  1. **NEW & UPDATED ABILITIES! BIG THANKS TO LUUX FOR SUGGESTIONS!** "Good day, Survivors! Today I present to you my submission for the Aberration creature vote, Chasmosaurus luxoscutum!" GENERAL INFORMATION: The real world Chasmosaurus is a medium-sized ceratopsian that lived during the Campanian stage of the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Alberta, Canada. For more info on the real world Chasmosaurus, here's the Wikipedia article so you can read up on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chasmosaurus DOSSIER TRANSCRIPT: Common name: Chasmosaurus Species: Chasmosaurus luxoscutum Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Short-tempered “WILD” “The fauna on this ARK never ceases to amaze me. An example of this can be seen with Chasmosaurus luxoscutum. While not as large or powerful as its cousin Triceratops or even Pachyrhinosaurus, the Chasmosaurus has one trick up its sleeve to set it apart from the rest.” “Since Chasmosaurus has relatively short horns, they aren’t very good at warding off larger predators. To counteract this, they have developed photophores in their frills that they can use to create a large flash of charge light to blind and stun any potential threats. However, this comes at a cost, for it takes a lot of energy to produce such a large quantity of charge light and will leave the Chasmosaurus fairly tired, with barely enough stamina to allow for a quick getaway.” “DOMESTICATED” “Usually residing in the bioluminescent forest, the Chasmosaurus is a very good, well rounded companion to have. They are big enough to ride, can carry around a fair amount, and seem to be immune to the effects of radiation sickness in the lower levels of the caverns. This, as well as their charge light ability has led to several unhinged lunatics to bring these fellas down to the territory of the Reapers in fruitless efforts to tame one. I strongly advise AGAINST this due to the Chasmo’s lack of physical strength.” To quickly summarize, Chasmosaurus luxoscutum essentially serves as a walking charge lantern, being able to release a large burst of charge light to stun enemies in place. It resides in the bioluminescent forests where it feasts on its favorite food, Plant Species Z fruit. Once tamed, the Chasmosaurus proves to be a pretty good companion. It can be ridden, carry a good amount of resources, and is fairly fast as well. If you really play your cards right, it can possibly even be quite useful in the taming process of Reapers. Personally, I wouldn't recommend doing so due to Chasmosaurus's low damage and defensive abilities. Speaking of abilities… OFFENSIVE ABILITIES: Primary Fire: Melee attack - A standard melee attack, alternates between headbutt and back kick if camera is facing backwards; does moderate damage and minor knockback. (NEW) Crouch Button: Light Toggle - Chasmo has two different light themed abilities that it can swap between, Flashbang and Intimidation Display; These abilities do not do physical damage. Alt Fire 1: Flashbang - Releases a large flash of charge light (much like a Plant Species Z fruit or Charge Lantern) to blind and leave enemies in a daze, unable to move for ~10 seconds; long cooldown after use; uses ~60% stamina when used; temporarily gives Nameless and Reapers the "Charged" debuff during the stun duration. Alt Fire 2: Intimidation Display - The Chasmo roars and pulses a hypnotic pattern on it's frill and body to intimidate larger predators such as Spinosaurus and Rock Drakes; decreases aggro radius for aggressive creatures; gives enemies minor damage reduction and defense down for ~20 seconds when within a certain radius of the Chasmo. Jump Button: Precise movement - Hold down to allow for precise rotation to aim the flashbang ability. PASSIVE ABILITIES: (NEW) Battery Charger - Saddle has "charging ports" on it to passively charge batteries while on the move, able to charge 6 at a time Head Shield - 30% damage reduction on headshots. Stamina Tracker - The glowing spots on the side of the Chasmo’s body indicate how much stamina it has left. Adrenaline Rush - Gains a minor speed boost for a few seconds after successfully stunning a threat with the Flashbang. Radiation Immunity - Does not take damage when in the radioactive Element Caverns area. Energy Refuel - Plant Species Z fruits can be used similar to that of a sweet veggie cake where force feeding the Chasmo one will replenish its stamina quicker; cooldown after use. (NEW) Charge Light Synergy - When in the presence of a source of charge light, the Chasmo receives a slight boost to its damage and overall defense ^^^ Beautiful art here done by Lapis Lazuli on Discord. Go show them some love! ^^^ TAMING (NEW TAMING METHOD!): This idea was suggested by Zipperslipper457 (Big thanks!) This new proposed taming method would require you to have a metal shield specifically. When approaching the Chasmosaurus, it will enter a defensive state and begin to flash its intimidation display, during which it will look at you and prepare to flashbang you. Right before it flashes you, bring up your shield to reflect the flash back at the Chasmo. Doing this will stun the Chasmosaurus instead. When it this stunned state, walk up to it and feed it the Plant Species Z fruit/seed. Rinse and repeat until fully tamed. And there you have it! If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read this! It really means a lot. If you liked my silly little ceratopsian, feel free to give it a vote! Good day, survivors!
