  1. Survivor, everyone! Don't you want a dinosaur that is cool and good at collecting fibers, and on top of that, a reliable dinosaur? So, I propose the dinosaur "Fukuivenator" excavated in Japan. This dinosaur inhabits Japan from 127 million years to 115 million years ago, and is now considered to be a member of the primitive Therizinosaur. It seems that it was more carnivorous than Therizinosaur. In reality, the total length is said to be about 2.4m, but if it is added to ARK, I think a bigger one is better. wild Fukuivenator mainly appears in sanctutuary and underground forests, but it may also appear in snowy mountain domes. They are covered in feathers like Yutyrannus and are very fluffy! They are the same size as Therizinosaur, but they are faster on foot than Therizinosaur. Fukuivenator is violent, but it does not attack aggressively like other carnivores. However, it attacks from farther than therizinosaur. However, by equipping Gilly equipment, you can get close to them without being noticed. However, if you touch it, you will be noticed. In addition, you will be attacked by REX and Yutyrannus, but you will invalidate the roar of fear by Yutyrannus and get the same effect as the benefits of the roar of your ally Yutyrannus. Taming Fukuivenator can be tamed by making it coma. However, because they are covered with feathers, they reduce the damage caused by bullets and explosives and counteract the effect of Tranq Arrow and Tranquilizer Dart. Clubs and boomerangs are effective, but it is not recommended to provoke their anger. The most efficient way to put them to a coma is to hand them Narcoberries, Ascerbic Mushrooms, or Spoiled Meat. However, once you give it to them, they will get angry and start rampaging. You can't stop them from going on a rampage, so stay away and wait until they calm down. You can put them into a coma by repeating this. However, do not give Narcotic or Bio Toxin. If you give it by mistake, it will be noticed and act violently. It eats both fruit and Raw Meat, but prefers Raw Meat. His favorite bait is Exceptional Kibble. After taming Basic status plan of Fukuivenator Physical strength: 890 Stamina: 320 Oxygen value: 130 Food value: 2700 Weight: 325 Basic attack power: 57 Fukuivenator can be ridden by attaching a saddle. Therizinosaurs are better at collecting than them, but their fighting ability is higher. Also, by being warmed by the feathers while riding, most of the cold will be fine. Left click : Scratching The attack power is higher than Teririnosaurus. You can collect fiber by using it for grass, but you can't collect berries. Right Click : charge scratch It has a higher attack power than a left click, and you can make your opponent bleed like the leader of Allosaurus. However, there is a cool time of 15 seconds. Space Bar : Bite You can collect a lot of Thatches, Hides, berries and Pelts. In addition, the shock wave can stun organisms below the Jutaraptor for 8 seconds. C key:Roar The morale of the surrounding allies increases, and the attack power and attack speed increase for 40 seconds. In addition, the received ally can invalidate all state abnormalities for 10 seconds. X key:Grooming By mending, you can quickly recover your physical strength like Argentavis for 20 seconds. Also, feathers are available at this time, and these feathers can be used as a substitute for Pelts, polymers, and Fiber. However, there will be a cool time of 20 seconds before the next use. passive ability Like in the wild, Fukuivenator reduces the damage caused by bullets and explosives as well cancels the effects of Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Dart, and does not sleep by them. Also, it doesn't bleed because it's protected by feathers. In addition, by putting Hides, Pelts, and their feathers in the inventory, when they are damaged, they can consume one for each damage and reduce the damage they receive. Hides cuts 10% damage, Pelts 20%, and feathers 30% damage. As for the priority to consume, feathers are the highest and Hides are the lowest. This also applies to bullets and explosives, but not to poison or bleeding. Also, as in the wild, they nullify the roar of fear by Yutilanus and get the same effect as the benefit of the roar of their ally Yutilanus. Of course, they don't get scared. lastly If you think this creature is attractive, please vote! Also, if you have any questions, please leave a comment! From here on, it's an explanation for Japanese people.
  2. Deincheirus is a dino with a very particular appearance that will roam the great lakes of the center. Deinocheirus is considered by the survivors to be contrary to the rex and spino, since unlike these two, it has neutral behavior and is even protective of herbivorous animals. Wild Although Deinocheirus is referred to as the opposite of the rex, ironically it becomes very aggressive if its personal space is invaded or if you attack one of the herbivores of its "herd" from a small dodo to an imposing bronto. Domesticated. Tamed deincheirus is a great battle mounr that can easily be placed between the rex and spinosaurus, with the difference that the latter prefers berries to te meat. Tamed Deinocheirus will assume the role of guardian of the herbivores of youe tribe. In addition to the fact that their droppings are a source of nutrients for vegetables, their favorite food Tame. Step 1: to tame deinocheirus you will need to get him away from his flock (you choose the way to get him away, but beware that if Deinocheirus gets tired of you, he will return to where his flock is, so its preferable to kills his entire flock to avoids problems). Step 2: After getting rid of his herd, Deinocheirus will go into rage and receive a 50% damage resistence buff. In those moments, you will have to lower his health to less than 70%. After that, Deincheirus will fall exhausted on the floor. Step 3: After Deinocheirus falls exhausted to the ground, you will mount and feed him to heal him and begin his true taming. Step 4: Deinocheirus should hunt an kill large carnovores such as; tyranosaurus, spinosaurus, allosaurus, yutyranus, mosasaur(not recommended). If you achieve the great feat of killing a giganotosaurus or a carcharadotosaurus, Deinocheirus will be instantly tamed. Skills. Cattle guar: If deincheirus is a accompanied by more than one herbivore, it will receive a 20% attack buff and companions a 50% damage reduction buff. Grab: Deinocheirus with key C can pick up small and medium animals. Sorry for the bad english is not my mother tongue.
  3. scientific name:Crimson kubanochoeres Personality: Female friendly, male territorial consciousness [Ability] "A special fragrance" kubanochoeres's body will release a special fragrance, which has a strong interfering odor that can cause the frontal buff on its hostile creatures to subside. "The counter attacker of predator " kubanochoeres has specific combat effects for Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus based on gender. Male kubanochoeres is immune to 80% of Giganotosaurus's damage and can deal triple damage to the opponent with each attack. Female kubanochoeres is immune to 80% damage from Carcharodontosaurus and can deal triple damage to the opponent with each attack. [Manner of Taming] In the wild, kubanochoeres will appear in small groups, with female kubanochoeres being relatively friendly to humans and not actively attacking, while male kubanochoeres will actively attack approaching humans. Among them, male kubanochoeres cannot be tamed, and only individuals carrying young in female kubanochoeres can be tamed peacefully. You need to find a sow in the wild that follows a group of piglets. Then feed it with any feed. The level of feed determines the taming effect. After successful domestication, you can obtain the sow you feed and all the piglets it carries. [Precautions 】 Although female kubanochoeres does not actively attack, these swarming animals often have males with strong territorial awareness around them. kubanochoeres has a strong desire to attack Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus, and both males and females will attack Giganotosaurus or Carcharodontosaurus with a greater range of hatred than humans. When this type of animal attacks in groups, it can be a headache for the dominant players riding Giganotosaurus or Carcharodontosaurus. kubanochoeres's saddle unlocks at level 35.
