  1. Server Name: JaneKoro - under the search make sure player servers is checked no password, type in Jane or Janekoro 24 /7 dedicated homegrown server ran by us girls Hardcore pve Boosted rates on imprinting, reduced times Extended days Dinos hit extremely hard, we have a rating of 8.0 Supply drops are increased server been up and running a while more clusters coming. island map this is. if you are amazon and think you can hang with us give it a try, or all welcome! east coast low ping times great hardware
  2. So my grumble lately is the fact that ark doesn't give you a death indicator when you die after being dced. I boosted off my roof with my tek suit dced shortly after and when it loaded be back in I had died. To fall damage? To drowning? I don't know but I think neither should happen if I'm wearing a tek suit. I lost my mantis with 124 saddle, my carchar with a 73.5 saddle my beautiful argie for a 224 saddle. My suit, 155 element and stuff for a purple drop, my tek goggles and scanner ive made forthe 4th time already. All because I couldn't find my body. Why do I not get a marker because I dced and died? Why is the game still not optimized for Xbox Series S?? I dc every 5 minutes and thats not even an exaggeration, ive gone and installed ark on my pc because i just want to stay connected. 😭 please tell me there is a upcoming adjustment for the death markers? Or attach least bring the green death beam back with better range. I almost quit the game and I've been playing since a year after Ark Survival Evolved came out. I just hate losing stuff when it's out of my control.
  3. Hey Survivors and Wildcard, I wanted to bring up something I think a lot of players would agree on—the Maeguana should be available on The Center map! Right now, it's missing, and honestly, that’s a huge loss for both PvE and PvP players who love The Center’s unique landscape. Why It Makes Sense Perfect Biome Fit – The Center has a ton of vertical terrain, waterfalls, cliffs, and islands that would be ideal for the Maeguana’s climbing and gliding mechanics. Imagine navigating the huge rock arches or the deep jungle areas with this dino—it would feel super natural. More Balance Across Maps – Every official map should have a fair balance of creatures, and right now, The Center is getting the short end of the stick. The Maeguana is already on Astraeos, so why not The Center, which has a similar environment? More Taming Variety – The Center doesn't get a lot of exclusive or diverse tames compared to other maps. Adding the Maeguana would give players more incentive to explore and tame beyond the usual dinos found here. Encouraging More Players on The Center – Let’s be real, The Center doesn’t get as much love as other maps, even though it’s one of the most visually stunning ones. Giving it access to newer creatures like the Maeguana would make it a more attractive map for both PvP and PvE players. Wildcard, Please Consider This! The Maeguana is one of the most interesting new creatures, and The Center is an underrated but incredible map. Adding it here wouldn't just make sense—it would make the gameplay experience way better for everyone who plays on The Center. Hope you guys consider it! Let me know what you all think! Would you like to see the Maeguana on The Center too?
  4. Ark Ascended Dossier – Cronoscraat dentiacutus General Information Common name: Cronoscraat Species: Cronopio dentiacutus Epoch: Paleocene Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Playful, but fierce if angered Size: Small and agile --- Description: It is an agile and cunning creature, with traits of an ancient mammal and a long-toothed squirrel. Although it is usually playful and elusive, it can become ferocious if it feels threatened, attacking with bites and ambushes. Wild: The Cronoscraat is an instinctive thief that steals and hides objects, causing problems for survivors. It has been seen taking weapons and tools only to bury them or throw them into the water for fun. --- Tamed: Once tamed, it has two modes: ✅ Prankster Mode: Performs pranks such as stealing and burying items, distracting dinosaurs with sounds, and exchanging items for stones in the player's inventory. ✅ Enraged Mode: If attacked or they try to retrieve a stolen item, it becomes hyperactive, attacking faster and biting the enemy's face, causing bleeding and possible disorientation for 5 seconds. It can also dodge certain attacks with quick jumps. --- Taming: To tame a Cronoscraat, players must follow it and give it interesting items in their inventory. It prefers prehistoric seeds, which can be found in special bushes or buried in the desert. If the player moves too fast or tries to force taming, the Cronoscraat will taunt and escape. --- Usefulness in the Game ✔ Useful pet for stealing enemy items in PvP. ✔ Can be used to distract survivors and hostile creatures to escape a dangerous situation. ✔ Good collector of berries and seeds. ✔ Can help reveal nearby enemies with its sound ability. --- Summary: The Cronoscraat dentiacutus is a fun and chaotic shoulder creature, perfect for players who enjoy being sneaky in the game. It can be a great asset in PvP battles and survival situations, but beware: if you anger it, you might end up with a bite on your face and your stuff buried somewhere unknown! --- Explorer's Notes "I've never seen such a playful creature before… until it took my rifle and buried it in the sand. I thought it was harmless, but when I tried to get it back, it attacked me with its huge teeth. Lesson learned: never bother a Cronoscraat."

  6. INTRODUCING MESOPARAPYLOCHELES THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB! (The perfect creature to improve the ocean and land!) Hello, everyone! First of all, sorry about the wall of text, but I really went IN into making this creature as detailed as it can be, with sections exclusive to answering questions that'll probably appear around. Now, meet The Giant Hermit Crab! My first-ever submission to the community creature vote, so excuses me if anything here looks or sounds too op/weak! The one who came up with this creature idea and some designs was my young little brother who loves playing Ark, so if you like anything here, thank him too! -------------------------------------------------------------- DOSSIER These creatures may look scary, but they're actually very friendly. You can find them around the beach or in less populated areas of the ocean, most of the time you'll find it in groups, trading their shells for a bigger one between each other. They can use their strong claws to stick themselves on the ground and let it go, throwing itself like a Cannon Ball! This is extremely useful to move around since the heavy shell they carry on their back makes them uncable to swim at a reasonable speed. DOMESTICATED To domesticade these creatures, you'll need to wait for it to trade it’s shell, something they can only do in a group of at least two of them. After the shells got "traded", the Hermit Crabs will value these new ones quite a bit, enough for them to go out their way to repair it after it got destroyed. The crab will ask for various materials to repair it's shell, from rocks, pearls and flint to metal, obsiodian and even crystal! I imagine that one could destroy their shell and gain it’s friendship back by helping it put itself together... It’s messed up, you it’s there! THE SHELLS After domesticated, the crab can be taught to build shells that allows the master to see from the inside of it, giving them protection from creatures that could take them out, such as Kapros and Karkinos, but at the sacrifice of not being able to use tools and weapons when mounted. -------------------------------------------------------------- NATURE The Giant Hermit crab is a Docile creature, it won't attack the player, only if threatened. You'll be able to find them around the beach and in less habituated areas of the ocean, where they'll be found in groups, changing shells or hidden inside their shells, waiting for others to come for some shell trading or just hiding. Because of their shells, they have a natural stealth ability, making it harder for enemies to spot them ( and so they can stay in groups for longer periods so the player can tame them). MOVES • MULTIPLE PUNCHES The crab can lie on its back and use all of its limbs to perform a bunch of punches, one after another that hits multiple creatures • HIDE MODE The player can make their crabs go inside their shell while mounted or unmounted, this will make the crab unable to move, but will increase its defense while you wait for someone else to rescue you or while you want for your shell to do the work! •RUNNING UNDERWATER The Hermit Crabs can use the weight of their shells to get them on the ground, like if it was on land, that way they can walk underwater AND sprint underwater, something they're pretty fast at, even with the shells on! •CANNON BALL LAUNCH ( Better explained at SKILLS ) The crab can launch itself in the air like a cannonball, underwater AND on land. TAMING Taming this creature will be something along the lines of a Gacha but with a few extra steps... The player must find a group of at least 2 of them, clear the area so nothing crazy can happen, then do the following: First, the player needs to attack the desired Hermit Crab until their health is low, when the low health is reached, the shell becomes extremely damaged and in need of a replacement, the player then needs to get out of the crab's sight and come back. When coming back, the player will see the crabs to start an event where they'll start to trade the shells with each other, the crab with the broken shell will get a new one from another crab, and that crab will simply bury itself in the sand and come out with a new one after some time. This new shell is extremely valuable for the crab and he'll do anything to keep it intact... So the player must attack it again to get this new one almost broken too! When the health is low again, the crab will enter another event where he'll start to repair the shell, but it can't do this alone... This is where it'll start to ask for materials, such as rocks, metal, silica pearls, obsidian, etc... The player must bring said items until the bar fills up and it gets tamed and rocking a new shell! ( I thought about reducing the tame process to simply breaking the first shell and helping the crab repair just there, but I really like the implementation of the event of the crabs trading shells, since it's something they're known for... And I think that after some time, it'll be pretty simple when you know what to do, but you guys could tell me in the comments! ) QUESTION -WHAT IF ONE OF THEM GETS KILLED? WILL THAT AFFECT MY TAMING?- Yes and this would be one hell of an annoyance... but luckily these guys will hide inside their shells and wait for new friends to appear for some shell trading out of nowhere! ( This is something they do in real life too. ) But don't think you'll be able to farm these guys since they'll stop coming after some time, making the current crab dig into the ground and disappear or just... Start to wander around... And die to a Spino... DROPS : - BASIC MEAT - CHITIN - ORGNIC POLYMER SKILLS : Even tho it may look like the Giant Hermit Crab is a water-only creature, the skills it has are really good on land AND underwater, but more so on land. 1 - SHELLS AND CLAWS After years of evolution and being homeless, the Hermit Crabs found a few ways to take advantage of the lack of REALLY big shells... By crafting their own! The player can take advantage of that skill to make them craft some really good shells and claws that can change the way you use the Hermit Crab : • The Stone Shell is nothing more than your usual bit of defense, simple as that. • The Metal Set gives a bit more defense than the stone shell, but it also comes with pickaxe/axe-like claws! With the Metal Shell, the crab can launch itself into resources to break them but also use the claw that has an inside mechanism close to the SNAPPING SHRIMP'S arm that shut to create a cavitation bubble that generates acoustic pressures strong enough to paralyze creatures and in this instance, break rocks, trees, crystal, obsidian and more but don't expect much more than your usual pickaxe... What is good is that the crab gets reduced weight from all these years of "experimenting" with these resources, don't ask me how... ( The Metal Shell also has the format of a can in reference to Hermit Shells using metal cans as shells in real life ). • The Obsidian Set is where it's at. Better defense and attack than the Metal Set and the gloves can give bleed damage because of its spikes that cut the flesh on their way out ( epic ) but at the cost of less distance from the CANNON BALL MOVE and less knockback by punching creatures. ( The shells and claws design is a reference to the Alligator Snapping Turtle's shell! ) • The Bio Toxin set has the defense between the Stone and Metal Shells, but it comes with a really toxic shell that inflicts torpor on enemies that attacks it! And when the enemies start to flee 'cause of the high torpor, you can simply launch your crab against them to continue to inflict torpor! ... The bad part is that doing the CANNON BALL move will end up inflicting more DAMAGE than torpor, have that in mind. ( The design of the shell is a reference to the Red Lionfish. ) •The Crystal Set has not had much more defense than the Stone Shell, but it comes with great spikes around the Shell and Claws that inflicts knockback into enemies, high enough for you to push undesired creatures away from you as you walk/swim/fly. Using the Crystal Shell and the button to make the Crab hide inside the shell, the player can use them as spiked walls! Just put a bunch of them around a creature or area and you'll have great protection over that area! ( The Spiky design is inspired by the spiked walls, something you could use this shell for! ) QUESTIONS -HOW TO IMPLEMENT THE BUFFS?- To get new shells the player must first grab the item and drop it into the SADDLE of the crab, this will make the crab go into a little animation where it'll get out of the shell and start to rebuild it, but only for some seconds. After it was finished the crab will get back into the shell with its gloves and shell ready! -DOES THE BUFF HAVE A TIMER?- The timer of the buffs is the quantity of the equipped items your crab is carrying, BUT it only goes down when getting hit or using the claw when punching creatures or resources. -WHAT IF THE RESOURCES RUN OUT?- When the resources run out, the crab will force the player to unmount and then clear/rebuild its shell to the basic form for a couple of seconds... So be careful with the amount you're carrying! -WHAT IF I WANT TO SWITCH/DISABLE THE BUFF?- You'll need to take the material out of the SADDLE, just like disabling a skin, this will make the crab do the cleaning/repair animation, forcing you out of the SADDLE, so don't even try to abuse it! 2 - CANNON BALL LAUNCH ( Underwater and on Land! ) 💣 The Hermit Crab cannot swim greatly underwater when it has the shell on, something that happens with the real worlds version of them too, so in this iteration, it has to rely on its cannonball move, where it'll stick its hand into the ground, push itself back, then let it go for a cannonball launch of itself! This is a great way to move around with this creature that isn't very fast underwater, but a bit faster on land. While in the air with the cannonball launch the crab will hide inside the shell to be ready in case it hits any enemy in the way! And talking about enemies, the ones that are hit by the shell while in cannon ball mode you receive damage and any of the extra buff implemented by the shell being used at the moment. I had the idea of making them be able to stick and launch themselves from walls, but I feel like this could be... A bit too much. QUESTIONS -CAN THE CRAB SWIM UNDERWATER?- Yes, but with the shell, the speed is very bad, so the CANNON BALL move will be a better option, byt WITHOUT the shell the swimming speed is way better, but you're WAY too vulnerable. -CAN YOU DECIDE THE DISTANCE OF THE CANNONBALL JUMP?- Yes, you'll be able to decide the distance by pressing "W" and "S" to push back or retrieve a bit. -CAN YOU CHANGE THE DIRECTION WHILE LAUNCHED?- You'll be able to use the MOUSE or A/D to change the direction while on air, but NOT TOO MUCH, so aim carefully. SHELL EXPLOSION The Shell has a health that when it reaches 0, it'll make the shell explode and leave the crab vulnerable! ... Luckily, the Hermit Crabs have evolved to create a last-moment escape! When the shell's health reaches 0, it'll explode, throwing pieces around that'll stunt the enemies for a few seconds and give the crab a speed boost to escape! ( Don't think you'll Baryonyx this, because without the shell, the crab takes MORE damage than usual, so don't risk this! ). But how will the crab escape at sucking slow speed, you ask? Well, in these years of evolution, the Hermit Crabs got blessed by mother nature with a pair of back legs that help it swim faster to escape! It allows the crab to swim normally and pretty fast! ( At least faster than a Mega ). Sadly, it's of no use when the crab has the shell on. QUESTIONS -HOW TO RECOVER THE SHELL AFTER IT EXPLODED?- Finding a new shell isn't easy, so your crab will need a couple of seconds to find one. The player will need to get out of the creature, the crab then will INSTANTLY dig into the ground for a new shell, then come out with a new one! But without any of the buffs, that'll have to be implemented again. -DOES THE SPEED BOOST APPLY IF I RUN OUT OF RESOURCES?- Yes, but there's a delay to it, so you'll be able to time a speed boost, but at the cost of not getting another for some considerable amount of time. HIDING MODE The Giant Hermit Crab has the ability to hide itself inside of it's shell, like the Doedicurus, and when it's hidden, it's defense increase by a good amount! Sadly it can't attack when hidden, so the Crab waits for the attacker to give up, or it use different shells that damages, inflicts knockback or torpor onto the attacker when they hit, making them run away after some time. UNIQUE FEATURES BARYONYX STUN IMMUNITY While at the hiding mode, the crab also becomes immune to the BARYONYX STUN, but as you know, the crab can't attack back when hiding, so the survivor could have a different shell that would damage the enemy in some way equipped or wait for other tames to dealt with it. •CANNOT BE GRABBED/UNMOUNTED BY CREATURES Due to the player being protected by the giant shell, no creatures can pick the player, such as Kapros and Flyers, or even be unmounted by creatures such as Microraptor. •CANNOT USE WEAPONS WHEN MOUNTED The Hermit crab has a really strong and protective shell, so the player taught the crab to do a little hole in it so the player can see inside of it... But at the cost of not being able to shoot and use any weapons while inside. • THE CRAB WILL CLEAN IT'S EYES. Yes. WHY SHOULD THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB BE ADDED IN THE CENTER? The Giant Hermit Crab not only adds more life to the Ocean, something that is very needed in Ark, but also to the beaches! They'll add new ways to explore and survive on this map, that is mostly Ocean, with it's new Shell Switching mechanic, It'll change the game for PVP and PVE players! You'll be able to explore caves and mountains with the Crystal Shell to inflict knockback into enemies or even protect a tame on land or underwater; Go on a rampage with the Obsidian Shell and Claws; Tame underwater creatures with the amazing Bio Toxin Shell; Collect Resouces with the Metal Shell and Claw and travel through The Center with the Cannonball jump! So this is it, the Giant Hermit Crab! This creature may look complex to some, but I believe some time using it could really simplify things. Every shell has different designs to help enemies identify them from a distance and the switching of shell types has an equip/clean animation in between so the players can't abuse it!
