  1. Photo from https://aminoapps.com/c/urban-legends-cryptids/page/user/twistedspringtrap-21/kn6g_oYc4fkrXJJdn22pDKnxqL13RE22N Common Name: Xoloitzcuintli Species: Sanans Canis Time: Post Holocene Diet: Omnivorous Temperament: Friendly Wild: Xoloitzcuintli is an evolved species of domestic dog named after the breed it muted from after the holocene period. Xoloitzcuintli are commonly found in the wastes scavenging for food in small packs. Though they are primarily scavengers and carrion feeders, Xoloitzcuintli have developed incredibly tough skin to protect from UV radiation, making them surprisingly difficult to take out, especially in packs, making them quite capable of taking down small prey or defending themselves from predators when the time comes. Though they are wild animals, domestication is in their blood, and survivors have found them quite easy to befriend during treks in the wasteland so long as they're willing to share some food, making excellent temporary body guards for small caravans or stranded travelers. Domesticated: Those that have brought Xoloitzcuintli back to their homes have noticed another one of their remarkable adaptions that allowed them to survive in the wild; they can heal exceptionally fast while at rest. I've seen Xoloitzcuintli heal from injuries that would retire any other animal simply by relaxing for a few days. Even more extraordinarily, domesticated Xoloitzcuintli seem to have the ability to share this healing factor with humans, people that interact with Xoloitzcuintli have been seen healing from near mortal injuries at a rate that almost seems impossible, our medical bay keeps one or two of these guys on hand at all times. In short, their adaptions make tamed Xoloitzcuintli both excellent guard dogs, and faithful companions to the sick and injured Taming method: Beginning the taming process is as simple as initiating a passive tame, however once taming has begun it and any members of its pack will immediately begin acting as a tamed animal, following the player and defending them from threats so long as they have not gone too long without being fed, or the player doesn't leave the area. xoloitzcuintli will have an internal domestication timer that goes up the higher their taming percentage is, if you miss a feed early on it will wander off quickly, but if you are further into the taming process it will stay partially domesticated even if you die and return, so long as you don't take too long. You can also prolong the domestication timer without raising taming by petting the xoloitzcuintli, if you only want to use it as a temporary guard animal Abilities: In addition to a natural armor, tamed xoloitzcuintli can be pet to provide the player with a long lasting healing aura, which causes you to regenerate health significantly quicker until the buff wears off. xoloitzcuintli can also be told to sit, which will cause it to receive the same buff, they would also have a togglable option to rest when injured, allowing them to heal to full automatically after a fight
  2. We'll be back again, NEXT TIME SPACE COWBOY! No Need for Copycats, when Pangolin shall return in the next votes until success or the map is absolutely incorrect.
  3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- INTRODUCING----ANOMALOCARIS Anomalocaris are native to the waters of The Center, and can be found amongst shallow areas, as they are constantly on the prowl for trilobites. These 'odd shrimp' are semi-aggressive but inquisitive , as they often swim up to survivors out of curiosity. -------------------------------------------- LVL 1 STATS: HEALTH:300 STAMINA:250 WEIGHT:200 DAMAGE:25 TORPOR:575 -------------------------------------- -Anomalocaris also serve as an aquatic healer! When fed silica pearls they can heal themselves, but when fed black pearls, can also heal nearby allies similar to the land dwelling Daeodon. -Anomalocaris can also manuever in any direction similar to the Tapejara. -To tame, simply swim up and feed black pearls aka a passive tame. ---------------------------------------------- ARK NEEDS MORE SEA LIFE!!! dossier by: santaclaus470
  4. Protostega is a genuis off prehistoric sea turtles. Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protostega Name: Protostega: Group: Reptile Diet: Pesketariane: ( Cinidra Toxin, prme fishmeat) Temperament: Skittish. Dossier: Wild: Protostega is a quite large and extremly skittish but then again when your so far down the food chain I guess yor best chance is to flee not fight. Protostega spend most off there days feeding on cinidras and sea weed along the sea bed and they seem to only come on land during nesting season. it`s shell is pretty primitive and leathery and do not provide much protection but thats not that needed when you can outswim any predetor and when they first get hurt it seems like there diet off the cinida helps them quickly recover. Domesticated: As a domesticaded creature Protostega`s primary roles seem to be scouting and transporting good trhu the ocean and as a medic for other creatures. there high speed in water even when carring plenty of cargo makes them great for transporting goods over long distances quickly. And while it itself isn`t a fighter protostega helps out in battle bye emiting a chemical it produces to help it`s ally recover quickly. The chemicals protostega produces is has great properties that many tribes use in there cooking to give it a boost to there imunsystem and recovery. Abillites: 1 Bite: Left click preforms a simpel bite attack (not very strong) 2 Healing: Rightclick to preform a burst off healing ( hold down to increas range and power). When protostega kills cinadras it stores it`s toxin for later use. Using Protostega`s healing abillity uses up toxin, holding down right click gives better range and effect but consume more toxin. 3 Spin: Protostega spins around (vertical) and creates a shock wave that pushes enemies away while giving itself and it`s ally a speed boost. Saddle: The chemist`s saddle. Protostega`s saddle comes with a chemist bench and allows you to create the Proto-chemical, a chemical made from cinidra toxin that can be used in any dish to give it a healing boost. up to 3 survivers can ride on the saddle ( 1 driver +2 passengers) at the same time. the passengers can use tools/weapons while rideing. Taming: Wild Protostegas can`t be tamed. Along the beaces off the center you'll find varius mounds called protostega nests. Interacting with thees allowes you to start a minigame to grab yourself a turtle. A hatchling wil emerge from the sand and start slowly make it`s way to the ocean while wild iththyornis wild start gathering and swooping down trying to kill and eat the baby. to succseed the taming you need the fend off the birds until the hatcling reaches the ocean where it will rapidly mature and become tamed. the baby can be feed cinidra toxin to heal it but it won't get back the taming effectiveness. The further a mound is away from the ocean the higher level hatchling and longer it wil take for the hatcling to reach the ocean. Thank you for looking at my idea.
