( UM SALVE PARA TODOS OS BR´s QUE POSTARAM SUAS IDEIAS E CRIADORES DE CONTEUDO TBM, WILL, POLY, MEDUSA, ABEL, BACON, PEDRAO, CALY, WERE, HENBROW ENTRE OUTROS QUE ME PERDOEM POR NÃO MENCIONAR AQUI MAS TMJ!) WC RECONHEÇA O TRABALHO DESSES CARAS POR FAVOR!

Wild: Wandering the most climate extreme environments in this broke earth, Sinotyrannus Radium has been able to harvest electricity from the environment thanks to its element mutations and use it offensively This Sinotyrannus' crest is usually used as the main outlet of electricity in his body, its able to use its electricity to either shoot out a lightning bolt which crosses among multiple enemies or a flash of blinding light made to stun them Taming Method: You must wait till it shoots its flashbang or lightning bolt, and either deflect it with either a metal shield (flashbang) or with the riot shield (lighting bolt), then it will be stunned, then you may feed it to gain taming effectiveness Tamed: Tribes upon the wasteland have been able to tame these predators by using their own attacks against them, stunning them by reflecting their respective attack and feeding them afterwards Some of these Sinotyrannus are fitted with generator saddles and used as mobile electric sources which dont need gas, this generators are also able to overcharge the Sinotyrannus and make them specially fast and agile compared to most creatures Sinotyrannus; Abilities: Regular bite: Fast bite with decent damage, comparable to carno Lighting bolt: When you enter turret mode you can choose on of two modes, the first mode gives you a lighting bolt shot, which has goes through multiple enemies dealing damage to all of em, a hard hitting attack which takes a couple seconds to recharge, the crest will be a bright yellow when doing this Flashbang: The second mode inside of turret mode is the flashbang, this attack stuns creatures and blind for a few seconds, this attack has a big cooldown and is easy to predict due to its animation, this is to prevent getting stunned all the time, whenever this mode is active the crest will be a bright blue Stomp: A stomp attack which deals moderate damage but leaves an electric field on the ground, this electric field deactivates Meks and other robotic creatures, also it does a continuous stream of damage when inside Passive Abilities: Generator Saddle: Its saddle acts as a mobile generator, this generator doesnt need gas but has a much smaller range Overcharge: When it has a powered generator saddle it unlocks the overcharge meter, this can be filled by attacking and running, when this is activated he is able to do 180 spins on the spot, mega jumps which explode with electricity when it lands and faster movement speed

resource ANOMALOCARIS: The Resource Dredger
Smolfrog posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
ANOMALOCARIS ----------------------------------------------------- BEHAVIOR Anomalocaris is a passive creature that spends its time in shallow ocean waters ( think of the east archipelago or the lava islands ) most of its time is spent dredging through the sand using its podomeres (those tentacles by its mouth) which kicks up a rich sand cloud, various resources and its preferred prey: Trilobites. When it finds a trilobite the Anomalocaris grabs it, cracks open its shell, and slurps out its delicious meat inside, however the trilobite is the only creature that the Anomalocaris gives any cares about. TAMING Anomalocaris is a simple tame and it would prove useful in early game and in late game, as stated before, the taming process is simple. A player simply needs to throw chitin and raw meat in the path of the Anomalocaris while its dredging for food, this works because Anomalocaris isn't the smartest of creatures and it believing that the player has given it a trilobite to eat. MOBILITY For what it is, Anomalocaris is pretty speedy in the water it can beat an itchy in a race but mantas are quite a bit faster, to reach these speeds Anomalocaris extends its podomeres to use them as hydrofoils. OXYGEN SUPPLY Similar to Diplocaulus, Anomalocaris has a supply of oxygen that gets trapped under its flipper plates and in its podomeres that can be accessed and used by players who are riding it, this oxygen supply is replenished any time the Anomalocaris exits the water BEACHING Anomalocaris is able to beach itself on the land for storage and to replenish its oxygen reserves, it does not dry out on the land and it is able to move however it is very slow and cannot attack while on the land. DREDGING as mentioned above Anomalocaris is an earlygame and a lategame tame, Dredging is where its lategame utility comes in to paly. When set to wander Anomalocaris will bury its podomeres into the ground and start moving around throught the sediments, the items that Anomalocaris pulls out of the ground is determined by the elevation that it is dredging at which is spilt into 4 different regions. Surface near the surface of the ocean such as a beach Anomalocaris is able to find resources that are useful for earlygame, the