WILD Bombyx Mandarina can be found in egg form inside bushes near rare flowers. These can only be picked using a sickle, as they are very fragile. Once gathered, one must be quick to hatch the eggs, for they spoil quite fast once they are separated from the leaves. To hatch the eggs they need to be deposited in crops. Once hatched, the larvaes will start consuming huge amounts of fiber until the reach the pupa phase. After some time, the insect will break free form the pupa, resulting in a beautiful moth. They are an example of sexual dimorphism, as females present more vibrant colors and are bigger than the male counterpart. DOMESTICATED Once domesticated, the silkmoth becomes unable to fly or persist outside human care. However, this insect will provide survivors with an efficient production of an unique organic silk and clay. These valuable products are different from the rest, as they can be used to craft new sets of clothing and robust brick buildings. Silk can be gathered from the female moth, while clay is produced by the male. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLOTHING Female moths produce an unique silk that can be used to craft new victorian/gothic clothing. This new clothing can be crafted only inside the female moth inventory. The idea for this new sets is to be used as roleplaying clothing, as they don't provide much armor compared to flak sets (although provides a good temperature protection). However, one can level up an exclusive skill for the female moth: the crafting quality. This increases the clothing armor up to chitin tier. With breeding and imprinting this could change pairing it with flak tier. My idea for this new clothes is to look something similar to the Volkihar vampire armor from Skyrim or something similar to victorian fantasy clothes. BUILDING Male moths on the other hand produce an special paste similar to clay. This can be used to craft new brick structures resembling Victorian Era buildings. The new structures need to be crafted again inside the male moth inventory. In contrast to the crafting quality skill, one can improve the speed production skill allowing to gather more moth clay in faster time. My idea for this new tier is to resemble the Bloodborne building styile, allowing to craft darker and grimmer structure, with long narrow windows, carved doorways and arcs and also, using this new clay with raw metal, being able to craft new styled oil lamposts and fences.

The server is for the PS4 console. Is there a way for an admin to build structures on a PVP server that can't be damaged? I would like to have various structures placed throughout the map for events, but want them to not be able to be damaged by anyone.

Hey survivors! So, I log in to Ark (Playstation, PvE gen2 map) last night and had someone claim I'd reported his base and gotten some structures destroyed (a day after helping him with missions lol), but thought nothing of it after the issue was resolved. Fast forward to today and I noticed there were random walls missing in my base too, 3 tek walls at the top of my building were auto-decayed. I know singular structures can be demolished in 8 hours but this was on top of a pretty large base, impossible for them to be considered a single structure under normal circumstances. So, I wasnt too worried as it was only a small number of structures, but figured id put in a bug report / support ticket to make them aware that something is causing this to happen, and it seems I cant report issues or contact support, possibly due to refusing the pretty bad compensation of losing a cryofridge of top stat dinos, the link redirects as something following "User+Suspended". (I didnt spam the system, I did say the offer was pretty disgusting given the effort, but there were no swearing, spam, just outright said no to the offered replacements). Obviously losing the walls is no big deal at all but its kinda worrying that if theres larger issues in the future, or if I find bugs such as this and cant report them. Is there any way to get an official response on the matter? Cheers for any help Esk

Is there any chance of a human TLC pass, updating the old models and animations with something fresher, maybe add in npc tribes you can befriend or attack? I'm aware that there are mods currently, but most are outdated and at any point the mod creators can let it die, so it'd be great to see them added into the game without mods. It'd be cool to befriend (tame) npc tribes, maybe even get quests from some, kinda like how you can get quests in genesis. While this would be more suited for PVE or Singleplayer, it would really change up how the game feels. Structures could use a TLC pass as well, They could look so much better based on other games related to ark, Arkitect Structures (atlas) mod is a must have imo when playing because it all just looks soo good, especially thatch and stone tiers. Another idea is armor skins or just new armor, like NPC humans i'm aware there are mods currently, but it'd be so much better to have these as part of the game, rather then depending on a mod. More primitive styled armors, kinda like we saw in the ark 2 cinematic or outfits like you'd find in atlas or dark and light would add more variety to the style of the game. They could share the same armor levels as current tiers, or as skins just give more style variety to survivors. I just see the potential ark still has and how the modding scene can continue to inspire devs with adding content into the game itself and It always sucks when a mod stops being updated and abandoned when it makes ark more enjoyable. All of these would be great to consider going forward into the future, keeping Ark1 fresh interesting as Ark2 proceeds forward. And if the rumors about UE5 updates to ark are true, this would be a perfect time to do things such as this. Have Funsies!

Hello, I would like to suggest that that all what will be suggested be taken into consideration for players to possibly have within their arks. 1. Dino Tek Pods: These will be like a Cryopods but instead of freezing the creature it will be like a pokeball, but cost the player element to use. This item will allow the player not only store their creatures, but with what else is on this list will help them out in the long run. This Tool will require Polymer, Metal, Crystal, and Element to craft. 2. Dino Healer: This goes in hand with the Dino Tek Pods where you can do a mass heal of your creatures, but you need to provide the machine with Medical Brews and food to heal the creatures. This Structure will require Obsidian, Polymer, Metal, Electronics, Element, and Crystal to craft. This will require power o run and maintain. 3. High Tek Tranq Rifle: This weapon will be a boss drop and requires both Narcotics and Element to knock all creatures out. This Weapon will require Oil, Polymer, Element, Metal, Electronics to craft. I see this item will be configurable via a wheel to determine how much Narcotics will be used to knock what ever creature the player is targeting to knock out. This Weapon can be used underwater to compensate for the different types of tranq darts being used on underwater creatures. 4. New Tek Saddles: This is one that I think players would love to see new Tek Saddles for Creatures like the Raptors, Spinosaurus, Yutyrannus, Andrewsarchus, Daeodon, and maybe even the Drakes. These creatures are viable for any tribes that should have Tek Saddles. 5. Tek Storage Cubes: This Item will allow the player to store items all items except for Element, and it's different forms, alongside Primal Crystals, an the Dino Tek Pods / Cryopods that have creatures stored within them from being stored within it. Think of this as a high tech Bag of Holding. There is also the option to have them be installed with a freezing mode that will keep all forms of food, water, seeds, and organic polymer when out in dangerous areas to harvest vast amounts of those resources for the base. The Player could even color coordinate them to make it easier for them to identify them when making their next moves. This Tool will require Polymer, Metal, a Fridge, a Vault, an Element to craft. This will be a boss drop at the easiest level. 6. Tek Storage System: This is an advanced storage structure that will require the player to store items digitally except for Element and its different forms, Dino Tek Pods / Cryopods either storing creatures, or not. This will be a boss drop at the medium level. This Structure will require Polymer, Crystal, Metal, a Fridge, a Vault, Electronics, and Element for the base with special storage drives that require Polymer, Crystal, Metal, Electronics, and Element to house certain items to make transferring from location to location. This too will require power to run and maintain. 7. Tek Multi Tool: This Weapon / Tool will allow players to harvest resources even underwater, but be a step up from the Mining Drill with the option for healing tamed creatures. This will also be an easy boss drop. This Weapon / Tool will require Polymer, Crystal, Metal, a Mining Drill, Oil, Electronics, an Element to craft. These are what I'm suggesting to be added to ARK for players to enjoy. What are your thoughts on any of these points that could be added to the game??
