So this is my concept for the Ark center community vote. This is Gastornis, a hefty avian brute from the late palaeocene era. These large birds exhibit elements of Macaw & waterfowl in appearance. Although considered strict herbivores these fumbling feathered fiends come with a mean streak when it comes to territory. They are renowned sound gurus in which the possess a powerful inner voice. This ain’t no ordinary game of Duck-Duck-Goose. Prisoner to the call Through vigorous evolution influenced by aggressive competition against rivals the Gastornis developed a highly sophisticated syrinx exclusive amongst this species. As a vocal species the Gastornis gained an entrancing broadcast call in hopes to gain the attention of prime females, however this call does affect the behaviour of other creatures as well as humans. The call of Gastornis inflicts Survivors with a new status debuff known as Mania. Mania temporarily immobilises Survivors from gathering, attacking & using the hot bar. In this effect the bird locks the afflicted Survivors to perform random emotes so long as it remains calling. Against tames the call will temporarily lock the creature in a level up animation loop. This attack can be blocked with earplugs as protection, applied as a cosmetic to a Survivors helmet Sleepy snacking The Gastornis is the only creature known to have the proclivity to willingly consume & gutload itself with Narcoberries for sustenance, making it virtually immune to tranquillisers, narcotics & bludgeoning. Sequestering the sleep inducing effects of the Narcoberry coating it a viscous saliva the Gastornis can lob projectiles at its target with an additional splash damage. This will immediately raise the torpor of almost any target without damaging it. As a tame Narcoberries or Narcotics are used as ammunition indicated as a gauge Dream eating nightmare Uniquely the Gastornis possesses a song that only attacks targets that have been knocked unconscious. A popular theory to how this works is that the bird uses its syrinx to produce infrasound, damaging & rupturing targets internally but as of yet still unproven & a mystery. This attack is known as the Song of Nightmares where it inflicts a new status debuff known as Traumatised. Traumatised freezes the target in place while draining health. This Status effect is a stacked ailment of the fear or terror status but it is uniquely applied when the Gastornis sings around sleeping individuals. The only known cure is the courage roar of the Yutyrannus, the War bellow of the Mammoth or interrupted by an allied Survivor by attacking them. Taming Due to its immunity to Narcotics the option for a knock out taming for the Gastornis is futile, instead the bird is tamed through a non violent method. By feeding the bird beer the moment it performs its manic song will cause the bird to become intoxicated. If done so repeatedly the Gastornis will become groggy making it easier to feed it Narcoberries or Narcotics.

Draco Venenum, GLIDING REPTILE (Magna Coelurosauravus)
allmightywizard posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
My suggestion comes from the first known reptile to glide about 260 million years ago, the Coelurosauravus. I think Aberration could use another dino that significantly helps with early-game traversal. The Rock Drake is amazing, but it takes a while for the survivor to attain. The Draco Venenum will help traverse the map early on as it is proficient at gliding and climbing. I also think the taming of the creature is different than usual, as it is very similar to the Troodon. I also foresee the wild Draco employing hunting tactics like the Thylacoleo. Introducing a new tranquilizer from its venom could be interesting as well. Wild Card hasn't introduced a new tranquilizer with an even greater potency than the narcotic. Finally, I am fully aware that my version of the Coelurosauravus is significantly larger than what fossils have pieced together but consider the recently added Rhyniognatha. Wild Named for its potent venomous bite, this gliding reptile must be related to the much smaller Coelurosauravus. It's much smaller than the Rock Drake being about the size of a Parasaur. I will call it the Draco Venenum. Draco is capable of gliding flight via membranes formed by an enlarged set of ribs. It is one of the most agile creatures in this aberrant world. Taming The Draco cannot be tamed by conventional means. It is virtually immune to narcotics of any kind. To tame the Draco you must present it with a weakened tame of your own allowing it to paralyze it and then feast upon its corpse. The more powerful the tame, the more effective taming will be. Domesticated Once tamed, Draco's venom could become very handy in knocking out other creatures. Its venom is even more potent than the Basilisk's. Draco's bite will do the trick, but I've also been able to utilize the venom to make an even more potent narcotic. Draco proves to be a very useful companion early on in my adventure. Deltadromeus the mobile narcotic machine
