  1. Albertosaurus - I come from Alberta so I figured I would submit this to maybe get a creature dedicated to where I live in Ark. Design - First picture is of an Allosaurus but I thought that one could fit the design of the Albertosaurus. The 2nd one is an alternative design because I know that Fjordur has a lot of snow so I thought a furry design was good as well. Abilities - Passive - Intolerance - This creature has been perfect by the overseers for the ark's for thousands of years they have been developed with an unimaginable amount of endurance when on long trips. The longer the Albertosaurus is walking or sprinting the less amount of stamina it uses. Decrease amount of stamina used by 10% every 30 minute up to a maximum of 50% reduction to the amount of stamina used. 1 - Defensive Position - Activate with C to change your Albertosaurus’s stance to a defensive position exposing the side of the beast and taking 30% reduced damage when in this stance. 2 - Charge - Whenever you are holding your attack the Albertosaurus will start a charging stance running at the same speed as sprinting as well as taking 30% reduced damage if doing this in your defensive stance but reduces your stamina increasing more the longer you are charging. If not holding the Charge attack when in the Defensive stance it will do a smash attack hitting anything in it's way with the side of the creature. Any creatures that are in the way of the Albertosaurus will be delt significant damage and knockback due to the sheer force this beast inflicts upon others. After hitting a large object while charging the Albertosaurus has a 3 second fatigue where it flips over on it's back, gets up and roars then you will have a 5 second delay before it can charge again. ( This attack fatigue and delay was for balancing out the attack so that this attack could not be spammed during PvP raids. ) 3 - Jaw Lock - a) Whenever attacking a creature slightly smaller than itself or larger than ( A stegosaurus or larger ) it will bite onto the creature making it have the bleed effect and slightly shaking it doing more damage the longer it is held but using up more stamina the longer it is held. b) When attacking a smaller creature ( Trike sized to a Iguanodon ) it will lock in its jaw and drag the creature doing bled effect as well. c) If attacking a smaller creature than a iguanodon it grabs the creature up into its mouth shaking rapidly causing the bleed effect, the Albertosaurus will occasionally hit it with it's sharp hand claws inflict double the bleed damage for a short 3 second duration, if a creature of this small size is killed while being held instead of having a corpse it swallows the creature whole. d) If Jaw locked on a sauropod it will slash at the legs of the sauropod cause it to walk or run slower when being bitten onto. 4 - When using a Jaw Lock on a Creature Iguanodon sized or lower it will grab it in its mouth allowing it to be transported in its mouth without being killed Saddle Design - Crafting an Albertosaurus’s saddle can have 1 of 2 designs. The first design is a primitive saddle just like any other but it has a more expensive saddle. The more expensive metallic saddle requires materials such as obsidian, organic polymer and gunpowder. If you put grenades in the Albertosaurus’s inventory the saddle will be able to shoot out modified grenades with 20% more damage and instantly explode when hitting any form of object. Size - Slightly bigger than an Allosaurus in Ark : 42 feet long 20 feet tall Behavior - Would hunt alone or in packs of 2 - 3 each member of the pack gains a 30% buff to everything when the alpha does an alpha roar. Taming Method: The more creatures you kill around its vicinity will show the Albertosaurus that you could be a valuable ally gaining it’s respect. Although it will attack you if too close. Once you have killed enough creatures it will stay at a 99.9% taming and will keep it’s taming effectiveness until it challenges you to a battle. Don’t worry, attacking the creature won’t make it lose it’s taming effectiveness or percent, just don’t kill it. Once it reaches below 10% of its hp it will join your ranks as it will be yours. It may call off a battle requiring you to kill more creatures until you gain it’s interest again and it will challenge you. It will keep repeating this process until it is tamed.
