Chameleon the elegant and colorful lizard with so much ability, they can change it skin color to blend with nature and almost impossible to spot them. their main weapons is their tongue which they lunch it like bow and arrow and hit the target so quickly and pull them towards their mouth, they can also climb rapidly and easy, if you want this colorful and beautiful lizard by your side you have to steal their egg in the wild which there is various of them with different ability's they are aggressive and their skin color become brighter when they are in bad mood survivors need to be approach them when they are calm . Jackson Chameleon *suitable for desert biome Its look like a tree triceratops which they grow three horns they can ram other creature they use for defense/attack and they do bleeding damage and brake bond slow other creatures *parason chameleon suitable for forest biome ability they can get buffs and ability by killing insects and bugs for ex if you kill glowbug with chameleon you can recharge battery with it or if you kill other insect you can get healing buff speed buff damage reduction buff etc. also they can pull survivors off there mount and prevent flyer from flying away because of there saliva and sticky tongue which work jus like sticker glue you can also give this lizard dye to change their color . Frost chameleon this species live in cold biome and can heal other creatures by load it mouth with water and spray the creature to heal it or use it as weapon to freeze enemies and kill them

Parasitic Fungi/Mushroom tame Paleoophiocordyceps
BeastTamerRed posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
My idea isn't so much an animal as a parasitic fungi. I belive it fits in perfectly with the mushroom riddled caves that are aberration. The creature is covered in mushrooms and has a mycelium pattern on its belly along with having stong damagy arms. Abilities: Infection. once tamed the creature would have the ability to infect eggs of other tames. this would cause the infected tames to have mushrooms growing out of there head but instead of killing them the fungi benifits them. they gain the imunitys of the mushroom creature as well as being buffed in other ways. Climb and Jump. The creature would have the ability to climb cliffs and walls and jump a significant distant much like the dinopithecus. Mycelium buff. Its a healing buff for any infected tames. trees use the mycelium network to comunacate and can even send nutruants to each other, I like the idea of tames being healed in a simaler way by the mycelium network they are connected to, hence the name. Spores. The creature would have an AOE spore attack simaler to the blue spores that kill you in aberration. Immunitys. The creature has immunitry to spores, blue spores, radiation, shock, poison. these immunitys are extended to infected tames and any player riding the creature except radiation for the player. RIdeable Taming. You can tame your own mushroom creature buy sacrificing one of your tames to a special mushroom. who then shortly die and a baby mushroom creature imerges that you have to raise. once tamed you can infect fertalised eggs those tames will grow mushrooms for there heads and have forementioned abilites. I wanted to make a creature that would rival reapers and rock drakes while being different and fitting into ab. Mushrooms came to mind and Cordyceps quickly after as most people know of it from the last of us blowing. I like the idea of the mushroom creature being amphibian or toad like, being somewhere between a gatcha and a rock elemental and having bulking stron forearms which is why I tried to draw it like that. -
Introducing Blue Glaucus. A friendly little buddy to help you on your adventure to the treacherous caverns, caves, and corners of Aberration. Wild: Blue Glaucus can be found in the bioluminescent zone, specifically in the water. Their diet consists of bio toxin which they are passively fed. After feeding these adorable blobs, they have the tendency to zip away quickly in the water and will only accept food again upon revisiting the surface. This presents a problem for anyone hoping to recruit this comrade, as most creatures see this fella as a quick easy meal. Tamed: Not only is this little guy cute, but the radiation of aberration has gifted this bugger with some rather interesting abilities. Much like many creatures of Ab, Ol’ Blue has found a way to project light from his body, allowing survivors and tames alike to see with ease. Blue Glaucus has also increased in size from its original counterpart and has evolved to sustain life on land or water indefinitely. They can be placed upon a persons shoulder, but have adapted to be able to mold to a person no matter where you put them. When bio toxin is placed in its inventory, using it’s tipped fins, he can latch onto many creatures when thrown, injecting them with a surprisingly very strong sedative before depleting it’s food source and needing eat to replenish its venom. Surprisingly enough, when placed on a survivors head, Blue can also filter air within a small radius, making gaseous toxins no longer a threat to a survivor. When placed on the survivors hands, it will cling to walls, almost as if it were a pair of climbing picks. When placed on the survivors torso, it will spread its fins allowing the player to glide across certain death. When placed upon a survivors legs, it will flap its fins downward, allowing a survivor to jump much higher than before. When placed on a survivors feet, it will straiten its fins and act as a pair of flip flops. Certainly an exploring tame-seekers best buddy. When placed on the ground, Blue can be set to “trap mode” acting almost as if it were a bear trap, to which it will fold its fins upward to latch onto unsuspecting creatures. As if the mentioned abilities weren’t enough, the things produce “slug venom” which can be milked and stored as a replacement for nameless venom.