  2. Description: Smilodon is a graceful and elegant mammal infested with element. It lives in red and (sometimes) blue biome. Nameless commander. Special features: - Radiation immune + radiation boost - Ability to destroy stone and metal structures (PVP and PVE) - even wild ones in PVE attacks metal houses - Wild Smilodon aggro (from very long distance) to harvesting metal humans or creatures - (tamed) Sensory Acuity: Possesses a remarkable ability to detect scents and sounds from great distances. It can assist players in detecting threats and valuable resources in the surroundings. - Nameless commander - ridden with element in inventory generates glowing light that lures and halucinates nameless to fight with it - just like horde - Wild Smilodon can command Nameless up to green biome - even wild ones can go up. Halucinated nameless dont affraid of charge light - Rock Drake weakness - RD are great enemy of Smilodon - Wild Drakes lure to Smilodon just as much as when egg stealing. Rock Drakes presence lowers hp and damage of Smilodon to its critical value. Tamed Drakes can be very powerful weapon against tamed horde with Smilodon - Surface fire hurts for Smilodon 0,5% damage per second - can survive in fire for 200 seconds and ridden with element gives this ability to rider - Metal / stone / element ore collector with 50% weight reduction and +50% gathering power - Great jumps and climb walls Taming suggestion: Tranqs are only working properly when nameless presence makes glow around wild Smilodon. Shooting tranqs without this nameless presence and charge light spoils taming effectiveness. Taming food: nameless venom, element ore or element. Nameless dont aggro unconcious Smilodon but gets boost to damage and armor with its presence. WIKI: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smilodon https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=smilodon Art: Midjourney
  3. Creature design and dossier by Maira, concept art by Wren TLDR: ENDGAME HERBIVORE Aberration bossing alternative to Megalosaurus Very armoured, high damage reduction - optional: reflected damage? High damage tail swipe - optional: broken bone slowing debuff? Massive explosion of charge light as a special move - optional: attack has a time-based cooldown rather than giving Zuul charge stats like a glowpet AoE spinning attack with high knockback, can keep spinning until stamina runs out Not as good as anky at harvesting but can move much faster Optional: When in sunlight (ie on other maps), charge explosion becomes superpowered by the sun and deals fire damage Trying to eat one of these guys is just poor decision making - GIF from Tenor Real Zuul Zuul crurivastator is an Anky cousin famous for being one of the most complete ankylosaurid specimens ever found—the genus "Zuul" was named because the people who discovered it decided its face had a passing resemblance to the demon Zuul from Ghostbusters; and the species "crurivastator" is Latin for "Destroyer of Shins", as this tanky boi is the suspected culprit for the many cracked and shattered leg bones frequently found on carnivore skeletons in the area! source Image from The Guardian 2017 article "Meet Zuul, destroyer of shins - the 75m-year-old 'Ghostbuster' dinosaur" by Hannah Devlin ABERRATION CONCEPT I've always said that ARK lacks endgame herbivores, and I've also frequently bemoaned that Megalosaurus is the exclusive boss meta for Aberration. So my goal was: how could a large herbivore be a viable bossing mount, especially on Aberration? What niche could it fill that no other creature currently occupies? The most important points for the game meta to me were: Radiation immune for boss arena Advantages against Reapers, the main boss mobs AoE ability to deal with being mobbed Special niche - weaponized charge light Just look at those unprotected shins! - Image from Aberration Steam page I decided that Zuul should live in the rad zone, as currently the only radiation immune herbivore (not including glowpets)—Paraceratherium—doesn't spawn in the rad zone! And in speculative biology, I feel it's important to think about what sorts of adaptations a creature might have developed to be specialized for its environment. So after some thought I came up with: Highly armoured defence (so many carnivores) Impervious to Reaper acid blood Doesn't emit charge light (because Seekers) Eats mushrooms So how can it both be super-effective against Reapers, but not emit charge light and get constantly harassed by Seekers? Have it store charge within its body and give it an explosive attack that works like a Charge Lantern! When I asked Wren to draw Zuul and she asked me how it should look, my main request was "its glow pattern should go up its tail as a visual indicator for when the charge attack is ready! Like: boop, boop, boop, boop, BING! READY TO LAUNCH!" I would also suggest that Zuul's charge explosion becomes superpowered when exposed to sunlight, becoming so intense that it sets things on FIRE! That way it's still a powerful tame on other maps. Moreover the tendency in the depths of Aberration is to be ruthlessly mobbed by everything at once. What if it could have an AoE attack to deal with that? Well I've been playing a lot of Genshin Impact lately and I immediately thought of the spinning attack some claymore characters use. Other people thought of Beyblades, and... I don't disagree! F*** everything in particular - GIF from Tenor Finally, one of the most painful things for me when leaving the Green Zone in Aberration those freezing spores, ahhhhh. And Zuul is naturally going to be quite close to the ground, a rider would absolutely get hit by those spores constantly. So I figured, if Zuul was walking around munching on mushrooms, maybe it could protect its rider? Keep your Zuul supplied with Aquatic Mushrooms, and it would be such a messy eater that the spores of the Aquatic Mushrooms it scatters into the air would cancel out those pesky freezing spores! CONCLUSION Spiky pancake boi calmly munching on mushrooms as nearby Reapers with noticeable limps visibly flinch when Zuul looks at them sideways. Rockwell spends his boss fight hip-deep in liquid element, he vehemently denies this is to ensure his shins are inaccessible. __ CREDIT FOR THE DOSSIER ARTWORK goes to the talented Wren (little.wren) who did an amazing job! Thanks also to Mega for getting me started thinking about how Zuul might fit into Aberration! Also, I love speculative biology. Have some additional suggestions? Have some criticisms of Zuul's proposed niche and adaptations? I confess to not be great at game meta and balancing, got some ideas to make Zuul a more balanced creature? I would love to hear them!
  4. Hello! I decided to submit Tanystropheus for Abberation since I thought we need a new transitional creature from the blue zone to the red zone. Tanystropheus would be the enemy of nameless and not only do increased damage to nameless and seekers but also harvest more nameless venom than any other creature. Not only that, but that Tanystropheus would have a saddle that allowed you to be immune to radiation and swim through the element rivers with safety. It would have the bulk and speed to run from reapers and rock drakes but only did significant damage to nameless and seekers. To tame a Tanystropheus, you would have to sneak up to it like a equus and ride it. You would be on it’s head and every time it thrashes it’s neck, you would have to feed it a tranquillizing item like a narcotic. Narcoberries give the Tany the least amount of torpor and Biotoxin gives it the most torpor. After you knock it out, you would feed it nameless venom or raw prime fish meat like a standard knockout tame. Left click is a standard bite, right click is a toggle to make it stand up, and c is a belly flop it can only do when standing on it’s hind legs. Holding left click will make it gram creatures as big as a ravenger, holding right click will make it thrash with it’s neck, and holding c will make it do a cosmetic roar. If you force feed the Tany Nameless Venom, it will activate a buff called intoxicated madness which increases it’s attack speed by 35% and it’s health regeneration by 45% for 45 seconds. It can get the hydration boost and spawns in the green, blue, and red zones by rivers and element rivers. It’s saddle can be learned at level 52 and can be made with 540 polymer, 320 metal ingots, 135 crystal, 20 red gems, 20 blue gems and 20 green gems and the saddle itself would look like a dome. It can also apply torpor to the creature it has grabbed and slowly apply torpor like a tuso. The trapped creature can only escape if you let it go and you could throw the creature away like a karkinos.