list of items is: Chitin, Stone, Thatch, Raw Fish, and Metal. Deep Water this area is found near the middle of the ocean, not at the sea floor but still a ways from the surface, here Anomalocaris will dredge up items useful for midgame the list of resources is: Cementing Paste, Raw Fish, Metal, Silicate (that one resource from extinction) and Obsidian. Abyssal The Center's oceans are very deep and here is where Anomalocaris is able to get many untapped resources, and the list of those is: Silicate, Obsidian, Black Pearls, Raw Prime Fish, Raw Fish, Metal, and rare element dust. Mountain There are quite a few small lakes found in the higher parts of the map, but the main spot to dredge would be the big lake of the center island, dredging here will give you: Organic Polymer, Cementing Paste, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat, and Metal. WHY? Anomalocaris marks an important point in the evolution of life as it was the largest creature for its time and its widely seen as the first apex predator, its also been a creature I've wanted to see in game for a long time. BASING IN REALITY A recent study has shown that Anomalocaris wasnt able to crunch down on trilobites too easily, instead its podomeres were used as hydrofoils for bursts of speed and agility. thank you for reading -
Austolovenator, Apex of the plains
Moltenenneard10 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Species Name- Australovenator Wintensis In the wild- Australovenator is a rare species of the ark, only being found in flat, non-forested areas. They can also be found in deserts, but they're even rarer here. Australovenator would have an aggressive temperament toward the player and their teams. However, it would be docile to wild creatures around it unless attacked. Australovenator has a wide agro range and will keep agro until either losing interest (after about 10 seconds) or leaving render distance. Australovenator is incredibly fast, as fast as a rolling roll rat! It takes about 6 seconds for a Australovenator to reach this speed, however. Escaping this animal can be a challenge, but getting to the high ground or running to a nearby dense forest is your safest bet. Australovenator will be a sort of upgrade to the raptor, being about the size of an iguanodon. Taming process- In order to tame a Australovenator I would advise to build a trap and lure it in while on a flying creature. From there, you need to sneak up to it and feed it beer, that's right, beer. From here, it will get a status effect called "Drunk Rage." This effect will aggravate everything around it for about a minute. This will also nearly double its damage. A level 1 Fukui will need about 1 beer jar, a level 150 would need about 13. Once it's fed the final beer, it will tame but will be knocked out for about 10 seconds. Tamed- Australovenator's saddle is unlocked at level 75. A tamed Australovenator has a few unique abilities. To start with, it has its basic bite, the weakest of its attacks. However, you can bite while moving at its extreme speeds. The second ability would be a latching ability, this would allow Australovenator to latch onto a larger animal like a rex and take bites out of it. However, Australovenator can take damage from the creature attacking back in this phase. up to two Austrolovenator can be on a target at any given time depending on the size. a creature the size of a stego could only have a single Australovenator on it, while a creature the size of let's say the dragon could have up to 5 on it at a time. Australovenator stamina would drain quickly during this. The last of its remarkable abilities is its speed. As mentioned before, it can go as fast as a rolling roll rat, however, Turing is a different story. Australovenator when at full sprint can whip around a full 180 at the cost of some of its speed, needing to regain some of it afterwards similar to andrewsarchus. Roles- It can serve many roles and purposes, one of them being for combat. With all of its amazing abilities, it's no surprise, it would fit in as a truly worthy opponent during combat. However, it serves a very nice niche in a PvE setting. It can serve as a metal harvester, as it has a 50 percent weight reduction for metal, stone, sulfur, obsidian, and many other minerals. This makes it great to pair with creatures such as doedicurus and ankylosaurus. It could also be used for boss fights against creatures like the titans and the dragon. In PvP setting, it can be amazing for base raids, being able to whittle a creature's health down and sporting the speed to get away with it relatively unharmed. Thank you for reading through this extensive article about the Proposed apex of the plains. -
