Enhydriodon dikikae, the specific species I chose, lived in modern-day Ethiopia ~3-5MYA, in the Pliocene. It is an extremely large otter, estimated to be around the size of a lion or bear. Common Name: GIANT BEAR-OTTER Species: Enhydriodon morsus Time: Pliocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Enhydriodon look extremely similar to the common river otter, but with one major difference- they're huge! Their large, interlocking front teeth aren't only ideal for dealing a killing blow, but dragging corpses to their feeding grounds, along with stealing small creatures from the surface and drowning them. I've often seen Enhydriodon that live in the swamp actively seek out Sarcosuchus as well as Kaprosuchus just to fight them. They stalk them for hours on end and seem so much angrier when fighting a croc compared to anything else threatening its territory and dinner. Ichthyornis and Megapiranha seem to be terrified of Enhydriodon. Maybe this could prove useful at times. Domesticated Enhydriodon make excellent travel mounts. Their webbed hands barely impede its ability to walk on solid ground. Its whiskers allow it to detect predators- and prey in even the darkest depths of the ocean. With the right materials, some survivors have managed to turn this beast into a hulking submarine! Their saddles have a built-in shield to protect the rider. Now i can get up close and personal with those nasty Cnidaria. Abilities Enhydriodon would obviously have a simple primary bite/swipe and possibly a secondary tail slap. It would have a number of abilities, including a gnash similar to Allosaurus. It would keep the insulation buff that the regular otter provides. While within a certain range of a Sarcosuchus or Kaprosuchus, Enhydriodon will gain a "rage" buff, either similar to Megatherium's, or Carcharodontosaurus' bloodrage where their attack and defense are boosted. This applies to both wild and tamed Enhydriodon, as well as wild and tamed Kapro/Sarco. Their saddle is similar to the Roll Rat saddle, where the dome-shield is furled up until the player mounts Enhydriodon. Then, it unfolds and completely encases the player, protecting it from firearms, creatures that dismount the player (Cnidaria, Microraptor, Kaprosuchus, etc.) Underwater, the dome makes it so that the player will not lose oxygen while mounted, but will not replenish oxygen should the player dismount underwater, similar to the Andrewsarchus minigun saddle. While mounted on Enhydriodon, it has a toggle-able ability that outlines wild and tamed creatures, similar to the Bloodstalker. While active, the Otter's whiskers will have an ocassional twitching animation. At all times, Piranha and Ichthyornis (or potentially, also Cnidaria) are scared of Enhydriodon, as if they have the Yutyrannus fear debuff applied while it's nearby. Enhydriodon would have a pack bonus, that caps at +4. Leaving Enhydriodon on wander in the water would allow it to passively farm silica and black pearls at a high rate. Alternatively, it could have harvesting levels, including bio toxin (because of the dismount immunity), ammonite bile, oil, and pearls. If you two or more Enhydriodon near each other in the water, they should have a radial menu option that allows them to hold hands, a behavior found in otters today! Lastly, Enhydriodon will be able to drag corpses, and small living creatures around in its mouth. Taming Enhydriodon's taming method would be a mix of Carcharodontosaurus and the regular Otter. You would need to drag corpses of either Megalodon, Salmon, Kaprosuchus, or Sarcosuchus towards it and the otter will start eating it. This would only increase the taming % and there would be no period to ride Enhydriodon, UNLIKE Carcharodontosaurus. Sarcosuchus and Kaprosuchus are better to tame it with. Sarcosuchus is equivalent to the Otter's "Kibble." Artwork, Dossier This dossier was created by me, with help of the FTU template. TEMPORARILY DOWN I am out of state and other admins were not active. I'm putting the server into hibernation until I get back home in about two months. (end of April) Always thought about putting my server out there and now I decided its the time since we went through with a server wipe to start fresh recently. Its one server for now, but I hope to add to the cluster at some point in time. For now though a single server with 10 slots is what we have. It was originally just a server for me and a couple of friends, but we decided to open it up and see who else wants to play with us. When you die only you can see the green light of your dead body. Sometimes if you crash when get back to the game you are dead and can’t find that green light of your body. Would be awesome if a tribemate could see it too to find it faster (even a different color so they know it ain’t their dead body incase both players died).

