  1. IMPORTANT: The current roadmap for Maevia is being discontinued. Due to outside circumstances that have suddenly transpired, Extinction will be the Maevia's last submission within these creature votes for ASA. To all of the loyal Maevia fans that have been behind Sovi and now myself, your support has meant the world to both of us! Thanks again for rallying behind this awesome creature we've all come to love over these last several votes! [Idea/suggestion by Shadlos, but we agree entirely with the concept.] (Below is a way for the different turrets to have their own clear strengths and weaknesses.) [Smaller/Lighter tier turrets] Highest rate of fire that also allows you to keep all movement abilities with no restrictions. However, all damage inflicted by these turrets are reduced by a certain % to compensate for the higher rate of fire while maintaining full movement capability. [Larger/Heavier tier turrets] Highest damage output of all turrets available. Something of a slower, moveable siege attacker with this tier of turret attached. The drawback to this is at the expense of drastically slowing your movement speed, disabling your ability to climb, jump, etc, and a severely reduced rate of fire. 🕯️Dossier!🕯️ "If there's one thing I can say about Maevia eureka, you do not want to be caught in its sights! I once witnessed a jumper locking onto its prey with the most incredible accuracy, lunging at it with lightning speed and within the blink of an eye, its prey was being saved as a snack for later. They seem to have the genes of a few other spiders like that of the ogre spider, as it can cast a gathering of its webbing along with a little dab of the venom droplet it keeps stored on its head, working that into its web to create paralytic bolas that seem to render its prey unconscious. I have reason to believe the hairs that grow on its back legs came from the peacock spider, but due to its need for protection, it also uses these 'feathers' as a menacing face that can scare off large predators, I've seen some tribes set up posts that they can hang from around the fronts of their bases. I will say one thing is for certain. Though they are nearly the size of a dire bear, they are quite the cuties, especially for being a spider. There is a certain intelligence you can see when you look into their eyes. I just can't place it, but they make truly remarkable companions with the ability to rapidly scale walls, caves, cliffsides, and the like. By no means are they a beast of burden, however they make up for this with their abilities to constrict or assassinate their targets. Maevia Eureka can take down much larger prey with its torpor inducing bola, the net cast, and this makes them remarkable allies for taming other creatures. Here on Extinction in particular I’ve witnessed the Maevia variant present actively protecting survivors from other creature threats. Whether this surprising, but welcome, protective behavior is due to a potential coexistence with humans from the past, or stems from their species’ understanding that allying with survivors, rather than attacking on sight, gives both the best chance at survival, I do not know. But who am I to question this heroic creature that has saved the lives of other survivors, as well as my own, on numerous occasions? Their intervention during confrontations in the wild has been a complete lifesaver." Hello there! I've been a huge supporter of the Maevia ever since I first saw its initial entry several creature votes ago. I'm not the original author/creator, which 100% belongs to Sovira and their awesome design/art/etc. I'm working collaboratively with them and posting in their stead to the forums so that they don't have to deal with things on that end due to outside factors in their personal life. However, there is no need to worry! Sovira will still be aiding Maevia from behind the scenes with new designs and the like for future map variants. - Delraz “Maevia Eureka is the jumping spider which is said to have lived once between 23 and 15 million years ago, and it’s now back for Extinction! Once more giving us the opportunity to possibly ride around on jumping spiders in the game we all know and love, Ark! I want to point out how much I appreciate those of you who've stood by and supported our jumper, yes ours! We stand together with this! It has been an uphill battle fighting against those who automatically drop Maevia to last place due to phobia reasons, which I do receive a lot of dislike for outside of here 💔 This has also been the case with our other dear spider friend, Yingi, and the snake Gigantophis from another vote. Spiders and snakes are generally the most hated creatures on Earth, after all. The jumping spider is quite fortunate that they are viewed as so cute to many who normally fear spiders! These are my thoughts on how Maevia eureka could fit into the world we play in, in a way that reflects real life jumping spiders combined with genetic modifications from other spiders, and how they might fit into Ark in a fun and meaningful way that reflects other creatures of Ark and how important each and every one of these creatures is. I felt that, as Maevia is more of a taming companion, this gives us a different way to tame creatures using a non-harmful method! As we all know, Ark is anything but hospitable in the slightest, there are many risks you take while engaging with your targets due to the fact that everywhere in Ark can be quite chaotic at any moment so having to be weary of your surroundings at all times is one thing, but the larger the creature, the weaker the bola... You may find yourself having to maneuver around an area and keep your targets attention while allowing for your jumper to gather enough venom to ensnare it once again.” [New Ability] 🕷️Architect The Maevia can shoot out a heavier form of non-sticky webbing to create a temporary bridge for smaller medium creatures and below (Para and below) to traverse to the other side of chasms, webbed ladders to climb up to higher terrain, or crude stairs to descend from higher ledges to lower ones. 🛡️ Saddle With the map's extremely harsh environment that has constant threats, corrupted, and OSD's, comes a high need for survivability! The Maevia's advanced saddle offers enforcer-like body armor (metal armor, -not- Tek) to protect its weaker leg joints. This armor also entirely encases their squishy, vulnerable abdomen. On the metal plating protecting the abdomen is a flat spot which allows an unmanned turret to be placed on it. Supply the correct ammunition for whichever specific turret that you placed onto the Maevia's armored backside to allow it to automatically target your foes in combat, both in PVE and PVP situations. 🏞️Habitat This is a creature that is capable of being added to any map in the game due to its likeliness of living in caves, but also as jumping spiders can be found in so many different environments, there particularly are no limits to where they could be found! 🕷️Ability - Tranq Bola The thought is that jumpers could take the droplets they store and work them into their webbing to create venom-coated webs that could be thrown like a bola. The webs would have a tranquilizing effect whenever touched, thus causing their target to build up torpor and eventually go unconscious. 🕷️Ability - Latching As a jumping spider, they have outstanding agility and the ability to crawl on walls, but at a more rapid pace, maybe even with the cost of stamina drain for balance! An optional thing I had given thought to was the ability to fully latch onto its target in order to accurately cover them with their readied net. 🕷️Ability - Prey Lure You're out roaming around on your two equus when one of them begins to pick up an irresistible scent coming from a nearby cave wall. Your equus is nibbling on a suspended droplet when you notice the faint glinting coming off the web it's attached to, within an instant a jumper has lunged at your equus covering it with its bola and is quickly wrapping it up in its webbing, but in order to free your companion you need to tear at the webbing, as a few good hits will send that jumper scurrying up the wall to hide! 🕷️Ability - Locking On / Jumping This is the single feature that would make this creature so invaluable, and even possibly make it require a very difficult feat for taming it due to that power, as with the spiders extreme accuracy, it has the ability to lock its attention onto its prey, much like our real world jumping spiders who wait for the right moment to pounce, and this could also be useful for when using its projectile web net, or if grappling with a single web possibly! This is a pretty big part of what makes them 'jumping' spiders after all! In contrast to its normal and Aberrant cousins, the Extinction Maevia can easily navigate the vast wastelands found across Extinction due to its vastly enhanced jumping capability which allows it to traverse greater chunks of terrain in a single leap, similar to that of a Procoptodon. 🕷️Trait - Scary Face This spider was designed in thought with evolving to be able to terrify larger than normal predators, making it an incredibly useful tame for bases, keeping your creatures better protected when having to move them around the map, I imagined it could come with an extra ability to raise its back legs with its abdomen to stay in this stance on the ground, or you could enable an option within the radial menu allowing it to find and hang down from a nearby pole, perhaps even a new item for the spiders and flyers alike, akin to a perch? 