  1. --Name Update-- I've been made aware that the Thoracopteridae is actually the name of the family and not a genus itself so a more proper name for it would be the Thoracopterus! hope this change doesn't confuse many people, Thank you Beelzebufo522 for the correction^ Something Ark has needed for a long time is some new creatures to make the ocean more diverse and exciting so i'm here to present the Thoracopterus, Known Commonly as the Flying Fish it is the new fastest Swimmer/Gliding Tame. Able to use its powerful tail to launch out of the water and glide long distances, even challenging the maewing with its gliding/swimming capabilities!! ---Abilities--- Launch and Glide: Gain speed to launch out of the water, the more speed you have the higher into the air you will go. Similar to a maewing you will then hold a button to glide and control the angle and speed at which you fly at. To descend there's a couple of options: a speedy dive that when done into deep water it will be a quick way to reach the ocean's depths or a parachute-like ability for a more slow and controlled descent. Or simply glide until you reach the water again. Speed boost/Charge attack: Whilst in water it is able to do a charged up attack which will propel itself forward at great speeds, you can use this a simple speed boost to move faster whilst in water or if you hit an enemy its wings will slice whatever it goes through dealing bleed damage to the target. Spin attack: If ever cornered it can do a spin attack with its fins that deals knockback and a slight bleed. Just enough to give it the time to zoom away from danger. Invisibility!: Its iridescent scales are great at reflecting the ocean around them, so whilst in water they are able to turn themselves and their rider ‘invisible’ similar to how a Desmodus can vanish into the night. Making it easier to avoid those annoying Stuns and scary alphas! This of course drains stamina quicker just like any over camo/invis abilities. On Land: What happens if you land it on land? No threat, tho it is a fish if you do happen to get it stuck on land you do have time to get it back into the water with either using cryo pod or its slither/flopping movement similar to ARK Additions Xiphactinus to shuffle its way back into the water (this idea could be expanded upon 1 idea being it lasts longer on land if you keep water in its inventory to prevent it from drying up, this meter will be shown its Oxygen bar. However I feel it's also important to keep this as a water mount so for nothing to drastic that it becomes an all terrain creature) Boats arn't safe: They are very skittish creatures, rarely allowing you to get close before speeding off and are especially afraid of boats! If you do manage to get too close to one with a raft or canoe they may feel threatened enough to damage the vessel before speeding off making them a new threat to those that wish to travel the seas without getting their feet wet. another way they may damage boats if they mistake them for pieces of drift wood or debris of which a mate pair may want to lay its eggs on, to do so they might want to cut the vessel up into smaller less noticeable pieces. ---Unsure of abilities--- Mate pair or pack boost options: pack boost was an idea had very early on as these creatures are found in groups, however I don't think it would work well with the bleeding ambush creature it could be. Mate pair tho could see additional abilities being added maybe a aoe heal ability or something else! Climbing waterfalls: These creatures have been spotted using their strong back fin to launch themselves up waterfalls to make it to migrate to other oceans, it's almost like it's defying the laws of gravity. (this idea is a big stretch as I'm unsure if it would even be possible, but I feel like it would be a helpful idea based on the different water levels on the map) Double Jump: To keep in the air almost like a bird it is able to do a strong flap of its fins to launch it up higher, this is helpful if you ever feel like you are getting too close to land and just need that extra boost to get back into the water. This second jump would only be around half the height of its max jump. ---Taming,Breeding,Anatomy--- Taming method: Taming I originally thought would be similar to an Astrodelphis but in the end a Sino would probably be a better comparison, they will spawn in groups and as long as you have their favourite food ammonite bile in your inventory (if you want it to be extra tough could have it so you must apply the ammonite bile making over creatures nearby aggressive) they will come up to you to be fed, swimming around you and sometimes running away having to chase after them. As long as you don't hurt them or don't scare them with any big tames Breeding: In the wild they would leave their eggs onto seaweed and floating debris near the water's surface.Once tamed however they will be able to breed near the surface of the water as long as there's a structure nearby to attach its eggs to. Anatomy: They have razor sharp barbs on the front edge of its 1st pair