  5. I introduce to you, Plateosaur! The Climbing Bipedal Radiation Immune Destroyer! WILD: Plateosaur is a herbivore around the size of Therezinosaur, found near lush forests of aberration. He is a neutral herbivore, looking to eat mushrooms. Though he looks friendly, Plateosaur can fight apex predators of Aberration, claws on the front legs, whipin' tail, the teeth make Plateosaur a good fighter, able to defend himself from largest of threats. Though they walk alone in this dangerous environment, it makes him an easy prey for predators hunting in big hordes. In this case, he can climb the Aberration cave, not high, but enough for saving a life. TAMING: Like most of the creatures on the Ark, Plateosaur is a knock out tame. Survivors find the best strategy just to shoot at him, they are not very fast even on four legs, so the fastest of survivors can easily run away, the hard part begins when he is high on torpor, then Plateosaur runs away to big cliffs, and starts to climb. Not fast, but survivor needs to react fast, or Plateosaur will just hide beneath the big Rocks. When unconscious, feed him mushrooms, and he is yours! DOMESTICATED: In this hard environment, with radiation all around, it's hard to find a creature with immunity, however, Plateosaur can find it. Feeding it 1 mushroom, Plateosaur will gain protection for 60 seconds, discluding all the other effects from them. (NOTICE: The effect is stackable only 2 times). In this hard environment, Plateosaur gained a 2x damage to the Apex predators, such as Megalosaur, Rock Drake, Reapers and Basilisks, which makes Plateosaur a best tame for surviovors in the new mysterious world.... ABILITIES: Left click: Attack (on four legs with his teeth, on two with claws on front legs) Right click: Bipedal change (from 2 legs to 4, and from 4 legs to 2) C click: Tail whip (like bronto) ctrl cilck: climbing (if near a wall) NOTES FROM AUTOR: So, on four legs he is higher speed (which also means faster climbing), and ability to gather thatch adn mushrooms, on two legs he is slower, but higher damage, and an ability to harvest wood. Attacks from two legs also cause bleeding on creatures and people. About climbing: His climbing is similar to Megalanias, but way slower, though he drains stamina slower. Also u can use weapons from there. Radiation: The radiation immunity doesn't affect riders. Plateosaur saddle is available on 39 lvl, crafted from 200 Hide, 325 Fiber, 30 Metal and 20 green gems
  6. Welcome to my reworked creature submission. (Original submission will be removed based on rule issues.) Note: This is mainly a place holder to guage the interest of the submission, with artwork and additional info being added depending on engagement. Babibasiliscus are the ancestors of today's Jesus Christ lizard thats adorned with it's large iconic headcrest. A creature that prefers life near sources of water where it can pick up smaller creatures and vegetation to eat in the safety of its own domain but at the first sign of danger, will rapidly run across bodies of water where predators will have a hard time chasing them down. Habitat: Wild Babibasiliscus are omnivorous and prefer quiet bodies of water with plenty of fish, small creatures and or vegetation and can be seen frequently going back and forth, collecting it's meal to eat in peace or feed it's mate. Taming: A tame which has different methods for both sexes. Males - You would first have to sneak up and find out it's craving food, once fed and the lizards trust has been gained it will follow you around and require you to kill and leave carcasses for it to eat, any large creatures, damage, or lack of things to eat will scare the creature away and lower taming affectiveness. Females - Generally found nesting and looking for mates, and are always looking for the flashiest of creatures to pair up with. As such, a collection of dyes will be needed to tame them. On a slow approach to a female they will raise their head to guage the survivors intentions and ask for a colour, on knowing the colour, you need to quickly paint a piece of your armor to that colour to appease her, extra taming affinity is determined by tech progression of your equipped gear (Cloth lowest, Tek highest. I.e. the Shinier the better!) Using the wrong colour, applying too late or being scared off will lower taming affinity. Tamed: The lizard is comfortable living in all biomes and has very little offensive capabilities but more than makes up for it with its speed and agility to get out of bad situations or in a pinch it relies on the player to pick off enemies from its back with a stabilized roller saddle that allows the player to look and attack from every angle whilst mounted. Abilities: (Although none are guaranteed it will make it to game.) Bi/Quadrupedal - Quad for brisk land cruising Bi for running from danger Radiation immune - Being found in the three main areas of Aberration the lizard has become adapted to the harsh conditions of the red zone without fear of radiation damage. (Can still be damaged being submerged in liquid element.) Water runner/swimmer - The lizards iconic feature, being able to run bipedal over water and liquid element at high speed, gaining a buff like spinos from water sources which can also be taken to land. It is also a decent swimmer thanks to its large paddle tail. Item collector - With its natural instinct of grabbing and relocating it's food to safer areas, the lizard is able to pick up single static items such as eggs, dead bodies, bags, dropped items, artifacts (Able to hold a second artifact.) and loot drops to different locations so a survivor can collect said items in much safer areas. Tic tac - An ability that allows the lizard to jump from one surface to another in order to reach places it normally couldn't. (I originally wanted a climbing creature but didn't want to overshadow the Rockdrakes so a parkour style wall to wall jump is what I ultimately decided on.) I hope you like the ideas in my submission although I understand that my vision for the creature may not be for everybody. I'm always open to critique and constructive criticism, so if you see something that you think would work better or better fitting, then please let me know in the comments. (Artwork will follow if this submission picks up enough interest.)
