  1. I've always wanted a huge Sauropod that we could keep instead of dieing. first time doing this so let me know if it's a good idea. Name: (S. vivianae) America's largest Sauropod) Larger then the titanosauraurids. Diet: Herbivore Genus: Diplodicidae Height: 50-60 ft Weight: 70000 – 80000 lbs Time period: late Jurassic period In the wild they are mainly passive. Walking past them the earth shakes beneath your feet. Design A Having a long neck and and tail the s.vivianae actually is not also tall as well as long. It can reach the height no other Sauropod can.Supersaurus is an genus of diplodocid sauropod dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Jurassic period.[1] Nature A gentle giant takes a lot to get it to be agreessive. Taming The S. vivianae can be tamed with a cross bow or bow. For extremely large size it takes a bit tame. Un like the titanosaur you will have this mighty Beast for ever. Great for pvp but has a cool down limit. Mating is just as simple as the other Sauropod mating habits. With a long gestation period to incubate patience will be the key. But once full grown you will have a powerful ally. Can pick up everything. Has a call that can intimidate even the most aggressive and largest meat eaters. If you also faint or disconnect it will protect you at all cost. Can even swim short distances as well as not be affected by the cold . Can be a heater as well as keep you above water while swimming. Preferred food: any Kibble, Can be tamed with berries and mushrooms. Drops: Keratin, prime meat, meat, and hide Pictures.are.courtesy.of ABCDINOS.COM PIc courtesy of website Dino.org
  2. Original Artwork by Fernando Usabiaga Bustos: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rAyqla Name: Camarasaurus Species: Camarasaurus supremus TIme: Jurassic Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: Around the same size as an adult Rex, Camarasaurus lives in large Groups traversing through the Arks vast Redwoods. Their Herd usually consist of one dominant Male and a couple of Females. When attackted the Female will almost always try to flee, while the Male meet the Threat head on, protecting its Mates. When the Females are alertet by the Males combat belows they will turn back and try to help against their Aggressor in unison. Males are easily recognised by their large pronounced Headcrest and bulky Body. Taming: Protected by the dominant Male, the Herd must first be seperated before attempting to tame. Otherwise the belowing Roars of the Male will rally up the remaining Herd and reset any taming attempt immediately. While seperated the Females will once again become dossile and let Survivors come close to feed them their favourite Food Rare Flowers. The Males on the otherhand will be to territorial to let anything come close to them, so they first need to be trapped by a Chainbola and only while a tamed Female Camara is near will let it self be feed as it slowly trust the Survivor. Domesticated: While these Sauropod are mostly used for Tribe on Tribe Warfare as the males can rally up any teammember with it Rage inducing Roars, that significantly speed up their attack speed for a couple of seconds. Some Survivors even use their buff as a support for defeating the Guardian of the various Arks. It can also be fittet with a heavily Armoured War Saddle that bosts two very large Storage Containers or a couple of lowered Loadout Mannequin on each side of its body for easy ground access. They can be filled with numerous amounts of Material or an asortment of Equipment while the Camarasaurus doesn't carry any of the needed carryweight. Making a saddled Camara the go to tame for resource gathering or setting up an outpost quick and easy. Potential Moveset: Camara could be able to turn in place Primary Attack (Left Click): Directional Singular Stomp Secondary Attack (Right Click): Short Tail Whip that covers area behind itself Heavy Attack (C): Fury of frontal Stomps that get progressively stronger and faster Special Attack (X): While sprinting Camara can perform a heavy bash attack, where it quickly forces its whole body to one side to push away enemys. Any creature next to the side its attacking towards will be knocked over or stuned. Depending on the size of the opponent. Roar (Strg): Gives all nearby Allies the Rage Buff Rage Buff: Provides a short burst of double Attack speed and Immunity to all Stuns. While giving any Creature glowing red Eyes. Saddle Ideas: Male Camara Saddle: - Heavy Metal Armour Plating - Loadout Mannequin on the lower side of its Saddle, for easy fast Player Equipment in PvP situations - Potential Resistence towards Bullet and Explosives Female Camara Saddle: - Heavy Metal Armour Plating - Giant Metal Storage Containers on the lower side of its Saddle, for easy Resource gathering or Base relocation - Potential Resistence towards Bullet and Explosives Potential Variants / Spawn Area: Standart Camarasaurus - Redwoods , Green Desert Aberrant Camarasaurus - Fertile Biome X-Camarsaurus - Genesis Bog R-Camarasaurus - Eden Biome Fell free to share your critiques or new ideas!