  4. My Deinocheirus is gonna be a mid-game creature! Since The Center’s a Majority water, I wanted to make a creature that could be good for traveling the map but still leave room for some power and utility! So, I present to you, Deinocheirus Amphibidae! It’d be a semi-derpy creature but one that has a good sum of utility! I also wanted to bring a bit more life to the swamps! Something that wouldn’t try to kill you outright, but if you get it angry, you’ll be sorry you did! I felt inspired by some other creatures of past votes! It’d be almost as big as a Paracer, so you couldn’t miss it! So, take a look why don’t you? 🌎Habitat 🌎 Off the bat with a home and native habitat! As I said before, Deinocheirus would make its home in the swamps! They’d also live in the underground area of the map! Figured there could be something down there to reward those of you daring or lucky enough to make the trip! Saddle Seating - 3 Ability - Hydrated Like the Shadowmane and Spino, Deinosuchus would get the Hydrated ability! It’d get a boost in Health Regen, Movement Speed, Sharper Turn Radius, and Melee Damage! It’d seem fitting that a creature whose claws could cleave targets to pieces and can traverse the watery map with ease gets this buff! With a high health stat, yeah, you’ll be sitting on the beach letting your giant derpy duck play in the water for a bit, but it'll be worth it to keep it alive! Ability - Fish Filleting Since there’s creatures that take up roles of some tools, I figured we get one that’d be a living, Sickle! The Deinocheirus in the real world was presumed to eat plants but also consume fish! So, in the game I’ll make it a way you can not only get a lot of fish, it’d also be great for getting raw Prime Fish! Also, it’d have a weight reduction for the resource. Ability - Mobility Switching When the Deinosuchus enters deep enough water, it’ll gain webbing for its hands and feet and act as paddles for you to swim through the sea. Since you’d need a way to get from place to place, this is going to be one of its primary mechanics. Couple it’s decent swim speed with Hydration, it’ll be a very decent swimmer! You don’t have to worry about it going under either as it’ll have a natural buoyancy to it! Ability - Torpor Immunity To add a level of difficulty to this passive tame, the Deinocheirus is immune to Tranq Darts and Arrows! I’d figure since it lives in a biome where a good portion of the creatures deliver a blow to knock prey out, it’d built up an immunity! Taming You’ll have to be quick to feed this creature! It’ll have a preference of food! Ranked from the standard berries (Narco and Stim Berries Included), being the lowest, then Raw Fish, then Crops, then Raw Prime Fish meat! During the feeding interval, you’ll have to watch for the claws as they will swing them around in delight as you feed them! If you're in the path, they’ll do a decent bit of damage on you. So be careful while you try! Dossier Wild its interesting to see a creature in the swamps that can stand toe to toe with the Paracers. However, Deinocheirus Amphibidae is a pleasant surprise! Grazing in the swamps of this ark, they seem to neader and wade in the muggy waters. Grazing on the local flora and hunting occasional fish. It is refreshing to see docile and albeit friendly creatures wander the swamps. It seems to be ignored by most creatures, I have seen only one instance where a Sarco attempted to attack one, only to see the Sarco be ripped to shreds by the Deinocheirus's claws. While I was observing this massive creature, I noticed it has retractable webbing along its claws and fleet. Perhaps it's able to use its size and that webbing to swim from island to island of the center. I've witnessed the Deinocheirus gain a similar effect to the Spinosaurus when it's in the water! Perhaps it could rival the spino… Domesticated The Deinocheirus's claws make for collecting both normal and prime fish meat easy! Especially from fish like the Sabertooth Salmon and the piranha of its native biome. I've also seen that many tribes who want to show a sign of peace go for the Deinocheirus. If I had to give the creature a motto it'd be 'Speak soft and Carry a Big Stick.' This Gentle Giant is a fierce fighter if it needs to be. Especially if it makes contact with the water. Tribes who I've spoken with have all listed the same thing, Deinocheirus cannot be taken out by Tranquilizers or darts. However, they will not turn down being hand fed a free meal of Fish or Crops. They just have to be cautious not to get in the way of their claws that sway while they're eating. I do greatly hope you enjoy the Deinocheirus Amphibidae! It’s my first proper post! So, here’s hoping it makes it!
  5. Real name: Archaeoindris fontoynonti Ark Name: Archaeoindri Maxibrazo Wild: There is nothing equal to the maxibrazo archaeoindri, despite their large size they are just as peaceful as they are imposing, they are the noble giants of the Center. The fact that they look like 3-meter stuffed animals does not mean that you can approach and hug them as if nothing had happened, because they are somewhat territorial, they are like giant lemurs but with a behavior similar to that of mountain gorillas living in groups where there is a dominant male that cares for them. the females and their young which overprotect either the male using his abominable strength to be a lemur or the females with their poisonous bite. domesticated: It is rare to see domesticated archaeoindris since they hide in the thick jungles or in the tops of the redwood trees, so having one is not an easy task, also taking into account its resistance to toxins and poisons. Well, lemurs are very interesting creatures and several things occurred to me. Since it is the decision of those in charge of the creatures keep or devise the concepts assuming that the archaeoindris can be taken into account, I will leave the ideas that I have in mind separately, the main thing that is as a definitive vision of the lemur and the secondary thing that is like ideas that although I am not entirely convinced, I think it is important to mention everything. What I propose for the archaeoindris would be mainly that the females differ from the males by being able to inject toxins, something similar to the loris. This indri poison could have several uses, obviously it would raise the level of unconsciousness of the creatures it bites. From the first concepts I thought that its toxin could be extracted and combined with normal tranquilizer darts or jellyfish toxin, what normal darts would do would be to lower the hunger of the creature in order to be able to tame some creatures more easily, however it would not go up the level of unconsciousness as a normal dart would, while darts with jellyfish toxin would both raise unconsciousness and lower hunger. An example in case I didn't make myself understand, suppose you have normal darts with indri toxin, you use them on a creature you want to tame but apart from reducing its hunger with those darts, you'll have to use others that don't have that indri toxin to knock out the creature in question. Now, if you use darts with the indri and jellyfish toxins, you will no longer need to use other darts as these will sleep and lower the creature's hunger at the same time. That with the females, for the males I have thought that they are pure brute force, they would have two exclusive abilities based on this. Charging against structures or animals in a similar way to gorillas, this attack will launch creatures and characters with a fairly strong push. And the other ability is to throw projectiles like the chalicotherium, only unlike them, the indri will have to have the projectiles in their saddle, something like the bullets of the andrewsarchus minigun. The ammunition you will need will be cannonballs, chain balls, and crossbow harpoons. Males and females will be able to climb both Redwood trees, mountains and structures. They will jump quite high and fast, something like the transformed ferox but with an animation obviously more of a lemur like the sifaka. In the secondary, it's not much, but to give the team more ideas, in the first concepts of the indri I thought about the ability to emit very loud noises that scare creatures, something like the yutyrannus, since the noises of the lemurs in in reality they are very loud and can be heard for miles, so my guess is that a giant lemur obviously must have made really scary sounds. These roars or howls, in order not to be a recycling of the yuty, I suggest that instead of scaring or increasing the strength of the creatures, they help domestication by making animals that do not exceed the size of the indri docile. And speaking of its size, it could be between the size of a gacha and a megatherium. Another secondary ability would be immunity to narcotics, this based on the strength of the males and the females' production of their own toxin. Going on to domestication, I don't know how I could tame the archaeoindris by conventional means such as knocked out or passive, if you try to put the indri to sleep the darts won't do anything to it and you'll only earn a death text from the lemur, and if you try to tame it passively the same, if you get close to him he won't do anything to you, but if you want to force him to eat the archaeoindris he will force you to leave. To tame it, it will be necessary to create a special bamboo food filled with narcotics which you will throw on the ground and the indri will automatically eat it, raising its unconsciousness little by little until it becomes weak and although it will not fall asleep, it will turn quite docile so you can tame it by giving it food up close. One reason I think it would be a great creature for the Center is that the forests and jungles that cover so much of the map feel very empty.And if they take into account the archaeoindris with the talent of who designs the reviews it would be magnificent. PD: Sorry if there are badly written things. English is not my language If you got to this point I want to thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion, I hope you liked it and give this creature a chance I add an image that I made for now to help with game design
  6. Species Mystacina miocenalis Time Middle Miocene Diet Omnivorous Temperament Neutral Wild A species of small sized walking bats that prowl the forest floors across the jungles of the Arks, these small creatures forage for fruit and carcasses, but they prefer to feed on bugs. They spend the daytime hiding in a colony in small burrows where they cannot be found, at night they come out and can be seen flying or scuttling around. They seem unafraid of survivors and won’t flee or spook, making them easy to tame by giving them delicious bugs you bring them. If a survivor is lucky enough to locate a den they can loot it for whatever goodies the bat has unearthed, from precious stones to lost items, this will cause the inhabitants of the den to become aggressive and swarm you with painful bites for a short time. Domesticated A passive tame that is quite simple to attain, at first they seem to be a normal shoulder pet with limited use, but many survivors have discovered that these bats release a foul odor that makes creatures that like dismounting you such as Purlovia end up stunned instead! The bat will also deliver a life saving bite that will remove a stunned state to its owner, making them a great little companion. Also in the company of other bat species these little creatures will give them a minor buff similar to a pack boost but not as efficient as long as it is on on the owner’s shoulder. Also much like the hawks on Fjordur they will bring you your possessions if you perish. They are omnivores so keeping them fed is no trouble in hard times. They can also cling to walls when sleeping in your base and make adorable noises. The idea behind this is we absolutely need an anti-stun lock tame… also because why not go for a full Bat Rider set as we have a full “Eagle” Rider set. Basically it tames similar to the Hawks, but bringing it bugs is better for effectiveness. The dens are basically mini-Beaver dams but with a regular lootcrate inventory, so you can get basic stuff out of it.. not totally worth it but if in a pinch it could be worth it. Wanted to make them not a total reskin of the hawks so they do function differently outside the return items function, meaning that both have a function distinct from the other. To note they only fly when fleeing or attacking in the wild, just to make finding them easier.
