key:Roar The morale of the surrounding allies increases, and the attack power and attack speed increase for 40 seconds. In addition, the received ally can invalidate all state abnormalities for 10 seconds. X key:Grooming By mending, you can quickly recover your physical strength like Argentavis for 20 seconds. Also, feathers are available at this time, and these feathers can be used as a substitute for Pelts, polymers, and Fiber. However, there will be a cool time of 20 seconds before the next use. passive ability Like in the wild, Fukuivenator reduces the damage caused by bullets and explosives as well cancels the effects of Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Dart, and does not sleep by them. Also, it doesn't bleed because it's protected by feathers. In addition, by putting Hides, Pelts, and their feathers in the inventory, when they are damaged, they can consume one for each damage and reduce the damage they receive. Hides cuts 10% damage, Pelts 20%, and feathers 30% damage. As for the priority to consume, feathers are the highest and Hides are the lowest. This also applies to bullets and explosives, but not to poison or bleeding. Also, as in the wild, they nullify the roar of fear by Yutilanus and get the same effect as the benefit of the roar of their ally Yutilanus. Of course, they don't get scared. lastly If you think this creature is attractive, please vote! Also, if you have any questions, please leave a comment! From here on, it's an explanation for Japanese people. -

Reason The cliffs and sharp terrain of the center pose a challenge to even the experienced ark player - the symocyon present a unique solution to this challenge without needing to rush into taming a flyer and leaving the ground behind. Creature Info Simocyon batalleri is an extinct relative of the Red Panda, belonging to the family Ailuridae, which lived in the late Miocene and early Pliocene across Europe, Asia, North America and Africa. Like the Red Panda, simocyon was an adept climber, however, unlike the red panda, Simocyon was predatory, and had the same false thumb Giant Pandas use to hold bamboo. Additionally, some researchers have suggested that Simocyon had the same kind of bone-crushing bite a hyena. They grew to a similar size to the modern-day cougar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simocyon https://carnivora.net/simocyon-batalleri-t350.html Wild Living in the craggy heights of the western cliffs and snowy grasslands, as well as the outskirts of the redwoods, Simocyon is a shy creature that keeps to itself. They use their dexterous hands to grab their prey, and incapacitate them with their bone-crushing bites. A careful predator, Simocyon will not attack survivors unless provoked in some way. With their powerful limbs and thumb-like claws, they have no issue scaling steep surfaces. They can jump higher than similar-sized creatures, and are able to run in a "skipping" motion, bounding upwards on their two rear legs before landing on their front limbs at increasingly greater speeds the longer they run for. The Simocyon can grab live prey in its hands, and sit back onto its back legs while biting the unfortunate creature. Taming To befriend a Simocyon, the survivor must trap them in a bear trap, and feed it rare mushrooms. This will enrage the creature, and and others of its kind nearby, whilst also increasing the creature's torpor. Once it breaks free of the trap, the survivor must not harm it, and try to survive its furious attacks before trapping it again. This process is repeated until the Simocyon falls unconscious, where it can then be fed to tame. Domesticated A domesticated Simocyon is the ideal travel-mount for many biomes across the center. With its climbing abilities and vicious bite, Simocyon can get just about anywhere, and has the strength to fend of small-to-medium opponents. This creature can run along zip lines and vines with ease. Using the Simocyon's special bone-crushing bite ability, the rider can give wild and enemy creatures a slowing effect that reduces the speed of their movement. Additionally, a tamed Simocyon can grab smaller creatures and players when ridden, and either hold them in place while the captured creature is tamed; or, deal savage bites to the captive enemy. Attacks LMB: Slash attack (faster, less damage) RMB: Bite attack (slower, more damage - hold for 5 seconds to do bone-crushing bite) C-Key: Grab attack Saddle Unlocking As a mid-game tame, the saddle should be available around Level 37

Stupendemys natator, the alligator-eating turtle
cart400 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Stupendemys was a tortoise of titanic proportions that lived in the Miocene in northern South America, but this subspecies still managed to surpass that size. Wild: In the wild, stupendemys natator is a born hunter hunting animals from fish and mainly sarcosuchus which is her favorite dish, being an agile swimmer one can expect that her speed on land is not the best but on the contrary she is very fast on land. Domestication method: The taming of stupendemys natator is not the easiest you will have to find a stupendemys nest where you will feed a chick with meat and start a domestication process where if you give it a time when the stupendemys mother is on the prowl she will attack you after this process you will have a strong hoof companion by your side. Skills: Bite: Basic attack with moderate damage. Bite Throw: In this skill your stupendemys throws its neck forward grabbing with a bite and pull for heavy damage. Claws in sight: Attack with the stupendemys claws which only works in water and removes it from handling by argentavis, rhyniognatha and Quetzalcoatl. Liabilities: Crocodile Killer: This passive brings a buff that increases damage against sarcosuchus by 200%. Piranha Repellent: Scares nearby megapiranhas into fear and flees. Hardened Hoof: Decreases damage dealt to creature by 15%. Dossier: I saw few creatures with an affection for a certain type of prey as Stupendemys natator has, this giant is native to beaches, swamps and rivers and is a literal thick shell its claws prevent it from being caught in the claws of animals like Rhyniognatha and Quetzalcoatl, in addition to its swimming speed which is incredible, remember these animals are very jealous of their young but their domestication can only be done from them so it is necessary.- 5 replies

The Tylosaurus was a giant mosasaurus being equaled to the mosasaurus in size, but this subspecies has very specific forms of attack. Wild: Unlike the mosasaur that lives in the depths, Tylosaurus sicarius lives closer to the shores looking for prey that is far away or that is on the surface when the prey is sighted you can see from afar a bang after the jump followed by a bite that if it does not kill the prey the bleeding will kill them they are solitary predators but they will be of great help. Taming method: To tame your own Tylosaurus you will need patience since you will have to look for a bigger Tylosaurus and make it retreat leaving it with 2% of the total life so you will find where the nursery is and be able to tame a baby with Kibble and only Kibble. Skills: Bite: Basic attack working with right click with good damage. Ambush: Hide with your Tylosaurus and attack prey while swimming to cause bleeding. Swing: Uses its tail to throw creatures smaller than a plesiosaur out of the water, this attack works on large ones but only deals damage. Push: In this attack, the Tylosaurus throws itself against the enemy and stuns it, giving time for ambushes or escapes. Thirst for Battle: Gives 20% bonus speed and 10% damage to allies. Saddles: Like its mosasaur relative, Tylosaurus has the normal and platform saddle with the platform saddle being slightly smaller than the mosasaur platform. Shallow Jump: In this attack, the tylosaurus will jump onto the beach or nearby rocks, dragging creatures smaller than a triceratops into the water. Dossier: the tylosaurus is a literal great addition to this marine giant's team, it is always ambushing the creatures, this mosasaur enemy lives in intermediate places between the deep and shallow and loves to attack rafts in the center so attention must be given to the sea survivors , his attacks are incredibly effective so make sure he doesn't miss your boat but don't settle for staying on the beach if this giant spots you he will jump onto the beach trying to get you dinner.

