We've heard not much about oceans in ARK 2. Is WC getting rid of them because they're a pain to make, or are they just being secretive? Even in the trailer, all I remember seeing is small-ish lakes and rivers. What if oceans aren't a part of ARK 2? No one would be complaining if the Island ocean was turned into a huge plains biome, but look at what WC did with the Genesis ocean biomes. They look amazing! Imagine that in UE 5 and with new design elements and creatures. I'd be more than a little disappointed if there were no oceans in ARK 2, but what's your take on the subject? When I go to launch Ark nothing happens and after a while it shows up as not responding and I have to force quit it. I am on MacOS Ventura (I think that’s the latest one, if not then I am on the latest one, I am away from my MacBook at the moment and cannot check) and I have an Intel i5 so I can’t use the M series patch.

I had to many items so i dropped them to grab later, one of those was a Chibi Noglin. It desapeared because i forgot about it, do i have to beat the boss version of it or what because to be honest i never even knew what a Noglin was untill the Chibi one appeared in my inventory out of no where. So was that a glitch,is it just gone now or do i just earn it this time?

Hello everyone. I am trying to set up a server for me and my friends. Hosting on windows 10 to xbox users. There are no much info, most is here, and i have a lot of questions. But first i am going to start with something simple. How many FPS do you have on Server Frame Rate? I am on 20-21, rock solid all the time. I tried on 2 different PC's and in both is the same, one being much older and worst than the other. Is it possible to reach 30? Thank you!

I'm curious-can you fear roar boss minions? Pretty sure all the Island bosses summon in fear-roarable minions. If so, then this could be interesting.

Exactly what it says on the tin-does ARK support surround sound on any of the Xboxes? I'd love to hear when a rex is stomping on my tail instead of having to constantly stop and look around. And out of curiosity, does it support surround for any of you PC players? Good luck, and Happy ARKing!

I was wondering is there any way to get dlc creatures on fjordur, like for example have the x spino being a rare spawn in the place of the normal spino, like the r giga has a 50% chance of being an r giga or a normal giga, i feel like it is but idk how, pleas hewp

Question: How do I get the tripwire alarm trap to work on official servers? The wiki has this note from changelog 243.0 about tripwire alarms: However, no matter what I do, I cannot get this work. I am playing on an official server on the Steam version of Ark and have linked my Steam account on SurviveTheArk.com (this website). I have created a tribe on this website (not related by name or anything to the tribe I am playing in on the official server). I have tried everything that I have read from other posts on the forums, including ranking up from "Early Birds" to "Member" on the forums. Does anyone know if this feature of the tripwire alarm trap is still functional, or was ever functional to begin with on official Steam servers?

Let me make it clear, I did not use any spawn command of any sort I first went to the cold realm and got my self two Ice wyvern eggs, Lvl 180 and Lvl 190 I tried incubating them together and it worked. They were both incubating with 0 Health Loss. During this my Wyvern egg Lvl 190 just vanished after incubating till 67% with the Lvl 180 incubating successfully Then I went to the Fire Wyvern Trench and got myself a fire wyvern egg of Lvl 185 and once I started incubating it, the process started but it too vanished after reaching about 53% incubation rate. (Playing Solo PVe) My question is WHY? Did anyone else experienced the same problem?

Hello! I’ve recently got Ark from steam with some friends (we were waiting for the game to get a lower price since most of us couldn’t afford paying it, and it ended being free) and we decided to play together, so we started by trying the Non-dedicated session, and not a single one could connect, it’s the 5th day and only once we were able to join each other, to then get kicked out and having no more success from that point. Went online to find out some fixes but almost nothing and the fixes I found didn’t work at all. So then I decided to host a dedicated server from an external laptop I got, went and found out about ASM, and I got everything going, saw videos, tutorials, FAQ’s, common errors and fixes, and tried to do everything I could so the server would run flawlessly And indeed I got it running, I checked most of the things, steam detects it, we detect it, port’s forwarded, we can connect to it only to still have the same error of connection timed out. 4 people, I’ve just spent 5 more hours trying to find fixes for this but nothing. It’s about to make 6 days of us having the game, and none can connect to the server, nor to each other. Maybe I made the server in a different region from ours? But then why would the Non-dedicated session also not work? I’m unsure what’s the problem that’s going on, so I came here to ask for help if anyone has a fix or has been having the same problem. We’re EU players, if that can help thank you

Sorry if this was the wrong spot to post this but I couldnt find anywhere else. Hello! I have just gotten ark for free on steam and was hoping to make a server to play with my friends. I used Ark Server Manager to create the server and all was going well. I put the ports into my router settings to port forward them the same way I had done it with minecraft. I was able to join the server but my friends arent able to and a port checker tells me I havent opened them despite the server being open. So far what I've done was open the port in my firewall and I did that for 7777, 7778 and 27015. I also made sure that it wasn't blocking shooter game as well. That didn't seem to work. I have also already put them into the router settings. My server for minecraft works I was just wondering why these ones don't seem to work. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