Beishanlong was a relative of Deinocheirus from the Early Cretaceous of China. Now, what do Canadian geese have to do with this thing you wonder? Well, the idea for this critter is that it’s oddly extremely violent and can somehow scare away things much larger than it, like Yuty levels of fear. Now it doesn’t just cause fear and go on with its day, it is straight sadistic and will become stronger the more things it has caused fear, increasing its damage, attack speed and speed rates up to 50%. It hasn’t gained its reputation for nothing, it can combo its attacks in a chain format with kicks, claw swipes, tail whips and biting. With combos it can build up a combo bar which when it is full it will bring out a fury of attacks, matched with its fear abilities it certainly is no joke. Though combos are great to use, specifically its kicks are great, it can build up speed like a dire bear or rhino and launch a full force kick to a creature, causing insane knock-back and a “winded debuff” which heavily increases stamina drain and will automatically set the creatures stamina to 0. Though I also have ideas on how it can be good for PvE, it’s saddle has two baskets used for carrying water, this baskets can be used to irrigate crops far away from any water source, which can be refilled at a well or any source of water, including rain. It also has an additional basket for vegetables, berries, etc, it can be set onto an “auto-farm pick up” mode where it will pick up anything that’s grown in crop plots, and keeps them from spoiling for longer. Additionally if you want to keep pests away from your base, you can set up a perimeter around your base to mark its scent, this will keep away anything, but it will make enemy or wild Beishanlong’s angry, increasing their damage.

The basic idea for irritator is that it would be the opposite of the spino. While in water the irritator would be relaxed and therefore it would be slow moving and have very high health regen as well as little to no aggression. However, the longer irritator spends out of water the more irritated it will get. As irritator spends more time out of water its speed and damage will increase but health regen will drastically decrease and incoming damage will also increase. This would make irritator useful on every map but for different purposes. On scorched earth irritator could be a glass cannon perfect for killing targets quickly. On the island irritator could be useful as an early underwater tank. Items such as canteens or water jars could be used to temporarily negate the effects of the irritated mode if there is no water source nearby. Its taming method could be dependant on its mood eg. An irritator in water could be a passive tame but if its out of the water its a tranq tame. Should be slightly smaller than an allo. Other ideas: Angry irritators could ignore natural armour (rock golems, stegos etc) Relaxed irritator could have significantly reduced effects from certain attacks ( jellyfish sting, purlovia pounce, tranqs etc) Irritator sail could protect from extreme temperatures.

newdino Livyathan Melillei, The Giant Whale
KISKAIU posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The body length of Livyatan is unknown since only the holotype skull is preserved. Lambert and colleagues estimated the body length of Livyatan using Zygophyseter and modern sperm whales as a guide. The authors opted to use the relationship between the bizygomatic width (distance between the opposite zygomatic processes) of the skull and body length because of the variable rostrum length in modern sperm whales and the rostrum of Livyatan being proportionally shorter. Doing so produced length estimates of 13.5 m (44 ft) when using the modern sperm whale and 16.2–17.5 m (53–57 ft) when using Zygophyseter.[1][17] It has been estimated to weigh 57 tonnes (62.8 short tons) based on the length estimate of 17.5 m (57 ft).[18] By comparison, the modern sperm whale length measures on average 11 m (36 ft) for females and 16 m (52 ft) for males, with some males reaching up to 20.7 m (68 ft) long.[20][21][22] The large size was probably an anti-predator adaptation, and allowed it to feed on larger prey. Livyatan is the largest fossil sperm whale discovered, and was also one of the biggest-known predators, having the largest bite of any tetrapod. Diagram comparing the upper and lower size estimates of Livyatan (bottom three) with the size of mature sperm whales, including one of the largest individuals recorded (top three), and a human. Skull The holotype skull of Livyatan was about 3 m (9.8 ft) long. Like other raptorial sperm whales, Livyatan had a wide gap in between the temporal fossae on the sides of the skull and the zygomatic processes on the front of the skull, indicating a large space for holding strong temporal muscles, which are the most powerful muscles between the skull and the jaw. The snout was robust, thick, and relatively short, which allowed it to clamp down harder and better handle struggling prey. The left and right premaxillae on the snout probably did not intersect at the tip of the snout, though the premaxillae took up most of the front end of the snout. Unlike in the modern sperm whale, the premaxillae reached the sides of the snout. The upper jaw was thick, especially midway through the snout. The snout was asymmetrical, with the right maxilla in the upper