Introducing the Skunk! This curious and playful creature can be found running about the redwoods and jungles of the Center landscape digging up items, teasing the local wildlife, and ferrying its kits amongst the dangers of the unforgiving landscape. Don't worry if you see one running up to you, as it probably wants to play, that is, unless you see its tail straight up in which case, you may want to hightail it out of there yourself! Wild The Orretherium Mortifaeris, or more commonly known as, the Skunk, is a curious addition to this tropical landscape. While most of the creatures here seem eager to end your existence, this playful creature seems to enjoy a survivors company. They even seem to play games with the survivor. In fact, playing these games with a mother skunk may lead to her letting a survivor care for one of her offspring. Be careful not to get too rowdy though, or these walking stink bombs will give you a surprise that'll have you all choked up. It seems like these skunks really enjoy teasing the local wildlife. I've seen them tinkering with beehives, and even beaver dams, without so much as a scratch from the inhabitants... well... most of the time. Domesticated These skunks seem extraordinarily adept at tinkering with natural structures to harvest their resources, but they also are great at messing about with human made structures! I once saw a survivor use one of these clever creatures to help organize resources around their base. I've also seen these skunks stockpile the things they find in their tinkering. It looks like they can bury objects using a weird slurry of clay and thatch to save little caches for future use. Now, these fluffy weasels seem all cute and innocent, but they really put modern skunks to shame when it comes to their scent. They have an innate ability to control their gas spray ranging from a large local cloud, short projectile-like bursts, or even a combination scatter bomb! Phew, sounds unlucky for any unsuspecting prey! Fortunately, tamed skunks seem to protect their rider from any... friendly fire. Conceptual Ideas: The Orretherium Mortifaeris is meant to serve as both a utility creature and offensive support tame. It can launch a variety of poisonous projectiles that can knock you and your tame out, as well as, help organize your base. This creature should be incredibly useful, if not a necessity, on both PvE and PvP servers. Here are some of the proposed ideas for this stinky boi. General Aesthetics and Utility: The skunks tail goes up in an offensive mode, and goes down for it's passive utility mode (this is meant to free up space with the controls, as well as, serve as a cooldown between the various PvP to PvE utilities) Preferred food is mushrooms, although it is fully omnivorous once tamed Can be seen messing with Beaver dams, tinkering with beehives, or following Roll Rats (if it spawns on a map that has them) to give more life to a mostly passive creature Has decent weight, and similar weight reductions to an Argentavis to provide a land based creature with versatile maneuverability. In the wild, female skunks can be seen running around with one to three babies following close behind PvP Utility: Three different poisonous attacks that utilize torpor inducing items as ammo (Ammo types can include narcoberries, narcotics, bio toxin, and maybe even nameless venom. The quality of the resource can determine how much is needed to perform an attack). A large localized cloud that envelopes the player and immediate surroundings A smaller projectile that can lock on and stick to enemies from a large range A medium sized projectile that creates a cloud wherever it hits at a medium range These attacks can knockout both players and tames They also do percent durability to armor Players are not completely immune to skunk poison using TEK Helmets, Gas Masks, or Hazard Suit Hats, but are dealt reduced torpor Can unbury enemy creatures (assuming you know where it's at) Potentially chokes enemies out similar to the gas veins on Aberration, but for a shorter duration Can deposit crafted item caches that act similar to a buried Purlovia, but decay at a quicker rate, and have a cost (I originally suggested clay and thatch, but I understand clay is not present on The Center, so that may just be hide and mushrooms or something) Has a standard swipe/bite attack Riding a skunk protects the player from gas attacks PvE Utility: Can be set to target a friendly structure and deposit items from its inventory to similar structures within a certain radius (I'm thinking of this as more of an expanded ammo box meets S+ transfer tool, with the ability to set the skunk to a structure such as a generator. The player can then fill the skunk with gasoline, and an icon will pop up above nearby generators that show the quantity of fuel, and will also automatically deposit gasoline to the specified fill limit. Should work with TEK structures too.) Some examples of this may look like: Being able to harvest your own beehives and deposit the honey directly into industrial cooker/s or fridge/s Dumping a newly acquired kit directly into a specific loadout mannequin Loading your skunk up with a bunch of different resources and depositing them into their appropriate dedicated storage in one go Transferring your flak helmets from your crafting area to a named vault in your war room Can loot honey from beehives, resources from Beaver dams, or Roll Rat resources (if it gets added to a map with Roll Rats) with a simple mini-game similar to a quick Stryder hacking. Passive taming/claiming method in which you deposit a preferred food/mushroom into it's wild caches after initiating taming with a pet on a mother skunk. After gaining enough affinity the mother will allow you to adopt one of it's babies (Since ASA is supposed to have wild babies, this may be a neat way to introduce a unique way to get a creature that isn't too grindy or overly complex, whilst highlighting the new wild babies mechanic) Can be used to manually dig up loot that can be found in earthquake rubble without needing an earthquake present if on Aberration The skunk can also gather the unearthed resources when set to wander Vote for a creature that has new utility! Vote for the Skunk!

🕷️Lagonomegopidae🕷️, the 8-legged snapper!♥️
cart400 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The Lagonomegopidae were a now extinct group of spiders that cared for their young by creating a kind of bag of webs on their backs, but which in the ark seem to have suffered a mutation. Wild: The Lagonomegopidae from The center are much bigger than expected and much stronger you can find the females carrying a bag of webs on their back this bag can contain 1 to 3 young usually already well grown but you can find an egg inside but these protective mothers bring with them a greater force in addition to the females you can find males that are the same way as them but much more aggressive being able to spot you from a considerable distance, when they get close they grab you and eat your head if you don't have armor, ja as calmer females tolerate you but attacking them might not be a good idea Domestication method:In order to have your own Lagonomegopidae you will have to find a female with offspring where when you defeat her you will have a 20% chance of leaving an egg as an item which you will have to hatch and when the offspring is born you will have to feed it with bodies of creatures of the same size or smaller that a parasaurolophus after getting its own Lagonomegopidae let's see its distinguishable abilities from male to female. Skills: Male: Grab: With this ability the male of Lagonomegopidae will grab and kill creatures smaller than a parasaur (Note: does not work on creatures larger than a parasaur). Bite: Basic attack with allo-equivalent damage. Sharp Pedipalps: This attack is a slashing jump dealing good damage and bleeding based on the enemy's health. Poison: You can choose whether or not you want the male to inject poison, which slows down your enemy and increases torpor. Skills: Female Lagonomegopidae: Bite: The female attacks faster than the male Lagonomegopidae, with damage still comparable to that of an allosaurus. Grabbing and holding: Unlike the male, the female Lagonomegopidae does not kill enemies, but takes them to a safer place where they feed on them, and can take creatures smaller than a woolly rhino. Wrapping in webs: In this attack, the female throws webs at the enemy through the abdomen, leaving the enemy slowly, where she can grab him and take him, if he is smaller than the woolly rhinoceros. Strong Exoskeleton: This is a buff that occurs when taking the female into a battle with cubs that increases her protection by 40% which makes her a formidable enemy. Dossier: The Lagonomegopidae is an abnormally large spider, but with an incredibly cute face! Returning to the subject, even though it is difficult, there are many tribes that look for this incredible arachnid by their side, they say that in order to tame it, you will have to get an egg and raise it from childhood feeding it animal carcasses this giant is only classified as Lagonomegopidae since its species was never really unraveled but I would put its name as Palpidomorphis gigas or as I like to call cuteness.- 2 replies

