I did some math for ark breeding in preparation for this post, because I'm aware how controversial it will be. In essence I asked the question "how many hours are required to breed competitively for endgame stats?", and put those hours next to the hours required to complete the other content in the game. My conclusion was that it took too many hours (thousands) to breed for endgame stats, while the game had nowhere near as many hours in other forms of content. The lion's share of the game's content should not be an RNG AFK experience, nor should the reward be so substantial that it makes peopl

I’m getting into breeding rexes for mutations and boss fights and was wondering what some good base stats are? I don’t have levels boosted so max level is 150. I tamed a 150M with 6800health and a 140F with 414M. What do you guys think of those stats? Should I start breeding for mutations with them or keep hunting for higher stats (what number stats will be good)?

Hey I have a question regarding the stat cap in the game for official servers. So I heard that the cap in the game for stats is 255 and that it can't go beyond this or the stat will break. I was wondering if this 255 stat cap includes the domesticated levels you put into your dinos when you get experience for them? Like for instance if you bred for 255 stat points into melee and pumped all of your 73 domesticated levels into melee would it break the stat or would it be okay after server restart? I was confused about this because Ive seen different answers to this subject. I would like to know

Advise ways to get rid of unwanted babies I started my first large breeding project. I'm breeding Tropical Crystal Wyverns for max mutations. When it will go past 20 mutations on fathers the process will give ~300 "wrong" babies per a right mutation. I would like to discuss how to mass slaughter these innocent dragon children for the sake of eugenics selection My server is boosted. Mating duration is 12 seconds, average mating cooldown is 20 minutes, one full rise is 1:32 hours:minutes and eggs hatch after 20 minutes. Tamed dinos are 3x more resistant and do 3x more damage. Harvesting is

Having problem with mutations Hey all, So I'm new to the game, got it for free with the Epic games deal a few months ago and have been playing nothing but single-player since. Just got into breeding and I've watched a few videos and read a few posts about it on here so I think I relatively know what I'm doing. However, recently I started a breeding project with a couple Gigas, both lvl 359, and I'm very confused by some of the offspring produced... I've got multiple eggs hatch to differently coloured gigas from the parents (implying a mutation) however the only stat which is differ

Breeding help..I'm clueless So I've been breeding deins a lot lately and the last batch I had a male and 2 females with the good stats, both had 1/5 mutations..I bred the male with the 2 females and the babies had 5/5. Is it because inbreeding? Do I have to breed the male with females with no mutations?

Question about Mating I have a question. If I had a 20/20 melee stack on a dino. Then if I started a completely different line for another 20/20 melee stack. Would they be able to stack to be a 40/20 melee stack?

Ferox taming and mutations Ferox's lose their imprint and mutation stats after transforming. The last time I tried to breed and mutate Ferox's was a few months ago so i would like to know if this still applies to today or if it has been fixed. Or maybe it was intentional and not a bug.

First a disclamer - No one except the devs (and i highly suspect even most of them don't really know any more) knows definitely 100% how it works. Some of the numbers/formulas are just by observation. The stats on a dino are determined by a base value in each stat and level-up points which add a certain amount of values. Dino-Levels are the sum of those level-ups plus one. Lets look at a Rex for example. A level 1 Rex has the following stats: Health 1100.1 Stamina 420 Oxygen 150 Food 3000 Weight 500 Damage 122.1 Speed 90 Torpidity 1550.5 Now a level 2 Rex has one

Hi Guys I've done a lot of reading on breeding and watching youtube and have bred my fair share of dinos, so why not try to make a guide from what I've learned and applied... (note some of the information may be incorrect so any rectifications are welcome as Wardrum loves to let us figure stuff out for ourselves) Whats Max Wild levels your find on official serves? Easy - Level 30 Medium - Level 150 Hard - Level 300 Exceptions are inside Ice & Swomp Caves where higher level dinos spawn So how does stats work on wild dinos? Simple it'

Breeding Mutation Help Please So lets say I have two dinos one male, one female and they have the EXACT same stats and levels (grown together from baby from same parents). If I were to breed them, we will say infinite times, is there any chance that their babies can ever mutate into higher stats than what the parents currently have? Also, another scenario, if I were to take these same two parents again, same stats same levels, and level one up and increase the melee for example. Is there any chance that the babies will get any the higher melee damage, or will it always default to what