  2. Borealopelta: Remember Ankylosaurus That rock grinding animal I think it is time for a Varient Its a famous dinosaur that was mummified in Alberta Introducing Borealopelta Mark Mitchelli Borealopelta would Introduce a New Feature Called Side Spikes a Better weapon Advantage Glyptodon: Remember Doedicurus That Armadillo Doedicurus Is Lacking A varient Why Not Glyptodont there are clubbless dinosaurs Now Its up to both the comment section and Wild card to figure this out
  3. Neovenator somnum exterreri Temperament: Nocturnally aggressive Time Period: Early Cretaceous Genus: Carcharodontosaurian INFO Neovenator is a carnivorous theropod somewhere between an Allosaurus and a Megalosaurus in size. It inhabits the rubble, ruins, and rock piles of Fjordur such as Minas Truth and the Dwarven Mines. Though relatively dazed and docile during the day hours, this creature's true colors show when the sun goes down, literally and figuratively. When dawn approaches, Neovenator begins to wake and enters the first stage of nighttime transformation. Bioluminescent spots resembling marks from big cats such as leopards and jaguars glow with varying hues of green, blue, pink, orange, and yellow, and the Neovenator will become more energetic. During the second stage, the Neovenator will leave its territory in search of suitable meals. Due to its rather nasty habit of eating spoiled bits of meat, its bite has an acidic and corrosive property, which isn't even the worst part, as a deadly bacterium known as Pestilentia Multorum thrives in the unkempt maw of the Neovenator. When the bacteria is ingested, the Neovenator faces no ill effects and even manages to weaponize it as a hunting tool. At the third and final stage of transformation, the Neovenator has now fully woken and uses its crippling bacteria bite to hunt things as absurdly large as Titanosaurus. Neovenator has adept climbing abilities on par with a Deinonychus and has night vision similar to night vision goggles that it can share with its rider through its spines. It can also swell up its throat pouch and expel the glob of acidic bacteria at something. Unique variants have been introduced, such as the Stonekeeper Neovenator that features rock like scutes on its body, the Deep Cave Neovenator, which glows with bioluminescent gems and crystals, and the Alpha Neovenator, which features a skull on its head. TAMING Taming a Neovenator is like playing with biological warfare. However, they can be domesticated. First, find an airtight suit. Hazard gear, gas mask, scuba gear, and tek gear will all adequately protect you from the disease (but just a gas mask or scuba won't protect against acid). Though weaker at day, they will only accept food at night. During the early hours of the night, you will need to kill dinos or humans, but you need to remember to NOT harvest the body. Let the body sit until it's about to decompose, then offer it to the hungry creature. Neovenators are instinctively aggressive to anything rotten, so as long as you aren't carrying spoiled meat, the Neovenator won't attack. RIDING A NEOVENATOR Once you've tamed a Neovenator, you can use an arsenal of attacks to help immobilize and devour your target. - Press LMB to bite (inflicts Acid Burn, new buff called The Pestilence (drains 5% of total health over a three second period, only works on creatures up to the size of a rex) - Press RMB to roar (aesthetic only) - Press C for night vision toggle - Press SPACE for jump - Hold SPACE to latch onto surfaces, that, unlike Deinonychus, can be latched onto both upside down and vertically - Hold LMB for acid bacteria liquid (can be aimed with crosshair and will be fired upon release of LMB, must be refilled and charged with spoiled meat, liquid capacity goes up with hunger stat) MISC Featuring variants such as: - Stonekeeper Neovenator (Found only in Minas Truth) - Ghost Neovenator (Fear Evolved) - Deep Cave Neovenator (Found only in Dwarven Mines) - Alpha Neovenator (Found in place of any Neovenator)
  4. Common name: Megarachne Species: Megarachne Empusacheirus Time: Late Carboniferous (credit to my friend on discord MOSASAURUS) Wild: Patrolling the rivers of the "Vanaheim realm" of this perplexing ARK Megarachne Empusacheirus is nothing like M. servinei (to the point where I find it difficult to say its megarachne), for one it is much larger than its smaller relative, just as tall as Moloch Sagittarius (thorny dragon for non super biologists) , and is an active predator. It's eyes glow in a similar fashion to fish of the Anomalopidae genus and are usually a yellow colour but once an unlucky victim gets in its eyesight the glow turns red and Megarachne begins chase until the unlucky creature gets lucky and get's out of its grasp whether it be simply running away or killing megarachne or when megarachne kills the victim. The second abnormality is the mantis like claws (which can quickly turn into hand when it captures its victims) that allow it to climb like the ARK's Megalania and give fatal swiping attacks, it can also tuck in its legs and "crouches" in order to get into more (but not all) difficult to reach places such as cave entrances, when not crouching it can quickly sprint but will drain it's stamina very quickly. It also has abnormality is it's tail which is capable of shooting a web (that requires lots of time to charge up) that entraps the targets for a small amount of time. And it's final trick up it's chiton is strong armour on it's head. Domesticated: Taming Megarachne Epusacheirus is an incredibly dangerous but rewarding task. The armour on Megarachne's head makes any tranquillising shot on the head utterly useless but it's tail fortunately doesn't have this same luxury. Once tamed you have an incredible assassin with surprising agility, impressive "headgear", and the