  1. Hey, did you know that some fossils are radioactive? While sadly not from the dinos themselves, the process of fossilization can often deposit radioactive minerals into the place where dinosaur bones were. So, on the map with the largest deposits of radioactive materials in the game, what better way to ignore the first point than to introduce the dinosaur scientists only discovered thanks to being radioactive? Common Name: Jimmadseni, sometimes shortened to “Jimmy” Species: Allosaurus Jimmadseni Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Y’know, between all the flying squids, invisible dragons, and mutant demons straight from a horror movie, I had almost forgotten that the actual dinosaurs living on the ARKs where just as dangerous. Emphasis on almost there, because the Allosaurus Jimmadseni has been a well-needed reminder of this fact. Ofcourse, it probably helps that this thing’s also just as much of a monster as everything else down in the lower caverns. While many creatures have adapted to withstand the element’s radiation, Jimmadseni has completely embraced it. Greedily taking the stuff into itself and always looking for more. Jimmadseni may not have as strong of a bite as many other carnivores, but it’s hardly needed. Powerful legs mean that not much can outrun it. And just like the Komodo Dragon, noxious saliva ensures that anything which does escape won’t be going very far. Though instead of a cesspit of deadly bacteria, it’s radioactive waste that gets into the target’s bloodstream. And if all that wasn’t enough, putting the Jimmadseni under enough stress seems to trigger the element in it’s skeletal structure to go critical and put the beast into meltdown, greatly increasing it’s fighting prowess at the cost of its own body. Just being near the thing while it’s in this state is enough to poison anything unprotected. Taming: While the internal mechanisms that allow Jimmadseni to live its element-lush life make it highly resistant to tranquilizers, an oddity I’ve found is that being under meltdown seems to put its body under too much stress to fight off narcotics like it normally does. Ofcourse, just beating the beast down will make you end up with a corpse before any sort of knockout can occur. However, some persistent survivors have discovered that enough charge light will also cause the element within Jimmadseni to go critical. Just being around a charge pet won’t be enough to cause a reaction though, you need a lot more juice in way less time. Edmund’s charge lamps are able to do the trick. And some of the crackshots I’ve met have found that a well-placed plant species Z seed can be thrown down its throat and cause a reaction from the inside. Domesticated: A well-trained Jimmadseni is a sight to behold. Not only does it have a powerful bite with an even more powerful after-bite. But powerful legs make it one of the fastest creatures in it’s weight class, even able to leap across massive gaps and clamber up small cliffs. Even more than that though, Jimmadseni’s valued for its natural affinity for Element. Not only does it attack any creatures with it in their system with a hungry fervor, but its teeth are frequently shed and embedded within its prey. And while these are normally swallowed and re-incorporated, shed teeth can be gathered and used into a variety of uses. They can be ground down and the element within distilled, they can be made into a potent tincture that binds to radioactive particles in one’s bloodstream and reduces their severity, or can even be used to tip metal arrows for a bit extra bite. Plus, as a bonus, Santiago’s boys figured out how to tap into the Jimmadseni’s passive energy reserves with a saddle. Not enough to power a whole base; atleast not with an amount that’s practical. But more than enough to power a built-in floodlight and fabricator without the devil even noticing! Alright, with the flavor text out of the way, let’s talk about what this thing actually does. COMBAT Jimmadseni is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. While not particularly hearty compared to many of the other creatures on Aberration, it’s bite is incredibly powerful for it’s size; slightly larger than the island’s own Allosaurus; and is only made stronger by the after-effects. When attacking, Jimmadseni will apply the nuclear spit debuff onto foes. Not only does this drain a bit of stamina and health over it’s duration, but it will also lower the creature’s armor and damage resistance by 33% from all sources. So even just having one or two in your dino packs can make a massive difference. Each bite applies the debuff for 5 seconds, but the duration stacks upto a minute. Though creatures immune to radiation resistent to its effect; only gaining being debuffed for 3 seconds at a time with a cap of 45 seconds, and certain creatures like Reapers, nameless, and the various TEK creatures are completely immune to the venom’s effects. That’s not to say these creatures are safe though, because the Jimmadseni will also deal massively increased damage against any creature sufficiently imbued with element. While not a comprehensive list, think Reapers, Nameless, Seekers, Corrupted dinos, Tek