M Mantis Shrimp the Element Bully Common Name: Mantis Shrimp Species: Aeschronectida Time: Carboniferous Diet: Piscivore/Geophagia (minerals like element) Temperament: Aggressive Wild: The Mantis Shrimp, Aeschronectida, is one of the most formidable predators in the ocean. Found in the dark depths at the bottom of the seas, Mantis Shrimp are equipped with a unique pair of club-like appendages capable of striking with the force of a bullet. These strikes are so powerful that they can shatter shells and even bones, making them a terror for other creatures. Mantis Shrimps are incredibly territorial and aggressive, attacking anything that comes too close. With their impressive speed and strength, they are nearly impossible to approach without sustaining injuries. However, survivors speak of the dazzling colors they display, which help to lure in their prey and give them a false sense of security before striking. Domesticated: Taming a Mantis Shrimp has long been deemed impossible by the tribes due to its violent nature and incredible strength. However, the use of Element as a taming method has changed the tide. When Element is detected the Mantis Shrimp will not wait to be hand fed like other creatures. It will knock out who ever has it and forcibly take its fill. Once tamed, the Mantis Shrimp can be a lethal companion. Its powerful strikes can break even the toughest armor and structures. Its small size and agility allow it to evade attacks and strike with precision, making it invaluable for underwater combat and exploration. Tamed Mantis Shrimp also allows amazing sea travel. Survivors can grip the handrails on the saddle and be guided through the waters with ease. They can use their claws to strike creatures as large as a megalodon inflicting copious amounts of torpor. Mantis Shrimp can harvest resources from hard-shelled and armored creatures, and even rocks with ease; thanks to its club-like appendages. Survivors who venture into the deep oceans often bring their Mantis Shrimp along to protect them from the dangers lurking below. Additionally, tamed Aeschronectida seem to have a knack for grinding down hard element and element shards into dust although not without skimming a little off the top. Abilities: · Resource Harvesting: Its powerful appendages can harvest resources from hard surfaces like rocks and the shells of other creatures, yielding increased resources from targets such as element rocks, armored/shelled creatures, and obsidian. • Speed Burst: The Mantis Shrimp can dart forward with unexpected and blinding speed while underwater, closing gaps in an instant. • Sonic Punch: The Mantis Shrimp delivers a powerful punch, capable of breaking armors and structures. This ability has a cooldown and can also stun enemies much larger than themselves. Even the mighty Tuso and Giga take pause when struck by these mighty claws. • Sonic Shockwave: While underwater the Mantis Shrimp can create a concussive shockwave that ripples through the water stunning smaller creatures and inducing torpor. • Element Grinding: Tamed Mantis Shrimp can function as a mobile grinder, but only for element and element shards. They can turn any shards and hard element into dust while consuming 10% of the expected dust as a reward, making it easier for transfer between servers. Taming Method: • Preferred Taming Food: Element byproducts, raw fish meat, or Chitin (be aware that raw fish and chitin would be akin to taming a Rock Elemental with Stone) The Mantis Shrimp cannot be knocked out through conventional means due to its hard exoskeleton and rapid recovery. Instead, survivors must passively feed it Element, Element Shards, Element Dust, or Chitin to tame it. The process is dangerous, as the creature remains hostile until enough food has been consumed. The Mantis Shrimp will only eat out of the inventory of an unconscious party whether it be tame or survivor. Survivors should be weary if they choose to be the bait though. One hit from the Mantis Shrimps sonic punch can shatter most armors and scuba gears. Roles: • Underwater Combat: The Mantis Shrimp is a fast and powerful underwater fighter, able to deal devastating damage with its Sonic Punch. While they lose a ton of their lateral mobility on land, they are still relatively fast-moving forwards and backwards. The danger factor does not decrease though and are able to deal damage and break enemy ranks with its lightning-fast strikes. • Resource Collector: Ideal for gathering resources from rock formations and the shells of creatures like trilobites, rock elementals, and other armored/shelled creatures. • Defense: Its powerful punch can deter attackers and break through armored creatures and survivors, making it a strong defensive mount. Notes: • The Mantis Shrimp’s Sonic Punch is so powerful that it can damage underwater structures and even knock back larger creatures. • While powerful, the Mantis Shrimp requires a skilled survivor to tame. Anything knocked out underwater will be at the mercy of the sea. Mantis Shrimp packs a massive punch but still falls prey to large creatures of the deep. They also attract Eurypterid with their bright colors, and have even been known to prey on each other... -
ARK: Survival Ascended - Dossier Species: Serpentavis dominari Common Name: Sirendactyl Time Period: Cretaceous (Highly Evolved Variant) Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Manipulative Wild: Soaring through the skies of the ARK with an eerie, melodic call, Sirendactyl is an enigmatic and highly intelligent pterosaur with an uncanny ability to influence the minds of creatures around it. Survivors who have encountered wild Sirendactyls report bizarre and unexplained behavior from nearby dinosaurs, as if the beast itself were commanding them. Sirendactyl does not attack directly unless provoked. Instead, it emits a hypnotic frequency that can pacify aggressive creatures or send them into a confused frenzy. Even apex predators seem hesitant to engage when a Sirendactyl is near, suggesting an unseen power at work. Domesticated:Those who manage to tame a Sirendactyl gain access to one of the most powerful non-combat abilities on the ARK. Acting as a masterful manipulator of wild creatures, Sirendactyl can significantly aid in taming efforts, making it an indispensable companion for any survivor looking to build a formidable army. Abilities & Uses: Siren’s Call: Emits a specialized frequency that calms aggressive creatures, temporarily making them non-hostile and easier to approach for taming. Commanding Echo: Projects a sonic wave that forces neutral creatures into a docile state, preventing them from fleeing when a survivor attempts to tame them. Predator’s Lullaby: Induces a trance-like state in apex predators, reducing their torpor resistance and increasing the effectiveness of tranquilizers. Taming Pulse: Boosts the taming efficiency of any nearby creature currently being tamed, reducing food consumption and speeding up the process. Confusion Screech: A high-pitched sonic burst that disorients enemy dinosaurs and players, causing them to temporarily attack at random or flee. Mind Link: Creates a brief mental connection with an untamed creature, allowing the survivor to give it a single command, such as “Stay,” “Follow,” or “Flee.” With the ability to influence creatures on an unprecedented scale, Sirendactyl is a must-have for any survivor looking to turn the wilds of the ARK into a more controlled and predictable environment. Taming Method: Taming a Sirendactyl requires cunning and strategy. Unlike traditional creatures, it does not respond to tranquilizers or food offerings. Instead, survivors must mimic its calls using crafted Harmonic Flutes and complete a short series of sound-based puzzles to prove their worth. Only those who can match its melodies will earn its trust. Preferred food includes Fish Meat and Prime Fish Meat, which can be obtained from deep-sea hunting expeditions.