  7. Mongolarachne Jurassica – The Net Casting Titan Arachnophobes beware, for the Mongolarachne is here! Coming from the Middle Jurassic time period, the Mongolarachne has gone through many classifications since its first discovery in 2013 as only two fossils of the animal have been discovered. The general consensus though is that the “Mongo” could be a stem-orbicularian meaning that the webs it would weave are closely resembling the orb webs certain modern spiders can weave. They have been noted on having a cribellum which would have allowed them to weave silk that is, although fine, could be weak when slack but when prey is caught it could harden and stick to any prey caught in the webs as modern spiders with a cribellum operate. One of the more fascinating theories about the Mongo is that it could potentially also be a Deinopidae or a “net casting spider” also meaning that it is the latest Deinopidae ever discovered! Net casting spiders will weave a net out of their silk and after securing the net to their front legs, will launch themselves at prey before chowing down. Dossier: Wild: Today I witnessed a truly horrifying sight. The Mongolarachne. As I was out surveying, I nearly became this massive beast’s next meal as I unknowingly wandered into one of its web traps it had lain under the tree it was currently descending from. I could not even scream before its web net was around me but before the silk hardened, I was able to grab my gun. My bullets had next to no effect but by pure luck my flashlight scared it away, leaving it dazed enough for me to escape. Interestingly it showed similar signs to that of a seizure for a few seconds before climbing back up its tree. Domesticated: I have yet to see anyone successfully tame a Mongolarachne, but I do believe that taming is possible as it shows heightened levels of intelligence. My theory stems from its willingness to recruit other creatures of this ark as they can both mutually benefit from the relationship, mostly to make getting a meal easier. I suspect that with a combination of certain bright lights as well as the direct puncture of the underbelly with any number of narcotic weaponries, the rapid assault on its nervous system should send it in a shock in which it could then be nursed back to health. Other ways of overloading the nervous system may be possible but I’m not going to risk my hide to test what does and doesn’t set it off. When tamed I suspect the Mongolarachne could be extremely useful for the taming of many of the creatures around the ark as well as a safe alternative to help bring down some of the more dangerous ones. Taming: One of the main ways to “stun” a Mongo is to use bright lights head on, as many Deinopidae (net casting spiders) are very susceptible to light and the Mongo will rear back exposing its underbelly where tranqs can be shot at into it to start knocking it out. In a lore sense most spiders have a large amount of their nervous system along their underbellies, so by flashing it, it overloads the nervous system allowing it to then be affected by narcotics. This will take several stuns to pull off as well as lots of tranqs as they will have a high torpor drain when not stunned, akin to a Giga’s torpor drain and it will have a very large torpor pool. The Mongo will gain a buff where it cannot be stunned until a timer runs out so it will not be stun locked, real world Deinopidae are able to regrow burnt optical organs after a period of time. Taming Foods: · Favorite: Exceptional Kibble · Raw Mutton · Spoiled Meat · Raw Meat Saddle: Driver is sat on top of the Mongo’s head, with two passengers along the side of the head/main body to give them sightlines on things that are caught in the net. Location: Can be found in redwoods both on trees and on the ground Countermeasures: · Weak to bright sudden lights: Bright lights stun Mongos for an increased time, with them exposing their underbellies so that extra damage and torpidity can be done. Damage to the underbelly can only be done by projectiles, players with melee weapons, small to medium sized tames, bleed can be applied to underbelly. (Lights include Flashlight, Electric Prod, Z fruit, Charge Lantern) · Placed Charge lanterns and Light Pets can provide a nice deterrent from prowling Mongos · Other possible stuns: Both Pachyrhinosaurus scents at once, plant x + plant y at once, Many narcotic traps at once · Immobile while pounced: While pounced on prey the Mongo cannot move and will not be able to until the net is broken, the Mongo releases the net, or the prey is eaten · Stamina drain while pounced: In order to keep something captured both immobile and defended a constant stream of fresh webbing is required to keep the net in top shape. The Mongo constantly produces a stream of fresh webbing and gets tired over time doing so if the prey is awake. Knocked out creatures will not constantly drain stamina as they are no longer fighting against the webbing. · Web Net cooldown: A Mongo both tame and wild will have a cooldown before it can weave another web net onto its front legs so as to not allow consecutive pounce attempts. · Slow speed: The Mongo is slow moving in both walking and sprinting with its main form of movement being large jumps allowing for quick getaways as long as you watch where the Mongo is launching itself · Very slow swim speed, can be attacked from below for extra damage in water · Affected by Large Bear Traps (not plant y, plant y only helps stun not root) Perks: · High health pool · Large stamina pool · High weight capacity · Far jumps · Can climb · Takes reduced damage from all sources when not stunned and not hit in the underbelly (high defense) · No fall damage · Has tough plated chitin to reduce fire/megatherium bug bonus damage to normal · Immune to bleed when not attacking underbelly · Immune to Shadowmane poison, Cnidaria and Electrophorus shock · Immune to Freeze, both Mana AND Snow Owl (its fuzzy) Symbiotic Relationships: · Beelzebufo: Species of Tarantulas have been seen using frogs to guard their eggs from bugs that want a quick snack and in return protect the frog from its predators with its size. The Beelzebufo could sit on top of the back like the babies can and could obtain cementing paste at an increased rate. It could be a way for the Beel to get free food while protecting the main course the Mongo is trying to eat without any annoying Meganura getting at it first · Araneo: Could help reduce the amount of time the spider silk produces in the Mongo's inventory for each Araneo on the back and could reduce the time the Mongo takes to weave bigger webs, but only SLIGHTLY less · Bloodstalkers: Could help reduce the stamina drain per Bloodstalker on prey a Mongo is holding down as they could help lighten the load, and help fight against the creature trying to escape Buffs would be shown with a percentage increase/decrease for the respective change Appearance: Male Mongos will be slimmer than female Mongos but the same size. The Mongo will be based mostly off a Tarantula with it being a bigger, thicker build than the other spiders of Ark. It will have a fuzzy coat like a Tarantula. It will have patterning and spikes like many Orb Weavers have. Its eyes will resemble that of a jumping spider but still have the Chelicerae(jaws) of a Tarantula. Its front two(2) legs will be elongated like the fossil and Deinopidae arachnids have but will be slightly slimmer than its other six(6) legs but still retain the fuzzy look. While weaving a web net before a pounce you can see a noticeable change in the Mongos movement where the start of the charge will be a slow movement of the front legs and as the size of the web net increases the faster the legs will move to help players visualize what stage the net is in. While in the web trap laying mode the spines at the back of the abdomen around the Cribellum will flash the color that they are to indicate to players that the Mongo is about to lay traps in the area. Note: The bioluminescence of the very ROUGH concept art (sorry I'm not an artist) was from the very first creature vote participated in which was for Aberration, I guess it would be up to community vote on whether or not to allow it to keep its shine. Hunting: A wild Mongo will lay down traps surrounding the area as it wanders, waiting for something to trip the web where it will then aggro onto the trapped entity and weave a web to then pounce on it. Wild wandering Mongos will lay up to three(3) web traps on the ground. If flying or gliding in the vicinity of one it will attempt to launch itself into the air, where quick reactions to dodge the incoming giant will determine whether you are caught or not. It will also attempt the pounce on gliding tames but their speed should take you out of range before they are able to pounce on you but be careful not to land near it. It will always try to trap its prey first as being an intelligent being it knows its chances of a meal are higher when the odds are in its favor but if anything happens to escape it will chase and bite at entities until it is ready to weave another net. They can also be found on redwood trees and cliffs with them having one(1) web trap directly under the surface they are on. The Pounce: When a wild Mongo senses a web trap has caught something or something in the air catches its eye it will weave a web net around its front elongated legs where it will create the right size net and then launch itself in the direction of the entity. An entity caught by the pounce will slowly be wrapped up by the Mongo where it will then start biting into whatever it caught dealing high damage as well as torpidity. Captured entities can still perform attacks for a time before the net hardens as most webs produced from a spider with a cribellum have the ability to harden and dry out after touching prey for a time. In this brief time a player can stun the Mongo to instantly break out of any net/web trap they or any creature are stuck in, freeing them, and giving them time to escape while the Mongo pursues until outran. A mounted creature that is wrapped in a net before it hardens can be dismounted but if the creature is not dismounted before the net hardens the rider loses the ability to do any actions or be interacted with by any outside force. A mounted creature will be attacked first without the rider being attacked but if the mount is killed the rider will be freed to flee. A mounted creature that is in a net cannot do actions for a time that starts when the Mongo has fully webbed the tame, when the timer runs out the rider can then attack to try to break the web and rapidly decrease the Mongo’s stamina. When a Mongo’s stamina is depleted, any entity caught in the web net is freed. Mounted creatures will not be targeted by creatures that would aggro to it while caught in a Mongo web so as to not have a successful escape met by a group of predators to immediately chow down on you and your tame. Players and creatures that escape the Mongo’s web are given the “Terrifying Presence” buff to signify the nullification of aggro. A Mongo will raise its head slightly if it is pounced which can protect the rider from attacks from the front. The Mongo can utilize its webs differently depending on the drag weight of the creature with a drag weight of 600 being the largest a Mongo can successfully pounce and wrap up. Terrifying Presence (“Something horrible is near”): The buff given to any entity that is pounced on by a Mongo, a timer is started when an entity escapes the pounce webbing. Prevents creatures below a drag weight of 600 and NOT on the aggro list of the Mongo from being aggro’d to the entity. Web Trap: Functioning similar to a small/large bear trap or Y plant trap, any creature that walks over the web trap will be stuck for a time with the ability to break out of the web with enough attack actions. If pounced while stuck in a web trap the Mongo will be able to wrap up a creature faster than it would if it was pounced on without a web trap. For creatures the Mongo cannot tie down in its grasp, creatures that walk on web traps have reduced movement speed for a short time period. As it is a spider web it will not have a decomposition timer like a Y plant trap does, but a trap spotted before something is caught in it can be broken easily. Wild Mongos will approach the area of a broken web trap and will eventually re-lay more traps in the area as it wanders. Food Chain: The Mongo is an apex of sorts, preferring forests and canyon areas that prefer to lie in wait for prey to wander into web traps rather than outright pouncing on everything in sight, with the exception of flying and gliding entities. They will attack and pounce on everything caught in web traps even Rexes. Bigger predators such as Rexes and Gigas can aggro onto the Mongo. Aggro’d creatures: · Basilisk · Karkinos · Spinos · Rock Drakes · Reapers, R-Reapers, Reaper Queens, R-Reaper Queens · Nameless · Rex · Gigas · Charcars · Rhyns · Wyverns (Not Crystal Wyverns) · All hostile water creatures · Deathworms · All bosses · Magmasaurs · Rock Golems, X-Rock Golems · Amargasaurus · Megatherium · Attack and Defense Drones · All Corrupted · Fasolasuchus? · Enraged Ferox · Giant Bees (if hive is broken) · Griffin · Insect Swarm · Lamprey · Leech · Seeker if charge pet is active · Summoner · Therizino · Voidwyrm Drops when killed: · Spider Silk · Organic Polymer · Chitin · Pelt · Raw Meat Maneuverability: The Mongo would be about the same speed as a Theri and much in the same aspect as a Theri, it will be able to outlast other large tames in a race but can still be run down if caution is not taken. The Mongo is able to climb as well as jump very high like a Karkinos or Reaper giving it very good maneuverability and escape potential. PvE Usage: A tamed Mongo can be manually made to start weaving a net with a crosshair indicating the direction the spider will pounce; no aim assist will be added like with raptors as the Mongo’s size will give it a large capturing radius. With the two seats on the side of the Mongo’s saddle, two passengers will be able to use ranged weaponry on whatever the Mongo has trapped in the net allowing for easy taming with the ability of the hardened net to prevent wild dino damage to be done to the captured creature as well as having smaller prey animals not be hunted by predators while caught in a Mongo’s net, preventing any reduction in taming effectiveness. As this is a tame and not a building, this living trap can help tame creatures in areas where other tribes’ structures are located. Structures cannot be placed near a Mongos legs if something is caught. With the addition of wild babies following parents now, non-adult dinos are immune to the effect of the pounce webbing and will be ignored when in an area of the pounce, giving focus to the parental creature. Interactions with Reapers and Reaper Queens: Reapers can be fully tied down by Mongos but when damaged the Reaper’s acid blood can damage the web even when hardened, allowing for an easier but not free kill. A “Melting” bar will appear and fill as the trapped Reaper takes damage, when full the Reaper escapes. Reaper Queens cannot be fully tied down and are the one of the biggest creatures a Mongo can web down, they are able to bite, shoot from the tail and impregnate when health is low enough. Reaper Queens cannot move or tail spin while in webs. Reaper Queens can be damaged without risk of breaking the webs, but in return Reaper Queens acid blood will damage the Mongo in order to not give a free impregnation. “Dissolving” debuff will be shown when Reaper Queen is caught and damaged, Mongo will take damage over time not affected by the high armor. Radiation: The Mongo WILL be hurt by radiation if brought