Livyatan - sea predator with submarine saddle (walk in saddle)
Abaddon23 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The Submarin Saddle!! It is supposed to be a walk in saddle, a indoor submarine saddle as a little base an armory. the biggest saddle ever in the ARK history!! And he have also a periscope in it!! the ideas from ThatWAFFLEGuy49 My suggestion for the saddle is, as explained above, a metal saddle that encloses the riders (which can hold a similar number of players to a diplo) and provides them with oxygen, allows for missiles to be fired out of the top and into the air to hit targets on land that are targeted via an aiming system that uses the RTS system to click where the missile (which would Rocket Propelled Grenades for normal ammo or Rocket Homing Missiles if the rider just wants to set the target and forget it for continuous firing on that one particular spot). It could also have a second saddle which would be cheaper to create, but wouldn't provide oxygen to riders and would resemble a simple wooden ship on the back of the Livyatan with cannons along the sides for whale defense (just as Davy Jones intended). It would also gain a defensive buff if it is fed a Megacheleon shell fragment, an speed buff if fed a megalodon tooth, or can be enraged into an attack buff if fed a tuso tentacle. My personal suggestion for taming a Livyatan is to use harpoon guns and tranq spear bolts to lower the "rage" meter while it's trying to run away, then feeding by hand once it's been soothed (via similar minigame to the Equus, where the survivor holds onto one of its fins while it's thrashing about until it can be fed to increase the taming percentage), then working together with it to either kill whatever prey it is currently hunting (like an Amargasaurus, but easier, as there will be a prompt revealing what the Livyatan is craving at that moment) or, if you're lucky enough to have the organs it wants specifically (Megacheleon shell fragments, megalodon teeth, or Tuso tentacles) on hand, you can feed it the organs by hand for a little bit of an increased taming speed instead of hunting down the prey and killing it. Knocking it out results in the Livyatan drowning, as it still has to breach the surface at some point to refill its lungs, although it can hold its breath for an incredibly long amount of time. or a other saddle idea: Rainboy from the Fjördur Submission!! so it will be similar to the astrocetus but underwater, and its saddle will be basicly the top of a submarine. and instead of manned turret it has homing or normal torpedo(kinda like the rocker launcher ammo where it has homing and non homing.) and instead of the bombing ability it will have cruise missile. by using this ability to either will use it like the cruise missile we have in the game rn( you have to control it yourself) or it you can set a location for it to hit. and player will not drain oxygen when riding it. to balance it out. to use the cruise missiles. every shot will cost tuso tenticle(s). (similar to how magamasaur need metal ingot and astrocetus needs ambergris. ) and it is weak to mosasaurus and is very slow. and then saddle will have a enclosed prebuild room that is water free. kinda like a mixture between a platform saddle and a underwater vacuum compartment. where it will just be a empty room and you can build in it. The Submarin Saddle!! It is supposed to be a walk in saddle, a indoor submarine saddle as a little base an armory. the biggest saddle ever in the ARK history!! And he have also a periscope in it!! KapitanKibiro02 ideas from the Fjördur Submission!! Wild: This Beast is quite slow and lumbering at first, simply swimming about rather absentmindedly all throughout the sea. Seemingly aware of it's status as "The Biggest and Baddest thing in any body of water", until either a starving Mosa or Gutsy Tuso provokes it. Then it quickly goes on the offensive. Also like it's more modern relative the "Sperm Whale" it has incredibly versatile and effective Sonar Capabilities, however due to Livyatan's massive size and almost frighteningly somehow higher intelligence, it appears to have been able to weaponize it's Sonar Capabilities, giving it a highly stunning projectile, to smaller creatures (like say, a survivor looking to tame it) this may deal severe, lethal damage. But to something as big as a Mosasaur it's much more effective as a stun option, allowing Livyatan all the time in the world to swim up to it's newfound prey and bite a massive chunk out of it.Tamed: Despite it reacting to most land creatures with more curiosity than aggression, Livyatan's ability to kill a Survivor without even needing to touch it