  7. Welcome to my first ever submission and post! Note: This is mainly a place holder to guage the interest of the submission, with artwork and additional info being added depending on engagement. 8. Krolk is evolved form of carnufex carolinensis it evolved longer arms larger hands larger body longer thicker leggs to jump cliff to cliff on abb krolk is amazing getting around the map they can run decently fast and jump great distances krolk is really good dino for pvp it can do a jump smash regular smash and it can grab medium dino with its tail and throw them when krolk is in radiation zone it starts to glow around its tail and back and it's fist it gets a melee buff and resistance buff u also don't haft to worry about a saddle for krolk it's has armor like a shadow mane but when it's in radiation mode make sure u wear hazard gear it will give u the radiation effect with out it it's size is around the size of a reaper king but a bit shorter last picture is what it evolved from its like how the ryno got larger
  9. (If anyone cares to make a dossier based on the information below, I would be very grateful and credit whoever does) Dossier Common name: Tyrannophontes Species: Tyrannophontes vastatus Time: Carboniferous Diet: Omnivorous Temperament: Patient Wild Unpredictable is how I would define Tyrannophontes vastatus, this giant crustacean is a lethal ambush predator and extremely territorial, even with others of its kind. Staying away from deep water is recommended if you want to avoid being impaled or having your bones shattered in a split second, as this most formidable creature should not be underestimated. I believe that this terrible Stomatopod has no weak point other than below its abdomen, as its carapace can withstand the most destructive explosives. Domesticated Although dangerous, Tyrannophontes are very intelligent and are curious about some shiny materials, this can be used to distract them and try to gain their trust. When calmed down, they make excellent companions for combat being able to easily deal with the most dangerous threats, in addition to underwater travel, and resource gathering. Males and females have characteristics that allow them to function differently for virtually any situation. Apparently they can see things that other creatures can't and I also discovered that somehow their exoskeleton can absorb external radiation, maybe this has some beneficial use for the tribes. In Practice and Behavior Tyrannophontes vastatus are giant mantis shrimps bigger than a Roll Rat, they remain in deep waters of all Aberration in the substrate where their burrows are (similar to a Purlovia) and will attack survivors and their creatures if they pass too close to their territory, if you want to avoid being attacked, be aware that even buried it is possible to see its eyes and antennaes exposed. Tyrannophontes have sexual dimorphism, so Males and Females can attack you in different ways, Males are Spearers and will attack by projecting their spiny raptorial appendages to impale you, Females are Smashers and will grab you with their maxillipeds, in followed by delivering a sequence of powerful punches. When lured out of their burrows, Tyrannophontes will be able to chase you, but will give up if you reach land. They cannot bury each other after emerging from their burrows, but they will try to hypnotize you and then attack you if you dive back into the water. If two Wild Tyrannophontes encounter each other they will fight each other for a while until they both break apart. Taming Tyrannophontes have two methods of domestication. The first method is similar in part to Tusoteuthis, you must take a creature of your own, close to the size of a Roll Rat or smaller so that Tyrannophontes can grab it (if you don't want your creature to die, it's good that it has a lot of life, like a Carbonemys for example), then give him one of the materials below to distract him and start the taming bar (Tyrannophontes is interested in shiny materials, being the following: Angler Gel, Bio Toxin, Black Pearl, Crystal, Metal Ingot, any Gems, Element, Element Ore, Gasoline (gas crafted), Congealed Gas Ball, Charge Battery, Glow Stick and Nameless Venom. The rarity of the item does not influence the percentage of taming, but the time that Tyrannophontes will be distracted, the rarer the item you offer, the longer it will be distracted), it will not consume the item, but after losing interest, it will drop it and return to attack the nearest target, keep your distance so as not to become his target. Repeat this process until the taming bar is full and you've tamed your first Tyrannophontes. The second method, if you already have a tamed Tyrannophontes, you can use it to fight a wild Tyrannophontes you want to tame (Tyrannophontes are immune to being grabbed by other Tyrannophontes), don't worry about your or the wild's health, they are extremely resistant, even the low level ones and the effectiveness is not affected, just keep attacking with