  7. Hey there im reposting my previous suggestion of the deinocheirus. This dinosaur is similar to the therizino its an omnivorous giant just a little bit higher than the therizino and much more bulkier. It also has a nice set of claws just like the therizino. It has a duck like beak perfectly suiting this terror gose which some part of the concept is based on. The dino although it lived in swamp's certainly wasn't suited for a deep water lifestyle more like a shallow water fisher id see it fitting into the green biomes river areas as there are plenty of fish there. Gameplay: I think our modern creatures in ark cant exist without a good utility. Pve:How many times have you been grinding Berrys and thought how much easier it would be if you can chose what you want to harvest like with the stryder. I personally thought about this a lot so my idea is deinocheirus has a secondary attack like the tickle of the therizino but it leans forward and starts biting the grass like a gose or a duck with small movements but fast and that attack only harvests the berries and harvestables selected. Pvp: oh boy as many times Ive been trapped in a net and though about my life decisions, any way deinocheirus has sharp and long claws and sure packs some tricks. when neted it can use its sharp claws to cut the net and free Itself in just a few seconds. It van also free allies. Neutral: Its primary attack is just a swipe that cause painful wounds slowing down even the largest of foes. when stationary the primary attack becomes much more like a feroxes swipe attack while stationary swiping left to right while this attack is repeated it stacks a buff that speeds up the attacks, much like the tek claw. The buff is reseted by moving or pausing, however when fully stacked the buff sticks around for 5 seconds even while moving, the timer is reseted by further punching. its omnivorous behaviour could mean it can eat sweet veggie cakes. Taming: The last few creatures added to ark are not the same old taming method we are used to i expect nothing less from asa so i thought this creature should have its own unique either. being the concept of the most dangerous non theropod creature I think it should have a similar taming method to elephants IRL, So the the first thing you want to do is discipline the creature. You discipline the creature by shooting its limbs. Doing so will make the creature fall to the ground so you can feed it with the preferred food being an omnivore that could be basically anything thats edible,but better stay on your feet because caging the creature will result in some interesting responses as the creature will constantly try to deceive you. It will play its fall and when you would feed it you would be met with claws each time you fall for its tricks the taming effectiveness will go down but you can use plant z to flash and scare the creature thus making it stand up. This makes the harder way more rewarding while not being the only option. I hope you like my suggestion for the deinocheirus and help me get this incredible creature to the game
  8. Reason Aberration is an incredible map, with beautiful biomes and and treacherous terrain. Aside from Rock Drakes, not many Aberration creatures can travel the different biomes without the use of a cryopod. That's where the Simocyon comes in. Creature Info Simocyon batalleri is an extinct relative of the Red Panda, belonging to the family Ailuridae, which lived in the late Miocene and early Pliocene across Europe, Asia, North America and Africa. Like the Red Panda, simocyon was an adept climber, however, unlike the red panda, Simocyon was predatory, and had the same false thumb Giant Pandas use to hold bamboo. Additionally, some researchers have suggested that Simocyon had the same kind of bone-crushing bite a hyena. They grew to a similar size to the modern-day cougar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simocyon https://carnivora.net/simocyon-batalleri-t350.html Wild Living in the fertile depths of the Mushroom Forest and River Valley, Simocyon is completely at home amongst the redwood trees and rocky cliffs. They use their dexterous hands to grab their prey, and incapacitate them with their bone-crushing bites. A careful predator, Simocyon will not attack survivors unless provoked in some way. With their powerful limbs and thumb-like claws, they have no issue scaling steep surfaces. They can jump higher than similar-sized creatures, and are able to run in a "skipping" motion, bounding upwards on their two rear legs before landing on their front limbs at increasingly greater speeds the longer they run for. The Simocyon can grab live prey in its hands, and sit back onto its back legs while biting the unfortunate creature. Taming To befriend a Simocyon, the survivor must trap them in a bear trap, and feed it rare mushrooms. This will enrage the creature, and and others of its kind nearby, whilst also increasing the creature's torpor. Once it breaks free of the trap, the survivor must not harm it, and try to survive its furious attacks before trapping it again. This process is repeated until the Simocyon falls unconscious, where it can then be fed to tame. Domesticated A domesticated Simocyon is the ideal travel-mount for crossing the green and blue zones of Aberration. With its climbing abilities and vicious bite, Simocyon can get just about anywhere, and has the strength to fend of small-to-medium opponents. This creature can run along zip lines and vines with ease. Using the Simocyon's special bone-crushing bite ability, the rider can give wild and enemy creatures a slowing effect that reduces the speed of their movement. Additionally, a tamed Simocyon can grab smaller creatures and players when ridden, and either hold them in place while the captured creature is tamed; or, deal savage bites to the captive enemy. Attacks LMB: Slash attack (faster, less damage) RMB: Bite attack (slower, more damage - hold for 5 seconds to do bone-crushing bite) C-Key: Grab attack Saddle Unlocking As a mid-game tame, the saddle should be available around Level 37
  9. Hello Survivors! My submission is the Eudibamus, a primeval Permian reptile that had the peculiarity of walking on its hind legs. However, compared to the original, the Ark variant of the Eudibamus is not a 20 cm tall lizard, It was enlarged by me a few meters for the game so that it better fits the special characteristics that I thought about for the animal! But what traits might this lizard have, that would make it a fun and unique addition to Ark? Wild The Eudibamus is relatively rare, you can find them everywhere, but always in small groups. On the other hand, the Eudibamus is easy to recognize because of its very colorful coloring, which warns other creatures that they are poisonous. This is also the reason why wild species of this genus are not attacked by other creatures without reason. Except for Seekers, who have a hatred for the Eudibamus. Eudibamus himself is also passive towards everything. But when they are attacked anyway, or are fed by a player, they shake out their venom once, and then jump to the nearest wall, and hang there until they feel safe, or are fed/attacked again. Then they do the same process again. How to tame: And speaking of feeding: the Eudibamus is a passive tame! You can tame him by feeding him pretty much everything. But watch out! You must wear gloves because of its toxic skin. Regardless of whether they are leather, metal, etc... break after feeding it once. Breeding works by default for the Eudibamus. But breeders will still be happy because the Eudibamus has a wide variety of colors that you can breed as you want! Whether from single-colored glittering blue-toned specimens, to very diverse colorful patterned ones. Domesticated Ability: charged jump I think none of us can have enough travel opportunities, right? Because of this, the Eudibamus has a chargeable jump that allows you to cover a distance very quickly, both in the distance and in the height. In addition, the animal can use its claws to hold on to walls, cliffs, large trees, etc... similar to the Tapejara. In order to jump further from there. I find this a form of locomotion that is useful and fun at the same time, and also different from the Beelzebufo and the Procoptodon. And it would probably also be good to know that the Eudibamus has a double seat on which one of your tribe members can sit behind you. Abilities: Poison But what really makes him stand out are his poison abilities, which, in addition to the interesting PvP gameplay, can also get a lot out of the new Unreal Engine. Because the Eudibamus is a highly poisonous animal, which not only can poison you if you touch it, but also has a special attack in which the lizard shakes out a lot of poison in a small radius. This attack can be used not only on the ground, but also during the jump, in the air. In this case, the Unreal Engine plays a big role in making everything look dynamic and beautiful. Eudibamus' Own Poison, Provides blindness and damage over time to enemy players and creatures when hit by the poison, or passed through poison still on the ground. But depending on which poison you feed him, the effect and variety of his poison can change for a while. However, new poisons will be added to the game as items that can be dropped with a rare chance by aberrant creatures. Here is the list of all the venom that can be dropped from the creatures and what effects the poison of Eudibamus has on them: -All aberrant semi-aquatic creatures: Decreases the damage of poisoned victims -All Armored Aberrant Herbivores: Increases Stamina drain of poisoned victims -All Aberrant Land Carnivores: Increases damage income of poisoned victims -All Mammals: Gives the poisoned victims a bleeding effect -All Aberrant Insects, Snakes, etc.: Destroys the armor of the human victims and inflicts stun on the poisoned creatures -All unarmored aberrant herbivores: Greatly reduces the carrying capacity of poisoned victims -All aberrant birds (except dodo): decreases the speed of poisoned victims -All aberrant flying reptiles: Damage and prevents the ability to jump -All Aquatic Aberrant Animals: Allows poisoned victims to breathe underwater but suffocate on land -Aberrant dodo: Makes every poisoned victim poop continuously Beside of this it can lift a big amount of weight and will have a default bite, to defend himself, when his poison is on cooldown. I also don't want to add to many abilities, because i don't want to make him OP. I think Eudibamus has the potential to be a nice and funny mid-tier addition to Aberration! And because this voting is a community voting, I would like if you could let some addition in the comments below (for example, there are a lot of small details, I didn't write about) so wildcard can be sure to create a real community creature, with the help of you comments! Assuming the Eudibamus wins This Dossier will show you a picture of this cute, colorful lizard:
