  1. 🎨- hodarinundu Common Name: Giant Camel Species: Megatylopus Adaptecus Time: Late Miocene - Late Pliocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Contrary Wild: Megatylopus is a large extinct species of camel. they are well built up to survive in harsh diverse locations. you can spot them in a variety of different habitats from the desserts to the cold snowy areas and to the grasslands in-between. These creatures are a lot more surprising than they appear too, at first glance you might think that they are harmless, however they actually have quite a bad temperament. I have heard stories about how contrary they can be, they have very powerful kicks and surprisingly enough they spit too. They might even bite you, so be careful. With how large these camels are it seems that small creatures don't really approach or disturb them. When you spot the Megatylopus, others normally are not too far away, you can often find them in herds. Domesticated: These Giant camels are quite valuable if you can manage to tame one, when they warm up to you there actually pretty loyal however, sometimes they still might occasionally spit on you so you do got to be careful not to upset them. these camels have evolved and adapted over time and make great travel companions, they even can keep a survivor warm in colder climates. I have heard rumours of them being able to produce a delicious milk that is able to not only sustain survivours but tames and creatures also. Abilities: Camel milk - camels can be milked to provide nutritional milk suitable for both survivors which it provides them with both food and water, and can be fed to baby dinosaurs. it would help dinosaurs grow healthier and keep them fuller for longer. Insulation - these camels can keep survivors warmer in different climates so they provide an insulation buff to the rider. Toxic Spit - these camels have adapted over time and I am not sure if its something the ark caused, but their saliva seems to have an effect that causes those who have been spat on to become super drowsy super fast, try not to get spit on to much or you will pass out. Weight reduction - when saddled its very impressive how much these camels are able to carry! they are very efficient in carrying things across long distances at ease. They have a weight reduction on all resources. Drops: Raw meat Hide Taming: So taming these creatures involves a silly little method. First you would want to make sure that you are in a safe area, if the area is not safe you would want to either clear the area or lure it to somewhere safe. They will be able to sense/smell the food you have for taming them. Then you actually want to anger it by by not giving it the food quick enough so it gets annoyed and spits on you, knocking you unconscious and then it will take some of the food from your inventory. you want to repeat this process until you have tamed it. then you will have your very own giant camel. Saddle Concept: Two different versions of saddles, One being a platform saddle which surviors can build upon. The other being a simple saddle that could hold up to two surivors, with an option to add various attachments such as planters to the saddle which could work as a portable crop plot. so you can plant and grow your own crops on the go. see more about camels here at these sources i used: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelops https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/the-giant-camels-of-the-prehistoric-high-arctic 🎨- https://www.instagram.com/hodarinundu/?hl=en https://revolutionsintrade.weebly.com/the-camel-saddle/the-camel-saddle
  2. Dracorex Ingens: Within the untamed landscapes of the Earth, the Dracorex stands as a formidable testament to nature's artistry in creation. Its presence is a harbinger of primal force, a creature whose very demeanor exudes an aura of unwavering aggression. One cannot help but be captivated by the eerie magnificence of this horned enforcer. Taming the Dracorex is a feat demanding both daring and cunning. To claim dominion over this fierce beast, one must undertake the audacious endeavor of stealing its precious egg, nurturing it to hatch, and then nurturing the newborn with the corrupted nodules that epitomize the Ark's enigmatic essence. Once tamed, the Dracorex reveals its true prowess, each ability echoing its wild nature. Its resplendent head adorned with formidable horns serves as more than mere ornamentation - it becomes a weapon of unyielding force. The Dracorex is capable of unleashing headbutts upon its adversaries, the very touch of its horns leaving a lingering mark that inflicts relentless bleeding. The ingenious adaptation of