ARK Survival Dossier: Pouakai Creature Name: Pouakai (Hieraaetus moorei) Description: pouakai is a formidable avian predator that has adapted to thrive in the swampy regions of ARK. This majestic creature boasts a stunning appearance with feathers specially designed to endure the hostile environment. In some of these legends, pouakai kill and eat humans. The myth may refer to the real but now extinct Haast's eagle: the largest known eagle species Appearance: pouakai is a large bird of prey, standing tall with an impressive wingspan. Its plumage is a striking blend of earthy tones, with dark hues providing excellent camouflage within the swamp. The distinctive feature of the Hast Eagle is its unique feather structure, which hardens over time due to the exposure to the deadly Plant Species X. These reinforced feathers grant it the ability to withstand the toxic effects of the plant while flying through the dense vegetation unharmed. Abilities: Swift Flight: pouakai is an expert flyer, capable of swift and agile movements in the air. It can swiftly traverse the swampy terrain, evading threats and hunting down its prey with precision. Toxic Resistance: Thanks to its hardened feathers, pouakai gains a remarkable resistance to the toxic spores of Plant Species X. This ability enables it to safely fly near or even through areas saturated with these dangerous plants. Diving and Fishing: pouakai has adapted to hunting in the water as well as in the air. With its keen eyesight and precise control during flight, it can spot prey swimming in the swamp's waters and dive in swiftly to snatch them from the surface. Egg Thief: pouakai has developed a unique skill for locating and snatching eggs from hard-to-reach nests. Survivors can command the pouakai to search for nests hidden in precarious locations, such as cliff edges or high tree branches. The creature's natural dexterity allows it to carefully grab eggs without damaging them. Aerial Abduction: In the wild, the pouakai is known for its ability to lift other creatures and survivors into the air. Once airborne, it can carry them to its nest or other vantage points to protect its territory or use them as a bargaining chip against potential threats. Behavior: pouakai are known to be territorial and fiercely protective of their nests and young. While they may seem aloof and graceful in their aerial maneuvers, they can become highly aggressive when provoked or threatened. Taming: Taming a pouakai requires a stealthy approach. Survivors must locate a wild pouakai's nest and carefully obtain an egg without alerting the creature. Once an egg is in their possession, they can incubate it and gain the trust of the newly hatched Eaglet. The taming process involves raising and nurturing the Eaglet, providing it with food and protection until it matures into a loyal companion. Note: Approaching a wild pouakai and stealing its egg should be done with utmost caution. They are known to be formidable foes, and provoking them without proper planning may lead to dire consequences. The Dossier says Hast Eagle because the legend is based from this creature and wildcard requires that it is a real world creature but Poukai sounds way better for ark https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poukai

Anodontosaurus antliam!!!,The unstoppable armor❗❗
cart400 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Unlike its Ankylosaurus relative, this subspecies of the real Anodontosaurus is over 6.5 meters and reaches up to 9 meters, but this is a kind guy. Wild: You will find the Anodontosaurus usually grazing on large plains with its young, it is a gentle giant, but when attacking its young it will be a great opponent that can roll like a great steamroller crushing anyone in the way Method of taming: To have the anodontosaurus antliam as your partner, you will have to separate it from an adult as a puppy and feed it with vegetables or feed, since when it is small, it does not eat simple berries after great care, it will become fond of you and will be a new ally don't worry he will eat berries as an adult. Skills: Compression: This skill can only be used by equipping anodontosaur with a saddle where you roll out and your turn is more spaced but it is faster and tramples smaller creatures causing great damage. Tail Attack: An attack that farms rocks like the ankylosaur and does good damage. Bone break: when holding the tail attack a bar starts to charge and at 100% this attack deals 200% more damage and leaves the creature paralyzed. Bite: Fruit farming attack with little damage. Passive Skills: Thick Armor: This passive brings a 25% damage reduction from close range attacks and 50% damage reduction from explosions and ranged attacks. Grassland Giant: This buff happens when you walk your anodontosaurus in a grassland where it gains 15% more stamina which is its weak point. Dossier: I've seen many tribes looking for this giant of the grasslands for battles and resource farming since its bushy tail and skill combination is quite dangerous, but remember with great armor comes great nerds, this armored giant is commonly found in the beautiful landscapes of The center looking for roots to feed its young but when tamed and incredibly good for its tribe farming like ankylosaurus and defending with the strength of a rex -
**MONKEYDACTYLUS: The Swooping Chemist of Ark!!**
DapperRaptor777 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Introduction The Kunpengopterus, or the "Monkeydactylus", will be the prime stealth bomber of Aberration, and a raider's best aerial friend. Using its corrosive Gel bombs and excellent climbing and gliding abilities to its advantage, survivors bold enough to tame this vibrant pterosaur will possess a lethal weapons valet and explorative superiority over the caves and caverns of Aberration. (more pretty pictures are in the comments section) Table of Contents: Artwork and Introduction Dossier Potential Base Stats and Spawn locations Taming Before the Jump Leap of Faith Abilities and Controls Abilities Climbing Gels Mobile Chemistry Bench Other Bombs/Throwables Other Notes Controls Dossier Common Name: "Monkeydactylus" Species: Kunpengopterus Fortisarmis Time: Mid-Jurassic Diet: Insectivore/Piscivore Temperament: Docile until Provoked Wild The towering luminous trees and cavern cliffs on this ark harbor a strange Pterosaur that resembles Kunpengopterus. The colloquially named 'Monkeydactylus' make themselves at home in this subterranean world. Similar to the Pteranodon in size, the Monkeydactylus have large forelimbs equipped with proportionally larger hands and opposable thumbs that come in handy when climbing and eating small animals. I've noticed that due to the lack of any real 'sky', the air here is far thinner, resulting in large creatures such as Monkeydactylus being unable to fly. However, its arms and wings are still strong enough to maneuver the rocky terrain with ease. Interestingly, I've had the privilege to watch some of the more daring tribespeople attempt to lasso and ride Monkeydactylus straight off seering high cliffs to tame them. Domesticated When tamed, the Monkeydactylus becomes a deadly effective weapons valet for the adventurous survivors of this ark. After eating a sufficient amount of food, Monkeydactylus regurgitates basic saliva that it can spit on foes below. Clever tribespeople has crafted saddles that utilize 'Monkeydactylus Gel' to their maximum potential. 