Some permanent changes to official multiplayer that will ease us from this decision to get rid of events in Ark 1 forever. 1) Keep all colored dinos. I would say the best possible way to do this would be to put them on a mod map. But you've said you would have no more mod maps. Here's my idea. One last small map. On it you would not be able to build any construction just sleeping bags. On this map would be all the colorful dinos none of the regular ones. Add more obelisks than just the three maybe about ten. No supply drops. 2) Allow us to download our pets into Single Player Mode. Allow us to upload our pets to unofficial not official. 3) Keep few official multiplayer servers but reduce their number giving us at least 3 mos warning so we can move to last open official servers. This assumes you are planning to close Ark 1 servers to be able to fund Ark 2 servers. 4) Dumb down Ark 1 boss fights so solo players can go in with small group of not leveled Rexes get the boss fights out of the way. Since everyone is leaving Ark 1 for Ark 2 might as well finally let us working people, students, and other solo players have a chance at tek tier. 5) Please make these specific adjustments to the game as in nerf only this nothing else no other nerf just this don't try this some other way nerfing something else - double the decay timers on food/berry decomposition. That is to say the trough keeps berry and meat from decays but only just so because you will want to get a preserving bin. Double these timers. Player inventory less decay. Pet inventory less decay. Trough. Preserving Bin. Electric Refrigerator. Each of those decays are tempting one to go yet higher still all the way to end at a Tek Trough. All of it. Double x2 permanently it's preservation timer so that all perishables decay 2x less than before. Making it easy to keep pets alive and feed babies we are raising. For solo players, students, and working adults who cannot log in to the game every day. Official. Not force us to move off to unofficial who increases stacks and ruins the game breaking the system entirely with the increased stacks mods. Just double the decay timer in favor of the player keeping the stacks exactly as they are. 6) The decay timers on materials gives us a justice system for sharing land. You can ignore this suggestion but I would reduce the timers on these especially the tek tier. Or alternatively only allow people to build with tek on the paid dlc not TheIsland map or the free dlc's. Again number 6 suggestion optional just a concept for fairer justice system in land distribution. Currently people are reporting others and taking over their lands on pve after a moderator-GM removes offending pillars; pillars that were holding walking paths or meat runs. This isn't a self automated justice system but one requiring constant moderation. I doubt Ark 1 wants to continue moderating after Ark 2's release. 7) MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE REQUEST of all. Please change the imprint system to be permanently evented. There is no reason to push us so hard to sleeplessness trying to give these babies enough imprints before their growth runs out. Just let us always do the event imprint where we only have to come up with imprint items once and 100% done!

Mei Long (寐 mèi 龍 lóng) is a duck-sized Troodontid from early Cretaceous Yixian Formation in Liaoning, China. The very first fossil ever found of Mei Long was in a sleeping position, with its head under its wing and its legs folded under its body, which proves the behavioral similarity of sleeping dinosaurs to birds. In fact, this is what led to it getting its name, and it means "Sleeping Dragon" in Chinese. Scientists believe that Mei Long have been the ancestor of later troodontids, such as Sauronithoides, Zanabazar, Sinovenator, and you guessed it, Troodon. Mei Long lived in the Early Aptian stage of the Cretaceous Era, about 125.8 million years ago. At this time, the Liaoning area was dominated by numerous volcanoes in a landscape that was covered in coniferous forest. The volcanoes erupted frequently, entombing animals in ash and suffocating others with carbon monoxide, which accounts for the high level of preservation fossils. Scientists theorized that Mei Long fed on small lizards and insects on the forest floor, as well as being an omnivore. Some people also believed that Mei Long have been an egg thief, like the oviraptor. Stimulated: survivors can choose to keep the Mei Long awake for longer during the night by force-feeding it Stimulant, and that will give it a buff for a few minutes that will make it become "stimulated" and not sleep during the night. You can feed it more stimulants in order to increase the timer, however you cannot feed it too much because it will start to take damage, like having a heart attack due to overdose. An idea to avoid overdosing the Mei Long is to show a counter when it sits on your shoulder, an average human can only withstand about 49 cans of Monster Energy Drink, so to calculate how much Stimulant a Mei Long can take at a time, we