brygmophyseter It is an odontocete cetacean related to present-day sperm whales experimenting 15 million years ago, in the Miocene in what is now Japan. description: It is a giant whale that lives around the island of the skull, the island of the volcano and near the ice, being so large it has a very reduced mobility and speed even more, but that is compensated with its very strong bites and its natural armor that makes it resist 50% less damage and can't gain unconsciousness. Wild: It feeds on school of parrot fish, megachelons, carbonemys etc. Every time she sees one of these, she will be given a buff that will make them more veiled. If she eats one of the aforementioned, she will become aggressive with everything she sees. Domestication: You have to attract a school of parrot fish to open its mouth to eat them, when it opens its mouth you have to get into it to throw the food down its throat, you will only have a few seconds more or less depending on its level, and do it all the time until it is tamed. Domesticated: once tamed you will have to put one of its two mounts (normal or naval). when it is domesticated it will lose the instinct to hunt megachelons, carbonemys... (basically it will be able to eat all kinds of meat). Attacks: as its main attack it has a very slow bite but with a lot of damage, as a secondary attack it has two consecutive blows with the fins that do not do much damage but push a lot and stun for a few seconds and finally it has a bite that catches both medium-sized dinos and a players putting them in his mouth for a few seconds and being able to give him many bites in a row (be careful with the players because once in his mouth they can throw narcotics or whatever to hurt him) Mounts: The first mount is a large cockpit with a missile launcher that uses special missiles that can go either through the water or through the air (these missiles are made inside their two mounts). and it also has 6 mini cabins with a small turret each where passengers can go. the naval mount has a large platform with two large cabins with unlimited oxygen, with three special missile launchers and another 8 small cabins that come equipped with a small turret each.

Hello everyone!, I'm here to submit a submission for the new creature for The Center map, Hope you like the idea (art isn't made by me, the art was from a book I used to read a lot) Introducing the Protostega,The Living fabricator/raft, and the Underwater Healer. Protostega is an extinct genus of sea turtles containing only 1 species, Protostega Gigas, their name means "first roof" after it's carapace and plastron, they're found in the Smoky hill chalk formation in Kansas where they live 83 million years ago, they're the second biggest sea turtles we've known so far mostly overshadowed by their bigger cousin/the largest sea turtle the Archelon which you might have known is already in the Ark Addition mod, they will join the family of being another turtle after the carbonemys and being the only sea turtle if it gets added. Wild: Protostega Gigas is known to be the largest sea turtles and frankly the only sea turtle that exist in the Ark, their passive creature and unlikely to attack back even when you hit it however they will become aggressive at the sight of a jellyfish, their body are covered with strong keratin that not even the megalodon can bleed through or any arrows that can penetrate it, that to be said they're not entirely invincible, every now and then female Protostega go to shores to lay eggs and while there they can be easily spotted and because they're so slow on land, they can become an easy meal to any large or even medium carnivore, because of that they develop a way where they lay fewer eggs then normal sea turtles to reduce their time in the shores and even with that development the eggs can be easily stolen by small critters if they can find it, few who managed to survive still has to deal the sea environment from sharks, mantas, and other nasty creatures before they can become the giant creature they're destined to become. Taming process: Because of the hard keratin skin of an adult Protostega they can't be tamed the traditional way, instead people tame them by finding their nest and growing the baby themselves, the nest can be distinguished by a small hump in the shoreline that you can dig up to observe the eggs, however they're not some kind of tactic where you grab the egg,put it in a freezer and hatch it on home,no, the eggs are dependent by the temperature of their original place meaning grabbing one will near instantly spoil the egg, which also determined that once you finished digging up and observed the eggs is to put the sand back as fast as you can to avoid them spoiling, you need to wait for them to hatch however because you've dig up the location of the nest, expect oviraptor and pegos to try and steal the egg, of course you can make them run, kill them, or just put fences to stop them from reaching the eggs, however if you do put the fence it is likely that when the eggs hatch the baby will most likely to unable to get out until you remove the fences, oh and don't need to worry of waiting for days or even weeks guarding the egg and being a sitting duck in the beach by larger carnivores or other survivors, Protostega eggs are also known to hatch much quicker than most other creatures egg with their maximum amount of time before hatching is 1 week in the wild and minimum of less than a day. Once they hatch you can claim the baby turtle and successfully tame a baby Protostega. Tamed: While still a baby, you can put them on your back in the water until they're sub adults where they can carry you while swimming through the ocean faster without you yourself losing stamina(you need to wear a cloth to make this happen) basically acting like a jetpack in the ocean increasing your swim speed without doing anything yourself but it does use the protostega's stamina which means eventually you'll be the one that needs to swim until it regain all of its stamina, when fully grown they're the tank for the ocean, being immune to debuffs such as bleed and etc and take reduced damage to Ranged attacks, they can also work as a raft by combining your existing raft to its saddle hotbar, able to dive with it as well, they're an excellent bio toxin gatherer instantly killing jellyfish and small fish, but one of the main thing about Protostega is it's actual saddle, the saddle is unlocked the same level as the fabricator and for good reason, the saddle is basically a fabricator but a little bit different, unlike the normal fabricator, they're powered by bio toxin instead of gasoline, and that they themselves are able to fix gears faster than a normal fabricator but create gears from the fabricator slower, even after all that there's still something that needs to be noted. Like Normal Sea turtles you used to see outside the Ark they need oxygen and while they can hold their breath underwater for a very long period of time, eventually they will need to resurface and take a deep breath before they can dive another time. Considering the Protostega or in fact any creature that is being submitted will need to be both useful for PvP and PvE for them to be viable as a living creature, I've decided on the abilities and their passive abilities down below. I have tried my best to at least balance them out, which will be talked about more in the weakness