🕷️Trait/Ability - Dance! Jumping spiders in the real world have very little differentiation on sizes between male and female. When you have befriended a male jumper through an emote game and some bonding, he has the ability to dance for a female with your guidance. When you do the dance, the taming meter will begin to fill up, if you succeed with 50% of the meter, the bar lights up and gives you the option to continue enchanting her or to stop. If you choose to stop, she deems you worthy of carrying her offspring and she will allow your boy to breed with her, gifting you an egg if you protect her while she gestates! However, if you continue to 100% on the meter, you can outright impress her enough that she will bond with you and conclude the taming process! From both Sovira and myself, thanks as always for all the love you possess for the Maevia! 1 Vote = 1 Maevia who is forever grateful for your support! Potential alterations/changes suggested by others Maevia fans: The Maevia could also have corruption-like looks/effects similar to other Extinction creatures on its abdomen and it could shoot a strong corrupted climbable webbing. Instead of a tranq bomb what if the Maevia can use corrupted nodes as a special type of venom to inject into other creatures, thus inflicting a 'berserk' effect similar to corrupted creatures making them attack anything and everything in sight including humans even when tamed. This won't be instant though and will slowly come into affect similar to Rhynio sap attacks that can be cured with cryopod narcotic (because it makes it sleepier), or the creature being imprinted (the affect will take longer to activate the larger the creature). Instead of a latching ability, it could also potentially be a hit-and-run type of attack where it jumps on its prey/enemy, bites, and instantly springs away (the bite can inflict either bleed tranq or the berserk status effect.) The maevia can have 3 types of bite: venom bite- the maevias basic bite dealing little damage on impact but high damage over time. tranq bite- torpor inflicting bite little damage (needs narcotic to function). berserk bite- same damage as venom bite but inflicts the corruption berserk affect (uses corrupt nodes) Gacha coccoons, small creatures could be snatched and turned into coccoons, hung up and could produce goodies or other useful materials. Radial menu where the production, torpor, and other things could be enhanced, as well as weight of creatures depending on torpor percentage, for how small/medium/large the taming capability could be for jumpers. Torpor resistance due to thick fur/hairs.
  2. introducing Deinochirus custos, the apex omnivore duck! (Not actual dossier just for reference) Wild: Deinochirus custos will usually be prowling the wasteland, desert dome and sunken forest, You will also find them fishing at water areas and competing with spinos for territory. Always on the look out for a corrupted creature as they will stop at nothing to end is. This is because they both hate corrupted creatures and love eating the nodules. Deinocheirus seem to be addicted to it. They have the ability to corrupt their own claws, sharpening and lengthening them. Taming: To tame these magnificent beasts u must first feed one a corrupted heart which will corrupt their claws and you must help them kill corrupted creatures. If the Deinocheirus take too much damage they will lose taming effectiveness, after they will grow tired and fall asleep 💤. You now must protect it from on coming hordes of corrupted creatures until it wakes up. This will always tame first try regardless of lvl BUT the higher the level the more creatures it must kill more creatures and it will sleep for longer ⏱. Tamed: Once tamed Deinocheirus is a force to be reckoned with, as this creature is giant, but more on that later. Deinocheirus has two different saddles. Saddle number one is just a regular saddle but helps with carrying stuff with a 20% weight reduction to corrupted nodules, metal, hide and element dust. The second saddle is a large platform saddle perfect for build large seige bases or for nomadic journies as this creature has immense stamina and power capable of over powering gigas and their corrupted counterparts. The Deinocheirus saddle is unlocked at level 70 and the platform saddle is unlocked at level 85. They are also great for boss battles and is arguably better than gigas for titan battles due it’s abilities. abilities: corruption killer; 3x damage and 2x resistance to corrupted creatures titan toppler; 4x damage to titans,3x resistance due to thick fur and adaption to corruption corruption frenzy; after eating a corrupted heart or 20 corrupted nodules it’s claws will corrupt and sharpen and double in length as it fur thickens dealing triple damage and 2x resistance to all damage, stacks with other abilities Hydration buff; when in water gains a hydration air conditioner; provides perfect temperature anywhere while riding for all passengers tek dismantler; 2x damage and 1.5x resistance to all tek creatures and 6x resource gathering to corrupted nodules metal, element and everything harvested from tek creatures attacks: left click, r2 bite basic bite; nothing special right click, L2 claw swipe; this attack deals bleed just like a giga and will also deal bleed when tamed when in corrupted frenzy hold to do it continuously x attack r3 wing flap +stomp; the Deinocheirus flaps it’s wings wildly while stomping the ground with it’s powerful feet dealing huge knock back and damage, this is it’s most powerful attack C attack L1 R1 same time; the Deinocheirus performs a nasty uppercut dealing immense damage and knocking the enemy sky high size; the Deinocheirus are truly giants being the length and size of brontosaurus and halfway up it’s neck extra: can do a custom chicken dance emote I hope you consider my Deinocheirus creature when voting!
  3. Survivor, everyone! Don't you want a dinosaur that is cool and good at collecting fibers, and on top of that, a reliable dinosaur? So, I propose the dinosaur "Fukuivenator" excavated in Japan. This dinosaur inhabits Japan from 127 million years to 115 million years ago, and is now considered to be a member of the primitive Therizinosaur. It seems that it was more carnivorous than Therizinosaur. In reality, the total length is said to be about 2.4m, but if it is added to ARK, I think a bigger one is better. wild Fukuivenator mainly appears in sanctutuary and underground forests, but it may also appear in snowy mountain domes. They are covered in feathers like Yutyrannus and are very fluffy! They are the same size as Therizinosaur, but they are faster on foot than Therizinosaur. Fukuivenator is violent, but it does not attack aggressively like other carnivores. However, it attacks from farther than therizinosaur. However, by equipping Gilly equipment, you can get close to them without being noticed. However, if you touch it, you will be noticed. In addition, you will be attacked by REX and Yutyrannus, but you will invalidate the roar of fear by Yutyrannus and get the same effect as the benefits of the roar of your ally Yutyrannus. Taming Fukuivenator can be tamed by making it coma. However, because they are covered with feathers, they reduce the damage caused by bullets and explosives and counteract the effect of Tranq Arrow and Tranquilizer Dart. Clubs and boomerangs are effective, but it is not recommended to provoke their anger. The most efficient way to put them to a coma is to hand them Narcoberries, Ascerbic Mushrooms, or Spoiled Meat. However, once you give it to them, they will get angry and start rampaging. You can't stop them from going on a rampage, so stay away and wait until they calm down. You can put them into a coma by repeating this. However, do not give Narcotic or Bio Toxin. If you give it by mistake, it will be noticed and act violently. It eats both fruit and Raw Meat, but prefers Raw Meat. His favorite bait is Exceptional Kibble. After taming Basic status plan of Fukuivenator Physical strength: 890 Stamina: 320 Oxygen value: 130 Food value: 2700 Weight: 325 Basic attack power: 57 Fukuivenator can be ridden by attaching a saddle. Therizinosaurs are better at collecting than them, but their fighting ability is higher. Also, by being warmed by the feathers while riding, most of the cold will be fine. Left click : Scratching The attack power is higher than Teririnosaurus. You can collect fiber by using it for grass, but you can't collect berries. Right Click : charge scratch It has a higher attack power than a left click, and you can make your opponent bleed like the leader of Allosaurus. However, there is a cool time of 15 seconds. Space Bar : Bite You can collect a lot of Thatches, Hides, berries and Pelts. In addition, the shock wave can stun organisms below the Jutaraptor for 8 seconds. C key:Roar The morale of the surrounding allies increases, and the attack power and attack speed increase for 40 seconds. In addition, the received ally can invalidate all state abnormalities for 10 seconds. X key:Grooming By mending, you can quickly recover your physical strength like Argentavis for 20 seconds. Also, feathers are available at this time, and these feathers can be used as a substitute for Pelts, polymers, and Fiber. However, there will be a cool time of 20 seconds before the next use. passive ability Like in the wild, Fukuivenator reduces the damage caused by bullets and explosives as well cancels the effects of Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Dart, and does not sleep by them. Also, it doesn't bleed because it's protected by feathers. In addition, by putting Hides, Pelts, and their feathers in the inventory, when they are damaged, they can consume one for each damage and reduce the damage they receive. Hides cuts 10% damage, Pelts 20%, and feathers 30% damage. As for the priority to consume, feathers are the highest and Hides are the lowest. This also applies to bullets and explosives, but not to poison or bleeding. Also, as in the wild, they nullify the roar of fear by Yutilanus and get the same effect as the benefit of the roar of their ally Yutilanus. Of course, they don't get scared. lastly If you think this creature is attractive, please vote! Also, if you have any questions, please leave a comment! From here on, it's an explanation for Japanese people.
