Psittacosaurus, the echolocatiting combat pet
Reaverking posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Introducing Psittacosaurus! The newest shoulder pet on aberration Name: Psittacosaurus Petramiculator Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Neutral Wild In the wild , Psittacosaurus can be seen roaming in small groups or alone. Although small, most predators seem to leave them alone. And I know why, they aren’t afraid to use their quills. I’ve seen raptors get a mouthful of quills during an attack on these little guys. Domesticated Due to the quills and attitude towards predators , I thought psittacosaurus couldn’t be tamed. Then I learned that some survivors have trained them to spit rocks at their enemies. Rock spitting isn't the only thing they’re good for. The quills glow and can be used to keep enemies away. What’s even more fascinating is their ability to echolocate, which allows them to find food and those same rocks. Some survivors use it to find other resources as well.-

I haven’t read through the other things yet, if it turns out this has already been submitted I apologies The darwinopterus is a small, flying carnivore that tends to be found in warmer parts of ragnorok. Female darwinopterus tend to lack the crest on the top of their heads which makes it so it’s incredibly easy to tell the two apart, these small pterosaurs tend to be much more colourful then most other creatures which makes them easier to spot whilst flying around. Because of this, Darwinopterus use their small body as an advantage and often fly or run behind rocks and into cramped spaces. They often flee when attacked and eat bodies that have been left around or hunt things smaller things like dodos, jerboas, etc, they can be domesticated in two different ways. 1• petting, feeding and protecting one. Younger darwinopterus are often found near the older ones and are the only type that can be tamed this way, the older ones are a bit more complicated. 2• killing small dinos, dragging their corpses to an adult darwinopterus and letting it eat it. Once you’ve done it a few times the darwinopterus will gain your trust begin following you around, then you do the same thing again. once it allows you to pick it up, grab it and it’ll tame. Tamed darwinopterus don’t have much they can do other then climbing onto your shoulder. However, they do have a couple helpful abilities that make them pretty useful! 1• grabbing items darwinopterus are able to grab items that you throw to them, you can also make them grab things by throwing that at the item. This is helpful for things like stealing wyvern eggs since it makes it easier to grab them without making wyverns attack you, they can also hold weapons in their mouth and attack from your shoulder if not on passive mode. (Only once tamed) 2• stealing from survivors (pvp) if you throw one at a survivor it’ll grab a random item from their inventory and bring it back to you. This will mostly be helpful for pvp though and is mostly useless on pve (unless your trying to annoy your sibling on a single player world. Also wild ones are NOT able to steal) 3• stat boosts These small critters love pets and cuddles, whenever you pet one it’ll temporarily boost their stats a small bit, which is good to do before making them steal from other players since it’ll also boost their speed and health incase they try to fight back despite have multiple good abilities, there’s also a few cons of owning them, such as their low stats, darwinopterus have low health, melee and stamina usually. However they do have decent weight ————————— https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwinopterus

Common name: Mononykus Family: Alvarezsaurid Time Period: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Active (skittish) Wild: The Mononykus is a very small theropod that spends its time hunting insects and small animals, and collecting shiny objects to ornament their burrows and nests. The name of this dinosaur, which means simply "one claw", eludes to their limitations of abilities, although they are still experts at foraging through termite mounds, as well as climbing trees to evade potential predators. Due to its small frame, it can outrun most creatures on the Ark's, and while carrying any goodies that it snagged in the process with ease. Due to the Mononykus being easily spooked, it will tend to steer clear of anything creature or human larger than itself, although it cannot resist any shiny metals or gemstones. Domesticated: A unique ability of the Mononykus is its uncanny sense of direction towards valuables, including crystals, obsidian, and other gemstones. Once tamed, this nimble creature will be able to sit on your shoulder and sniff out any and every precious and shiny material nearby, sometimes even digging up materials straight from the ground. Its sense of smell is so attuned, it can tell the valuables within crate and supply drops, (including other players boxes). While the Mononykus will shy away from any unnecessary encounter in the wild, once tamed it will try its best to aid you with a bite from its small, sharp teeth and slashes from its two claws. It has been found that the Mononykus possesses an unexpected ability to carry heavy loads, and even being stronger at carrying valuables. Taming: To tame the Mononykus, you will need to first find one and slowly crouch or crawl up to it, as walking or running will spook it if you are too close. Once you are within range of it, drop any shiny or valuable object for it to inspect, the shinier the better. Once approved, it will take the item into its inventory and continue on until distracted by another shiny object. If the Mononykus becomes scared during the taming process, it will run away to a burrow until the threat is negated, then it will exit from the burrow and will be allowed to be tamed again. Luckily, once tamed, the Mononykus will return your shiny objects back to you, as well as a hefty reward from its unknown stash (which could include a high level item/blueprint). Abilities: Simple Bite: A bite attack that deals a moderate amount of damage. Claw Swipe: Occasionally it will lash out with its two claws, dealing a relatively large amount of damage for its size. Valuable Detection: Mononykus can detect valuables either from the shoulder mount or on the ground, and will lead you via audio and visual cues towards their locations, and once you have the Mononykus for a long enough time, you will be able to distinguish the meanings of its multitude of calls as a language for what valuable is ahead. Digging for Gold: The Mononykus will sometimes dig up sections of the ground in search of precious materials, and will almost certainly find some valuable materials, such as metal, crystals, obsidian, and other gemstones. Weight Reduction: This small creature has a hidden knack for being able to hold certain heavy materials with ease, as long as it likes the shininess of the object.