to Aberration or any other area with a similar effect. PvP Usage: In tribe fights, a Mongo with enough silk in its inventory can produce a minefield of web traps that will stop anything that passes over it in its tracks, leaving things an easy target for attack. With its ability to fully capture a tame, it can force enemies to have to focus on freeing their comrade giving more opportunities to attack, with the Mongo able to retreat to the backlines to heal with its large jump. If not on the frontlines trapping enemy tames, the Mongo could use its bulky defense to defend the flanks and rear of your tribe by setting traps around your friends and with its damage reduction it is able to stall out most high damage dealing dinos giving your friends time to react to the surprise threat. The Mongo will also have the ability to pry open dino and behemoth gates, leaving them “webbed open” for a brief time to make entering a base’s defense easier. The webbing on the door is set on a timer and cannot be interacted with by either parties. Webbed open gates when freed will have to be manually closed by the owner. Breeding: Mongos are able to breed naturally and will produce an egg akin to the Araneo and Mantis eggs. Unlike most spiders the females will NOT eat the male after breeding. After the egg is hatched the baby Mongo will have the option to sit on a mother spider to rest on the abdomen with a maximum of three baby Mongos being able to be sat like a Maewing and fed until Juvenile where they are separated. Baby Mongos while on a mother’s back will have increased imprint done to it. (Placeholder risk for breeding: Males will have to shed their exoskeleton to regrow their “bits” leaving them knocked out with their damage reduction buff removed and having extra damage and debuffs able to be applied anywhere.) Incubation and Maturation: An infant Mongo’s life cycle will take around over three(3) days on 1x including incubation and maturation Imprint: On 1x, imprints will count for 20% of the bar, with a baby on a mother’s back gaining 40% for an imprint. Baby Mongos on a mother’s back will only ask to be fed raw and cooked prime, raw and cooked mutton, cooked prime meat jerky, Superior kibble, narcotic, or biotoxin. If a baby Mongo is removed from the back of the mother, the extra buff will not be applied upon the feeding of the baby as to not allow rerolls for easier to obtain items. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THOSE INTERESTED Concept: While the real-world Mongo is only a few inches in length, Ark is not afraid to upscale creatures, so I say why not go all out and have the Ark Mongo be a bit bigger than a Rex. Its appearance would take from a mix of real-world spiders including Tarantulas, Orb Weavers and others, while also retaining the elongated front legs from their fossils. Their main form of attack would be to weave a web net around their two front legs before doing a pounce not unlike that of the Raptor where it would then wrap the prey up before starting to attack. The Mongo would be a very high health, high damage creature with a large stamina pool but slow movement speed. To add a bit more utility and to help its lack of speed, the Mongo would be able to set web traps on the ground, acting like a bear trap or a Plant Y trap. In the wild it could leave a few in the area it is spawned in, and if a creature steps in the web, it is stuck but has the ability to attack out of the web such as players are able to break out of a Bloodstalker string before the web hardens. While tamed the Mongo could also passively generate spider webbing in its inventory which could be used as a replacement for fiber, but at certain thresholds it could craft and place the web traps with a player also being able to take it out of the Mongo’s inventory and place it themselves. For the web net, it could weave different sizes depending on how long the action key for the weaving is held going from small, medium, large, and extra-large, with the small web net being able to capture players and player sized tames. Like the Rhyniognatha, the size of the web woven could affect creatures of different drag weights with the extra-large webs being able to hold down Spinos and Reapers and other similar drag weight creatures. While pounced on a creature the Mongo is immobile and will not attack the webbed creature unless manually done by the rider or set on aggressive. The saddle of the Mongo will hold three players with the driver set on the top of the head and the other two along the sides of the torso so that they are able to attack webbed entities from range. It can also climb walls. The idea: As both a PvP and PvE player and mostly PvE, one of the staple aspects of progressing through the game is the taming of new dinos. In PvP we are able to pick up creatures and drop them into traps in order to make the taming process easier. In PvE however the ability to move a creature into a trap in such a way is disabled, so my main focus was to create a perfect taming companion tame to help offset the inability of PvE players to easily trap dinos to tame, while also adding enough utility as to not have it be outclassed by other tames in PvP and to bring something unique to Ark. For PvP, there are so many really good offensive tames where there are little to no counters to them, with the skill set that comes with the Mongo, it is a high skill counter to many of Ark’s more annoying metas while not being an outright damage steamroller as with its many strengths it also has many weaknesses that can be exploited. Button input (Console, can be swapped to appropriate key input for PC): · Right Trigger: Bite (High damage) · Hold Right Trigger: Narcotic Bite (Torpor attack, decent damage, good for a last-minute torp, will not be a free knockout on creatures as the torp/damage ratio will result in the creature dying before knocking out if only attacked with the Narcotic Bite) · Left Trigger: Quick pounce where camera is facing with small sized net. Pounce cooldown is shown in the bottom left of screen · Hold Left Trigger: Crosshair appears, and Mongo starts to increase the size of the web net over time with the size of the net displayed in the bottom left of screen with S, M, L, XL indicating the changes, release to pounce. · Hold Left Trigger after creature is Pounced: Cut webbing to set the creature free. Pounce cooldown is shown in bottom left of screen · A Button: Jump · Hold A Button: Charged Jump with crosshair · Click in Left Stick: Sprint, while sprinting can climb surfaces · Tap Left Bumper (Mine Laying Mode Toggle): Shows indication of how many web traps are in Mongo’s inventory, back spikes will start to pulse when active, tap again to toggle off and back spikes will no longer pulse · Right Trigger after Left Bumper (Mine Laying Mode is ACTIVE): will place a web trap directly behind the Mongo, if the Mongo is on a surface the web trap will fall as if a net projectile was shot downward but will become a web trap when it lands on a surface or if it collides with an entity, falling web trap will spawn relative to the rear end of the Mongo · Click Right Stick: Roar · Click and hold Right Stick: Pry open enemy gates Thank you for reviewing my creature submission! Sorry for the info dump but me and my friends brainstormed hard to think of mechanics that would make it unique while also finding ways to help balance the creature into a fun, fair, and useful tame, to be viable in both PvP and PvE as well as to help it stand out from the others currently in Ark. Any and all feedback is appreciated, and I will try to respond to comments whenever possible. 9. 4-02-2025 21:19:58:58.pdf Species: Pyroraptor olympius Time: Campanian - Maastrichtian Diet: Carnivore Temperate: Aggressive Pyroraptor is on the smaller side of theropod dinosaurs but is not to be underestimated as this dino has a nasty habit of setting itself on fire. This fire is caused by a gel excreted from its skin that then douses its feathers and using its sickle claw as a stricter it lights it self on fire. This strategy can ward off any larger predators. Wild baby Pyroraptors don’t quite know how to control when they light on fire and when they are startled they leave streaks of fire in their path. Wild Pyroraptors typically live in thick jungles and grasslands. Pyroraptors are very territorial animals igniting its feathers when any creature threatens its safety. If weakened enough Pyroraptors can release explosive flames surrounding its entire body as a last resort causing critical damage to any who are near. This often ignites the surrounding forest on fire witch can spread to houses. Domesticated When domesticated Pyroraptor is a fast and powerful mount that is highly sought after by war tribes. There gel can easily burn through stone and boil someone in flak. A Pyroraptors gel can also be flung from its tail as a mid ranged projectile. This gel is highly hydrophobic and tends not to go out when exposed to water. The gel is also often used used for fuel and this stuff burns hot greatly increases the rate of which metal is smelted but it doesn’t last as long as other alternatives. People had a hard time making a saddle because it had to be both heat resistant and durable enough as to not catch the rider on fire. Survivors have solved this problem by installing a water cooling system into a metal frame wrapped in leather. If you are looking to tame your own pyroraptor you’ll have to give it fuel. Apparently all a Pyroraptor is looking for is a fellow arsonist and by giving it more fuel like oil, wood, and sparkpower after this you and your Pyroraptor can start fires at your heart’s content. Pyroraptor is a brave and loyal mount and brave mount. Gel: The gel can be harvested when a empty water jar is put in its inventory then it will slowly fill up. The gel would half the time needed to smelt recourse and cook food but only last half as long as gasoline. When flung from the tail it will act like an oil jar. When on fire it will leave a small trail of gel. Spawns: Pyroraptor spawns in jungles and grasslands in groups of 1-4. Baby Pyroraptor are found on fire. Fire: When on fire it will do recoil and light the attacker on fire. If damaged enough all the gel would be used dealing huge damage to a large area lighting the attacker on fire until it can find water. The pyroraptor can not light itself on fire again for 5 minutes. When on fire Pyroraptor can shake some feathers off leaving a temporary light source. Pyroraptor can create small puffs of smoke which can be used to alert fellow tribe mates of incoming danger. Taming: Walk up to Pyroraptor and give it a type of fuel the it will ignite for a little bit before you can give it more fuel and do this until it is tamed. Oil acts as a kibble. Also takes spark power, wood, gasoline, and thatch. Saddle: Saddle is unlocked around level 40-50. Crafted in a smithy. Requires metal, hide, fiber, and an empty water jar. 10. The Columbian Mammoth (Mammuthus columbi) is a large herbivore, a descendant of the ancestors of modern elephants, that dominates the vast landscapes of Valguero. Unlike its woolly relatives that inhabit frozen regions, the Columbian Mammoth is adapted to temperate and semi-arid climates, making it a resilient survivor in the White Cliffs and the Boreal Forest. Your Biology Thick, Hairless Skin: Unlike the Woolly Mammoth, the Columbian Mammoth does not have dense fur but instead possesses thick, wrinkled skin with a subcutaneous fat layer that helps regulate its temperature. Its coloration varies between dark brown and yellowish tones, allowing it to blend into Valguero’s rocky terrain and dry forests. Domestication Its thick skin forces players to choose an alternative method to tame this giant mammal. Taming it revolves around gaining its trust after offering a strong root of its Inventory After feeding the first horseradish a trust test begins when a patience/stress bar appears above the animal. The nearest creatures will rush at the Columbian mammoth as it roams the terrain. The survivor must defend the Columbian mammoth so that the bar above it does not fill up.The Colombian mammoth will not lose effectiveness in its taming when attacked. Each time the bar reaches 25% the Colombian mammoth will let out a scream that will temporarily drive away any nearby creatures. After this scream, the Colombian mammoth will begin a series of stomps and will raise a smoke screen that will reach those who are close to the smoke screen and those very close to the Colombian mammoth would receive 15% damage for each stomp. If the stress bar reaches 100% the Colombian mammoth will go into rage mode. When enraged, the Colombian mammoth will give a different roar which will reduce its damage taken by 30% your damage and stamina will increase by 14%. He will only exit rage mode after his stress bar is zero. For each time the Columbian mammoth goes into a rage, the taming effectiveness will drop by 12%. Saddle and habillity The Colombian mammoth, because it has a large layer of fat, is able to resist temperature variations, thus giving survivors a small 10% thermal protection buff. In addition to this small buff, the Colombian mammoth has two screams, the first scream being thick and loud, frightening medium and small creatures. The other scream would be higher-pitched, being a buff scream.which applies 11% stamina reduction and a 13% damage and movement speed buff. Its large, long tusks are great for a mid-range attack capable of ignoring 20% of an enemy creature's armor. dragging their prey on the ground and finishing by throwing them upwards with remnants of stones and earth that apply armor reduction and blindness. Another offensive move by the Colombian mammoth would be its stomping sequence. can cause 15% damage to nearby creatures and reduce the movement speed of distant creatures by 12% A Colombian mammoth does not live on offensive skills alone. Just like its relatives of modern elephants, Colombian mammoths can sense small sci-fi vibrations that allow you to feel things around you, making it a great ability to locate enemies and rare resources. TThe Colombian Mammoth is also capable of throwing itself to the ground, causing a large amount of damage by throwing its entire body weight onto an enemy. In return, the Columbian mammoth has a 50% chance of fracturing its bones, causing it to lose 30% health and 25% speed. Possessing two riding saddles, the Colombian mammoth can be a great exploration and offensive partner. Its first saddle focused on resource gathering and exploration allows the Columbian mammoth to reduce the weight of resources such as stone, wood, and straw in 76% Your second saddle is combat-focused and very similar to horse armor. having iron plates covering his face, back and knees giving the Columbian mammoth 40 points of armor. •Extra curiosities The strong roots used to tame the Columbian mammoth can be found in shady areas at the edge of forests. Domesticated Columbian mammoths are weaker than wild Columbian mammoths because they lose their aggression and territorialism after domestication. When wild, Colombian mammoths cause damage to structures made of stone, straw and wood. When domesticated, Colombian mammoths can cause damage to metal structures. The Colombian mammoth, even when tamed, can go into a rage, causing allied creatures to flee after receiving a debuff from the Colombian mammoth's scream. After entering rage when tamed, it will attack everything in front of it. To exit rage mode The person should sprinkle horseradish with honey so that the smell attracts him to the food and calms him down. The Columbian Mammoth enters rage mode as soon as the stress bar above fills up after falling below 80% of maximum health.