Panthera tigris trinilensis, Thyla upgrade!
Skyish6 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Panthera tigris trinilensis, known as the Trinil tiger, is an extinct tiger subspecies dating from about 1.2 million years ago that was found at the locality of Trinil, Java, Indonesia. The fossil remains are now stored in the Dubois Collection of the National Museum of Natural History in Leiden, the Netherlands. Although these fossils have been found on Java, the Trinil tiger is probably not a direct ancestor of the Javan tiger. The Trinil tiger probably became extinct 50,000 years ago. The Bali tiger was also not closely related to the Trinil because of their time differences.Panthera-tigris-trinilensis1-738x591.jpg.b43a0292a95ff0789d6af4d2f0ccbaf9.jpg Saddle You will have to lay down on the saddle holding handles at the shoulder, with your feet in stirrups at the back. Gathers 1. Raw Meat 2. Raw prime meat 3. Mutton 4. Keratin 5. Chitin 6. Silica pearls Drops 1. Raw Meat 2. Tiger claws 3. Hide 4. Pelt Abilities 1. Bleed effect, a slash with it's claws that will cause a bleed effect ,on smaller creatures it will give an infection instead 2. Pounce, a stealth pounce where the tiger can sneak up on creatures and pounce on them dealing 2x damage. 3. Bite, just a standard bite. 4. Leap, very long leap to cover very long distances and hights to crops canyon's. 5. Roar , fear roars medium sized creatures, but will cause nearby small creatures like dodos and lystrosaurs and Mosschops to attack its Target 6. Fur slows descent to glide and decrease fall damage. Taming You must find the tiger while it's sleeping, and feed it while it's sleeping, wear ghillie while doing this. This is not a knockout tame! Trigonotarbid! The Megachelon of the Desert!
DarksideGamer333 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Trigonotarbida - Wikipedia Palaeocharinus - Wikipedia Trigonotarbida is a family of extinct arachnids. Distinguished by their bulky look and segmented armored plates. My design for this Trigonotarbid is based off of Palaeocharinus, decided to go with Trigonotarbid as I believe it's a better name. (Tell me if I need to change that in the comments) APPEARANCE & SPAWN This one in particular is a bit larger than a real Trigo, but since when does ARK stay true to sizes? In comparison, the Trigonotarbid would be identical to the Megachelon in size. Trigonotarbids typically have dark orange hue to them, similar to sand, but occasionally, they can appear in other colors such as white, light orange, red, or by rare chance, blue or even black! You can find younger, less experienced Trigos in open areas on the map, usually grouped together in small packs. However, higher leveled, older Trigos can be found in the outer region of the desert, where the most corpses can be found, yet where the most dangerous predators can be found too. SADDLE & TAME METHOD Trigonotarbids, like Megachelons, have natural platform saddles, which would be a game-changer for SE due to the lack of platform-saddle creatures on the map. Their saddle also acts as a mortar and pestle. Trigos, despite their size and apperance, are strictly scavengers, and only feed on corpses or near dying creatures (make sure not to leave a weakened creature nearby!). Their taming method is the same, requiring you to bring corpses of creatures to them in order to tame. Level, Size, and time it takes to consume all influence taming effectiveness. However, Trigos have huge appetites! They can down many corpses before they're full, so make sure to bring plenty to tame one! ACTIVE ABILITIES Like most arachnids(except aranoes lmao), Trigos can climb on vertical surfaces, which is surprising given their size! The powerful legs of this spider can also kick creatures away (kick direction dependent on camera). These titans can also jump, which can lead into a ground-slam, dealing massive damage to anything underneath! Since they feed on corpses, obviously they can drag corpses around. (which could make taming higher level Trigos easier ;>) They also can do a simple bite attack, but more impressively, they can rear up on their hind legs(like a tarantula today) and deal a heavy bite, both biting attacks also give poison. Rearing on their hind legs can be cancelled, in case a creature flees from the sheer sight of this stance (most creatures under the size of a Rex will) PASSIVE ABILITIES The colors of Trigonotarbids tend to look similar to rocks, so creatures are less likely to attack them. Jug Bugs often