of fins, these barbs can cause severe bleeding when used at high speeds and mainly used in the wild as a last resort to escape or when hunting for food. They are sharp enough to cut through thick shells and skin of some of the largest creatures in the depths. The fin at the end of their tail is a lot thicker and stronger than the rest of the fins that it uses to glide with. This tail fin is the entire reason it is able to propel itself into the air, climb waterfall and cause knockback and charged attacks Size: slightly smaller than a megalodon there wings make them seem a lot bigger ---Idea for a Tek Saddle--- -I could imagine the Tek saddle covering the Thoras fins like the Tek Tapagara saddle, the tek blades on the fins would then have deferent settings to deal over effects over than just its normal bleed (Green mode=torpor, Purple mode=Electric stun, Red mode=enhanced Bleed for some ideas) -The strong armour around the head could make it so it can charge mineable materials and collect them. -The saddle could possible improve its gliding ability adding a thruster to just boost itself higher into the air if needed. (but it would not be strong enough to keep the Thora in the air forever just longer than normally would without) This thruster could also be used in water for faster acceleration ---Additional info--- -Can’t be picked by a Tuso as it is speedy enough to evade its tentacles -Slight overall weight reduction to make those water resource trips that much easier WILD Swimming near the surface of deep oceans they are found swimming in schools using their numbers and ability to leaping out of the water to escape larger predators. They are very skittish creatures, rarely allowing you to get close before speeding off and are especially afraid of boats! If you do manage to get too close to one with a raft or canoe they may feel threatened enough to use their ‘spin attack’ to dmg/push away the vessel before speeding off making them a new threat to those that wish to travel the seas without getting their feet wet. ONCE TAMED: Once Tamed they can become your fastest way of travel, being able to manoeuvre quickly around obstacles in the ocean and skip over pieces of land with its glide. Also a great way to bleed and dodge any attacks whilst in the water with its charges it could be the best way to deal with larger predators if you wish to engage in a fight. They are able to be saddled carrying up to 1 player, when not sprinting can hold a weapon such as harpoon or crossbow. Due to hunting Ammonite and being exposed to its bile for such a long time they have evolved to be immune to the aggressive effects of it, they will also protect the rider also making them immune to its effects. This is my 1st time submitting a creature! All art is done by myself and I really hope you like the Thoracopterus!
  2. COMMON NAME: Nyctosaurus SPECIES: N. anemosilectus TIME: Late Cretaceous DIET: Piscivore TEMPERAMENT: Neutral WILD: Few creatures are more striking to behold than Nyctosaurus anemosilectus. This semiaquatic pterosaur can sometimes be found roosting atop any of the tall spires rising from this ark's multitude of tropical islands. Although normally docile unless provoked, Nyctosaurus does not like being disturbed while roosting and will attack anything that does so. This can be avoided by approaching under the cover of a ghillie suit, but be careful because it will still attack if the survivor approaches with a mount! This can make a roosting Nyctosaurus quite difficult to reach, but feeding it fish meat can earn its trust. DOMESTICATED: Nyctosaurus' saddle is a large sail fastened to its L-shaped crest and a surfboard-like platform strapped to its back, transforming the creature into some kind of living sailboard. Using its beak like a rudder and its wings to make tight drifting turns, a saddled Nyctosaurus is the most efficient means of travel across the water's surface. Although the sail, when unfurled, impedes Nyctosaurus' ability to fly, the saddle can be switched to “furled mode” where the sail is folded up against the crest. This enables the pterosaur to freely fly and dive. The crest also functions like a lightening rod, absorbing electrical shocks and rendering both mount and rider immune to attacks from the ocean's bioelectric denizens. ARTIST'S NOTES: I've been sitting on this idea for a LONG time, having actually forgotten about it after a point until something recently jogged my memory of it—just in time for this contest! It seems like most submissions to these contests are mid- to late-game tames with sometimes complicated taming methods and even more complicated abilities. For once it'd be nice to get a simple early- to mid-game tame with one or two straight-forward but incredibly fun abilities. The inspiration behind this was the debate as to whether or not the L-shaped crests of Nyctosaurus and kin supported membranes. Depictions of sailed nyctosaurs reminded me of sailboards, and that's when the bulb lit in my brain. Honestly, how cool would this be? Let's get this crazy idea into the game!