  12. Pronounced, [Ah·Ram·Bour·Gain·Eya] Dossier Text Wild: In the realms of this ancient land, I've had the privilege of witnessing the awe-inspiring presence of Arambourgiania, which towers over creatures such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex. With wings stretched impossibly wide, it patrols the skies with an unmatched presence, casting its huge shadow upon the ground below. Its elongated neck, adorned with a slender beak, hints at peak evolution, while its incredible eyesight paint a picture of a vigilant guardian. Majestic and imposing, Arambourgiania's commanding flight allows it to survey the vast sky with ease, making it a sentinel of the heavens, and a sight to behold amidst the prehistoric tapestry of life. I'm astounded that a creature of such size would feed on just fish and smaller critters, revealing the hidden intricacies of its role in the ancient ecosystem. Domesticated: I've uncovered Arambourgiania's secrets. This towering sentinel, now a loyal companion, serves beyond its ancient role. Thanks to its elongated neck, it is capable of guarding the skies by detecting distant threats. It signals an "alarm" when foes approach, alerting the tribe. Its commanding cry forces retreat, even from ridden creatures. Arambourgiania returns when skies extend too far, a wise adaptation to safeguard its home. Its talents are diverse—a defender and artisan. At the water's edge, it becomes a patient angler, reeling in treasures like blueprints and valuable resources. Its incredible eyesight detects nearby materials and resources which I have found extremely useful. Mastery of its fishing art brings even greater prizes. With the Arambourgiania, the skies and depths are yours. Table Of Contents Summary Description Basic Attacks Special Abilities Taming Method Mating Valguero Adaptions Why You Should Vote For The Arambourgiania Summary Wild Presence Towering presence, taller than a Rex, with immense wingspan Patrols the skies, protecting its territory Elongated neck, slender beak, and incredible eyesight Territorial temperament, feeding on fish and small creatures If it detects your presence, it will let out a small call, almost as a warning before becoming aggressive. If the target doesn’t abide by that warning, the Arambourgiania will lift off, attack and let off a piercing screech that will force enemies to retreat. It will also attack the enemy during this time too. Domesticated Abilities Surveillance: Raises its neck as far as it can go to alert tribe of aerial threats, forces retreat to foes with a screech that causes all other tamed Arambourgianias to quickly launch after foes and attack Patrol Mode: Flies (or walks) along a designated route, detecting potential threats Fishing: Skilled angler, catching fish and valuable resources from water bodies; catching fish while flying restores stamina mid-flight Resource Locator: Pinpoints selected material nearby with its vision Launch: Charge wings during take-off for a huge momentum boost Combat Abilities Beak Slash: Uses its long beak for slashing and swiping attacks Thrust Flurry: Rapid flurry of bleeding thrusts with the beak, charge for a longer flurry; also used to harvest certain resources Beak Grab: Firmly takes either a small creature, an opposing player, or a tribemate, and keeps them lodged within its beak. Saddle & Utility Level 76 saddle that comes equipped with metal casing on beak for increased damage and resource harvesting Three-seater saddle for additional passengers Fishing bait can be attached to beak for more valuable loot Mating Very unique method with only one tamed Arambourgiania required Male method Enable mating Releases a mating call to search for a wild female Arambourgiania Follow the Arambourgiania to its mate Claim the offspring Female method Enable mating Releases a mating call that attracts wild male Arambourgianias Wait for a male to arrive Claim the offspring Taming Method Equip a ghillie disguise to blend in with the environment Approach the Arambourgiania quietly and join it in fishing to build trust As trust grows, the Arambourgiania will fly and lead you to its nest At the nest, help defend its newborn offspring from dangerous creatures; the adult Arambourgiania will emit a warning screech before a wave of intruders (These waves are sort of like Plants vs. Zombies) Once you successfully defend the offspring and prove your loyalty to the Arambourgiania, it will give you the right to take one of its newborn offspring as your companion Description The Arambourgiania stands as a giant among pterosaurs and many other creatures, with even just its neck spanning around 10 feet, a colossal size! The creature itself, standing at an impressive 16 feet, even surpasses the Rex in size! What’s interesting however, is that a creature at this size seems to mainly feed and just fish and smaller creatures. The Arambourgiania's favorable trait is its eyesight. Elevated by its elongated neck, its remarkable vision becomes your tool for surveillance. This allows you to thoroughly scout your surroundings, identifying distant resources and creatures with ease. The Arambourgiania has been given this trait due to its environmental niche. It's the most territorial creature in the game. Using its talents, it can signal a screech, acting as an alarm as well as an intimidation tactic, forcing intruders to turn back. Upon reaching level 76, you will be able to craft a 3 seater saddle. One seat is positioned between its abdomen and neck, reserved for the rider. Two additional seats are positioned a bit further back, near the wings. The saddle comes equipped with metal casing on the Arambourgiania’s beak, enhancing its attacks, resource harvesting, and more. This also allows the Arambourgiania to have bait attached to its beak for fishing. (Which will be discussed in detail later) The Arambourgiania has an abundance of distinctive abilities you can use to your advantage, both for PvP and PvE players to enjoy. This creature introduces a new layer of stealth, strategy, defense, and many other interesting mechanics to the overall ARK experience. Basic Attacks Beak Slash - (Left Click) Unlike any other aerial creature in the game, the Arambourgiania uses its long, slender beak to its advantage and uses it as a sword, slashing and swiping. This swing can hit multiple targets at once. Thrust Flurry- (Right Click) The Arambourgiania unleashes a flurry where it repeatedly thrusts its sharp beak at whatever it is trying to attack. Inflicts a short bleed that can stack depending on how many attacks hit the target. This attack is also how you can begin to gather sap from redwood trees. You can also harvest from certain resources with this attack, such as stone and wood for example. Beak Grab - (Press C) The Arambourgiania will pick up a player or a small creature in its beak. Its beak deals slow and continuous damage when used on an enemy. You can break out of this grasp similar to a Bloodstalker. You can also use this on tribe members, so technically the Arambourgiania can be 4-seater. Once something is in its grasp, you can perform multiple actions. Beak Slam - (Left Click When Something Is In The Beak) Slams players down to the ground dealing impact damage. Beak Fling - (Right Click When Something Is In The Beak) Throws player into the air. This can be useful if you want the player to die from fall damage, pursue an attack, or if you want them to be seen by other Arambourgianias. Drop - (C When Something Is In The Beak) Releases your grip, sending the captive free. Special Abilities Surveillance Mode - (Activated In Radial Wheel) Use the radial wheel to activate surveillance mode for your Arambourgiania. You can have it perched in one place or following you to have a second pair of eyes watching in the sky to make sure you won’t get ambushed by any aerial creatures or foes. It will raise its neck as high as it can go in order to detect and alert the tribe of any aerial foes, especially ones from other tribes inbound from incredible distances. If these foes get too close, the Arambourgiania will prepare a launch with its wings to give it a huge momentum boost before the enemy can get away. While in proximity of the enemy, the Arambourgiania will unleash an ear-piercing territorial screech that forces all aerial enemies, even the largest of foes such as wyverns, to retreat. But don’t worry about your Arambourgiania being lured away by the enemies, it has developed a very helpful territorial adaptation in which the Arambourgiania will return back to its original position if it goes too far. Keep in mind this ability is not usable while being ridden. Patrol Mode - (Surveillance Mode Option) Can be activated while in surveillance mode. Instead of standing still and surveilling one area or following you, the Arambourgiania will fly around a designated path, searching for potential threats. To set up the patrol route, you click “Draw Patrol Route” on the radial wheel. Fly in the route that you want your Arambourgiania to patrol. To end the patrol route, fly back to the point you started it at. If you want it to fly in a circle around your base, fly in a circle and have it connect to where you started it. Keep in mind that there is a limit of how far it can go while patrolling. (This is kind of like the monkey ace from Bloons Tower Defense) Launch - (Hold Space During Take-Off) The Arambourgiania naturally uses this while on surveillance mode, but while being ridden the Arambourgiania unleashes an incredibly powerful gust of wind that sends it hurling forward, giving it a huge momentum boost in the air, all thanks to its enormous wings (Longer you charge the further and faster you go). Fishing - (Press V) The Arambourgiania primarily eats fish, so it's taken the time to master the art of fishing. While riding it, take it near a body of water and you will be able to begin fishing. It will stick its neck under water. If you don’t yet have a saddle for the creature, simply take it near a body of water and enable “Begin Fishing”. The chances of receiving more fish/treasure will increase by adding points into the new “Fishing” stat in its inventory. You can also receive more loot by adding bait onto the saddle, similar to a fishing rod. If you are above a body of water mid-flight, the Arambourgiania is able to swoop and dip its neck under water to catch fish. If it catches fish this way, it will replenish some stamina while flying. So instead of having to land for a stamina break, you can just fly over water and catch fish. Resource Locator - (Hold R) Give the command by holding R to choose what material you want from the radial wheel and select what you want. It will use its incredible eyesight to pinpoint whatever materials you need. For example, if you wish for it to find metal nodes, just give it the command and wait for it to see if there are any nearby. If there is, it will make a little call and wait for you to either follow it or ride it. It will then begin to fly to the resource in question. Skyward Swoosh - (Double-Tap Space In The Air) While flying, the Arambourgiania can propel itself upward. This can be useful to gain elevation, or to retreat from enemies. Sap Sip - (Right Click When On Or Next To Tree) While riding the Arambourgiania, simply go up to any tree that allows for sap to be collected from a sap collector and puncture the tree with the Arambourgiania’s large beak. After some time, the Arambourgiania will begin to harvest sap from the tree. You can also do this by wrapping yourself around the tree which can be done by pressing space when flying next to it. Taming Method The Taming Method for the Arambourgiania is very fun and exciting! The first step should be rather calm, if you know what you’re doing, of course… First, find an Arambourgiania near a body of water, fishing peacefully. Secondly, you want to make sure you’re suited up in a Ghillie suit and join the Arambourgiania in fishing. Make sure not to sit too close, or too far. While fishing, the Arambourgiania will slowly begin to become aware of your presence, but won’t care too much since it’s concluded that you’re not a threat if you haven’t attacked it during that whole time. After a while, the Arambourgiania will trust you so much to an extent where it will guide you to its nest. Once you arrive at the nest, you will have to help defend its newly-born offspring by fighting off waves of enemies that are trying to attack the Arambourgiania’s offspring. During these waves, the Arambourgiania will alert the player of incoming enemies from very far distances by using its screech. Defeat all the enemies while keeping the offspring protected and the Arambourgiania will allow you to take one of its offspring. Mating The mating process for this creature is quite unique as well. You only actually need one tamed Arambourgiania in order to do this. Male Method When you enable mating on a male Arambourgiania, it will let out a mating call. You will then hear another mating call from a wild female Arambourgiania in the distance. Follow the Arambourgiania to its mate and let them breed. Though uncommon, there is a chance it could mate with a female Arambourgiania that is owned by another tribe if mating is enabled on both. Now you might be wondering, “Another tribe? But who would take the offspring?’ Well the answer is that they will produce TWO babies, one that’s reserved for you, and one for the other tribe. (Its mating call will find one close to its original level) Female Method When mating is enabled on a female Arambourgiania, it will let out a mating call that draws wild males towards it. It will patiently await a male's approach to mate with. While slightly slower than the male method, this process is automatic while the male method is manual, making both methods useful in their own ways. Like the male, this call can attract mates from other tribes if mating is enabled on both. (Its mating call will attract ones that are close to its original level) Valguero Adaptions White Cliffs: The Arambourgiania naturally nests in the White Cliffs, where other large flyers like Tapejaras and Pteranodons also inhabit. The nearby rivers and waterfalls make this place a great fishing spot for them. Sap Tree Abundance: Valguero has an abundance of sap trees. This is perfect for the Arambourgiania’s sap sipping ability. Deinosuchus Rivalry: Similar to the real world, the Arambourgiania and the Deinosuchus are both extremely territorial creatures. Hence, they are naturally rivals. Water Masses: Valguero has a large amount of water masses, perfect for the Arambourgiania. This leaves many areas for the Arambourgiania to go fishing. Why You Should Vote For The Arambourgiania Why should it be in Ark? Fun & Unique Abilities: The amount of diverse abilities this creature has not only makes the creature useful, but extremely fun to use as well, encouraging players to explore its full potential. Surveillance Gimmick: With its far eyesight, the Arambourgiania changes how players approach exploration. Being able to identify resources, and potential threats from afar is a game-changer. Patrol Routes: Its ability to follow designated patrol routes introduces a new level of strategic planning and defense to Ark. This allows players to strategize a more tactical method to base protection, or to just recreate Bloons TD :) Mobility: Regardless of its big size, the Arambourgiania is an extremely mobile creature, making it a viable flier for traveling. Fishing: The Arambourgiania's fishing talent provides you with an alternate resource gathering method, allowing you to set up an automatic fishing farm. Resource Gathering: Its resource-locating abilities and beak-based collection methods change the game for resource gathering, which can make grinding a less frustrating process PvE & PvP Perks: Arambourgiania's unique abilities offer advantages for both modes. Its surveillance, warning, and combat abilities lend themselves to both cooperative and competitive gameplay, ensuring its usefulness across various gameplay styles. Perfect For Valguero: This map's geographical features and inhabitants make the Arambourgiania perfect for Valguero. New Flier: There have been winners for land and water creatures in previous votes, but the sky is still empty. No flying creature has won the vote so far. It might seem like there are already a lot of flyers, but there are only about 20 rideable fliers available in the game, with only a few being viable to even use. Your vote could change the game and bring a new flier to ARK: Survival Ascended!