  5. Hello everyone!, I'm here to submit a submission for the new creature for The Center map, Hope you like the idea (art isn't made by me, the art was from a book I used to read a lot) Introducing the Protostega,The Living fabricator/raft, and the Underwater Healer. Protostega is an extinct genus of sea turtles containing only 1 species, Protostega Gigas, their name means "first roof" after it's carapace and plastron, they're found in the Smoky hill chalk formation in Kansas where they live 83 million years ago, they're the second biggest sea turtles we've known so far mostly overshadowed by their bigger cousin/the largest sea turtle the Archelon which you might have known is already in the Ark Addition mod, they will join the family of being another turtle after the carbonemys and being the only sea turtle if it gets added. Wild: Protostega Gigas is known to be the largest sea turtles and frankly the only sea turtle that exist in the Ark, their passive creature and unlikely to attack back even when you hit it however they will become aggressive at the sight of a jellyfish, their body are covered with strong keratin that not even the megalodon can bleed through or any arrows that can penetrate it, that to be said they're not entirely invincible, every now and then female Protostega go to shores to lay eggs and while there they can be easily spotted and because they're so slow on land, they can become an easy meal to any large or even medium carnivore, because of that they develop a way where they lay fewer eggs then normal sea turtles to reduce their time in the shores and even with that development the eggs can be easily stolen by small critters if they can find it, few who managed to survive still has to deal the sea environment from sharks, mantas, and other nasty creatures before they can become the giant creature they're destined to become. Taming process: Because of the hard keratin skin of an adult Protostega they can't be tamed the traditional way, instead people tame them by finding their nest and growing the baby themselves, the nest can be distinguished by a small hump in the shoreline that you can dig up to observe the eggs, however they're not some kind of tactic where you grab the egg,put it in a freezer and hatch it on home,no, the eggs are dependent by the temperature of their original place meaning grabbing one will near instantly spoil the egg, which also determined that once you finished digging up and observed the eggs is to put the sand back as fast as you can to avoid them spoiling, you need to wait for them to hatch however because you've dig up the location of the nest, expect oviraptor and pegos to try and steal the egg, of course you can make them run, kill them, or just put fences to stop them from reaching the eggs, however if you do put the fence it is likely that when the eggs hatch the baby will most likely to unable to get out until you remove the fences, oh and don't need to worry of waiting for days or even weeks guarding the egg and being a sitting duck in the beach by larger carnivores or other survivors, Protostega eggs are also known to hatch much quicker than most other creatures egg with their maximum amount of time before hatching is 1 week in the wild and minimum of less than a day. Once they hatch you can claim the baby turtle and successfully tame a baby Protostega. Tamed: While still a baby, you can put them on your back in the water until they're sub adults where they can carry you while swimming through the ocean faster without you yourself losing stamina(you need to wear a cloth to make this happen) basically acting like a jetpack in the ocean increasing your swim speed without doing anything yourself but it does use the protostega's stamina which means eventually you'll be the one that needs to swim until it regain all of its stamina, when fully grown they're the tank for the ocean, being immune to debuffs such as bleed and etc and take reduced damage to Ranged attacks, they can also work as a raft by combining your existing raft to its saddle hotbar, able to dive with it as well, they're an excellent bio toxin gatherer instantly killing jellyfish and small fish, but one of the main thing about Protostega is it's actual saddle, the saddle is unlocked the same level as the fabricator and for good reason, the saddle is basically a fabricator but a little bit different, unlike the normal fabricator, they're powered by bio toxin instead of gasoline, and that they themselves are able to fix gears faster than a normal fabricator but create gears from the fabricator slower, even after all that there's still something that needs to be noted. Like Normal Sea turtles you used to see outside the Ark they need oxygen and while they can hold their breath underwater for a very long period of time, eventually they will need to resurface and take a deep breath before they can dive another time. Considering the Protostega or in fact any creature that is being submitted will need to be both useful for PvP and PvE for them to be viable as a living creature, I've decided on the abilities and their passive abilities down below. I have tried my best to at least balance them out, which will be talked about more in the weakness category. passive abilities: We've talked about how it's passive of Instantly killing jellyfish and small fish at "Tamed", but let's talk about the others, first is its lack of use of stamina when fully grown, being able to swim long distances without even getting tired, similar to that of real sea turtles as some species have been known to swim crazy long distances when in nesting and feeding ground. The second is that weight from raft structures (storage box, large storage box, vault, etc) will not affect its speed, which is inspired by one of the barsboldia abilities from the Ragnarok creature vote. The third is their immunity/resistance to debuffs and ranged attacks, debuffs such as bleed, fear, etc can't affect the Protostega and ranged attacks from harpoon gun, turrets and others will have their damage reduced by 60%. The fourth and last passive ability is what I like to call "streamline". It's a passive ability that activate when you dive the Protostega to go deeper to the ocean in which they will perform a move similar to that of the griffin and the snow owl basically diving to reach the bottom faster and being able to use it for more speed when put upwards again but in the water, this also increase the agility of the Protostega able to turn in high speed until the streamline ended, however you can only do this if you're using it's saddle or the raft version with fewer structures, if too many structures are in the raft saddle it unfortunately can't perform the streamline ability, the streamline ability will last for 20 seconds and in those 20 seconds you will be able to perform 2 unique abilities that'll be talked about below. Abilities The first ability is what I like to call "master of the ocean", it's an ability creating a healing radius healing any nearby sea creatures/creatures in the water joining the daeodon and snow owl as a healer with their capability roughly the same as a daeodon but instead of consuming food, it consumes oxygen the longer it heals. The second is it's detection ability, can only be activated when in water, once its activated for a specific frequency it'll be able to show the exact location of artifacts around the waters you're in able to detect them from the artifacts waves of energy, you can also activate it at lower frequency than the other one where it'll be able to also detect electromagnetic waves from electrician