  4. This is Leaellynasaura, the Center’s new all-terrain support Dino with applications for both PvP and PvE purposes. The medium-sized Ornithischian gets a size boost to be completely rideable, and hails from Prehistoric Australia. The Leaellynasaura is designed as an excellent forward scout and army-support, as well as an all-terrain alternative for Flyers. Let’s get into her abilities, shall we? Design Leaellynasaura are originally small, bipedal ornithischian Dinosaurs from Early Cretaceous Australia and Antarctica. Theorized to be covered in feathers of some kind to aid in temperature regulation. ARKs Leaellynasaura is similar. A naturally albino creature with light blue hues, the feather covered Leaellynasaura is hard to spot amongst the icy places it calls home. Unlike its real world counterpart, the ARK Leaellynasaura is larger, just under the size of a Utahraptor, and has significantly larger front limbs, boasting gripping claws. Dossier “Common Name: Leaelly Species: Leaellynasaura Aquambulatio Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Passive” Wild ”Leaellynasaura Aquambulatio are unique little fellas, found in arctic regions. Since they’re lower on the food chain, they can oftentimes be seen by the coasts, where they are the safest. Their fluffy coats offer them protection from the cold, and keeps them relatively dry from chilly waters. They keep to the shores due to the unique method they use to escape predators: walking on Water! Much like Basilisk lizards, they can run on the waves, though unlike them, Leaellynasaura can move at several speeds and even drift! They can even clamber up sheer cliffs if need be. They can often be seen near to the Mammoth herds that wander the Tundra, as they often defend the smaller critters from the ravenous Direwolves and Yutyrannus.” Donesticated “Leaellynasaura Aquambulatio offer unique attributes few tribes out here can master. Particularly, their impressive mobility on both land and water allow their riders to move at significant speed across most terrains, acting as top-of-the-line forward scouts and exploratory mounts. Interestingly, some tribes have been able to coax out a frosty armor from the air trapped within the fuzzy friends feathers, coating their Allies in a frozen armor of some kind, greatly increasing their defenses. If one can master a Leaellynasaura, they can potentially master the entire region.” Ecology Leaellynasaura are found in the north and south arctic regions, particularly around the coast. They are (mostly) herbivores, meaning they are oftentimes on the run from stronger predators such as the Yuty or Direwolves. They have developed a unique taste for Organic Polymer however, and will prey on Kairuku is pressured. They have a unique relation with the Mammoths of the region, oftentimes using their unique abilities to boost up the mammals in defense of their territory. Taming Leaellynasaura are tamed passively, through gaining their trust. Survivors must keep hostile creatures (including tamed ones) away from the Dino long enough for it to develop into a calmed state. Once it is in this state, it must be fed berries, crops, Veggie Cakes, or their favorite, Organic Polymer. If a hostile creature enters a certain radius, Taming Effectiveness and Taming level itself will begin to decrease, and any nearby Mammoths will become hostile. Abilities Leaellynasaura have a wide range of abilities designed to aid survivors in both PvP and PvE environments. Firstly, they are adept at travel, being faster than most other species, similar to the Galimimus. Due to its claws, it also has notable climbing capabilities, identical to those of the Deinonychus. The signature ability of the Leaellynasaura however is it’s ability to run on water, much like the real life basilisk lizard, yet with fewer limitations. Leaellynasaura can move at either speedy or more controllable speeds, allowing it to effectively evade predators or forage for food. While they can’t properly stop on the water, they can quickly drift to get into a new direction. Their traveling capabilities are only supported by their fur insulating riders from both heat and cold. What’s more, is they can provide an icy armor to Allies, increasing defense significantly. This does not heal like that of a Snow Owl, but the Leaellynasaura remains mobile and can reapply the effect when out of harm’s way. Uses ~All-terrain Exploration Mount The Leaellynasaura is a must-have for traveling The Center on foot, and potentially even for caving. Its unique set of skills allow it to be an amazing land mount, where Survivors can quickly escape a bad situation and keep moving to find their next target, and due to its thermal regulation, survivors can worry less about the environments they chose to explore. ~Forward Scout Due to its small stature, natural camouflage, unique skills and impressive speed, Leaellynasaura works amazingly as a forward scout prior to a raid. Few creatures can keep up with it, and it’s capabilities allow its rider to get a complete view of the enemy prior to any assault. ~Bossing/Defense Support With its Icy armor buff applied, Leaellynasaura easily pairs well with Yutyrannus or Mammoth buffs for both Boss fights and Raid defense. It excels especially due to its mobility allowing it to dodge and weave through attacks, making up for it’s relatively small health pool. ~Caving Dino while not as physically powerful as contenders such as the Baryonyx or Thyla, Leaellynasaura makes up for it with its impressive mobility, only matched by Deinonychus and Megalania within most Artifact caves. Notes -I submitted the Leaellynasaura due to the lack of variety in most community votes. While many different species (some good, some bad) have made it into the top ten, the winners are mostly the large carnivores (Charchar, Fasolasuchus, Gigantoraptor) or flyers (Desmodus, Sinomacrops, Rhiniognatha) and I wanted to introduce something new. Specifically a herbivore, as the last herbivore to be introduced was the Amargasaurus on Lost Island (unless the Andrewsarchus eats berries but I don’t recall it doing so). -the Leaellynasaura was designed as both a PvP and a PvE tame to appeal to both crowds. while I’d generally expect more PvE use based on its abilities, It can almost certainly contend among other PvP support Dinos. -I specifically submitted it to The Center due to the map’s wide variety of environments and conditions and the lack of a proper all-terrain creature on the map (that isn’t a flyer). -While it is inferior in several ways to other creatures (Bloodstalkers, Deinonychus) I believe the Leaellynasaura is an excellent mix of several unique abilities that fits into a unique niche on its introduced map.