can possibly add about 1/4 of that to what a human can take, which is about 61.25, we can then round that to a maximum of 61 stimulant that a Mei Long can take at a time before it becomes overdosed. If the player has feed the Mei Long over 61 stimulants, it will go into an overdosed state that will reduce 20% of its maximum HP that will slowly recover over time, however it will only recover up to 90% of its original HP, and reduce the maximum of 61 stimulants it can withstand to 56. This is the aftermath of caffeine overdose, which will leave a permanent negative effect. Hopefully this will also raise awareness for what will happen when people go under a caffeine overdose, since it is not only extremely unhealthy to do in real life, it can be lethal to the human body too. Feathery Warmth: if you have a Mei Long on your shoulder, it will provide you with extra warmth that will help you survive the cold climate of ARK, and due to its feathery body it will also provide you some resistance towards certain debuffs regarding the cold, such as the breath attack from the Ice Wyervns, and the freezing attack from the Managarmrs. When it's on your shoulder while sleeping at nighttime, it will curl its body around your neck, providing extra warmth and increases your resistance towards any cold debuffs. Another ability the Mei Long can have based on this is to have the ability to incubate dinosaur eggs when its sleeping on the ground and not picked up by the survivor, so you are able to hatch small dinosaur eggs in your early play through. High Alert: scientists described Mei Long as "a stealthy pack hunter with keen senses and high intelligence", so another good ability to have would be granting you the ability to see your enemies from afar while it is on your shoulder. For example, dinosaurs will have a different outline overlay on them, that will show survivors whether they are aggressive or not, so all dinosaur will have a general white outline around them until it becomes aggressive to you, which it will turn red. This passive ability will be really helpful for new and experienced players, showing you exactly what dinosaur is attacking you, allowing you to either move to a safer location before it's too late if you aren't ready for the fight, or giving you a clear view on what target to eliminate. If you are close to another enemy survivor, the Mei Long on your shoulder will emit some clicking/chirping sounds to alert you that there are enemies nearby, and it will give you directions on where the enemy player is by turning its head towards their location, which will show the player a trail of mist or particles that will lead you to the enemy player. Other players will not be able to see the trail other than you, providing you the perfect advantage that others won't have. The True Sleeping Dragon: this ability came to mind with the help of some friends since we believed the Sleeping Dragon should have a special ability, a play on its name, and on its bird-like behavior. When Mei Long is on your shoulder, it will act as a narcotic turret as long as it has narcotic in its inventory, and it will vomit narcotic towards the dinosaur you are dealing torpor to, dealing additional torpor, helping you to knock out dinosaurs faster. If you level up Mei Long's Damage stat, it will deal more torpor with the vomit turret, much like any other creature that deals more torpor the higher Damage stat is. In order to make this seemingly overpowered ability less overpowered, I think it would be more balanced if the fire rate of the torpor vomit is lower than the longneck rifle, also making the base torpor similar to a tranquilizer arrow, making this a more viable early to mid game tame, and it cannot use its vomit ability when it's sleeping. And because this ability will allow Mei Long to deal torpor to the creature you are dealing torpor to, its normal bite attacks will also have a narcotic effect that will deal additional torpor. Simply command your Mei Long to attack the creature while it's either on your shoulder or walking on ground, it will begin to use its torpor vomit turret or its normal narcotic bite attack. Knockout Artist: when you command your Mei Long to attack a creature when it's not on your shoulder, it will run towards the creature you targeted and leap on to it, latching on to it for a while and do one massive narcotic bite attack that will build up torpor over time. This ability cannot be spammed and will have a cooldown. After the Mei Long finishes the attack, it will run back towards you, which you can either command it to attack the creature again but with normal narcotic bite attacks, or pick it back up on to your shoulder. Unsuspected Defender: when you have a Mei Long following you, it will attempt to defend you when there's an enemy survivor getting too close into your comfort zone. Mei Long will use Knockout Artist to knock out the enemy survivor with the torpor that it will