  10. Nyctereutes Donnezani (Raccoon dog) Nyctereutes Donnezani is an extinct relative of the Raccoon Dog. -Nocturnal -Glowing eyes -Foragers _seeds, eggs, -Great swimmers can dive for meals -Usually seen in pairs or small groups -Mews when friendly and growls when frightened -Omnivore -Short-Tempered -Can have rabies -Capable of living with humans Wild: Nyctereutes is among one of the few omnivores found in this area. Nyctos means "night" and ereuna means "seeking." These creatures are nocturnal and are normally seen in pairs or small groups. Can hear them ‘mewing’ to each other at times as a sort of friendly banter. Usually not aggressive but will growl to warn off danger. Can become protective and territorial of other Nyctereutes. Aggressive when in danger. Stubby like stature means this creature has slower mobility, but still has a ferocious bite - careful of getting infected with rabies! Damage is doubled in packs. Have multiple coats, allowing them to survive in a massive array of temperatures. They can be found in swampy, marsh areas or in the freezing cold and here they will have a light-colored coat to camouflage from predators. Can be found burrowed underground, in caves, or foraging in trees. If survivor builds crops near a Nyctereutes, they will aggro and destroy the nearby plots if not properly protected and/or steal crop products (berries, fruit, veggies). Domesticated: Like most creatures, Nyctereutes do not seek out human interaction. However, they are capable of living with humans and even becoming a loyal companion. Are small enough to be a shoulder mount. With glowing eyes and ears, they are a great source of charge light. Despite being small and stocky, Nyctereutes are great divers and foragers - bringing back items for the survivor such as seeds, eggs, fish, crops, etc. Taming Ideas: • With pelt - large amounts, passively dropping (similar to Gacha) or maybe through tranquillizing using pelt in inventory to keep them warm and torpor high (but will become aggressive when tranqed and aggro nearby Nyctereutes, multiplying rabies risk) torpor would drain quickly • With fertilized Beelzebufo eggs, passively May become hostile, but will not do much damage and will not affect taming effectiveness. Will eventually become passive until next “feeding” • Not tame-able with kibble • Only tame-able at night (nocturnal) • Nyctereutes found in snowy regions will be hibernating and have to be lured out by means of nearby veggies planted in an accessible crop plot. Once lured, they will be available to tame. Possible Abilities: - Can pickpocket items - Infecting intruders with Rabies - Inventory capable of crafting simple or basic kibbles or just used for large storage/refrigeration - Enhance survivor's Fortitude - Night-vision - Charge light - Can make jerky with correct ingredients. However, is able to eat meat. These are just my ideas so feel free to give your opinions/ideas ❤️ IRL info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyctereutes_donnezani Used Ark Dossier Editable Template in Photoshop with toggled icons (taming and size reference) All artwork is my own - drawn in Procreate {chaoticxcoop}
  11. Smok - Was a type of large predatory archosaur living in the late Triassic in modern Europe. Its fossils come from sediments in the brickyard in Lisowice near Lubliniec, dated to the turn of the Norian and Rhaetian (205-200 million years). Measuring 5-6 m in length, of which nearly 50-60 cm was the skull, it was one of the largest Triassic archosaurs. "Smok" shows some features in theropods, rauisuchians and more primitive archosaurs. Omnivore Wild Smok will spawn near rivers and more infected aberration biome, where he will hide between rocks or in water .Using his glowing scales he will be able to charm other animals or players to come to his location slowly. You can escape the charm of smok by Eating an Aquatic Mushroom or Auric Mushroom depending if it would be found as Water type or Abberated Type. Taming To Tame This Gentleman You have to bring creatures to him, he will then devour them. The Bigger the animal or the bigger the level of the animal the more percentege in taming it will have. You also have to bring diffrent kinds of mushrooms because Smok will charm you too if you are not carefull with him, also between animals Smok might consider wanting a random type of mushroom because he is a picky eater. Tamed Water Type - He Gets Unlimited Oxygen underwater plus gets Boost to Damage and Speed near Water . His attacks also Give Bleed effect just like Allo.(More like an Archosaur) Abbilitys: His First abbility: Jaw Breaker- His Jaws Open Wide and Do A LOT OF DAMAGE and does bonus damage to all structures and animals underwater. Second Abbility: Super Tail- His Tail Starts To vibrate which cause All Nearby Agressive Creatures to Turn peacefull for 15 Sec. The Cool down for abbility is 30sec. Third Abbility -Roar! Abberated Type- With Being On Radiation comes Props of course . This type of Smok Is Getting Buffed on Radiated Biome and Surface in Strength and Protecion But Also Gets and Abbility to Climb Walls and Diffrent Surfaces with extreme speed. His Bite unlike His Water Brothers is Poisonous which helps with stronger creature cause it avoid any type of armor For Example Reapers.(As a More Theropod Like Dino) Abbilitys: His First abbility: Jaw Breaker- His Jaws Open Wide and Do A LOT OF DAMAGE and does bonus damage to all animals with More Strength . Second Abbility: Wall Run- His Claws Starts To stick to all surfaces which help him get around "Abberation". Third Abbility -Roar! 12. GIGANTORAPTOR HAS WON! Thanks to everyone for the whopping support, I can't wait to see my big old bird child in ASA! All I need is for it to stay fluffy! Hopefully a large portion of mechanics can translate over too, if WC can find a way to balance them correctly. Yes, semi-automatic imprinting is strong, but I never liked the idea of turning a video game into a chore. ----- The Battle Nanny is back! Seeing as the concept was so well liked last time the creature contest was around, why not try my hand at bringing it back! Gigantoraptor would be a breeder's best friend, offering an improvement for play no matter the gamemode! With wild dino babies, breeding management QOL and various other features coming to ASA, the addition of this creature could really improve the lives of so many dedicated breeders! Again, not all mechanics are guaranteed, however, WC seems to preserve general vibes of the creatures submitted to these contests, and given how even Rhynio shares mechanics with its fan concept, I don't think it's too outlandish to see G-raptor share some too! I feel I've done my best to balance the creature through rigorous feedback to fit both PvP and PvE play! Lots of the previous contest winners have been all about combat and damage, and while I love me a good, dirty carnivore, it'd be nice to see the focus shift onto a more utility focused omnivore! Table of Contents 1. Artwork 2. Dossier Text 3. Potential Base Stats and Spawning 4. Taming - OSD Styled Nest Defence - Egg Steal 5. Abilities and Controls - Controls - Abilities - Gigantoraptor's Imprinting - Saddle 6. Supplementary Links Artwork MASSIVE THANK YOU to ZCI5250 for creating a fully fledged dossier for Gigantoraptor! ZCI is an incredible artist and an even more incredible friend, and I'm beyond happy to see how much the community is enjoying my submission in this contest! Hopefully this time we'll get to see Gigantoraptor come to ASA! I'll be putting my original concept art in the Supplementary Links. My concept is still near and dear to my heart, so it'll still be on this post, as it's what got me to where I am as an artist today, and sparked my passion for ARK modding and creature design! Gigantoraptor would join the Yutyrannus, being a fully feathered medium-large theropod! It would also have dramatic sexual dimorphism, males sporting huge display feathers on their shoulders and elaborate patterns on their tail fans. This would make it really stand out among the other theropods in the game, bringing something new to a group of dinosaurs usually shown as mostly scaly, combat oriented creatures in ARK. Yes, this creature has combat prowess, but it's far from your usual bruiser/chomper you're used to seeing in ARK, it's a fully fledged battle "bird"! With the graphical and technical upgrades we could expect from ASA in UE5, a large, fully feathered creature like Gigantoraptor would look incredible! I'd love to see how detailed and dynamic feathering would look with improved textures. Could you imagine seeing the weight of its big coat of feathers as this giant stomps around? Interestingly enough, there actually aren't any other dinosaurs (I mean the grouping, not creatures in general) in the game that would share the "omnivore" diet with Gigantoraptor! So I guess it's kinda unique in what it eats too! Its colour palette is based off of the Forest Red Tailed Black Cockatoo! This Australian species of cockatoo is found nowhere else, and while it definitely fits a desert theme, both the cassowary and cockatoo inspirations of the creature would fit perfectly into the redwoods as well! Dossier Common Name : Gigantoraptor Species : Gigantoraptor regalimaia Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : Omnivore Temperament : Loyal Wild Gigantoraptor is quite the peculiar theropod. With formidable claws and strong kicking legs, this Allosaurus sized theropod almost appears like an apex predator. However, in most cases, this doting parent is never seen far from its mate