Thegaminggalaxy posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Common Name: Deltadromeus Species: Deltadromeus Agilis Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Deltadromeus Agilis is a very unique specimen. Even though Deltadromeus is only slightly larger than a raptor it is not afraid to attack prey much larger than its size. Deltadromeus will swallow narcoberries which it mixes with its stomach acids to create a narcotic substance. Given enough time a single one of these Deltadromeus can knock out a fully grown rex in minutes. Deltadromeus isn't completely offensive, and if it sees a group of creatures that it cannot defeat it will run away until a more isolated prey can be found. If it finds itself to be outnumbered it will excrete a toxic odor that will scare off the predators while even knocking some of the smaller ones out. Domesticated A tamed Deltadromeus has proven to be one of the most efficient assets to any survivor. Since it has grown an immunity to narcotics conventional means cannot be used, but rather you must make it fall unconscious due to exhaustion. Once it spots you it will begin to excrete its toxic gas so its best to bring a gas mask and once it has exhausted itself it will fall asleep ready for you to claim. Deltadromeus is commonly used as a mobile narcotic station and an efficient one at that crafting faster than a motor and pestle. Controls Left click: bite - regular attack Right click/ hold: Spits a large ball of narcotics. Holding down uses more narcotics and increases the torpor inflicted. Space: Jump C : Creates an area of toxic gas. Scares away any creature smaller than it. Increasing hunger will increase maximum narcotics used for the attack and, the speed narcotics is created, but it wont craft any faster than a chemistry bench. Saddle: Level 50 Tamable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breedable: Yes If put next to another unconcious creature that isnt awake it will use its toxic gas ability to raise the creature torpor by 10 percent if the dinos torpor drops below 20 percent. Its a passive ability that activates only once per dino and it uses more narcotics depending on the creature. Taming Method To tame you're gonna need a gas mask or you can use alot of stimulants to negate the poison. The deltadromeus will go up to you slowly and will expel the toxic gas. What you need to do is wait for it to stop expelling the gas then it will take a short rest as its torpor goes up .Once it gets back up have it agro on you so it doesn't lose torpor. Repeat until it's knocked out then give it Extraordinary kibble. Its taming effectivness starts at 75 and will increase if you throw poison gernades when it rests. Taming food effectivness Extrodinary kibble Poison gas Gernade (yes the have a good use now) mutton Prime Regular meat Cant use bolas Can use net projectiles. Cannot be tamed if netted. It will be a rare spawn on all maps. balances: When charging the spit attack it uses tons of stamina so you would have to level up hunger and stamina equally for good usage. The health of delta is much lower, but it is made up for with increased speed. -
Dracovenator is my submission this time, I feel it fits a niche which not many creatures would excel at. I wanted to add a Flak saddle with a mounted flame thrower which represents it's name better, Dragon Hunter! Palaeo Artists Imagining, Source: https://www.deviantart.com/atrox1/art/Dracovenator-and-Heterodontosaurs-422583666 Here's my take on it, I'm not very good at drawing but an Amazonian Poison Dart frog design would be awesome on it, it also fits the theme that's it a toxic dinosaur. What is Dracovenator? Dracovenator is an extinct species of Dilophosauridae, it lived during the Jurassic period and it was roughly 5.5-6.5m tall, around the size of a Velonasaur. It was more than likely a carnivore due to its heritage. Dracovenator's name means Dragon Hunter, isn't that cool! Dracovenator Dossier Wild: Larger and faster than the native Dilophosaurus, Dracovenator Toxicus is Ark's most fascinating resident. Whenever Dracovenator is on the hunt, its victims fall unconscious before they are even killed. While it seems they are aggressive, I noticed them feeding on bushes, a weird behaviour but perhaps there is meaning to it. Tamed: An asset to any survivor's tribe, once tamed Dracovenator can be fed a variety of narcotics to boosts its venom's capabilities, I even witnessed one survivor knocking out a Rex with it! However feeding higher yields of narcotics seems to have effects on its melee attacks which seem problematic at first glance but it doesn't take away its amazing utility. Behaviour Dracovenator is fairly aggressive, but seems to relax once it goes through a few berry bushes. However it is still best not to approach as