means it's safe to say that taming a creature this absolutely massive and powerful is no easy task. However once tamed this becomes an incredibly reliable companion and mobile fortress. It's Saddle being able to be built upon whilst also allowing submersive capabilities. I've seen warring tribes pit Livyatan against each other in an "epic sea battle" for rich underwater resources. Also as a way to easily destroy enemy ocean platforms, Livyatan is able to use a very very short quick burst of speed and use it's massive head as a battering ram. needless to say, if I were a pirate or someone who lived for the open seas, you could do absolutely no better than this Lethal Leviathan. In all seriousness having a creature that's meant to be like an actual massive slow ship that kinda goes at it's own momentum. Instead of just "an underwater rex" like the majority of what's in the ocean feels like. there's no variety in the oceans except for the Tuso because it has unique attacks and abilities and the Megachelon because you can permanently breath and build a base on it's back, but there's not enough space or build limit to make it into a proper "Armored Sub" and not to mention it's attacks are pathetic. having the Livyatan fill the role of a fusion of a Nuclear Sub and a Gangplank Galleon or something, as well as just naturally having good stats would completely revitalize Ocean Combat and make it much more diverse and fun for a lot of players, and would also double as a way to actively (and fairly) attack players on Ocean Platforms as well. IskOsc ideas from the Fjördur Submission!! "Wild: Livyatan Oceanusrex is the largest and most powerful aquatic animal I've ever seen on the ARK, even slightly beating the leedsichthys in sheer size and power! Because of this, they're the absolute top predator in the ocean, hunting everything from plesiosaurs to mosasaurs to even tusotuthis, which happens to be their favorite food! There's a reason they're called the King of The Ocean! Like any whale, these creatures have echolocation abilities, however livyatans use their extremely loud sounds not only as a way to navigate and communicate, but also as a stunning and deafening area attack, which it primarily uses to stop incomming attacks and creatures attempting to flee, so escaping it won't work either! Domesticated: Although tough to do, it is indeed possible to gain the trust of a livyatan. If you do manage to, then you have one of the strongest mounts possible! Not only is it strong, but it can use its echolocation as both a way to scan the area for nearby hostiles and as a supersonic attack, stunning and weakening creatures nearby. Being the natural predator of the tusotuthis, it's evolved to do especially well against them, killing them easier than almost any other creature." General description: As mentioned in the dossier, the livyatan is the new strongest water creature in ark, being strong enough to take down anything in its path in a fair 1v1. It's basically the giga of the ocean, having the same spawn rate and stuff, perhaps having a bit lower stats but making up for it with more stamina and its echolocation, which it uses both like a parasaur does and as a sonic blast that stuns, deals damage to and weakens nearby creatures. Being the king of the ocean, it will attack absolutely anything that's not either smaller than a basilosaurus or an alpha named alpha tusotuthis. Yes, they will fight and stand their ground, even sometimes killing wild alpha tusotuthis. Abilities: lmb: Bite - A basic bite, its main way to kill. rmb: Sonic Blast - The livyatan lets out a huge sound blast, stunning any enemy creatures as well as dealing damage and increasing the amount of damage they take for a short while. c; Sonar - Like the parasaurs. Turret Mode: The same as the parasaur. You can change it to other tribes/attacking creatures only, and in doing so will also change the manual sonar to do the same. Passive: Squid hunter - Livyatan deals more damage to tusotuthis and their alpha variant, as well as taking reduced damage from them and being unable to be blinded by their ink. Hi all, I would like to introduce a new way that herbivores could be used to join the fight, Macrauchenia sommesonus! Macrauchenia was a lipotern ungulate living during the Pleistocene epoch until around 10,000 years ago and looked like a giant llama with a trunk. In Ark its trunk could be used for sound-based combat and deafening opponents. Macrauchenia was a large herbivore that would be able to hold its own against most predators on Ragnarok as well as harvest thatch and berries. As a pack animal Macrauchenia is specialised at carrying building pieces, perfect