claws or fists (depends on the gender of your Tyrannophontes, but this does not influence the taming), when the taming bar reaches 90% the Wild Tyrannophontes will stop attacking and raise its abdomen, displaying a respectful behavior, at that moment you must stop attacking it (if you pay attention to the taming percentage) and display the same behavior towards it, with that the taming bar will fill up faster and when complete, congratulations! Skills and Capabilities First of all, let me inform you that although many similarities, Tyrannophontes IS NOT a copy or replacement of the Roll Rat, Tyrannophontes has many other unique peculiarities. Tyrannophontes aren't very agile on land, though they can still be great fighters and gatherers. They are extremely versatile in the water, with a fast turning radius. They are immune to torpor, radiation and other factors that you will see below and their carapace offers a lot of defense to any part of their body, except their lower abdomen, which is their weak point (its exoskeleton is adapted to extreme environments, preventing Tyrannophontes from being affected by the exposure of the surface of Aberration, favoring optimal exploration even during the day). Cnidaria do not damage Tyrannophontes. They can be bred underwater and the female will lay an egg. Tyrannophontes could deal with Wild Reapers without much difficulty and would be great battle companions, along with tamed Rock Drakes and Reaper King, being a support in the confrontation against Boss Rockwell. Left Click: a primary attack with the raptorial appendages. Males will have a quick, double claw attack, hitting targets even far away from him (similar to Therizinosaurus). Females are stronger than Males, will have a club attack, it is slower and needs to be hit closer, but in addition to giving a good knockback, it also inflicts a Fracture for 3 seconds. It can be used both in water and on land. Right Click: press to send Tyrannophontes rolling away, very useful for long trips on land, as destructive as a Roll Rat and more maneuverable than a Doedicurus. If used in water the Tyrannophontes will curl up fully enclosing its carapace and protecting the lower part of its abdomen, but is unable to move. Space bar: hold to charge a super punch or skewer. The Females will cause high damage and a powerful knockback, knocking opponents away, they also cause a unique debuff called Shell Shocked that makes the armor of survivors or saddles of creatures totally ineffective for defense for 60 seconds (this debuff also inflicts on wild creatures, for example a Carbonemys takes 0.5x damage on the tail and 0.2x damage on the shell, under the Shell Shocked debuff its defense will be broken and Carbonemys will take the same damage as the head on the whole body, another example is that a Doedicurus will not be able to stay in their balled form under this debuff, making themselves more vulnerable. However this debuff does not affect other Tyrannophontes, because its carapace is practically unbreakable, being immune). With this attack the Females can destroy even Tek structures. Males will not cause this debuff, but will quickly fire their claws at the opponent, penetrating other creatures and the survivor's armor, trapping them (similar to Stego). Males are only able to destroy Tatch, Greenhouse and Wooden structures. This attack can also be used while underwater and with an added bonus, when charging, Tyrannophontes will fire a massive shockwave in a straight line hitting ranged targets and paralyzing them for 5 seconds, dealing the same damage as the physical impact, at area concentrated by the shockwave would become very hot for a few seconds. C Key: hold for Tyrannophontes to raise its abdomen and display its pleopods, uropods and antennal scales which will glow in a pattern of vibrant, iridescent colors, this demonstrates respectful behavior towards Wild Tyrannophontes, but can also be used to cause a hallucination effect on players (similar to the fertile red mushroom spores clound effect in Aberration) or hypnosis on wild or tame creatures in PVP, works both on land and in water, but consumes stamina the longer you hold it down (Tyrannophontes can be brought to other maps and this skill being able to function as a "mirror" returning the roar of the Rhyniognatha, scaring the own). Hypnosis can cause different effects on other creatures, it can paralyze (PVP tribe creatures) or calm them down (wild creatures), not focusing on you or your Tyrannophontes (or creatures and your tribe members if they are nearby). Hypnosis will also force invisible Rock Drakes to reveal themselves (whether wild or tamed). Hypnosis is also very useful, as it facilitates stealing Rock Drake eggs and taming Basilisk quietly. The downside is that the Tyrannophontes would leave the lower part of its abdomen exposed and more vulnerable to damage, but the hallucination/hypnosis would affect all entities (not from your tribe) in a large radius around the creature, being a