  3. Species: Shunosaurus jiangyiensis Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivore Temperment: Territorial Wild Often found roaming the forests of the island and standing taller than the Diplo but smaller than the Bronto Shunosaurus is one herbivore you don't want to mess with. unlike most Sauropod dinosaurs the shunosaurus has a very short neck in comparison to most of it's relatives only being about as tall as a Rex it's also highly terrotorial and will attack nearly any creature that approaches the herd using it's special Tail Club. the club is comprised of bone and is similar to the tail club of an ankylosaurus however unlike the ankylosaurus the tail of the shunosaurus is much more powerful able to shatter bones of creatures twice the size of it not only is it powerful but it is also incredibly dextrous as the shunosaurus is able to use it in a similar way to the trunk of a mammoth able to pick up and throw objects. they also have probably the most complex social structure of any creature on the island with them showing incredible empathy to other weaker members of the herd and giving them priority also going out of their way to defend any member of the herd that is attacked it reminds me a lot of the social structure of Elephants in fact. Domesticated The shunosaurus is incredibly loyal to it's herd and will only submit to a survivor if they somehow manage to gain it's loyalty by protecting it or it's herd from attack I myself saved a group of Shunosaurus from a pack of Allosaurs and they quickly warmed up to me. Once tamed the shunosaurus makes an incredibly versatile mount Able to use it's large club tail to deal severe damage to opponents even able to inflict severe bone breaks on them causing them to be drastically slowed I even saw a tamed Shunosaurus break the leg of a Giganotosaurus before. the tail club is also excellent at farming resources similar to the ankylosaurus able to shatter stone, metal and Obsidian with ease. the shunosaurus also like it's cousins the Brontosaurus and Titanosaurus can use a platform saddle however this one comes with a forge built in to smelt any collected metal all of this often causes debates between what's better the Ankylosaurs or Shunosaurus as some prefer the smaller size and ease of transport of the Ankylosaurus while some prefer the conviniance and better defence of the shunosaurus Abilities Tail whip attack the attack has massive range due to the long tail of the Shunosaurus and has a chance to inflict a new status effect Tail spin attack similar to the charc but with far more range and higher damage can also stun enemies but it has a cooldown and uses up a lot of stamina Can cause a new status effect broken bones this causes the effected creature to be briefly stunned and then move incredibly slowly for a short period Can grab and throw creatures using it's tail by wrapping it around them similar to how the mammoth can pick up creatures with it's trunk largest creatures it can pick up are Carnos and Chalicos Can collect resources with it's tail whip attack like the anky has a new buff similar to the pack buffs of the direwolves and allos this will be called the herd buff and causes the damage resistance of the Shunosauruses to increase and gives them a damage buff and movement speed increase has a Platform saddle but this one comes with a Forge built in so any metal collected can instantly be smelted Can damage stone structures with it's tail attack Taming Method in order to tame it you have to gain it's respect by saving it or a juvenile member of it's group from attack this will cause the Shunosaurus to become passive to you and allow you to ride it once on the shunosaurus you have to go and collect berries for it with each berry contributing to it's taming Final notes The shunosaurus would not end up as a replacement for the Ankylo as while it can collect the same resources, smelt them instantly and defend itself unlike the anky It is far too large to be picked up by a quetzel or wyvern and it's movement speed is lacking so the Anky and quetz combo would still be the optimal choice in a lot of senarios the Shunosaurus would be around the size of a rex or spino larger than it's smaller relatives like the Amargasaurus and Diplo but smaller than the Bronto and titanosaurus Shunosaurus would have juvanile members of it's herd similar to the dinopithicus and Kiraku
  4. Common Name: Seismo Species name: Seismosaurus peregrinans Time: Jurassic Temperament: Defensive Seismosaurus is a sauropod that is specifically designed for Hostile Environments unsuitable for other large Sauropods. Seismo can eat just about any plant matter even Thatch or Cactus if it comes to it, this versatility allows it to exist in the most hostile of environments. Unlike its counterpart Brontosaurus, Seismosaurus is much more adept at combat using its thick muscular neck, weight and whip tail to deal large amounts of damage very quickly its also a lot faster Albeit at the cost of the sheer Defensive bulk of Brontosaurus. Domesticated: Once domesticated Seismosaurus is a perfect capital war mount, usually fitted with heavy armor as its unable to carry a platform, this extra mobility and padded armor allow it to function as a battering ram turning even the sturdiest of gates to splinters eventually. Seismo has none militant uses, its strong mouth and Hardy teeth allow it to literally rip rocks from the ground nearly intact this grab can also be used to get Seismosaurus to lift smaller creatures up to higher platforms such as Clifftops and Cliff platforms for those who may be afraid of flight or in areas where flight may be difficult or even Impossible. Health: 1300 Stamina:260 Oxygen: 150 Food: 8000 Weight: 1000 Melee Damage:(1.2x damage to Carnivores) Tail slap- 70 Neck slam- 70 Bite- 24 Stomp (10-second cooldown) 110 Torpidity: 7000 Utility saddle: 72 (gives 0 armour) War-saddle: 86 (normal saddle works like Trike has base armor of 20) Tek saddle: 130 (2 Ascension's required for balance reasons my idea is a lil out there, gives 45 armor) Dragweight would be exactly 540 so it can actually fight bosses but good luck fitting more than 2 in lol (Balanced for around lvl 85) Seismosaurus Tek Saddle: Unlike a regular Tek saddle, this unit has no additional weaponry, instead it broadcasts an interchangeable buff (done like strider attachment but each must be crafted separately, they weigh 0) each module has a different effect and produces a differently styled holographic war banner based upon a boss, the effect each banner gives out varies depending on the boss it is depicting such as: Broodmother: Ignored by all bugs besides Deathworms Megapithecus: Increased grab capacity (from Argent to Quetz) Dragon: Elemental damage resistance (Fire, Lightning, Poison) Manticore: Bonus damage to Golems and Deathworms Rockwell: Rad immunity, Nameless Ignore you King Titan (Gamma, Beta): Reduced damaged from Corrupted Mecha King Titan: Same as gamma and beta but with a damage boost to boot Master Controller: Attacks ignore X dino resistance bonuses, Seismo acts as a transmitter and spawn point Rockwell Prime: Immunity to Shadowmane stun and ignored by Reapers Crystal Wyvern Queen: Immunity to Blood Curse and Scald, Minor life steal (1% of damage dealt) Dinopithecus King: Able to damage tek structures but only does 0.2x its normal damage. Resistance to bleed. Fenrirsulfur- Immunity to Freeze can use element to cause an explosion of Lightning Akin to Mjolnir (requires the Mjolnir Engram learnt)
  5. Overview: Compared to other sauropods encountered on the ARKs, the Dreadnaughtus appears to be built in the reverse direction. Instead of having significant mass placed evenly or weighted towards the tail, this species has adapted abnormally large air sacs to support a larger-than-average neck. Because of this, Dreadnaughtus are surprisingly swift compared to their size, can deliver immense blows with their neck, and have unique methods of defense and offense. In my mind, this creature acts as a surprisingly fast (for its size), chaos-causing, hit-and-run style tank. Attacks: The primary attack (left click/right trigger) leads to the Dreadnaughtus pushing its front legs into the air quickly, and returning to the ground as fast. The secondary attack (right click/left trigger) is the aforementioned neck swing, which is much slower but knocks large creatures (perhaps up to the size of a Rex) to the side, along with stunning them. If this attack is done while the player is aiming behind the Dreadnaughtus, a tail slam will be performed, inflicting less damage but slightly faster. Finally, this towering sauropod can exploit its large air sacs to intimidate foes of any size. While it may not cause overwhelming fear like the Yutyrannus, the billowing sound produced by the inflating and deflating of the Dreadnaughtus’ appendages leads to a creature being shaken, its movement unstable and slowed, along with a feeling of difficulty to attack. Alternative ideas for air sac attacks: The sound of a Dreadnaughtus’ air sacs could lead them to attract dinos to them, while not aggroed, these creatures would follow the billowing sounds and be left momentarily confused when they stop. Another possibility could be to create a zone that irritates an enemy creature’s ears so much that they may buck the rider off. This could be used as a form of anti-air defense. The riders may have a chance to try and stay on their creature but would have to perform some sort of action, or perhaps feed their dino a consumable that negates the properties of the Dreadnaughtus’ call. Taming: The concept of taming a Dreadnaughtus comes mainly from their portrayal in the apple tv plus docu-series “Prehistoric planet”, where they are theorized to engage in battles to become the pack leader. There are two approaches that may work for these beasts. The first is to witness one of these battles, and once the victor is decided, approach the loser and feed them to increase trust, once this has been done, the survivor is given the chance to ride the beast for round two. While the odds are not perfectly in your ally Dreadnaughtus’ favor, with your help it may stand a higher chance. You will be prompted with button challenges to complete, and depending on how fast these are completed, your Dreadnaughtus will stand a better chance of not getting hit. If you are hit, however, the Dreadnaughtus may ask for veggie cakes to help stay in the battle. With each hit you take, your taming effectiveness drops slightly but can be regained through the consumption of veggie cakes. This means it may be tactical to let the Dreadnaughtus take a hit in order to raise the effectiveness back to max. Once the battle is won, because of your help the Dreadnaughtus will gain a massive amount of taming affinity, if not completely. Higher levels will likely need to be fed more after the battle passively. Apologies for not having any art of the concepts or creatures! I am not a gifted artist, but I might do something later depending on how much traction this gets. 6. The Dreadnoughtus is the biggest sauropod yet in the Arks. This giant sores over all others, even the mighty Titanosaurs. Different to that of the Titanosaur, this beast will be tamed by defeating it In combat. After passively feeding the Dreadnoughtus a rare flower, the beast will brighten its neck red and go on a rampage and agro onto your survivor. While in battle the Dreadnoughtus not run away after its torpor raises, instead it will relentlessly attack the player. While attacking you, you will have to lower its health by fighting it to the point of the behemoth cooling it’s neck back down to the regular color. After this, you’ll have to ride it and try and feed it it’s food, that being kibble, crops, berries as it try’s to buck you off its back. It may buck you off once-four times depending on the level. Once tamed, the saddle of the tame is consistent with the animal, that being the Gustav gun. This is the largest firearm to ever exist and after mounting it to the back of the Dreadnoughtus, you can load large shells into chamber and fire. This will take some time and will be difficult to aim at smaller object or animals, but the destruction and carnage it can cause is worth it. The Dreadnoughtus itself cannot massively damage tek, but the giant gun on its back can. also on the back, you can put a small base (3 x 2 platform) behind the chamber of the gun.