and clutch of eggs. Their bond seems to run far deeper than any other species I’ve observed, as whenever they perceive their brood to be in danger, it manifests into a rush of adrenaline colloquially dubbed “Mother’s Fury”. This allows them to grapple with threats far larger than other animals their size! I guess there’s nothing more powerful than a mother’s love! Domesticated Short of the incredibly dangerous task of stealing an egg from the nest, it seems the best way to gain the trust of these parents is to lend a hand! Nesting individuals tend to get quite hungry, spending so much energy protecting their brood, so will happily accept food from humans. However, predators will take their chance to steal an egg while they eat. One must defend the nest from these pesky foes, but once these are dispelled, your efforts will be rewarded! Both parents will happily follow you home, trusting someone who cares just as much about their young. Gigantoraptor make for the perfect nursery aid, as their naturally protective nature extends to any egg or newborn, even of vastly different species! I’ve even noticed them playing with all manner of babies, imprinting them with the scent of their owners! Some tribes go so far as utilising teams of Procoptodon to carry babies into the battlefield to power up their Gigantoraptors, activating a “Mother’s Fury” to turn the tide of battle! Potential Base Stats and Spawning Health: 750 Stamina: 275 Oxygen: 150 Food: 3000 Weight: 380 Melee Damage: See "Abilities and Controls" section for base damage values Torpidity: 950 Gigantoraptor would always spawn in mate boosted pairs, with both individuals being the same level. One member of the pair would randomly be assigned to sit on top of a nest structure, while the other moves freely about nearby. Ragnarok offers a variety of habitats that Gigantoraptor would fit right into, lush canyons, dense redwoods and the desert oases would all be prime locations for these protective parents to live! Taming Gigantoraptor has two taming methods, each offering its own advantages and disadvantages: - Mostly conventional egg steal (boooring!) - OSD styled nest defence! OSD Style Nest Defence: This unique taming method would require you to offer a meal to the hungry parent sitting on the nest. This part of the taming method would function like a conventional passive tame. The foods that Gigantoraptor would accept, in order of preference, are Superior Kibble, Raw Mutton, Raw Prime Meat, Crops, etc etc., though I could see it requiring Exceptional kibble given its powerful abilities. Being a small survivor, you're able to approach the nest on foot, as the doting parents don't see you as a threat... however don't run right in! Rushing towards the nest might aggravate the parents, so calmly walk up to the nesting individual to avoid spooking them, and feed them to start the taming process. While you are passive taming the parent, pesky predators will start to appear. Small creatures like Oviraptors, Troodons and Dilos will frequently be appearing (spawning in) to try to break into the nest and steal the eggs inside. Similar to Megachelon taming, you'll have to dispatch of these predators before they get a chance to attack the nest! Rarely, comparatively larger predators like Raptors, Titanoboa or even Carnos may appear to try their luck! Thankfully, the mate of the seated Gigantoraptor will assist you in battling these creatures, becoming temporarily allied to you for a time much like Carchar taming! Dispatch of the thieves attacking the nest with new your bird-like friend to complete the taming! However, be careful not to let the seated Gigantoraptor take too much damage! The damage from these predators won't only ruin your taming effectiveness, but can cause the mother and father will turn on you. The distraction of food took their attention away from its nest for too long, and they don't take kindly to anything threatening their babies! The advantage of such a difficult taming method is that, after all is said and done, you'll be getting two tamed Gigantoraptor! Both individuals will become tamed to you after you successfully protect the seated Gigantoraptor, giving you instant access to a (hopefully) well statted breeding pair! The nest will be destroyed after successful taming in this way though, so you won't get the egg.* With the AI improvements coming to wild dinos in ASA, I feel like this style of taming will be both more enjoyable and more rewarding. It'll really feel like you're fighting alongside a wild beast to earn its trust! Egg Steal: Unlike most other egg steal tames, Gigantoraptor eggs are not found in the overworld. Instead, they must be directly looted from the nest structure, like looting a beaver dam. This will force the player to have to remain stationary and make stealing the egg much more risky! In addition, these angry parents will stop at nothing to see you dead, staying aggressive even after they've killed you! This unique egg mechanic is to prevent the egg from simply being taken after taming the parents OSD style. *For handwavy lore reasons, this nest is a bit of a shrodinger's nest. Why would such devoted parents leave behind their baby to follow this human? Obviously it's because there wasn't actually an egg in the nest yet, this couple only just got their roots down. At least that's how I'd explain this balancing in non-game-mechanic terms. As another option, it could make more sense if the mate pair awarded you with a single egg for your efforts, again this is up to WC's discretion. Abilities and Controls I've considered applications for both PvP and PvE play with the Gigantoraptor. While I have done my best to balance them for official play, please note these are only potential ideas, and the Gigantoraptor’s mechanics could always be balanced according to what WC sees fit. Firstly, it would join the Maewing and Procoptodon as a valuable nursery aid, functioning like a blend of an Air Conditioner and the S+ Nanny*, incubating eggs dropped near it, feeding babies too young to eat from troughs and helping to imprint on growing dinosaurs by completing cuddle interval requests. Of course, it would require the relevant food and imprinting comfort foods for these respective actions. For example, if a baby asked for Prime Meat Jerky as comfort food, it would require Prime Meat Jerky to successfully raise imprinting percent. In addition, both wild and tamed Gigantoraptor will receive a buff when near fertile eggs and babies (any growth stage from baby - adolescent) of all species, Mother’s Fury. This buff will increase their damage resistance and damage output by 20%, and increase their speed by 10% and decrease their stamina usage by 10%. Not only will this help in the defence of nurseries from enemy factions trying to kill or steal babies, but it could also synergise with Procoptodons! By bringing baby creatures into the battlefield, the Gigantoraptor could gain an increase to their combat abilities as long as there are living babies nearby! The reason for this outlandish concept/synergy is to reward interesting strategy/play and to give some use for all those breedjects... alongside continuing the running gag of how baby creatures are treated in ARK. We stomp on them for XP, sacrifice them to things like Troodons and Carchars to tame them, and mass murder them when they don't get that stat mutation we wanted. Bringing them onto the battlefield as "ammunition" for a giant cassowary nanny's signature ability is the least of the horrors! And with wild babies spawning in ASA, if you're lucky you may not even need to bring your own powerups, you'll find them wandering around nearby! *An important thing to note here is, S+ and other similar mods could take time to update to ASA. This would mean people potentially wouldn't have access to the structures for a bit of time. Having a creature that, if the abilities were to come in the final concept, fills those roles would be highly useful and may even suit some people's playstyles more! Everyone benefits from not having to sit there and fulfill cuddle timers, it's not a skill based thing, just a massive time sink. The balance just comes in the fact that you'd still need to provide it with potentially every cuddle food option for your creatures, alongside more balance options touched on in the "Gigantoraptor's Imprinting" section. In terms of controls: Left Click : A double claw swipe. Hits twice for 30 base damage each swing. While slow-ish, its big AOE makes it great for dealing with larger targets or small groups! This can harvest meat. Right Click : A powerful kick that deals heavy knockback. The lower the drag weight of the target is compared to the Gigantoraptor, the further it gets knocked back! 25 base damage. This attack can also be performed while jumping. For how the jumping kick could look, looking at how cassowaries kick things would be a good, but terrifying, reference! C : A simple peck attack, that hits much faster than the claw swipe and is better suited to dealing with singular targets. 