Junzi imperialis is an extinct species of gibbon that was found in an Ancient Chinese noblewoman's tomb. The type species, based on an incomplete skull, was named Junzi imperialis in 2018 by Samuel Turvey and colleagues. It is believed that when alive, around 2,200 to 2,300 years ago, the type specimen was owned by Lady Xia, the mother of King Zhuangxiang of Qin and grandmother of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. The holotype skull was discovered when the tomb was opened in 2004. The living animal is thought to have been a member of Lady Xia's menagerie of luxury pets, which also included cranes, leopards, lynxes and a black bear. The generic name was coined by Turvey and his colleagues in reference to how gibbons were, in ancient China, kept by noblemen scholars, or junzi, as pets. In the game, they are the same size as the player and are usually on trees. It hangs on trees and may squeal loudly to intimidate if there are predators nearby. Its cry is so loud that carnivorous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus would run away unintentionally. This also applies to the player, who will get the demoralizing effect when he hears the bark. If there is another tree nearby, it jumps into that tree and moves to that tree. On rare occasions, he will get off a tree and walk on the ground, but he will be as slow as the initial level 1 player, and will not be able to run. Also, if attacked, it will run away without attacking. Taming They are wary and timid enough to avoid approaching players except in rare occasions, so Ghillie equipment is a must. And with the Ghillie equipped, it becomes a passive tame on vegetables such as carrots. They never eat anything other than vegetables, such as berries, so they need a lot of vegetables. And when the taming rate rises to 50%, it becomes interested in the player and tries to follow the player. You will continue to give them vegetables, but on rare occasions they will ask you to pet them. However, if someone attacks you even once, the taming rate will be reset at that moment, so you need to take him to a safe place before taming him. After taming Since it is the same size as the player, it cannot be ridden, but can instead ride on the player's back and be carried by the player on their back. When carrying it on its back, if there is a predator nearby, it will cry loudly to inform the player of the presence of the predator. In addition, creatures that are determined to be natural enemies will be given the effect of losing fighting spirit and will run away from the spot. Natural enemies are other players in PVP, carnivorous dinosaurs, and aggressive creatures that attack the player, with the exception of neutral and friendly creatures. Also, by letting it sit at home at your base, it can act like a virtual security bell, and will ring loudly as soon as it sees someone approaching. In some cases, PVP will let you know immediately when an enemy is nearby.

Eumegamys is an extinct genus of dinomyid rodent from the late Miocene and Pliocene of Brazil (Solimões Formation), Venezuela (Urumaco Formation, Urumaco) and Argentina (Ituzaingó Formation) in South America. Its skull was 50 cm (1.64 ft) long. In-game, they are giant rodents the same size as Phiomia. Primarily herbivorous, it has a friendly disposition and flees twice as fast as Phiomia when attacked. However, when it finds an egg, it retrieves it, and on rare occasions it has a habit of eating the retrieved egg. He also has the ability to climb walls, allowing him to escape long distances. Taming It is a passive tame and feeds mainly on eggs. Eggs are only eaten unfertilized, and the eggs used for taming differ depending on the level of Eumegamys. If the egg is as big as a large dinosaur, you may be able to easily tame it. After taming It can be ridden without a saddle and has the ability to climb walls, making it an excellent alternative to wall-climbing creatures such as Thylacoleo. Also, this Eumegamys can get a lot of Fiber and can be harvested along with Berries. And interestingly, there is a feature called "cheek pouches" that can be filled with foods such as berries and eggs to nullify the decay time of that food.