Name:Basiliscus Maximus Common name:Basiliscus Temperament Female:Neutral Temperament Male:Aggressiv Size:ca.10 Meters Wild: Theese big lizards live in groupes off about 10 individuums, wich are guarded by one Alpha Male, wich kills everything it sees (you can see wich one it is because the Males have bigger crests and sails than the females). The females are less aggressive and do only attack if you attack them or their nests, wich are always attacked by various predators. Taming: The only way to tame a Basiliscus is to jump on a female, take a range weapon and get her trust, with helping her defending the nest(killing attackers).Ones she trusts you, she will offer you one egg wich you have to raise and then feed the hatchling. Tamed: This creature CAN be ridden without a saddle butt its defenetly worth it crafting the saddle because it adds three abbilities: night vision helmet minigun (one on each side) Foldable glider, with wich it can glide like a maewing Normal abbilities: Running on water diving very fast without an oxygen stat swimming exelent using its‘s tale as a whip and for picking up creatures up to the size of a stego or allo copy buffs and special abbilities Immitating Buffs/ Special abbilities:, for copying buffs and abbilities you have to immitade the creature until the immitation bar is on 100%.Then youre Basiliscus will get the buff/abbility.Example: when you copy the Sino‘s buff you will get the buff every time your Basiliscus touches water. You can only copy 10 buffs max
  4. We are not making in to the next round, but would like to thank all of you who voted for this creature. Thanks to all and see you in nexts maps submissions! I have always felt that ARK lacks diversity of creatures on the volcanic islands as well as a creature that is versatile in the water as well as powerful out of it. That's why I want to introduce "pyrokiromiacea". As you may well notice the name of this creature is not real, but I believe that Helena would have given this name to describe this amazing crab, this extinct species (Callichimaera perplexa) where called the platypus of the crustaceans as they had an strange combination of anatomical features. These territorial crabs used to be found in the deep sea, near corals and algae where they protected and inhabited. To adapt it to the ARK as Helena would say: This crab has changed from its original size being much bigger than I remembered. In addition, to go deeper into the subject of volcanic islands, subspecies of these crabs have also been found that lived at a depth of 300 metres near hydrothermal springs and are therefore able to withstand high temperatures. All this together resulted in this creature. Wild: Pyrokiromiacea, an extraordinary prehistoric crab, thrives in the depths of the sea near hydrothermal cracks found in close proximity to volcanic islands. These hydrothermal spots provide a perfect habitat for Pyrokiromiacea due to their abundant heat and mineral-rich environment. This creature is renowned for its territorial nature, defending its chosen spots with unwavering resolve. However, there may be an opportunity to utilize its unique abilities by coaxing it to the surface. Extreme caution is advised, as Pyrokiromiacea possesses the exceptional ability to absorb heat. This enables it to unleash devastating maneuvers such as the ground-shaking Slam, inflicting damage to its surroundings both on land and in water. Domesticated: Taming Pyrokiromiacea presents a monumental challenge, but those who succeed will gain an unparalleled ally. Once under control, this prehistoric crab becomes an invaluable asset. Pyrokiromiacea exhibits a remarkable damage reduction capability. When its shell fills with steam, the crab becomes resistant, reducing incoming damage by 30% until the heat dissipates. With its fiery punches, the claws of Pyrokiromiacea emanate burning heat and unleash a torrent of fire, capable