Wild: The Gastonia thrives in the Sulfur fields. Primarily eating Sulfur, and being able to withstand the extreme heat. Gastonia eats so much sulfur that it can cultivate it into a defensive sap. It's able to coat this hot and steamy Sulfur sap all over its spikes through special glands that connect to the spikes. Not only do these glands squirt out sap, but also searing sulfur gas! Besides it's "Sulfur abilities", the Gastonia also has tons of sharp spikes on it's tail that can easily slice through flesh. The Gastonia's tail is very articulated, allowing it to strategically strike at foes. Tamed: Gastonia is very difficult to tame. It seems that tranq arrows are not good enough to put this beast down, so it's best to bring tranq darts. However once the Gastonia is knocked out, it continues to release a steaming hot gas. Get close to it, and you'll just about sizzle away! Which makes it almost impossible to feed it Sulfur, which you need a TON of. Especially since you also need to worry about keeping the damn thing asleep! It's constantly trying to fight the sedatives, which makes it a pain to keep the beast down. Anyways once tamed, the Gastonia demonstrates to be very good for dealing AOE damage against your foes. As well as being able to take a lot of punishment due to it's heavy armor and spikes. Ideas for abilities: Left Click - Tail Swipes Casually hit deals 50 base damage Hold down for 4 hit combo When holding down it will do a casual tail swipe then immediately swipe from left and right quickly then will lift its back legs also lifting its tail high in the air, and then swings its tail down with a lot of force dealing 80 base damage. Each tail swipe has a 5% chance of a new type of bleed. Blood Spill: Blood spill last for 3 seconds, and works similarly to Deinoychus's bleed showing up as damage numbers. Blood spill can do 2% or 4% of the targets health. (It will randomly choose if it does 2% of the targets health, or 4% of the targets health) (Blood Spill cannot be stacked, and can only be applied again after it's duration) During the Combo, Gastonia's heavy tail hit (That does 80 base damage) has a 10% chance of inflicting Blood Spill. When walking or running left click turns into a bite that does 45 damage and can harvest increased sulfur. Can also harvest average berries and average thatch with its bite and tail. Right Click - Sulfur gas clouds Gastonia converts the sulfur it eats into a hot sulfuric gas/steam. The gas surrounds the Gastonia in a big radius affecting all those in the radius. It does 15 base damage every 0.8 seconds (scaling with melee) Gives a debuff called "Singe" after being in the gas for 3 seconds. The Singe debuff does 5 damage every 5000 health a Creature has. For example a Creature with under 5000 health, Singe does 5 damage, but a creature with 5000 health, Singe does 10. A creature with 20000 health, Singe would do 25 damage, which is where it caps. Singe does damage every 0.1 seconds, and the debuff last 20 seconds. The Singe debuffs damage numbers are hidden. The Singe debuff does not stack. It costs 50 sulfur in its inventory to use this move. It has 1 seconds of it eating the sulfur before actually using the move. The gas cloud lasts for 15 seconds. Gastonia is 80% slower while this move is active. Has a 1 minute cooldown. C - Sulfur coat The Gastonia has glands on almost every spike. Where it can release it's "Sulfur Mucus" as a defense mechanism. Sulfur coat is when the Gastonia released a boiling Sulfur goop, that covers most of every spike. Anything that hits the Gastonia, receives 30 base damage (scaling with melee). The Gastonia also deals 20% more damage with its tail attacks while Sulfur coat is active. This also makes Gastonia immune the fire debuff while Sulfur coat is active. Sulfur coat lasts for 30 seconds. Has a 30 second cooldown. Costs 25 Sulfur to use. After Sulfur coats duration ends, the Sulfur goop on Gastonia's body starts to harden. This gives Gastonia an extra health bar that appears as a debuff called "Exo Shell". (when viewing Extended HUD Info, it will show a number that represents the extra health bars health) This extra health bar has a total of 30% of the Gastonia's max health. (for example if the Gastonia had 10,000 health, this extra health bar would be 3,000) Any damage taken will be split up. 80% of the damage would go towards this extra health bar, while 20% of the damage will be dealt to the Gastonia's health. Once the extra health bar number reaches 0, the Exo Shell is destroyed, and the debuff will disappear. While "Exo Shell" is active, you will not be able to use Sulfur coat until Exo Shell is removed. The only way Exo shell can be removed is by cryo pod, or by getting destroyed. X - Sulfur Rain Gastonia vigorously shakes off the fresh Sulfur goop it jut applied to its spikes. Your locked in place while using this move. Gastonia shakes off the Sulfur goop for 6 seconds. During the 6 seconds it releases 10 small sulfur goop projectiles that work similarly to Magmasaurs cluster bomb move. When each projectile hits the ground, it turns into a goop puddle. The projectiles go in random directions in the general area of Gastonia. When you step on the puddles, you take 90 damage every 0.4 seconds (Does not scale with Melee). You also get a debuff called "Hot feet!" which lowers your guard making you take 15% more damage. This debuff does not stack, and lasts for 5 seconds. However if you continue to stand on the puddles, it will continuously give you the debuff. The goop puddles last for 20 seconds. Cannot be used if Sulfur Coat or Sulfur Gas is active Costs 60 sulfur to use. Extras: Gastonia has 60% damage reduction due to its armored back filled with spikes. Gastonia's speed it similar to that of the Morellatops Gastonia poops congealed gas balls. Late game tame, saddle unlocked at level 90. 2150 health- 500 weight __________________________________________________________________________________ Some of it sounds OP, but you all need to remember that this is Extinction we're talking about here. I want Gastonia to be usable for Orbital supply drops. That's all for now, more will be polished up or added to the idea of Gastonia! Credits go to Mariana Ruiz - LadyofHats for the Gastonia Art used!