for assisting cave runs and boss fights. Here's some reasons why Macrauchenia would be great for Ragnarok- · Shout attack- the more Macrauchenia are using the attack, the louder the sound! Damage caused by their attack will stack, eventually preventing enemy command whistles and courage roars and doing crazy high damage. · Has a sound buff caused by enemy roars · Reduced carry weight on building pieces · Tamed using wardrums · A herbivore that’s good in combat, and a more unique mechanic to fight with Dossier Wild Since humanity all but disappeared, the Arks became much quieter. That is, except for one creature who’s booming calls fill the silence- Macrauchenia. These giant, long-nosed llamas wander across the plains and communicate at distance with deep, trumpeting calls. And the more Macrauchenia that get involved, the more deafening the noise becomes. Wild Macrauchenia are drawn towards other loud noises; more musical tribes have been able to domesticate them by playing wardrums. They are the only creatures I have seen that even enjoy the roaring of predators and are able to defend themselves against a louder foe much more effectively than a silent one. Domesticated Macrauchenia can be used as a beast of burden just as well as camels back home. They are particularly adept at carrying walls and flooring material to wherever you plan to build. One single Macrauchenia is not very powerful in combat, however a large group of them can be devastating. With enough Macrauchenia you can completely deafen your opponent, making them unable to hear commands. The only protection I have found from this is to wear a fur hat to muffle their sound. Wild behaviour · Lives in the plains, desert and snow (near rexes and yutys) · Only attacks when provoked · If nearby rexes or yutys roar, then will become aggressive to all nearby enemies (and receive a defence buff) · Herbivore Taming · Will move towards wardrums when played · Starts a minigame where you play the wardums to the same rhythm as the Macrauchenia’s noise. Good timing will tame more quickly. Losing the beat will reduce taming effectiveness. Utility Pack mule · Fast walk speed and slow stamina drain · Reasonably fast swim speed for a large herbivore (similar speed to an Amarga) · High stamina (450), weight (800) and health (720) stats · Weight reduction of 50% on all building materials In combat · Bulky herbivore with a similar power level to chalicotheriums and woolly rhinos · Significant power buff when roared at, either by rexes or yutys. Similar buff to bug killer on Megatheriums. · Immune to enemy fear roars · Main attack is the sound attack but can also kick and bite for reasonably good damage. · As it’s a herbivore can eat sweet veggie cakes Sound attack · Attack that has a medium distance and large AOE (meaning they can stand behind your more tanky tames and still do damage) · Disables nearby enemy parasurs · Takes damage twice per second and has fast stamina drain · Very low damage when only using one Macrauchenia but stacks as you add more creatures becomes exponentially more powerful. Damage is also increased by levelling. · Three or more using a sound attack will trigger the deafened debuff- blocks targets from hearing commands and courage roars · Damage caps at six Macrauchenia- at this stage the damage would be insane and probably enough to shred through many bosses · Can be blocked by wearing a fur hat or Tek helmet Damage calculations for sound attack · Starts at base 1 damage per tick if 100% melee · Every Macrauchenia added doubles the power of the attack · Although these numbers don’t seem too huge this attack has a longer range than biting, and is much faster. The DPS is probably not far behind that of gigas and would be much higher than many rexes. Number of Macrauchenia attacking Base DPS at 100% melee Total DPS if all have 100% melee Base DPS at 1000% melee Total DPS if all have 1000% melee 1 1 1 10 10 2 2 4 20 40 3 4 12 40 120 4 8 32 80 320 5 16 80 160 800 6 32 192 320 1920 7 64 448 640 4480 (is this too broken?) · 6 Macrauchenia with 1000% melee will do faster damage to most bosses than Deinonychus bleed (so there may need to be a damage cap to stop this being completely broken). 7 1000% damage Macrauchenia could kill a level 1 wild giga in less than 20 seconds · These calcs are not even using the yuty courage buff or sound buff mentioned earlier- maybe these should not affect the sound attack to stop Macrauchenia from absolutely destroying everything What are your thoughts? I've tried to make this concept a little balanced (but have got carried away with damage calc at the end). Are there any changes you would make? Thanks for reading!