jaw becoming slightly convex towards the back of the snout, and the left maxilla becoming slightly concave towards the back of the snout. The vomer reached the tip of the snout, and was slightly concave, decreasing in thickness from the back to the front. A sudden thickening in the middle-left side of the vomer may indicate the location of the nose plug muscles. Each mandible in the lower jaw was higher than it was wide, with a larger gap in between the two than in the modern sperm whale. The mandibular symphysis which connects the two halves of the mandibles in the middle of the lower jaw was unfused. The condyloid process, which connects the lower jaw to the skull, was located near the bottom of the mandible like other sperm whales. Teeth The teeth of Livyatan were among the biggest of any animal at over 31 cm (12 in) in length Unlike the modern sperm whale, Livyatan had functional teeth in both jaws. The wearing on the teeth indicates that the teeth sheared past each other while biting down, meaning it could bite off large portions of flesh from its prey. Also, the teeth were deeply embedded into the gums and could interlock, which were adaptations to holding struggling prey. None of the teeth of the holotype were complete, and none of the back teeth were well-preserved. The lower jaw contained 22 teeth, and the upper jaw contained 18 teeth. Unlike other sperm whales with functional teeth in the upper jaw, none of the tooth roots were entirely present in the premaxilla portion of the snout, being at least partially in the maxilla. Consequently, its tooth count was lower than those sperm whales, and, aside from the modern dwarf (Kogia sima) and pygmy (K. breviceps) sperm whales, it had the lowest tooth count in the lower jaw of any sperm whale. The most robust teeth in Livyatan were the fourth, fifth, and sixth teeth in each side of the jaw. The well-preserved teeth all had a height greater than 31 cm (1 ft), and the largest teeth of the holotype were the second and third on the left lower jaw, which were calculated to be around 36.2 cm (1.2 ft) high. The first right tooth was the smallest at around 31.5 cm (1 ft). The Beaumaris sperm whale tooth measured around 30 cm (1 ft) in length, and is the largest fossil tooth discovered in Australia. These teeth are thought to be among the largest of any known animal, excluding tusks.[1][8] Some of the lower teeth have been shown to contain a facet for when the jaws close, which may have been used to properly fit the largest teeth inside the jaw. In the front teeth, the tooth diameter decreased towards the base. This was the opposite for the back teeth, and the biggest diameters for these teeth were around 11.1 cm (4.4 in) in the lower jaw. All teeth featured a rapid shortening of the diameter towards the tip of the tooth, which were probably in part due to wearing throughout their lifetimes. The curvature of the teeth decreased from front to back, and the lower teeth were more curved at the tips than the upper teeth. The front teeth projected forward at a 45° angle, and, as in other sperm whales, cementum was probably added onto the teeth throughout the animal's lifetime. Reconstructed skull at Natuurhistorisch Museum Rotterdam All tooth sockets were cylindrical and single-rooted. The tooth sockets increased in size from the first to the fourth and then decreased, the fourth being the largest at around 197 mm (7.8 in) in diameter in the upper jaws, which is the largest of any known whale species. The tooth sockets were smaller in the lower jaw than they were in the upper jaw, and they were circular in shape, except for the front sockets which were more ovular. Habilities - Primary attack. A strong bite. - Secondary attack. A sonar which could detect dinos in the same way as the bloodstalker. Only for 4 seconds and with a cooldown of 60 seconds - Tertiary attack. A dash with which it could grab his prey with it's mouth to bite it so hardly, harder than the primary attack. It could onli go fordward without moving during the animation. It will have a cooldown of 10 seconds. Disadvantages - Necessity to breath after 30 minutes with oxigen because it will drown if it doesn't breath. - The same as the Basilosaurus. If it goes so deep it will start getting damage. -
Longisquama obscurum - The Shoulder Mounted Pincushion Turret