dinos, those sorts of things. The Jimmadseni’s powerful legs also let it leap forward to drop-kick targets. While this doesn’t apply the debuff that it’s bite does and leaves it vulnerable for a second or two afterwards, it is however a great option to close gaps and leaves the target dazed for a moment; similar to the trike’s charge. And ofcourse, if put under enough stress, the Jimmadseni will enter a Meltdown. A massive spike in power for an already intimidating creature, at the cost of it’s own body. Like the giga, the Jimmadseni has a rage meter that fills up as it takes damage, though it won’t turn against it’s tribe once it fills up and goes supercritical. And this effect can be forced to occur by either blasting the Jimmadseni with a charge lantern, or by feeding it Plant Species Z fruits from it’s inventory. During a meltdown, the Jimmadseni will receive the following effects: Lights up like a Christmas tree, letting everything nearby know how f***** they are Bites deal significantly more damage and apply 2x the venom duration per bite. Speed and agility are greatly increased, while stamina consumption is completely removed from all actions Can break metal-tier structures It takes 50% more damage from all sources and receives 50% less protection from armor. It will begin to loose health at a moderate rate It will apply radiation sickness to any living thing nearby that isn’t immune. The dropkick attack has less recovery time and has a larger AOE The otherwise cosmetic roar will instead erupt with the force of a thousand suns and apply significant knockback to anything nearby. A Jimmadseni undergoing a meltdown may be one of the most terrifying things you can face. It is, however, not invincible. Not only does the extra damage taken mean it can quickly be overwhelmed if not careful, but it’s also still vulnerable to any form of crowd control, such as Knockback, a Reaper King’s cocooning venom, or a well-placed net gun. Mobility While not quite as agile as many of Aberration’s other denizens, that doesn’t mean Jimmadseni is being left in the dust. Powerful legs make it one of, if not the fastest creature in its weight class, able to keep up with just about anything that has legs. Said legs also make it an excellent jumper. While lacking the height or sheer distance of Karkinos and Reapers, it is still able to cover a ton of distance to cross any chasms or gaps you might come across. And if that’s not quite enough, it even has a limited climbing ability that lets it scramble up short walls, meaning it can use a lot of shortcuts inaccessible to other creatures. It’s also a decent swimmer, and is immune to the effect of element water. Utility, Taming, and Other: Per the Dossier, taming the Jimmadseni is no mean feat, as it’s normally immune to the effects of tranquilizing poison. However, forcing into a meltdown will make it vulnerable enough to tranquilize. This is best done by either blasting it with a high-powered charge lantern, or by throwing a well-placed Plant Species Z fruit down it’s throat when it roars. Unlike Reapers and Nameless, Jimmadseni stores it’s element in it’s skeletal structure, making it unaffected by passive sources of charge light such as light pets or plant species Z. Once Knocked Out, Jimmadseni eats meat and kibble like other carnivores; preferring extraordinary kibble to be specific. But it can also eat Element Ore with the effectiveness of prime meat, or refined element as a kibble alternative. It’s eggs would also be extraordinary tear, making them a good source of kibble on Aberration. Due to it’s element-hungry nature, the Jimmadseni is supremely effective at harvesting element dust from any creature that drops it, and can even find whole shards in rare instances. It also collects these resources from any creature it gets a damage boost against. Furthermore, killing any creature with the Jimmadseni can drop a few of it’s teeth; which grow and shed like Shark’s teeth. These teeth can be ground for a bit of extra dust, used to make elixirs that cure and give brief immunity to the radiation sickness and nuclear venom effects, or made into a new varient of the metal arrow that deals a bit less damage, but also bypasses a portion of enemy defense. The saddle for the Jimmadseni is also unique. Not only does it feature a floodlight on the creature’s head, but it also has a built-in fabricator, both of which are powered by the Jimmadseni’s own power reserves. These even get massively overclocked when the wearer has a meltdown, making it a great; if not moderately dangerous way to craft all those bullets you need. Oh, and sense I haven’t mentioned it yet, this thing spawns mostly in the red zone if that wasn’t obvious enough. Though you might be unfortunate enough to find one in the depths of the blue zone. A couple other notes I’d like to add separately, the Jimmadseni’s glow during meltdown would probably just be an element purple, but it could also be tied to one of the creature’s color regions, giving breeders another goal to go after. And if Wildcard wanted to be really evil, there could also be permanently-supercritical Jimmadseni on the surface. Because who said Reapers where dangerous enough? In total, while large Therapods are, admittedly, significantly overdone in these votes. I hope that Jimmadseni’s role as a true glass canon combined with it’s integrations with Aberration’s unique mechanics would make it a natural addition for the depths of ARK’s best map.