inflict. Heartwarming Nuzzles: when the Mei Long is sleeping in a sheltered area (when you get the home icon on your survivor's status bar), it will release a small healing aura that will heal all friendly players and creatures within the area. When you command your Mei Long to sit, you can pet it. By doing so it will provide you with a massive health boost and damage resistance for a period of time, as petting the Mei Long can improve your emotions as well as relieving stress. Kind of like petting a cat! Pack Hunter: being described as pack hunter, Mei Long will have a pack bonus when there are multiple of them within a short radius. The benefits of having a pack hunter bonus with the Mei Longs is that it can provide you with enhanced abilities based on their already existing ones. For example, the High Alert ability will be enhanced if you have a tribemate that also has a Mei Long on their shoulder, granting you both more view radius to see the creatures around you, and having the ability to track enemy players at a further distance; if you have more Mei Longs sleeping together on the floor, they can all contribute to hatching eggs, potentially having the ability to hatch bigger dinosaur eggs, and hatch them at a faster rate. Fortitude: due to its Feathery Warmth that will help survivors against the cold, it will only be appropriate if Mei Long has a Fortitude stat that you can level up, and by doing so it will also increase your Fortitude by a percentage. Respect Your Ancestors: because Mei Long is the ancestor of Troodontids, like the Troodon, wild Troodons will avoid attacking the Mei Long, acting like they are respecting their elders. If you have a Mei Long on your shoulder, the Troodons will completely ignore you and be passive towards you unless you provoke them. However if you have the Mei Long following you and not on your shoulder, the Troodons will instead ignore the Mei Long, and remain aggressive to you. With this creature in the game its going to provide not only both in water and on land uses, but also PvP/PvE uses. In-game Name: Malacostracous Species: Vericrustacea Time: Ordovician Period Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Where do you find them? Yes, you will be able to take them on land however to find one to claim as your own you'll have to go to the deep depths of the ocean to find them on ocean floor. They have decent aggro range in which it will try and pursue you and attack with its giant claws. It has 2 different kind of claws as illustrated below: They'll be dubbed as the Crusher and Ripper claw. Both will have their own unique role for the creatures utilities/abilities. The Malacostracous has the ability to grab small to medium size creatures including players themselves. Once in the clutches of its crusher then it will begin pinching which will do burst DPS per pinch. As a player you will be prompted with a net/bloodstalker like mechanic where you'll have to fight your way out to escape its grips. With its ripper it will simply perform a simple jab like animation which does mediocre damage. Now if fighting back against one of these and it becomes too weak it will then make an attempt to escape in which it will shoot backwards in a burst. As these guys are aggressive yes they will follow you however like other deep sea dwellers it will retreat once it hits a certain depth. It will need to be tamed on the ocean floor or relatively close to it. It will be a passive tame very similar to a squid in which you'll need to hand feed it organic polymer. As we already know if you get too close it will try to attack you so you're going to want to try and get it to grab something to keep it preoccupied such as a Carbonemy. Once tamed you'll able to unlock this creatures true potential and add it to your arsenal and everyday farming task. Abilities: Once it has been tamed it will require a saddle to be ridden. When riding you'll have a similar mechanic to the Karkinos where you'll be able to operate both claws separately. As previously discussed both the Ripper and Crusher claws have their roles to play. The crusher will be on the left side where the ripper will be on the right. When wanting to use one or the other simply click left or right on your mouse or triggers if you use controller. Hard Armor: On top of wearing the saddle it also gets a armor bonus with his hard chitin shell, making for an offensive tame to even push the front lines in heavy PvP. Ripper: This claw will mainly be used for harvesting and attacking will a generic melee however if you click/press and hold with your target in range it will perform a short lunge in which if it makes contact will cause the target to bleed for 8% of its HP. Crusher: This claw will be your main means of DPS with this creature. With nothing in the claw and you press/click will perform a simple claw slam causing mediocre damage. You do not want to get caught in the grips of this oversized death trap. When you