  5. [Artwork done by myself.] 🕸️Hello allies of the Ark! My submission here is a jumping spider species that is said to have lived once between 23 and 15 million years ago, and the excitement of that discovery led to its last name, eureka! I genuinely hope to see Maevia eureka find its way to Ark some day, any support for it is infinitely appreciated, please take a moment to toss it a vote if you would like to see it around in Ark! As it is in Aberration, there are many risks you take while engaging with your targets due to the fact that aberration can be quite chaotic so having to be weary of your surroundings at all times is one thing, but the larger the creature, the weaker the bola... You may find yourself having to maneuver around an area and keep your targets attention while allowing for your jumper to gather enough venom to ensnare it once again. 🏞️Habitat This is a creature that is capable of being added to any map in the game due to its likeliness of living in caves, but also as jumping spiders can be found in so many different environments, there particularly are no limits to where they could be found! 🕷️Ability - Locking On This is the single feature that would make this creature so invaluable, and even possibly make it require a very difficult feat for taming it due to that power, as with the spiders extreme accuracy, it has the ability to lock its attention onto its prey, much like our real world jumping spiders who wait for the right moment to pounce, and this could also be useful for when using its projectile web net, or if grappling with a single web possibly! This is a pretty big part of what makes them 'jumping' spiders after all! The idea was that the males would be the ones that allow you to get close enough to tame them, while females will try to kill you if you do this, and when you find a male companion, he has the ability to dance when you find a female, you can engage in this dance, maybe a left/right/up/down type of button combination you have to get right in order for her to find your boy worthy of her prescence, and in the meantime you can shower her with presents of food until she wants your boy to dance for her again, gradually gaining her trust. When a movement is not corrected quickly enough, she would become hostile and attack, and you may have to wait for her to cool off before you can attempt this ritual again! There is a last minute really nice alternative way of taming these and obtaining females specifically that I would like to add, suggested by an ally of maevia! Alternative method for obtaining females! This would make it to where you would need to take your male that you tamed into the wild, and challenge it with a female! If you win the dance, the female will allow breeding and allow you to stick around, defending her in her vulnerable moment, giving you an egg (or web-wrapped little gift sac with a jumper in it or an egg or two)! This egg sac could provide a male or female you could have! 🕯️Dossier!🕯️ If there's one thing I can say about Maevia eureka, you do not want to be caught in its sights! I will say one thing is for certain, though they are nearly the size of a dire bear, they are quite the cuties, especially for being a spider, there is a certain intelligence you can see when you look into their eyes, I just can't place it, but they truly make remarkable companions with the ability to rapidly scale walls, caves, cliffsides and such. By no means are they a beast of burden, however they make up for this with their abilities to constrict or assassinate their targets. Maevia eureka can take down much larger prey with its torpor inducing bola, the net cast, and this makes them remarkable allies for taming other creatures. Though I haven't been able to get close enough to befriend one of the females, the males don't seem to mind me being in a remote vicinity with them as much. I wanted to add some other suggestions in a simplified form, key points from what Ark allies have mentioned before! - Droplets could be used as a nameless venom alternative, slower to produce but useful in situations or great when you have a plethora of jumpers. - Alternative where the male is small, female is massive, male used as a shoulder buddy that has major utility such as making ziplines, grapple, and large bola, where female is the tamer albeit slow with a few things to keep the balance. - Gacha coccoons, small creatures could be snatched and turned into coccoons, hung up and could produce goodies or other useful materials. - Radial menu where the production, torpor, and other things could be enhanced, as well as weight of creatures depending on torpor percentage, for how small/medium/large the taming capability could be for jumpers. - Torpor resistance due to thick fur/hairs. - Potentially immunity to radiation, which would help a tremendous amount when seeking rockdrake eggs.
  6. Hello all! This is only my 2nd attempt to come up with a creature for this so take it easy on me I hope you enjoy! This is the Vulpikala, and was heavily inspired by the Vulpes Qiuzhudingi, which is an extinct Arctic Fox believed to be the ancestor of todays modern fox breeds. Of course my creation is not an arctic fox but after generations in the toxic areas of Aberration, It has adapted some extremely unique abilities and traits in order to survive and thrive. NOTE: This is a Hybrid shoulder pet and mountable tame! How? Well Continue and you will see Vulpes qiuzhudingi Paleozoic Period Omnivore Curious / Defensive WILD The Vulpikara spent a great deal of their existance in blistering cold conditions, but upon traveling to this toxic zone, their everyday lifestyles have changed. They spend most of their days as a cute and innocent "fennic" like creature, and love to sit in trees where they playfully observe others. They have been known to "fetch" goodies for those they admire and in some cases become attached to them. They are mainly herbivores eating the fruits of the trees, but when provoked will not pass up a kill. When the Vulpikala feels the need to protect itself, it draws forth the radiation it has stored in its body to undergo a massive transformation, Going from cute and cuddly to LARGE and Formidable! If you are among those that have provoked this creatures transformation, be ready for a true test of speed and power. The true rival of the Vulpikala has always been known to be the Rock Drake. When it senses one of these creatures nearby, it starts to release a trailing glow as it moves signifying that the Vulpikala is warning its master and preparing for battle. Little is known as to why they dislike the Drakes so much, but it is believed this is due to their young being hunted and slaughtered by the drakes for many years. The size of the Vulpikala in full form dominates that of the Thylacoleo. DOMESTICATED Those who have become imprinted on by a Vulpikara have told tales of both true companionship and mystical experiences. The Vulpikara have been changed by the radiation of this abberant zone in a way like no other creature. When they or their partner are in danger, they waste little time leaping into battle from their shoulder and transforming into their full size in a flash that leaves those that see it in awe. This transformation startles all attackers as if they have been paralyzed for a brief time, allowing the Vulpikala and rider enough time to escape or fight. The Vulpikala can be ridden in this stage without a saddle, and is said to have the speed of a lightning bolt when it leaps out of danger, bouncing between cliffs and trees. If the Vulpikala finds itself in a battle it cannot win, it lets out a screech that disorients its opponent, and it releases all of its radiation to the surrounding area causing the Vulpikala to revert to its original form, but giving its master the time to escape as the cloud slows all creatures briefly, and pacifies smaller creatures. Vulpikala have been known to be an explorers best companion in the deepest zones of Aberration. Not only does it give you a get out of jail free tactic when it leaps into battle to save its master, but its ability to leap from cliff to cliff in a flash scaling even the most vertical of cliffs makes it a must have to escape any situation in the deepest depths. It is also an Ideal companion for stealing dino eggs from nests in the blink of an eye. The Vulpikala may transform to protect its master without being told to do so, but it is also known that some masters have forced this transformation at their will using a gas like substance only found in this area. TAMING In order to make one of these adorable creatures your companion, one must first create a bond with the Vulpikala. Once you locate one, approach it with ease as you do not want to both provoke it or scare it away. The Vulpikala will then decide if you are interesting enough to approach as they are extremely curious but prideful creatures. If it approaches you without incident, you then give it a "Toxic Substance" to empower the Vulpikala, then you have started the "Battle Bond" taming method. Once transformed the creature will protect you at all costs but its transformation has 2 side effects. First off it will cause all visible creatures to go into a frenzy, making them attack you without reason. Second, the Vulpikala also starts to build a frenzy meter as you battle along side it. With every kill the Vulpikala gets closer and closer to bonding with you