  7. Big sauropod could be a good combat dino, similar to the Brachiosaurus from Ark additions have like a magmasaur saddle (you can't take damage inside it) Have a ton of health like Gigas and Carchas Takes 80% reduced torpor damage, until it roars. When it roars, you are given a certain amount of time where it loses this torpor resistance. only roaring when under 35% HP in the wild. Can roar multiple times Loses the torpor resistance when tamed If it were a combat dino, A whip attack with the tail, front and back leg stomps, some sort of attack with the neck spawns where Gigas and Carchas spawn, not sure if it should share the same spawns or just spawn with them Fear roar (works like Yuty roar) that could scare rexes, immune to yuty fear roar bleed immunity?? (could allow it to kill a giga) Alternatively, weaker attacks Buff other sauropod dinos (like a Yuty) give a little damage reduction to other dinos Something else cool, because i'm not sure
  8. Barosaurus has a tail whip and a stomp attack that deals heavy damage tail whip disorients dinos for 2 seconds this giant is bigger and beefier than a titanosaur and stronger it has very tough skin that is hard to pierce through so bleed attacks don’t work on it they aren’t breedable though they also have a neck attack that does mid damage but die torpor it is too heavy to swim so it sinks and has low oxygen but also takes super heavy damage when drowning
  9. Hypselosaurus would be sauropod that would act as a transition between the diplodocus and the brontosaurus. It would have an enormous weight stat and a weight reduction for clay. It would also be able to stick its head into the ground and begin sucking up clay into its belly, which can later be used by its master for crafting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypselosaurus
  10. Bajadasaurus will have same stats with amarga, and looke similar to it, but it has spines that points forward. Species Bajadasaurus electricus Time Early Cretaceous Diet Herbivore Temperament Defensive Wild If there’s most shocking creature on the land, Bajadasaurus electricus would be the one. This Dicraeosauridae is the cousin species of the Amargasaurus, the sauropod that can save heat or cold on its spine. Like its remarkable cousin, Bajadasaurus also has some literally shocking adaptation alongside with its forward-pointing neck spines; it can release electricity. Bajadasaurus developed the electric organ along its spines, so it can release the electricity through the them. Bajadasaurus use this ability to detect hostile creatures that is targeting it in the dense forest or swamps, like the modern electric eel. Once attacked, Bajadasaurus will fight back with not just thrusting its threatening forward-pointing spines that can give some serious injury, but also release the massive electricity in a short moment, which can stuns even the large predator like rex. But it will flee if its get tired from releasing too much electricity. Some people use this opportunity to feed the bajadasaurus, and slowy gain its trust until they become friendly. Domesticated Bajadasaurus can be excellent defense mount. Its pointy spikes makes quite a reflective damage to enemies. And just like its appearance, it seems that bajadasuarus swings its spines like the ceratopsian did with its horns to defend itself. But most importantly, it’s capability to produce electricity. It can release small amount of electricity to detect the nearby danger or resources that responsive to electricity. And some tribes discovered that bajadasaurus can not just release the electricity in a wide rage, but also actually capable to aim target like a railgun through spikes on its neck, which finds out that this electric dinosaur’s ability can be used in a many useful ways. Some use this to knock out the nastiest creature, and some use it to disable the metalic stuructures, motivated from bajadasaurus’s electricity response to metalic resources. Bajadasaurus is a passive tame. It perfers exceptional kibble. Sweet veggie cake also works well and could heal it. Taming 1. Aggro the bajada. Let it attck with electricity. 2. Bajada will flee after it's tired from use enough electricity, chase it. 3. Feed the bajada. You can also feed sweet veggie cake to heal it if it's got hit. 4. Repeat it untill tame. Controls Left click: Neck swing/spike thrusting, can be done while moving. (Stun attack while in wide range stance, elecricity shooting while in aiming stance.) Right click: Tail whip, covers the back area Space bar: Directional stomp. X : Detection. locate the hostiles nearby(like parasaur), and some mineral resources(metal, obsidian, crystal, gems) C : Change the elecric stance. There will be three stances; wide range stun, aiming stance, normal/recharging stance. Both of electric stance can damage metal structures(stone sturcutures only can damaged by aiming stance.), and