  13. Plateosaurus: Introducing Plateosaurus The Ying To Deinonychus’ Yang, Adept Chemist, And The New Boss Fighting Dino With A Fiery Personality I know that not everyone will read this whole submission, so I have listed the summary below, but if you read the summary and are interested feel free to read the rest Disclaimer- I created this dossier before Garuga’s Edmontonia was released, I did not steal ideas or concepts from him, it just happened that we both had similar ideas, if you still don't like it, just ignore the fire burn and explosions. I highly regard and respect Garuga’s work. Also, I apologize for the artwork, art definitely isn't my strong suit. Also I'm sorry for the lack of concepts, I wasn't really prepared for this Submission, so I will definingly be more prepared next vote! Summary The Plateosaurus is a large dinosaur with pretty simple but unique abilities. With a relatively simple taming method the plateosaurus will pave the way from mid game all the way until end game. Working in tandem with the yuty’s roar and deinon’s bleed with its rallying below, sound breaking tail whip, and explosive burning hits. Shedding bosses, turning enemies into allies, and leading raids, the Plateosaurus would be an amazing creature to see on the Ark Dossier- Common Name: Plateosaurus Species: Plateosaurus Trossingensis Time: Late Triassic Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Irritable Wild In my day it was commonly accepted that plateosaurus was an early precursor to later larger sauropods such as the Brachi and Dread. In the wild you will always find a mated pair of plateos either nesting or looking for food. The female rests most of the time as the male will protect her and bring her food. If however a creature gets too close to the pair the male will become irritated and bat it away. But if the animal persists the male will become enraged and begin attacking the intruder. Because of its diet of berries and fish the saliva of the plato is highly flammable which it will take full advantage of by throwing sparks with its flint coated claws that it has developed due to its habit of digging through rocks, igniting the aggressor ablaze. Domesticated To tame one of these behemoths you must first tire out the male and slowly pepper it with darts once it is unconscious causing the female to flee, allowing you to tame the male. Taming the plateo you are gifted with a beast of great size and power. To tame the female you must find a pair and challenge the male to combat with yours, if you can best the wild male you will have tamed the female. With its long whip-like tail, sharp claws, and explosive power the plateo is a force to be reckoned with. Using the air sack under its neck the males can charge up a bellow that works very similarly to the yutys roar, buffing allies and scaring smaller aggressors. A plateo paired with a yutyrannus will have a battle cry rallying all tames and even medium sized enemies to swap teams for a short time to take down the larger threat. How to Tame To tame a plateo you must first find the pair, after enraging the male, he will begin to attack you. But because of his large size he will tire out after a while, when he is in his exhausted state you can shoot him with darts or arrows until he either continues attacking you or falls unconscious. Once the male is unconscious the female will flee and despawn. Feeding it a mixture of prime fish meat and berries will allow you to tame the plateo. Taming the female is straightforward, you first have to find a pair and then approach the female on your male plateo. This will enrage the wild male and you will enter a minigame with the male. Interlocking in combat is a dangerous thing for both parties with error either resulting in a loss or death. If you can best the male he will either limp off to later despawn or be killed in combat. Approaching the female you will do your charged bellow and the female will be claimed. Attacks and Abilities LMB, R1, RT- A bite that inflicts the saliva debuff while looking forward, dealing medium damage, holding down this button will be a spit that inflicts a large amount of the saliva debuff. (Debuff is charged like the rhyneo sap debuff, the more on the bar the more the damage from the fire, great for harvesting narcoberries) Looking either left or right will be a directional claw swipe. RMB, L1, LT- will be a push with its front arms doing 0 damage but large knockback. (claw push on rocks would get equal parts stone and flint, great for making sparkpowder) Holding this button will charge up a braci like forward stomp doing large damage. Looking back and holding the button will charge up a sound breaking tail whip that if landed would do massive damage. (The tail whip will be a little challenging to land but if it does, will stun and ignore armor and resistance, this is supposed to be used on larger heavily armored opponents ex. Golems, reapers, great for enraging gigas) C, R3, RSB- The plato will strike its claws together showering sparks over the target. If the target has the saliva debuff it will catch fire. (depending on how much the saliva debuff is stacked the fire will burn longer for a max of 10 seconds, a full bar will result in a explosion doing large damage, and fire burn. Fire burn will only do 5% damage over 10 seconds, will work on bosses, but not fire based creatures ex. fire wyvern, phoenix or pyromane) Left control, L2, LB- A cosmetic roar. (because it should be a crime that none of the voted in creatures have a cosmetic roar) Holding down this button will charge up a rallying bellow that will buff allies, scare smaller targets and turn medium sized aggressors on your side similar to how yuty’s roar works on wild carnos. (roar should work in tandem with the yuty, with yutys adding damage and resistance the plateos will add 25% movement and attack speed, any enemy less that 200 drag weight will be scared off, while enemies 200 to 500 will be turned on your side for a short time. could be used in either raids or boss fights, turning the minions on there master) Space bar, X, A- Holding down this button will allow the plateo to turn in place so it can easier turn to aim its spits, and tail whips. Will be allowed to lay down with the option wheel Saddle Level- 65 The saddle would have a unique design and would work as a mortar and pestle. (Harvests equal parts flint and stone, gets extra narcoberries from bushes, and right click harvests charcoal from trees. The saddle meant to be a middle man between the mortar and pestle and the chem bench, getting double yielded resources from crafts) Concepts Why I believe that the last few votes have given us creatures with a VERY high taming requirement and quite late game with one you even need to beat the bosses to unlock the saddle. The plato is supposed to be a relatively simple creature with no lack of powerful abilities, it is something you should feel proud to ride on charging into battle with your tribemates. I also wanted this dinosaur to be good in both PvE and PvP, being great for boss fights and raiding other players, and it's about time to add a new dinosaur into boss fights instead of just rexes and a yuty. But with the taming process being rather simple these creatures should be decently rare, especially with their usefulness for the late game. And I know that a few people were disappointed with the dread so this suto- sauropod will hopefully put a lot of people at ease and give us a fun new tame to run around on. Does It Fit Does the Plateosaurus fit into Valguaro? Some of the votes gave us creatures that didn't quite seem to be perfect for their respected maps. (such as the Gigantoraptor for rag at the beginning, or the Yi Ling for Aberration) I believe that the plato fits well into Val, with its high mountainous terrain and the vast plains in the white cliffs there are several places the plato would thrive. Everyone knows that Val gave us all a fan favorite, the Deinonychus. A fantastic mid- game mount that could even carry you into the late game with its speed and ferocity, its bleed even working on bosses. I was thinking that the plateo would be something like the Yin and Yang with the deinonychus, where the deinon is fast and agile, the plato is lumbering but powerful, the deinon works well in a pack while the plato is great with just one. The Deinon’s bleed works on bosses, the plateos burn and explosions also do. When working in tandem the bleed and fire will shred through the bosses health, which is needed since there are three on Val. And we haven't quite had a dinosaur that uses fire to this extent, and it adds a fantastical element to this more grounded creature. This behemoth fits quite well with Valguaro with its terrain, wildlife, and the end game goals. Design I went really in depth with the early sauropod with the plateos design. And added some elements from arks sauropods. Such as the armor from the brachi, diplo’s long tail, and Amara like quills on the neck and back. (I added some unique color patterns so folks can go while with the mutations) I was wanting the plato to be bigger than it was in real life to help it fit into its boss killing niche more, which is fine seeing how Ark almost always scales up there creatures. Slightly taller than a rex and about as long as the diplo will make the plateo a pretty threatening force and a looming threat in the early game. Because of its huge size the plateo definitely wouldn’t be very fast or have the best turning range. And of course I added a few artistic liberties such as the air sack under the throat and the quills along its back, The female will have duller colors and patterns while the male is more vibrant and larger. (that would later evolve to be amarga’s spikes) I am very happy with the design and think it fits perfectly into the Ark. Thank you.
  14. (NOTE: This creature is an EXTANT creature (or, in reference to ARK's lore; a different species of an extant creature, the Synoicus Chinensis), and while there are very few extant creatures on the ARKs, there ARE some, the Ovis and Coelacanth come to mind.) Species Synoicus Megachinensis Time Cenozoic Diet Omnivore Temperament Loyal Wild Synoicus Megachinensis is a seemingly unnaturally large species of quail. Due to its laying habits, large size and their behavioral ease of friendliness to humans, there is reason to believe this creature may have been domesticated in the past. Yet its timidness and sometimes ferocity shows it has had no problem adapting to the island's more wild, dangerous environment. Despite its size, it's incredibly fast, agile and can even fly, though so poorly it’s akin to gliding. After ascending to the height above most trees, it will quickly fall but recover itself on the ground, though not before brutally kicking whatever provoked it to in the first place. Aerial manoeuvres seem to be both its fight and flight. Domesticated Taming a Synoicus is a rather simple task, it is incredibly attracted to honey and once fed it will become docile to humans, allowing it to be hand fed a variety of foods to its liking. Once tamed, a Synoicus can either be farmed for its eggs that pose amazing healing properties for humans and creatures alike, or it can be trained by its survivor to either fight using hit and run jump-kicks that do a burst of heavy damage but fall off in power, or a running barrage of kicks that increase in power the more that hit its target. (Easter Egg! Because this creature is based off the currently living Chinese Painted Quail, which is capable of parthenogenesis, a non-mate boosted female Megachinensis, wild or tamed, has a rare chance of asexual reproduction! 1/3 chance for a non mate boosted female’s egg to be fertilized with the same colors/stats of the mother, can be mutated.) In game, works similar to a moschops tame, though needs to be fed honey from the ground first or it will attack the player. It will ask for any meat, any berry or crop, any regular seed, chitin, honey or regular kibble. When tamed it can be trained in either egg laying or one of two fighting styles. Dodos will no longer be the only cute round egg laying birds in the game, you will be able to tame your own (giant) Chinese Painted Quail and train it to your liking, though it can only be trained in one direction, locking the others. Females will also be able to be trained in a third direction, egg laying! This will increase egg production rates (very useful as their eggs can work as a powerful medical brew, that even works on dinos) and reduce their mating interval. 15. Photo At Bottom Wild- Originally from the early Cretaceous period, and quite a bit larger than its ancestors, hamipterus tianshanensis is quite the interesting specimen. Found dotted around Valguero’s soaring chalk cliffs and frigid tundra, it easily stands out due to its unique beak crest. Quite a lazy parent, Hamipterus can often be seen dumping its own eggs in the nests of others. However, they appear to go unbothered, mostly due to their tendency to clear out pests from nests. Most surprisingly though, is its incredibly unique ability to generate electricity. Often using it to stun would be dangers and egg thieves, with the original nest owners swooping in to end anything unlucky enough to get caught. Tamed- due to its skittish nature and electrically-raised torpor resistance, taming an adult Hamipterus is nearly impossible. However, because of its parasitic yet almost symbiotic nesting habits, Hamipterus eggs can often be found tucked into the Wyvern and deinonychus nests around the Ark. once raised, Hamipterus proves to be a quite versatile mount. Able to fly long distances swiftly, hover, fly backwards and even dive under water for short periods of time. Combined with its unique ability to produce electricity and act as an on the go crafting station, any survivor would be Certainly be lucky to have access to one. Side note- due to its electrical nature, Hamipterus can create a sort of stasis field, negating incoming damage and preventing the rider from being dismounted. Notable points- Hamipterus eggs can be found in deinonychus and Wyvern nests. Hamipterus not affected by the “charged” buff will attempt to rush the egg thief, even if the egg belongs to either a deinonychus or Wyvern. Hamipterus will stun for 10 seconds, allowing Wyvern or deinonychus parents to overwhelm survivors. Saddle- 30 Fabricator saddle- 48 Tek saddle(?) beat Valguero boss Abilities (non key bound for now) Standard attack, dive, water diving, latching to trees and cliff faces Special abilities- anti dismount stasis field, Powering its’ fabricator saddle using meat, and electricity, powering tek replicator saddle with meat and element. Has weight reduction on metal, polymer, obsidian. If fed unfertilzed eggs, 5% chance to receive related egg tribute (for example, Rex eggs give Rex arms, 1% chance to drop alpha variant trophy) Drops-wild ones will drop a “Hamipterus electrocytes gland. Eating the gland grants the “charged” buff. Giving survivors boosted Stamina, speed and health regen. Lasts 10 seconds, stackable 10 times, 40 second buff cooldown in between. Gland also makes Hamipterus ignore egg theft. AUTHORS NOTE- Valguero is and always will be my favorite map, and I feel like it’s vastly under appreciated. I also am of the opinion that Ark has a shortage of flyers. However, I’ve always hated the notion of introducing a new dinosaur making one or several dinosaurs redundant. With the Hamipterus, I attempt to add something to Ark without taking away from it as well. Slower than a PT, weaker than an Argy. My vision for Hamipterus was a reliable travel mount. It has slight weight reduction sure, but can’t carry an Anky or other farming Dino’s like an Argy. More similar to a PT, but slower. If this dinosaur wins the creature vote, I don’t believe it will make either the Argy or PT redundant. I also wanted to add a QOL change, by making the potential for tribute farms for some of those harder to obtain tributes like Megalania Toxin or Tuso tentacles. I hope you enjoyed my submission, and plan on voting for it, thank you for taking the time to read my submission, may the best one win. Art by PrinceBinxandEmma, my wife❤️