of obliterating even the most resilient structures and leaving destruction in its wake. During this rampage, the crab applies a burning effect to anything it strikes. However, after ending its rampage, the creature will enter a tired state, unable to move for a few seconds, symbolized by smoke emanating from its form. Pyrokiromiacea also possesses the unique ability to harvest materials with its powerful claws, excelling particularly in extracting oil from oil-rich environments. Its clawed appendages make it an efficient gatherer, offering a valuable resource in the form of oil. Equipping the saddle enhances the abilities of Pyrokiromiacea even further. The absorbed heat within the crab can be converted into a noxious gas, creating a yellow cloud that surrounds it. This gas induces fatigue in surrounding creatures and players, making them vulnerable to its attacks. It is important to note that the gas can be counteracted by wearing a gas mask. Abilites: Ground slam: Pyrokiromiacea stretches its legs to gain power and then drops, creating a small wave of damage all around and a devastating attack for anyone below (This attack leaves a small crack in the ground to mark the area of effect). Fiery Punches: Upon hitting C, the pyrokiromiacea enters a state of combustion, which is reflected by the flames it gives off. However, this state damages the creature and its rider. But the longer it remains in this state, the greater the effect of the attack. When hit with the left Click, its claws release heat and fire as it proceeds to unleash devastating punches forward inflicting igneous and physical damage to everything in front of it. This attack can deal damage to metal structures and TEK. It then enters a resting state (This can be seen by its semi-unconscious state as it releases smoke from behind). During this state the pyrokiromiacea will not be able to do anything. It is enough to wait 5 to 10 seconds before it can move again. Crustacean Resilience: Hitting C causes the pyrokiromiacea to enter a state of combustion, which is reflected by the flames it gives off. However, this state damages the creature and its rider. But the longer it remains in this state the greater the effect of the attack. In this case, when you hit C again, the pyrokiromiacea swells up (like a gasbag), being able to absorb the damage received for 15 seconds. The percentage of reduced damage depends on how long the ability has been charged. The longer the time the greater the reduction, with a maximum of 50% damage and a minimum of 30%. Fatigue Veil: Thanks to its mount, the pyrokiromiacea can generate a gas through exposure to a heat source (igneous damage received or when charged with C). Once enough gas has been generated, the pyrokiromiacea can release it around itself, inflicting fatigue on creatures and riders that breathe it. This allows the pyrokiromiacea to escape in critical cases. However, this gas can be countered on a player if they are wearing a gas mask. Great oil farmer: Because of its need to consume oil to channel heat for its skills, the pyrokiromiacea has adapted its claws to facilitate the extraction of this resource. Taming: Taming one is not easy, you must first pull it out of the deep sea and lure it to land. Once you're there, you'll have to drop oil for the crab to catch it, as it serves as a source of energy for its attacks. Once it has caught the oil, you will have to wait for it to launch the fiery punches attack, once it has launched the attack due to the overexertion the pyrokiromiacea will go into resting mode (This can be seen by the semi-conscious state as it releases smoke from the back) which will allow you to approach it and feed it a basket of fish. Like the shadowmane the size of the fish will influence how well it tames itself. Then simply repeat the process of oiling, surviving attack and feeding until you have finally acquired a pyrokiromiacea.