Interface5 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The idea, dossier, and concept included in this post were all created by me, I welcome feedback, thoughts and suggestions. (Also if you notice any glaring flaws in the dossier be sure to let me know and I'll fix 'em) Longisquama is a unique reptile that is most notable for the fossils of its frond-like feathers sticking straight out of its back. This specific depiction of longisquama is a love-letter to the inaccuracies for the sake of design seen in so many of arks other dinosaurs, in that it directly references one of the more outlandish reconstructions of longisquama, bare in mind I'm no paleontologist I'm only repeating a few things I've heard over the years. Pitch: ● Early Game Tame, Late Game viability - Everyone loves tames accessible from the start, especially when they are able to maintain relevancy later into the game. I imagine the Longi could be tamed early on, simply get a leach attached to you and have it eat it off you to contribute about a third of the taming bar. The kicker is that to get maximum effectiveness you will have to find a diseased one (The Aberrant variant would simply use lampreys and still gain the full taming effectiveness but not contribute as much to the taming progress). So we've established that it's easy to tame early on but requires late game or at least a lot of effort to get max effectiveness, why put such an emphasis on its potential use in this way? Well I think the benefits the longisquama provides will allow it to be useful into late game just as much as early game. ● Spear Generation: Passively generates quills in its inventory, attempting to fire without any quills in your inventory will quickly generate 10 quills at a heafty cost of stamina stacking beyond ten occurs at a lower rate without consuming stamina and would cap around 50 for a level 30 at 150 for a level 80 and around 250 for a 150 just to get a basic idea. By holding attack with an empty hand and a longi on your shoulder you reach behind you and snatch a quill off its body, this quill will now act as a spear that scales damage based on the longi's mele. Quills cannot actually be taken out of a longi's inventory. With high mele I could see this being comparable to a high quality pike, though I would love some PvP players input on this as I only have an idea of how my ideas will effect balancing from a PvE perspective. ● Low Range Turret - One of the main draws to the Longi is the fact that its essentially a machine gun, In many ways it will function similarly to a shoulder-mounted velonosaur, when manually firing you would use it much, in the same way, gaining a target reticle moving slower and expending stamina to shoot though not nearly to the degree of the velonosaur as in this case you also need to wait for the quills to appear in its inventory again. I would imagine that when it shoots its quills it does additional damage, I see its role as being a last resort type of thing, you are only given so many quills and you want to manage them carefully. (However to make this a versatile tame I think by increasing oxygen you could increase the maximum number of quills in its inventory and would change its role from last resort to a more standard attacker at the cost of some damage output) ● Last Resort - To compound on its role as something that you want to save for dire situations the Longi could receive a decent damage boost when your health dips below a certain point, this would hopefully allow it to make that difference between life and death in deadly situations. ● Reflective armor - This ability could be two-fold: for one after shooting a target it could take some of the damage it deals *its biting and the quills are getting pushed deeper* additionally if a survivor is wearing a longisquama they could also cause damage to be reflected upon taking it from an outside source, I think this could scale with a stat such as just health. ● Watchdog: - The final role of the longi is the auto turret part of it, essentially you set its aggression level and the range before it chooses a target, and it just acts as a turret on your should, if you had a decent level one this would be good enough to give you peace of mind that your not going to be snuck up on by a raptor and killed, even in situations were you havent brought your top teir tames with you, because you already have a pretty decent one on your shoulder. ● Additional details: I could also see the Longi providing insolation buffs and a fall damage reduction for obvious reasons. I also think that it could detect buried creatures like purlovia and reapers to add to their connection to rock drakes eluded to in the dossier and with the implication of them being the source of dna for rock drakes; however I don't think these are necessary for the concept to work, if the longi was feeling too bloated with features these would be the first I would drop, though I dont think anyone would complain from these being included. My main defense of these features being reasonable and not power creep or bloat is they don't majorly detract from other creatures' roles and instead just add a bit of depth to the longi, a dire wolf is still better for finding purlovia, a rockdrake can detect reapers and actually fight them, and archypterx / sino are better gliders. Implementation: So how does the Longi feel in game? I imagine it would be common to forested areas rich in bugs as well as swamps. I think Longisquama would work really well on other maps such as Abberation and Scorched earth, and Extinction's sunken forest, I would love to see these maps get some love. I personally think Aberration especially could benefit from the longisquama, I referenced the rock drake a lot while