35 base damage. Harvests berries Spacebar : Basic Jump X : Roar/Taunt, the Gigantoraptor will flare its tail feathers and give a shrill cry. Purely cosmetic. In terms of abilities: Tamed Gigantoraptor can be told to sit via the radial menu. When sitting down, a short animation of digging a nest plays, and once seated it functions like an air conditioner and incubates eggs. (with the existence of the egg incubator and creatures like Dimetrodon, I feel like this mechanic will be a little bit less needed, and isn't as important if it doesn't make the cut were Gigantoraptor to win) With its big fluffy coat of feathers, eggs aren't the only thing it can incubate... While riding a Gigantoraptor, you'll receive a moderate boost to your insulative stats! This will make it a useful transport mount that can defend you from the wildlife and the weather! Something like +200 Hyperthermal and Hypothermal seems reasonable to me (for reference the Basilosaurus gives a whopping +562 to both stats) Seated Gigantoraptor are also able to imprint nearby dinos! See "Gigantoraptor's Imprinting" below for a more in depth look at the mechanics behind this game changing feature Gigantoraptor are the only creature attentive enough to notice when a Maewing is swooping in to steal babies! Babies nearby a Gigantoraptor will be completely immune to being stolen by Maewings, offering some counterplay to the kidnapping marsupial/monotreme/hybrid thing! This will function as an anti-theft AOE around the creature. I've been told that people don't generally use the Maewing's theft ability, but it always felt odd that something so powerful as stealing someone's breedline had no real counterplay other than "build a wall" (that could be broken down). Gigantoraptor's Imprinting: Balancing the imprinting is quite a tough one! As I mentioned above, imprinting isn't skill based, just time consuming. The point of the mechanic on Gigantoraptor is to just make it so that people don't have to be wasting time watching their pixel dinosaurs when they could do other things. Breeding is one of those necessary, but highly laborious and monotonous activities people will have to do in game. I don't think it's fun or fair that you have to be waking up every few hours to log on just to hit "E" on your growing baby because you want those extra stats. A vanilla balanced version of the S+ Nanny would save people so much time, especially for people on official who won't have access to crossplatform mods! However, automatic imprinting all the way to 100% would be very powerful, especially if you could fit a bunch of babies into the imprinting range. But, on the other hand, having the automatic imprint cap out at a certain percentage, even with lots of stat investment, nullifies the whole point of leaving one out there to do its job of imprinting if a player still needs to interact in some way (other than comfort food refuels). There's two options I can think of: Something that could apply to both of these options is a limit on what Gigantoraptor can imprint, decided by level. Simply put, it can't imprint something that's higher level than it, meaning you're gonna have to mutate your feathered friend up alongside whatever mega beast you want to breed! Option 1: Imprinting would remain the same as the original concept. Gigantoraptor simply needs to be loaded up with comfort foods and the like, and will imprint all babies in its range to complete 100% imprint. Only limit is how many babies you can fit into its range of effect, and the amount of comfort food stored in its inventory (wants to cuddle/wants to walk would just be automatic). Option 2: Imprint quality could be capped by a "Imprinting Quality" stat, functioning either like Gacha's mutatable crafting skill, or Maewing's "tamed level up only" nursing range ability. This would mean that a growing baby would still require additional input from a player to achieve the 100% imprint, unless the Gigantoraptor in question had been sufficiently levelled up. I think the best course of action would be to have this be a tamed stat to level up, but to make it possible to reach 100% imprint by levelling up this stat. Maybe it requires 50 points pumped in, maybe all tamed levels, who knows. But having it have no way to fully imprint a creature makes it a lot less useful. In terms of a cap to the amount of babies that Gigantoraptor could imprint at the same time, perhaps this could scale with the Imprint Quality stat, or even the level of the animal? One Gigantoraptor would have a certain number of babies that could be assigned to it to be imprinted. This could be something like 5-10 at base, but higher level/higher pumped Gigantoraptor are able to imprint more babies at once, incentivising the taming and levelling up of strong "imprinter" Gigantoraptor. I have received feedback before that, at the end of the day, imprinting on unofficial just isn't an issue. However, as a potential idea for WC to expand on Gigantoraptor's imprinting abilities, what if it could provide bonuses to a creature after it grows up? The way I see imprinting, it's creatures feeling empowered fighting alongside the ones that raised them, which gives a boost to their will to fight. It could be interesting if grown dinos near the Gigantoraptor that raised them got an additional buff that boosted damage and damage resistance by 20% or so. Again this is just a potential idea, stacking another way to resist and deal damage on top of imprint and the Yuty roar could get a bit much, but could offer you more incentive to tame up a new feathered friend! Hopefully these options provide enough of a framework for WC to make the decision on what would fit best in game, if the concept were to win in round 2! In terms of saddle: I wanted to avoid giving Gigantoraptor a baby carrying saddle like the Maewing to avoid overlapping niches too much, and encouraging synergistic play when using it in a combat setting. However, after some thought and feedback (editing a concept based on useful information? Preposterous!), I feel it would benefit the concept. Maewing won't be coming to ASA, according to the roadmap, until 2024, so one of the more useful breeding creatures would not be present for a very long time, so giving some baby carrying capacity to Gigantoraptor seems appropriate. The saddle would also make using the "Mother's Fury" buff a little easier, as well as making it harder to steal a baby from under its watch (regardless of the maewing anti-theft aoe). To make it not completely invalidate the Maewing though, it would only be able to hold one baby, and won't be stealing any children any time soon! This is, again, one of the many things in the submission that is up to WC's discretion. Supplementary Links Size reference for real-world Gigantoraptor (the thing is huge!). Art by Gabriel N. 13. name cambroraster falcatus time period cambrian temperament neutral diet omnivore abilities none I feel like there are too many animals with gimmicks so I figure we should just add one for ambience. The cambroraster will swim around and is a source of chitin and fish meat but is otherwise useless. This creature should be added because I think it would really stand out from the competition and it is a good looking animal that is not well known and I think ARK: Survival Evolved should really focus on educating the public about prehistoric life as the gamers of today are the scientists of tomorrow. Thank you for reading my submission and I hope you have a good day

  15. I am not good at English, so there may be some strange sentences. Excuse me. (私は英語が苦手なため、おかしな文章があるかもしれません。すいません。) I propose "Fukuivenator", a dinosaur excavated in Japan. This dinosaur lived in Japan 127 to 115 million years ago, and is now considered a member of the primitive Therizinosaur. It also appears to have been more carnivorous than Therizinosaur. (私は、日本で発掘された恐竜「フクイヴェナトル」を提案します。この恐竜は、1億2700万年〜1億1500万年前の日本に生息しており、現在は原始的なテリジノサウルスの仲間とされています。テリジノサウルスよりも肉食傾向が強かったようです。) The actual length is said to be about 2.4m, but larger would be nice if adding to the ARK. (現実での全長は約2.4mだとされていますが、ARKに追加されるならば、私はもっと大きな方が良いと思っています。) wild (野生) Fukuivenator occurs mainly in grasslands and forests, but can also appear in snowy fields. They are fully feathered like Yutyrannus, and although larger than Raptor, Therizinosaur is slightly smaller than. (フクイヴェナトルは、主に草原や森林に現れますが、雪原にも現れることがあります。フクイヴェナトルはユウティラヌスのように全身が羽毛で覆われており、ユタラプトルよりは大きいですが、テリジノサウルスよりも少しだけ小さいです。) Fukuivenator is ferocious, but doesn't aggressively attack like other carnivores. However, it attacks from a farther distance than Therizinosaur. However, by equipping ghillie equipment, you can approach them unnoticed. However, if you touch them, they will notice you. In addition, it will be attacked by REX and Yutyrannus, but nullifies the terror roar of Yutyrannus and gains the same effect as the roar of ally Yutyrannus. (フクイヴェナトルは凶暴ですが、他の肉食生物のように積極的には襲ってきません。しかし、テリジノサウルスよりは遠くから襲ってきます。しかし、ギリー装備を装備することで、彼らに気付かれずに近付くことができます。ただし、触れてしまうと気付かれてしまいます。また、ティラノサウルスやユウティラヌスに襲われてしまいますが、ユウティラヌスによる恐怖の咆哮を無効化し、味方のユウティラヌスの咆哮による恩恵と同じ効果を得ます。) Taming (テイム) The Fukuivenator can be tamed by putting it in a coma. However, they are covered in feathers, which reduces bullet damage and negates the effects of Tranq Arrow and Tranquilizer Dart. Wooden Clubs and boomerang are effective, but not recommended.   16. Nyctereutes Donnezani (Raccoon dog) Nyctereutes Donnezani is an extinct relative of the Raccoon Dog. -Nocturnal -Glowing eyes -Foragers _seeds, eggs, -Great swimmers can dive for meals -Usually seen in pairs or small groups -Mews when friendly and growls when frightened -Omnivore -Short-Tempered -Can have rabies -Capable of living with humans Wild: Nyctereutes is among one of the few omnivores found in this area. Nyctos means "night" and ereuna means "seeking." These creatures are nocturnal and are normally seen in pairs or small groups. Can hear them ‘mewing’ to each other at times as a sort of friendly banter. Usually not aggressive but will growl to warn off danger. Can become protective and territorial of other Nyctereutes. Aggressive when in danger. Stubby like stature means this creature has slower mobility, but still has a ferocious bite - careful of getting infected with rabies! Damage is doubled in packs. Have multiple coats, allowing them to survive in a massive array of temperatures. They can be found in swampy, marsh areas or in the freezing cold and here they will have a light-colored coat to camouflage from predators. Can be found burrowed underground, in caves, or foraging in trees. If survivor builds crops near a Nyctereutes, they will aggro and destroy the nearby plots if not properly protected and/or steal crop products (berries, fruit, veggies). Domesticated: Like most creatures, Nyctereutes do not seek out human interaction. However, they are capable of living with humans and even becoming a loyal companion. Are small enough to be a shoulder mount. With glowing eyes and ears, they are a great source of charge light. Despite being small and stocky, Nyctereutes are great divers and foragers - bringing back items for the survivor such as seeds, eggs, fish, crops, etc. Taming Ideas: • With pelt - large amounts, passively dropping (similar to Gacha) or maybe through tranquillizing using pelt in inventory to keep them warm and torpor high (but will become aggressive when tranqed and aggro nearby Nyctereutes, multiplying rabies risk) torpor would drain quickly • With fertilized Beelzebufo eggs, passively May become hostile, but will not do much damage and will not affect taming effectiveness. Will eventually become passive until next “feeding” • Not tame-able with kibble • Only tame-able at night (nocturnal) • Nyctereutes found in snowy regions will be hibernating and have to be lured out by means of nearby veggies planted in an accessible crop plot. Once lured, they will be available to tame. Possible Abilities: - Can pickpocket items - Infecting intruders with Rabies - Inventory capable of crafting simple or basic kibbles or just used for large storage/refrigeration - Enhance survivor's Fortitude - Night-vision - Charge light - Can make jerky with correct ingredients. However, is able to eat meat. These are just my ideas so feel free to give your opinions/ideas ❤️ IRL info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyctereutes_donnezani Used Ark Dossier Editable Template in Photoshop with toggled icons (taming and size reference) All artwork is my own - drawn in Procreate {chaoticxcoop}