'Pure Gel' acts as a severe narcotic that deals catastrophic damage to unaware or unprepared adversaries below. Meanwhile, 'Diluted Gel' has various defensive properties, like resistance to spores and acids. I thought I saw everything until I witnessed a group of Monkeydactylus dive bomb from the cavern walls, turning the land a putrid purple with goo and smoke! Potential Base Stats and Spawning Health: 350 Stamina: 550 Oxygen: 200 Food: 1000 Weight: 320 Melee Damage: See "Abilities and Controls" for base damage values for the differing attacks Torpidity: 1000 Monkeydactylus would spawn within the luminescent Region (blue zone) in groups of 5-6. In the wild, these gregarious groups of pterosaurs would be seen walking or climbing near high cliffs and plateaus across Aberration. With their wildly vibrant color schemes, they would fit right into the lush background of massive mushroom trees and crystalline cliffs. Taming Taming a Monkeydactylus is all about timing and placement. The unique method of lassoing a Monkeydactylus and hunting with them cowboy-style is dangerous, exhilarating, and the prime opportunity to gain a valuable mid-game ally. Before the jump To approach Monkeydactylus to tame them, survivors need to be wearing a full ghillie suit and have a Monkeydactylus lasso (Above) equipped with them as well. A Monkeydactylus lasso can be crafted by killing a Monkeydactylus (one from a different group beforehand) and harvesting the "Monkeydactylus tail". Which when combined with some fiber and thatch, makes for a strong enough lasso to ride a Monkeydactylus (see "Abilities and Controls" for more on the Monkeydactylus Lasso) *If survivors walk towards a group of Monkeydactylus without both or only one item equipped, the Monkeydactylus will stay neutral towards them. However, they will display that they know of your presence, not allowing you to start the taming process. When close enough, survivors need to lasso the Monkeydactylus! This initiates the next phase of taming. Leap of Faith Upon lassoing your target Monkeydactylus, it'll let out an ear-piercing screech as it runs in panic to jump off the nearest cliff! Here, survivors will have 3-4 minutes to catch as many small animals as humanly possible by hunting across the terrain below! Fish and insects are more effective in taming than other small animals since it's their favorite food! Monkeydactylus' favorite prey: Achatina Araneo Arthropluera Coelacanth Dung beetle Meganuera Piranha Sabertooth Salmon Trilobite While hunting during the 3-4 minute period, survivors can utilize the Monkeydactylus' abilities to climb, soar, and skim-feed to tame it. *Skim-feeding is the action of gliding across bodies of water and having the Monkeydactylus open its mouth until it snaps up a fish. A skim-feeding animation would initiate when you attack the surface of the water, and after a couple of seconds, the Monkeydactylus would be seen snatching up fish to add to its taming bar. If survivors fail to gather enough food to befriend the Monkeydactylus or if it takes too much damage, It'll buck you off and begin to attack you! So, be careful when figuring out where and when you want to tame a Monkeydactylus! Abilities and Controls The Monkeydactylus has multiple abilities that allow survivors to maximize both their PvE and PvP potential. *All the following potential abilities and values could be subject to change to whatever WildCard sees as fit and balanced.* Climbing/Gliding Firstly, the Monkeydactylus would join the Rock Drake as the only other climber in ARK Aberration! The Monkeydactylus would be able to climb all surfaces in Aberration, and combined with its great stamina, allows for long ranged exploration into the caverns of the ARK. Whilst they can both climb effectively, the Monkeydactylus is more fragile and maneuverable in the air, having a dive-bomb akin to the Griffin. The ability to climb and glide across far distances perfectly segways into its truly lethal component, the Gel. Gels The primary thing that sets the Monkeydactylus apart from everything in Aberration is its role as a deadly Bomb valet. Over time, a tamed Monkeydactylus passively produces "Pure Monkeydactylus Gel", a corrosive substance that can be used to severely damage unwary survivors and tames. Using bombs and blasts made from the Gel provide a variety of attacks to utilize while gliding. However, when this Pure Gel is chemically diluted with water (cooking it with water), it turns into "Diluted Monkeydactylus Gel", a substance that provides more defensive properties. Pure Gel (Purple Goo) (the Grimace Shake 😮) Monkeydactylus will produce Pure Gel passively over time as long as they have sufficient amounts of food in their inventory. 5 Pure Gel = 1 Jar of Gel Pure Gel and Jars of Gel can be made for different things (see “Other bombs” section for more) Fish meat and Chitin boost Pure Gel production whilst standard meats and other foodstuffs give no boost. The Monkeydactylus' special attack consists of a Pure Gel blast, dealing heavy damage and decent torpor (though not as concentrated as the bomb)(appears as a large, purple ball of saliva that splats on a large radius on the ground). While most creatures use the stamina stat for their attacks, the Monkeydactylus will use up its food stat when it attacks with its Gel. So, it's crucial to keep the Monkeydactylus supplied with its favored food to replenish lost hunger and recharge for more Gel Blasts. Pure Gel can also be crafted into a throwable smoke bomb that deals heavy torpor, decent damage(not as concentrated as the Pure Gel Blast), and induces temporary blindness in a small radius (appears in the form of a purple cloud) Diluted Gel (Teal Goo) Diluted Gel yields various resistances to different hazards survivors face across the ARK. 5 Diluted Gel = 1 Jar of Diluted Gel When Diluted Gel is applied to armor, it provides a perfect counter against the acidic venom of the Arthropleura and other arthropods (it also makes your armor look slick and shiny as a byproduct) All armor types are available to craft with Diluted Gel within the Monkeydactylus' crafting modules (more on that in the "Mobile Chemistry Bench" section) When Diluted Gel is consumed, it grants you extra resistance against Torpor, Spores, Diseases, and some slight health regeneration, at the price of some of your food stat. Mobile Chemistry Bench The Monkeydactylus saddle comes equipped with a mobile chemistry bench along with a few other craftable items: Other Bombs/throwables When combined with different resources, Monkeydactylus Gel can be crafted into different types of items, all having varying effects. Jar of Pure Gel + Basilisk Scales = Poison Grenade Jar of Diluted Gel + Chitin = Regular Antidote (usable on both tames and survivor, heals diseases) Jar of Pure Gel + Narcoberries/ascerabic Mushrooms = Narcotic Bomb (throwable bomb; deals high amounts of torpor, very little damage) Plant Species Z has good synergy with the other throwable bombs Monkeydactylus have, so it's worth equipping them here. Other notes As an overview, a combination of climbing/gliding, the Gels, and the various throwables the chemistry bench provides, the Monkeydactylus is a versatile explorer and fighter that can be deadly to any foe unprepared to fight it. The Monkeydactylus carves out a niche as the prime stealth bomber of Aberration, using the plethora of bombs it has to wreak havoc on everything below. However, riders need to be careful. The Gliding, while flexible, can leave survivors in vulnerable positions when they finally land on the ground. Because the base movement speed of the Monkeydactylus is average at best(becoming exponentially faster when climbing), Survivors need to accurately aim for where they're going to land when in combat. Monkeydactylus Lasso: Another possible item the Monkeydactylus can be used for is the aforementioned "Monkeydactylus Lasso". While it is required to tame the Monkeydactylus, there are a few options on how the lasso should be handled. Option 1: If only a Survivor is carrying it, the lasso would only be able to be used to tame a Monkeydactylus, and would become more useful while riding a tamed one. While Riding a Monkeydactylus, the lasso could be used to wrangle creatures, just the same as the lasso made from the Equus. Option 2: The Survivor can only use the Lasso strictly for taming the Monkeydactylus Option 1 is a lot more fun, We weren't sure if it would be balanced or not, so this one is in the air. If the Monkeydactylus were integrated into the game, I'd be keener on seeing option 1 become a reality. Controls Space (on the ground near a wall) -> Jump on the nearest surface, if you aren't near a climbable surface, this initiates a standard jump-glide like a Deinonychus Space (whilst climbing) -> Detach off of the attached surface (if high enough, the Monkeydactylus will glide off) W+shift (camera pan down mid-air) -> Dive-bomb for acceleration (remember: you can't fly, use this sparingly and with a far distance between you and the ground) Lmb -> Standard Bite; The Monkeydactylus lunges forward to bite its enemies! Damage dealt: 20 Rmb -> Gel Blast; The Monkeydactylus hawks up a giant Gel blast from its gular pouch! Damage dealt: 45 (uses 150 food)(can be aimed from the player POV) X -> Roar/Taunt -> The Monkeydactylus unleashes a loud screech while having its wings fully stretched out in an intimidating display! With all of that being said, thank you so much for taking the time to read through this! We believe that the Monkeydactylus truly fits right in with the colorful and bizarre world of aberration, and we hope you do too! Special thanks to my good friend @Pine.warbler.paleoart on Instagram for helping make this vision a reality.- 58 replies