So after taking a break i returned to ASA and wanted to tame the Ceratosaurus. After a killingspree to get the Cerato Venom Spines i managed to make 10 Hemaglobin Cocktails. Finding a 150 Ceratosaurus i thought nice, lets give it a try. But Seriously Wildcard, 1 in words ONE Hemaglobin Coctail gives just 2% Drunk? Lets do some Math: 1 Hemaglobin Coctail = 15 Bloodpacks 10 Narcotics 10 Cerato Venom Spine One Hemaglobin Cocktail gives 2% Drunk = 50 Hemaglobin Cocktails to get 100% = 50 x 15 Blodpacks = 750 Bloodpacks 50 x 10 Narcotics = 500 Narcotics 50 x 10 Cerato Venom Spine = 500 Cerato Venom Spine One killed Ceratosaurus give 1-3 (3 was the most i got) Cerato Venom Spine. Lets take an average of 2 and you need to kill 250 +/- a few Ceratosaurus to get 500 Spines, Not to talk about the 750 Bloodpacks what you didnt even need for a max. level Bloodstalker. And no, the amount of getting drunk didnt increased with more Cocktails. With the 10 Cocktails i didnt got it over 20% drunk. Thats Insane. There are way better and stronger creatures much easier to tame. Thats definetly not worth it.

There is a bug while taming these. They get stuck in a loop and refuse to dash making it impossible to tame. Either make them immediately get height when they start their attack or make it so we can flash them even when they ground attack. It really stinks when you hunt for what you need just to find out you can never obtain the tame; really no excuse.

I played ASE on XBox for years until it deleted my save several months ago. I have no interest in public/official servers. I wanted to setup my own server. But, with ASA blocking console users from self-hosted servers and forcing them to pay crazy Nitrado prices, I thought my Ark days were done. But, I recently caved and gave Ark Mobile a try. I'm confused about kibble and have two questions: The wiki says a Rex wants Pulmonoscorpius Egg kibble on mobile. The wiki says that is a "regular" kibble. So, can I craft and use the standard regular kibble instead and still get the best Rex tame? Also, on mobile, do higher quality kibbles work the same as an animal's preferred kibble (like they do on non-mobile)? Meaning, I could just use standard exceptional or extroadinary kibble as well?