(Art not by me) The Jonkeria was a massive synapsid from the Permian era, growing up to 11.5 feet in length and weighing almost 500 pounds this creature was certainly one you would not want to mess with. Since synapsids are a very unrepresented group in ark even though they're a very diverse and interesting group, I thought it would be fitting to suggest one for this competition. Wild Behavior In the wild Jonkeria can be found roaming the mountains of scorched earth with a couple moschops buddies, however despite the fact they group with the peaceful moschops does not mean they are peaceful too, in fact they are quite aggressive when you get too close to their herd or when you try to tame one of the moschops in said herd, in summary if you see a Jonkeria in the wild, do not get close to it unless if you are trying to tame it. Taming Just like the moschops following them, the Jonkeria has a very similar taming method to the moschops however you cannot just one up to one and tame it like the moschops due to their aggression, instead you must sneak behind them in a ghillie suit and then you can feed them, but once fed you must run away quickly as they will become aggressive, thankfully they aren’t that fast. After repeating this process with different foods, you will have tamed the Jonkeria. Uses When Tamed When tamed the Jonkeria has many uses, first of all they are great gatherers being able to easily gather desert materials like sand, clay and silk with ease, they can also gather most of the resources a normal moschops would be able gather as well. Secondly they are a siege mount, their large bodys makes them perfect for destroying structures making them do extra damage to structures as opposed to damage on other creatures. Finally they are able to command moschops to do things for you, their harvest roar will tell tamed moschops to gather anything in a nearby range while their aggression roar will make moschops attack anything without the need of riding them (for those who don’t know if you command a moschops to attack something they will just run around frantically and attack nothing.) In summary I think the Jonkeria could be an excellent addition to ark and its deserts with it’s many uses it has and could even give the moschops more uses instead of just being an early game mount and a good harvester.

Chororapithecus is an extinct great ape from the Afar region of Ethiopia roughly 8 million years ago during the Late Miocene, comprising one species, C. abyssinicus. It is known from 9 isolated teeth discovered in a 2005–2007 survey of the Chorora Formation. The teeth are indistinguishable from those of gorillas in terms of absolute size and relative proportions, and it has been proposed to be an early member of Gorillini. However, this is controversial given the paucity of remains, and notable anatomical differences between Chororapithecus and gorilla teeth. The Kenyan ape Nakalipithecus has been proposed to be an ancestor of Chororapithecus or at least closely related. If correct, they would be the only identified fossil members of any modern non-human great ape lineage, and would push the gorilla–human last common ancestor from 8 million years ago (identified by molecular analysis) to 10 million years ago. The teeth are adapted for processing tough plant fibres as well as hard, brittle food, and the formation is thought to represent a forested lakeside habitat. In the game, they are omnivorous, neutral creatures that live in groups of about five. An individual with a high level becomes a leader, and the leader can perform "drumming" that buffs the entire group. It has a friendly attitude toward the player, but if it attacks an individual in the herd, the entire herd will become hostile and attack. This applies to creatures other than pliers, especially when attacked by carnivorous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus, the entire pack will fight back against the carnivorous dinosaur. In addition, unlike Gigantopithecus, it has the appearance of a complete gorilla, and normally walks on four legs, but when fighting drumming, it walks on two legs. Taming method Under the same conditions as Dinopithecus, it is impossible to tame any other Chororapithecus other than the leader, only the leader can be tamed. Therefore, all but the leader must be killed. However, there is no need to kill immature Chororapithecus, such as children or adolescents. And if you become only the leader, reduce the health of the leader to 70%, and when the health reaches 70%, it will be a passive taming format. Also, since it only eats Rare Mushrooms, a large amount of Rare Mushrooms is required for passive taming. After taming It can be ridden without a saddle, and is like an enhanced version of Gigantopithecus and Dinopithecus by itself, but if there are 3 or more other tamed Choororapithecus, a swarm will be formed. It can also use drumming, but this drumming will only be triggered if there is another tamed Chororapithecus. In addition to giving buffs to the herd, drumming can also be used to intimidate the enemy and give instructions to the herd in the same way as Dinopithecus.