disables some electric structures(turrets, generator, etc) in a short time - Wide range stance: bajada realease the electricity and stuns the nearby creatures for 7 seconds, and give small amount of torpor damage. After stun, Bajada will gain additional melee and reflect damage boost. - Aiming stance: crosshair will be appear and bajada will bend down its neck so the spike can point to corsshair. Bajada will shoot eletricity frome the spines in order. This attck will deals a high damage with 3X torpor damage, which can be used for knock out tame. - Recharge/Normal stance: Bajada's electricity attack will cost a lot of stamina. In this stance, Bajada can't use the electricity attack, but will recharge it's stamina faster than other two stances. Ctrl: Aesthetic roar
  11. Dossier Common Name : Erketu Species : Erketu Ellisoni Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : Herbivore Temperament : Territorial - Neutral Wild You see yourself walking through the dark forests of The Island, in hand, a primitive spear and wearing nothing but your underwear as you explore these strange lands. As you make it deeper into the vegetation you feel the ground shake behind you, you fear the worst and turn around slowly, gripping your wooden weapon so hard blisters form, drops of sweat flow through your forehead and your knees shake preparing for a fierce battle… but.. it isn’t a carnivore, instead one huge leg. What you’ve just encountered is none other than.. the Erketu, The Walking Lighthouse! Standing slightly larger than a Bronto but with a neck so oddly long that puts the Titanosaur to shame the Erketu is able to scan the canopy easily to eat the perfect branch of leaves, while keeping track of the nearby carnivores and other similar threats. You might be able to see it has some natural fluorescence especially in its head and neck and it appears to be bright, so bright you could see it hundreds of miles away. This natural glow is this critter’s main defense and attack ability, from being able to temporarily blind and cause fear to those unfortunate souls all the way to calling specific species in a extended radius around itself the Erketu has it all! Domesticated Assuming you have survived the taming processes in one or two pieces (I’m bluffing) you will see a variety of abilities at your disposal, though that’s for later, for now let’s dive into the creature itself. You will need a rather heavy and expensive saddle. In the normal saddle you will be able to hop in up to six of your mates and in the platform saddle… as many as you want.. if you have enough chairs for them of course. If you are the leader you might see one singular seating space at the head of this massive beast, and if you’re not you will be able to sit on top of the creature’s neck comfortably. While riding your new lighthouse pet you will notice when it is hungry and when it’s not as the natural bioluminescence in the Erketu’s head and neck losing its glow the hungrier it is, and when it is attacked and none of it’s active abilities are activated their glow will flicker just as an electrical light would. Additionally keeping track of the Erketu’s glow is an easy way of knowing the torpor, the health and the effects it is undergoing in the midst of battle so you don’t need to constantly open up its inventory. Potential Base Stats Base Stats: Health: 3,250 Stamina: 350 Oxygen: 150 Food: 12,000 Weight: 1,100 Melee Damage: 100% Speed: 100% Torpidity: 3000 Taming The Erketu taming process is rather torturous, slow and expensive, but it’s all for a very useful reward. It consists of three phases where you must take control and overpower this massive beast, each phase has different requirements and very much like a baby it will ask for either a specific amount of a berry or vegetable or even eggs of other creatures, they specifically prefer those fertilized eggs to make things harder. Phase 1 Starting off slow you approach your desired Erketu cautiously crouching behind it like a Shadowmane (don’t worry though you won’t need a camouflage suit in this case), taking advantage of the Erketu visibility focused on anything but the ground you will begin to passive tame it like with a Mesopithecus, however the Erketu won’t be satisfied with one insignificant berry and you’ll need larger amounts to make an impact, that is, if it asks for berries in case it asks for eggs (which can be anything relatively small, think Carno and smaller) you’ll need 2 - 5 fertilized eggs regardless of level, infertile eggs work as well but the taming effectiveness will drop. The process will take a while but once it hits a certain taming percentage or so the next phase will begin, you can also see the glow in the Erketu’s neck become brighter and brighter as each phase is completed. Phase 2 Now the Erketu knows about your presence, and let’s say even if you’ve fed it, it won’t be so