Zygophyseter --> Takes buffs under the sea
Abaddon23 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Zygophyseter: We get a creature for the land part and we get one for the air, what ist missing? Yes the sea, so we need a creature for the sea Discriptionof Zygophyseter from Wikipedia: Zygophyseter varolai is an extinct sperm whale that lived during the Tortonian age of the Late Miocene 11.2 to 7.6 million years ago. It is known from a single specimen from the Pietra Leccese Formation in Italy. It was a member of a stem group of fossil macroraptorial sperm whales (often shortened to "raptorial") also including Brygmophyseter, Acrophyseter, and Livyatan. It probably grew to be around 6.5 to 7 meters (21 to 23 ft) in length and shared some characteristics with other raptorials, such as large teeth with tooth enamel that were functional in both the upper and lower jaws which the modern sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) lacks. It also had a beak, the ability to echolocate prey, and could have probably swum faster than the modern-day sperm whale which can reach 4 kilometers per hour (2.5 mph). These were probably used in the capture of large prey, such as large fish, seals, and whales. In fact, its common name, the killer sperm whale, refers to its feeding habits that would have had a resemblance to the modern-day killer whale (Orcinus orca). To this description he needs his sounds like a yuti, you can buff or debuff sea creatures. 1. dmg buff 2. tank buff 3. speed buff 4. scare buff 5 echo sounder He is stronger in a pack, he needs his family and they can kill everyone together in the sea! Taming: He swim in a pack with babys, you must tame the baby of the group. You put Basilo Blubber of the "0" in the inventory and feed the baby the Blubber. oh i find my old post from the last vote: The archaeologists have find new discoveries about the Zygophyseter: He is the the killer whale of the old times, his passive is predator of the sea: If he swims around in 3 groups, other water animals dont attack him except Tuso and Mosa. And he make 1,5x more damage vs a Tuso. His other passive is intilligent predator: If he eats jellyfish or eels he can make shocking bite attacks on others, but he is immune to it. Sea view: his rider sees everything clear and bright in the deap sea. left klick: bite with passive (intilligent predator) right klick: headbutt -> he can make his opponent drowsi x- klick: flippers blow -> beats with his fin and can hit rider down c- klick: call buffs Call buffs: you have many call buffs with the Zygo and can swap the calls with the R like the new Tek-bow. But every call have a cooldown. And you can call only one buff. echo sounder: can uncover all livings being like the Para, you can also see how far away the animal or person is. heal call: can only be used with Zygo groups, you can heal all group member. damage call: all buffed animal get a damage buff. attackspeed call: all buffed animal get a attackspeed buff. tank call: all buffed animal get a tank buff, he get a fewer damage from opponents. slow call: all debuffed opponents are slower down. confusion call: all debuffed opponents are confused and swim awy. Form many Ideas feel free and write your ideas under the post I hope you like this creature and vote him up for the better sea in ARK -
Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Its name means "Crown Dragon" due to the crest on its head, This was one of the first species of Tyrannosaurus. From its hind legs you can see that it was a fairly fast and agile predator. Well, now that you know this creature,Let's look at the suggestions I have for this creature: Before we talk about its abilities, I would like to highlight a couple of basic things that I would like this creature to have (And sorry for my bad English): Its base health is similar to that of a Sabertooth. Little weight: it is a light and fast animal, it cannot carry so much weight. His abilities use a lot of stamina. It has a moderate base attack, but makes up for it with a 5 second duration bleed, which does not stack, but resets after each attack. Is one of the fastest creatures on the island. WILD: This creature will appear in the wild in groups of 3, which, like Raptor or Deinonychus, will have an alpha that will be Guanlong of a higher level. When Guanlong detects a player, two things can happen, first: that Guanlong is not in the player's field of vision, if so, it will imitate a random roar. of the strongest creatures on the island such as Rex or Giga, in the case of being in the field of vision, Guanlong will begin to attack the player directly. DOMESTICATION: To tame a Guanlong, you must avoid detection by wearing a camouflage suit or eating Calien Soup, then