retractable spikes endows the creature with remarkable versatility, allowing it to switch between modes - one to induce bleeding, the other for torpidity, much like the versatile plates of a Stegosaurus. Yet, there is more to the Dracorex than brute force alone. Its battle-hardened hide insulates those in its vicinity, providing refuge from the elements akin to the mighty Dire Bear. In a display of primal might, it charges forth like a raging tempest, sending adversaries skyward, much like the legendary bull of old. The Dracorex's connection with the corrupted realm is undeniable. The very essence of corruption seems to amplify its power. Feeding the beast a few corrupted nodules awakens its bloodlust, causing its prowess to surge beyond measure, mirroring the transformative effects observed in the Ferox. This phenomenon, though uncanny, serves as a testament to the Ark's arcane underpinnings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General overview: This dinosaur can be tamed by stealing an egg from one of its nests, much like wyverns, then feeding it corrupted nodules. It is an extremely aggressive creature that will stop for nothing to chase its enemy. It has a horned head that houses retractable spikes which can cause bleed and torpor. In addition, when a survivor feeds the Draco enough corrupted nodules, it goes in a frenzy, with a +50% boost to all of its stats. Its scales provide insulation to survivors around it. Physical description: The Draco is between the size of a Carno and an Allo. It also has a spined ridge on its back and spikes close to its thighs, and more on its neck. It has two big horns that point forwards, like a bull. The Dracorex also has some of the corrupted purple veins, but it doesn't follow the hive mind. Abilities detailed descriptions: Bloodlust mode: When the Draco eats a corrupted module, it gets absolutely ferocious, having a +50% boost to all of its stats. Insulation boost: The Dracorex’s fur allows a survivor to cuddle close to him and warm up in cold areas. Headbutt: Switch between torpor and bleed mode. The bleed inflicts damage on the creature, while the other mode deals torpor to creatures. Corrupted conquest: The Draco deals extra damage to corrupted creatures. Thanks to NLONF for the art and OccasionallyMalicious for the description of the Dracorex!
  3. Name: Japanese sea lion Species: Zalophus japonicus Time: 1970’s Diet: Carnivore/Piscivore Temperament: Friendly, Playful Sea lions are known by their exterior ear flaps, their long fore flippers, and a big chest and belly. They have a thick layer of short fur that covers a thick layer of blubber which keeps them warm in the sea. Wild: You will be able to spot these aquatic mammals spending there day relaxing on the ark’s beaches/coasts or swimming through the sea hunting for their desired food, they these versatile hunters can be found hunting alone or in packs, they are able to catch fish and other small marine creatures at ease. They are very playful social animals you may even see them playing with each other, you might even spot them swimming and playing with the dolphins. I have heard from other tribes that they are so friendly that they would even swim right up and try to befriend you. I also heard stories about how these creatures have been spotted saving those at sea. These sealions have adapted to be agile, not only are they able to navigate the sea at great speed just like the Ichthyosaurus, but they too can move decently on land also. Domesticated: Once you have tamed one, they become a valuable companion, there swimming abilities make them an excellent water exploration mount. They seem to be able to sense when people are in danger and are quick to notify and aid those in need. over time they create oil just like the basilo/tuso. Abilities and features these are just some of the idea’s I had imagined for some features of Zalophus. Lifeguard: this would be a sense allowing them to detect when a survivor is in low in oxygen and in danger. Breath of fresh air: Zalophus can blow bubbles which will replenish survivor’s oxygen, giving them that extra time to make it to the surface. Air/healing bubbles: a separate ability when they spin/splash about in the sea creating air bubbles with a range around Zalophus, these air bubbles could act providing air to multiple survivors/tames for a period of time within the bubble range, it could also have a healing affect within that range and only for this ability. Insulation: Since their body is made up of thick blubber with an added layer of short fur to keep them warm, I think they should be able to provide a insulation to keep survivors warmer in the cold