Dossier Common Name: Giant Camel Species: Megatylopus Adaptecus Time: Late Miocene - Late Pliocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Ornery WildMegatylopus Adaptecus, a species of camel, has the ability to survive in diverse habitats, from grasslands to deserts to snowy areas. Its large size and unique way of walking protect it from predators like direwolves and raptors, though it can defend itself with a strong kick or spit. Even the intimidating Carnotaurus is cautious around this species. It's massive stature and survivalist qualities made it a steadfast beast within Ragnarök. Domesticated Megatylopus is a valuable mount for those living in the desert or needing to cross snow-covered terrain. Its fur provides excellent insulation in freezing temperatures while its humps help regulate internal temperature. Mounting a Megatylopus gives a refreshing coolness, but domestication attempts may result in camel-spit in the face. It's rumored these animals can produce an incredible milk, a somewhat delicious and hearty meal to those without the appropriate resources to sustain themselves. Durable working-beasts are Megatylopus from incredible resource-haulers to boons in one's own survival, a survivor can never falter in the heat or cold with these beasties. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Potential Base Stats and Spawning Health: 525 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 250 Food: 3,000 Weight: 650 Melee Damage: 35 Bite | 50 Kick | 25 Spit Torpidity: 1,020 Megatylopus spawns within Ragnarok’s various grasslands, the dangerous snow-habitats, and the Greener Desert. The variety of habitats that Ragnarok presents allows them to inhabit dozens of areas without an issue. But depending on the environment taming them becomes harder vs. another region. Taming How to tame a titanic uber-camel that doesn’t like to be bothered? You feed them a meal-time favorite and hope they don’t smash your face in with a hoof or smear your face with their saliva. Unlike a typical herbivore, these animals favor cactus sap, after your regularly scheduled kibble of course. Their survivalist tendencies to eat anything too difficult or putrid for anything else is a boon to them after all. Abilities & Functions Explained Insulation - The Camel has insulation, applying an insulation buff to it’s rider, the camel can protect from varying climates. In particular, the snow and desert, in which it likes to inhabit the most. So you're safe from the murder-snow with fur-armor and a giant camel to ride on, and you'd be decent at maneuvering fast there, while in the desert you can remain cool in even flak on the camel. Weight-Reduction - Adobe is somewhat a boon in the desert areas of the map, an animal that can maneuver a ton of cactus sap, clay, and sand without issue is always a benefit. A nice 25% weight reduction on the resources all those good-ol resources to be transported without an issue. Sandstorm Immunity - Megatylopus is a massive camel, camels inhabit the harshest of environments because they're built to survive. A sandstorm won't bother a Megatylopus and it's massive self. Camel Spit - The Camel, in fact spits a mouthful of unmentionable gunk, the mixture is exceedingly wretched to have in the face. Which inflicts a slow and blinding effect like the dilophosaurus venom. Camel Milk - A female Megatylopus can be milked, the milk that is provided can provide a mixture of food and water to a survivor. Essential in a survival situation if you're running low on your supplies, it's said camel milk can allow a traveler to survive a month without anything else. Small-Predator avoidance - a lot of the desert & tundra have a bunch of small carnivores, direwolves to terror-birds. So, the massive camel at around 18 ft at the shoulder is of course an impressive and dangerous animal. So of course a reasonable creature would in fact, not want to bother something that is easily able to shatter their skull.