  16. I have finde older submissions about a gigant otter and i love it, so i post it her. The old poste idea are from Oreloki The overall idea is to provide players with a jack of all trades water mount that opens up many doors for early game. It will have features of the Basi, Diplocaulus, Otter, and Anglerfish, but each of those creatures will far outclass it in their respective uses. This creature is meant to be an early-midgame tame, one that is for opening up new routes in your playthrough that are normally locked behind either later game gear or having to combine multiple other tames together to get the same easy access to the ocean. Early oxygen tank- The Dire Otter will give an oxygen boost underwater. It will NOT be a free oxygen tank like the Diplocaulus, but instead provide the same extended dive period that the Genesis 1 ocean has. This is based on the air-trapping properties of beaver fur, which normally insulates its skin underwater. The bubbles trapped in the Dire Otter's mane are easy access for its rider. Cold water insulation- The Dire otter makes it easier to dip your toes into the frigid oceans of the Arks. Perhaps not as well as having its miniature relative tucked around your neck, but enough to get you by! Pearl gatherer- The Dire Otter can harvest more pearls than the player can by hand, but less than an anglerfish. Stun immune- The Dire Otter can't be stunned by Jellyfish or slowed by Eels, but it isn't as tanky or hard-hitting as a Basi. This stun immunity is again thanks to the insulating properties of the otter's fur. On top of this, the Dire Otter will be decent on land, probably equatable to a sabertooth, if not a bit slower. The real Enhydriodon omoensis, on which this creature was based, was theorized to be a formidable hunter on both land and in water, so Ark's version should at least be able to manage an ambush sprint on land. As far as the design goes, it's actually a little nod to how a few other Ark creatures are based on cryptids! The Dire Otter is based on a cryptid called the Dobhar-chú, hence the scaly appearance. This is also what sparked the idea for the name Syreni, for both its mermaid appearance and being both a land and water creature. The fins are optional lmao If Wildcard decides to disclude them in the final design, so be it. In my personal opinion, an otter with fish traits is just as in-line with Ark's genetically modified creature designs as an elephant-sized insect, but I also trust the devs to adapt the design to something that looks like it belongs in the game, as they have done with all the previous creature vote winners. The Dire Otter will spawn rarely in areas with access to both land and deep water (On Ragnarok specifically, Casun Islets comes to mind first). It will be aggressive and have the ability to grab players who are on foot and drag them to the water, attempting to drown them. They cannot grab a player off of a mount. I don't intend to make another Kapro. Taming them is the fun part! You tame them by playing Simon Says with your emote wheel! So for example the otter will wave at you, and you'll have a few seconds to wave back. If you mess up by missing the time window or using the wrong emote, the otter will try to drown you (they have to be near water to be tame-able) I'm thinking to initiate the tame, you must first offer them a fish corpse above a certain size, that way you don't just have a bunch of otters waving at you all the time, cute as that would be. It also puts a small barrier on an otherwise ridiculously easy tame. They're meant to be early game, but they shouldn't be free. The Dire otter is an extremely intelligent and social creature, and this carries over to the bond with the person who tames them! Using emotes to interact with a tamed otter strengthens this bond, giving special perks! (A wave emote could give a short harvesting bonus, a fist bump gives a damage bonus, etc.) Attacks: Torpedo attack. Basically a Pteranodon spin attack but underwater Tail Slap. Could possibly do a knockback or a short stun Drag. Can grab creatures smaller than itself and maintain the grab status when becoming submerged, quickly draining oxygen from the victim in the grab state and drowning them. As for the saddle, I did put some thought into that and I think it would be cool if the saddle had inflatable canisters on it, perhaps fueled with something like gas or sulphur, that could allow a player to very rapidly rise to the surface of the water in emergency situations. On land, the canisters could be punctured in a pinch to release a cloud of gas, either to let you make an unseen escape or send smaller creatures packing. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas for interesting mechanics to add or balance this cutie out. Ideas from the comments! Able to passively scare off Seagulls and Piranha Able to catch and transport live fish while underwater Saddle gives perks but isn't needed to be ridden. Possibly faster without it, at the sacrifice of armor Some kind of sea crate buff? Finite Oxygen underwater, but oxygen refills if it eats fish, making it viable to remain underwater for longer periods of time but still not quite as good as a scuba tank Tamed otters are able to rescue you and pull you to the surface if you're drowning
  17. Introducing Hallucigenia toxicon, the Spikey Vaporizer! Tags: invertebrate, Cambrian, pve, pvp, toxic vapor, flip over, swap locomotion method, eerie spikes, color-changing, toxic vapor, cannon saddle, raiding, cave mount, travel mount, pearl collector, charge with pearls, taming helper “Welcome, survivor. You see before you the pinnacle of…” wait no, wrong line. Welcome, survivor, to our Community Creature Submission; the Bristling Toxic Thorn, also known as Hallucigenia toxicon! This submission is a collaboration between me and Interstellarpool176. What is this creature? Hallucigenia is a genus of invertebrate from rock strata dating back to the Cambrian Explosion. It isn’t technically an Arthropod, but it is closely related enough to justify calling it a “bug”. Since its discovery in 1900, Hallucigenia has received a lot of controversy on how it may have looked and behaved. Many of the abilities and features in this concept are inspired by outdated misconceptions from studies of Hallucigenia. *NOTICE* Before you look through this page, I would like to thank you for the time you took to support out passion project. I encourage you to look through this submission fully, so your final vote will be the best you can make. If you glance at the illustration and vote off that, you aren’t giving it your best thought and best decision. I would also encourage you to do the same to other submissions, so the final vote can be fair and well decided. Thank you and without further ado, I present to you the Hallucigenia toxicon. Enjoy! Dossier. Common name: HALLUCI Species: Hallucigenia toxicon Time: Early Cambrian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: No other creature in all the ARKs is quite like the Hallucigenia toxicon. The only organism I’ve discovered so far from pre-Ordovician strata, Halluci displays some very unusual traits. The strange spikes that line this invertebrate’s body seem to be made from a silicone-like material. They glow in bizarre colors and can emit toxic vapors onto enemies. It would be most wise to keep your distance while observing Hallucis. Domesticated: Hallucis love silica pearls and eat them to “charge” their toxic spikes. Getting close enough to hand-feed one is the dangerous part, and the only possible method is to flip the Halluci over onto its spikes. The Halluci is an incredible animal as a companion. Its silica spikes allow it to release choking fumed onto your enemies. However, emitting the vapor burns up silicone rapidly, so the Halluci must be heavily fueled. Hallucis are also coveted for the valuable material that makes their spikes. In the Wild. The Halluci is an aggressive animal that always spawns solo. They can be found around and in the Lake that makes up the center of Valguero. Rarely, they can even be found in the Abyss, spawning at high levels there. Hallucis will attack many of the animals in its environment, such as fish, survivors, and any creatures a Dilo would attack. Harvesting them gives Chitin, Meat, Silica Pearls, and occasionally Black Pearls. Taming. Halluci is a creature that must be fed to tame. However, unlike normal passive feeders, Halluci required must be calmed first. When attempting to tame Halluci, you must keep your distance, as Halluci can use White Vapor (see below) when fighting in the wild. There are a few main steps to taming the Halluci. 1. If it is in the water, you must lure the Halluci onto land. They are aggressive so this isn’t too difficult. Be careful of Vapor though and using SCUBA Gear or a semi-aquatic mount it best. 2. Lure it into a trap of Spiked Walls (metal or wood). The Hallucigenia must be completely surrounded by Spiked Walls (they don’t take damage from spiked walls). 3. Through a Poison Grenade into the trap with the Halluci. Since it has no Torpor, it won’t fall unconscious. But, if it is surrounded by Spikes walls and affected by a Poison Grenade, it will temporarily calm. 4. Pick up or jump a Spiked Wall after the Poison disperses (you don’t want to be knocked out). You must then passively feed the Halluci Pearls while it is calmed. Silica Pearls or Black Pearls work, with the latter being far more effective. 5. As soon as it eats, it will lose calmness, and attack. Escape the trap and wait until it is hungry again, then throw a Poison Grenade and repeat the process. Actions. Stab: (, , ) - The primary attack of Halluci is a turn-and-stab with its spikes. This attack has a decent AOE and inflicts 30 base damage. Targeting Oysters will allow Halluci to harvest large amounts of Silica Pearls. Beaver Dams can be damaged with this attack on any game type and receiver 10x damage. If a Beaver Dam is destroyed with this stab, the Hallucigenia automatically receives everything inside the Beaver Dam other than wood. If a creature is hit by this attack, they are slowed and (in the case of a survivor) hallucinate. Bristle: (, , ) - This is the secondary attack of the Hallucigenia. The Halluci uses all of its spikes to stab targets in an area completely surrounding it. This attack inflicts 20 base damage, but damages targets on all sides. Unlike the primary attack, this secondary attack cannot harvest Pearls or destroy and gather from Beaver Dams. Vapors: Only one Vapor can be active at a time. If the Halluci does not have the required Pearls in its inventory, the Vapor deactivates and cannot be used, but there is otherwise no cooldown to the Vapor. Flipping over onto its spikes will also automatically deactivate the Vapor, until it is flipped onto its legs and the controls are used again. You can use a Gas Mask or Tek Helmet to block either Vapor, or a Scuba Tank to block the Health drain of Tahitian Vapor, but those item will slowly lose durability while in the Vapor. White Vapor: ([C], , ) - Using this action will automatically turn on or off the White Vapor. The Halluci’s spikes stop changing color and turn white, and a cloud of white vapor appears in a 5-foundation radius around the Halluci. Every 10 seconds while the Vapor is active, 5 Silica Pearls are automatically consumed in the Halluci’s inventory. Enemy creatures in the radius are affected with the White Vapor condition. This condition lasts for 1 minute and will keep refreshing as long as the creature is in the Vapor. The Vapor clouds the lungs of victims and attacks their nerves, draining their strength rapidly. While under effect from this condition, victims: move at half speed (can still jump) inflict half melee damage rapidly lose Stamina (at the same rate as Titanboa venom raises Torpor) White Vapor is used by wild and unmounted Hallucis when near a creature they are aggroed onto. Tamed Hallucis will still require the Silica Pearls, but wild ones do not. You can also activate or deactivate White Vapor manually on a tamed Halluci via control wheel. Hallucinogenic (Black) Vapor: ([Left Ctrl], , ) - Using this action will automatically turn on or off the Hallucinogenic Vapor. The Halluci’s spikes stop changing color and turn black, and a cloud of black vapor appears in a 5-foundation radius around the Halluci, spreading even through structures. Every 15 seconds while the vapor is active, 1 Black Pearl is automatically consumed in the Halluci’s inventory. Enemy creatures in the radius are affected with the Hallucinogenic Vapor condition. This condition lasts for 30 seconds and will keep refreshing as long as the creature is in the Vapor. The Vapor clouds the heart of victims and attacks their life, draining it rapidly. While under effect from this condition, victims: are slowed to quarter speed (can jump) inflict half melee damage are affected by a condition similar to the Hallucinogenic Spores, but your vision is darker and suffocation is slower – you lose 1% of max health every second while affected writhe in pain and constantly turn in random directions, making aiming difficult Hallucinogenic Vapor is not used by wild Hallucis or unmounted ones. Flip Sides: ([Space], , ) - Instead of jumping, the Halluci will flip over from its legs and onto its back spikes, or vice versa. While on its spikes, the Halluci can run or swim faster and gains a 25% damage resistance but is unable to use Vapor or attack. Dismounting will not cause the Halluci to flip; it will stay on whatever side it was on when dismounted. Also, hitting the spikes doesn’t deal damage to the Halluci, so while flipped over smaller creatures may not be able to reach it and do any damage at all. Features. Size. So how big is this creature? The Halluci is a small-medium mount. It can fit in most places a Thylacoleo could. They can be picked up by Argys and up. Bolas do NOT work on Hallucigenia. Eerie Spike Colors. The spikes of wild and tamed Hallucis constantly switch color, and glow brightly. The only exception is when Vapor is used, in which case the spikes turn black or white. The default color patterns of the spikes are always red, green, and blue. All three colors alternate with each other, changing the spikes’ color every few seconds. Example: All spikes are blue. They all turn red. They all turn green. They all turn red again. This color swapping is similar to the Eerie creatures in mobile version of ARK. The three colors of the spikes are all color regions and can be mutated to change the colors the Halluci swaps between. Pearls. Using its primary attack, Halluci can harvest Silica Pearls quite efficiently. Also, if the Halluci finishes (harvests) a corpse, it has a 2% chance of recovering a Black Pearl from the corpse’s innards. Hallucigenia has a 75% weight reduction on Silica Pearls and Black Pearls. Eating. Although Halluci requires pearls to tame, it can eat meat or fish meat as normal once tamed. It does NOT eat Pearls when tamed, in fact, yet it does consume them when emitting one of its Vapors (see above). Feces. The Hallucigenia does not generate feces like other animals. Instead, for about 5 seconds, it releases a small cloud of vapor that works the same as White Vapor, but only affecting any creatures directly behind and next to it. Vapor Immunity. Wild and tamed Hallucis, as well as their riders, are immune to the Vapor of other Hallucis, as well as negative effects from toxins like mushroom spores and the Swamp Cave. Saddle. The Hallucigenia requires a saddle to ride. The saddle is unlocked at level 50 and requires 100 Hide, 150 Silica Pearls, and 85 Fiber to craft. Cannon Saddle. The Hallucigenia Cannon Saddle can be unlocked at level 71 and must be crafted in a Fabricator. It requires 70 Polymer, 150 Silica Pearls, 5 Black pearls, 150 Hide, and 110 Fiber to craft. Once equipped, it works much like a normal Halluci saddle, but attached two guns to the front spikes, one on each side. The left gun is bright silver, and the right gun is black silver. While the Cannon Saddle is equipped, the keys to activate the Halluci’s Vapor can be held down (one Vapor at a time). While the key is being held down, a crosshair appears, showing where it is aiming. After 5 seconds, the cannon is charged and the appropriate Vapor fires out of the corresponding-colored cannon. Each shot consumes the appropriate pearls (5 Silica Pearls for each White Vapor Shot, 1 Black Pearl for each Hallucinogenic Vapor shot). The shot will continue until it hits a solid surface or creature, after which it will explode into a cloud of the Vapor. These Vapor clouds last for 20 seconds, and have the exact same effects as normal, except they are centered on the shot and not the Halluci. Like with normal attacks, you cannot shoot Vapor with a Cannon Saddle if the Halluci is upside-down. Stats & Breeding. Health: 195 Stamina: 280 Oxygen: X Food: 900 Weight: 150 Movement Speed: On Legs: similar speed and turn radius to Parasaur (on land or water) / On Spikes: similar speed to Gallimimus (on land) or Ichthyosaur (in water), but with better turn radius Torpidity: X Breeding. Hallucigenia do not lay unfertilized eggs. When breeding, they will lay fertilized eggs to hatch offspring. Hatching the egg requires it to be inside of White Vapor from an adult Halluci. You will need to stand by and make sure the adult Halluci keeps spraying Vapor. Young Hallucigenia do not harvest pearls, emit Vapor, or emit gas/feces (see above). Young Hallucis can eat meat just like any other young carnivore. The Hallucigenia has 6 Color Regions, which can be changed. 