category. passive abilities: We've talked about how it's passive of Instantly killing jellyfish and small fish at "Tamed", but let's talk about the others, first is its lack of use of stamina when fully grown, being able to swim long distances without even getting tired, similar to that of real sea turtles as some species have been known to swim crazy long distances when in nesting and feeding ground. The second is that weight from raft structures (storage box, large storage box, vault, etc) will not affect its speed, which is inspired by one of the barsboldia abilities from the Ragnarok creature vote. The third is their immunity/resistance to debuffs and ranged attacks, debuffs such as bleed, fear, etc can't affect the Protostega and ranged attacks from harpoon gun, turrets and others will have their damage reduced by 60%. The fourth and last passive ability is what I like to call "streamline". It's a passive ability that activate when you dive the Protostega to go deeper to the ocean in which they will perform a move similar to that of the griffin and the snow owl basically diving to reach the bottom faster and being able to use it for more speed when put upwards again but in the water, this also increase the agility of the Protostega able to turn in high speed until the streamline ended, however you can only do this if you're using it's saddle or the raft version with fewer structures, if too many structures are in the raft saddle it unfortunately can't perform the streamline ability, the streamline ability will last for 20 seconds and in those 20 seconds you will be able to perform 2 unique abilities that'll be talked about below. Abilities The first ability is what I like to call "master of the ocean", it's an ability creating a healing radius healing any nearby sea creatures/creatures in the water joining the daeodon and snow owl as a healer with their capability roughly the same as a daeodon but instead of consuming food, it consumes oxygen the longer it heals. The second is it's detection ability, can only be activated when in water, once its activated for a specific frequency it'll be able to show the exact location of artifacts around the waters you're in able to detect them from the artifacts waves of energy, you can also activate it at lower frequency than the other one where it'll be able to also detect electromagnetic waves from electrician such as a generator,an outlet, lights, etc excluding the industrial machine such as the fabricator. The third and last one is a move set only being able do when in the streamlined mode, the first move is a short boost to a location that you're looking at moving frontwards acting like a torpedo able to turn in a left or right direction, it will be able to deal damage to a target but takes a huge toll in stamina, the second one is the direct opposite, it's when the Protostega flap it flippers either frontwards or downward, frontwards is where it'll go to the opposite direction, basically going backward able to be used for evading attacks or just nope out of the location you were heading, while downward is when it boost itself to the surface, both when hitting on a target can temporarily stun them, or hitting on another Protostega it will stunned the other Protostega but also stun your Protostega, like the other one it also takes a huge toll in stamina and neither can be spammed. Control: The Protostega will be able to swim both upwards and downward while also being able to go left, right and backwards without turning, they'll also be able to turn to any direction while stationary. Resources: killing a Protostega will allow you to harvest it's corpse for a small amount of biotoxin from Cnidarians,Prime fish meat from small fish and their shell which when put into a grinder will be able to collect large amount of resources, however since the shell is even tougher than your normal resources, the chances the grinder malfunctioning, broken or even exploding while grinding the shell is a possibility you'll need to look out for. Usefulness: its main uses for PvP is to raid bases that are underwater, or detecting underwater bases from their electricians. Underwater bases are known to be harder to raid as the mobility in it are different and that you can't use land creatures as they will most likely drown before reaching the base itself, with that being said the Protostega acts as both the soaker of a raid and the healer for raids , for PvE they're great gatherer for bio toxin which can be made to shocking tranq darts to make Taming creatures much more easier and make it much more safer to explore the more vast ocean the map has to give while also being able to pinpoint the artifact location outside the cave while you yourself is getting the artifact. Weaknesses: of course with great power, a weakness have to be implemented to balance it out, I've said it once that the Protostega will have reduced damage to ranged attacks but not as much for close quarter attack such as bites and others, while the damage is still reduced at around 20%, they can still be overpowered as such by a mosasaur, packs of megalodons even if they don't bleed through it's skin or really anything that can get a good hit to it up close, they're also don't have reduced to damage to Tek gear and turrets and when use the healing ability, the more creatures it's healing the faster the oxygen decreases making you to be very careful with it if you don't want it to drown while healing the sea creatures and lastly is their detection ability, while they're able to 100% pinpoint the exact location of artifacts they can't exactly pinpoint electromagnetic fields from electricians, the detection can be easily fooled by some rock formations or even waves coming from the border of the map. Why I Choose the Protostega: Considering a giant portion of the center map consist of water I decided on a extinct sea turtle as my submission but because the most popular extinct sea turtle is already in a mod and because of that will be in my opinion really unnecessary to suggest an idea that will be already technically in the game,I need to become more creative and that's where I choose the protostega, being unironically reminded by them from the game Jurassic world the game, also the water in Ark especially the one with large oceans such as the center need some kind of way to make it more alive considering it's so empty when you look at it compared to its size so adding a sea creature in my opinions will at least add the ocean to be more….. filled.

Attercopus fimbriunguis can burrow, while burrow removes effect of heatwave (you loose oxy while burrowed) Long Hairs on its leg capture moisture providing water to nearby crops, or drink the droplets Can attack from burrow grabbing human-small-medium size targets, stunning the target. can move over terrain with ease bite applies a stacking toxin that slows(or stamina drain) affect increases each stack (stacks to 5) at which point its trapped in place, with DoT affect flat dmg(%melee)+3% max hp. Poison provides similar affect as x-plant and at max stacks y plant affect. it passively produces silk Spider has a tail-like appendage, allowing it it whip up nearby silk/pearls/fiber, as well as remove topor (scales with melee), it also disarms enemy players. the secondary use of tail-like appendage will be to cast net like drag lines that will net nearby enemies at the cost of silk. (can shoot nets)