sea Shock resistant: since they have thick blubber it could make them resistant to the shocks of eels and jellyfish. Oil supply: naturally generates oil after a period of time. agile swimmers: are incredibly fast and can navigate the sea very well. pack boost: with other sealions/Ichthyosaurus. Perform: They are able to preform a clapping animation that gives passive xp to nearby dinosaurs. Behavior: The sea lions are not aggressive until they are attacked, they are super friendly and will even approach survivors. If attacked, they can fight back by biting or with a fin/tail thump. Drops: Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Oil Blubber Taming: Since they are so friendly and playful One must first toss them a fish to feed them and start the taming process, afterwards you must swim alongside them (either freely alongside them or mounted kind of like the Equus/diplocaulus but maybe with one had around them swimming with them) and repeat the process, until you have tamed your very own sealion. 4. Name: Fox Species: Vulpes quizhudingi Time: Pliocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Skittish to Curious Wild: Found around their Direwolf cousins, Vulpes quizhudingi is a more skittish yet curious vulpine, having survived the harshest of winters and arctic biomes. Notoriously little thieves as they steal food from unsuspecting survivors, and can make off with incomparable speed. They are extremely sought for pelt, as they can grow their fur to become warmer, but shed their fur in warmer climates. Taming: If a fox gets curious enough to walk up to a survivor, they can take advantage of the moment and feed it, though it will take off to eat before coming back for more. Repeating this process makes the fox more comfortable to be around the survivor to be petted. Domesticated: With a fox, their fluffy coats are heavily insulated and can act like a shoulder "scarf", helping struggle through the absolute zero temperatures of many arctic biomes. If fed special kibble or allowed to kill smaller animals, the fox may locate a digging spot and excavate whatever was left behind, such as weapons and armor. If your fox becomes too hot in warmer environments, you can use scissors to cut their fur down to help maintain their happiness. They are also very good at repelling smaller critters like the Microraptor and even the thieving seagulls. Like their Direwolf cousins, the Vulpes can sniff the area for loot caches. Art credit goes to PyroAnimus ARK Meta: Shoulder Insulation: In especially colder environments, the Arctic fox can keep survivors warm, depending how much its fur has grown back from a shedding. If you and your fox get too hot, be sure to cut their fur with scissors so you can still take it with you. Loot Digger: Similar to the ARK-aeology event with the fossil dig spots, when you feed foxes eggs, the fox can track random dig spots that occur around the world, eventually excavating a dog spot for the survivors to take whatever items was dug up. In PVP, the fox can really help you find loot crates buried in the ground, if chances are they are inaccessible due to many tribes taking them over, not solely relying on one specific position, making loot tracking wherever you'd like. Depending on the egg you feed the fox, from basic to large eggs, will range in whatever items your fox will dig up in quality, basic eggs to common items, large eggs to become a random chance to be an ascendant loot dig. Stealth Pouncer/Anti-Thief: Like its modern counterpart, the Vulpes can pounce on smaller creatures such as dodos, glowpets and even the Microraptor. The fox can also pounce at incoming thieving dinosaurs like the Pegomastax and Ichthyornis when you least expect it, or even stop bugs who dare come too close. Scent Tracker/Silent Alarm: Like their Direwolf cousins, they can sniff the area around for potential threats and alert the players if a large predator or another survivor is nearby. (suggestion by PyroAnimus) Duck Hunting: While it may not be able to steal fertilized eggs like an Oviraptor, Vulpes are known to hunt Hesperornis like "ducks", if it successfully pounces one, especially a female, it will gain a temporary buff to increase chances of getting a Golden egg from one. If it kills plenty more Hesperornis, it may double, possibly triple your chances of getting more golden eggs from a female. If the golden egg acquired from a Vulpes, the experience gain will last longer. Breeding: Color morphs and patterns change in foxes when you domesticate them, so does their percentage in their best loot digs affecting what you have a higher chance of acquiring. Black Marble Fox: Getting a Vulpes with a