seek Trigos as shelter, Jug Bugs hide under Trigos for safety. The heavy shell of Trigos are incredibly durable, arrows and bullets are pretty much useless to harm these guys! Every now and then, a Trigo will molt and produce "Trigo Molt", this shell works similar to shell fragments! Lastly, they'll produce organic polymer, like vomit, this removes any unwanted substances from their stomachs. HARVESTING CAPABILITY Trigonotarbid legs, due to their strength, can take down trees, cacti, and smash rocks with ease! These 3 resources, and sand, all have weight reductions of 60%. DIET Wild Trigonotarbids, as mentioned before, eat only corpses and weak creatures. However, tamed Trigonotarbids can eat meat. BREEDING Trigonotarbids can only breed during the hottest areas and days (or when temperature exceeds 60). They only mate during these times due to other creatures hiding from the heat, so it's safe to do such a vulnerable act. TLDR: Bigass Spider Feed corpses to tame(higher level + larger creature = faster tame) Can Jump Basic Bite Heavy Bite (rear up on hind legs) Can scare creatures smaller than Rex (when reared up on hind legs) Can Ground-Slam High-Knockback kick Common Color Variations: Sandy Orange, Light Sandy Orange, Red, and White Rare Color Variations: Blue and Black Carries a Ton Strong Armor Can Climb Walls Harvests Stone, Sand, Cactus Sap, and Wood 60% weight reduction on above Jug Bug Lure Less likely to be targeted (camouflaged) Natural Platform Saddle (similar to Megachelon) Saddle acts as Mortar and Pestle Lower Levels inside of the map Higher Levels on outer edges of the map Only breeds when temperature is over 60 degrees Aggros on low health creatures Can Drag Corpses Tamed can eat meat Spawn grouped with 2 others CONCLUSION: VOTE FOR BIG ENEMY SPIDER! Even though the winner of the previous vote was a bug, we still need more useful Arthropods in ARK! P.S. Feel free to recommend other features in the comments! (Art done by me <3) -
Arbanitis (giant trapdoor/gliding spider)
Spacemonkey943 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The arbanitis is a giant trapdoor spider Local to the desert area, such as scorched earth, this giant spider lives in small burrows that survivors try to take over to build small bases to hide from the weather. They posses a stunning bite which they use most by striking from under ground after burrying themselves. They also posses the ability to jump large distances and have limited glide ability and take no fall damage. They can also climb on walls and ceilings. When tamed these spiders make an excellent travel companion with there ability to glide and make taming easier with there torpor inducing bite. You would find these buried in the sand in small pocket burrows that your p/c could build a small shelter out of the weather in. -
The Ceratosuchops is a large Therapod that lived during the Cretaceous period. It is a close relative to the Baryonix. It lives in shallow lakes and rivers and primarily eats herbivores such as Parasaurs or Morellatops or small fish like Coels. On Scorched Earth this dino would inhabit the dried up river running down the middle of the map and is rarely spotted at the ponds below the obelisks. To tame the Cerato just knock it out and feed it meat. It doesn't prefer fish over normal meat and both act the same. Once tamed the Cerato requires a saddle to ride. The Cerato has a small jump comparable to a Raptor and a bite with similar damage to a Baryonix. The real power of the Cerato comes from its Mud Dive ability. Similar to a Basilisk you can bury underground with the Mud Dive ability. When you are underground you lose oxygen. The only way to take a Cerato out of the ground is to use a dinosaur with a stomp attack or a Wyvern wing flap. When the Cerato is submerged its head sticks up out of the ground and a trail of dirt follows behind it when it moves. While using the Mud Dive the Cerato can jump out of the ground using its Leap attack and hit and stun most creatures in the game. When a Flying creature is stunned it gains the Torn debuff. While a flying creature is Torn it cannot take off and has reduced speed, this effect would only last a few seconds. The Cerato would have a Leap and Mud Dive cooldown. It would be Similar to a Baryonix in terms of raising and stats. Although it seems simple I think the Cerato would be a fun and useful tame used by many players no matter the way they play. (I'm not an artist that is not my picture, all credit goes to Teratophoneus.)

