  1. Arachnophobes beware, for the Mongolarachne is here! Coming from the Middle Jurassic time period, the Mongolarachne has gone through many classifications since its first discovery in 2013 as only two fossils of the animal have been discovered. The general consensus though is that the “Mongo” could be a stem-orbicularian meaning that the webs it would weave are closely resembling the orb webs certain modern spiders can weave. They have been noted on having a cribellum which would have allowed them to weave silk that is, although fine, could be weak when slack but when prey is caught it could harden and stick to any prey caught in the webs as modern spiders with a cribellum operate. One of the more fascinating theories about the Mongo is that it could potentially also be a Deinopidae or a “net casting spider” also meaning that it is the latest Deinopidae ever discovered! Net casting spiders will weave a net out of their silk and after securing the net to their front legs, will launch themselves at prey before chowing down. Dossier: Wild: Today I witnessed a truly horrifying sight. The Mongolarachne. As I was out surveying, I nearly became this massive beast’s next meal as I unknowingly wandered into one of its web traps it had lain under the tree it was currently descending from. I could not even scream before its web net was around me but before the silk hardened, I was able to grab my gun. My bullets had next to no effect but by pure luck my flashlight scared it away, leaving it dazed enough for me to escape. Interestingly it showed similar signs to that of a seizure for a few seconds before climbing back up its tree. Domesticated: I have yet to see anyone successfully tame a Mongolarachne, but I do believe that taming is possible as it shows heightened levels of intelligence. My theory stems from its willingness to recruit other creatures of this ark as they can both mutually benefit from the relationship, mostly to make getting a meal easier. I suspect that with a combination of certain bright lights as well as the direct puncture of the underbelly with any number of narcotic weaponries, the rapid assault on its nervous system should send it in a shock in which it could then be nursed back to health. Other ways of overloading the nervous system may be possible but I’m not going to risk my hide to test what does and doesn’t set it off. When tamed I suspect the Mongolarachne could be extremely useful for the taming of many of the creatures around the ark as well as a safe alternative to help bring down some of the more dangerous ones. Taming: One of the main ways to “stun” a Mongo is to use bright lights head on, as many Deinopidae (net casting spiders) are very susceptible to light and the Mongo will rear back exposing its underbelly where tranqs can be shot at into it to start knocking it out. In a lore sense most spiders have a large amount of their nervous system along their underbellies, so by flashing it, it overloads the nervous system allowing it to then be affected by narcotics. This will take several stuns to pull off as well as lots of tranqs as they will have a high torpor drain when not stunned, akin to a Giga’s torpor drain and it will have a very large torpor pool. The Mongo will gain a buff where it cannot be stunned until a timer runs out so it will not be stun locked, real world Deinopidae are able to regrow burnt optical organs after a period of time. Saddle: Driver is sat on top of the Mongo’s head, with two passengers along the side of the head/main body to give them sightlines on things that are caught in the net. Countermeasures: · Weak to bright sudden lights: Bright lights stun Mongos for an increased time, with them exposing their underbellies so that extra damage and torpidity can be done. Damage to the underbelly can only be done by projectiles, players with melee weapons, small to medium sized tames, bleed can be applied to underbelly. (Lights include Flashlight, Electric Prod, Z fruit, Charge Lantern) · Placed Charge lanterns and Light Pets can provide a nice deterrent from prowling Mongos · Other possible stuns: Both Pachyrhinosaurus scents at once, plant x + plant y at once, Many narcotic traps at once · Immobile while pounced: While pounced on prey the Mongo cannot move and will not be able to until the net is broken, the Mongo releases the net, or the prey is eaten · Stamina drain while pounced: In order to keep something captured both immobile and defended a constant stream of fresh webbing is required to keep the net in top shape. The Mongo constantly produces a stream of fresh webbing and gets tired over time doing so if the prey is awake. Knocked out creatures will not constantly drain stamina as they are no longer fighting against the webbing. · Web Net cooldown: A Mongo both tame and wild will have a cooldown before it can weave another web net onto its front legs so as to not allow consecutive pounce attempts. · Slow speed: The Mongo is slow moving in both walking and sprinting with its main form of movement being large jumps allowing for quick getaways as long as you watch where the Mongo is launching itself · Very slow swim speed, can be attacked from below for extra damage in water · Affected by Large Bear Traps (not plant y, plant y only helps stun not root) Perks: · High health pool · Large stamina pool · High weight capacity · Far jumps · Can climb · Takes reduced damage from all sources when not stunned and not hit in the underbelly (high defense) · No fall damage · Has tough plated chitin to reduce fire/megatherium bug bonus damage to normal · Immune to bleed when not attacking underbelly · Immune to Shadowmane poison, Cnidaria and Electrophorus shock · Immune to Freeze, both Mana AND Snow Owl (its fuzzy) Symbiotic Relationships: · Beelzebufo: Species of Tarantulas have been seen using frogs to guard their eggs from bugs that want a quick snack and in return protect the frog from its predators with its size. The Beelzebufo could sit on top of the back like the babies can and could obtain cementing paste at an increased rate. It could be a way for the Beel to get free food while protecting the main course the Mongo is trying to eat without any annoying Meganura getting at it first · Araneo: Could help reduce the amount of time the spider silk produces in the Mongo's inventory for each Araneo on the back and could reduce the time the Mongo takes to weave bigger webs, but only SLIGHTLY less · Bloodstalkers: Could help reduce the stamina drain per Bloodstalker on prey a Mongo is holding down as they could help lighten the load, and help fight against the creature trying to escape Buffs would be shown with a percentage increase/decrease for the respective change Appearance: Male Mongos will be slimmer than female Mongos but the same size. The Mongo will be based mostly off a Tarantula with it being a bigger, thicker build than the other spiders of Ark. It will have a fuzzy coat like a Tarantula. It will have patterning and spikes like many Orb Weavers have. Its eyes will resemble that of a jumping spider but still have the Chelicerae(jaws) of a Tarantula. Its front two(2) legs will be elongated like the fossil and Deinopidae arachnids have but will be slightly slimmer than its other six(6) legs but still retain the fuzzy look. While weaving a web net before a pounce you can see a noticeable change in the Mongos movement where the start of the charge will be a slow movement of the front legs and as the size of the web net increases the faster the legs will move to help players visualize what stage the net is in. While in the web trap laying mode the spines at the back of the abdomen around the Cribellum will flash the color that they are to indicate to players that the Mongo is about to lay traps in the area. Hunting: A wild Mongo will lay down traps surrounding the area as it wanders, waiting for something to trip the web where it will then aggro onto the trapped entity and weave a web to then pounce on it. Wild wandering Mongos will lay up to three(3) web traps on the ground. If flying or gliding in the vicinity of one it will attempt to launch itself into the air, where quick reactions to dodge the incoming giant will determine whether you are caught or not. It will also attempt the pounce on gliding tames but their speed should take you out of range before they are able to pounce on you but be careful not to land near it. It will always try to trap its prey first as being an intelligent being it knows its chances of a meal are higher when the odds are in its favor but if anything happens to escape it will chase and bite at entities until it is ready to weave another net. They can also be found on redwood trees and cliffs with them having one(1) web trap directly under the surface they are on. The Pounce: When a wild Mongo senses a web trap has caught something or something in the air catches its eye it will weave a web net around its front elongated legs where it will create the right size net and then launch itself in the direction of the entity. An entity caught by the pounce will slowly be wrapped up by the Mongo where it will then start biting into whatever it caught dealing high damage as well as torpidity. Captured entities can still perform attacks for a time before the net hardens as most webs produced from a spider with a cribellum have the ability to harden and dry out after touching prey for a time. In this brief time a player can stun the Mongo to instantly break out of any net/web trap they or any creature are stuck in, freeing them, and giving them time to escape while the Mongo pursues until outran. A mounted creature that is wrapped in a net before it hardens can be dismounted but if the creature is not dismounted before the net hardens the rider loses the ability to do any actions or be interacted with by any outside force. A mounted creature will be attacked first without the rider being attacked but if the mount is killed the rider will be freed to flee. A mounted creature that is in a net cannot do actions for a time that starts when the Mongo has fully webbed the tame, when the timer runs out the rider can then attack to try to break the web and rapidly decrease the Mongo’s stamina. When a Mongo’s stamina is depleted, any entity caught in the web net is freed. Mounted creatures will not be targeted by creatures that would aggro to it while caught in a Mongo web so as to not have a successful escape met by a group of predators to immediately chow down on you and your tame. Players and creatures that escape the Mongo’s web are given the “Terrifying Presence” buff to signify the nullification of aggro. A Mongo will raise its head slightly if it is pounced which can protect the rider from attacks from the front. The Mongo can utilize its webs differently depending on the drag weight of the creature with a drag weight of 600 being the largest a Mongo can successfully pounce and wrap up. Web Trap: Functioning similar to a small/large bear trap or Y plant trap, any creature that walks over the web trap will be stuck for a time with the ability to break out of the web with enough attack actions. If pounced while stuck in a web trap the Mongo will be able to wrap up a creature faster than it would if it was pounced on without a web trap. For creatures the Mongo cannot tie down in its grasp, creatures that walk on web traps have reduced movement speed for a short time period. As it is a spider web it will not have a decomposition timer like a Y plant trap does, but a trap spotted before something is caught in it can be broken easily. Wild Mongos will approach the area of a broken web trap and will eventually re-lay more traps in the area as it wanders. Food Chain: The Mongo is an apex of sorts, preferring forests and canyon areas that prefer to lie in wait for prey to wander into web traps rather than outright pouncing on everything in sight, with the exception of flying and gliding entities. They will attack and pounce on everything caught in web traps even Rexes. Bigger predators such as Rexes and Gigas can aggro onto the Mongo. Maneuverability: The Mongo would be about the same speed as a Theri and much in the same aspect as a Theri, it will be able to outlast other large tames in a race but can still be run down if caution is not taken. The Mongo is able to climb as well as jump very high like a Karkinos or Reaper giving it very good maneuverability. PvE Usage: A tamed Mongo can be manually made to start weaving a net with a crosshair indicating the direction the spider will pounce, no aim assist will be added like with raptors as the Mongo’s size will give it a large capturing radius. With the two seats on the side of the Mongo’s saddle, two passengers will be able to use ranged weaponry on whatever the Mongo has trapped in the net allowing for easy taming with the ability of the hardened net to prevent