click/press and hold with your target in range it will perform a side swipe and if contact is made then will grab and hold and not let go. Once you have your target in this claw continue to press/click to keep crushing in which with each press causes immense burst DPS. **All claw mechanics and damage are affected by melee stat** Water Reservoir: While the creature is on land and not in contact with water it will have a water gauge that will drain overtime and once drained the creature will begin to lose HP at a slow rate. This creature will be the first to have a unique water stat that can be affected by mutations and even leveled to increase its water reservoir allowing it to be out of water for longer periods of time. Once drained you will need to fully submerge the creature in the water to start refilling the gauge however not all situations are perfect so I have provided a temporary solution should you not be able to make it back to water in a timely manner. While the creature is on land should it start raining then not only will this refill its reservoir, but it will stayed filled until it stops raining. Another alternative similar to the Spino is when water seems to be getting low you can refill the water gauge by putting a water container in its inventory and press RT it will refill depending on the type of container you are trying to use(EX: Water Skin, Water Jar, Canteen, or Tek Canteen). More or less the better the container the more it will refill, and more than one can be used at a time. Watershot: This ability is the main reason why the water reservoir is apart of this creature and will play a big part in how this creature fits its way into PvP. While the water gauge has water in it you'll be able to shoot a linear water stream that can reach up to 30-50 meters. DPS works similar to the mana, the closer you are the more it does(also affected by the melee stat). When using this ability it will cause the water gauge to drain relatively quicker than if you was just stand stationary. Once drained you will no longer be able to use the shot and same rules apply, when the gauge is empty then you'll start losing HP unless you replenish with a water source. Watershot can be activated by pressing in on the right stick and be held to continue the duration of the shot. Please refer to the video link as an example(This ability was inspired by the lobsters in Elden Ring). https://youtu.be/dI_USkZSGfU?t=61 Swimming: While in the water it can swim forward at a moderate to quick speed all while having access to their claw abilities however while in the water you cannot use the watershot. However they do have the same directional swimming as a maewing. When you find yourself in a tight situation you can press LT to initiate a backwards burst like when they are trying to escape from you when reaching low HP. This burst will travel up to 25 meters and will eat a decent amount of stam however can be used repeatedly until stam is drained. Stop moving to regain stam while stationary in the water. Organic Poly: This monstrous crustacean is going to be the ultimate organic polymer harvester. When harvesting with this creature its org poly gains will be higher than normal with any other creature. To gather immense amounts of poly per body you will need to utilize the ripper claw. Once the target has been killed then you will press and old RT for the special ability of the ripper claw to take effect and will gather loads of poly. Organic polymer weight is reduced by 50% while in this creatures inventory. Mule: This creature will have moderate to high weight depending on what it comes out as and of course levels can be added so it can carry you as well as a decent load. Breeding: Yes, these guys can be bred however I wanted this creature to be as unique as possible so when breeding these guys they will need to be in water as they lay fish-type eggs. As you know lobsters can lay a lot of eggs at a time however I wanted this mechanic fair and balanced. Once they are finished breeding the female has a chance to lay up to 6 eggs at a time. Each egg having the same potential as the next carrying the male/female stats and any possible mutations. Attercopus is aggressive towards small animals and will use various concoctions to hunt prey; it shoots its chemicals from an organ at the base of its primary tail, much like modern day vinegaroons. Attercopus can also produce webs from its four lesser tails, though they are flimsy and only used for building nests. [ABILITIES/UTILITY] Attercopus has the ability to change the chemicals in its body, creating new concoctions to attack with.These attacks could include shooting goop that lowers the target’s speed by 10%, an acidic spray, healing spray, pheromone spray, and napalm spray. It would be able to utilize these from a shoulder pet position, with an option to aim the various spits yourself. It passively produces alchemical materials used in the creation of special