black marble coat increases higher chances of digs being armor pieces/blueprints with better quality and less cost. If fed enough eggs, a rare chance of getting a TEK armor. Silver Fox: A Vulpes with a silver coat, a high percent chance of digging weapons and tools out of the ground. If fed enough eggs, a higher chance of digging a TEK weapon. Ota Fox: This breed has a very high chance of locating fertilized egg nest in the dirt, even pull out a hidden egg from a nest where you already took one out. Could pull out two or three dragon eggs or a Deinonychus nest too. Not recommended for the Rock Drake nest. Arctic Marble Fox: This breed has an increased chance of digging up lost saddles from the ancient battles of the ARK, some are basic but some could be more upgraded. If fed enough eggs, a higher chance of digging up a TEK saddle. Cross Fox: A 1% chance of acquiring a bred cross-fox pup. Its unique and rare crossbred color morph makes this Vulpes a unique dual-chance for any randomized loot dig, being armor, saddles, weapons, tools or even a fertilized egg from a wild dinosaur or other animal. Doubles your chances and % of acquiring a golden egg from a Hesperornis. (OPTIONAL) Biome variants: Red Fox - Redwood forests, grasslands, highlands Fennec Fox - Desert, arid regions
  5. Ark has a lot of creatures, but how many aquatic mammals do we have? Next to none. That's why I submit the Sea Cow. While it can be found on land, it mostly resides off the coast of the Center's snowy areas. Provide it insulating blubber to make it tanky and provide insulation from the cold. While it can go on land, it becomes slow, but why take it on land you wonder? I think, since some of ark's creatures have gone for more extreme saddles and abilities, give it some sort of cannon to mount onto the saddle, capable of being used on land and in water. My first thoughts were to give it some sort of arrow gattling gun, but then I had an idea. Make it an electric cannon, powered by bio toxin, whch in my opinion needs more uses in this game, cause every time I go to tame something, I will use tranq darts because they are cheaper and don't spoil. It will most definitely be faster in the water as well, the saddle providing the rider with oxygen. With the Andrewsarchus providing ark with a land based tank, and the Rhino essentially being a fighter copter, providing the Center with a sea based tank would be an amazing idea. Common Name: Sea Cow Species: Hydrodamalis gigas Time: Pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Defensive Domesticated While slow on land, the Sea Cow is faster in the water, letting it easily contend with some of the bigger ocean mounts, but the most unique feature is its ability to be immune from most creature inflictions. This makes it a perfect creature to harvest Bio Toxin, or at least without being shocked by the Jellyfish. To accommodate for its slowness, however, survivors have gone through advanced methods to attach an electric tesla cannon to the saddle, along with air tanks to assist with Spelunking. With the skill of harvesting bio toxin, survivors have used it as the primary source of ammunition of this cannon. This cannon can primarily be used to stun creatures for a short time, both in and out of the water. From what I’ve heard, this creature is a definite favorite for the two Ice Caves on the center Wild Native to the colder coast of the island, the Sea Cow is a territorial beast, known for lazily resting on both the beach and the shallow water. While it will defend itself from smaller threats, if it encounters something bigger than it, the Sea Cow will flee at a slow pace. Depending on where it is damaged by larger foes, it will try to escape to the opposite territory. It’s thick blubber helps with some of these situations, preventing it from bleeding or being caught on fire. Something survivors have come accustomed to is to run towards the Sea Cow, since it provides insulation, similar to a Basilosaurus. As long as they don’t attack it, it is quite a peaceful creature. Please note I intended to do a dossier, but I couldn't upload it. Do excuse this sloppyness