Name: Segnosaurus Diet: Herbivore Genus: therizinosaurid Height: 6 meters Weight: 1.4 tons Time period: Late Cretaceous The Segnosaurus would a be a combination of a medium tank herbivore, and a medium mount carnivore like the baryonyx. This will be a semi quick run down on the Segnosaurus design, abilities, nature, and taming method. Design The design is of course based off of the real Segnosaurus, but also based off of modern day peacocks. The male Segnosaurus will be very vibrant in colors having multitude of colors; mainly colors that are natural to peacocks so that color mutations can still be noticed. Also like peacocks the female would be dull in color, and this will be important for taming. The Segnosaurus will also be extremely feathery, being almost completely covered in feathers with more around the arms, hands, and tail. Abilities 1. The first ability is rather simple, the ability to have a slight jump giving a bit more movement over most other tanky herbivores 2. The second ability will be to scoop up smaller creatures (E.x. Dodos, or shoulder mounts) and hold them in its claws. Its claws will be together in a hammock fashion with the creature on top. When holding a creature the Segnosaurus will attack with its mouth doing slightly less damage. 3. The third and final ability is what I call “fearful feathers” in which the Segnosaurus will do a roar/call and puff up its feathers, and widen its tail feathers like a peacock. This ability will give the fear affect to smaller creatures, having them run away. Not only this the Segnosaurus will enter a “attack mode” for a short time, this mode will give the Segnosaurus’s attacks armor piercing with in the mode. This mode will end when the feathers on the Segnosaurus relax and it goes back to a normal size. This mode will activate untamed and can be activated when tamed, and when activated the player with still have full control of the Segnosaurus. Nature In the wild the Segnosaur’s aggressiveness will depend on what is attacking or near it. If a wild dinosaur attacks the Segnosaurus it will attack back like neutral herbivore, this also applies to tamed creatures. The difference is when the player is near, if the player is wearing nothing, cloth, hide, or fur the Segnosaurus will remain neutral and not attack; if the player is wearing: desert cloth, ghillie, chitin, or flak the Segnosaurus will detect the player a threat activate fearful feathers, and attack the player; if the player is wearing: Scuba, hazard suit, riot, or TEK the Segnosaurus will detect the player as a threat acting fearful feathers, but run away, because it knows the player is too far advanced for the Segnosaurus to kill you. Taming The Segnosaurus will have a pretty unique way to tame it: 1. If the Segnosaurus is male you will need to color your armor dull colors to attract it, if the Segnosaurus is female you will need to color your armor bright colors to attract it. The player willl be able to tell if it’s attracted by a minor call the Segnosaurus will do. After the Segnosaurus approaches you depending on which gender your taming will determine what you do next. If you are taming a male it will initiate a “mating dance” once it does it’s dance the player will need to passive feed the Segnosaurus it’s preferred food than do an emote to accept the dance, than repeat these steps till tamed. Taming a female will be nearly the same except that the player will have to initiate the dance, so the female Segnosaurus will approach the player, and the player will have to passive feed it the preferred food, and do an emote to initiate the dance, than the female will dance and repeat the emote and feed pattern. Preferred food: Exceptional kibble, Can be tamed with berries Drops: Keratin, prime meat, meat, and hide (Image inspired by Jurassic World The Game)
