We got Ark Ascended, seeing as it's an upgrade to the previous ark and we thought Wildcard would've removed the tether constraints on splitscreen multiplayer. It appears the tether distance is shorter on PS5 and it often bugs, moving and sometimes even teleporting a character next to the original character. Curious to know whether anyone else is seeing similar issues.

Request for Offline LAN Multiplayer in ARK:SE As support for ARK:SE (legacy) comes to a close, many of us with older computer hardware will be unable to play ARK: Survival Ascended until we can afford newer hardware. (barely running ARK:SE) And as such we will remain playing the game we love so much for a while longer. However, the game lacks one beneficial option. Can you guys please add offline LAN multiplayer? You are ending official server support of Lagacy ARK:SE anyway. For most people, Local Offline LAN Multiplayer is unnecessary, they have fast internet and even when using a local server (i.e: a PC in the same house or even the same room being used as a server) they have no issues connecting through the internet to their server. Some of us however, are less fortunate and our internet connections is measured in single-digit megabits or even kilobits... So on behalf of those of us who live in the boondocks and anyone who has terrible internet, could you add Local Offline LAN Multiplayer to ARK:SE before ending support entirely? Thank you. PS: adding this to ASA would be really nice too!

I am simply curious because of the vague nature of the official difficulty values for bosses in ARK. Since I can't find a definitive answer, I am hoping someone can now share some insight. 1. Is it true that Singleplayer settings checkbox + 5x difficulty override do not affect the bosses in any way (it affects tamed dino stats/xp/breeding only)? 2. Is it true that there is no difference between official & unofficial (& PC dedicated) boss stat multipliers (so using Singleplayer settings checkbox on dedicated server with 5x difficulty override is the same as official for boss stat values)? 3. Is there a difference between official and singleplayer/non-dedicated bosses? I have seen invisibleqc's boss stat data figures mined from the game code: But still Ark players have anecdotal posts saying both yes & no for example: particularly intriguing is this reddit post which has extensive testing and found no difference in singleplayer/dedi: but also the last comment in this discussion with PFM saying he found no difference: This reddit post (although it may be wrong because they don't acknowledge the hard-coded resistance & damage multipliers given by invisibleqc) is curious as well because the patch notes are not clear and I wonder what the true interpretation of the following patch notes is when they write "multiplayer" (do these patch notes nerf SP then nerf dedi/official to match it?): Version: v254.3 Released - January 31, 2017 Singleplayer/non-dedicated bosses are reduced in damage and effective-HP by 67% Version: v261.0 Released - 7 July, 2017 Rebalanced all boss HP and damage to scale from 1x (Gamma) to 3x (Alpha) in singleplayer. This does not include The Center double boss arena, which has 35% less HP and damage than it's individual Island counterparts. Version: v264.2 Released - July 29, 2017 Fixed boss scaling for multiplayer sessions (approximately 67% easier) 4. If the difference is real, is Freespirit correct in applying his calculations to Singleplayer to match the official difficulty? Thanks for reading and I hope to get to the bottom of this once and for all.

Please don’t get rid of couch co-op on single player. It is really a good option for families and people who do not have access to multiple consoles. being able to expand on it even would be better… Removing the distance limit between players all together is important. Being able to choose how the screen is split would be a good option. Being able to link multiple accounts in the same console to one specific single player map save. Where if player 1 who started the game leaves, player 2 could continue playing and also connect to that specific save file for that map on their account if they want that to be their personal save file also. Allowing people on the same console to essentially play together on their own shared home server in single player. Or adding a “Shared Server”-like option for multiple accounts on one console to connect to each other and play on the same map save files, while keeping single player separate. This would update the same save file across multiple accounts on the same console to keep each account’s save up-to-date with what is changed, built, tamed, etc. by other accounts on the same console. Say a sibling’s account play-information would transfer over to your account’s save file on “Shared Server”-option for instance, so you could share a base but not have to be actually playing at the same times but have the option to also. (I have no idea if I explained that very well lol) I just know that Couch Co-op is important for a lot of people with siblings and friends that come over to play the game together and it would be a shame to lose that. thank you for your time.

LAN on console so the game can have longevity.
Relish posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions Archive
I own Ark on evwry platform... I own 7 Xbox and own at least 4 versions of Ark on my profiles for the Xbox alone. Yet, I worry, if this game stops being updated, servers go down, if not the Xbox network changes to a new platfiorm, then 4 to 7 copies are pointless. I have trulytried to support this game, even buying it for others and gifting DLC. But at thr end of the day, if there is not a LAn option added soon, I gather there is no poont doing it again on Ark 2, especially if it has LAN(Local, system link), as well, I really wanted this game to be a game I still pick up and play in 10 years... Well, I still have my 360's and p.c's. But without a way to play with my neighbours and mates when there is no internet or Xbox Live any more or Psplus... I really hope you add LAN play.