3 of these Color Regions are its three spike colors, the colors it will alternate between like an Eerie dino from ARK Mobile. The default colors are blue, red, and green (the 3 ARK colors). Utility. And now, here are the overall utilities the Halluci could serve with its features. The Halluci is designed to fit any style of gameplay, from PvP to PvE, and be more than just a better version/replacement of an existing creature. Pearl Collector. This is the most obvious utility of Hallucigenia. It can use its spikes to harvest Silica Pearls efficiently from Oysters or Beaver Dams. It can also collect Black Pearls from corpses, but extremely rarely. Using its weight reduction, it can gather and hold massive amounts of these resources. Raiding. The Halluci’s toxic vapor can be extremely useful when raiding enemies to potentially immediately knock a player out of the fight. However, the Halluci’s moderate speed and low health could become a disadvantage. One idea would be to activate one of the Halluci’s vapors and then carry it on an Argentavis to the preferred target. Once the Cannon Saddle is unlocked, the Halluci can be used to attack with Vapor from a distance. Cave Mount. The Hallucigenia is small enough to fit into most caves and makes for an efficient caving mount. Its powerful attacks and vapor can easily subdue enemy creatures. Travel Mount. Using the Hallucigenia’s spike side, you can move extremely fast and traverse rocky terrain. Despite being unable to attack or excrete Vapor while on its spikes, the Halluci can move at about the speed of a Gallimimus (but with a better turn radius) on land, as well as scale moderately sized obstacles like a Titanboa. In the water, Halluci can swim at about the speed of an Ichthyosaurus while its spikes face downward. Taming Helper. Using its Vapor, the Halluci can aid you while taming a creature, passively or KO. When the creature is knocked out, “White” Vapor can be used to gain slight protection from wild dinosaurs who want to ruin Taming Effectiveness. Also, using Vapor to slow down escaping creatures will help with certain tames. Using “Black” Vapor is unwise, as the creature you are taming will suffocate. Some reference images to give you an idea of this creature's composition. Why this creature? - Hallucigenia would be a wonderful addition to the game we love. While much of the focus is on dinosaurs and other Mesozoic giants, we mustn’t forget the spectacular miraculous critters of the worlds beyond the dinosaurs. Hallucigenia would be a quite useful creature in ARK, whether for battling enemies in PvP or caving and breeding in PvE. I’m sure plenty of players would have a grand time mutating Halluci’s glowing spikes, choking enemies to death in vapor, flipping over, over and over again (don’t you lie, you would do it), and overall, just shining with our spikey friend. This creature is probably the most popular of all the bizarre Cambrian invertebrates (alongside Anomalocaris). If it made it into ARK, Hallucigenia would be the oldest animal taxon in the entire game. ARK, like any good game, is meant to be fun. And Hallucigenia could offer a great new experience unique from the big battle reptiles we’ve recently received (they are decent, don’t get me wrong). It is powerful and fun, but balanced. Please consider supporting our mighty friend. Every player counts. And if you have any ideas to make it even more fun, share your thoughts! Enjoy! Credits. Thanks to Interstellarpool176 for helping with the Halluci’s model. I would also like to thank those who aided me with some ideas, material, and inspiration for this design: Ashgcy, DILONG, John Zhenyualong, Arkenor, and Interstellarpool176. And thanks to you, dear reader, for supporting our spikey critter.
  18. Introducing Barapasaurus sonica, the Burping Behemoth. Hello survivors! Here on Valguero, I present to you the Barapasaurus, or the “BURPASAURUS”! In summary, this burping behemoth requires a loud noise generated by Alarm Traps to tame. It is useful for cooking and agriculture. Because, Custom Recipes can be used to power the burps of the Burpasaurus, which throws back and stuns creatures. Additionally, equip a funnel to its mouth and project burps with world shattering intensity, bringing down walls or stunning bosses! Without further ado, here is the burping behemoth itself…. Dossier here: https://imgur.com/gallery/barapasaurus-sonica-burpasaurus-rgbmshg In the Wild. The Barapasaurus is a rare spawn in the White Cliffs and the Emerald Forest, and always spawns solo. Barapasaurs aren't aggressive, but will randomly burp occasionally, so be aware that it may stun you or ruin your Stamina. This stun does not dismount you, but works rather like the Trike Stun. Anything that attacks Brontos will attack the Barapasaurus, and if it is provoked, it does fight back and inflict damage (unlike a Diplo). Baby Barapasaurus will occasionally spawn in the Wild. They, like adults, will Burp randomly, but their Burp is only 50% as effective as the adults’. Taming. To tame the Barapasaurus, you need to show that you are as loud and disruptive as it is. ● Locate the Barapa and clear enemies (of course). You will need several Tripwire Alarm Traps. The quantity depends on the level. ● Place a Tripwire Alarm Trap where the Barapa will tread over it. Make sure it is set to go off from wild dinos. ● One it treads over the trap and the noise blares, you have about 10 seconds to feed it a Custom Dish or Drink. The Barapasaurus will specify if it wants a Dish or Drink. Taming Progress goes up based on how much Water (if a Drink) or Food (if a Dish) the item gives. If the Custom Consumable is one that decreases Health, it can still be fed, but Taming Effectiveness will plummet. So don't feed it toxic food! ● As soon as it is fed, the Barapasaurus will Burp, so be ready! Actions. (PC/Xbox/PS4) Stomp. (//) - The primary attack of Barapasaurus inflicts 30 base damage. It involved a stomping jab with the thumb spikes on its hands. Harvests thatch and wood with average efficiency. Tiller and Harvester. (/ /) - The secondary attack of Barapasaurus is a cropping, scooping bite that harvests berries and mushroom patches at an average rate. It has a 5% of harvesting 25 Water from bushes, that cannot be used until put into a Jar or Skin. No damage is inflicted with this attack, but knock-back akin to a Diplodocus's is used. Crop Plots. The Barapasaurus can target any crop plot with its secondary Bite attack, and automatically gather all crops from it. Also, it gives the crop plots a temporary buff that allows it to grow 2 extra stacks of whatever food until harvested, as well as growing 20% faster (on top of any Greenhouse buffs). There will need to be empty slots for the extra stacks, of course. If you target a crop plot with no plants, the Barapasaurus will plant a seed of your choice that it has in its inventory. The same buffs are applied to it. You still need fertilizer for the new plant as normal. If you use this on X-plants, they grow up with 15% extra health. Burps. The Burpasaur has 2 kinds of Burps, one for Dishes and one for Drinks. It automatically consumes 1 Custom Drink or Dish depending on the Burp, and if there are multiple different kinds of the Consumable, it consumes the one with the best quality. Depending on the quality of the Consumed Dish or Drink, the Burp will be stronger or weaker. Stunning Burp (Dish). ([C]//) - The Burp effects creatures in a 8-foundation radius around the Barapasaur. They are knocked back a considerable distance if Barapasaur-sized or smaller. Creatures of all sizes are Stunned (like a Trike Stun, so no dismounting) for a duration of 1 second per 30 Food in the Food stat of the consumed Custom Dish (mininum of 1 sec, maximum 100 seconds). Draining Burp (Drink). ([Left Ctrl]//) - The Burp effects creatures in a 6-foundation radius around the Burpasaur. They relieve the Draining Burp Status Effect for 20 seconds. This condition causes them to, for every 25 Water in the Custom Drink's water stat, lose 10 Food per second, lose 10 Stamina per second, and receive 10% extra Torpor Damage. Other Barapasaurus are immune to the effects of Burps. Also, Burps do not draw the aggro of creatures, as they don't do damage unless using a Funnel (see below). However, Chalicotherium effected by a Burp will aggro, as they get jealous that you Burp louder. Abilities. Cooking Pot Saddle. The Barapasaurus does not require a saddle to ride. Any headgear can be equipped to it. However, like the Equus, it does have an optional saddle. This item can be unlocked at Level 50, requires Smithy to craft, and costs 60 Stone, 200 Thatch, 20 Metal Ingots, and 100 Hide. The saddle comes equipped with a Cooking Pot with 100 slots. While dismounted and standing on top of the Barapasaurus, this Cooking Pot can be accessed and used to cook anything a Campfire or normal Cooking Pot can cook. Fuel is infinite, but any other ingredients must be added as normal. Anything crafting in this Cooking Pot counts as having +10% Crafting Skill put into it. Funnel. At Level 69, the Funnel Headpiece can be unlocked. This is a headgear, but can only be attached to a Barapasaurus. It adds 25 Armor (Primitive quality) and does not have a durability. With The Funnel Headpiece equipped, the Barapasaurs can focus and intensify its devastating Burps. If you hold down the key for the Burp you want to use for 5 seconds and then release, it's area of effect is funnel-shaped in front of the Barapasaurus, around 20 foundations in length. Doing this will inflict 50 Base damage to creatures affected, altered depending on the Burpasaur's Melee stat and the distance of the target. Funneled Burps also damage all building tiers up to Metal, inflicting 10x extra damage to structures. Harvesting Gear. Also at Level 72, the Harvesting Gear headgear can be unlocked. It requires 10 Metal Ingots, 100 wood, and 100 Hide to craft in Smithy. It adds 30 Armor and has no durability. With this equipped, the Barapasaurus harvests rescources (with either attack) with 40% extra efficiency. The buff applied to crop plots by the secondary attack is increased by an extra stack of crops (if space in crop plot is available), 10% quicker growth, and 10% extra health (if X-plant). Living Fridge. In order to preserve the ingredients for its tasty Custom Consumables, the Barapasaurus can work as a fridge. Via inventory, 10 slots are available for any kind of spoiling food. If you drag a stack into these slots, its spoilage timer will drop to infinity. The Barapasaurus doesn't eat directly from this fridge. Tasty Poop. The poop of the Barapasaurus is special. It's basically Large Animal Feces, BUT, if left on the ground for long enough, Dung Beetles will start to spawn near it. Only a few can spawn for each feces. The level of the Dung Beetles will be equal to half the level of the Barapasaurus when it dropped the feces (rounded up). Turret Vulnerability. Not really an ability, but a counter. The bones of the Barapasaurus are light and flexible to resist extremely loud sonar damage. But, as a consequence, heavy projectiles are more destructive to their skeletons. *TURRETS INFLICT 150% DAMAGE TO BARAPASAURUS* This is a counter to its other abilities, so as not to overpower it. Base Stats & Breeding. Health: 1250 Stamina: 380 Oxygen: 400 Food: 15000 Weight: 790 Melee Damage: see attacks Speed: About Amargasaurus speed Torpor: X Babies. Baby Barapasaurus will eat only Custom Consumables (or kibble if for imprinting). Once grown, it will eat berries/crops like other herbivores. Strengths & Weaknesses. The Barapasaurus has many points of strength with all of its abilities. Agriculture. Barapasaurus can harvest general herbivore resources as well as mushrooms and water. Using its Tiller and Harvester headgear, it can increase crop yield and gather them all. Also, its Fridge mechanic can preserve fast-spoiling foods you want to keep. It's Cooking Pot Saddle, combined with these other mechanics, can help you craft Custom recipes with ease while on the move. Raid Support. The Funnel headgear can be very useful in a raid to clear a few structures in the way. However, its somewhat slow speed and primary attack damage mean that it isn't the best in a face-to-face skirmish. If enemies come close, the Stunning Burp can repel them. However, be careful of turrets, which inflict 50% extra damage to Barapasaurs. The tanky health of a high level Barapasaurus can still resist them for a while, and you could even use them as a turret soaker if you’re really crazy. Taming Assist. Using the Draining Burp, you can ruin the Stamina and Food of creatures you look to tame. This also makes them easier to knock out. Having friends ride along in the back seats can be very useful, as they can KO while the Burpasaurus burps. Why this creature? So why vote for an ugly, silly burping sauropod? Barapasaurus aims to offer a new sauropod experience for survivors of the ARKs. Rather than picking up the expected role of a big battle dino, it falls into a more unique niche. Barapasaurs would urge more players to use the Custom Consumable feature, experimenting with different formulas to create the strongest Food/Water stat and consequently, the strongest Burp! Also, we really don't have many dinosaurs specifically for agriculture, other than Dung Beetle, Phiomia, and Iguanodon somewhat. Yes, we will have 6 official sauropods once Dreadnoughtus and Brachiosaurus drop, but this should not impede the possibility of Barapasaurus on Valguero, as this funny creature fills a different, unique niche that, in all honesty, is much more useful than some in-game sauropods. While Titanosaurus and Dreadnoughtus fill the roles as colossal battle dinos, Bronto is a more easily acquired berry gatherer and transport, Diplo is a bus and soaker/tank, Amarga is impossible to tame and good for shooting spikes, I guess, and Barapasaurus would be a wholesome burping behemoth for taming support, raid support, and agriculture. Maybe you have some ideas or want to save your vote for another creature. Share any comments, concerns, or ideas you got in the comments, but be respectful to fellow users, please! Farewell, and good luck wherever you may fare. 👋 Credits: Art and concept by me. 19. Abilities/use: It will produce a pheromone in which ANY wild creature within 100 meters will not attack you, he, your creatures and structures (unless you attack they first), however, it will become more hungry if this ability is used. Males and females have a big difference in size, each with their own particularities. FEMALE: She will be rideable, you will be able to swim with it in rivers or lakes without any problems, and it will also be able to walk on the ground without any problems (even underwater). She will also be able to jump to grab onto any steep surface and increase its defense by 70%. In this mode, she will not receive bleeding and have a natural defense. MALE: He will not be rideable, but he will be able to stay on your back, if something attacks you in this area, all damage received will be neutralized. Its pheromone will continue to work if you mount a creature, but it will be less effective (Rexes, Spinos, Gigas, Carchas and alpha creatures will continue to attack you or your tameable creature) Taming method: To tame one, you will need to find a couple, and make both use the pheromone, so they can receive torpor, then just knock them down and feed them. WILD BEHAVIOR: They are solitary hunters, can be found in Valguero river or lake areas, most often in a couple, are territorial creatures, will attack anyone who gets close to them. Abilities: Left click: Bite (normal attack) Right click: Attack with the leg (it will be much faster than the bite, but he will be more vulnerable) D : Walk on underwater ground Space: Jump, and if aimed at a steep surface, he will be able to grab it. Hold E (on ground) / Hold R (mounted on him or when he is on your back): You can deactivate or activate his pheromone.