happy to see you around. It will enter a hostile phase where it’s glowing parts will begin to flicker and after a few seconds a large light blast will cover your screen blinding you like a flashbang and giving any creature around the fear effect, you can escape this by getting outside of the affected radius (a somewhat large green circle will appear around the Erketu) or by throwing smoke grenades near your player otherwise the effect will last for 40 seconds with a 35 second cooldown and you might take some short bleeding damage simulating your eye veins being affected by the unholy amounts of light. Additionally it will begin attacking via its basic swiping/stomping attacks. Now your task is to shoot at its glowing spots along its head and neck that will get in the way of its flashbang attacks until none of the glowing spots glow anymore, then phase 3 will start. Phase 3 Agitated by being damaged the injured Erketu will begin escaping, however due to being naturally clumsy due to the disproportionate neck it has keeping track of it will be rather easy, you might be able to see a larger green circle around the Erketu has appeared, in this phase the Erketu’s glowing spots flicker slowly as any species inside the radius will come to its aid regardless of diet or temperament (anything larger than a Rex will not come though), flyers included. During this phase you must use smoke grenades to “blind” the Erketu and proceed to passively feed it anything it asks for, through this process you will see what the Erketu asks will change but it won’t be anything different from what it asked in phase 1. Once the taming bar reaches 100% congratulations! You have successfully tamed The Walking Lighthouse. Abilities and Controls The Erketu is could be used in both PvP and PvE environments; the main abilities can be nerfed/buffed or removed entirely at the developer’s want if needed. Passive Abilities - Glowing spots along its neck and head, can be colored or be simply white. - The glowing spots will dim when hungry and rapidly flicker when receiving damage, when healing they will turn green and under the courage effects of Yutyrannus will turn red. - The flashbang ability won’t give friend dinos the fear effect. - If possible, the whistling radius of the player is increased when mounted on the Erketu allowing for players to whistle tames at a longer distance than usual. Active Abilities - Flashbang ability. Upon activation a decently sized radius around the creature will light up covering anyone’s screen in pure white for 15 seconds or so and will need a 35 second cooldown afterwards, any dino that isn’t of the same tribe will be given the fear effect for 20 seconds at the same time. *Uses a lot of stamina. - Flare ability. When activated you will be able to shoot massive flares from the glowing spots on the Erketu neck, doesn’t have a time limit but will use stamina every time a flare is shot, 7 second cooldown between flares. Additionally if these flares impact a creature they will give as much torpor as a poison Wyvern breath. *Uses moderate amounts of stamina. - Lighthouse ability. The first main ability of the Erketu. When activated the Erketu crest will light up and a radar ability similar to that of a Tek helmet will appear, if you open up the actions wheel you will be able to see a category with the name ‘Search Light’, inside of this category different categories for specific diet creatures and their sizes. Once you set up the ability it will show the locations of the creatures with the specifications you chose inside the large radius around the Erketus similar to the Parasaur way of locating enemies. For example you clicked on the ‘diet: carnivore’ category and inside that the ‘size: medium’, then all medium-sized carnivores in the radius will show around. *Uses large amounts of stamina and increases small amounts of torpor. - Summoning Light ability. The second main ability of the Erketu. When activated the Erketu crest will light up and a radar ability similar to that of a Tek helmet will appear, now, instead of showing the locations of the creatures with the selected specifications it will make all creatures with those traits come running towards you. This ability can be used in a variety of ways and it is especially good for taming in case you are looking for rare creatures to tame. Does not work with flyers unfortunately. In terms of controls : - Left Click : A large stomp using its front legs like a Bronto would. Deals base melee damage. - Right Click : A heavier tail swipe like a Bronto would. Deals base melee damage and a little bonus plus knockback. Harvests wood, thatch, fiber and berries. - C : A powerful neck swipe. Deals less damage but gives the stun effect for 5 seconds to anything it hits. - Spacebar : Flashbang ability. - X : Flare ability. - Hold F : Lighthouse ability - Hold C : Summoning Light ability.