While The Abilities Haven't Been Well Thought Out Yet And It Fits With The No-Flyer Map. While I Don't Really Want It To Overshadow The Main Aberration Creatures This Will Be A Mix Of A Good Land Travel Dino As Well As A Good Support Dino. UUUHH You Forgot If It Protects The Player From Radiation?? Due To The Intense Conditions Of The Red And Blue Zone, This Creature Will Definitely Protect You From Radiation (Taking Inspiration From The Magmasaur Saddle w/ It Being Bullet Resistant) Why Should I Upvote Or Even Consider Wanting This Creature In The Game?? Frankly, As A Person, Whos Played Thousands Of Hours Of PvP AND PvE. This Creature Will Have Abilities For PvE AND PvP. Daspletosaurus the desert loving apex predator
fera posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Tired of taming a Rex for bossfights over and over again? Try Daspletosaurus! Dossier: Daspletosaurus inhabits the hottest ecosystem of Ragnarok: the desert. With their feathered bodies heat doesn´t seem to affect them. More than that, I was able to observe Daspletosaurus half burying themselfs in the sand to take a nap several times. Although Daspltosaurus seems to be quite rare, I could once observe the meeting of two Daspletosaurs. The rather violent fight of the two suggest that they are solitary. At first you might not think so, because Daspletosaurus is not much bigger than Allosaurus, but they are the top of the foog chain. Their small size, compared to their cousins the T-Rex, they make up for with a strong biting force! But they are not really aggressive. Their aggressions seems to be directed only against other Daspletosaurus and their favourite food: ceratopsians. Their neutral nature made me wonder if they could be tamed. During my research I made some very interesting discoveries. Daspletosaurus builds its nests in the desert sand by moistening it with its saliva, creating a kind of clay. This prevents the eggs from getting lost in the sand. At night, the mother lies permanently on top of the eggs so that they do not cool down. I have observed how a mother briefly left the nest to drink and this short moment was apparently sufficient for the eggs to become too cold and the embryos died. Unfortunately, this seems to happen frequently, which probably explains their low numbers on the ark. If only there was some way to help them? Taming: The mother defends the eggs during the day to the blood. Strengthened by the sun and the will to protect her children, other dinos are too afraid to get too close. (daspleto plays a threatening gesture, so that the player knows where the border is. If he crosses it, she roars and creates fear like the yuti, only with 100% direct fear) At night, however, the mother sleeps on her clutch. You can gain her trust by sneaking up on her (ghillie) and dropping a piece of high quality meat from a ceratopsian on the ground in front of her and create distance again. Wait a while until she falls asleep again and repeat the whole process. (again, threatening gesture if you get too close. If you are too close, she stands up and attacks you or fearroars you. in both cases she leaves the nest and the eggs lose 1/3 of their durability (3 chances)). As soon as you earn trust, she puts down her head and opens her mouth. In this mouth you put a piece of meat OR water (0 slot) depending on what she asks for. She swallows and does not put her head down until she is hungry again. You do this until she reaches "Taming" 100%. Once that is reached, you be able to get ONE egg of the clutch. Breeding: Daspletos are breedable. But they ONLY mating in the desert at daytime and their eggs only hatch their too. If a superheat appears, the eggs hatching 5 times faster. non neutered Daspletos are aggressive to each other. You have to turn on mating by the female first, than get the male to her. they will mate and the female will scare away the male after. If the female have cooldown and you put a male to her, they will fight. they will also with other females, so no cluster mating! Abilities: Because Daspleto have a very unique taming and breeding process, they gain several strong abilities to make it worthwhile to tame them. - Can dig itself into the sand and thus protects itself and the rider from sandstorms, super heat and other dangerous weather effectsThey can. - can either create clay passively in inventory or must be set to wander, picks up sand from the ground and spits out clay again (like the achatina) - daspletos do not tolerate conspecifics in the same range as gachas. If two Daspletos get too close, they will attack each other (making them uncryobar in combat would be a consideration) - you can neutere a baby to avoid the aggressions to each other, so you will be able to use them in bossfight. Neutered Daspletos will not draw aggro from other Daspletos! - gets a buff for several real live hours when taking a sand bath. The buff gains damage resistance, a small health reg bonus and better stam reg. - Bonus damage against all ceratopsids and conspecifics. - can lie down to heal a bit quiker - dmg and health reg bonus at super heat and/or in desert biomes Attacks: Left click: Bite (higher base dmg than a rex). If you look infront of you it will normaly bite infront. But if you look back Daspleto will turn like Sarco to bite the enemy behind it. Right click: Tail swipe if you look behind or footstomp if you look infront. Both doing a bit less dmg than the bite but provides a high knockback and slow down enemies. X (single click) - dig in. Can move like Basilisk and Players oxygen drains while burrowed. Click x again to splash out of the sand with a anklebite which do a bit less dmg than the bite but sow down enemies and giving them a bleeding debuff. (digging has a cooldown) Also this attack blends riders with sand in their eyes. Comsume a good amount of stamina when moving under the sand! X (holding) - get ready for a sand bath! Get the Sandbath buff ctrl - Females WITH mating cooldown: Fearroar similiar to Yuti fearroar. Non neuteres males get the courage roar instead alt: Crunch. Higher base dmg than the bite and cause a strong bleeding debuff- 1 reply

I am not good at English, so there may be some strange sentences. Excuse me. I propose "Fukuivenator", a dinosaur excavated in Japan. This dinosaur lived in Japan 127 to 115 million years ago, and is now considered a member of the primitive Therizinosaur. It also appears to have been more carnivorous than Therizinosaur. The actual length is said to be about 2.4m, but larger would be nice if adding to the ARK. wild (野生) Fukuivenator occurs mainly in grasslands and forests, but can also appear in snowy fields. They are fully feathered like Yutyrannus, and although larger than Raptor, Therizinosaur is slightly smaller than. However, it attacks from a farther distance than Therizinosaur. However, by equipping ghillie equipment, you can approach them unnoticed. However, if you touch them, they will notice you. In addition, it will be attacked by REX and Yutyrannus, but nullifies the terror roar of Yutyrannus and gains the same effect as the roar of ally Yutyrannus. They can gather the same types of materials as Therizinosaurus, but in lesser quantities. Left click : scratch (左クリック:引っ掻き) It has higher attack power than Therizinosaur. However, there is a certain cooldown time. Thatch C key : Bite (Cキー:噛みつき) You can collect a lot of Fiber, Thatch, Hide s and Pelt. passive ability (パッシブ能力) Fukuivenator, like wild, reduces bullet damage, negates the effects of Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Dart, and cannot be put to sleep by them. Also, it doesn't bleed. In addition, just like in the wild, Yutyrannus terror roars are nullified and allied Yutyrannus roar benefits. Of course they are not afraid. If you think this creature is attractive, please vote for it! Aegisuchus, the Pachycephalosaurus of the Dunes