they have violent tendencies. Appearance Dracovenator is around the size of a Velonasaur but with an appearance similar to Dilophosaurus, just without the frill. It has varied osteoderms cover its body with its delightful crest. Taming Dracovenator is a passive tame and must be approached with caution when trying to tame, it is best advised to where a ghilli suit whilst consuming a Cactus Broth. Clear any agro targets in the vicinity, then throw tamed creatures with narcotics, Narcoberries or Bio Toxin in their inventory, let Dracovenator kill that tamed creature and the items will transfer to Dracovenator, it will gain taming effectiveness based on what items you put in it, after Dracovenator is at 100% go up to it and start feeding it Regular Kibble, mutton etc, each type of taming food will depend on how much taming effectiveness it loses. It is best advised to use Dodo's as they are an easy tame. Combat Keep the high ground or be knocked out, have lots of stimulants on you, you'll need them. You can use bear traps to stop them or throw any narcotics on the ground (this does not work for the tamed version). Attacks Primary: Just a regular bite attack, with a fairly decent speed. Secondary: Spit attack, crosshairs are present on your screen whenever you ride this creature. Gains different effects based on consumables. Tertiary: You must have Nameless Venom present to activate the noxious gas attack. Utilities - PvE Versatile Taming Assistant: Placing Biotoxin or Narcotics in Dracovenator's inventory allows you to deal torpor to creatures and players, placing narcotics in its inventory will make it stronger than a Longneck but putting Biotoxin in its inventory will allow it to be stronger than a Tek Bow. Travel Mount: Dracovenator is an extremely agile creature being able to jump and run far distances without getting tired out, it can also hold a fairly decent amount of weight, making it a fairly reliable travel mount. Boss Fighter: Whilst not being used for its spit attack Dracovenator is a fairly reliable boss dino due to its maneuverability and damage output. Abilities - PvP Turret: Putting Dracovenator in its turret mode allows it to use it's basic spit which slows down tames/survivors whilst also debuffing their armour. Cave Defender: Putting Nameless Venom in Dracovenator's inventory allows it to use it's tertiary attack where it lets out an AoE cloud of gas which knocks out any survivor's in the vicinity. Base Destroyer: Putting Wyvern Milk in Dracovenator's inventory allows you to temporarily damage Tek and Metal structures with it spit and bite. Giga Counter: Due to its Flak saddle, Dracovenator is a reliable giga counter which can chunk away a gigas hp without getting too close to it! Soaker Counter: Due to its Flak saddle and armour debuffing spit, Dracovenator can help deal with soakers whilst providing support to your tribe. Passive Abilities Harvester: Dracovenator harvests Narcoberries and Bio Toxin at an increased rate, and will also cause Nameless to drop Nameless Venom more frequently. Fridge: Whilst Bio Toxin or Nameless Venom are in its inventory, it will increase the spoil times making Dracovenator a reliable companion when raising Rock Drakes! Torpor Immunity: Naturally since Dracovenator feasts on so much torpor inducing items, it is naturally immune to the stings of Jellyfish and survivors who try to knock it out. Saddle Dracovenator has 2 saddles, a normal hide saddle or a flak saddle providing a mounted flame thrower but this disables it's ability to use its spit attack. Note it will not consume Nameless Venom unless you press it's tertiary attack. After reading this be sure to check out Arambourgiania and Maip. From the album: Dossiers
Common Name: Cnidaria Species: Cnidaria omnimorph Time: Cambrian - Holocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Passive, but aggressive at close range Wild: Cnidaria omnimorph is another example of a creature which should not exist. It has traits that seem to come from many types of jellyfish. It possesses the size and shape of large egg-yolk jellies, the powerful sting of certain box jellies, and the bioluminescence of deep-sea jellies. This all combines to make a dangerous creature that lights up the deepest reaches of the ocean. Cnidaria is not generally an aggressive creature, because it lacks normal perceptive senses. it generally just floats on the current until something gets close enough to sense, at which point it attacks. While its attacks are not directly powerful, its sting injects an incredibly strong and fast-acting sedative. Most tribes kill Cnidaria on sight, then collect its reserve of powerful sedative, to use in technically advanced long-distance tranquilizers. Domesticated: As Cnidaria is barely more intelligent than a plant, there's no effective method to tame one. though dangerous as they can be, a few tribes even keep schools of them around to harvest.-
