Creature Vote Suggestion - Belgian Draft Horse
Spraggz posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Hey everyone, Long time player, first time poster. I've been keeping up with the creature votes over the last couple months and it has been great to see some really unique creatures come in! I've been trying to figure out if i could have some input into what could possibly be useful or unique enough to draw some attention. I finally came to the decision to make a submission but I need to get in some post before it becomes viable for the creature vote, so I'm doing this in advance in hopes to get some traction on it. My idea is a beefed up version of the Equus, i love the horses but I'm always at a loss for putting in the effort to tame them outside kinda just having one around. So I've tried to come up with an idea that makes a version of them much more appealing to me, and hopefully something that could work within the realm of the game. Welcome in the Belgian Draft Horse - Equus Ferus Caballus - Or some other name I can come up with to create some The idea would be to have a Carriage as a part of its saddle, that holds up to 2 horses - each horse bringing more speed and power. and the carriage itself becomes an all in one, Smithy access at the back and a portable sleeping bag, creating a makeshift portable base ( switching to "parked/turret mode ). I see this as being super unique being the only creature/tame that would work concurrently with another one the same saddle/carriage. The horses would build speed as you ride along and become an unstoppable force, doing massive knockback, light-medium damage, acting as a battering ram forcing its way out of harsh situations or smashing through potential road blocks (some structure damage and resource destruction). The better quality saddle/carriage the more ram damage it will do The sizing would be much bigger than the Equus that is currently roaming the plains of current Arks similar to the sense of how a Clydesdale is massive compared to modern day horses (which are always much bigger than they seem to be from the get go haha) My inspiration comes from that of the movie Van Helsing, and i think it would fit in quite well within the realm of Fjordur as we have the Vampire Bat Desmodus acting almost like that of the vampires from the movie. I've attached some reference pictures for some context but will be putting my own spin on the design in the next week or so, so hopefully I can give you all bit more of a better idea of what I'm imagining. (NOTE - I DONT OWN ANY OF THE RIGHTS TO THESE PICTURES, THEY ARE MEARLY BEING USED FOR CONTEXT) Happy to include input from others at this stage and hopefully make something unique that everyone can get around.- 2 replies

Tek Clydesdale. . Pair with stryder and pull from it's inventory for secondary dedicated storage link. Variants such as mobile chem bench, mobile teleporter pad, etc. Or selective farming variants only gather one type of item at a time at reduced weight. Place material in inventory and that is the only resource it will gather

tek saddle Brontotherium - The Beast of Thunder!
FutureBug96 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Creature info: Brontotherium is a huge rhino-like animal (it's biologically closer to horses) larger than woolly rhino, but smaller than mammoth. It's a late game herbivore made for destroying things, tanking hits and transporting heavy materials. It's also has 2 types of running: Normal run - around the speed of unridden rhino. Charging mode - builds momentum just like ridden rhino, creates a very loud running sound, makes brontotherium unstoppable by rocks, trees and even creatures (that are not immune to knockback). Gives armor piercing to it's attack. It also can instantly destroy stone tier structures, but can't damage higher tiers. Attacks: LMB: Head bump - deals around 50 damage. RMB: Quick rotation - makes brontotherium able to perform quick 180 degree rotation (just like the real world rhinos). C key: switches brontotherium run into charging mode. Ctrl key: Roar - can be used when running, gives a weight reduction and gathering boost to allies. Abilities: PvP oriented: Brontotherium is immune to any form of stun and can't be net when charging. It's also very hard skinned so bullets deal 50% less damage to it. It's also impossible to knock out because of torpor immunity. Can instantly destroy stone tier structures (and lower). Is immune to shadowmane poison. Lightning wyvern's lighning attack deals 50% less damage to it. Due to it's ability to rotate 180 degree (even when charging, however it loses all momentum when doing that) and being immune to stunning and poison, it can counter shadowmane's attacks. It can also have a TEK Saddle with power batteries. When brontotherium is charging (running) it charges the batteries (they use element as a fuel) and when it reaches full momentum it can use LMB attack to release a super charged blast. This super attack destorys every rock and tree around brontotherium and stuns for 5 seconds everything that was hit by the blast. It can also shut down Stryders, TEK generators and everything that requires electricity to run. To recharge the battery, brontotherium just needs to build maximum momentum again. PvE oriented: Brontotherium has a very good weight stat, making it viable as a transportation mount. It's not only fast, but also possesses a 50% weight reduction on some heavy resources (metal, stone, crystal, scrap metal, all the gem types and black pearls). It's very tanky and quite hard hitting creature, so it can be used to hunt alphas and even fight bosses! It's saddle has an armor plating look, to appear more badass. Roar can be used to give a 30 seconds buff that boosts weight reduction on allied dinos (for example argentavis can get +15% reduction on resources, giving in total 65% reduction on metal, crystal etc.). It will also boost the amount of resources that creatures can gather by 15%. Due to it's specialized lips, brontotherium can be enabled to wander around and gather very specific resources from bushes (like rare mushroom, flowers, silk, and even crops! Taming: To tame this massive beast, survivor needs to find it's baby in the wild (they do not grow up until tamed) and separate it from it's parent(s), as baby can only be tamed when it's alone. To tame the baby, survivor needs to protect it from predators, and anything that scares it. Occasionally baby will want some herbivore food (specific berry, crop, sap, or even veggie cake). The taming bar will progress each time a baby is defended and fed. When tamed, baby will start to grow up (it can't be imprinted) until it becomes an adult and can fainally be ridden! I am not the author of any of the images. Feel free to post your ideas/dossier ideas about this creature in the comment.-

My idea was to create a water dino, for a long time now I think that a strange and strong aquatic dino hasn't come out. I was inspired by the seahorse but with a different tail, like a merman or a mermaid, it will have two abilities. One is precisely linked to the tail, which by slamming it left and right creates a sort of aquatic shock wave that repels enemies and stuns them and moves them away (like the baryon but with a wider range) and the second ability could be connected to the nose, when the horse makes the noise it could release a spore of bubbles that slow down the enemy so that we can hit him with the hooves. Obviously this horse will not have oxygen it will be completely an aquatic animal and you could opt for a taming based on cactus sap in passive. Mine is just fantasy. So I honestly don't expect you to consider my creativity. However, hope is the last to die. I love ark and I don't want it to end just because ark2 comes out, they are two very different things in my opinion. ARK1 IN THE HEART. YOU ARE GREAT, KEEP LET US DREAM IN THIS FANTASTIC WORLD.❤️