fully but it also gains frenzy. Once frenzied its eyes glow red and it lets out a screech like no other that stuns all creatures around including yourself and attacks without mercy. If you are not lucky enough to get away in time, you may be its next victim. After the frenzy it reverts back to its cute former self and the process continues. Once tamed, the Vulpikala's "Battle Bond" with you is much like an imprint from baby to parent, but forged by the battle itself. The quality of this buff is determined by your skill as a tamer. NOTE: You cannot approach a wild Vulpikala with a tamed creature to start the taming process, and you cannot use a tamed creature to help you battle bond to it. The Vulpikala, as stated previously, is a prideful creature and will only bond with those fearless enough to fight at its side as one. SHOULDER FORM ABILITIES When on the ground, you can whistle the Vulpikala to attack any creature of its size. It has even been know to leap into the air and pull Icthyornis and Dimorphodon strait out of the sky. It has also been known that if it is wandering around on its own it can dig up and find valuable resources for its master. When shouldered, the Vulpikala soothes the master's mind allowing for any buffs applied to itself and allied mounts to last longer. Also reduces stamina consumption. FULL FORM ATTACKS Left Click - Bite attack that hits twice. Once for the initial bite, and once for ripping away flesh. Right click - A claw based slashing attack that damages and bleeds everything in a cone in front of you. C - Used to consume any "Toxic Substance" it is holding and let out a screech that buffs its speed and stamina regen for itself and all allies in the area. (While under these affects, the Vulpikala emits a light in the area due to the radiation consumed. Works like a glow pet.) CTRL - Cosmetic Howl CONCLUSION In my opinion the Vulpikala would be a perfect addition to Aberration as they are swift, can scale cliffs and dangerous areas with ease but in a unique way, and can protect their master with their many defensive traits and offensive traits. Plus the ability to steal the eggs of its only rival is pretty cool in itself I would love to hear your opinions below that could help me shape this creature even more! But remember, all things about this creature are subject to be changed by Wild Card. All art credits go to Blue Willow AI art bot.
  7. Welcome survivors, thank you for visiting our proposal ! The Red Panda is a beautiful creature and very loved by people, especially on the internet, personally it is my favorite animal and I would like this friendly creature to our Ark universe, here is an idea of how it can be implemented on the Aberration map, please consider supporting our creature as it will help to have a better quality of life for all players, either for PVP or PVE. For our version of Ark we will use the closest and most extinct relative of the current Red Panda; I'm talking about Pristinailurus Bristoli. Most of the time I have invested has been in official servers, much of this time is invested in the theme of breeding and care of babies, either to prepare an army for the bosses, for mutations or simply for use in the world of Ark, breeding is an essential element of the game and a fundamental pillar in the theme of advancing in the game, grow and get the desired Tek. Pristinailurus Bristoli will be your ideal companion for breeding, their friendly and playful behavior, they are the ideal companion to take care of your hatchlings, imprint them and even help with mutations ! It's time we have a creature that is important for breeding, as much as the Maewing, to give life to the best map of Ark: Aberration, and what better than a friendly Red Panda, curious and playful for this task, an ideal shoulder companion to use when you are breeding your creatures. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Common Name: Red Panda Species: Pristinailurus Bristoli Time: Late Miocene Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Curious/Friendly |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Habitat: This friendly creature would be counted in the fertile area near the most wooded parts of the place, centered mostly in the portal area where we all usually appear for the first time in this map, this is to help less experienced people to get this creature. It can also appear in the blue area of the map, but in smaller quantities, being a creature that is not fighter is easy prey for predators such as Nameless, Raptors, etc. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Domestication: Pristinailurus Bristoli is friendly and playful in nature, after finding one of these Pandas, its way of domestication will be in a passive way, but unique. To tame a Red Panda we must live with him, the creature will approach you in a curious way if you are close to its range of interaction (very similar to the Ferox when it approaches you when you have element in your inventory) this creature will try to play with you, it will make pirouettes, spins and jumps to get your attention, if you spend too much time near it, it will enable the taming asking for a caress, similar to the Hyaeodon, this is to start the taming process. During this process, the Red Panda will do a series of cute and playful animations, until he asks you for the next interaction, now instead of a petting we will have to give him a food of the player's choice if the Panda asks for it (the best would be kibble, honey, prime meat, etc) or doing some funny gesture or animation of our character (dances work quite well). After feeding the Panda (or any interaction it asks for), its taming bar will go up and you will have to repeat this action until you tame it, keep in mind that the Red Panda may move away from you as it is a very sociable creature, after eating, it will move a bit away from your area, make sure you are within its range of vision so it will come back to you. Once tamed, you can carry it on your shoulder like any other creature of this category (Otter, Ferox, Sinomacrops, etc). |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Skills: Pristinailurus Bristoli is 100% focused on improving the quality of life of Ark breeders, especially the x1 official server players who have invested like me, thousands and thousands of hours breeding our favorite creatures, developing mutation chains, or searching for colors in the different regions of the creatures. Whether for the experienced breeder coming from Ark Survival Evolved, or for the newbie starting his adventure in Ark, Pristinailurus Bristoli will be your best friend for breeding. This creature is the ideal companion for your hatchlings, as it will take care of them by adding the imprint of the owner of the creature (the Red Panda must have the common foods in its inventory that are requested during the imprints, berries, prime meats, etc) it has the ability to give cuddles to other creatures to continue the imprint making the life of the officer player easier, that in these times, it is increasingly difficult to stay long watching how a baby grows and ask for imprint every 8 hours. Combining the Maewing with Pristinailurus Bristoli will be the dynamic duo for breeding ! Pristinailurus Bristoli can help you with mutations ! but slow and passive collecting is required. Leaving the Red Panda roaming in a safe area, especially near bushes and vegetation allows it to generate a unique item (similar to the Desmodus elixir) a consumable that can be given to females to stimulate X% chance of getting a mutation (I suggest an edible insect or a berry), this will help now that we will be starting over in Ark Survival Ascended, as there will be no top creatures but it will also help players looking to get their own mutations. Either because they like to play alone, or because they play in a local game, this will not replace the original mechanic of getting mutations, and it does not ensure that the mutation will appear in some stat of your interest, but with this I hope it will help to reduce the amount of creatures that you have to use to get the low percentage of appearance when it exceeds 20 mutations, improving the stability of the official servers, by not having 300 females in a giant structure causing lag and graphical load. Carrying Pristinailurus Bristoli on your shoulder gives you hypothermic insulation, as Aberration is a very hot map for most players, carrying it on your shoulders will help regulate your temperature and you will not lose life due to the heat. To have a balance with this creature, you can limit the amount you can have in the zone or tribe, just like a standard or taxidermy platform will have a limited amount of these creatures to not abuse the ability of mutations, somehow I trust that Studio Wildcard can put brakes on this creature so that its use is not abusive, this thought for PVP people, the idea is that this creature improves the quality of life of the players, but will not replace 100% your presence in breeding. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| This would be all for the moment, any suggestions are welcome and comments that help to improve the concept will be very appreciated, I will update this post confirming that information should be added and to improve the idea that I want to express with this creature, let's make the Red Panda a reality in Ark ! thank you very much for your support !