  2. First of all, welcome to my submission, and let me explain a thing before we proceed. If you came to see the images, scroll down to the bottom, the gallery is there lol. Also another disclaimer, this is NOT a flyer. It's a glider, despite its appearance. The real yi qi couldn't hold sustained flight and neither can this one. Yi qi is the name of this very real creature that existed during the late jurassic period in what today is China, it means "Strange wing" in chinese. However, Yi is the name of the genus and qi is the name of the species, like Tyrannosaurus and rex. So calling it "Yi qi something else" wouldn't make much sense lol. Hence why this arkified version is named Yi xue, meaning "Bloody wing" in chinese. That being said, let's proceed. Sorry if it's a bit messy, I've not had time to put it up too well before the vote, but here's all this bad boy's got running for. The quality of some images is a bit pixelated because of the submission's 400kb max size, which is pretty difficult to adjust to with several images lmao Yi Xue: A large bird-like dinosaur that has bat-like wings and can glide through the caverns with ease, similar to rock drake. A creature that rewards skill, patience and calculation over facetanking, albeit with a bunch of drawbacks to make it a true glass cannon. Its moveset and movement abilities are inspired by the Dark Souls saga and its immersive combat system. It features razor feathers and quills that it shoots at its victims, causing a special kind of bleed. While the bleed does no damage, it’s a mark, signaling how many feathers have carved the flesh of the victim. Then, Yi Xue can trigger the mark, dealing devastating damage. Here's how the Eviscerate attack works portrayed in an image. Don't worry, the Spino will live... probably. This is what happens when you let Yi xue stack too many feathers on you. The creature can maneuver quite well through the caverns and has quite decent gliding, being able to flap its wings to gain momentum. Also, the more melee stat, the more quills it can shoot, and the more stamina, the faster it will create additional feathers, enticing towards levelling your Yi xue for a full-damage oneshot build. Alternatively it can use rock drake feathers if it runs out of feathers to shoot. Be wary when exploring the element chamber though, as Yi Xue is not immune to the effects of radiation. When the bleed mark is triggered, if the target loses more than half its health with the attack, it is feared for 20 seconds and receives full damage from any source for a minute, no matter the armor or natural resistance a creature has. It is also slowed by 30% for that minute, making Yi an absolutely devastating assassination mount, good for small and large targets alike. Additionally, it can perform several mobility abilities, like backward dodges or sidesteps, giving it a brief time of invulnerability, at the cost of its momentum and a great amount of stamina. If the Yi is hit by any sort of melee or creature damage while gliding or soaring, it will fall to the ground and be unable to glide for 10 seconds after it was hit. It can still sidestep and leap backwards, though, so keep in mind it still is very mobile. You can also cause an enemy Yi xue to fall to the ground by using bullets, but it will take quite a few shots to do so. Yi xue is quite fast when gliding, so repeatedly landing shots isn't an easy task. That way, if you're the one using a Yi xue, you're punished for getting too close to danger and not minding your spacing, but you aren't absolutely clowned on if your enemy has a sniper rifle, you still have a chance. Do keep in mind that you can only be knocked out of the air if you're gliding, so taking damage while on the ground doesn't punish you as hard. Think of what fighting position benefits you the most depending on the scenario! Yi can also coat its quills with different substances and poisons, giving it alternative uses. For example, it can coat them with narcotics or biotoxin to use its feathers as an alternative method to using tranquilizers with a crossbow or a rifle. Furthermore, the amount of torpor scales with melee damage, so it’s as effective as high tier crossbows and rifles, not a joke like scorpions or pachys. There’s more things Yi can coat its feathers with; Ascerbic mushroom spores will cause dizziness and hallucinations like the fertile mushroom spore nausea, drowning the target and confusing it. Aquatic mushrooms will slightly slow and decrease the target’s resistance to damage by a slight amount, as well as applying the freezing effect on players Plant species Z fruits will work as usual, blinding and stunning, but also healing allies by a slight amount. Propellant will cause the feathers to be on fire, but these feathers won’t count towards the total feather count of the mark Reaper pheromones will cocoon the target. And will also give them the reaper pheromone buff, because