BetterCallBalls posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Dossier Species: Aegisuchus Witmeri Time: Cenomanuan Diet: Carnivorous Temperament: Extremely Territorial Wild: Aegisuchus is a predator that lives in the few lakes and oasises of Scorched Earth. Its head is made of a nearly impenetrable substance that only the strongest of attacks can get through. And most of its body is also covered into Armor, but it is not as hard as the armor on its head. They battle by using their heads to ram into other creatures, shattering their bones like a bite from a Tyrannosaurus. Domesticated: Domestication of Aegisuchus is incredibly difficult, dangerous and tedious due to its highly territorial nature and other creatures that live near it like Kaprosuchus and the like. Known Information: Aegisuchus is a predator that resides within the lakes and oasis in Scorched Earth. It is an ambush predator, waiting at the bottom of water bodies until prey comes close, snatching them within a second and eating them in a short amount of time. It doesn't attack anything that doesn't invade it's territory or perceive as a threat Description: The Aegisuchus is a very large sized Crocodilyform that lives near and in the few water bodies of Scorched Earth. It can swim swiftly in water. It is very bulky, but also very slow on land. The armor on its head can deflect every projectile (except Dilo Venom, Rockets, Fabricated Sniper Rifle, Plant Species Y, Tek Saddle Projectiles, Astrodelphus Starwing Saddle Projectiles) and is practically immune to damage (95% damage reduction, Gigas, T. Rexes, Basilisk, Arthropleura, Carcharodontosaurus, Wyverns, Dodorex, Enforcer, Fenrir, Megalodon, Griffin, Magmasaur, Managarmr, Mosasaurus, Phoenix, Reaper, Rock Drake, Tek Stryder, Explosives, Tek Saddle Projectiles, Astrodelphus Starwing Saddle Projectiles, Alphas and Boss Creatures, all of which Aegisuchus has a 40% damage reduction to). Its Armor is also quite tough (50% damage reduction, 35% to the creatures mentioned above) Taming Method: The Aegisuchus has a has a taming method slightly similar to the Megachelon. You need to repeatedly damage it's underside using low-damage weapons until the taming bar is full. If it is hit or you stop damaging it, then the taming bar will quickly deplete. Saddle: Its saddle would be unlocked somewhere between level 40-50. The saddle would act as a mortar and pestle Special abilities: 20% Weight reduction for desert materials and minerals Left-click for bite: Basic bite Right-click for headbutt: Deals heavy damage and can stun creatures smaller than a Therizino https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aegisuchus-

Introducing Hallucigenia: The spiked worm. Hallucigenia is an extinct species of worm that lived in the ocean, likely a scavenger and around the size of a human finger. They had several leg like tentacles they used to walk around on similarly to how a Star Fish does and several sets of long spikes protruding from their backs, as well as a head, eyes and a mouth. Idea and basic concept for Hallucigenia in ARK. In ARK I propose like many other creatures that Hallucigenia is given a pretty significant size increase, equivalent to most other shoulder pets. Although unlike most shoulder pets Hallucigenia will be worn like a spikey bandolier, wrapping itself around the players naked torso to protect them. The idea is that once tamed, Hallucigenia and the player will form a symbiotic relationship, with Hallucigenia becoming a shoulder pet that acts like living armour for the player, protecting them in exchange for the player serving as Hallucigenia's never ending food source. I also intend for the existence of Hallucigenia in ARK to help promote the use of a couple of (in my opinion) underused tames while making a few others feel a bit more threatening/dangerous. Where to find Hallucigenia in ARK. Hallucigenia would only be found roaming the deep ocean floors, often nearby Eurypterid or Ammonite spawns and are non hostile to tamed and wild creatures. They would not be able to picked up by any tamed or wild creatures either. Wild Hallucigenia are only hostile to players and will rear up when swimming players get close and latch on to them if they get too close, breaking their chest armour in the process. No worries though.. well some maybe, but this is part of how you will tame Hallucigenia. The taming process. After a wild Hallucigenia has attached itself to you it will start slowly draining your health and possibly stamina and food stats until your inevitable death. And the only way to remove a wild Hallucigenia, is much the same as a leech, by setting yourself on fire.. not easy to do underwater. The player now needs to swim back to the surface before they die and leave the water entirely to start taming Hallucigenia. Players should be unable to mount their tames while a wild Hallucigenia is attached to them (with exception to Diplocaulus) to add an extra level of challenge to the taming process. Once you are back on land Hallucigenia is smart enough to understand that it will suffocate and die if it looses it's new human host, so it stops feeding on the player (draining your health and stamina) and starts using you as an oxygen tank, only draining your food stat from this point on. During this time the player must go around killing other creatures on foot with melee weapons to raise Hallucigenia's taming bar, which will be displayed above the player in 3rd person camera. Hallucigenia's taming affinity however will be based on how much recoil damage the player is able to do by taking damage without dying, this affinity will slowly drop if you remain out of combat for too long, so bring plenty of healing items, food, water and good armour for your remaining slots + repair resources or backups to help you survive this process. This bar will also be displayed above the player while in 3rd person camera. It goes without saying that if you die while taming Hallucigenia, there are no second chances, Hallucigenia will suffocate quickly on land without it's human host and you will most likely have to track down another one. Tamed Hallucigenia behaviour. The same also goes for Hallucigenia that are tamed by players. If the player is killed, knocked out or logged off in water Hallucigenia will sink down as far as it can and will wait for it's player to retrieve it. If the player is killed, knocked out or logged off on land Hallucigenia will drop like any other shoulder pet and will curl up into a spiked ball to protect itself in the location it lands in and will then start suffocating, loosing oxygen over time like any drowning creature or player would. The player must return to their place of death etc and pick up their Hallucigenia before it's low oxygen and health stats drain completely and it dies. Reclaiming Hallucigenia will also mean that the player must now heal it of any damage it sustained from suffocating, so until the creature is fully healed it will feed off the players food stat until it is back to full health similarly to how players regenerate health as well, if the player's food stat is low this could be dangerous and could result in the player starving to death. Breeding and maturation. Underwater breeding. Hallucigenia must be underwater to breed and will produce water only eggs like Squids and Frogs. Symbiotic nature. Because Hallucigenia forms a symbiotic relationship with the player wearing it, it's only possible for one player to raise one Hallucigenia infant at any given time. When picked up, a baby Hallucigenia will attach itself to the player similarly to a leech, minus the horrifying screen blocking effect. During this time the player will be able to wear chest armour, but the Hallucigenia infant will not provide any additional armour nor any recoil damage or other additional benefits like the adult would. Instead the Hallucigenia infant will drain the player's food and water stats at a much increased rate as it grows but will thankfully have a fairly short maturation time, requiring only a few hours of the players time at most (on official rates) to fully mature, so the player will need to keep themselves hydrated and fed during this process. Once fully matured the players armour (if wearing any) will be unequipped automatically and the now adult Hallucigenia will auto equip itself as a shoulder pet. Imprinting. Due to the symbiotic nature, imprinting Hallucigenia will be pretty unique. Prompts and info about what Hallucigenia wants during feeding intervals, as well as the feeding interval timer will be displayed above the player when in 3rd person camera. Running around with Hallucigenia when it want's to go for a walk will trigger the walk requirement successful. When Hallucigenia desires a specific food item, the player themselves must consume that specific item to trigger the feeding requirement successful. (Occasionally Hallucigenia may want you to eat something pretty gross though like raw or spoiled meat so keep that in mind) As for the cuddle requirement, Hallucigenia will just simply want some attention from you and you can provide this by having your player use any Emote while the prompt is active, doing this will trigger the requirement successful. (Important) Food stat misuse. Since Hallucigenia doesn't use it's food stat nor does it's food stat drain like normal creatures it's important that baby Hallucigenia unlike the adults, have a natural health drain while unattached to a player, even when they are in water. This will ensure that negligent players do not end up causing issues with server performance by having tons of Hallucigenia babies piling up at their bases. Baby Hallucigenia must have human player interaction to survive, or they will die fairly quickly after birth due to their low health stats. Living Armour, the pro's. 1. Equipping a tamed Hallucigenia provides the player with living armour, granting the player some additional armour to their total and giving the player the ability to inflict recoil damage on hostile creatures and players that attack you with a melee attack, similarly to a Kentrosaurus. I think the additional armour Hallucigenia provides should probably be based on it's health stat but with a hard cap of somewhere around 200-300 maybe. 