What is Dracovenator? Dracovenator is an extinct species of Dilophosauridae, it lived during the Jurassic period and it was roughly 5.5-6.5m tall, around the size of a Velonasaur. It was more than likely a carnivore due to its heritage. Dracovenator's name means Dragon Hunter, isn't that cool! Why should you choose Dracovenator for Scorched Earth? Dracovenator will be the perfect addition to Scorched Earth, providing a stable way to knock out creatures with its Torpor dealing abilities and the ability to act as a fridge for Wyvern Milk, as well as an easy way to grab Wyvern eggs whilst being completely unnoticed, and if you would be noticed you can at least defend yourself from them, on top of that it's spit has different effects based on what consumables you put in it's inventory. Dracovenator Dossier Wild: Larger and faster than the native Dilophosaurus, Dracovenator Toxicus is Ark's most fascinating resident. Whenever Dracovenator is on the hunt, its victims fall unconscious before they are even killed. While it seems they are aggressive, I noticed them feeding on bushes, a weird behaviour but perhaps there is meaning to it. Tamed: An asset to any survivor's tribe, once tamed Dracovenator can be fed a variety of narcotics to boosts its venom's capabilities, Like it’s Namesake, it posseses a unique ability to sneak into Wyvern nests completely undetected. Behaviour Dracovenator is fairly aggressive, but seems to relax once it goes through a few berry bushes. However it is still best not to approach as they have violent tendencies. Appearance Dracovenator is around the size of a Velonasaur but with an appearance similar to Dilophosaurus, just without the frill. It has varied osteoderms cover its body with its delightful crest. Taming Dracovenator is a passive tame and must be approached with caution when trying to tame, it is best advised to where a ghilli suit whilst consuming a Cactus Broth. Clear any agro targets in the vicinity, then throw tamed creatures with narcotics, Narcoberries or Bio Toxin in their inventory, let Dracovenator kill that tamed creature and the items will transfer to Dracovenator, it will gain taming effectiveness based on what items you put in it, after Dracovenator is at 100% go up to it and start feeding it Regular Kibble, mutton etc, each type of taming food will depend on how much taming effectiveness it loses. It is best advised to use Dodo's as they are an easy tame. Combat Keep the high ground or be knocked out, have lots of stimulants on you, you'll need them. You can use bear traps to stop them or throw any narcotics on the ground (this does not work for the tamed version). Attacks Primary: Just a regular bite attack, with a fairly decent speed. This attack also picks up wild Wyvern eggs and Drake eggs. Secondary: Spit attack, crosshairs are present on your screen whenever you ride this creature. Gains different effects based on consumables. Spit Attack Mechanics Placing different Talons in Dracovenators inventory will give different reactions with its spit. These options will be placed on a hot wheel and can be disabled at any point. Fire Wyvern Talons makes it become a mini Fire Wyvern where it spits a pool of burning venom which if you or a creature stands in for too long, will set it alight, it deals AoE damage to structures, tames and players. Poison Wyvern Talons makes it become a Poison Wyvern where it spits out a concentrated amount of venom which gives torpor to creatures and players, it does not deal much damage as it is meant more for utility. Lightning Wyvern Talons makes it become a Lightning Wyvern where it spits out a pool of electrifying liquid which stuns players and creatures, this also temporarily shuts off generators. Utilities - PvE Versatile Taming Assistant: Narcotics in Dracovenator's inventory allows you to deal torpor to creatures and players, as if it is mocking the Poison Wyvern. Travel Mount: Dracovenator is an extremely agile creature being able to jump and run far distances without getting tired out, it can also hold a fairly decent amount of weight, as well as being able to climb some surfaces, making it a fairly reliable travel mount. Boss Fighter: Whilst not being used for its spit attack Dracovenator is a fairly reliable boss dino due to its maneuverability and damage output. Egg Stealer: Dracovenator possesses a unique ability where wyverns will ignore it, as it acts as an imposter while you are riding it. Whilst riding it use your melee attack at a nest to pick up the egg. Fertilised Egg Collector: Perfect for any mass breeder, an automatic egg collector so you don't have to wait around to pick up eggs. Abilities - PvP Turret: Putting Dracovenator in its turret mode allows it to use it's basic spit which slows down tames/survivors whilst also debuffing their armour. Base Destroyer: Putting Sulphur in Dracovenators inventory let's Dracovenator spit out a pool of burning venom which deals DoT to structures and players. Raiding Ally: Putting Gasoline in Dracovenators inventory will allow it to shut off generators whilst also stunning players and tames for a short duration. Soaker Counter: Due to its Flak saddle and armour debuffing spit, Dracovenator can help deal with soakers whilst providing support to your tribe. Passive