  6. Common Name: Allodesmus Species: Allodesmus demerei (or turgidus, meaning “blubber”) Time: Miocene Diet: Piscivore Temperament: Friendly Wild I’ve seen my fair share of pinnipeds off the coast of my lovely home in Australia, but these guys are something else. If you imagine a cross between a sea lion and an elephant seal, the Allodesmus turgidus is probably the one creature you might have in mind. These blubbery sea-fairing mammals can be found all around the coasts of the ARK, though their favorite spots are where Kairuku like to hunt, their favorite prey. The males are significantly larger than the females and have an inflatable snout that signifies their leader status. And with these snouts they can vocalize loudly to rally other members of their species. They are well adapted to the chilling waters of the north and deep below the sea, as their bodies are full of insulating blubber. If harvested properly, it can be used as a fuel source or can even be padded into your armor for extra insulation, for a brief period. And the blubber can be added to an inflatable device to help you ascend to the surface quickly in dire situations. Though they have ravenous appetites, they are quite playful around Survivors, and will sometimes pick up dropped items that anyone might have dropped in the sea and bounce it back at them. I’ve also heard reports of Allodesmus saving lost souls at sea from drowning or being attacked by underwater predators and will bring them back to the shoreline or boat. Talk about being a natural lifeguard! Though one should be aware of trying to escape the land predators as the Allodesmus may bring you right back to them unknowingly. Domesticated Taming an Allodesmus is an interesting task, as you must take advantage of their playful behavior. You’ll need to pass a feeder ball between you and the Allodesmus over and over to tame it successfully, almost like a game of hot potato. As arduous as it seems, it’s the only way I’ve seen it done. Though it’s truly worth the effort as the Allodesmus is a great insulator for freezing temperatures as you dive down into the depths of the ocean, and they are incredibly fast for their size. They can make tight turns underwater with such grace one would think they were dancing! They also possess a sonar that can detect lost items left behind in the ocean and can even pick up the bags for you, so you don’t have to dismount. From what I’ve seen tribes use them for, you could say these mammals are the wolves of the sea. Details PVE Males are considerably larger than females, with a more pronounced inflatable “trunk” and furrier collar! Males lead a pack of lower-level females and rarely males! Males can rally other creatures with its roar that includes a pack buff! Blubber can be used as fuel or attachable insulation for armor (used as an ammo slot, wears down over time). Recommended for ice caverns or deep ocean exploration! Blubber can also be used to craft inflatable vests that can help you ascend quickly to the surface! Will save Survivors that are drowning or lost at sea and bring them to shore or closest raft (drawback is that they will do this even if you are fleeing from predators on shore) Tamed Allodesmus can grab Survivors and small underwater creatures with its mouth, like Mantas and fish! Much slower on land, but very fast in the water, can do tight turns and barrel-rolls! Can receive a speed boost if following the wake of another creature! Riding an Allodesmus provides insulation to Survivors! Can harvest Silica Pearls and Black Pearls and more Organic Polymer from creatures. Also has weight reduction for said resources. Can detect and pick up lost bags in the ocean with sonar! PVP Males are usually tougher for undersea battles! Males can rally other creatures with its roar that includes a pack buff! Females are excellent scouts! Provides a pack bonus when in groups! Great for hit-and-run tactics! Taming Craft a Feeder Ball. Insert food item (Raw meat or fish meat, kibble, organic polymer?) Find an Allodesmus. Drop the Feeder Ball and it will pick it up and bounce it back to you. Play a game of hot potato until it is fully tamed! Males provide a more challenging game, so be sure to practice with the females! Feeder Ball can also be used for certain passive tames such as Mesopithicus, Gigantopithicus, Diploducus, etc. Allodesmus will be similar to how wolves hunt, but in the ocean. The males, being sexually dimorphic in size and with inflatable snouts, can have an alpha status with a group of Allodesmus and give an attack/defense buff with a bellow. Only higher level males can be the leader of a group of lower level Allodesmus and are more difficult to tame. Once killed and harvested for their blubber, the resource can be used for either fuel or attachable insulation for armor (this won’t take over the skin slot but be similar to an ammo slot). The blubber has a spoil timer though, and is only recommended for long excursions in the deep ocean or ice caves. The blubber can also be used for crafting an inflatable vest that will allow you to ascend to the surface quickly if the need arises! Wild Allodesmus won’t attack Survivors unless provoked, though if they see a Survivor