good tactic in certain situations, as well as used to tame Wild Tyrannophontes. Mesmer hypnosis from Subnautica X Key: allows Tyrannophontes to attach to any surface at the bottom of the water and walk, rather than swim (similar to Megalanias and Rock Drakes clinging to the walls and ceilings of surfaces), can only be used underwater as Tyrannophontes would not be able to to support your body on the ceiling or vertically on land. MMB: grabs players and creatures with its maxillipeds (aquatic creatures from a Manta to a Sarcosuchus and land creatures from a Bulbdog to a Roll Rat). R Key: probably the coolest ability of this creature, Tyrannophontes can switch between 3 different vision types, beyond normal vision (real mantis shrimps have the most complex eyes in the animal kingdom, having between 12 and 16 photoreceptor cells, the ability to change wavelengths, trinocular vision and depth perception). When using one of the other 3 vision types will consume stamina, Tyrannophontes will also not be able to use the hallucination/hypnosis skill. Night Vision: same function as Night Vision Goggles or rather, equal to the Tek Helmet's Night Vision, giving perfectly clear vision underwater (I honestly think a dynamic polarization vision would be more interesting, but I don't know how this could be applied in the game). Infra-red Vision: like Snow Owl's Predator Vision, it works on land and in water. Ultraviolet Vision: the environment is changed to an ultraviolet color palette, this vision allows Tyrannophontes to see the general stats of any creature and at long distances (like the HLNA does in Genesis Part 1, but better). If you carry a light pet with Charge Light active to detect highest-level wild dinos, this Tyrannophontes vision will be extremely useful for analyzing the nearby creature's stats. It also lets you detect buried creatures such as Reapers Passive Skills and Utilities By now it is clear that Tyrannophontes was made for PVP, but it would also be very useful in PVE and Host Solo. They are excellent in fights against Reapers, are not affected by the knockback of Tail Swings and are immune to Burning Acid from Reapers when they die. You could leave your Tyrannophontes walking, so they would collect various natural resources in large quantities and still with a 75% weight reduction of practically all these resources (more efficient than a Ravager). Males and Females would pick up resources with different efficiencies, the Males being Spearers would work like a metal sickle collecting more Tatch, Fiber, Berries, Mushrooms, Flint, Organic Polymer, Meats and Silica Pearls, while the Females being Smashers, would work like a metal pickaxe/axe, collecting more Fungal Wood, Hide, Pelt, Chitin, Keratin, Crystal, Obsidian, Oil, Metal, Stone, Black Pearl, Element Ore and Gems (Tyrannophontes can be carried by Karkinos and thrown by them to reach higher areas, thus allowing for a more efficient means of locomotion with a large amount of resources). Tyrannophontes are also immune to radiation, but the best thing about this is that they can absorb ambient radiation into their exoskeleton, making them almost like a walking "nuclear reactor". When they become radioactive, they glow a fluorescent bluish hue, but no need to worry as the Tyrannophontes' radiation does not affect the rider, nor dinos and other tribe members, wild dinos and PVP tribes will only be contaminated if your Tyrannophontes attacks them, but you can activate the "release radiation" option in the Tyrannophontes option wheel, with that all wild creatures and PVP tribes will be exposed to the radiation of your Tyrannophontes. By releasing radiation, your Tyrannophontes will function both as a ranged defender, exposing radiation to virtually any threat, and as a Tek Generator, supplying power to any electrical devices in your base, be it on land or underwater bases, lasting around 48 hours in real life, until all the radiation is gone (stats in percentage), but you can turn this option off whenever you want to store the rest, it is very functional, as radiation is also a energy type (although Tyrannophontes radiation has the same range as a Tek Generator, it is not capable of powering Tek devices). Scorpion under ultraviolet light Just for fun, Tyrannophontes would mimic some survivor emotes (like Bloodstalker does). Saddle: Tyrannophontes's saddle can be unlocked at level 62 and crafted at the Smithy, with 210x Hide, 120x Fiber, 110x Cementing Paste, 380x Metal Ingot 125x Crystal and 50x of each Gem. The saddle is closed and prevents the player from losing oxygen, in addition to preventing you from being exposed to mushroom spores, radiation, Basilisk venom spitt, Reaper acid blood, the day surface of Aberration and Rockwell energy spheres (the rider and his light pet are unaffected by being protected inside the saddle, but the Tyrannophontes will still take damage if hit, albeit reduced), its design would be a combination of the Magmasaur Saddle with the Roll Rat Saddle.