such as a generator,an outlet, lights, etc excluding the industrial machine such as the fabricator. The third and last one is a move set only being able do when in the streamlined mode, the first move is a short boost to a location that you're looking at moving frontwards acting like a torpedo able to turn in a left or right direction, it will be able to deal damage to a target but takes a huge toll in stamina, the second one is the direct opposite, it's when the Protostega flap it flippers either frontwards or downward, frontwards is where it'll go to the opposite direction, basically going backward able to be used for evading attacks or just nope out of the location you were heading, while downward is when it boost itself to the surface, both when hitting on a target can temporarily stun them, or hitting on another Protostega it will stunned the other Protostega but also stun your Protostega, like the other one it also takes a huge toll in stamina and neither can be spammed. Control: The Protostega will be able to swim both upwards and downward while also being able to go left, right and backwards without turning, they'll also be able to turn to any direction while stationary. Resources: killing a Protostega will allow you to harvest it's corpse for a small amount of biotoxin from Cnidarians,Prime fish meat from small fish and their shell which when put into a grinder will be able to collect large amount of resources, however since the shell is even tougher than your normal resources, the chances the grinder malfunctioning, broken or even exploding while grinding the shell is a possibility you'll need to look out for. Usefulness: its main uses for PvP is to raid bases that are underwater, or detecting underwater bases from their electricians. Underwater bases are known to be harder to raid as the mobility in it are different and that you can't use land creatures as they will most likely drown before reaching the base itself, with that being said the Protostega acts as both the soaker of a raid and the healer for raids , for PvE they're great gatherer for bio toxin which can be made to shocking tranq darts to make Taming creatures much more easier and make it much more safer to explore the more vast ocean the map has to give while also being able to pinpoint the artifact location outside the cave while you yourself is getting the artifact. Weaknesses: of course with great power, a weakness have to be implemented to balance it out, I've said it once that the Protostega will have reduced damage to ranged attacks but not as much for close quarter attack such as bites and others, while the damage is still reduced at around 20%, they can still be overpowered as such by a mosasaur, packs of megalodons even if they don't bleed through it's skin or really anything that can get a good hit to it up close, they're also don't have reduced to damage to Tek gear and turrets and when use the healing ability, the more creatures it's healing the faster the oxygen decreases making you to be very careful with it if you don't want it to drown while healing the sea creatures and lastly is their detection ability, while they're able to 100% pinpoint the exact location of artifacts they can't exactly pinpoint electromagnetic fields from electricians, the detection can be easily fooled by some rock formations or even waves coming from the border of the map. Why I Choose the Protostega: Considering a giant portion of the center map consist of water I decided on a extinct sea turtle as my submission but because the most popular extinct sea turtle is already in a mod and because of that will be in my opinion really unnecessary to suggest an idea that will be already technically in the game,I need to become more creative and that's where I choose the protostega, being unironically reminded by them from the game Jurassic world the game, also the water in Ark especially the one with large oceans such as the center need some kind of way to make it more alive considering it's so empty when you look at it compared to its size so adding a sea creature in my opinions will at least add the ocean to be more….. filled.
  6. Note: (This submission is still a work in progress) TBA = In development (I’ll let the viewers decide on what needs to be changed) Appearance: Or Size: Lager than a Diplocaulus, but not too large Dossier: Common Name: Axolotl Species: Ambystoma mexicanum Time: Holocene Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Docile, but sometimes curious Habitat: Bio-Luminescent Region Wild: TBA Domesticated: TBA Habitat: Bio-Luminescent Region Behavior: The Axolotl will sometimes approach humans and proceed to stare at them out of curiously However, the Axolotl will attack if provoked by players or carnivores, but when its heath is at 20% however, it will retreat. Taming: Players must approach the Axolotl first, when the Axolotl looks at them, the player must then feed it a Plant Species seed or fruit from their zero slot. Beware, since the Axolotl lives in the Bio-Luminescent Region, there many predators (especially the Nameless) in the aera, so be alert. More TBA Main Abilities: Attack 1: (Bite) Bites an enemy for small damage Attack 2: (Tail whip/Tail spin) whips its tail at enemy’s front and back, cannot move while doing this attack. When underwater, the attack is a tail spin similar to the Baryonyx, but without the stun. Attack 3: While not really an attack… the Axolotl has four unique kinds of buffs, all of which come from eating plant species seeds and fruit Plant species X seed: (Attack Buff/Red Glow) Just the traditional attack buff for you and your allies, nothing more. Plant species Y seed: (Regeneration/Green Glow) While Axolotl in real-life can regenerate lost limbs, ARKs Axolotl can provide the “Regeneration buff.” The Regeneration buff) Similar to the Daeodon, the axolotl can heal allied creatures, including those underwater. Unlike the hell pig however, it can also heal you, your fellow survivors, and even remove every debuff you currently have. Plant species Z seed or fruit: (Flash Bang/Purple Glow) The axolotl can weaken the Nameless from its Charge Capacity. Unlike light pets, the axolotl has a more unique type of “Charge Capacity” which can blind creatures for a short time frame (longer for the Nameless). Plant species R seed: (Last Wish/Pink Glow) Using this seed you get increased defense, speed, and immunity to torpidity for the axolotl at the cost of health, think of it as a deal with the devil of sorts. Recommended as a last resort as it don’t last very long (ex: when running from a Giga or high-level creatures). Other Abilities: The Axolotl can heal over time Can swim very fast underwater Also, the axolotl is immune to the “Freezing Spores” and “Fertile Spores” debuff, so you don’t need to worry when you’re riding one. Q & A: Why do a creature submission? To be honest, I don’t know why I would try this out. Seeing how other people did it, I thought that I might try it out for a little experiment just to see what happens. Why the Axolotl? When I think real world animals for Aberration, I think of creatures that live in caves. Animals such as bats, crayfish, and the olm live in caves, but axolotls don’t live in caves, they live in freshwater lakes, so why? Because it was the first thing that came in my mind when I was thinking for the submission Even though it is a critically endangered species due to human development, waste water disposal, and loss of habitat due to droughts, it’s a very recognizable creature even as of today and I know many people adore this creature. That is why I chose it.