  12. The Giraffatitan (similar to a brachiosaurus) would have a ability have a giant crushing attack using its two front legs aswell as a small knock back attack using its tail and will have the ability to reduce weight on wood gathering to make it a good harvester and a decent pvp dino but would not be given a platform saddle. these creatures would spawn near mountain biomes and would require to tranq it out but would have a similar torpor to a giga but once tamed it can be a useful Dino to dominate against most carnivores of the ark. The Giraffatitan would take a small amount of reduced damage taken against any attack dealt but a carnivore but will still get bleed attacked on which makes ir quite weak against dinos with a bleed attack. The Giraffatitan will also be given a roar that will fear any small-medium sized creature that attack it as for the big creatures it may take serveral roars like a yuturanus to be able to scare it off but till then it will help reduce the damage on the attack given by that target the Giraffatitan will not have any pack buffs and will be a uneasy tame to find similar to quetzals and finally this enormous beast will spawn on all maps except abberation gen 2 and scorched earth but would be hard to find on extinction level for saddle: 90 not for bosses great tank against turrets herbivore
  13. The Tangvayosaur is the second largest sauropod on the Island, only smaller than the Titanosaur. The current sauropods have no use in Ark, the diplodocus can not deal any damage, the brontosaurus is took weak for it's size and speed, and the titanosaur is only temporary. The goals of this dinosaur is to encourage the use of more herbivores by providing one with power that rivals the unchallenged king of Ark, the Giga. Currently, the Ark is dominated by carnivores that demolish herbivores. For example, a wild rex can single handily take down a whole herd or trikes or a couple of brontosaurus. In hopes of changing this prejudice against herbivores, I present to you... THE TANGVAYOSAUR Appearance: The tangvayosaurs that live on the Island are around twice the size of a brontosaurus. They have long whip like tails and a row short spikes that run from the head to the start of the tail. It is bulky like the bronto, but has a slender neck like the diplo. It is slightly more slend than the bronto. Wild: The Tangvayosaur can be found in the same places that Titanosaurs will spawn, but more frequently. They will become aggressive to any dinosaur that enters their range, including other herbivores. The only animal that these sauropods don't bully are dimorphodon, which give a calming effect to these giants. Tangvayosaurs have very long tails that will almost certainly reach you before you reach them. The Tangvasaur will slowly walk towards enemies backwards and use its range to its advantage. The tail can cause knock-back that increases the smaller the target. Taming: Those wishing to tame such a juggernaut will not be able to use the traditional knock out method. To tame the Tangvayosaur, you will need to relax him and then begin to slowly feed him when he grows tired. The items needed are as follows: Dimorphodon and 5-25 Rare Mushrooms. First, you will need to equip the dimorphodon so that the tangvayosaur will not attempt to squash you during the taming process. Next, you need to drop rare mushrooms near the dinosaur. The Tangvayosaur will eat the mushrooms and become drugged. A drugged Tangvayosaur will move much slower and lower his head to the ground every now and then. When the Tangvasaur lowers his head, you will have the option to feed him his preferred food (The same foods as any other herbivore). Domesticated: Tamed Tangvayosaurs are some of the most intimidating things to come across. A Tangvayosaur saddle will transform it into the ultimate siege dinosaur. The saddle will provide much more armor than the average saddle and will give sharp blades to the tail that make it deal double the damage and cause bleed. The saddle is also equipped with a cannon on each side of the body. The downside to this boost is that the saddle will slow down the Tangvayosaur a noticeable amount due to all the armor. The basic attack is a heavy hitting tail whip that can will hit wherever you are facing and cause knock-back. The second attack is a charged up tail attack that can deal a ton of damage and even hurt metal if held long enough. The final attack is a body slam. When using the bodyslam, the Tangvayosaur will throw it's body into the enemy and deal a TON of damage. This attack has a cool down of two minutes though and a delay upon using it, making timing it key. Harvesting: The Tangvayosaur can harvest the following materials: Berries, Fiber, Thatch, Wood, Meat, Hide. It is best at harvesting fiber, but it is still outclassed by most other herbivores. I would not recommend taming Tangvayosaur for the sole purpose of harvesting. This dino is much better in a PvP setting than a PvE one. Its Place In the Food Chain: The Tangvayosaur is the herbivorous giga. It is unchallenged by any dinosaur that is smaller than a char or giga. It can be easily outrun though, making it better at defending or raiding than rushing down players. It's strengths are its strong defense, health, damage, and mounted cannons. The cons are it's large hit-box and very slow movement.