  8. Sorry this was just something quick I drew up to show my thoughts on how the creature looks... Common Name: Manul Genus: Otocolobus manul Time: Late Miocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Ello ARK survivors! The creature submission I present to you all is the Manul which is said to date back 1.4 million years ago. Now this Feline is the size of a small wildcat, but as this is a suggestion for Aberration I wanted to try and tie in some ARK lore involving mutation from the intense radiation on the map! This creature will be large carnivore and help with navigating the whole map with its unique abilities. If this creature interests you slap a vote to help support it’s way into ASA! Wild: Due to the intense radiation on Aberration the once small Manul feline has been mutated into an aggressive 6-legged beast of large proportions. The large beast roams the cliffs in the depths of Aberration usually found by the pure elemental rivers. Their extra set of legs gives them an advantage to be able to go toe to toe with even the reaper queens that roam in the same habitat. Due to the radiation as well as living near the molten elemental rivers this large feline developed an immunity to the radiation as well as the molten element giving it the ability to swim in the molten element without taking damage. Domesticated: This creature can be useful to traverse the cavernous bioluminescent biome of Ark. With it's innate climbing ability it will help you scale the cliffs of Aberration and through the winding radiation zone to snag some Rockdrake eggs. Once tamed this creature's ability to ward off the radiation proves to be helpful as it effects the rider and anyone standing in the range of this large feline giving survivors the chance to live near the dangers of the deep. Its size is around the height of a Spinosaurus back but no higher than the start of the Spinosaurus large spines, making it a good rival to fight off Rockdrakes and if the survivor is brave enough, they could tangle with the Reaper Queens. Habitat: This creature roams around in the radiation of Aberration, usually found around the elemental rivers as the element has become a sort of cat nip to these mutated felines. These felines are territorial, and one does not usually see more than two or three in some places as these cats are more solitary creatures except when the breeding season is upon them. ✨ Abilities! ✨ Passive Ability - Aurora Borealis Protection AOE Radiation Armor (Protects from Radiation when around the tamed Manul due to the fur collecting and creating an electromagnetic field with its large fluffy fur) [AOE visual effect is a small Aurora Borealis to see the range] This is based on the how the electromagnetic field surrounds the earth which would represent the static electricity the Manul creates using its huge fur and the solar flares symbolizing the radiation of the Element in Aberration. And when the solar flares happen it creates the Aurora Borealis which is why it would be a neat affect to add to show the AOE range of the Manul's radiation protection. The reason I haven't suggested it being dependent on a certain stat is to give people the option of living in the radiation zone if they would like! Passive Ability - Night Roam These creatures will get a boosted attack damage as well as a speed boost when nightfall hits. [Without the daytime debuff the Megalosaurus have to make this creature more map friendly] I truly enjoy using the Megalosaurus but due to the daytime debuff it isn't really used much that I have personally seen except for on Aberration which is why it would be neat to implement it on another dino but remove the debuff. Passive Trait - Fluffing Up When near an alpha creature (Alpha Basilisk, Alpha Reaper. Ect.) The Manul's fur will fluff up to indicate the Alpha is nearby. [Similar to how a Rockdrakes feathers raise when a reaper is nearby] This ability I feel would make it easier to find Alpha Basilisks as well as Alpha reapers on at least Aberration. Attack Ability - Creature Slam Creature grab and slam attack (both front legs for larger creatures [trike/para/ect.] and only 1 leg for smaller creatures [ravagers/raptors/ect.]) Using its most front pair of legs it can pick up and slam a creature down dealing not only a lot of damage to the creature it is slamming down, but also any creature in a small vicinity. It can do this attack as it is able to use its extra set of legs to balance as it performs this attack. Active Ability - Wall Climb The Manul is able to climb walls with ease (full movement including side to side, as well as up and down) can also attack while on the wall to be able to defend against Rockdrakes or Wyverns if you plan on using the Manul to steal some eggs! This could also prove helpful to those who use creatures to build bases. This ability would cost stamina as you move but would not cost stamina if you are standstill on the wall. If you dismount while clung to a wall, due to the creature's size you would be able to stand on its head as to not fall to your potential death, this would also be useful to jump into nest spots as well, as the creature would be too big to fit into them. Taming: My thoughts for taming it is to wait until it's sleeping on its back (this is completely based off how my cat naps and can be changed XD) - crouch walk up and give it some Element Essence* - it will be friendly for a short while after you do that and when you hear it purr you have to pet it - then when you do that run away cause when it stretches the Element Essence* will wear off and you will have to do the process over again until it's tamed. *This taming item can be crafted from Element Ore and Nameless Venom (to make use of 2 items that otherwise do not get much use) and make something maybe called Element Essence, my version of cat nip due to the Manul's love for the molten element river it resides by. If you have made it this far thank you for reading and if you happen to have a suggestion, I am all ears so be sure to leave a comment! I am excited to see the world of Ark in ASA, good luck to everyone who has also submitted a creature!