  5. Pterodaustro was a Filter feeding Pterosaur with Whale like Baleen teeth. Their diets whould have been very simular to those of the modern Flamingos. However unlike Flamingos, Pterodaustros hindfeet had webbing making them also good swimmers. Vote for Pterodaustro if you want a hybrid between Flying and Swimming Mounts! The Dossier: WILD Out of all Pterosaurs, Pterodaustro must be the strangest looking one ive met yet! Its Webbed feet and its baleen like teeth make it an exelent Swimmer and a Filter feeder. Pterodaustro often can be found near beaches searching for its prey: Trilobites and Clams. Seeing them fly above the water and diving in searching for food, i have to say is a majestic sight! DOMESTICATED While they are easy enough to tame for they dont care much for humans unless provoked but even then Pterodaustro whould rather flee than fight, their food isint as easy to come by however. While their hunger is satisfied with Chitin once tamed, they refuse them when wild. However one thing these Pterosaurs love are Pearls. With a handful of Silica pearls or Black Pearls you are sure to make a friend out of Pterodaustro quick! Pterodaustros Beaks arent very well adapted for combat however what makes up for it is its ability to harvest immense amounts of Silica and Black Pearls from Clams, Trilobites and Sea Scorpions! Pterodaustro are ecxelent for exploring areas with rivers, lakes and oceans for i have noticed that upon leaving the water they seem to be flying faster for a little while. Making traveling near water sources fast! Is leaving the safety of your dino to gather Silica pearls worrying you? Well worry not! With Pterodaustros Beak it can collect clams and their pearls for you with no danger of leaving your dinos side! Info: For more info on Pterodaustro see the Link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pterodaustro
  6. Hey survivors! This is Slimer87_'s (me) idea for the Brachiosuchus! Enjoy! Olá sobreviventes! Essa é a ideia do Slimer87_ (eu) para o Brachiosuchus! Aproveite! Original post's name (in case this turns into a replie): Brachiosuchus kebabishensis: The buff croc! Species introduction: Brachiosuchus kebabishensis is a species of the genus Brachiosuchus (its the only species of the genus). It is a crocodyloform from the late Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic era. It was discovered in 2012 in the Kababish Formation of Sudan(where kebabishensis comes from). (Image taken from Wikipedia, by the Paleoartist Armin_Reindl at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachiosuchus#/media/File:Brachiosuchus.jpg) In ARK: Survival Ascended: (Goofy Brachiosuchus Dossier Sketch that I just made: Slimer87_) What will Brachiosuchus eat? R: At the wild it eats anything that moves just like other carnivores in ARK (at least I think its gonna be like that at Ascended), but when tamed it can eat cooked and raw: Fish, Prime fish, Meat, Prime meat and just lemons (not a joke, its because lemons are great fruits with vitamin C, eat your fruits kids!), it's favorite kibble can be either Superior kibble or medium kibble. Why is it perfect for the center? R: Because The Center has lots and lots of bodies of water that the Brachiosuchus can swim and spawn at. What with it's saddle? R: Brachiosuchus doesn't have any saddles, its a naturally very resistent and armored creature that doesn't go down easily, that's why it doesnt need a saddle. What's up with those dilos at the Croc's arm? R: Brachiosuchus "special ability" is switching from quadruped to biped (standing up), but unlike the iguanodon it still runs fast even while upright, while standing up the croc can't swin well, but can hold creatures with it's long and strong arms(terciary for standing up and secondary while up to grab dinos), while holding creatures that aren't near their full weight Brachiosuchus will ignore the creature's weight while carrying it, but weight buffs such as the castoroids will be ignored by the long armed crocodile. When the carried dino is heavy or at full weight brachiosuchus will have a weight discount of 2x at the creatures inventory. The quantity of dinos carried by Brachiosuchus can change for each creature, while it can carry up to three dilophosaurs, it can only carry one doedicurus. Speaking of abilities, what are the croc's abilities? R: Good question! While in quadruped stance (laying down) Brachiosuchus will bite with primary attack (generally left mouse click), claw/slap/punch creatures with it's arms with secondary attack (generally right mouse click), for its terciary (generally C) it will change between quadrupedal stance and bipedal stance. While in bipedal stance Brachiosuchus will grab creatures with primary attack, yeet/let go of creatures with secondary, change from bipedal stance to quadrupedal stance. While at bipedal stance, Brachiosuchus will intimidate any small (not smaller) dinos away (at least 20m radius). When changing from bipedal to quadrupedal or when entering water my boy brachiocroc will just