wild dino damage to be done to the captured creature as well as having smaller prey animals not be hunted by predators while caught in a Mongo’s net, preventing any reduction in taming effectiveness. As this is a tame and not a building, this living trap can help tame creatures in areas where other tribes’ structures are located. Structures cannot be placed near a Mongos legs if something is caught. PvP Usage: In tribe fights, a Mongo with enough silk in its inventory can produce a minefield of web traps that will stop anything that passes over it in its tracks, leaving things an easy target for attack. With its ability to fully capture a tame, it can force enemies to have to focus on freeing their comrade giving more opportunities to attack, with the Mongo able to retreat to the backlines to heal with its large jump. If not on the frontlines trapping enemy tames, the Mongo could use its bulky defense to defend the flanks and rear of your tribe by setting traps around your friends and with its damage reduction it is able to stall out most high damage dealing dinos giving your friends time to react to the surprise threat. The Mongo will also have the ability to pry open dino and behemoth gates, leaving them “webbed open” for a brief time to make entering a base’s defense easier. The webbing on the door is set on a timer and cannot be interacted with by either parties. Webbed open gates when freed will have to be manually closed by the owner. Breeding: Mongos are able to breed naturally and will produce an egg akin to the Araneo and Mantis eggs. Unlike most spiders the females will NOT eat the male after breeding. After the egg is hatched the baby Mongo will have the option to sit on a mother spider to rest on the abdomen with a maximum of three baby Mongos being able to be sat like a Maewing and fed until Juvenile where they are separated. Baby Mongos while on a mother’s back will have increased imprint done to it. (Placeholder risk for breeding: Males will have to shed their exoskeleton to regrow their “bits” leaving them knocked out with their damage reduction buff removed and having extra damage and debuffs able to be applied anywhere.) Incubation and Maturation: An infant Mongo’s life cycle will take around over three(3) days on 1x including incubation and maturation Imprint: On 1x, imprints will count for 20% of the bar, with a baby on a mother’s back gaining 40% for an imprint. Baby Mongos on a mother’s back will only ask to be fed raw and cooked prime, raw and cooked mutton, cooked prime meat jerky, Superior kibble, narcotic, or biotoxin. If a baby Mongo is removed from the back of the mother, the extra buff will not be applied upon the feeding of the baby as to not allow rerolls for easier to obtain items. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THOSE INTERESTED Concept: While the real-world Mongo is only a few inches in length, Ark is not afraid to upscale creatures, so I say why not go all out and have the Ark Mongo be a bit bigger than a Rex. Its appearance would take from a mix of real-world spiders including Tarantulas, Orb Weavers and others, while also retaining the elongated front legs from their fossils. Their main form of attack would be to weave a web net around their two front legs before doing a pounce not unlike that of the Raptor where it would then wrap the prey up before starting to attack. The Mongo would be a very high health, high damage creature with a large stamina pool but slow movement speed. To add a bit more utility and to help its lack of speed, the Mongo would be able to set web traps on the ground, acting like a bear trap or a Plant Y trap. In the wild it could leave a few in the area it is spawned in, and if a creature steps in the web, it is stuck but has the ability to attack out of the web such as players are able to break out of a Bloodstalker string before the web hardens. While tamed the Mongo could also passively generate spider webbing in its inventory which could be used as a replacement for fiber, but at certain thresholds it could craft and place the web traps with a player also being able to take it out of the Mongo’s inventory and place it themselves. For the web net, it could weave different sizes depending on how long the action key for the weaving is held going from small, medium, large, and extra-large, with the small web net being able to capture players and player sized tames. Like the Rhyniognatha, the size of the web woven could affect creatures of different drag weights with the extra-large webs being able to hold down Spinos and Reapers and other similar drag weight creatures. While pounced on a creature the Mongo is immobile and will not attack the webbed creature unless manually done by the rider or set on aggressive. The saddle of the Mongo will hold three players with the driver set on the top of the head and the other two along the sides of the torso so that they are able to attack webbed entities from range. It can also climb walls. The idea: As both a PvP and PvE player and mostly PvE, one of the staple aspects of progressing through the game is the taming of new dinos. In PvP we are able to pick up creatures and drop them into traps in order to make the taming process easier. In PvE however the ability to move a creature into a trap in such a way is disabled, so my main focus was to create a perfect taming companion tame to help offset the inability of PvE players to easily trap dinos to tame, while also adding enough utility as to not have it be outclassed by other tames in PvP and to bring something unique to Ark. For PvP, there are so many really good offensive tames where there are little to no counters to them, with the skill set that comes with the Mongo, it is a high skill counter to many of Ark’s more annoying metas while not being an outright damage steamroller as with its many strengths it also has many weaknesses that can be exploited. Terrifying Presence (“Something horrible is near”): The buff given to any entity that is pounced on by a Mongo, a timer is started when an entity escapes the pounce webbing. Prevents creatures below a drag weight of 600 and NOT on the aggro list of the Mongo from being aggro’d to the entity. Radiation: The Mongo WILL be hurt by radiation if brought to Aberration or any other area with a similar effect. Interactions with Reapers and Reaper Queens: Reapers can be fully tied down by Mongos but when damaged the Reaper’s acid