  17. TO THE REPOSTERS OUT THERE: Gigantoraptor will return for future contests! If I think my concept will fit thematically, I will very much be posting it again. 2nd place in the whole of the ark community is no small feat! It also indicates to me people really want the creature in game! Expect to see it return for an Extinction, Genesis 1/2 or heck, a The Center themed vote (if the theme suits it of course). Either or, I'm very happy with the results of the vote, Fasolasuchus is going to be an awesome addition! If you wish to repost this thread in future contests, please make sure you are properly crediting myself and ZCI5250. All the information you need is right here and should be relatively easy to copy/paste through. If you've reposted and want access to high quality versions of the dossier art and reference material please feel free to reach out on Twitter, same name as my account here. I can also give tips and such on how to put in multiple images and the like. I'd really like to avoid a Bastion Beetle situation happening with my concept, meaning having someone gut my concept entirely and try to pass it off as their own. If you have a separate idea for a Gigantoraptor, by all means, you are free to post it, but if you're thinking of reposting any of the concepts in the Top 10 for future votes, please be mindful of the original authors, and the time they spent creating art, interesting mechanics and the like for their creatures. Don't be plagiarising other people's art and ideas! It's really not cool. Gigantoraptor returns for another creature contest! With the promises of Dino/Baby management QOL in ASA, alongside the theme of the contest being Scorched Earth, this ultimate nanny of an oviraptor fits right in! In addition, Gigantoraptor was one of the many shelved concepts that Dave Melvin (the old dossier artist) shared quite some time ago, meaning that it was already planned to be added in some way or another into the main game! I am well aware that it's never promised that all of a creature's mechanics will get in. However, I've noticed that WC tends to keep the general vibe of the submitted creature when it comes to the game, in the form of at least one shared mechanic. In addition, I've done my best to try to balance the mechanics of the creature as much as possible. I'd be more than happy if the creature got in with most of its nanny themed abilities, in addition to its unique baby-based ability to turn the tide of battle! Enough talk though! Let's jump into the concept! Table of Contents 1. Artwork 2. Dossier Text 3. Potential Base Stats and Spawning 4. Taming - OSD Styled Nest Defence - Egg Steal 5. My concept is still near and dear to my heart, so it'll still be on this post, as it's what got me to where I am as an artist today, and sparked my passion for ARK modding and creature design! THIS IS MEANT TO BE A CREATURE A LITTLE BIGGER THAN ALLOSAURUS. I realise the dossier's human-to-scale has confused a few folks thinking the thing is gonna be absolutely massive, it's not intended to be that big! Just Allosaurus height at the shoulder, maybe a little shorter than a Rex with the neck Gigantoraptor would join the Yutyrannus, being a fully feathered medium-large theropod! This Australian species of cockatoo is found nowhere else, and let's be honest with ourselves, Scorched Earth is really just ARK: Australia Evolved. What would fit better on that map than a giant cassowary/cockatoo oviraptor? Dossier Text Common Name : Gigantoraptor Species : Gigantoraptor regalimaia Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : Omnivore Temperament : Loyal Wild Gigantoraptor is quite the peculiar theropod. I personally think that they'd fit best into the oases and valleys of Scorched Earth, but I could see them also being found in the forests around the bases of the mountains. This vote may be Scorched Earth themed, but Gigantoraptor's thick coat of feathers would help them stay insulated from the temperatures of a variety of environments, meaning they could potentially be found on other maps. This would be up to WildCard's discretion though, and colour palettes/patterns may have to change depending on the map. In addition, both wild and tamed Gigantoraptor will receive a buff when near any fertile eggs and babies (any growth stage from baby - adolescent) of all species, Mother’s Fury. In addition, with wild babies coming to ASA, you may not even have to bring a baby to the fight, they'll just be around and allow you to power up! (with the existence of the egg incubator, I feel like this mechanic will be a little bit less needed, and isn't as important if it doesn't make the cut were Gigantoraptor to win) Seated Gigantoraptor are also able to imprint nearby dinos! There's two options I can think of: Option 1: Imprinting would remain the same as the original concept. 18. ▸Wild Ledumahadi are generally seen grazing and occasionally sharpening their claws by attacking rocks or trees. Ledumahadi are aggressively territorial against the carnivorous dinosaurs of the ARK. They become especially aggressive when their herd has babies, attacking anything that comes within their striking distance. ▸Domesticated Ledumahadi are sought after for their aggressive nature. These prosauropods are loyal to their survivors. While they may not be the biggest dino in the Ark, they are mighty, able to rear up and swipe at targets causing them to bleed. Ledu has a generic saddle that provides the dino some armour. They may also be fitted with a dual platform saddle to carry large amount of stuff from one location to another. Especially resources such as wood and stone. On it's own, Ledumahadi has a damage intake decrease similarly to Stegosaurus. They take less damage from dino attacks and some explosives. Ledumahadi are also somewhat omnivorous, able to eat meat if there is no other option. Because of this, meat and hide can be collected rather efficiently. ▸Taming Method To tame one you must gain it’s respect. When you approach the Ledumahadi will square up, you will be challenged by the dino to a on-foot melee fight. Once your duel starts you and the Ledu will take turns attacking, but be wary of the Thunderclap. It will stun you for 15 seconds giving the Ledu the advantage. You are able to deflect the stun attack by timing yours correctly. If you successfully deflect the Thunderclap you will gain taming affinity. At the end of the spar you will be able to feed the Ledu and finish taming it. ▸Uses ►Armour: Ledumahadi's hide is imbedded with tough osteoderms, these can be harvested from a Ledu's corpse and used in crafting recipes. A unique crafting recipe is "Osteoderm Armour". Unlike flak and Chitin armour, the Osteoderm Armour is more durable, lightweight and does not get too hot or cold. The armour pieces can only be crafted on the Ledu's platform saddle. Blueprints can never be found anywhere, so the only way to get better armour is to upgrade it via the platform saddle. Upgrading the armour, however, is resource heavy.(There is a cap to the upgrading) ► Weapon: Along with the armour, Ledu's claws can be harvested to make a unique weapon. "Ledu's Rake". While the name makes it sound like a garden tool, the rake is actually a rather powerful melee weapon with multiple uses. You will be able to harvest large amounts of wood and stone. By hitting the rocks and trees you are also sharpening the weapon, allowing it to deal more damage. Unlike other weapons, you must level the rake up to get higher durability. To level it up, similarly to chibis, you must kill alpha dinos with the rake. Once it levels up, it's durability and damage will increase and you will need to repair it. You can only repair Ledu's Rake on the platform saddle.(Repair is expensive and the level caps at 5) ▸Attacks: ►Sharpen Claws[Keybind: C]: Sharpen claws is an attack keybinded to C that will only damage Rocks and Trees. After attacking x amount of rocks you will gain a damage increase for 30 seconds. ►Swipe Attack [Keybind: LMB]: The swipe attack can only be used in the bipedal stance. This attack can be clicked and held to constantly swipe at the expense of turn radius and speed. [CTRL for bipedal stance] ►Thunderclap [Keybind X]: Thunderclap is a stun attack with a small radius. It lasts for 15 seconds. It will completely stop anything smaller than it and only slow down anything bigger than it. ►Bleed: Ledumadahi has the ability to bleed dinosaurs, however this is not a normal bleed attack. Ledu’s gnash is percentage based, and increases stamina drain. Once stamina is drained the target will begin to take 5% health over 10 seconds. (TLDR; Will only take bleed damage if you have no stamina). ►Tail Attack [Keybind: RMB]: A generic attack that causes moderate damage. (Art Made By Me)
