Megalochelys: Info Name: Megalochelys' Diet: Herbivore Aggresion: Docile Timeperiod: Late Miocene-middle plesitocene Taming: Passive Megalochelys (great turtle) is one off the biggest tortoises that have existed. Turtles/tortoises is my favorite type off animal and as much as I like the carbonemys it feels like it can be done something more with a turtle tame. Dossier: Wild: The Megalochelys is a huge and heavly armourd creature and don`t realy seem to notice or care about the predators around it. It spends most off it`s days wandring in look for food and water in the harsh desert landskape it inhabit. Even tho it`s behavior might seem to indicate that the Megalochelys is to passive or oblivius to fight back this could not be further from the truth. In the rare occasions where this behemoth actualy feels threatened it will charge into battle using it`s huge weight to crush it`s opponent and in this instant thats not a figure off speech. Contrary to it`s weight and size Megalochelys can pick up incredeble speed.. well for a tortoise atlest. Domesticated: The tribes I have meet that have been abel to domesticate one off these behemoth has found a lot off ways to make use off it`s abillites. Plenty off tribes use Megalochelys as a beast off burden as it`s defensive nature attracts few if any predators. And in the case of a ambush from another tribe they have thougt Megalochelys to simply shut it`s shell close to keep all tools and materials safe. These tribes usly need to find ways to bye pass most water ways as like other tortoises Megalochelys aren`t effective swimmer. But this is far from the most bizzare people have done. Some people thought the best way to utilize it was to strap weapons to it`s shell. I even whitnessed a tribe who straped flamethrowers and rocket launchers. While as silly as straping a gun to a turtle`s shell the results don`t lie. These armed tesudins have became quite popular as seige beasts among certian tribes and feard amoungst there enemies. In game: Megalochelys is gona be the ultimate soaker/tank. Simular to the the carbonemys and other armoured creatures the Megalochelys`s heavy shell reduces incoming damge, but its legs are coverd in large hard scales that also reducses incoming damage ( less damage reduction than the shell). Pretty much only it`s head, neck and tail is not armoured. It will pretty much be a bigger, stronger and more defensive carbonemys. Movment: *Megalochelys is slow and heavy but can pick up speed when sprinting (moves faster and faster simular to rhino and dire bear but decently slower) *It can turn in place. *It is to heavy to swim but it has plenty off oxygen for itself and the rider. Walks along the bottom. *In return off beeing so heavy it can`t be knocked around or picked up exept for the rhyniognatha. Abiliets. *Bite: turtle go chomp. Decent damage *Snapper: the Megalochelys tucks in it`s head and charges up a attack where it shoots out it head in a fast motion and chomps down on it`s target. The longer you charge The more powerfull the attack. smaller creatures (including humans) will get traped in Megalochelys`s jaws where they can be carried around. *Block out: The Megalochelys tucks its head in and shouts it`s shell almost completly closed (only it`s legs sticks out) this increases it`s damgae reduction for incoming damgae including elemental damge like fire. This also protect the rider from whether and enviormental effeckts. I imagen the saddle is placed on it`s neck or in the front opning off the shell so when it closes the survivor is protected within. The Megalochelys can while slowly walk around in this state but it will drain it`s stamina over time. *Lock up: Hold e and a option to lock up will appear this result in the Megalochelys going into it`s shell. This result in it taking no damage but it won`t move or fight back against anything until it`s called back out. This also works as a safe way for it to regenerate it`s healt back up or keeping imortant items safe. *Belly flopp: Megalochelys uses it`s front legg to push up and it`s hind legs to push itself forward to slam it`s heavy body forward, this is a powerfull but slow attack. *Saddle: While Megalochelys is rideable without a saddle equiping it alows you to equip it with some extra fire power. Equipable tool/objects: *Cannon *Flamethrower *Rocket launcher *tek grenade launcher (maby more) No addition rider needed all weapons can be controled from the seat. Place ammo for the equiped weapon in Megalochelys`s inventory and the weapons will automaticly be loaded. Ammo like cannonballs, spear bolts and the likes get a weight reduction. Taming: When you find one you need to use rare flowers to get it`s attention then pretty much talk it for a walk while occasionally feeding it requested items like crops, berries, rare flower or mushroom. If you or it take to much damage the taming progress wil reset so keep an open eye for aggresive dinos. anyway thats my idea so far hope you liked it. Hope you consider give this a vote and help me get this bueatyfull creature into the game. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

Austolovenator, Apex of the plains
Moltenenneard10 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Species Name- Australovenator Wintensis In the wild- Australovenator is a rare species of the ark, only being found in flat, non-forested areas. They can also be found in deserts, but they're even rarer here. Australovenator would have an aggressive temperament toward the player and their teams. However, it would be docile to wild creatures around it unless attacked. Australovenator has a wide agro range and will keep agro until either losing interest (after about 10 seconds) or leaving render distance. Australovenator is incredibly fast, as fast as a rolling roll rat! It takes about 6 seconds for a Australovenator to reach this speed, however. Escaping this animal can be a challenge, but getting to the high ground or running to a nearby dense forest is your safest bet. Australovenator will be a sort of upgrade to the raptor, being about the size of an iguanodon. Taming process- In order to tame a Australovenator I would advise to build a trap and lure it in while on a flying creature. From there, you need to sneak up to it and feed it beer, that's right, beer. From here, it will get a status effect called "Drunk Rage." This effect will aggravate everything around it for about a minute. This will also nearly double its damage. A level 1 Fukui will need about 1 beer jar, a level 150 would need about 13. Once it's fed the final beer, it will tame but will be knocked out for about 10 seconds. Tamed- Australovenator's saddle is unlocked at level 75. A tamed Australovenator has a few unique abilities. To start with, it has its basic bite, the weakest of its attacks. However, you can bite while moving at its extreme speeds. The second ability would be a latching ability, this would allow Australovenator to latch onto a larger animal like a rex and take bites out of it. However, Australovenator can take damage from the creature attacking back in this phase. up to two Austrolovenator can be on a target at any given time depending on the size. a creature the size of a stego could only have a single Australovenator on it, while a creature the size of let's say the dragon could have up to 5 on it at a time. Australovenator stamina would drain quickly during this. The last of its remarkable abilities is its speed. As mentioned before, it can go as fast as a rolling roll rat, however, Turing is a different story. Australovenator when at full sprint can whip around a full 180 at the cost of some of its speed, needing to regain some of it afterwards similar to andrewsarchus. Roles- It can serve many roles and purposes, one of them being for combat. With all of its amazing abilities, it's no surprise, it would fit in as a truly worthy opponent during combat. However, it serves a very nice niche in a PvE setting. It can serve as a metal harvester, as it has a 50 percent weight reduction for metal, stone, sulfur, obsidian, and many other minerals. This makes it great to pair with creatures such as doedicurus and ankylosaurus. It could also be used for boss fights against creatures like the titans and the dragon. In PvP setting, it can be amazing for base raids, being able to whittle a creature's health down and sporting the speed to get away with it relatively unharmed. Thank you for reading through this extensive article about the Proposed apex of the plains.