blood can damage the web even when hardened, allowing for an easier but not free kill. A “Melting” bar will appear and fill as the trapped Reaper takes damage, when full the Reaper escapes. Reaper Queens cannot be fully tied down and are the one of the biggest creatures a Mongo can web down, they are able to bite, shoot from the tail and impregnate when health is low enough. Reaper Queens cannot move or tail spin while in webs. Reaper Queens can be damaged without risk of breaking the webs, but in return Reaper Queens acid blood will damage the Mongo in order to not give a free impregnation. “Dissolving” debuff will be shown when Reaper Queen is caught and damaged, Mongo will take damage over time not affected by the high armor. Button input (Console, can be swapped to appropriate key input for PC): · Right Trigger: Bite (High damage) · Hold Right Trigger: Narcotic Bite (Torpor attack, decent damage, good for a last-minute torp, will not be a free knockout on creatures as the torp/damage ratio will result in the creature dying before knocking out if only attacked with the Narcotic Bite) · Left Trigger: Quick pounce where camera is facing with small sized net. Pounce cooldown is shown in the bottom left of screen · Hold Left Trigger: Crosshair appears, and Mongo starts to increase the size of the web net over time with the size of the net displayed in the bottom left of screen with S, M, L, XL indicating the changes, release to pounce. · Hold Left Trigger after creature is Pounced: Cut webbing to set the creature free. Pounce cooldown is shown in bottom left of screen · A Button: Jump · Hold A Button: Charged Jump with crosshair · Click in Left Stick: Sprint, while sprinting can climb surfaces · Tap Left Bumper (Mine Laying Mode Toggle): Shows indication of how many web traps are in Mongo’s inventory, back spikes will start to pulse when active, tap again to toggle off and back spikes will no longer pulse · Right Trigger after Left Bumper (Mine Laying Mode is ACTIVE): will place a web trap directly behind the Mongo, if the Mongo is on a surface the web trap will fall as if a net projectile was shot downward but will become a web trap when it lands on a surface or if it collides with an entity, falling web trap will spawn relative to the rear end of the Mongo · Click Right Stick: Roar · Click and hold Right Stick: Pry open enemy gates Taming Foods: · Favorite: Exceptional Kibble · Raw Mutton · Spoiled Meat · Raw Meat Drops when killed: · Spider Silk · Organic Polymer · Chitin · Pelt · Raw Meat Aggro’d creatures: · Basilisk · Karkinos · Spinos · Rock Drakes · Reapers, R-Reapers, Reaper Queens, R-Reaper Queens · Nameless · Rex · Gigas · Charcars · Rhyns · Wyverns (Not Crystal Wyverns) · All hostile water creatures · Deathworms · All bosses · Magmasaurs · Rock Golems, X-Rock Golems · Amargasaurus · Megatherium · Attack and Defense Drones · All Corrupted · Fasolasuchus? · Enraged Ferox · Giant Bees (if hive is broken) · Griffin · Insect Swarm · Lamprey · Leech · Seeker if charge pet is active · Summoner · Therizino · Voidwyrm Thank you for reviewing my creature submission! Sorry for the info dump but me and my friends brainstormed hard to think of mechanics that would make it unique while also finding ways to help balance the creature into a fun, fair, and useful tame, to be viable in both PvP and PvE as well as to help it stand out from the others currently in Ark. Any and all feedback is appreciated, and I will try to respond to comments whenever possible. 2. My Goal Is To Educate People About Aurornis, First let me tell you About Aurornis Xui In Real Life, Aurornis was roughly the size of a modern pheasant, with a length of 50 cm (20 inches). It had clawed wings and a long bony tail. Its leg bones were similar to those of Archaeopteryx, but overall its anatomy was more Primitive Aurornis lived roughly 160 million years ago, roughly 10 million years before Archaeopteryx, which often has been described as the first bird. Wild : Aurornis Xui, Although Seems Cute and Cuddly From Afar,Do not approach It As Its Powerful Beak and Talons Can Shred Even the Toughest Of Creatures! Males Have A Luminescent Tail and Head Feathers, while males have Extra Feathers under its beak. The Females Have A More dull Look While a Shorter Tail And No Head Feathers. Aurornis Are Often Seen Hunting in a Pack of 3, 2 Females and 1 Male, Rarely Even all 3 Of same Gender Or 2 Males and 1 Female. Some Packs Have Been Witnessed To Raise Other Baby Dinos In There nest With there Own Young. Killing A pack Of Aurornis Xui Will benefit you Greatly as it Will drop Feathers Another More Softer and Prettier Alternative To Make Beds and sleeping bags (Beds and Sleeping Bags Crafted from Feathers Have A shorter Respawn Timer and The Beds and sleeping bags crafted from Feathers wil have A Feather Look instead of Typical Hide look), Alternatively Can make a Aurornis GlideSuit, A More Faster and Cooler GlideSuit. Domesticated : Aurornis Xui, While Domesticated Can Benefit you Greatly, It can Jump High While Aurornis Cannot Fly it can Glide While Gliding it Opens Its Tail and Wings Wide and Can Glide Up to Hours Until It Touches the Ground,While Being a Semi-Flying Dinosaur it can Swim Very Well, While Getting Scent of Insects Aurornis will Become Raged and Go on a Killing Spree on Insects Dealing 25% More Damage To Creatures. Aurornis Can be Paired and This Creature While Being A Little Bigger Then an Iguanadon Can Kill Even The Supposed King Of Dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus Rex, With its Talons and Cause Bleeding and Can even Latch On to Creatures Bigger then a Allosaurs and up, While Pouncing Smaller Dinos Down to a Raptor, Smaller then a Raptor It Can grab with Its beak and Few to none can escape Its Grasp. it Can Also Somehow Latch onto Flying Dinosaurs (More specifically Like the Quetzal) i Saw Tribes using this to Try To Bring Down Quetzals, Even Other Tribes Used Aurornis to "Injure Flying Dinosaurs" Making them Forcefully Land or drop to the ground, For Trapping or Easily Killing them. You can Make The Aurornis Make a Nest Big Enough to Hatch The Biggest of Creatures, Enable There Mother Instinct On Female Aurornis And it will Sit on the Eggs until 5% ( Almost Ready To Hatch), It will Keep Screeching Until The baby is Hatched, The Aurornis mother will AutoClaim and If You give her The necessary Things she will Imprint and Also Raise The baby up! Extra Notes : 1. it Can Latch onto Giant Dinosaurs (More specifically Like the Quetzal) Imagine your trying To tame a Quetzal, But only Low lvls Are on map, There are Few Low to mid Tier Dinos that Can Catch up to a quetzal Therefor making it more Useful. 2. The Idea is It can "Injure Flying Dinosaurs" Making them Forcefully Land or drop to the ground, For Taming or Easily Killing them , This DeBuff Could last up to 1min (Similar to the Net from Gen 2). Vote For Aurornis For a New Boss Fighting and Terrain Crossing Birdy Friend, 🐦 (Sorry My female Aurornis Sketch Wont upload, but it was shown as Dossier Says )