  19. Previously posted with incorrect species name. Now has the correct name - Nyctereutes Donnezani - an extinct relative of the Nyctereutes Procyonoides (Raccoon Dog) - wiki link below Dossier: Nyctereutes is among one of the few omnivores found in this area. These creatures are nocturnal and normally found in pairs or small groups. Can hear them “mewing” at each other. Multiple coats allow for survival in extremely high and low temperatures. Usually not aggressive but will growl to warn off predators and will attack when harmed or in danger. Stubby-like stature means this creature has slower mobility but still has a ferocious bite - careful of getting infected with rabies. Like most creatures, Nyctereutes do not seek out human interaction. However, they are capable of living with humans and even becoming a loyal companion. Are small enough to be a shoulder mount. With glowing eyes and ears, they are a great source of charge light. Despite being small and stocky, Nyctereutes are great divers and foragers - bringing back items for the survivor such as seeds, eggs, fish, etc. Possible Abilities: - Infecting intruders with Rabies - Inventory capable of crafting simple or basic kibbles or just used for storage/refrigeration - Enhance survivor's Fortitude (Open for other opinions/ideas) IRL Info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyctereutes_donnezani
  20. Update: I have recently learned that the person behind the Ark Additions mod is close to finishing a Deinocheirus for his mod and it will be releasing soon, for his benefit dont upvote. I guess us console players gotta wait until august then Description and Abilities: In my opinion ark deserves a more powerful multi purpose creature, so let me introduce the Deinocheirus. The grand idea for Deinocheirus is more of a mid to late game tame for scorched earth that could be a beneficial due to the maps harsh climate and hostile creatures. This creature's most crucial feature will be its thick fur/feathering, which will provide the rider with an insulation buff as well as providing a natural damage resistance to the creature (nothing to broken probably 20-25%) but will provide heavy resistance towards wyvern breath attacks. If it come into contact with water it will produce a hydration buff that greatly reduces the need to drink. Another feature would be 3 separate attacks that provide 3 different purposes: 1. Bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries/fibre from bushes, thatch from trees and hide from bodies. 2. Claw swipe: a more brutal attack that can cause bleed (even to bosses) as well as having wood and meat harvesting capabilities. 3. Body slam: An extremely powerful attack with a cool down that Involves a jump and a wwe style move that deals massive damage, stun, aswell as dismounting. Its two final abilities will be a weight reduction for harvested items and the longer it runs the more speed it picks up. For the size I believe being slightly bigger than the Allosaurus should be a fair bet. Behaviour and Taming: The behaviour for a wild Deinocheirus should be similar to that of the dire bear, passive for a few moments than extremely aggressive with the intention of killing. The Taming for this creature should be passive and requires a certain animation to interact. The general idea is it will wonder for a while and proceed to sit it will open its mouth and start panting, once this happens you walk up to it and feed it water to hydrate it, the colder the water the greater the effectiveness. Location: The location of this creature will be around or near the green obelisk since its a nice beautiful area, with the added bonus of an alpha variant that spawns out in the dunes of the desert. With that all said and done, Good luck to all the creature submissions.
  21. Just so we're clear yossenoriallesaurus is pretty much yoshi but a little different , I thought it be a neat idea to have yoshi or a creature that looks like it in the game well at least in the switch version I mean , as an exclusive thing Some of you might be wondering why would this be an exclusive thing for the Nintendo switch , well I thought it would draw more people to the switch version of the game But make it different enough so that way Nintendo doesn't come after wildcard , which is why I chose yossenoriallesaurus as the name because it was different I think Yossenoriallesaurus does not have have turtle shell on its back but it can have a saddle that's made from those shell fragments you get from the megachelon , Now that think about it yoshi doesn't have turtle shell either I'm pretty sure it's a saddle but whatever Yossenoriallesaurus does not wear shoes it has regular dinosaur feet , but it's feet are a different color from the rest of it . Basically yossenoriallesaurus would have some of Yoshi's abilities but not all them . Yossenoriallesaurus can jump really high but it can't stay in the air like yoshi can . Yossenoriallesaurus does have a long and sticky tongue but can only swallow things small enough to fit in its mouth . Yossenoriallesaurus can't throw actual eggs but it can throw things that are oval shaped if that makes sense . Yossenoriallesaurus can't be tamed but it can be hatched and imprinted on , you can get eggs from yossenoriallesaurus if you feed enough things it wants to eat but it will be random from berries and veggies to meat and small dead creatures kind of like the moschops once yossenoriallesaurus has eaten enough it will lay an egg , the egg will be white with multicolor spots
  22. BASIC INFO Group: Mammal Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Docile WILD In the arid desert of Scorched Earth, the clever and resourceful Golden Jackal roams alone, often accompanied by a Jerboa perched on its head. The Jerboa serves not only as a helpful companion, assisting the jackal in finding food and providing additional protection, but also as a natural defense mechanism. Interestingly, most wild creatures will not attack a Golden Jackal with a Jerboa on its head, except for the formidable wyverns and rock elementals. In the event that the Jerboa is killed, the Golden Jackal becomes despondent and vengeful, relentlessly hunting down the perpetrator and engaging in honorable battles with the strongest foes it can find to restore its honor and reunite with its lost companion. TAMED The Golden Jackal, once tamed, can become a valuable asset for any desert explorer. When paired with certain creatures, such as vultures or hyenadons, it gains additional abilities, such as scouting for dangerous creatures or increasing the rate of passive taming. Similar to other creatures like the wolf, equis, and tropeognathus, it can be ridden without a saddle, but its true potential is unlocked when equipped with one. SADDLE The Golden Jackal's true potential is unlocked when equipped with a saddle that takes advantage of its unique bonding abilities with other creatures. This saddle has two baskets on each side for hyenadons, a perch on the back for vultures, and a flamethrower seat above the Jackal's head for a trained Jerboa to sit on and man at your command. With this saddle, the Golden Jackal becomes an even more powerful asset for scouting and combat. TAMING The Golden Jackal, unlike other creatures, has a unique taming method that requires the player to approach the wild jackal that lost it's Jerboa without any weapons drawn but with a tamed Jerboa on your shoulder. The jackal becomes curious and will approach the player, allowing itself to be tamed after a friendly interaction. Once tamed, the player can train the jackal to accept a Jerboa as a rider on its head, providing protection and additional advantages. However, taming the Golden Jackal without a weapon can be challenging as other predators may attack during the process. It is recommended that tamers bring other tamed creatures or wait for the right opportunity to ensure a successful taming. DROPS Hide Pelt Raw Meat ABILITIES Without saddle Left Click- Bite/ Smack (If there is a Jerboa on its head at the time it would probably do a kick animation or something) Right Click- Quickly turn around With saddle- Left Click- Bite/ Smack (Again the Jerboa would do an animation) Right Click- Send/ retrieve vulture to search for whatever you set it to find, if there is no bonded vulture, then you will quicky turn around instead C- Release bonded hyenadons to help you fight, press it again to make them return to the baskets X- Activate flamethrower, and like the Andrewsarchus you can move the flamethrower and the Jackal at the same time Spacebar- Jump. Just a generic jump. WEIGHT REDUCTION Anything that the jerboa, vulture or hyenadons are carrying, if the jackal is carrying them then the items they weigh 90% less Sand 50% Fiber 30% HARVESTING Berries Fiber Cactus sap Sand Meat of any kind Hide If you have any suggestions or ideas for the Golden Jackal, please mention them! 🦖🐕❤️

Another way to put him to sleep would be to soften his armor so that he can take damage from arrows, since he is immune to all arrows except fire ones that do 50% more damage and metal ones that do 50% less damage. tameo español: Para tener a tu propio Mini tanque veloz,deberas hacer que cargue contra ti y se golpee con paredes o con rocas, mientras mas dura sea la superficie mucho mejor,una pared de metal inflingira mas torpor y aguantara mas que una de madera. I will update on Monday April 10!

    Direbear

    From the album: Dossiers

    Common Name: Direbear Species: Arctodus Dirus Time: Mid Pleistocene / Early Holocene Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: Found primarily among the Island’s mountain and tundra regions, Arctodus Dirus is an imposing creature. Like most of the creatures, that inhabit this island’s colder areas, it is a mammal, and this particular mammal is either at or near the top of that region’s food chain. Many on the island have started calling it Direbear, a name which appropriate both due to it’s enormity and it’s territorial nature. The Direbear ignores most non-hostile creatures while going about its daily routine of scavenging for meat and edible plantlife... That is, until intruders enter the territory it considers its own, at which point it viciously attacks. Most often, it is smartest to just run from an angry Direbear. Domesticated: Once tamed, the Direbear is a strong and reliable mount. it can carry vast quantities of goods, and can sprint for extremely long, nearly infinite periods. It is not the fastest creature from a hard stop, but after building up momentum, its sustained overland speed builds to among the best on the island. Of course, being able to feed a Direbear both meat and plantlife makes keeping one fairly convenient regardless of the environment.