you must separate it from its group, either killing or distracting them, having him far enough away from his group, you need to feed him rotten meat, which will raise his unconsciousness until he falls asleep, after that Just feed him meat until he's tamed. DOMESTICATED: He has a pack roar, when using it he gains 15% speed and 25% attack, it lasts about 100 seconds, but has a 30 second cooldown. Guanlong can make high and low frequency sounds, he can even imitate animal sounds, the latter of which can be used to intimidate or annoy survivors. with terrifying roars, or to specifically attract large creatures, such as Carcharodontosaurus or Yutyrannus, which will target Guanlong and start chasing him, which is perfect for putting creatures in traps or making it possible for another player to shoot from the other side. High and low frequency sounds can make a big difference in combat, as they will stun creatures (large or small) for a short period of time. depending on the animal you want to stun, you must raise or lower the frequency of the sound, the bigger the animal, the less stun time it will have, for example, a Giga would be stunned for 2.5-3 seconds, a Titanosaur might be stunned for 2 seconds, a Raptor for 9 seconds, and a Dodo for 15 seconds (I don't know why you would attack a dodo though), obviously this ability will have a cooldown (of 30 seconds), Guanlong can also buff his allies using his ability, giving them 30% more stamina for 12 seconds. but then you may wonder: What happens if you put many Guanlong's next to each other? During the cooldown, a player could get off one and onto another... but the solution I came up with is the following: if there are more than 3 Guanlong's in an area (I didn't think of a specific radius), and one uses its sound ability, the rest of the Guanlong's will be stunned for twice as long as the enemy creature was stunned, if there are only 3 guanlongs in the area, and one is on cooldown, when you get on another and use its ability, it will stun the enemy for 25% less time, in addition to exhausting three times the stamina of the Guanlong used. Here is his dossier, which I made for this creature :3! (Sorry for my bad English...again)

This suggestion is for Heracles inexpectacus, a flightless parrot that could be tamed by playing the wardrums and is heavilly themed around sound. I'd like to introduce you to one of the more bizzare creatures that could be found on the arks- Heracles inexpectatus, the giant parrot! Heracles lived during the Miocene 19-16 million years ago in New Zealand. It's possibly the ancestor to the modern Kakapo, a flightless parrot known for it's booming courtiship call. Despite their small size, many parrots have an extremely powerful bite, some strong enough to break bones! Heracles would be a shoulder pet with multiple useful abilites both in base and battle. While it is slow and cannot be ridden, it makes up for this with its good bulk and unique set of abilities. It's smaller stature makes it an excellent indoor base defense creature and it's prowess in battle is not to be underestimated. The main use of Heracles is as a shoulder pet that it can squawk in battle. This applies the deafened debuff to nearby enermy dinosaurs and players- affected players will be unable to hear nearby sounds. Affected dinosaurs will be unable to respond to player whistles, or dinosaur roars (blocking the yuty buff). This effect lasts for 15 seconds. The effect can be prevented by wearing a fur helmet (looks like ear muffs!) which can be worn by both players and dinos. In the wild it will make both squawks and drumming sounds. Where it spawns can spawn an in-wild structure (the Heracles pit) , like a beaver dam, that can contain useful items in its inventory (maybe silica pearls, gems, metal ore). Going to close to the pit will trigger aggression. When standing on the pit they can make drumming noises. It can be tamed by attracting it over by playing war drums then passively feeding it seeds (plant X or Y best, then vegetable seeds) This is a cool creature that while most don't know exists or wouldn't expect on the Ark, would be a very fun addition that balances well into the metagame! Dossier- Wild- I have encountered so many weird and wonderful creatures on the Arks but the large flightless parrot, Heracles inexpectatus, truly lives up to its name as one of the most suprising. Living deep in the jungles, you're far more likely to hear a wild Heracles than see one; on top of their deafening squawks every midnight, they communicate across long distances with a booming drumming made by a pit they've dug into the ground. While usually timid, they can be fiercely territorial around their pits and will noisilly attack or chase away any small