actively drowning or being attacked by sea life, they will drag them to the surface and then to the closest shore or boat. As good as this may be, they will still do this even if a Survivor is trying to escape from a land predator into the water. Tamed ones however can grab Survivors and smaller creatures in the water, especially Mantas and other fish! They are semi-aquatic, but are mainly found in the water unless they are hunting Kairuku on land, to which they are somewhat slower, but fast enough to catch the flightless birds. Allodesmus are passively tamed, and you’ll need a new craftable item called the feeder ball to tame them. This item is equipped with a food item inside and can be tossed at Dinos for them to play with. In the case of Allodesmus, you’ll either need to insert raw fish or kibble into the ball and play a mini game of hot potato with it. Males are more competitive and will put up more of a challenge for Survivors. Once tamed however, they can be given a saddle and can be used as extra insulation for diving into the depths. They also have a weight reduction for silica pearls, black pearls, and organic polymer, and will have decent carry weight. They can also pick up dropped items that Survivors have left behind while riding so they don’t have to be dismounted. What’s more is that the males can provide a pack buff to nearby allies with its roar/bellow! And they can receive a speed buff from following the wake of another creature! If anyone has any other thoughts, feel free to comment below! 8. WILD:Dinornis, known affectionately as Moa, is a giant flightless bird found predominantly around the Island's mountains and forests, grazing on low-lying flora found within these habitats.A Moa stands tall at about 3 meters at the hip. Their impressive size keeps them safe from the Island's smaller predators. For those brave enough to attempt to hunt one, they lash out with furious kicks and pecks. Their long, nimble legs push the Moa to reach impressive speeds when fleeing from large predators.DOMESTICATED:There are two fundamental reasons to tame a Moa. Their incredible speed for exploration and their greater survivability compared to similarly-sized mounts. The broody nature of the Moa allows them to excel at caring for and incubating a tribe's eggs. When presented with an egg, a tamed Moa will immediately sit on it. It does come with risks as an incubating Moa parent will ignore threats, making them vulnerable. The feathers of a Moa are hydrophobic and retain heat efficiently, allowing the riders of the Moa to keep warm even when traveling through the coldest regions.
  9. Dossier Common Name: Giant Camel Species: Megatylopus Adaptecus Time: Late Miocene - Late Pliocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Ornery WildMegatylopus Adaptecus, a species of camel, has the ability to survive in diverse habitats, from grasslands to deserts to snowy areas. Its large size and unique way of walking protect it from predators like direwolves and raptors, though it can defend itself with a strong kick or spit. Even the intimidating Carnotaurus is cautious around this species. It's massive stature and survivalist qualities made it a steadfast beast within Ragnarök. Domesticated Megatylopus is a valuable mount for those living in the desert or needing to cross snow-covered terrain. Its fur provides excellent insulation in freezing temperatures while its humps help regulate internal temperature. Mounting a Megatylopus gives a refreshing coolness, but domestication attempts may result in camel-spit in the face. It's rumored these animals can produce an incredible milk, a somewhat delicious and hearty meal to those without the appropriate resources to sustain themselves. Durable working-beasts are Megatylopus from incredible resource-haulers to boons in one's own survival, a survivor can never falter in the heat or cold with these beasties. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Potential Base Stats and Spawning Health: 525 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 250 Food: 3,000 Weight: 650 Melee Damage: 35 Bite | 50 Kick | 25 Spit Torpidity: 1,020 Megatylopus spawns within Ragnarok’s various grasslands, the dangerous snow-habitats, and the Greener Desert. The variety of habitats that Ragnarok presents allows them to inhabit dozens of areas without an issue. But depending on the environment taming them becomes harder vs. another region. Taming How to tame a titanic uber-camel that doesn’t like to be bothered? You feed them a meal-time favorite and hope they don’t smash your face in with a hoof or smear your face with their saliva. Unlike a typical herbivore, these animals favor