come back to quadrupedal stance and carry the holding dinos with it's mouth like crocs carry their babies, but thats only for small dinos, certain bigger dinos will continue to be carried with brachio's arms, but it will affect swim speed. How will it be tamed? R: I was originally thinking of just darting it, but that wouldn't be fun would it? So to tame one long armed boy you will need: A dino that is close in size or bigger than the brachiosuchus that is the same level or higher than the brachiosuchus, the dino should be neutral or agressive, all you need next is to make the brachiosuchus and the dino fight! If your dino wins Brachiosuchus has a 60% chance of laying tranqued at the ground and your dino will stop beating it, and a 39% chance of it running away, and a trolling 1% chance of the croc just dying. If the croc wins, your dino will obviously die and brachiosuchus will sprint for you while standing up (you probably won't tank the hits)! (and will only progress the taming bar a little). For taming Brachiosuchus you can also give it baby kaprosuchus or sarcosuchus (the first method is better). In case of you knocking down the Brachiosuchus will tranq darts/arrows or by just beating it with your club/bare hands it won't tame, the brachiosuchus will only be able to pray that any kapros or sarcos won't see it! Anything more? R: This is the rest that I can think of (lol): Brachiosuchus has a lot of health and weight naturally, also armor, that makes it not sleep easily. When shooting at dinos that are being carried the damage and torpor will be passed on to the brachiosuchus, so you can't just lock dinos to tame them, but you can carry them to nearby traps! The size of the dinos that brachiosuchus can carry is every dino that is smaller than it while standing up! It will have a preference of going after kaprosuchus and sarcosuchus, because they hate each other, same for kaprosuchus (they will preffer the crocs over the player and the crocs will preffer the brachio over the player too)! (Also made by me, the background I found on father Google: By Slimer87_) I'm open for any replies or art to help people understand the greatness of the concept of the giga croc! (Sorry if my english is bad, I'm brazilian) (Also sorry if I said "Brachiosuchus" so many times lol) I can translate it to portuguese or spanish if anyone wants it to send to friends or whatever! Thanks for reading it all! (it sure was a lot) Slimer87_ out!
  7. Introducing Irritator, The Stealth Spinosaurid Common name: Irritator Species: Irritator Aquafluctus Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore / Piscivore Temperament: Opportunist Dossier: Wild: " While walking along the beach I had a surprising sight, an Irritator resting close to the shore, this spinosaurid easily identifiable by its crest and streamlined body is a fast and agile predator, adept at stealthy ambushes and quick pursuits. More than an ambusher the Irritator is an opportunistic specialist in taking advantage of the environment around him, which makes him secure his place near the top of the terrestrial and aquatic food chain. " Domesticated: " Taming an Irritator is not easy, however the tribes that have managed to tame this spinosaurid say it is worth the risk, those who manage to tame this creature are rewarded with a very versatile loyal semi-aquatic companion. With proper training your Irritator can be ridden on battle or used to cross bodies of water quickly, and thanks to its innate agility and impressive capabilities grant its rider the advantage in underwater combat, making it an invaluable mount for both underwater exploration and combat. " Introduction: Hello survivors, all quiet? I hope so, I present The Stealth Spinosaurid, The Irritator. The Irritator is a spinosaurid similar to Baryonyx, it would be a medium spinosaurid being smaller than Spinosaurus but larger than Baryonyx, the main idea is to be a versatile semiaquatic mount playing the role of marine exploration mount in PvE and stealth combat mount or combat support in PvP. Wild: The Irritator is mostly found on beaches and rivers where it spends most of its time resting or hunting. Face to face with a player the Irritator will act peacefully, but it's better not to let your guard down when you're close to him because the Irritator can even be a predator, but above all he's an opportunist and will attack you when you least expect. Like other carnivores, when seriously injured, the Irritator will not hesitate to run away, but before running away, the Irritator will emit a high-pitched roar that will make all nearby creatures angry, making them attack you and will take this opportunity to escape into the water. Taming process: To tame this spinosaurid, you must complete 2 steps: The first step is to drag a fish close to him, as soon as he eats the fish you must be quick and mount him, soon after you mount him he will run towards the water where he will dive in order to drown him. and if that doesn't work he will try to knock you off him