  7. From better reaper stats to simple tames made faster, the maia is your main man to take on taming endeavors! By speeding up food drain, slowing torpor drain, and even healing wild dinos this bad boy has it all! Theirs a ton this prehistoric beast can do! Here's a nice picture of the maia's height compared to a person and some other info Male and female differences Aaaaand their glowing bits For more info on the maia my dudes - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maiasaura So let's get right to it folks! Invigorating song Maiasaura sing an invigorating song that heal all those that hear it, the longer the maia sings the more it heals. They can even invigorate wild creatures as well healing them too! To sing any of their songs maia use their oxygen to do it They can also half/reduce the timer of current debuffs on creatures/players effected by their invigorating song but not torpor on wild creatures If this song is used on a wip tame it will will both heal them and speed up their food drain if it's needed to tame them Calming Lullaby Maiasaura sing a lullaby of sorts to their hatchlings, this same tune can be used to aid in the taming of many creatures by calming them down. This song can also slow torpor drain too! The harder the tame the more the song helps with it, even allowing previous creatures that couldn't be perfect tamed to be done without issue! Even helping in unexpected ways with some of the stranger beasts across the arks like reapers! They also can't be targeted by the wip tame while singing and You can make them flash their markings too which will ward off some creatures from attacking you and if their imprinted rider is in danger they'll flash them automatically. This also applies to your own tames and current wip tames if their close enough to them They will flash at enemy players and tames as well Their glowing makings can be turned on/off at will by riding them/in the menu wheel The ever troublesome rock golems and karkinos can finally be perfect tamed, with the help of a maia of course. By singing the karkinos and golems will gain more torpor and will take less damage from the bolders used to KO them. Once close enough to being KOed they will fall asleep instead of needing to be hit with another bolder instead, getting you a perfect KO! A maia's singing abilities can calm Reaper queens, making them quite docile.(though still murderous) This results in them impregnating someone without potential hours of conflict to get them to do it otherwise, With the reaper queen not being stressed out in the process, her children now have higher stats then normal She may even impregnate more then one person before leaving as well! However one should be careful for if a Maia stops singing the queen will return to her violent ways A second maiasaura can prevent this by continuing where the first left off Shadowmanes sleep for longer and may stay asleep for multiple fish before waking up Hyenadons will gain sanifagantlty more taming from petting, reduced aggro radius, they won't attack just tamed hyenadons for a time, the alpha's won't aggro to the tamer/maia and can now be tamed These are just the creatures I can think of too dudes to fill free to say your own ideas! Other cool abilitys When mate boosted near baby creatures in a radius a round them maia's give an effect like a Procoptodon pouch to them, increasing the amount you imprint your babies for and massively reducing their food consumption Maewings will have a much harder time stealing you're babies that are affected by a pair of maiasaura or perhaps can't at all Taming Maiasaura nest in herds that are heavily guarded by mostly males (females are sometimes seen in patrolling/guard groups as well) The Maiasaura will patroll around the edge of the nesting grounds and stand guard in the grounds as well, attacking anyone foolish enough to ignoring their hanting bellows and flashing tails Next to a nest may have a maia tending to its nest or babies. For they don't actually lay on a nest they put rotting plants on them to keep them warm. This is your target for taming To obtain this beast one must sneak up to a nest, occupied or not, past guards and nested maiasaura without getting spotted, snach an egg from a Maiasaura's nest and make a stealthy getaway or else get trampled by the herd if your spotted(for they are quite fast) The further the nest is in the nesting grounds the better the egg quality will be and eggs successfully snatched from its guardian maiasaura will also have a better egg quality then an unoccupied nest but are harder to obtain. For you're much easier to notice for the nested maiasaura and you must pass a mini game to not get caught stealing the egg from her nest Failing this game will result in you getting spotted instantly and most likely your untimely, gruesome demise Alternatively one can achieve an egg from brute force by killing the entire herd but this will always result in horrible egg qualities and fewer eggs, perhaps even no eggs at all Maewings also can't steal wild baby maiasaura, you have to steal the eggs yourself(I don't know if this is a thing in the remaster, im putting it here anyways just in case) Egg quality notes Eggs will not state their level and instead show their quality, the better the quality the better the baby that comes from it Higher level, higher stats, etc. An Eggs depth in the nesting grounds and whether or not it was being actively guarded quality bonus does stack and this is the only way to acquire the best possible egg quality of pristine Pristine eggs will always hatch at max level Egg qualities from best to worst Pristine - why your sneaking around in the first place Excellent- spicy Nice - your average every day egg Okay - not bad but not good either Terrible - it's pretty sad looking Rotten/Broken/Infertile - it won't hatch ever, whether it's your doing, mama did an oops and stepped on it, another Maia had a snack, or it didn't make it is a different matter what matters is that it's not that useful and that's sad Infertile eggs can be made into kibble Rotten eggs can be used for speed rotting meat, gunpowder making, or fertilizer Broken eggs can be used for fertilizer Final notes Right this down devs, their glowing stripes need to be a color region that can be changed from event colors or breeding, it would be a shame not to do it. A total wasted opportunity. (Note their markings flash like the tek stegos plates do from front to back)
  8. My idea isn't so much an animal as a parasitic fungi. I belive it fits in perfectly with the mushroom riddled caves that are aberration. The creature is covered in mushrooms and has a mycelium pattern on its belly along with having stong damagy arms. Abilities: Infection. once tamed the creature would have the ability to infect eggs of other tames. this would cause the infected tames to have mushrooms growing out of there head but instead of killing them the fungi benifits them. they gain the imunitys of the mushroom creature as well as being buffed in other ways. Climb and Jump. The creature would have the ability to climb cliffs and walls and jump a significant distant much like the dinopithecus. Mycelium buff. Its a healing buff for any infected tames. trees use the mycelium network to comunacate and can even send nutruants to each other, I like the idea of tames being healed in a simaler way by the mycelium network they are connected to, hence the name. Spores. The creature would have an AOE spore attack simaler to the blue spores that kill you in aberration. Immunitys. The creature has immunitry to spores, blue spores, radiation, shock, poison. these immunitys are extended to infected tames and any player riding the creature except radiation for the player. RIdeable Taming. You can tame your own mushroom creature buy sacrificing one of your tames to a special mushroom. who then shortly die and a baby mushroom creature imerges that you have to raise. once tamed you can infect fertalised eggs those tames will grow mushrooms for there heads and have forementioned abilites. I wanted to make a creature that would rival reapers and rock drakes while being different and fitting into ab. Mushrooms came to mind and Cordyceps quickly after as most people know of it from the last of us blowing. I like the idea of the mushroom creature being amphibian or toad like, being somewhere between a gatcha and a rock elemental and having bulking stron forearms which is why I tried to draw it like that.