why wouldn’t it? It’s reaper pheromones. Yi Xue also has a TEK saddle. However this one doesn’t go pew pew, it’s slightly different. Yi has enough of an arsenal already, it doesn’t need lasers. What the TEK saddle does is stabilize its dashes and make them even more maneuverable, as well as having an ability that blocks incoming attacks for half a second after activation. A parry ability, to put it bluntly. Let’s say you’re facing someone with a sniper rifle and you’re soaring around. If they hit you and you parry in time, your Yi won’t be stunned and will receive no damage, at the cost of a hefty amount of element. That’ll give you an edge to seek proper terrain to fight instead of glide shooting. Or if you were hit once by a rex or giga, instead of plummeting to the ground to certain death because you missed a dodge, you get to keep gliding and avoid that damage. This ability has a rather long cooldown, 15 seconds, it’s a not-so-indulgent, expensive get out of jail card that requires precise timing and incentives to keep spacing yourself instead of being greedy for damage. Abilities Passive: - (Passive) Yi xue’s mark of blood: A debuff that is applied once you’re hit by a feather from a Yi xue. It doesn’t add or take stats, nor does it do any damage. The amount of stacks lowers over time, wearing off. If the Yi xue attacks you while you have an active mark, the mark is removed and you take damage based on the amount of feather stacks you had. The more feather stacks, the more damage, ramping up massively to extremely dangerous numbers, or being weak as a melee attack. The mark can also be applied from the air while gliding, it isn’t restricted to ground only. - Feather making: Yi xue generates one Yi xue feather every so often, that it can use as a projectile. If your mount runs out of these, you can’t shoot. Increase stamina to make this process faster. The higher the stamina stat, the faster the production! On ground: - Bite: Left click, does 40 damage. It’s got pretty big teeth and a pointy beak. Activates the bleed mark on all targets hit. - Feather shot: Right click, does 10 damage. Adds 1 feather stack to the enemy hit. The rate of fire is increased the higher the melee stat of the Yi xue is. - Ammo type change: G, opens up a wheel displaying the different feather types. Normal, rock drake, tranq feathers (narcotic coated), propellant coated, etc. - Roar/Taunt: Ctrl, aesthetic - Jump: Jump to start gliding - Double tap D or A: Side step. Use this to quickly reposition yourself and get out of harm’s way, gaining a brief moment of invulnerability. Useful for fighting large, bulky creatures like rock drakes or reapers, or to dodge projectiles. - Double tap S: Backwards leap. Use this to quickly reposition yourself and get out of harm’s way, gaining a brief moment of invulnerability, like the sidestep. Gliding works a bit like a mix between maewing and managarmr. Hold shift to glide, but you can’t glide up like a rock drake, and you lose height rather quickly unlike a maewing. Tap space while gliding to flap the yi’s wings and dash in the air towards the facing direction. This costs a huge amount of stamina, but you can gain altitude by doing this. You can cling to walls like a tapejara, quickly regaining stamina. You won’t be stunned if you’re hit while clinging, unlike gliding. You can’t move while clinging to a wall, unlike deinonychus. You also cannot use mounted weaponry while riding a Yi xue, neither on the ground nor while gliding. Yi xue is already enough of a powerhouse, it doesn’t need a rider with an ascendant shotgun on it. Abilities while gliding: - Left click: Bite, same as on the ground, though it’s hard to land this attack while moving fast. Activates the bleed mark on all targets hit. - Hold right click: You enter a shooting stance while strafing in the air, still gliding. Think of it like managarmr when you’re spitting ice, it strafes and slowly glides down, but you can aim. Hold to aim, and now press left click to shoot feathers while strafing. 10 damage like on the ground and adds a stack to the mark. The rate of fire is increased the higher the melee stat of the Yi xue is. - Ammo type change: G, opens up a wheel displaying the different feather types. Normal, rock drake, tranq feathers (narcotic coated), propellant coated, etc. - Double tap D or A: Side air dash. Use this to quickly reposition yourself and get out of harm’s way, gaining a brief moment of invulnerability. Useful for fighting large, bulky creatures like rock drakes or reapers, or to dodge projectiles. Cannot be used while aiming with right click. - Double tap S: Backwards air dash. Use this to quickly reposition yourself and get out of harm’s way, gaining a brief moment of invulnerability, like the side air dash. Cannot be used while aiming with right click. - X: Eviscerate. Yi xue becomes immune to stuns for the duration of this attack. The Yi lunges towards the desired direction, dealing 50 damage and activating the bleed mark on all targets it hits, if there is a bleed mark. While in this attack, even if they shoot you or bite you, you can’t be knocked out of the air! However you can be netted, so be careful, or be prepared