creature that ventures too near. If you would like to get close enough to tame them, you can entice them away from their pits by using your own drums before offering them their favourite food- plant species X seeds. Tamed- A tamed Heracles makes for a suprisingly versatile companion. A Heracles can be trained to squawk on command, deafening nearby dinosaurs and preventing them from hearing their tribe's commands. But beware- any humans or dinosaurs wearing a fur hat will be unaffected by these shrieks. Even when not sitting on someone's shoulder, a tamed Heracles is strong in battle, able to ignore the armour provided by dinosaurs' saddles. One tribe even used the sound of war drums to lift their Heracles' battle spirits! But my favourite use for a Heracles is as a pet; they'll even show their affection back by gifting you with shiny items they have collected! Diet: Herbivore Tameable: Yes (passive tame) Rideable: No Breedable: Yes Stats- Health: 550 (fat bird has bulk) Stamina: 100 Oxygen: 200 Food: 1000 Weight: 220 Melee damage: 50 (being bitten by a parrot really hurts!) Torpidity: 400 Abilites when tamed- Shoulder pet that applies 'Deafened' debuff to enemis on command (can be preventted by wearing a fur hat). This prevents dinos from hearing player commands, yuty roars, shadowmane roars or mammoth roars. Lays eggs at the same rate as a dodo- these eggs can be used for Regular Kibble When left to wander will occasionally gift the player with items they have found- these can include gems, metal ore, or items of quality depending on the level of the Heracles In battle can bypass enemy saddle armour and wearboots for armour Significant buff (x5 attack, x0.2 damage taken) when a player is playing drums or a mammoth saddle nearby- this would be hilarious if it could be used in boss fights Effects on metagame- Useful as a shoulder pet in PVP, and its ability to be blocked by fur helmets gives dinos that can wear these a chance to be more viable Early game tame- when you're fighting other bobs with your dilos and dodos become the ultimate bob with your very own battle parrot A new way to gather resources Caving- although it cannot be ridden, is still a tanky creature that can fit through small spaces Small enough to fit in your base to ruin any potential raider's day Parrots killing a dragon would be GOAT If you play the warmdrums near it then it should dance like parrots do in Minecraft Let me know if you have any other suggestions for this creature!

The Olorotitan (meaning giant swan) - The sound based dinosaur/ better Parasaurus. It's an Hadrosaurus like the Parasaurus. It could have sound based abilities with several different variants with a different crest, giving different sound abilities/ utilities. I like the Idea of a sound based dinosaurus since we don't have one already and with sound/songs it's possible to give it several abilities and utilities. It's basic attack could be either a headbutt which can cause a little bleed effect (given its axe shaped crest). And a tail attack what can push back smaller creatures. It could have decent speed and be a good swimmer. For the sound based abilities - So each crest have two sound abilities which can be diffuse (all around) or concentrated (in front of it). The trigger for each is to hold thé key for diffuse and one pouch to concentrated. First crest: utility First song: Diffuse: time for breeding and gestation/hatching time is faster Concentrated: take care of a baby créature (for the imprint bonus etc) Second song: Diffuse: all plants around grow faster and need less care Concentrated : the targeted plants will give more harvestables Second crest : Taming First song: Diffuse: Echolocation. Scan the area to see wild dinos around and explorer notes/around (like desmodus, Wolf) Concentrated : Can track a targeted dino. Second song : Diffuse: Dinos around are less likely to attack Concentrated : Lullaby. Increase the targeted dino torpor. Third Crest: Healer/Defense First song : Diffuse : Concentrated : Second song : Diffuse: Concentrated : Fourth Crest: Offense First song : Diffuse : Concentrated Second song : Diffuse: Concentrated : To tame it it could be a new instrument, likely a flute. When you approach the Olorotitan it will look at you and emit a sound that you have to copy in order to begin the taming process. Once it's done, it will flee a little then you have to chase it and it will do another sound once your next to it again (may be a little more complex over time) and you'll have to make the same sound with the flute again until tamed. To breed it, you have to be carefull. Since the incubation temperature will type of crest it will settle the type of crest it will have on e hatched, so it will influence it abilities.