  9. introducing the Embolotherium the singing beast of aberration a mid sized Dino found browsing in the fertile reagon of aberration along with being found on abandoned builings they are found In groups with four females and one male how do you tell? look at there heads the horn is larger and also the have very noticeable beards imagine this as the male but if threatened it will charge and attack but it can also blast enemy's with loud sound waves or otherwise known as "Wardens CRY" this can stun enemy's and give a new threating debuff that causes pain Histeria and insanity causing ally dinos to buck off their riders to to turn on them but if you think your imune... YOU THOUGHT WRONG this debuff can also cause players to attack their team members like the effects of the knoglin on the colony ship in genesis prt 2 but at least you can use this ability to defend yourself in the read zone against reapers nameless and seekers but when a target is inflicted with the debuff they will be glowing with molten element ruining threw their vanes and the deabuff is called "Tears Of Aberration" but how this happens is unknown but why do they do this it's because their blind and to better adapt they developed sensitive hearing and smell but once tamed they are excellent for gathering wood and gems witch they do seem to like and can carry lots of weight making it an amazing beast of burden. but how do you tame one? it is a passive tame but not the generic type you must craft a crystal ocarina made by learning the engram at level 50 to make this instrument you will need all types of gems 100 green gems 20 blue gems and 10 red gems and 5 fiber and 20 element Ore once you have crafted it now approach the one you want to tame then play the instrument with left click then a mini game similar to the method of the tekstryder but if you miss a note the females will run and the male will charge and blast you with the "Wardens Cry" to defend the heard. once you have tamed one you can ride it bare back plus the controls are left click is a bite and right click is a stomp also c is a back kick plus when you equip the saddle it has a special crystals that when are played can heal with it's southing song and when needed it's crystals can also give a "Hype" buff that boosts speed attack and regeneration and to access this two survivors are required to use it and the method is similar to the mammoth drum but this time it's steel drums but to unleash the "Wardens Cry" you must have any gem in it's inventory but they all have different effects when you left ctrl with blue gems it gives enemy's a debuff that lowers stamina rapidly but with red gems it causes the halogenic effect like the red mushroom spores but if using green gems they stun enemy's and knock riders off their mounts but the last and special ore element ore is used it will charge a mighty stomp that dose physical damage and knock back to anything near it and finally unleashes the "Wardens Cry" giving the "Tears Of Aberration" deabuff that lasts two minutes but It gets better! once you beat Rockwell (beta) you will unlock it's teksaddle witch will maximize the song effects to their limit and the saddle has a DJ set in the saddle and a new mini game but how will other players know when it's singing it has a strange ability that it's head will inflate like a pipe bag and if you right ctrl the saddle places a visor on it's head that are head lights similar to a trucks and give charge to repel reapers and nameless but if there are seekers right ctrl and left ctrl at the same time to cange the visor's lense to red that damages seekers to repel them . if you have any other Ideas let me know good luck survivors
  10. Galverpeton is a curious beast, often seen feeding off the charge light provided from glow bugs and charge nodes, these unique reptiles have made their home in the complex tree system of Aberration's blue zone. They are actually quite friendly, but earning one's trust to be your own tame requires giving it a lot of its favorite food, Charge Light. Taming method- Use charge lanterns or light pets with high charge capacity to shine on the Galvero, slowly increasing taming (faster with more sources of light). Another bar begins to fill when light is shined on it, when this bar fills up it will release an Overcharged energy wave that shuts down charge sources in the area, If the charge being used to tame it shuts off, it will rapidly lose progress after just a few seconds. Make sure to time your lantern or pet shut offs to avoid being crippled by the charge emp wave, and keep up your taming progress and you'll have your very own climbing, healing, charge disabling, and energy-spitting friend to help you on aberration! Spawns in Blue Zone, clings to tree branches or ceiling, tamed by hitting it with constant charge light while avoiding light surges that drain active light sources. Size- about trike size, longer but shorter Attacks Headbutt- harvests fungal wood and mushrooms/berries. Charge Up- Rapidly increases charge amount, siphoning charge from nearby sources and increasing speed while channeling. Rapidly heals and regens stamina when near sources of charge light while channeling. Using this skill while charging disables the charge glow, stopping seekers from aggroing and disabling other charge related abilities until activated. (Normal- charge light active, use once to activate charge up, use twice to go dark). Light Surge- Releases a wave of light around it that travels farther the more charge it currently has, the light wave blinds those affected, and deals damage to seekers, reapers, and nameless. Also overcharges things powered by batteries, disabling battery operated devices for 5 seconds. Charge Bolt- Spits out an explosive bolt of charge energy that deals triple damage to nameless and reapers. Cannot damage structures. Charge Healing- Radiates a glow that wards off nameless, attracts seekers, and consumes 10 charge energy every 0.25 seconds to heal 1hp to every ally in range, the heal increases to up to 10hp every 0.25 seconds the longer this ability is held. (Needs very high charge capacity or several light sources to drain to achieve max healing) Toggle climb- Enables or disables climbing Abilities- -Leg membranes negate fall damage and allow fast swimming -Passively charges overtime, consuming some extra food. Can charge up charge batteries in inventory. (And drain them to promote self regen when Charge Up is active) -Good mushroom harvester, has 50% weight reduction for rare mushrooms, fungal wood, and aberrant mushrooms. Also harvests double nameless venom. -Immune to radiation, cnidaria toxin, plant z stun, electrophorus, and reaper caccoon acid. -Moves faster when climbing, and can fit through small gaps about the same height as a raptor. -Has a turret mode, will heal when enemies aren't in range, will fire charge bolts when enemies are in range. Roles- Harvester, ranged combat mount, traveling mount, egg hunter, nameless hunter, healer, charge manipulator, base defender. Weaknesses- head to head combat, fast climbers, flyers, baryonyx, ranged damage, torpidity(has very low torpor), low health scaling, relies on charge light Natural predators- Basilisk, Reaper Queen, Seeker, Baryonyx, Spino, Megalo, Rockdrake, Ravagers