  3. Proteroctopus ribeti Is from the Jurassic period. So after the last vote i have decided to make my own creature. The idea behind it is that is that i would like to create something that will be useful as well as fun! While this dino may have a few more features than most it is a well needed water dino. As the biome needs more attention and this will make people want to DIVE IN! Please leave any comments or suggestions below and please make them constructive! Size: Like most Cephalopods Females are larger than their male counterparts. The Female will be ridable and a bit larger than the Megalodon. While the male will be around a 3rd of that size. Males will be ridable but not able to grapple most sea creatures due to size. MOVES: Attack: Left click will allow you to do a normal attack using all of the tentacles. Harvest: Right click will allow you to harvest nodes. Grab Attack: By pressing C you will be able to grab and immobilize creatures underwater. Perhaps by using stamina and/or playing a short minigame to succeed. This will allow you to tame creatures underwater in a passive way. However this will be ineffective for taming larger dino's like a Tusoteuthis or a Mosasaur. While grappled you can safely dismount and tranq the dino! Dash: By pressing X you can dash in the water allowing the tentacles to slam together behind you. creating a small amount of bubbles as well as forcing you forward at a greater speed! Ink Jet: By pressing Ctrl + C you can shoot a jet of ink temporarily stunning a creature and allowing you to escape! ABILITIES: Gathering: Females only After killing and eating a crustacean (The Octavius treat of choice) you can activate its gathering bonus. This will last for 10 Minutes at which time you will need to find a new treat. The first main benefit for the Octavius is its ability to harvest underwater. While using a saddle it adds small linked chains or metal strips along the tentacles. This allows the Octavius to squeeze underwater nodes harder making them crumble and easier to gather. Granting a %20 boost to resources gathered in this way. Resourses that can be gathered this way are Oil, Metal, Stone and Obsidian. The second main ability of the Octavius is the ability to gather Pearls. Due to its many arms it allows it to take great care when gathering pearls and faster at that. This allows a 20% Boost to the amount of pearls gathered gathered. As well as gathering Chitin from underwater crustaceans. This However does not effect black pearls found naturally. Passives: Paternal Instincts The female Octavius is able to nurture its young in the water and usually dies when does so in the wild. However when domesticated the paternal side of the Octavius helps it to be a great mother. Allowing it to feed and imprint on all underwater dinos in its area. I does require more food to do this as it takes a lot of effort to keep the babies happy. While in this state the Octavius will also use its ink attack to deter and fend off predators. To activate this you will need to have the Octavius Near at least one baby and select "Nurture" option in its spin wheel. Once active the Octavius will not allow you to ride it and will be fully focused on its duties. Deep Sea Oil: The Octavius has a really handy ability. It creates "Deep Sea Oil" This oil when placed with pearls in its inventory will allow the oil to seep into the pearls. This will turn them into "Black Sea Pearls" and will allow you to use them in place of Black pearls. However you will need to create two times the normal amount of Black Sea Pearls as needed by normal black pearls. This can be done with the Male or Female Octavius. Usually this is the preferred job of the male Octavius though because if moved this will halt the production of the Deep Sea Pearls. Octavius are immune to eels and jellyfish. However this comes at a cost. If the Octavius is hit by either it will excite the nerves controlling its Chromatophores. This will cause the Octavius to become a bright blue color which for a short time will cause it to attract other sea creatures. During this time it is recommended that you flee with the ink ability. TAMING: Taming the Octavius is fairly straight forward. It is a passive tame. You will need to tame a Trilobite and find an Wild Octavius (usually on the sea floor imitating a rock) You will then have to provide the Octavius its most favorite treat! It will come out of hiding and feed! Once it has been fed enough it will tame. This process is the same for both male and female. During this time you will need to protect it from wild dinos. BREEDING: Breeding the Octavius is a bit more complicated. Underwater you will need to activate breeding. After activating the event the Octavius will cuddle and interweave their tentacles. Then after the female will take on the appearance of a stone while it nurses its younglings. However due to the size of the Octavius they do not have many babies like they would in the wild. During this time the mother will not move and will need to be fed by a person to keep its food stable. It will eat more than normal and will not gather food itself. If its food reaches zero the mother will start to turn a white color and loose health. This will be your warning to feed it fast. If you fail to do so it will die along with the babies. You can feed the mother with trough. But it will only do so at half the rate. slowing down the food loss but not stopping it. WILD: Octavius are passive in the wild and will not attack unless provoked. usually they will ink and run.