  10. First of all i know that this genus Is still alive, but let me explain this, this Is based in a fossil founded on Chile, it was a metatarsian from a raptor bird, this fossil was compared to an actual tiuque, a raptor bird that lives in the south of Southamerica, there is a special thing with that bird because it changed genus two times, from milvago to phalcoboenus and from this to daptrius, but the fossil remained as Milvago sp., a hawk from ancient times, but don’t make troubles with an actual genus, i mean, i the votations of Scorched there was an Acinonyx criature, a remaining genus, so i don’t see any problem to add this creature, and it haves an only paleoart, in base of that paleoart is this creature made. Habilities In game, this creatureis the king of the aberration, less than an argentavis in size but more than a pelagornis, this creature have different sizes too, like a dodo on mobile, only the biggest can be riden, the small ones are more louder and can scream from your shoulder, the creatures of the aberration know that scream and know that you don’t play with the Milvago, so for limited time, no creature will approach to you, also the small ones will deal more damage with It’s claws, for other side, the big ones deals more damage with their beaks, because these hawks use their claws like daggers but doesn’t have the special claw that kills, they kills their preys with their beaks, also when this creature are flying, it can do acrobatic tricks like actual tiuques and when it’s doing this tricks (like backflips on the air or like dangeous curves) their claw attack deals much more damage than when is in a calm moment and all of this is when is not with his special armor-saddle, this special saddle is inmune to radiation and makes the beak attack stronger and even can penetrate natural armors, even can kill easily reapers, demostrating who is the real king of the aberration, and this is not ending yet, the armor-saddle has a special thing over the head, a special device that can absorb the radiation and it can be liberated in a strong radiation beam that can kill almost anything. behavior and taming This creature is an apex predator, kills almost everything in his path except for dodos and featherlights, because these three are the only birds on the aberration, and of there was more birds, the milvago is never going to hurt them; the milvago can be tamed offering an expensive sacrifice, like the baby of a reaper or a basilisk. Something apart This creature is mi idea of addition to the game, please read all, please support me, since i was a child always dreamed with making my own characters from the games that i loved, just help me only for this time to make real at least one of My dreams, thank You. About the images And in the images you can see the paleoart that i mentioned and the strange concepto that i did of his saddle with a black color (because i hadn't grey), and i know that it sucks but it will be so awesome if someone helpe doing a better concept, thank You again.
  11. Dossier Generic Info: Common Name: Uropygi Species: Mastigoproctus titanteus Time Period: Carboniferous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Territorial Tameable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breedable: Yes Taming Method: Passive Emblized By: Large Bear Trap, Chain Bola Prefered Food: Alpha Tributes A real life Uropygi (aka Whip Scorpion or Vinegaroon). Wild: The Uropygi is a giant relative of modern day whip scorpions. They spawn just about anywhere on Aberration (but are VERY, VERY rare). They have an increased chance to spawn on the surface. They are very powerful with their claws dealing bleed damage and their whip-like flagella being able to stun enemies and pull survivors off their mounts. They’re very territorial and will attack any challenger that steps foot in their domain. These are ambush predators that will burrow into the ground and attack their prey from above, similar to the Basilisk and Reapers. Although unlike true scorpions like Pulmonoscorpius, they are completely non-venomous, but still deadly due to their claws having the ability to cause their targets to take intense bleed damage. The males of this species have much larger claws and longer forearms than the females. Taming: Taming the Uropygi is not an easy task. Their exoskeleton is too hard to be pierced by tranqs so the best way to tame this creature is by immobilizing it with a large bear trap or a chain bola, then feed it tribute items. This creature is incredibly fussy and won’t be willing to trust survivors that easily. They will only trust a survivor when they feed it several tributes from creatures on the map. This includes Nameless Venom, Spino Sails, among others. You get extra taming effectiveness when you use Alpha Tributes like Alpha Basilisk Fangs, Alpha Karkinos Claws, and Alpha Reaper King Barbs. Once Tamed: Uropygi can be mounted with a saddle unlocked at level 97. This saddle has a special cockpit similar to the Magmasaur saddle. This allows the arthropod to bury into the ground, and even move around, with the survivor still being able to breathe and keep sand or dirt out of their eyes. This makes it a great traveling mount as well as a powerful war mount. Additionally, their strong exoskeleton makes it so they are immune to radiation and can go out on the surface of Aberration during the daytime, for their exoskeletons can absorb ultraviolet rays. Survivors can use this to their advantage. If a tamed Uropygi is hit with a Charge Lantern, they will absorb its rays and emit charge light throughout their whole body. This effect makes the arachnid much more powerful, but only lasts for about 10 minutes. It will also weaken any Nameless and Reapers in the area. Uropygi Saddle Concept. A tamed Uropygi buffed after being hit with a charge lantern. Controls: Left Click: Claw Attack (Main Attack) Right Click: Whip Attack C: Burrow/Surface X: Claw Swipe Attack *And yes, I was inspired by the Silurian Scorpion from Primeval. I only used the model for the dossier because I can’t create awesome paleo artwork.