  14. Sauroposeidon Pharus Hello! Since we recently got a rival to the giga - I decided to present you a rival to another large island creature - behold the Sauroposeidon! While its stats are weaker than the Titano's, it is still worth taming, because unlike the titano it will stay with you permanently. Also please check out the semi-aquatic pterosaur Arambourgiania submission as the creature could work well while taming the sauroposeidon! Species: Sauroposeidon Pharus (latin for Lighthouse/Beacon) Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Neutral Wild: Sauroposeidon Pharus is the tallest creature wandering on land. Usually it can be seen exploring coasts, submerged up to its neck. Similarly to the leedsichthys you can approach the sauropod and harvest raw salt from it. A flock of untamable and high level dimorphodon will fly around this behemoth's head, while in water there will be a school of high level coelacanth guarding the beast's legs. The giant itself will be neutral, but the creatures keeping it company will attack at the mere sight of you. Only 3 sauroposeidons can exist at the same time on one map. Taming: To tame it you would have to kill all parasitic barnacles and sea lampreys that are feeding on this giant's blood. After this is done you will have to nurse it to full health by feeding it enduro stews or/and sweet veggie cakes. This could also introduce marine plant based food aka algae. Those would be ingredients in a recipe that will heal the sauroposeidon. This entire mechanic would render pelagornis useful. Domesticated: While domesticated it could leave the waters and thrive on land, but it will be more comfortable when partially submerged. Weight, Stamina and Movement Speed are reduced while on land but nearly as good as the Titanosaur's while in large bodies of water. Consider this a submersion buff as it doesn't persist at all on land. Their hunger can be only satisfied with algae. Saddle: The seat is located on the head, and you can climb up/descend down it's neck to a platform saddle that is 7 foundations in both lenght and width. While the platform is considerably smaller than the titanosaur's, you can build your fortress higher, and occupy the waters without the risk of drowning thanks to the insane height of your tame. Tek Saddle: Ctrl: Basically works like any tek saddle allowing you to shoot lasers. Can't be equipped with platform saddle. Abilities: Passive: The sauroposeidon will crush anything under it's feet while it's moving. LMB: Swings its neck, dealing damage in a large area lowering damage resistance. Submersion Buff: The sauroposeidon swings its neck which causes a big wave that dismounts players from both aquatic and land creatures, and debuffs their movement speed, oxygen or stamina. RMB: Stomps nearby enemies with its forelimbs. Everything caught up within the area of effect will get knocked back, and their movement speed will be reduced for a short period of time. Submersion buff: Works the same but stamina cost is reduced, damage and enemy debuffs are increased. C and turret mode: Your tame lets out a bellowing 3 second roar that causes all tames (highlighted in green), players and wild dinos (bigger than a dilo) in a large area to be revealed for 20 seconds. Their icons, gender and levels will be displayed. Also works on aerial creatures. Submersion Buff: Now it aditionally works on all aquatic creatures in a large area. X/Wheel Menu: The sauropod lowers it's head to the ground, allowing it to be mounted/dismounted from the ground. Cannot be reverted until 10 seconds after the animation ends or the creature is mounted/dismounted. Stats: Considerably lower than titanosaur, even with submersion buff. It's made that way because its a permanent tame with a tek saddle. P.S: I am always open to suggestions so please let me know if you would change or add anything!
  15. The Giraffatitan LMB attack - a simple stomp with one legs depending on the way you look is which leg will stomp if need this attack could collect all the resources you would need RMB attack - raising up onto its hind legs the Giraffatitan begins walking to wards its target unleashing a powerful ground slam this attack could break the the strongest of structures C attack - a roar to make most carnivores on the arks be filled with fear or rally your friends and tames X attack - with the neck of the Giraffatitan being so long it decides to swing it like a club wiping out forests easily and knocking back its foes The Giraffatitan would be much bigger than the brontosaurus but still being smaller than the titanosaurus with its size and weight when entering the water it will proceed to walk on the ocean floor with the rider being safe on its head in a small compartment the Giraffatitan would be a tank perfect for soaking those pesky turrets Taming this powerful beast wont be easy he wont go down with out a fight fight the Giraffatitan until it reaches 25% of its hp to which it will give up the fight and start running this is the perfect chance to knock it out shoot it with tranq arrow or darts until it finally falls to the ground but be careful it wont stay down long so make sure you bring plenty of narcotics this dino loves to eat especially extraordinary kibble I think Giraffatitan would be a good fit in ark if you vote for it thanks

    Diplodocus

    From the album: Dossiers

Common Name: Diplodocus Species: Diplodocus Insulaprincep Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Naive Wild: Despite being one of the Island's larger creatures, Diplodocus Insulaprincep is among the Island's smaller sauropods. Instead of the size and intelligence, Diplodocus developed faster maximum speed and greater endurance. When fully matured, it generally only reaches about two-thirds the size of the rather enormous Brontosaurus. Diplodocus is another creature whose continued survival on the Island confuses me. It's a very thick-headed and trusting animal, often to its fatal detriment. It usually doesn't flee from predators until after they've attacked it repeatedly, preferring instead to make numerous fruitless attempts at friendship. For some strange reason, Diplodocus trusts humans so much that it doesn't seem to fight back against them... ever! Domesticated: Due to Diplodocus' smaller frame, it cannot support the type of 'platform' saddle that other large creatures can. To make up for this, many tribes instead use a three-seater passenger saddle that allows Diplodocus to carry two additional riders. These passengers often use ranged weapons to protect the creature, or to attack nearby enemies while on the move!