  4. It’s called the BLUE DRAGON but it’s scientific name is glaucus atlanticus. A water land and gliding tame used to assist with taming other water Dino’s and being used as a underbelly water turret. ABILITIES The Blue Dragon can go stealth and swim up to other water Dinos and attach itself to it tranqing the water Dino. While attached you have to press the buttons it tells you to stay attached. For getting around it’s a standard speed in the water but if you go to the surface and skim the water it gains speed when you get enough speed you can perform a jump and glide in the air. because technically these are water slugs they have the ability to attach themselves to walls in water or out of water and climb them similar to a rock drake. If outta water it will have use the oxygen stat, but it can travel on land but not quick. They are also good to get around in shallow waters like swamps and rivers. For the dark deep see dives it has a bioluminescence that runs through its body that can be used if you give it a charge battery allowing it to glow. ATTACK AND DEFENSE For attacks it has a bite attack which is venomous being that they are venomous and sting in real life like a man o war. They also have a stun ability like the electric eels, but in order to use it you need to have the toxins you harvest from the jellyfish. The electric shock will allow you to stun and swim away. PVP ABILITY Being that the blue sea dragon can attach itself to surfaces it has the ability to attach to the underbelly of another water tame and act as a turret nest as in one person controls and rides the megalodon and if you attach it, it allows you to sit on the dragon and use a crossbow or a harpoon. TAMING The blue sea dragon Is a passive tame, you will have to swim up to it and feed it bio toxins once done it will allow you to mount it and basically like the equus you have to ride it. The tame will go to the surface and when it jumps and glides you need to hit the corresponding buttons it tells you to press. Depending on the level you will have to do this once or multiple times. FOOD Food will be just standard fish. Toxins placed in there inventory will be used forelectrical stun and tranqing. MATING Mating is standard. LOCATION Since the submission is for the center map I’m thinking that you can find them near the waterfalls gliding down to the water. SIZE The average size of the blue sea dragon would be a little smaller than a megalodon or the size of three grown adults. SADDLES saddles will be mounted on the center of there back’s between the front and back fins. There are two saddles one that allows you to ride and use its ability and a tek saddle that has an attached turret that can be used when attached to the underbelly of another tame. Dossier and artwork to come soon, pictures below are what the designs will look like. The sketch of the sea dragon attached to a mosa is a ruff sketch a actual picture is being drawn I would love feedback about ideas or changes that anyone has thank you
  5. Agustinia Diet: Herbivore Length: 15-16 meters Weight: 10-20 tons Birth type: Egg The Stats -Good Health (1850 base for a level 1 wild) -Good Weight (1300 base for a level 1 wild) -Great Stam(600 base for a level 1 wild) The Size The size for this creature should be in-between the Bronto and Diplo in the game which is why its stats are some in between these two creatures. Except for its stam which is higher than these dinos, being its outstanding trait. The Main Abilities Tail Latch The Agustinia can use its spikey tail to latch to other dinosaurs and hold these dinosaurs in position until the Agustinia's stam has run out. The male and female versions of these dinos have different effects when the tail is attached to a dino. The females will inflict an increase in torpor to the dino, which will help in taming other creatures with the rider on top being able to shoot tranq darts or arrows. This can also help survivors to knock out and trap wyverns if they get too close to acquire their wyvern milk. The males on the other hand will slowly deplete the dinos health with a bleed effect while being attached. Spike Projectiles The Agustinia will also be able to launch its spikes with a tail attack against incoming or running enemies. These projectiles would do the same effects as latching, but at a much less effective degree. So female spike projectiles would increase torpor and the males a slight bleed effect for a few seconds. These projectiles will also be able to be aimed in a certain area in front of the Agustinia. So not straight up, down, behind etc. Basic Attacks Aside from the Agustinia's two special attacks it will have. - A two leg front stomp - A tail swipe without inflicting the latch ability or projectiles to be launched Other Features Agustinia should have the spike damage when attack by other creatures, just like the Kentros. The reduced damage taken like the stego. The only thing lacking in this dinosaur would be its speed. Passively produces its keratin spikes which can be used for cementing paste Taming Method Killing the Male and Female for Egg Hatching the Egg As a survivor walking through the map of rag you will see this creature in pairs of two, a male and a female, but they cannot be tamed in the conventical sense, due to an adult Agustinia not being able to bond well with survivors. So, both of these creatures must be killed, for you to be able to get the egg from the female's inventory. But if you only kill the female and try to take the egg the male will go into a fury of rage. This rage will cause it to send out a fear roar scaring any dinos nearby and increases the stats of the Agustinia making it more dangerous against you and your tribe making it more beneficial to kill both dinos. Once you have managed to secure the egg from the female there is another challenge that arises. Hatching the Egg When this egg is hatched you must give the Agustinia what it wants to increase the bond with you. How this works is if the Agustinia wants honey, and you give it the honey, it will increase the dinos bond with you (which is the taming percent on a normal dino) the effectiveness of the tame will be from how quickly you are able to feed the creature or complete another objective like walking it etc. If you don't get the bond to 100 percent before it has reach adulthood it will attack and kill you, becoming a wild adult Agustinia. The Creature Saddle The saddle for this creature would be a saddle that can sit up to 3 people on top of the dino.