  9. TL;DR: Medium sized carnivore / fungivore passive unless touched, secretes toxic threads on its teeth and on quills it can fling at targets, bite and quills inflict slowness while increasing the damage and torpidity a target takes, quills can immobilize small targets and slow larger ones. Also produces Narcotic substitute Toxic Threads, which spoil into Cottonlike Threads used to repair armor and create backup armor that is automatically equipped when armor breaks. Dossier Transcription Common Name: Qianzhou Species: Qianzhousaurus radiorumtextor Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore / Fungivore Temperament: Aggressive (when touched) Wild A species of Tyrannosaurid once only considered peculiar due to its abnormally elongated head, the Qianzhousaurus radiorumtextor appears to have taken its peculiarities to an entirely new level. Most commonly found where mushrooms grow in abundance, though the Qianzhou has been observed hunting many kinds of prey less than half the size of a person, it is in fact mostly fungivorous and will usually ignore anyone within its vicinity. Unless touched, which seems to send it into an instantaneously aggressive state. The Qianzhou oddly secretes a kind of toxin coated thread from each of its many teeth and quills, that upon entering a victim’s bloodstream slows muscles while causing considerable susceptibility to injury alongside amplifying the effects of sedatives. This same thread is also present secreted around the tips of the prominent long quills intermixed amongst the feathers at the end of its tail, that the Qianzhou can fling towards adversaries to pin smaller creatures including humans while hindering larger creatures that are hit by the quills. Domesticated Some individuals who dwell near significant fungi concentrations have somehow managed to domesticate these otherwise touch intolerant creatures to such extents to saddle and ride them, claiming the Qianzhou approached them whilst they ate mushrooms in a kind of curious jealousy, then gained its trust with enough care not to touch it while feeding it a variety of fungi. A domesticated Qianzhou offers a versatile array of functions with its unique secreted thread foremost amongst them, able to be used at both range using its quills or intermixed within its bite. Interestingly it appears the Qianzhou’s thread eventually dries into a toxin devoid substance similar to threads of cotton, that I have observed some survivors create protective inner clothing from that provides both additional physical protection and protection from various poisons, venoms and toxins. Abilities List Primary Attack (Left Mouse): A wide sweeping sideways angled bite that damages a wide area in front of the Qianzhou. Causes the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff for multiple seconds, increasing incoming damage and torpidity inflicted whilst also inflicting slowness. Secondary Attack (Right Mouse): A tailsweep that launches a few large quills off the tail forwards towards a target, which entirely immobilizes all creatures with a drag weight low enough to be carried by a Karkinos for a certain number of seconds, while significantly slowing larger creatures for a shorter amount of time. Also causes the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff. (C Key): A shoulder slam with significant knockback, useful for distancing attackers to use the ranged attack, but highly dangerous to survivors especially during the taming process due to the risk of being pushed into other threats. (X Key): A 360 degree spin releasing a quill in every direction, each quill causes damage and might cause the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff, but only immobilizes creatures with a drag weight low enough to be carried by a Megalosaurus. Passive Utility: Produces “Toxic Thread” within its inventory over time that can be used as a substitute for Narcotic or as a new intermediate between it and Bio Toxin. When Toxic Thread spoils it turns into “Cottonlike Thread” which doesn't spoil and can be used to create the “Cottonlike” set of backup armor. Cottonlike Thread can also either repair any armor to 50% durability within the Qianzhou’s inventory, or be used as a substitute for Hide. Taming A specific passive tame that leaves the survivor rather vulnerable during the process and requires no shortage of attention. Specifically the process entails crouching and eating a mushroom nearby a Qianzhou, causing it to jealousy approach and stare at the survivor as it leans down to look at them directly with a feed prompt appearing as it does. When fed the Qianzhou will randomly do one of three possible actions: -It will stand straight to eat, then lean downwards again allowing another mushroom to be immediately fed. -It will stand straight to eat then swiftly turn around, causing the survivor to either have to quickly crawl to avoid its tail or to suddenly move out of the way. If the survivor doesn’t move, the tail hits them and makes the Qianzhou become aggressive. -It will stand straight to eat, then after a specific delay will lean down to nip the survivor despite not becoming aggressive. If the survivor doesn’t move, all of the mushrooms in their inventory are taken. One random piece of armor is also unequipped (added to inventory or thrown forward, not deleted.) It will then turn around and walk away. All types of mushrooms can be used as regular taming food, with Mushroom Brew being akin to kibble. Alternatively, a randomized mushroom could be required at each feeding interval further adding to the vulnerability of the survivor during the process, as they would have to open their inventory to equip the applicable mushroom each time. Cottonlike Backup Armor Function: Unlike regular armor the Cottonlike set functions as backup armor that is instantly equipped when armor breaks or is removed, giving a survivor a better chance at not dying when their armor is broken or during the process of repairing their armor. Setup: When selected each piece of the Cottonlike set has a new action called “activate”, which when toggled causes the activated backup armor piece to automatically replace armor instantaneously when it is broken or removed. Only one piece for each armor slot can be activated at the same time. Details: The Cottonlike set consists of simple entirely cotton clothing created from Cottonlike Thread within a Qianzhou’s inventory or elsewhere, it having very high durability but protection between cloth and hide armor. Though has the added bonus of reducing incoming torpidity damage from poison-like sources (what Riot armor doesn’t protect against), and when activated has its armor values applied in addition to whatever armor is being worn. Cottonlike Backup Armor Visuals: Conclusion Thank you for viewing. Here is a link to the Qianzhousaurus Wikipedia page if you are curious for more information regarding it. 10. This may seem to be just another rex clone but it is very different. Apposed to the blunt and beefy style of the rex this beast is fast and sneaky but has one major problem , heat. This scary behemoth is slightly smaller than a rex with less health but matching damage, this will help change how aberration is played as it won't just be rockdrakes and megalos/ spinos but now there will be a new monster. This dinosaur has a different style of hunting where it sneakily stalks its prey using its fur to blend into the bushes , then it pounces and opens it's jaws widely and bites down. As this dino is only slightly larger than the Allosaurus it's bite is so strong it sends it tumbling and it gets rather dizzy from this. Because the thick fur the radiation can't hurt it and neither will it hurt any shoulder pets or human in a 10 meter radius. This dinos major flaw is when in heat it has a sleep meter similar to the megalosaurus but for heat. If this goes down far enough it will be nocked out and will have a heat sickness. {not my art work} This beast has 4 attacks: bite(left click) , giga bite(right click) , tail slap(x) and a roar.(c) In the wild it'll stalk the player and attack with the giga bite , the player must dodge these attacks and make it dizzy once dizzy enough it'll fall asleep. This dino also has a rage similar to the giga but it won't hurt the player or any tames and it'll just attack everything in the vicinity. After this this rage the Zhuchengtyrannus will fall asleep with heat sickness due to the rapid speed of it in the rage. If it is damaged enough in a short amount of time it'll rage and do this. It will have w , a , s and d movement so it can move sideways directly and can crouch when ctrl is pressed. You can also sheer off the fur and it won't get any buffs or debuffs from it. With the a and d it can move left and right easily and it shows more advanced movement. It's giga bite has a charge up and does high damage. I don't know if this will come through but you can ride it without a saddle and you still have some armor as the thick fur protects it , unless sheared of course. It can also get a hair cut with scissors and give it a green afro or whatever. It can also blend in somewhat like a rockdrake in bushes when crouching down in bushes. It's foods are like a rex but it also can eat rockdrake eggs to deplete food. You can cut it's fur to create the new fur x hazmat suit which has armor of riot and immune to radiation sickness. Here are some stat estimates HP= ~600 STAM= ~400 DAMAGE BITE= ~20 DAMAGE GIGA BITE= ~120 DAMAGE TAIL SLAP= ~35 baby Adult