cactus sap, after your regularly scheduled kibble of course. Their survivalist tendencies to eat anything too difficult or putrid for anything else is a boon to them after all. Abilities & Functions Explained Insulation - The Camel has insulation, applying an insulation buff to it’s rider, the camel can protect from varying climates. In particular, the snow and desert, in which it likes to inhabit the most. So you're safe from the murder-snow with fur-armor and a giant camel to ride on, and you'd be decent at maneuvering fast there, while in the desert you can remain cool in even flak on the camel. Weight-Reduction - Adobe is somewhat a boon in the desert areas of the map, an animal that can maneuver a ton of cactus sap, clay, and sand without issue is always a benefit. A nice 25% weight reduction on the resources all those good-ol resources to be transported without an issue. Sandstorm Immunity - Megatylopus is a massive camel, camels inhabit the harshest of environments because they're built to survive. A sandstorm won't bother a Megatylopus and it's massive self. Camel Spit - The Camel, in fact spits a mouthful of unmentionable gunk, the mixture is exceedingly wretched to have in the face. Which inflicts a slow and blinding effect like the dilophosaurus venom. Camel Milk - A female Megatylopus can be milked, the milk that is provided can provide a mixture of food and water to a survivor. Essential in a survival situation if you're running low on your supplies, it's said camel milk can allow a traveler to survive a month without anything else. Small-Predator avoidance - a lot of the desert & tundra have a bunch of small carnivores, direwolves to terror-birds. So, the massive camel at around 18 ft at the shoulder is of course an impressive and dangerous animal. So of course a reasonable creature would in fact, not want to bother something that is easily able to shatter their skull.
  10. Edaphosaurus mimos is a small creature in comparison to most of Arks critters. Being comparable to Phiomia in size (if you ignore the sail on its back) it doesn't look like much at first glance. However, this animal just like its relative, Dimetrodon, has the ability to change temperature around. Though Edaphosaurus has perfected this ability to the point where it can weaponize it. Taming Taming is a bit of a mix between Gacha and Moschops. First you need to walk up to Edapho and check what would it want to eat right now (that can range from raw meat and berried to stuff like tree sap and rare flowers) and drop the desired food on the ground close to the creature. It will then make its way towards the dropped items and eat them, forcing the taming bar to gain progress. Repeat a few times and you should have your own Edaphosaurus in no time. Utility This creature can launch heat and cold impulses around itself setting enemies on fire or slowing and freezing them respectively. This ability is especially useful in caves since heat impulse does extra damage to insects and arachnids, while the cold one downs fliers like bats, while damaging them of course. Both of these attacks also cause Purlovias to unburrow from the ground and makes them unable to pounce players and tames for a bit after that. These impulses cause such high changes to temperature of the surrounding area that anyone not affected by insulation buff could experience a quick death from hyper-/hypothermia. To assure that other Edaphosauruses or their riders don't get in this situation, Edaphos grant its rider insulation. These creatures and their riders are also completely immune to weather effects like blizzards, sandstorms or heat waves. When they're not using any of their temperature attacks, they're able to mask their body temperature, making them unnoticable to most wild creatures. Be wary that these folks shouldn't be used for hatching eggs like Dimetrodons. Edapho can only cause extreme heat and cold so most eggs will start losing health really fast when they're around those creatures, but eggs that require extreme temperature, like Wyvern or Rock Drakes, will hatch faster than usual. In terms of stats they have high health and decent weight. Reasonable amounts of stamina to balance their abilities a bit, but running doesn't consume any of it. Additonal Info - Edaphosaurus has a saddle with two seats (one on each side of the sail). - This creatures has sexual dimorphism in the form of sail patterns. - Its a docile omnivore. Note I hope you liked my idea for this creature and that I didn't make it too OP. Feel free to comment your thoughts below and your own ideas as well. (pls don't hurt me for that Edaphosaurus art, I know I'm not the best at drawing)