  6. Leptofelis small cat shoulder pet tame helper nickname: "Shimmer Kitty" IN THE WILD - looks like a Persian tabby or a Norwegian Forest cat, with glowing stripes - found in the Ab Green Zone, often napping on top of the mushroom trees - can jump very high and climb trees - about as easily spooked as a monkey - will flee if spooked, but if cornered, will bite (causing normal damage) and/or hiss (causing a paralyzing slow effect, like being webbed) and/or swipe (induces fear to animals / hallucinations to people) - passive tamed with combo of fish meat (prime working better) and the "ascerbic" mushrooms - the black ones with the narcotic effect - once tame, will eat fish or meat; can be fed ascerbic mushrooms for special attacks TAMED (all effects diminish on larger animals, the larger the less effect) - hiss: 3 second paralyzing slow effect to animals that come within 1 meter - claw swipe: small amt of damage, but when cat has eaten black mushrooms, poison induces 3 seconds fear to animals / hallucinations to people - purr (automatic while on shoulder): de-agros animals, induces torpor in wild or enemy animals and enemy humans not riding - lick (automatic while on shoulder): heals owner by cutting bleed damage/mushroom hallucinations/torpor up to half Shimmer kitty can be put on turret mode, to hiss and swipe at wild dinos and enemys. Not a light pet: shimmer kitty glows like the aberrant variety animals, but does not have the glow pet passive damage to reapers and nameless, does not attract seekers, and does not light the area. references: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leptofelis picture explanation: Leptofelis is the same size or a little smaller than Styriofelis pictures from this YT video: Note: I'm not an artist, but if anyone would like to make a dossier or a sketch of a Leptofelis on a Survivor's shoulder, I would love it!
  7. What is Gigantophis? Gigantophis is an extinct species of constrictor, living around 40 million years ago, it was the largest snake discovered until Titanoboa was found. Gigantophis was roughly around 35 feet long putting it near Whale Shark sized! Gigantophis were believed to of fed on the early relatives of elephants called Moeritherium. More Information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigantophis Gigantophis Dossier Wild: Gigantophis Comprimens unlike Titanoboa exornantur prefers to spend its days basking in the sunlight waiting for its next meal. This immensely large snake prefers to constrict its prey crushing every single bone in its body, once it has its coils wrapped around you, there is no way of escape, just death. This creature is regularly seen preying upon the likes of Paraceratherium, Stegosaurus and even Triceratops but it won't pass up the opportunity to grab a nearby survivor. Tamed: Whilst tamed Gigantophis is a viable asset, I have seen survivors using it as sort of upgraded chain bola which holds creatures in place but due to Gigantophis constrictor nature, it slowly crushes the creature. Personally I have been using mine as a sort of make-do tent protecting me from the elements, it is a terrifying thought but the babies are so cute with their little goofy smiles, you will get immediately attached to them. (Working on Dossier) Behaviour Due to Gigantophis being a predator, it is highly aggressive, and relentless. It will attack any survivor or tame which is within reach of its thick coils. They are mainly found in marshlands and open plains (when nesting). A nesting mother will not attack unless you are very close to it. Appearance Gigantophis looks like a modern day Anaconda but super sized, they tend to be solitary and ambush their prey with thick coils which disable prey, if the prey is larger than it, they bite it with their rows of needle teeth preventing the prey from moving. Taming Gigantophis is a passive tame and requires special precaution. It is advised to bring tames with high hp which you don't mind losing for example Moschops'. You must first find a mother Gigantophis coiled around its nest, the level of the mother represents the level of eggs inside the nest. Whistle your Moschops towards the mother, the mother will agro to the Moschops and start to coil then kill it, you must keep sending Moschops until the mother's taming effectiveness is at 100%. Once it is at 100%, the mother will spawn an egg and you must send one more Moschops to distract the mother from the egg. Gigantophis mother go up to level 225. Combat It is advised to use high ground against Gigantophis with a decent shotgun or use a large tame which deals a lot of damage, so you do not get constricted by Gigantophis. Attacks Primary: Is a bite attack which deals bleed damage similar to the Deinonychus. Secondary: Coil attack which coils around creatures and hold it in place, you must press the button again to start constricting, inhibiting their movement whilst giving a bone break effect after a while and slowly increases in damage as time passes. Tertiary: Latch attack, only for large creatures, you bite and latch onto the creature then press the coil button to start constricting the creature. You can also just use it to slow down your target. Abilities - PvP Soaker counter: Gigantophis can hold soaker in place preventing their movement so you can kill them more easily. Whilst constricting, if Gigantophis is damaged, it will let go and leave the tame with a bone break effect. Movement restrict: Gigantophis can latch on to large creatures like gigas and slow/prevent their movement allowing you to kill them easier. Unaffected by picking: Due to Gigantophis being so low to the ground and the position of the rider, you are immune to creatures like Desmodus picking you off your mount. Tank: Due to Gigantophis' girth, it has a large hp value and can take quite a lot of hits, this is especially useful against hard hitting tames. Abilities - PvE Make-do Shelter: Ever had that horrible feeling of not being able to get back to your base in time when servers are about to update, well Gigantophis acts as a shelter and bed, all you have to do is access its option wheel and choose the shelter option, whilst in this mode Gigantophis gains the apex buff meaning you will be mostly safe. Egg Collector: Gigantophis is a necessity for breeders who aren't at base, Gigantophis will collect your fertilized eggs while you're away and keep them safe until you need them. Boss Fighter: Due to Gigantophis hp stat and its decent damage, it is a viable candidate for any boss fight. Underwater Mount: When Gigantophis is in the water it gains a significant speed buff and it does not lose oxygen. Meatrunner: Gigantophis is a reliable meat runner being able to carry a lot of meat without getting encumbered! Tame Helper: Using Gigantophis coil attack, you can reliably hold most creatures down so you can tranq them out. Snake Bridge: Acts as a bridge between 2 rock faces, for easier traversal with other creatures.