  11. Taming the Megalonyx unveils its extraordinary ability to bend the earth around it perfect for defending your base and protecting dinos that are being tamed and is able to regrow nature itself especially for those looking to regrowth trees and other plants Species: Megalonyx jeffersonii Time Period: Pliocene Wild: Megalonyx led a solitary existence, commonly known as the giant ground sloth, was a prehistoric mammal that lived during the Pleistocene epoch ,Megalonyx is believed to have been a solitary animal that spent much of its time in trees, using its strong arms and sharp claws for climbing and reaching foliage. However, it was also capable of moving on the ground and may have dug burrows for shelter. Domesticated: Taming the Megalonyx unveils its extraordinary earth bending capabilities, with its sharp claws and raw strength is capable of vibrating the ground creating seismic phenomena which allows it to bend the earth itself , URE soldiers from Diana's crew were the first to find this dino managed to equip it with anti gravional scrapped tek saddle which does not require element, but can be powered by batteries and element ore, boosting Megalonyx earth bending powers, they also equip him with a short Cowl cape, making it the only creature that looks good on one. Abilities: Druid mode: The Megalonyx can regrowth trees , plants around him perfect for areas that have been deforested , it can increase the production of crops placed by players. Trainer| Megalonyx can increase the rate of growth of babies around it, not only that but it can also train newborns allowing you to imprint faster ( like training on managarm ) drop shield bush: the Megalonyx is able to regrowth fibers from the ground to create a shield bubble type bush that covers the Megalonyx and other dinos around him, creating a miniature shell that stops incoming bombardment perfect against poison type wyverns , tek , rhyniognatha and other meelee type dinos, it can also be used to protect dinos being tamed so they don't take damage from wild creatures. path finder With its earth bending abilities the Megalonix can create rampsand bridges out of stone/mud allowing survivors to cross rivers and oceans to reach solitary islands Tree of protection: Megalonyx can regrowth a special type of tree that buff nearby structures , turrets, etc receive an extra amount of HP under its protection , increase the HP of a structure/turret for a certain amount of time, dinos under its protection receive a small bubble shield that reduces incoming damage, this tree can be climbed like a redwood tree Burrow - Megalonix is able to burrow underground allow it get get to different areas even high ground by traveling underground ( Able to burrow like A rollrat being tamed or a basilik, but is able to come out underground on a different area like the enforcer) Sundering The Megalonyx can use all remaining stamina to slam the ground creating a directional line barrier that shakes the earth launching enemy dinos away from its path caught on its path ( short distance like a jump) slowing them and stunning them for a brief amount of time. Rough ex: Stone Stele: The Megalonyx is able to create a seismic reaction under him with its claws creating a pillar under him lifting the Megalonyx , giving it a higher position advantage against land dinos, the pillar leaves a pulsating debuff that slows stunts any dino around it for a short period of time. shield wall: When on this mode, the Megalonyx creates a stone wall around him, allowing it to creature a distance between him and enemies allowing it disrupt enemy lines Mortar mode : When on this mode the Megalonyx launches a large mud boulder thick enough that slows and petrifies enemies after a period of time making them unable to take damage but are immobile for a short period of time
  12. This is another one of my favorite submissions done by someone else. Sovira made the dossier themselves and came up with the original submission. If they do post I would like this post to be subbed off of their post. [Artwork done by Sovira.] Sovira:Hello allies of the Ark! (This art is from Sovira) These are my thoughts on how Maevia eureka could fit into the world we play in, in a way that reflects real life jumping spiders combined with genetic modifications from other spiders, and how they might fit into Ark in a fun and meaningful way that reflects other creatures of Ark and how important each and every one of these creatures is. I felt that, as Maevia is more of a taming companion, this gives us a different way to tame creatures using a non-harmful method! As it is on just about any map, there are many risks you take while engaging with your targets due to the fact that the Ark can be quite chaotic so having to be weary of your surroundings at all times is one thing, but the larger the creature, the weaker the bola... You may find yourself having to maneuver around an area and keep your targets attention while allowing for your jumper to gather enough venom to ensnare it once again. Habitat - This is a creature that is capable of being added to any map in the game due to its likeliness of living in caves, but also as jumping spiders can be found in so many different environments, there particularly are no limits to where they could be found! Ability - Prey Lure You're out roaming around on your two equus when one of them begins to pick up an irresistible scent coming from a nearby cave wall. Your equus is nibbling on a suspended droplet when you notice the faint glinting coming off the web it's attached to, within an instant a jumper has lunged at your equus covering it with its bola and is quickly wrapping it up in its webbing, but in order to free your companion you need to tear at the webbing, as a few good kicks will send that jumper scurrying up the wall to hide! Ability - Tranq Bola The thought is that jumpers could take the droplets they store and work them into their webbing to create venom-coated webs that could be thrown like a bola. The webs would have a tranquilizing effect whenever touched, thus causing their target to build up torpor and eventually go unconscious. Ability - Latching As a jumping spider, they have outstanding agility and the ability to crawl on walls, but at a more rapid pace, maybe even with the cost of stamina drain for balance! An optional thing I had given thought to was the ability to fully latch onto smaller prey in order to accurately cover the target with their readied net. Ability - Locking On This is the single feature that would make this creature so invaluable, and even possibly make it require a very difficult feat for taming it due to that power, as with the spiders extreme accuracy, it could 'lock onto' a target, and the net cast would be immediate, rendering even jumping managarmrs unable to jump, though I do feel that stamina might be a way to balance this out! Trait - Scary Face This spider was designed in thought with evolving to be able to terrify larger than normal predators, making it an incredibly useful tame for bases, keeping your creatures better protected when having to move them around the map, I imagined it could come with an extra ability to raise its back legs with its abdomen to stay in this stance on the ground, or you could enable an option within the radial menu allowing it to find and hang down from a nearby pole, perhaps even a new item for the spiders and flyers alike, akin to a perch? Trait/Ability - Dance! Jumping spiders in the real world have very little differentiation on sizes between male and female. Dossier! If there's one thing I can say about Maevia eureka, you do not want to be caught in its sights! Though I haven't been able to get close enough to befriend one of the females, the males don't seem to mind me being in a remote vicinity with them as much
  13. I am not good at English, so there may be some strange sentences. Excuse me. (私は英語が苦手なため、おかしな文章があるかもしれません。すいません。) I propose "Fukuivenator", a dinosaur excavated in Japan. This dinosaur lived in Japan 127 to 115 million years ago, and is now considered a member of the primitive Therizinosaur. It also appears to have been more carnivorous than Therizinosaur. The actual length is said to be about 2.4m, but larger would be nice if adding to the ARK. (現実での全長は約2.4mだとされていますが、ARKに追加されるならば、私はもっと大きな方が良いと思っています。) wild (野生) Fukuivenator occurs mainly in grasslands and forests, but can also appear in snowy fields. They are fully feathered like Yutyrannus, and although larger than Raptor, Therizinosaur is slightly smaller than. Fukuivenator is ferocious, but doesn't aggressively attack like other carnivores. However, it attacks from a farther distance than Therizinosaur. However, by equipping ghillie equipment, you can approach them unnoticed. However, if you touch them, they will notice you. In addition, it will be attacked by REX and Yutyrannus, but nullifies the terror roar of Yutyrannus and gains the same effect as the roar of ally Yutyrannus. Taming (テイム) The Fukuivenator can be tamed by putting it in a coma. However, they are covered in feathers, which reduces bullet damage and negates the effects of Tranq Arrow and Tranquilizer Dart. Wooden Clubs and boomerang are effective, but not recommended. 14. An optional thing I had given thought to was the ability to fully latch onto smaller prey in order to accurately cover the target with their readied net. 🕷️Ability - Locking On This is the single feature that would make this creature so invaluable, and even possibly make it require a very difficult feat for taming it due to that power, as with the spiders extreme accuracy, it could 'lock onto' a target, and the net cast would be immediate, rendering even jumping managarmrs unable to jump, though I do feel that stamina might be a way to balance this out! 🕯️Dossier!🕯️ If there's one thing I can say about Maevia eureka, you do not want to be caught in its sights!
  15. nanuqsaurus would of course live in the artic parts of the arks, where it would be a medium sized creature. as far as the abilties i think it would be nice if it gave u isolation for cold as well as a hiding ability in snow and maybe af a sniff that can locate nearby enemys. it would be cool aswell if it was a pack hunting dino like a pack of 2-4... and they could maybe have some kind of new buff when they attack? but would love a smaller but more dangerous yuty in ark Idk but thats just what i think would be cool. if u dont like those abilitys i came up with then think of ur own then:)