for when an enemy Yi performs this attack to completely outplay it. - Ctrl: Roar/Taunt. Base Stats HP: 210, same as Pteranodon Stamina: 250 Oxygen: 150 Food: 1400 Weight: 150 Movement Speed: Faster than Raptor, slightly slower than Gallimimus Melee damage is listed in the abilities section! Taming In order to tame a Yi xue you must first let it pelt you with feathers. If you're doing this on foot, it won't take it long to plunge towards you. Once it dives towards you to activate the mark and deal massive damage to you, shoot a net with a harpoon gun to trap it. Then, passively feed it meat while it's trapped, mutton or kibble. Rinse and repeat. It prefers regular kibble. Yi xues are naturally found in the fertile chamber, as well as the bioluminescent chamber. They can't venture into the element chamber as they aren't immune to radiation damage, like ravagers. And now for the Dossier! Common Name: Yi qi Species: Yi xue Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Commonly mistaken for its much smaller cousin, Yi xue is a ravenous beast fitting of its unique environment. Much like Draconis obscurum, Yi xue is able to glide through the caverns with its bat-like wings, although it is incapable of flight. Despite its fame as a murderer of unwary survivors, Yi is a rather fragile creature, barely able to stand against a raptor in a duel. However, its strength comes from its unique behavior and hunting tactics. Instead of diving head on like most beasts do, Yi takes a much more tactical approach, gliding over its victims while raining down razor feathers made of a special keratin. The feathers themselves are mere annoyance, but they carve the victim’s flesh, covering it with light, barely noticeable wounds. When the Yi has covered its victims with enough feather-induced wounds, it strikes fast like a lightning, absolutely decimating its opponent as it’s turned into mincemeat from its now very much open wounds. Domesticated While many will choose a Rock drake over a Yi xue for combat, traveling and utility, those who have trained extensively along these wyvern-like dinosaurs claim they’re the ultimate tactician mount, able to outmaneuver most threats in the caverns while giving even reapers a run for their money in terms of damage. Though one must first master the drawbacks that come with the usage of Yi xue, for there’s a plethora of dangers that can easily turn a Yi and its rider into kibble, like a pack of Ravagers, a Megalosaurus or even radiation. That's it, thank you for sticking around and it'd mean the world to me if you upvoted Yi xue! Thank you for reading it all up to this point, and have fun with the contest! Funny size comparison here. It can be ridden as stated before.
  3. Dossier: Common Name: Ornimegalonyx Species: Ornimegalonyx Terranoctua Time: Late Pleistocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Ornimegalonyx is a giant terrestrial species of owl that lives in plains and deserts. Like most ground owls, they burrow underground and make dens, but unlike most, they hunt at night. Also unlike most burrowing owls, they seem to still have some control over their abnormally large wings that normal ground owls don’t have. Their feathers seem to fold against its body very well, allowing them to be very aerodynamic. This influences their hunting style, going to large heights, and sky diving at their prey. The most interesting part of the owl is its stealthiness. The Ornimegalonyx doesn't even make a peep while hunting, even when jumping around with its strong legs. Ornimegalonyx seems to have a certain hunting style that not only make it faster and fierce, but make them completely silent, to the point where creatures with echolocation can't even hear them. They do, however, hate certain light producing objects. Domesticated: Ornimegalonyx is an incredible stealth hunter that can very easily take out a target one after another. If that wasn’t good enough, I’ve seen survivors strap on jets onto the backs of these, allowing them to use their wings again. The fuel used for the jets, made from unique chemicals of the Ark, seem to combust very quietly. Funny enough, the jet's booster can accelerate loudly at fast speed and allow the owl to swoop at anything small enough it can grab. Gameplay: Ornimegalonyx will be a tad bit bigger than a Terror Bird. It will spawn in the dunes or (in the plains on other maps) in packs of 2 to 3. They will attack medium sized creatures. They might surprise attack players by burrowing underground. They only spawn during the night, and during the day they will be underground. Taming Information: Ornimegalonyx are a knockout tame that can only be tamed during the night. While their torpor does drain at a super fast rate,if there is an electrical storm, any Charge related source, or fire light, touches it, then their torpor will drain at a normal rate. Creature abilities: Passive: During the night, the Ornimegalonyx is able to be ignored by all wild creatures. Ornimegalonyx makes very little noise. Has Stalker vision during the night. First Ability, Slash Ornimegalonyx will perform a basic claw slash or peck while running, and will do around the same amount of damage as the Terror