  8. What is Dracovenator? Dracovenator is an extinct species of Dilophosauridae, it lived during the Jurassic period and it was roughly 5.5-6.5m tall, around the size of a Velonasaur. It was more than likely a carnivore due to its heritage. Dracovenator's name means Dragon Hunter, isn't that cool! Why should you choose Dracovenator for Scorched Earth? Dracovenator will be the perfect addition to Scorched Earth, providing a stable way to knock out creatures with its Torpor dealing abilities and the ability to act as a fridge for Wyvern Milk, as well as an easy way to grab Wyvern eggs whilst being completely unnoticed, and if you would be noticed you can at least defend yourself from them, on top of that it's spit has different effects based on what consumables you put in it's inventory. Dracovenator Dossier Wild: Larger and faster than the native Dilophosaurus, Dracovenator Toxicus is Ark's most fascinating resident. Whenever Dracovenator is on the hunt, its victims fall unconscious before they are even killed. While it seems they are aggressive, I noticed them feeding on bushes, a weird behaviour but perhaps there is meaning to it. Tamed: An asset to any survivor's tribe, once tamed Dracovenator can be fed a variety of narcotics to boosts its venom's capabilities, Like it’s Namesake, it posseses a unique ability to sneak into Wyvern nests completely undetected. Behaviour Dracovenator is fairly aggressive, but seems to relax once it goes through a few berry bushes. However it is still best not to approach as they have violent tendencies. Appearance Dracovenator is around the size of a Velonasaur but with an appearance similar to Dilophosaurus, just without the frill. It has varied osteoderms cover its body with its delightful crest. Taming Dracovenator is a passive tame and must be approached with caution when trying to tame, it is best advised to where a ghilli suit whilst consuming a Cactus Broth. Clear any agro targets in the vicinity, then throw tamed creatures with narcotics, Narcoberries or Bio Toxin in their inventory, let Dracovenator kill that tamed creature and the items will transfer to Dracovenator, it will gain taming effectiveness based on what items you put in it, after Dracovenator is at 100% go up to it and start feeding it Regular Kibble, mutton etc, each type of taming food will depend on how much taming effectiveness it loses. It is best advised to use Dodo's as they are an easy tame. Combat Keep the high ground or be knocked out, have lots of stimulants on you, you'll need them. You can use bear traps to stop them or throw any narcotics on the ground (this does not work for the tamed version). Attacks Primary: Just a regular bite attack, with a fairly decent speed. This attack also picks up wild Wyvern eggs and Drake eggs. Secondary: Spit attack, crosshairs are present on your screen whenever you ride this creature. Gains different effects based on consumables. Spit Attack Mechanics Placing different Talons in Dracovenators inventory will give different reactions with its spit. These options will be placed on a hot wheel and can be disabled at any point. Fire Wyvern Talons makes it become a mini Fire Wyvern where it spits a pool of burning venom which if you or a creature stands in for too long, will set it alight, it deals AoE damage to structures, tames and players. Poison Wyvern Talons makes it become a Poison Wyvern where it spits out a concentrated amount of venom which gives torpor to creatures and players, it does not deal much damage as it is meant more for utility. Lightning Wyvern Talons makes it become a Lightning Wyvern where it spits out a pool of electrifying liquid which stuns players and creatures, this also temporarily shuts off generators. Utilities - PvE Versatile Taming Assistant: Narcotics in Dracovenator's inventory allows you to deal torpor to creatures and players, as if it is mocking the Poison Wyvern. Travel Mount: Dracovenator is an extremely agile creature being able to jump and run far distances without getting tired out, it can also hold a fairly decent amount of weight, as well as being able to climb some surfaces, making it a fairly reliable travel mount. Boss Fighter: Whilst not being used for its spit attack Dracovenator is a fairly reliable boss dino due to its maneuverability and damage output. Egg Stealer: Dracovenator possesses a unique ability where wyverns will ignore it, as it acts as an imposter while you are riding it. Whilst riding it use your melee attack at a nest to pick up the egg. Fertilised Egg Collector: Perfect for any mass breeder, an automatic egg collector so you don't have to wait around to pick up eggs. Abilities - PvP Turret: Putting Dracovenator in its turret mode allows it to use it's basic spit which slows down tames/survivors whilst also debuffing their armour. Base Destroyer: Putting Sulphur in Dracovenators inventory let's Dracovenator spit out a pool of burning venom which deals DoT to structures and players. Raiding Ally: Putting Gasoline in Dracovenators inventory will allow it to shut off generators whilst also stunning players and tames for a short duration. Soaker Counter: Due to its Flak saddle and armour debuffing spit, Dracovenator can help deal with soakers whilst providing support to your tribe. Passive Abilities Harvester: Dracovenator harvests Narcoberries and Bio Toxin at an increased rate, and will also cause Nameless to drop Nameless Venom more frequently. Fridge: Whilst Bio Toxin, Nameless Venom or Wyvern Milk are in its inventory, it will increase the spoil times making Dracovenator a reliable companion when raising Rock Drakes and Wyverns! Torpor Immunity: Naturally since Dracovenator feasts on so much torpor inducing items, it is naturally immune to the stings of Jellyfish and survivors who try to knock it out. Wyvern/Drake Fighter: Due to Dracovenator name sake, it only makes sense for it to be able to have additional damage against the Drake kind. Saddle Dracovenator has 2 saddles, a normal hide saddle or a flak saddle providing a mounted flame thrower but this disables it's ability to use its spit attack.