and when he tries to do that you must feed him fish meat. As soon as you feed him, the second stage will begin where after he is fed he will calm down allowing you to guide him and when he does that you must hunt fish with him until he is tame. Tamed: Once you've tamed him you don't need a saddle to ride him, however his saddle will be much more useful for those who want to explore the oceans as his saddle has a built in scuba. Once tamed, the Irritator makes the perfect sea exploration mount, being an incredibly fast swimmer and having the strength to take on any sea creature that opposes you and your Irritator, plus out of the water the Irritator can store water in its throat that you can use to attack other creatures or to refresh you and your creatures by granting the hydrated effect to yourself and your allies. Saddle: The Irritator's saddle is unlocked at level 55 with his saddle the Irritator gains a new passive skill "Aqueous Ambush", in addition, the Irritator's saddle has a built-in scuba Description: The Irritator saddle is equipped with an advanced stealth technology that allows the rider to initiate a swift and stealthy aquatic ambush. When activated, the Irritator submerges itself and its rider in water, becoming nearly invisible to enemies above the surface. While submerged, the Irritator's movement speed is significantly increased, and its attacks deal bonus damage upon resurfacing for a surprise strike. Aqueous Ambush: Activation Cost: Moderate amount of stamina Cooldown: 90 seconds Duration: 10 seconds (submerged) The "Aqueous Ambush" ability offers a tactical advantage for hit-and-run tactics and ambushes. Players can use this ability to quickly close the gap between their target while hidden underwater, deliver a powerful strike, and then disappear back below the surface. This ability is particularly useful for surprising enemies, escaping dangerous situations, or dealing a devastating blow in PVP engagements. Effects: - Upon activation, the Irritator and its rider dive underwater, becoming nearly invisible from the surface. - The Irritator will be slowed down while using this skill. - Attacks performed while resurfacing have a bonus damage and inflict a brief disorienting effect on the target. Actions: Left Click: Venomous Bite, Irritators possess a venomous bite that inflicts not only immediate damage but also lingers, dealing continuous harm over time. Furthermore, their bites weaken the stamina of targets, reducing their ability to escape. Hold Right Click: Suction, Irritator uses its suction ability to store water in its throat and then spit it out at its enemies or its allies. (The more oxygen points it has the more water it can store) R: Sniper Mode (Similar to Velonasaur), in this mode the Left Click will now be a shot of a chargeable water projectile that deals damage if carried can cause stun and the Right Click becomes a water jet that deals damage to the player and the mount in addition to having a great knockback. X: Disorienting Screech, by emitting a piercing screech, Irritators can disorient and stun nearby enemies for a brief period, granting themselves and their allies a window of opportunity to strike. C : Tail Spin: The Irritator have a powerful tail spin attack that knocks back and deal damage enemies in a radius around it. This could be particularly effective for dealing with groups of smaller creatures. Ctrl: Fountain, Irritator will fire stored water upwards spraying water in a circular area granting the hydrate bonus to self and allies. (This ability grants the hydrated bonus even to creatures that don't normally have this effect, such as Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, and Tyranosaurus) Passive Skills: - Deals double damage against aquatic creatures such as mantas, plesiosaurus, dunkleosteus and megalodons. - Eating fish will give you increased health regeneration speed (Same as Argentavis buff when eating dead animals) - The more the Irritator runs the faster it will get (Same applies in water) - Has the hydrated effect (Same effect as Spino, Tropical Wyvern and Shadowmane) Increases damage, movement speed and health regeneration. - Irritator have a immunity to Cnidaria and Electrophorus stun. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: The Irritator in this scenario could play the role of a water mount, as it has a high speed of movement in the water and strength enough to face the dangers that the ocean has to offer, in addition its skills with water can help you on land thanks to its ability to hydrate itself with the water it stores in its throat. PvP: In this scenario the Irritator can play the role of Support for allied creatures since its ability to splash water in an area gives its allies the hydrated effect making them faster and cause more damage, besides that it can also serve as turret protecting your base with your water projectiles that can cause stun being excellent against flying creatures being able to knock them down making them subject to attacks on land.