Abilities Harvester: Dracovenator harvests Narcoberries and Bio Toxin at an increased rate, and will also cause Nameless to drop Nameless Venom more frequently. Fridge: Whilst Bio Toxin, Nameless Venom or Wyvern Milk are in its inventory, it will increase the spoil times making Dracovenator a reliable companion when raising Rock Drakes and Wyverns! Torpor Immunity: Naturally since Dracovenator feasts on so much torpor inducing items, it is naturally immune to the stings of Jellyfish and survivors who try to knock it out. Wyvern/Drake Fighter: Due to Dracovenator name sake, it only makes sense for it to be able to have additional damage against the Drake kind. Saddle Dracovenator has 2 saddles, a normal hide saddle or a flak saddle providing a mounted flame thrower but this disables it's ability to use its spit attack. For Studio Wildcard looking at this, here is more information on Dracovenator: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracovenator

Heyo, this one's pretty straightforward, giant desert sauropod. DOSSIER - Sonorasaurus Ardugigantus WILD Seeing a wild Sonorasaurus ardugigantus amongst the vast, although mainly flat desert, wasn't too difficult a task due to their immense size amongst many of the other desert dwellers. They usually travel in pairs or herds, making them quite dangerous to approach in combat without a sufficiently powerful mount, though I suspect they're rarer because of their size making them an easy target for the terrifying Wyverns infesting this desert. Though curiously, Sonorasaurus have developed a countermeasure which I've witnessed in complete bewilderment. Similar to Morellatops, Sonorasaurus store water inside a series of sacs and pounches within their long neck, both for sustenance, and, when threatened, they can suddenly expel the water they've stored in a powerful, pressurized water jet! Their naturally large size and strength, plus their ability to fight from a long-range, makes them a surprisingly sought-after mount in the arid desert. DOMESTICATED There are many advantages to a tamed Sonorasaurus, but the main appeal for many who seek to knock down this beast is its ability to fire out pressurized water beams, allowing for a powerful long-ranged weapon to suppress advancing armies and harassing fliers. Of course, the ability to store water in and of itself is equally as useful in the harsh desert, and combined with its natural size, makes them a slow, but immense flagship beast for any warring or nomadic tribes. Their size also makes them an easy choice for versatile options on a saddle, and I've seen many interesting saddles. The most effective I've seen is a semi-platform saddle, allowing the rider some walking space, with the saddle having side curtains to provide insulation from the wind, essentially having a tent on the back of your mighty steed! Combined with a few crafting stations and storage boxes, and Sonorasaurus's natural water storage, you'd not even want to get off of the beast. ----- MECHANICS - Sonosaurus stands just smaller than a Diplodocus, though its neck is raised significantly higher, giving it a significant height advantage, though this also makes it a much easier target for other creatures and opposing players. Not as fast as Diplodocus or Amaragasaurus, but still able to outsized the larger Brontosaurus, Sonorasaurus can move a brisk prance, however its stamina is relatively poor when sprinting. When standing above a pool of water or a water vein, the water will absorb through its skin, or, if the body of water is large enough, the Sonora will instead drink from it, like the Morellatops. You can also add to its water supply by emptying waterskins, jars, or canteens, and this water supply is essential to the Sonora. When without water for too long, it will become dehydrated, making it more vulnerable to fire damage and ranged attacks. When hydrated, however, it is resistant to both, and it can use its water supply to use its signature pressurized jet. CONTROLS - Left Click/Primary Attack - the traditional sauropod stomps, a forward, back, and side stomp depending on the direction the rider is looking. When looking all the way forward, the Sonora will instead use a powerful neck sweep, doing less damage but having strong knockback. Right Click/Secondary Attack - Water Jet. It has a moment or two of charging up before releasing, slowly using up its water supply as it uses an immensely damaging beam with impressive range. It's best used against large clusters of enemies to disperse them, or against flyers to stop their harassment. C/Tertiary Attack - Water Shake. Lastly, the Sonora can manually shake off some of its water supply. This can be used to water crop plots underneath the Sonora, dispel the fire status effects, and hydrate players, Morellatops, or other Sonoras nearby. Lastly, its saddle. Due its size, the Sonora is able to be given a platform saddle, though its platform saddle is unique due its affinity for the desert. The saddle has built-in tent walls to insulate players on the move, while the rest of the platform can be used however the player sees fit with appliances or partitions with walls. There's also a small well near the back of the saddle that can be used to extract water from the Sonora directly.