making the dossier and I can even see the longisquama being a source for the rock drake. Longisquama would be a great source of keratin if you can manage to kill one, which shouldn't be too difficult if you shoot it with arrows after bolaing it, just be sure you don't use a mele weapon. To add a greater threat to messing with this creature i could see it doing a quill burst when attacked at close range, this could also be an ability used by mounted longisquma. Feel free to leave your thoughts and suggestions in the comments, especially if you want to offer a perspective to PvP balancing because I have no idea how to start on that. As for my suggestions towards ensuring this is balanced, It would probably be good to investigate the spawn rate of diseased leaches, to ensure taming one of these at max efficiency is possible. Additionally, I would like to use this post to soapbox about velonosaur receiving a buff to cement its position at the turret mvp as the longisquama is intrinsically meant to be lighter weight and more multifaceted so therefor not quite as good as the dino that is literally genetically engineered by element to be a turret.- 9 replies

Tangvayosaur- The Armored Sauropod
DodoBirdKing582 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The Tangvayosaur is the second largest sauropod on the Island, only smaller than the Titanosaur. The current sauropods have no use in Ark, the diplodocus can not deal any damage, the brontosaurus is took weak for it's size and speed, and the titanosaur is only temporary. The goals of this dinosaur is to encourage the use of more herbivores by providing one with power that rivals the unchallenged king of Ark, the Giga. Currently, the Ark is dominated by carnivores that demolish herbivores. For example, a wild rex can single handily take down a whole herd or trikes or a couple of brontosaurus. In hopes of changing this prejudice against herbivores, I present to you... THE TANGVAYOSAUR Appearance: The tangvayosaurs that live on the Island are around twice the size of a brontosaurus. They have long whip like tails and a row short spikes that run from the head to the start of the tail. It is bulky like the bronto, but has a slender neck like the diplo. It is slightly more slend than the bronto. Wild: The Tangvayosaur can be found in the same places that Titanosaurs will spawn, but more frequently. They will become aggressive to any dinosaur that enters their range, including other herbivores. The only animal that these sauropods don't bully are dimorphodon, which give a calming effect to these giants. Tangvayosaurs have very long tails that will almost certainly reach you before you reach them. The Tangvasaur will slowly walk towards enemies backwards and use its range to its advantage. The tail can cause knock-back that increases the smaller the target. Taming: Those wishing to tame such a juggernaut will not be able to use the traditional knock out method. To tame the Tangvayosaur, you will need to relax him and then begin to slowly feed him when he grows tired. The items needed are as follows: Dimorphodon and 5-25 Rare Mushrooms. First, you will need to equip the dimorphodon so that the tangvayosaur will not attempt to squash you during the taming process. Next, you need to drop rare mushrooms near the dinosaur. The Tangvayosaur will eat the mushrooms and become drugged. A drugged Tangvayosaur will move much slower and lower his head to the ground every now and then. When the Tangvasaur lowers his head, you will have the option to feed him his preferred food (The same foods as any other herbivore). Domesticated: Tamed Tangvayosaurs are some of the most intimidating things to come across. A Tangvayosaur saddle will transform it into the ultimate siege dinosaur. The saddle will provide much more armor than the average saddle and will give sharp blades to the tail that make it deal double the damage and cause bleed. The saddle is also equipped with a cannon on each side of the body. The downside to this boost is that the saddle will slow down the Tangvayosaur a noticeable amount due to all the armor. The basic attack is a heavy hitting tail whip that can will hit wherever you are facing and cause knock-back. The second attack is a charged up tail attack that can deal a ton of damage and even hurt metal if held long enough. The final attack is a body slam. When using the bodyslam, the Tangvayosaur will throw it's body into the enemy and deal a TON of damage. This attack has a cool down of two minutes though and a delay upon using it, making timing it key. Harvesting: The Tangvayosaur can harvest the following materials: Berries, Fiber, Thatch, Wood, Meat, Hide. It is best at harvesting fiber, but it is still outclassed by most other herbivores. I would not recommend taming Tangvayosaur for the sole purpose of harvesting. This dino is much better in a PvP setting than a PvE one. Its Place In the Food Chain: The Tangvayosaur is the herbivorous giga. It is unchallenged by any dinosaur that is smaller than a char or giga. It can be easily outrun though, making it better at defending or raiding than rushing down players. It's strengths are its strong defense, health, damage, and mounted cannons. The cons are it's large hit-box and very slow movement. -