Bird Second Ability: Jump Ornimegalonyx will do a leap similar to Ferox, being more horizontal than vertical Third Ability: Float Ornimegalonyx does a float like there Terror Bird, except descends a lot quicker. Fourth Ability: Sky Dive While in the air, the can land back on the ground, similar to a Managamr dive, except if a target is hit, the Ornimegalonyx will pin any small target to the ground, and will start scratching at it. Has 25% armor piercing. Uses a lot of stamina Fifth Ability: Prowl Will grant the Prowl Buff until toggled off or stamina runs out. Prowl will make the Ornimegalonyx completely silent, where Parsaurs and Desmodus can’t detect them. Damage and Speed also increase by 30%. While Prowl is activated, the Ornimegalonyx stamina will drain at a pretty fast rate. Will automatically deactivate if Charge is around. Fifth Ability: Burrow Ornimegalonxy burrows underground like a Basilisk, but moves at a much slower rate. If Jet saddle is equipped, Ornimegalonxy can shoot itself out of the ground. Will cause a lot of noise Jet Saddled: Allows Ornimegalonyx to fly, just being a bit slower than the Desmodus, but doesn’t have a good turning radius. Skydive happens much quicker. Sixth Ability: Swoop Ornimegalonyx will swoop down, and grab a smaller target and throw them forward a considerable distance. Will create a lot of noise Seventh Ability: Sky Burrow: While in the air, Ornimegalonyx will do a straight dive back into the ground, and burrow itself. Other Information: Immune to fall damage. Has normal breeding function with its breeding stats being similar to a Snow Owl. Has a Primitive saddle that is unlocked at level 56 that has armor value. The Jet saddle can be unlocked at level 68 with no armor value and can be crafted in a fabricator. A special fuel used for the jet saddle, called Augmented Gasoline, can be made in the Chemical Bench or Mortar and Pestle, made from gasoline, angler gel, and polymer. Can be hit with bola and net. Weapons can be used on this creature. Gameplay Uses: Ornimegalonyx will be an excellent stealth creature, with its being able to take down one target at a time with anything noticing. Its skydive will be this creature's main attack, being able to dismount survivors and deal major damage to them. If that doesn’t work, then its prowl can be used to finish a target off. Not to mention its jet saddle, which not only gives it the ability to fly, but also buff it's already good skydive and another dismount that can quickly relocate an enemy survivor so that they will have no help. This creature can also be amazing at rocket runs, with its two attacks that greatly increase its speed, one of which makes it immune to Parasaur detection. It can escape and surprise players with its burrowing abilities. Another cool thing about this creature is that you have a choice how to play it, with one saddle offering armor, and the other offering no armor, but extra abilities. However, it does have counters, being very mediocre at killing other mounts, and its Prowl can be completely counter with a Charge source. In PVE, this creature is excellent to use for taming or going out in the wild, with creature deaggoeing really quick off of it. Overall, this creature could be super fun to use in PVP, and would add a stealth creature to the game, something Ark doesn’t have a lot of. I thought it would be cool to add another owl to the games, since the one we have in the game isn’t really owl like. When I was searching one up though, this is the first one to show up. The only problem being it was a giant burrowing owl. So it thought it would be cool to allow this thing to still fly, but with the help of its saddle. The idea of adding another owl to the game was to make a stealth creature, similar to owl in real life, but since the Ornimegalonyx is a burrowing owl, it was fun to give it attributes from both burrowing and flying owls. 4. The basic idea for irritator is that it would be the opposite of the spino. While in water the irritator would be relaxed and therefore it would be slow moving and have very high health regen as well as little to no aggression. However, the longer irritator spends out of water the more irritated it will get. As irritator spends more time out of water its speed and damage will increase but health regen will drastically decrease and incoming damage will also increase. This would make irritator useful on every map but for different purposes. On scorched earth irritator could be a glass cannon perfect for killing targets quickly. On the island irritator could be useful as an early underwater tank. Items such as canteens or water jars could be used to temporarily negate the effects of the irritated mode if there is no water source nearby. Its taming method could be dependant on its mood eg. An irritator in water could be a passive tame but if its out of the water its a tranq tame. Should be slightly smaller than an allo. Other ideas: Angry irritators could ignore natural armour (rock golems, stegos etc) Relaxed irritator could have significantly reduced effects from certain attacks ( jellyfish sting, purlovia pounce, tranqs etc) Irritator sail could protect from extreme temperatures.