  11. Wild: The Oculudentavis, also known as Narcler, is living peacefully in the deepest caves of Aberration, because of it‘s poison, aggressive creatures don‘t attack it, but it’s although really jumpy and runs away when it sees a danger. It mostly consumes small insects near them, but also absorbes torpor from unconscious creatures to survive, so try to don‘t knock out creatures near the Narcler, because he will definitely try to consume the torpor. It is really rare and is also hard to find because of it‘s colour, which is adapted to the vegetation and colours of Aberration. The Narcler is one of the few creatures which can easily survive the poison and radiation of Aberration. Domesticated: Once the Narcler is tamed, it serves you as a loyal, poisonous shoulder pet and brings a lot of useful abilities with it to make your live on Aberration and on generally every Ark easier. The Narcler is having a torpor storage, which fills itself up, when consuming Torpor from creatures or survivors, or when it gets fed things which raise torpor (for example narcoberries), it is important to know, that the torpor storage is having a limit. When it is on your shoulder, the Narcler is able to suck out torpor from you, to cause that you don‘t get unconscious, for example when you get attacked from a Titanoboa or with tranquilizer darts from other survivors. This works until the torpor storage from the Narcler is full. With the help of the torpor of it‘s storage, the Narcler is able to spit the torpor at opponents to make them unconscious, this also works with taming other creatures. With it‘s torpor storage the Narcler is also able to heal the survivor a bit, by consuming the torpor from the storage (only works when it is having torpor in its storage) When the Narclers storage is full, it gives the survivor and the ridden creature a buff for speed, stamina and strength (when the storage is no longer full, the effect stays for 30 seconds) The last but not least abilitiy from the Narcler is creating narcotics in his inventory, by using rotten flesh and the torpor from its storage, the Narcler produces narcotics much faster than the mortar an pestle. Domestication: The taming of the Narcler is a little bit like the taming of the Troodon and Noglin, you have to make creatures near the Narcler unconscious and go away quickly until he is beginning to consume the torpor, then you just have to repeat this process until it‘s torpor storage is full and you have achieved taming a Narcler! Thank you very much for reading my ideas for the Oculudentavis, I hope you liked them and I would be really happy about a vote or/and a comment(:

  13. (big rideable glow pet) Introducing Kosmoceratops, the Starlight Ceratopsian! Tags: herbivore, ceratopsian, flashbang, support, healer, soaker, seeker allies, armor reduction Credit to Nix Illustration for Design Common Name: Kosmoceratops Species: Kosmoceratops lumitaurus Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: “It’s astonishing how well adapted some of the creatures in these caverns are. Kosmoceratops lumitaurus is the largest creature I’ve discovered thus far that produces that intense bioluminescent charge that keeps Nameless at bay… and attracts a private army of Chimaeram. Great… Whether it be dominance, ego, or just plain fun, these ceratopsians challenge not only other Kosmoceratops, but other threatening species as well, including survivors! They bow down in respect to those who can best them in a one-on-one spar. Any lunatics out there might be able to use this to their advantage.” Domesticated: “After gaining the respect of this starlight behemoth, survivors may find a variety of uses for them. They have a notable amount of durability thanks to their head armor, and they possess a glowing, corrosive saliva that melts through armor thanks to the plants it consumes. I think I’ll not have what they’re having, thank you. A large dinosaur that emits charge that repels Nameless and is immune to high concentrations of radiation makes it an excellent mount to traverse the lower reaches of these caverns. Introduction: Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the flashbang bastion; the Kosmoceratops! The foundational ideas and selling points for this dinosaur include: Role as a mid-game support that can be used in endgame PvP Rideable glow pet Radiation and plant z immunity Ability to heal allies and blind enemies Ability to corrode and highlight enemies with bite attacks I personally think Kosmoceratops, or at the very least this concept, should be added to the game due to an oversaturation of apex predators in the PvP metagame as well as expanding upon one of the most unique (and one of my personal favorite) maps in the game. Ceratopsians in general need a little more love than just Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus. Adding this behemoth would help spice the meta up and give people more reason to play on ARK: Aberration. Wild: Kosmoceratops live in the malfunctioning ARK’s bio-luminescent marshlands and molten element canyons, being the only large herbivore found in the latter zone. They can spawn on their own or in herds of up to three members. They are naturally territorial, and will tend to gang up on large carnivores that pose a threat to them. Kosmoceratops tend to be more aggressive in these herds, so it is highly advised to avoid them whenever possible. While on their own they are still a force to be reckoned with, they behave in a slightly different manner… Like glow pets, Kosmoceratops produce a constant aura of charge which can repel Nameless and attract Seekers. Seekers aren’t naturally hostile towards these dinosaurs, respecting them as a source of food, and will typically assist them in combat. When low on health, the ceratopsian can emit a blinding light from its frill and horns to disorient threats before speeding away. Taming Process: To be tamed, this dinosaur must be separate from any herd or any Seekers. Having aggroed the herd prior won’t trigger the process. Once isolated, the process will begin when the Kosmoceratops performs an animation, blinking its frill lights and kicking up the dirt. The dinosaur is challenging you to a one-on-one spar. The frill constantly pulsating light faintly is a sign the Kosmo is undergoing the taming process. If any other creature or survivor interferes, regardless of friend or foe, the taming bar will return to 0. After dealing 75% of the