2. Due to the protection it's spiked body provides, a player equipped with Hallucigenia also cannot be picked up or grabbed by almost any tamed or wild creatures. This means that players using Hallucigenia, cannot be dismounted either by almost any attack that is considered a "grab" giving them significant protection from enemy fliers and squids, though their mount may still be able to be grabbed. I want to give an exception for armour protected creatures like the Karkinos as well, so Karkinos should still able to "grab" a player wearing a Hallucigenia. Players with Hallucigenia can also still be dismounted by Microraptors as they do not technically "grab" you either, making them a more viable counter to mounted Hallucigenia players in pvp settings. 3. While a tamed Hallucigenia is equipped the player will loose oxygen while swimming at half it's usual rate, the Hallucigenia acting like a sort of Scuba chest piece substitute to some degree allowing players to stay underwater longer than normal but nowhere near as long as they would be able to with actual Scuba. Hallucigenia will also provide some camouflage properties similarly to what a Ghillie chest piece provides although not as much. (These abilities are to make up for the inability to wear chest armour with Hallucigenia, however Hallucigenia will not provide any protection against hot and cold) 4. Hallucigenia may be a tameable deep sea creature but it's utility is universal, Hallucigenia can be transferred to any map, even ones where water is extremely limited like Scorched Earth and still be usable as it's intended to be in those more hostile environments. 5. Uses the player as a food source while equipped thus has no need for typical food items like meat or berries and will not drain feeding trough supplies. While unequipped underwater Hallucigenia uses extremely little energy thus it can survive for extremely long periods of time without feeding. (It doesn't need nor actively use it's own food stat, much like some creatures do not need or use their oxygen stats) 6. Decently short maturation time and fairly easy to imprint by players. Additional benefits could be: Hallucigenia has a small chance of it's recoil damage inflicting a short bleeding effect on tamed and wild creatures, and a greater chance of inflicting a bleeding effect on tamed/wild creatures that attempt to grab it's host player. Likewise Hallucigenia has a small chance of inflicting a Dizzy Spore like effect on human players who try to attack a Hallucigenia equipped player with a melee weapon. The con's of Hallucigenia. Well every creature needs weaknesses and Hallucigenia is no different. 1. First of all I think Hallucigenia should have extremely weak health and oxygen stats, even when bred up in order to ensure there is always a big risk of loosing it should the player die on land while traveling with it.. a fitting punishment that helps promotes the symbiotic relationship you share with this tame. 2. I also think a good trade off for using a tamed Hallucigenia is that while it is equipped, players cannot also equip any chest armour.. you must choose one. This would mostly impact your max armour rating but I think that's a fair trade for the recoil damage Hallucigenia provides. This also means that you will not be able to use Scuba tanks while a Hallucigenia is equipped, thus providing a good reason for Hallucigenia giving it's player reduced oxygen drain while underwater. This inability to use Scuba will also make the Diplocaulus a more appealing and useful tame for those who wish to use Hallucigenia underwater, and will be essential to taming them in the early game while remaining a useful creature for taming them later on as well since they are the only creature a player can still ride while a wild Hallucigenia is attached to them. 3. While Hallucigenia provides some compromise bonuses for the inability to use Ghillie and Scuba chest pieces, as well as the natural armour. It will not provide any protection from the elements, so no hypothermal or hyperthermal protection. 4. Taming Hallucigenia won't be easy due to multiple factors: It can only be found in dangerous deep ocean territory. Wild Hallucigenia will instantly break a player's chest armour when it attaches to them. It must be carried to the surface by a dismounted player while it is draining them, leaving them open to other dangerous ocean threats like Meg's, Squids and Mosa's. Players will be unable to be grabbed by any tamed/wild creatures while a wild Hallucigenia is attached to them, with one exception being Karkinos. Players will be unable to mount any tames while a wild Hallucigenia is attached to them, with one exception being Diplocaulus. Taming efficiency must be raised by actively taking melee damage. Taming progress must be raised by killing wild creature with melee weapons. Wild Hallucigenia attached to players will not provide any armour benefits, leaving you effectively without any chest armour until Hallucigenia is tamed or you are killed. Taming Hallucigenia could potentially drain significant amounts of food and healing items, so be prepared. While taming Hallucigenia other annoying threats like Ichthyornis and Pegomastax stealing your weapons, food or healing items would be significantly higher and could be the deciding factor in your failure. 5. A single player can only raise one Hallucigenia baby at a time due to unique maturation mechanics. 6. Popular mod benefits like the S+/SS Nanny can only auto imprint Hallucigenia babies if the player stays within range of them. Additional cons could be: Hallucigenia dislikes hot environments like deserts and thus will also drain the players water stat to hydrate itself while in those biomes. Hallucigenia is terrified of fire and if the player is set on fire while below a certain HP threshold, Hallucigenia will be forcibly dismounted from the player. This will make Fire Wyverns, the Dragon boss and flame based weaponry more dangerous to players using Hallucigenia. Thank you for your consideration. Well, that's my more fleshed out idea for this creature submission anyway. I really want some kind of water based creature to win one of these competitions and this was probably the most unknown and unusual creature I could think of to submit. Thanks to anyone and everyone who votes for it and if you've never heard of Hallucigenia before, say Hello to this strange little guy in the picture attached. (Credit to the artist who made this image) We didn't make it last time but new submission contest means we get another shot to put this unique and funky little worm into ARK. Thanks to everyone who voted for this creature in the last contest, hopefully we'll get more votes this time

Zanabazar: The Trapper and Defender Companion