  8. One of the largest arks, and one with the largest stretches of land, there are many things to see on Ragnarok, and many dangers scattered around the various biomes. One creature however, has adapted to live comfortably in any of the many environments on Rag, and has worked its way up the food chain not through brawn, but through intelligence. Introducing Caudipteryx! One of the most intelligent, diverse, and surprisingly ruthless creatures on Rag! Caudipteryx are medium sized creatures, about the same size as a carno. When wild, they can be found walking, running, flying, or even swimming around, often hunting smaller creatures- or avoiding larger ones. Though they usually see a survivor as food, the intelligence of this creature isn't to be underestimated. If they sense danger or take too much damage, they'll simply run away. Likewise if they observe survivors cooperating with other creatures, it can peak their interest... Just don't get too close to one, or you'll be faced with their razor-sharp beaks and the weaponized feathers on their necks. Taming method- Caudipteryx will become nuetral and avoid, but watch the player if they have a shoulder pet. If they observe the player feeding their shoulder pet, they may come close and accept food, though each Caudipteryx prefers a different food, ranging from sarco skin, allo brain, yuty lung, basilo blubber, and tuso tentacles. After feeding a Caudipteryx enough, they will enter a passive state and allow the player to mount them, causing the player to have time exact key presses to avoid being thrown off. Survive the ride and you'll earn the trust of the Caudipteryx to be your own. Abilities Bite- Their sharp beaks can harvest wood, berries, meat, and have an affinity for gathering special drops. Defeating a creature such as a sarco with the bite attack has a chance to double the tribute items you receive. Double Jump- Caudipteryx are able to do a sort of double jump by flapping their wings, and attacking while airborne causes them to slash at the ground, dealing extra damage while avoiding the attacks of other creatures. Flight- By holding spacebar, Caudipteryx can fly and glide, though these actions use a lot of stamina. Swimming- Caudipteryx are excellent swimmers, and have adapted to be able to breathe underwater, still able to bite and use their feather projectiles underwater. They can even harvest pearls! Feather Throw- Caudipteryx can aim and fire off the feathers from their necks, which are surprisingly durable and sharp! Being struck with a feathery slows and bleeds those hit. Defense Mode- Caudipteryx are intelligent enough to be excellent defense creatures, you can mark an allied tame or player, yourself, or your own structures in defense mode, and even help your Caudipteryx record a path if you want to. By default, Caudipteryx will remain still around their marked target, but if they sense any hostility toward the target, they'll enter a turret mode and fire off feathers at the hostile, they can even shoot down explosives! If they or their target take damage in this state, Caudipteryx will actively attempt to avoid incoming attacks and keep firing their feathers, making them incredibly deadly on defense. If an enemy player or tame gets too close, they'll resort to using their bite and claw attacks, and do everything they can to defend the marked target. If a path is marked, they'll even patrol the path and perform the same actions. Caudipteryx that get separated from their marked target will even automatically make their way back to it. Scout Mode- When commanded into scout mode, Caudipteryx can lock onto any creature, player, or structure and identify levels, health, torpidity, food, and armor levels of their target! When placed on scout mode without a rider, Caudipteryx will enter a form of turret mode and remain still, identifying nearby hostiles by locking onto them and revealing them to allies until the enemy gets too far away. They can't detect multiple creatures like a parasaur, but the target they lock onto will be permanently visible to their allies until unmarked! Crouch- While on the ground, Caudipteryx can crouch very low to the ground and use their flexible limbs to sort of "slither" forward. They can fit through crouch spaces! Passive Defense- If a creature tries to dismount their rider, be it a flyer, purlovia, or even a thyla, Caudipteryx will instead launch an automatic counter attack and stun the offending creature. And the last ability of Caudipteryx, is their rest ability! Caudipteryx feathers, just not the ones on their necks, are very soothing and soft. If a Caudipteryx cuddles up to an allied player or dino and uses their rest ability, all the allies in range will start to get a slight healing buff, and players will be completely insulated from the elements while nearby! If Caudipteryx has extra food, it will even feed starving allies by 10 food points to prevent them from starving to death. And that's it for Caudipteryx, all terrain and with many uses, I hope you like them! The image is an ai generated representation of what I think they should look like.
  9. Imagine flying, diving into the water and snatching up a manta, meg or a basilo then taking back off into the sky, transporting your water dinos to another location the other side of the map without having to go/swim around or cryoing them. A quetz that can swim, (carry a base?) and can transport water dinos.