dinosaur’s total health in the battle, it will bow down in exhaustion. Step forward and claim your reward. Tamed: Congratulations! You’ve successfully tamed a Kosmoceratops! Now with this bioluminescent barbarian in your hands, life in the caverns of the aberrant ARK should be much more convenient. Actions: Primary Attack (, , ): Click: A sweeping head attack with noticeable knockback. The Kosmoceratops can turn 180-degrees if looking backward. Hold: A charged bite attack that increases in damage the longer it is held. This bite leaves a unique status induced by the dinosaur’s saliva, which corrodes its way through health, armor, and even metal structures. The saliva itself is also bioluminescent, highlighting bitten enemies with a bright light that friends and foes can see. The duration of this status also scales with the attack’s wind up time. Secondary Attack (, , ): The range of this move scales with Charge Range / Melee Damage. Click: A violent flash of light erupts from the dinosaur’s frill, inducing the same effect as plant z fruit. This requires a large amount of charge to use. Hold: The ceratopsian’s light creates an aura of healing in front of itself, acting like the animal equivalent of a plant z. It heals at around the same rate, though drains charge fast. Taunting Roar (Click C, , ): The Kosmoceratops’s roar taunts wild and tamed creatures like a Magmasaur. However, its own defenses and damage are increased. Crouch (Press Space, , ): The Kosmoceratops hunkers down into a defensive state, taking significantly reduced damage at the cost of not being able to attack or move much at all. Passive Abilities: Charge Light: Kosmoceratops essentially operates like a giant, rideable glow pet! Much like the Bulbdog and its peers, Kosmoceratops’ stats also upgrade its charge light capabilities. Stamina correlates with Charge Capacity, Oxygen with Charge Regeneration, and Melee Damage with Charge Range. You can activate the charge light while mounted in the same way lifesteal can be enabled while riding a Desmodus. Batteries can also be charged within the dino’s inventory like a charge station, though at a slower rate. Seeker Symbiosis: Seekers will gather around Kosmoceratops, but won’t attack them or their rider. They instead become allies, attacking threats that get too close to their food source. Damage-to-Head Reduction: Like the Triceratops, the Kosmoceratops possesses damage reduction on its head, though not as effective. Gathering: Kosmoceratops can gather berries and minerals fairly well with its bite. However, it is most proficient at gathering element ore, and one of the best tools to mine the resource. Immunities: Kosmoceratops are immune to the effects of radiation and plant z fruits. Turn in Place: While not moving, a Kosmoceratops can turn to the direction the rider is facing similarly to Spinosaurus. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: Kosmoceratops are great for traversing the caverns of the aberrant ARK, though lacking a solid turn while sprinting. Riders can wander on Kosmo back to farm for rare materials in the lower reaches of the blue and red zones with their radiation immunity and charge light. Reapers and Nameless are repelled by their light, and Seekers are attracted to it, though becoming temporary allies with the dinosaur and their rider. Kosmoceratops are one of the best ways to retrieve Rock Drake eggs early on before getting replaced by Rock Drakes themselves for that niche. PvP: This ceratopsian is designed as a support class along with the likes of Daeodons, Yutyrannus, and Snow Owls. They aren’t very good at dealing a lot of damage, and they are far from the tankiest creature in the game. By blinding, highlighting, and taunting enemies and healing allies, the Kosmoceratops provides essential aid that could bring favor to a matchup, even if the dinosaur itself isn’t directly fighting. It also acts as a good soaker with the damage reduction it gets from its taunt, crouch, and head armor. Chargelight invalidates the presence of Reapers, removing more danger from potential confrontations. The lack of damage output is their greatest weakness, not being nearly as strong as other creatures of its size class. It lacks the tools to completely defend its blindspots, especially from faster tames like Deinonychus, Thylacoleos, and fliers. Conclusion: Outside of the obvious Triceratops comparisons, Kosmoceratops lacks much overlap in terms of utility and niche in a tribe’s roster. A very complex and strong creature, but balanced out by notable weaknesses that ensure it doesn’t usurp other dinos. It has been a while since we’ve gotten a creature designed to be a support in PvP, so I hope this works out for that niche! Have fun, survivors! References (Accurate & Inaccurate):
  14. Giant Porcupine – Hystrix Gigantea – taming companion About The Hystrix Gigantea or H. Refossa is an extinct species giant porcupine 20% larger then its closest living relative, lived during the Pleistocene era, 2.5 million to 11,700 years ago, was widespread amongst Eurasia with specimens discovered in Israel, Java and northern Greece. The real world counterparts cannot spit or fire quills, with the species from the Americas being tree climbers, able to jump and swim, and the European species being mostly nocturnal and living in burrows or underground dens. This extinct species will take from both the European and American species along with some typical ark liberties and fancifications. Some quills have been found to have antibiotic properties Length 115cm or 45 inches, upto 40KG Dossier Common name: Giant Porcupine Species: Hystrix Gigantea Time: pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild Taming the giant porcupine would be a passive tame that would need to be distracted with giant bee honey before the survivor sneaks up behind the giant porcupine to feed its favourite kibble, savaroot or berries once tamed this creature can be carried similar to kairuku and dodos Abiliites Antibiotic Quills A tamed Giant Porcupines quills could be harvested and used for there antibiotic properties, healing Swamp Fever, mega rabies, radiation poisoning but the quills will not be strong enough to provide immunity, thus fitting in below the already established ‘lesser antidote’ which grants immunity for a short time. Taming Companion a tamed one throw down next to an unconscious herbivore (or carnivore?) would be able to rub up against it and heal the herbivore through its antibiotic quills, this would not ruin taming affinity being fed a specific diet of organic polymer and narcoberries/narcotic/biotoxin, a the quills take on a torpor applying ability allowing the tamed Giant Porcupine to be able to keep even the largest of creatures torpor up, no longer do we need to torpor watch an unconscious giga or other fast torpor creature Climbing Mount Much like