Raizeph posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Brief Gameplay Description: The Zana is a dino that can help you tame other dinos. It looks similar to a Deinonychus but isn't rideable. It can be utilized as a combat and taming companion to: Pin small and medium dinos, including low to the ground flyers with the Zanas impressive jump, similar to a bolo or bear trap, or, with a pack of Zanas, to even Pin large dinos: Retrieve small dinos and place them where you want them or kill them while the Zana holds them, which is perfect for snatching the Pegomastax that just robbed you: Distract dinos by drawing their aggro. With a large damage mitigation while using this ability, the Zana can draw the attention of larger dinos so you can knock them out or keep them away from things you want to keep safe. There is a pack bonus for this ability that even further decreases damage taken while Distracting. and Care for current unconscious dinos that you're trying to tame by defending them or drawing the attention of predators: The Zana can be equipped with a small Utility Pouch that can hold food to feed unconscious dinos at certain intervals or narcoberries to keep them unconscious. Equipping narcoberries also makes the Zana's claw attacks deal torpor damage. You tame it by getting one's attention and trapping other dinos. As it watches you, it learns and will attempt to trap dinos on its own and you give it treats throughout the process. Once it has learned how to trap, it is your companion. Brief Real Life Description: Zanabazar (scientifically named "Zanabazar Jr."), or as I'll be referring to it from this point forward, Zana, is thought to be a derived member of the troodontid family from the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia, roaming the Gobi Desert along with the likes of the Velociraptor, Ankylosaurus, and Oviraptor. Zana, like many other troodontids had a large brain for its size in comparison to other dinos, and with it being the 2nd largest of the troodontid family, it may have been one of the smartest of them all! It stood about 4 feet (1.2 meters) at the shoulder and was about 7 feet (2.1 meters) long from head to tail. Not much else is known about Zana though, as few fossils have been found. To read about it, here is the Wikipedia entry for the Zana. This contains just about all of the information that other websites do, so I feel that one article is probably enough. Wikipedia: Zanabazar_junior If you'd like to read about Zana in more detail, I've expanded on the gameplay mechanics below. Showcase Abilities: Zana's abilities would be able to employ and show off the new pathfinding capabilities of the creatures of Ark in the new update, both in its tamed form, such as Retrieving and Distracting targets, as well as the new, unique taming method! Special Abilities: As the title might suggest, Zana would be a useful companion for training. Similar to how some herding dogs are now, such as the notoriously intelligent border collie, Zana would aid its master in the taming process by trapping potential prey. Zana can be sent to Pin a dino that is small or medium. This will immobilize the target dino similar to how a bola or bear trap would. Low flying birds may even be options as Zana has quite the jump! Potential dinos Zana could Pin may include, Parasaur, Raptor, Triceratops, Direbear, Pteranodon, and perhaps even Thylacoleo. Zana could also be able to pin players that are on foot or even knock them off of a land dino! Zana can also be sent to Retrieve. This may include only small dinos such as Otters, Jerboa, Pegomastax, and even low-flying Ichthyornis! When set to do so, Zana will chase after the targeted dino, and pick it up to be returned to the player. Zana will hold the dino for its master until told to Release it. This would allow players to collect stolen items from a Pegomastax or just aid in moving smaller dinos into a taming pen. Another ability Zana might have is the ability to Care for other dinos. When given the proper food, Zana can be sent to deliver that food to unconscious creatures and even Protect them from potential threats by killing, Pinning, or Distracting potential threats. Lastly, Zana can be sent to Distract certain dinos. This can be done to larger dinos that a player would like to target for tranquilization. Zana will draw the aggression of the target and use evasive maneuvers to avoid attack while keeping the dino in the same place and not attacking its master. One potential idea is that putting Narcoberries in the Zana's inventory will cause its attacks to deal very minor torpor damage. This might be negligible to larger dinos but could be mildly useful on smaller prey. The real point of this ability is not necessarily to be a torpor dealing machine, but rather serve as a kind of "trap" for the target dino. It could also be effective if you want aggressive dinos to be deterred from attacking other tames you are working on in the area. Interestingly, having multiple Zanas could maybe increase its potential for certain abilities. Though, one Zana certainly couldn't Pin a Carnotaurus, maybe 2 or 3 Zanas could. And maybe 5 or 6 of them could Pin a Rex! Don't worry if you don't quite have enough Zanas to take on a certain dino though, as working as a group can increase their effectiveness at avoiding damage while Distracting. Unfortunately, I'm not sure they're quite coordinated enough to team-lift big dinos, so the Retrieve ability is probably not affected by pack numbers haha! Taming: Zana has a unique taming method that mimics the art of training. As a highly intelligent creature, Zana enjoys to learn. So to tame one, place raw prime meat or kibble in your last quick slot. This will prevent Zana from Aggro-ing to you. Once you have the attention of a Zana, it will keep its distance but watch you. Now you must train it to trap dinos! Use bolos, bear traps, or other officially created trap items on other dinos. After a few examples, the Zana will approach you and you'll feed the Zana a piece of raw prime meat or kibble. After being fed it will run back and create distance again but continue watching you. Keep using traps until Zana approaches to be fed again. Repeat this process. Once taming is almost complete, the final time that Zana approaches you to be fed, it will eat and then run away (to the nearest Pin-able dino). Follow it and you'll find that it is trying to show you what it has learned. Watch Zana Pin another dino and feed it once more. This will complete the taming process! Appearance: The in game appearance of Zana would likely be similar in size and shape to Deinonychus. It would be a bit more slender and would have less pronounced feathering, though the colors could still be just as beautiful and vibrant as those of the Deinonychus. It would not have a saddle but it could have a small inventory pouch that can hold food or narcoberries for the aforementioned torpor attack. With it's small size, Zana may not be a rideable mount at all, but would be far more useful when used as a companion and teammate anyway. Conclusion: Adding a creature that can intelligently assist with the taming process could add a unique and interesting aspect to gameplay. From the unique taming method, that pays homage to the creatures high intellect, to the assistive abilities that showcase the improved gameplay mechanics and the Zana's troodontid lineage, I believe Zanabazar would be the perfect dino to add to the sands of Scorched Earth! -
The Nodosaurus isn't anything like it's cousin the Ankylosaurus, Nodosaurus live in a massive heard from between 10 and 20 individuals and their young and being slightly larger than a morellatops. These animals are highly territorial and will attack anything that breathes including other herbivores. Nodosaurus has a pretty nasty bite for a herbivore that can lead to a bacterial infection that causes mass blood loss and what ever unfortunate creature or survivor to rot from the inside out if bitten enough and it is heavily contagious from human to human; to lessen and in some cases cure this infection you must eat a lot of cactus sap lesser antidote also cures the infection and can prevent another infection within 60s. It's armored plates and body can be arranged in a way that can prevent a considerable amount of arrows bullets from penetrating its skin reflecting it back to any agresser although this comes with a drawback, it exposes it's weak underbelly and explosives are a perfect way to counter this defense. Nodosaurus's tail is heavily spiked and is its main weapon dealing massive damage to anything including doing minor damage to stone and adobe structures. This dino is a perfect for harvesting wood, berries and sand reducing weigh on sand by 70% with a saddle. To tame this creature you must find their nesting grounds which can be found most commonly in the dunes of Scorched Earth and rarely in the mountains and canyons and you must search for an egg which are found in barrows made of clay, sand, stone, and poop sand similar to some iguanas or you can steal a baby nodosaurus; keep in mind these herbivores are highly aggressive and territorial and will do anything to protect their young and herd.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nodosaurus