  20. The sinotyranus is the perfect mount for anyone who is looking to go to war. My suggestion would be to replace the carchar with this on valguaro. It would mainly be a boss fighter for PVE but in PVP it would be a destructive mount as it is capable of destroying the walls of a fortress and leading an army of Rexes to victory. It would also one of the very few ark creatures to have sexual dimorphism with very different abilities. Dossier Wild The sinotyranus seems to enjoy murder and will hunt down large animals for fun. It is slightly larger than a rex but quite a bit more agile. In the wild it will live in any environment and will move constantly searching for new prey. They are a completely solitary and rare creature which is good because if their were too many every ecosystem in the ark would be decimated by their cruel hunting sport. I have even witnessed one scaling a small cliff with ease in the pursuit of a nearby ovis. After a sinotyranus eats any mutton it will go into a craze with greater strength but an even stronger need for blood. It could be possible to domesticate this beast by first shooting it with a rocket and then feeding it mutton waiting for it's craze to wear off and repeating the process until it runs out of energy and will fall asleep and can be fed any meat. Domesticated One time I had arrived in a decently large settlement and a man riding on a male sinotyranus that had a massive turret saddle destroyed the entire place with ease. I almost lost my life. But if that one destroyed a city imagine what a pack of these and rexes could do. This is certainly one of the deadliest tamable creatures on this ark. It seems to have a natural affinity for rexes and will embolden your tamed rexes however if you keep two sinotyranus of the same gender close to each other for too long it could result in a fight to break out. Saddles Basic saddle Unlocks at level 40 and does nothing Male Artillery saddle Unlocks at level 85 and has a large triple barrel machine gun on the top as well as two smaller ones on the sides for passengers. Also it gives the sinotyranus a cool helmet like the dreadnoughtus. Female Net saddle Unlocks at level 85 and has a large net launcher on top as well as two traunq guns on the side it does also give the sinotyranus a cool helmet but no head bash Here is a drawing made by yours truly of the turret saddle for the male. The sinotyranus would be able to pick up small and medium sized creatures and rip them apart. The sinotyranus would be able to go to boss fights The sinotyranus would be between the size and strength of the T-Rex and the giga The sinotyranus and the T-Rex both get a small boost to their health and damage when close to each other. However having two sinotyranus near each other of the same gender for to long will cause them to fight each other until one is extremely low health The sinotyranus would drop sinotyranus feathers which would be used to make a sinotyranus ghillie suit which is just a better ghillie suit. The sinotyranus would have a head bash/charge attack that is upgraded by the turret saddle and only for the Males. The sinotyranus would be able to scale small cliffs by jumping and climbing up. The turrets cost advanced rifle bullets to fire The Females are slightly weaker but have a different saddle and look to them that is in the comments because I can only have so much. Please don't hesitate to reply I want suggestions, thank you. Also please share. 🙂and may the best creature win!
  21. Hello, I've suggested this creature before and will continue to do so since it is a viable option for a replacement for the Sinomacrops. I think adding this creature to Valguero might be useful since we would be waiting a long time for Lost Island. This Creature will be a passive tame where your going to need Chitin, Raw Fish, Raw Prime Fish or Regular Kibble to tame the Jeholopterus. Once tamed the and on the back of a Survivor the Jeholopterus will act not only an early jetpack, wingsuit, or parachute, but also a deterrent for not only bugs, but up to medium sized creatures to watch out for when traversing the ARKs. Wild Jeholopterus will attack the player if they've got either an Ichtyornis on their shoulder or any Chitin Armor. I think this would be a viable tame for anyone to tame up when traveling across Valguero or to transfer over to any of the other ARKs. The Jeholopterus was a real creature that lived 164.7 - 161.2 Million Years Ago in a vast areas from North Korea, Mongolia, and China.
The mount will not be able to carry eggs, only by making the nests will eggs be laid and incubated.
  23. INTRODUCING MOROS INTREPIDUS (Huge shoutout to WolfTek for creating this incredible dossier) WILD: No creature I have encountered has been so aptly named as the Moros Intrepidus. Roughly translated into “Impending Doom”, these relatively tiny tyrannosaurs can accelerate to an unmatched speed. Once Moros catches their target in their jaws, they pull backward with their neck and legs. This “tug o’ war” will immobilize smaller creatures and impede larger ones. However, enough Moros can immobilize almost any creature. Moros can leap onto larger or flying targets jaws-first, viciously shaking their head while hanging off of the creature. The leader of the pack can give the order to execute the target when it senses the target is near death. Upon hearing the signal, the pack will tear off the target in a horrifying display of blood and viscera. Encountering one Moros can ruin a survivor’s day, but a pack can spell a tribe’s doom. DOMESTICATED: Crafty survivors that have tamed a pack of Moros can employ them in some unexpected ways. One obvious use of the pack is to subdue and execute enemies. Successful executions seem to invigorate the pack to find the next target, but failed executions discourage the pack from further attempts. Moros can also be trained to hold a target in place without mauling the target to death, allowing for tribes to trap a creature without killing it. The tamed pack will do as the leader does. If the leader is idly holding the target down, then so is the pack. Targets will typically respond aggressively to being subdued, but Moros can take considerable punishment before letting go. Though this ARK is rife with theropods, both pack-hunting and solitary, none are quite so terrifying or practical as the Moros Intrepidus. INTRODUCTION I conceptualized this creature all the way back in 2023, right before the Extinction creature vote went live. I didn't imagine I would have to wait over a year for the Valguero creature vote to start, but I couldn't be more excited to share my idea with all of you now. I know what you're thinking, "look, another feathered carnivorous therapod, how original". That is a totally valid criticism of this submission, especially considering how Valguero already has its own exclusive pack-hunter that can leap on its target to kill. However, my idea is to bring an effective PvP/PvE ground mount to Valguero that is satisfying to both use and fight against. What makes this submission keenly attuned to Valguero is that Valguero is largely a terrestrially-based map and I conceptualized the creature to be fun to navigate the map with and take advantage of its topography. STATS I'm no balance expert and I am not going to claim to be, not waste anyone's time posturing with arbitrary numbers for health, damage, etc. I'm more going to pitch an idea and I encourage you to post your own ideas. That being said, I envision Moros as being slightly larger than a Raptor, but still smaller than a Baryonyx. I Imagine its health would be relative to other creatures in that size bracket. A distinguishing stat that I believe would make Moros stand out from other therapods is the acceleration mechanic that woolly rhinos and dire bears have. Moros would start off at a meandering trot, but would rapidly accelerate into a top speed above any other therapod. Having the Moros' jumping distance scale to its current level would make for a fun way to traverse the map and/or ambush a target. I imagine its damage output for its standard bite attack would also be relative to other creatures of its size, but its true damage output would lie with its synergies with the rest of its pack. UTILITY My biggest inspiration for this submission was watching two of my dogs play tug 'o' wat with a toy rope while I was playing ASA. I thought how fun it would be to have a tame in ARK that would clamp down on a target and pull with all their might just like dogs do while playing with their favorite toy. My idea for Moros is for its alternate attack to act like a grab attack that Kapros and Megalos do, but instead of walking around with the victim, the Moros would anchor down and add its drag weight to the target. Multiple Moros would be able to latch onto the same target with each of their drag weights being added. This latching attack could be performed from the ground or from a leap so that pesky flyers could be weighed down as well. The aerial latch could be performed similarly as the Deinonychus if that would be easier to implement, or the attack could be performed in the traditional way if that would be more balanced. Once the Moros is attached you can bite with the primary fire attack or simply hold the target in place without doing damage. Being latched should drain stamina and Moros would let go of the target after losing a certain % of their health. PACK MECHANIC Moros would have standard pack buffs with an alpha, but with an extra twist; all Moros in the pack will do as the alpha does with targets they are latched onto. This mechanic would allow the alpha rider to either have the rest of the pack hold the target in place, or they will attack every time the alpha does with the primary fire button. The alpha rider would have an extra ability in its disposal with an execute command. The alpha would roar to signal to all other attached Moros on a target to kill it before they can be shaken off. Once the signal is given, all Moros would rip a chunk out of the target, causing them to let go, but also deal tremendous damage in the process. If the victim dies from the damage, all of the Moros would get their health and stamina back from an adrenaline rush. However, if the victim survives, the Moros become demoralized and get a debuff that prevents them from latching on to a target for its duration. TAMING Taming Moros is a straightforward, but risky process. Wild Moros will use these latching abilities on players and their tames. In order to tame a Moros, you have to engage with the pack and knock them off of your tames after they latch on and feed them taming food. This would require tames that can survive the encounter and proper equipment, but nothing that survivors wouldn't have access to mid-game. You get the opportunity to feed the Moros each time you force them to let go of your tame, but taming progress will be lost if they succeed in executing your tame. CONCLUSION I have followed every creature vote to date very closely, but never imagined I would ever actually make a submission of my own. At the core of this submission is my desire for a tame to be added that players and their friends can have fun with together. From the taming process to employing it in combat against bosses or perhaps even other people in PvP. I also didn't want to create a shallow suggestion that would be some OP monstrosity that would ruin the balance of the game just for the sake of being cool by being overpowered. If you read this and have comments/criticisms then I would love to hear them. I want this suggestion to win, but I also want this to be a good suggestion that people are happy with. If you want to help me achieve that, then your vote says it all. SPECIAL THANKS You would think that the conclusion would have been the end of my submission, but I couldn't post this in good conscience without giving certain thanks where it is due. I had a tremendous amount of support from my friends and especially my wife. They endured countless hours of me workshopping this idea and stood by me every step of the way. If you're one of those people and you're reading this, I want to thank you from the bottom of the heart. I also have to give an extra special thanks to WolfTek for the amazing dossier. If/when I win this, your work will be what actually won it for me. You perfectly captured what I imagined and I can't recommend you enough to other people participating. My last thanks goes out to... you guessed it; you! There are a lot of good suggestions on this board and I appreciate that you would take the time to read all of this, even if you don't vote for me. So thank you either way! But especially thank you if you voted for me. ❤️
  24. Found in Valguero’s Aberration caves and forested regions, this gigantic arachnid is both feared and revered. It constructs massive webbed nests that entangle and kill prey. In the wild, they hunt in small groups led by an Alpha Death Weaver, but they will attack each other if resources are scarce. They are ambush predators, burying themselves in dirt or webs to attack unsuspecting players or creatures. Web traps placed in the wild can catch even the largest dino's, immobilizing them for minutes. Taming Method: Web Trap Tame 1. Locate a Nest: Search for their massive webbed nests. These areas are riddled with smaller creatures trapped in webs, which the Death Weaver will periodically check on. 2. Trigger the Alpha’s Aggression: Intentionally get caught in its web trap. This will trigger the Death Weaver to attack. Survive its venomous attacks (using stimulants to counteract torpor) while dropping Chitin, Keratin, or Giant Bee Honey nearby. The Death Weaver will inspect the bait and lose aggression temporarily. 3. Final Phase: Feed (possibly Chitin, Keratin, or Giant Bee Honey) it directly by approaching carefully during its passive state. Repeat this process several times while avoiding its web traps or sudden attacks. Abilities & Game Features 1. Web Field (Active): Creates a massive webbed area that slows all creatures (except the Weaver) and traps smaller ones. 2. Venom Strike (Active): Delivers venomous bites that deal stacking torpor and poison damage. 3. Wall Climb (Passive): Can climb sheer surfaces, including ceilings, making it ideal for exploration and ambushes. 4. Egg Hatchery (Passive): When idle, acts as an incubator for fertilized eggs, reducing hatching times significantly. 5. Gender Difference (Passive): Males are smaller and more swift with less toxin, while the females are about 2x the size slightly slower but crazy toxin levels. Focus: designed for base defense, mobility, and trapping. Breeding & Visual Design - Breeds by laying large glowing eggs, which hatch into small spiderlings. Spiderlings can gather silk automatically. These eggs must be hatched in dark caves or aberration zones. - Design: Nightmarish appearance with glowing venom sacs, pulsating abdominal patterns, and twitchy, erratic movements. Its eight glowing red eyes give it a menacing, otherworldly presence. Preferably about the size of either a trike or up to a karkinos. Progression & Saddle Type - End-game. Extremely powerful and versatile, capable of dominating in PvE and PvP settings - Saddle Type: Craftable at level 80 with Chitin, Metal Ingots, and Black Pearls. Saddle might include glowing venom sacs for intimidation. In Simple, imagine a smaller skinnier version of the BroodMother with 8 blood red eyes with varying sizes depending on the gender, that can move much faster and relies more on its trapping and toxicity methods over brute strength.