arrows mimicking the abilities of the Attercopus. [TAMING METHOD] Attercopus can only be tamed if raised from an egg, nests can typically be found in dense jungles and deserts. If a mother is inside of the nest she will latch onto you and deal torpor in defense of her eggs. (ALL EXPLAINED) (EXTINCT) The Dracorex is an uncommon creature, that is a mixture between many species of the Ark. It loves collecting rocks, gems and some other kinds of minerals. This creature is very territorial, I highly recommend not crosssing it's limits or you'll be in for a pretty difficult time. Having this creature by your side will greatly benefit you and your allies. It may lose trust if it doesn't get enough attention. TAMING: To gain this creatures' trust you'll have to bring beautiful rocks (in this case gems) and offer them to it. The better the gem, the more taming effectiveness you'll get. The best gems to give it are in this order: 1)Red gem 2)Blue gem 3)Green gem.( I suggest getting the red one as it's the best for taming.) ABILITIES: This creature is very capable of protecting itself alone but it has unique feature! When it devours or breaks a gem it harnesses the mineral consumed and it changes the Draco's attributes. ( If you have tamed the dracorex , you can put a gem on it's inventory so it can devour it or destroy it and get the effects of said gem (keep in mind the gems' different abilities cannot be mixed nor stacked). ABILITY 1: The Dracorex has a bite that causes a bleeding status effect during a small amount of time without reducing the other dino's speed (just draining the dino's health and causing damage overtime). ABILITY 2: The Dracorex dashes torwards it's opponent taking aid of it's wing like protrusions (They're not actual wings, sort of extended scales that make it's arms swifter) and uses it's talon like claws to latch on the back of a dino (during a small amount of time ofc, it can also attack while being attached), furthermore, it causes a speed reduction that affects mainly flyers, if affected while flying it will make it land but it won't be as effective with terrestrial dinos.There's a cooldown between the dashes. After a few seconds it'll be kicked from the dino it was attached to and lose a bit of it's stamina. ABILITY 3 (GREEN GEM): When it consumes a green gem, it increases health, adds a regeneration boost and a poison attachment to it's horns and spiky protruding osteoderms that can cause the poison status effect to enemies while/during a short period of time.This poison can affect multiple creatures at once.There is a green aura around the Draco that shows when the poison is active. ABILITY 3 (BLUE GEM): When it consumes a blue gem, it aquires resiatance against stuns and a stamina-draining effect when dealing with other dinos. When it attacks other dinos, the damaged dinos will lose stamina faster than usual and nearby allies will recharge stamina faster. The Dracorex can hit ally dinos while being in this effect to create a status where the dino gets a stun reduction for a few seconds. When it loses more than 75% of it's stamina while being affected by the blue gems' properties, it will lose 10% of it's health points to make the enemy creature or tribe be aware anytime of the Dracorexs stamina. It also gains a speed boost on all terrain.There's a blue aura around The Dracorex while said gem is active. ABILITY 3 (RED GEM): When it consumes a red gem, it gains a small amount of health from other dinos, so whenever it hits a dino it recovers an amount of the damage it has done. It also can enter into a frenzy-like status that increases it's damage but decreases it's mobility by a small percentage. Enemy dinos won't be able to heal as fast after being hit by the Dracorex while being in this status. After the red gem status ends the dracorex will lose control for a few seconds, be very cautious.There will be a red aura around it that shows when the red gem effect is active. PASSIVE: It can hit attackers directly if aimed correctly when attacking a dino. Farms more gems than usual. Poison affects 50% less to: (shadowmane poison,basilisk...) EXPLANATION: Dracorex isn't able to mix different gem powers at the same time. Once one effect is applied it won't dissapear until a determined amount of time has passed and whenever it finishes, a cooldown will be applied before it can use the abilities of other gem.The mineral extraction is similar to the one insects do but this dino has got to adapt into the environment because of evolution through time. DRAWBACKS: it cannot fly but can lift itself from the ground for a decent amount of height (A feather fall/jump almost) with its large scale flaps, If the Dracorex isn't offered enough gems it'll start being less interested in it's owner as time goes by, it's a tiny bit smaller than griffins C63R17 WINGS SIMILAR TO BAT ONES ( because of the mutations all over time and adaptations to the enviroment) Evolution theory NEAR RELATIVE