Euoplocephalus - Ankylosaurid Combatant
VaporVenator posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
(Euoplocephalus from Jurassic World Evolution 2) Created with the help of others in the Paleo.gg Discord server Introducing Euoplocephalus! Euoplocephalus is among the largest Ankylosaurid genuses, and was discovered in Canada. I personally feel that the game is quite lacking in fun, versatile, and powerful herbivores, and many are seen as basic resource gatherers to help you progress quicker. Not many of them have the speed or power to function as a proper multi-purpose mount, which is the exact role I want Euoplocehpalus to play. Instead of acting as an "Anky but better", this creature would ditch that niche and instead act has a full-on battle beast, capable of taking on bosses and even posing a threat as a territorial wild animal. While ankylosaurids are often portrayed as sluggish due to their armor, I want Euoplo to be quite fast, taking inspiration from hippos, which are capable of sprinting over 20mph despite their large size. While the concept of the creature as a whole is relatively basic, I did add a few details to help spice it up, and with its role being something quite rarely seen in the game, I feel that it could make for a great addition to the creature roster. Dossier Concept Species: Euoplocephalus audax Group: Dinosaurs Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial WILD Euoplocephalus is widely regarded as a living tank by other survivors, and it has the build and personality to match. These solitary herbivores are highly territorial and reckless, they often slam into trees and other creatures with their bodies or their club tails. Unlike most herbivores on the ARK, this one in particular is adapted to taking on apex predators rather than using sheer population numbers to stay thriving. Several tons of muscle covered in osteoderms isn't exactly the easiest to domesticate. Some tribes have attempted pacifying the animal with various tames, and chemicals produced by Pachyrhinosaurus seem to do the job well. DOMESTICATED This creature is sought out by tribes for a very good reason. Its sheer power, along with surprising mobility for its size, makes it an excellent combatant and siege mount. Using its heavy body and powerful tail it can cripple foes and leave them more vulnerable to other attacks. While tribes have attempted using this creature to gather materials as with its smaller relative Ankylosaurs, Euoplocephalus is simply too harsh and powerful to effectively harvest resources without demolishing them entirely. More In-depth Taming Method: As described in the dossier, Euoplocephalus is a normally aggressive creature, and you tame it by using Pachyrhinosaurus's chemical spray to pacify and passive tame it. This not only makes for an interesting unique taming method, but it also grants Pachyrhinosaurus a new use. Primary Attack: Euoplo's primary attack while standing or walking is a standard bite attack. It deals low damage, gathers a bit of berries, and is pretty spammable. However, when sprinting, the attack instead becomes a shoulder bash, where Euoplo uses its momentum to tackle into the target, dealing much bigger damage to enemies and structures. Secondary Attack. Euoplo runs up and whacks the target with its tail, similar to its attack animations seen in Jurassic World Evolution. This attack deals massive damage, but has pretty long endlag, meaning you mainly want to use it in head to head combat against a large target or structure. This hit also causes an effect where the hit target will take increased damage from all other hits for a certain amount of time, making this an excellent war mount or boss fighter against targets with high health or resistance. Tertiary Attack: Euoplocephalus slams its tail on the ground, hitting opponents behind you. It does a decent amount of damage, but not as much as the shoulder bash or tail whack. Reasoning for its abilities: I didn't really want a powerful and spammable attack similar to a majority of theropods in this game, as that would essentially turn this into an herbivorous Rex that can destroy buildings. These abilities make it a much more mobile combatant that benefits from moving around, giving is strengths and weaknesses similar to a Rhino. Stats: This creature would have all around great stats being a more lategame mount, but its most noticeable stats would be health and attack. While I do understand that Wildcard would not make this idea directly if Euoplocephalus were implemented, I can see it having a ton of potential considering how well Carcharodontosaurus was executed in the game. We've already had 2 mammals and one carnivorous dinosaur win through these submissions, so I feel it's only fitting that we receive an herbivorous dinosaur to finish off ARK 1.