how the diplocaulus is not a mount unless it is in water, the Giant Porcupine can only be mounted while it is climbing. Simply throw it at a wall then hold onto its tiny saddle handles as it can climb, albeit rather slowly even during earthquakes Base Defence Like a lesser Velenosaur, although unrealistic, this small mount can throw its quills at enemies, and coupled with its ability to deal torpor when fed the correct diet, this works as a ranged base defence creature that can deal fast torpor and knock out any invading player or small mount Scarer Depending on its level a tamed Giant Porcupine can scare off small, to medium and maybe even weaker large sized creatures working as a good mount to carry around with you while on adventures, at the sign of danger, throw this guy down and he will rattle his quills creating fear in the wild creatures similar to a yutyrannus Unique Items Antibiotic Quills – will have a spoil timer and a small stack size and a short cooldown between usage to encourage players who can, to use lesser antidote and he correct armor for the job. Quills (& Blowpipe) – along with antibiotic quills, regular hollow quills can be harvested from a wild corpse or a tamed Giant Porcupine with a sickle, these can be used ina blow pipe or longkneck rifle as tranq darts, to counter the cheaper cost to make (not needing ingots) these tranq quills will spoil In a similar fashion to shocking tranq darts Sources: https://prehistoric-fauna.com/Hystrix-refossa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hystrix_refossa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porcupine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_porcupine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_World_porcupine
  15. One of the largest arks, and one with the largest stretches of land, there are many things to see on Ragnarok, and many dangers scattered around the various biomes. One creature however, has adapted to live comfortably in any of the many environments on Rag, and has worked its way up the food chain not through brawn, but through intelligence. Introducing Caudipteryx! One of the most intelligent, diverse, and surprisingly ruthless creatures on Rag! Caudipteryx are medium sized creatures, about the same size as a carno. When wild, they can be found walking, running, flying, or even swimming around, often hunting smaller creatures- or avoiding larger ones. Though they usually see a survivor as food, the intelligence of this creature isn't to be underestimated. If they sense danger or take too much damage, they'll simply run away. Likewise if they observe survivors cooperating with other creatures, it can peak their interest... Just don't get too close to one, or you'll be faced with their razor-sharp beaks and the weaponized feathers on their necks. Taming method- Caudipteryx will become nuetral and avoid, but watch the player if they have a shoulder pet. If they observe the player feeding their shoulder pet, they may come close and accept food, though each Caudipteryx prefers a different food, ranging from sarco skin, allo brain, yuty lung, basilo blubber, and tuso tentacles. After feeding a Caudipteryx enough, they will enter a passive state and allow the player to mount them, causing the player to have time exact key presses to avoid being thrown off. Survive the ride and you'll earn the trust of the Caudipteryx to be your own. Abilities Bite- Their sharp beaks can harvest wood, berries, meat, and have an affinity for gathering special drops. Defeating a creature such as a sarco with the bite attack has a chance to double the tribute items you receive. Double Jump- Caudipteryx are able to do a sort of double jump by flapping their wings, and attacking while airborne causes them to slash at the ground, dealing extra damage while avoiding the attacks of other creatures. Flight- By holding spacebar, Caudipteryx can fly and glide, though these actions use a lot of stamina. Swimming- Caudipteryx are excellent swimmers, and have adapted to be able to breathe underwater, still able to bite and use their feather projectiles underwater. They can even harvest pearls! Feather Throw- Caudipteryx can aim and fire off the feathers from their necks, which are surprisingly durable and sharp! Being struck with a feathery slows and bleeds those hit. Defense Mode- Caudipteryx are intelligent enough to be excellent defense creatures, you can mark an allied tame or player, yourself, or your own structures in defense mode, and even help your Caudipteryx record a path if you want to. By default, Caudipteryx will remain still around their marked target, but if they sense any hostility toward the target, they'll enter a turret mode and fire off feathers at the hostile, they can even shoot down explosives! If they or their target take damage in this state, Caudipteryx will actively attempt to avoid incoming attacks and keep firing their feathers, making them incredibly deadly on defense. If an enemy player or tame gets too close, they'll resort to using their bite and claw attacks, and do everything they can to defend the marked target. If a path is marked, they'll even patrol the path and perform the same actions. Caudipteryx that get separated from their marked target will even automatically make their way back to it. Scout Mode- When commanded into scout mode, Caudipteryx can lock onto any creature, player, or structure and identify levels, health, torpidity, food, and armor levels of their target! When placed on scout mode without a rider, Caudipteryx will enter a form of turret mode and remain still, identifying nearby hostiles by locking onto them and revealing them to allies until the enemy gets too far away. They can't detect multiple creatures like a parasaur, but the target they lock onto will be permanently visible to their allies until unmarked! Crouch- While on the ground, Caudipteryx can crouch very low to the ground and use their flexible limbs to sort of "slither" forward. They can fit through crouch spaces! Passive Defense- If a creature tries to dismount their rider, be it a flyer, purlovia, or even a thyla, Caudipteryx will instead launch an automatic counter attack and stun the offending creature. And the last ability of Caudipteryx, is their rest ability! Caudipteryx feathers, just not the ones on their necks, are very soothing and soft. If a Caudipteryx cuddles up to an allied player or dino and uses their rest ability, all the allies in range will start to get a slight healing buff, and players will be completely insulated from the elements while nearby! If Caudipteryx has extra food, it will even feed starving allies by 10 food points to prevent them from starving to death. And that's it for Caudipteryx, all terrain and with many uses, I hope you like them! The image is an ai generated representation of what I think they should look like.