ability to go to places most other creatures of it's size can't. Some more clever tribes have found a way to create "patrol zones" where megarachne can patrol through the manmade zones and search for any possible threat that it's masters told it to hunt for. Megarachne, like every other creature has it's weakness. For one megarachne's "crouch" can't make it go everywhere, secondly it's tail is still vulnerable, bullets and the attacks of larger creatures/ strong melee weapons completely ignore the armour, the web shot is inaccurate and takes a while to charge up, megarachne can't see through walls, and it takes damage from fire more than other creatures. Megarachne is also definitely not a beast of burden and it's eggs/brood need to be incubated/raised underwater. The saddle is for only a single person, oh and also megarachne is a great oil and fish meat collector (more on fish meat) Gameplay: Megarachne patrols the rivers/bodies of water in Vahaheim in a similar fashion to how the E.M.M.I patrol the emmi zones of Metroid Dread just in a 3d space. Much of it's abilities are based on abilities that individual E.M.M.I have (such as the sprint), the head has armour but the tail doesn't. You can create "Megarachne points" These sticks when close enough create a line that tamed Megarachne can patrol in a similar way to how they do it in the wild (flashlight eyes). It is a standard knockout tame with the extra gimmick of the head, once knocked out it requires either spoiled meat, raw fish meat, prime fish meat, mutton, and Superior kibble. Saddle is classic one person. Eggs are layed in similar with other invertebrates of ARK but have the extra requirement of needed to be in water and the babies must stay in water until they are adults. Using plant z fruit also stops them in their tracks for a while. They have infinite oxygen and they gather increased oil and fish meat but obviously gather more fish meat than oil. When it captures a small to medium creature it instakills them but it leaves it vulnerable to other attackers and it can't attack large creatures. When captured a quick-time event happens (the sliding bar one) where you have a VERY small time window to escape. Yes is can swim like many other creatures but something to note; megarachne prefers not to swim and instead crawl on the ocean floor (it can still climb on underwater things like on land) the only time it swims is when its following something, told to go somewhere, told to attack something, and by riding it. It also has a tek saddle where it gains friggen tek berserker axes.
  5. (Not sure if this creature will get any attention, but might as well give it a shot, right?) Species: Nanuqsaurus forttachis (Strong Swift Polar Bear Lizard) Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Almost like a dwarfed version of its close cousin Tyrannosaurus Dominum, but covered in fluff like that of Yutyrannus Saevus, Nanuqsaurus forttachis is a very unique theropod. From what I've heard, this is a recently discovered creature found up in Alaska, but I'd never thought I'd see one here on the Arks. Do not underestimate this theropod as it is a very fast and powerful creature even though it is a fairly small carnivore, almost like that of a polar bear as its name suggests and behaves very similar to as I've seen Nanuqsaurus single-handedly take on the toughest of the Ark's creatures that reside in the snow biome. Domestication: I'm not surprised Nanuqsaurus is a very sought after tame by tribes. For one, it really helps in getting rid of most of those annoying smaller creatures as it seems to have evolved a fear inducing roar like that of Yutyrannus, but it seems to only work on the smaller creatures. Not only that, it's really good at collecting pelt for those tribes that like living in the snowy areas of the Arks. As I've seen, even though it is small, it seems to be very resistant against the Yutyrannus's roar, as I've seen a pack of Nanuqsaurus not even flinch against the threatening roar of the larger theropod that Nanuqsaurus is in competition with in the arctic regions of the Arks Overview: So, I'm thinking the Nanuqsaurus should be mainly an artic mount. It should be resistant to the Yutyrannus's roar and be a very good collector of pelt, having reduced weight. And especially, like Basilosaurus, have a hypothermic insulation buff. The fear inducing roar is to scare off those pesky Dire Wolves, Daeodons, Sabertooths, and Purlovias that like to harass you when you're in the snow biome. If you want to take it a step further, was thinking about a buff where the colder it gets, the more powerful the Nanuqsaurus becomes, and the hotter it gets, the weaker the Nanuqsaurus becomes, but this is optional. Still would be almost like a Megalosaurus in a way. Just thought it'd be cool to have a dinosaur that benefits from status effect and would be a great mount for people who like the colder regions of the map. Would be a great dino for taking on the Megapithecus. Could have a pack buff as well, like that of Troodon or Kentrosaurus. Oh! By the way, here's an image of what it should look like: Attacks: LMB (PC)/RT (Xbox)/R2 (PS4/5): Obviously the bite attack RMB (PC)/LT (Xbox)/L2 (PS4/5): Don't know what the secondary should be (Probably a claw slash with its foot or a headbutt to deal knockback) C (PC)/Press Right Stick (Xbox)/Press Right Stick (PS4/5): Taunt/Roar (If roar, should be able to scare off smaller creatures, like those pesky Dire Wolves, Sabertooths, Purlovias, and Daeodon) (If anyone wants to critique this, feel free to.) Notes: Thought this would be a great dino for Fjordur because Vikings lived in cold climates, and this would be great for that. Besides, many people in fantasy have tamed polar bears, so this would be basically the prehistoric/dinosaur version of that. Also, who doesn't love a new carnivore? Oh, and here are some sounds I found on Youtube that actually might work for the in-game sounds:
  6. The L O N G N E C C boi. Name: Mamenchisaurus hochuanensis This guy is a sauropod with an incredibly long neck. Its Diplo-like body is smaller than the Bronto's, but its absurdly long neck makes it taller. It would have an HP pool at around 1,850 at level 1. Wild: Mamenchisaurus can usually be found in places where their tall necks can be useful for feeding on new needle growth on tall coniferous trees. They are usually docile if approached, however, if attacked, they will either lash out at you with their tail, which will knock you back but leave you almost unharmed due to the low damage of this particular attack, or perform a Mammoth- or Paraceratherium-like stomp attack which will do very little to knock you back, but deal a considerable amount of damage. Also, interestingly, if you pass by its head high above the ground, like while riding a flying tame, the creature will look at you, confused (giving you an easy first headshot). Taming: It's your average knockout tame, but being a sauropod, it wont go down without a fight. It will aggro you for an extended period of time and has a large amount of torpor. Unlike its cousins, the Bronto and Diplo, It does have a headshot multiplier. Since the head is located so far in the sky, it is safe to say that it would be rather hard to hit consistently. Once brought down, it takes crops and berries like any other herbivore would. Its preferred kibble is Superior Kibble. Domesticated: Its large size allows for a regular saddle and platform saddle. Both of these saddles support two seats- yes, a two-seated platform saddle. The normal saddle has room for two people- one on the back controlling the movement, and another situated on the head, controlling head movement (up, down, left, right). This seat allows for a large range of motion that can help take aim at hard-to-hit creatures or opponents. If laid forward, it can create a bridge that can allow for crossing large gaps in terrain, up cliff sides, or depositing raiders over walls in a siege. This unique platform saddle, like the normal one, has two seperate platforms, controlled similarly to the normal saddle. The platform on its back is nothing special, being the same size as a Paracer platform. However, it appears to possess the necessary neck strength and musculature to support a second, smaller platform on its head, big enough to fit a single foundation on it. Due to the fact that its head movements can be controlled independently, structures and emplacements like cannons can be aimed to fire accurately in almost any direction. This is a blessing for raiders, who can simply aim the head down from over a protective barrier and fire away at the hapless structures and tames within with impunity. There is also a ladder placed on the back of the neck connecting the two platforms for convenience. Building downwards from the platform is a useful strategy too, protecting the vulnerable head from attack and making it look like your Dino has a gleaming helmet of their own! However, structures placed on the head have increased weight due to the strain it puts on its neck. 7. An extinct genus of sperm whale. Because there are no water exclusive creature in community maps, this is a best idea I can think of myself, especially for this map since it's more of a "cool" environment themed map. (Wikipedia article: As a starting point for basic info, includes scientific papers for cited references for article) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livyatan (Ark fan-work references) (Ark Workshop mod video reference) I can imagine it being something similar to what this modder did with their own Livyatan, in which its call can stun enemies. Just an idea.
  8. Masiakasaurus was a small noasaurid theropod from the late cretaceous period. It lived in Madagascar amongst other dinosaurs such as Majungasaurus, Rapetosaurus and Rahonavis and its genus name means "vicious lizard". The most notable feature of the Masiakasaurus was its forward-projecting jaw which contained many serrated teeth which were possibly used to cut up meat. Wild Masiakasaurus can typically be found roaming in groups around the beaches of fjordur or in grasslands and redwoods. The Masiakasaurus is fairly docile once approached however if a survivor disturbs it for too long, it and its group will attack them. The creature will lunge at the survivor, clamping its jaw around their neck which can kill them instantly if the survivor doesn't have loads of health. However, Masiakasaurus tends to be hunted by other carnivores as they're seen as easy prey. Taming Masiakasaurus are passive tames which like to be fed rocks which they can grind into flint. Once fed, the Masiakasaurus will run away from you meaning you will have to chase it. The best way to approach a Masiakasaurus without it aggroing onto you is to crouch low and wear ghillie armour if possible. You can bola it but this will cause it to aggro onto you which means you will be unable to feed it however a trap is a possible solution. Domesticated The Masiakasaurus is too small to be ridden however it can be mounted on your shoulder. On their own, they're not particularly strong against most creatures however in groups they receive a pack buff which makes them a force to be reckoned with. Its bite can also destroy armour with higher tier armour having more damage dealt to it (flak is the highest). If you whistle a pack of Masiakasaurus onto a large creature, they will latch onto the side of the creature, similar to a leech, and deal percentage bleed damage while attached. The more Masiakasaurs latched onto a dino, the higher the percentage damage will be. After 10 seconds, they will be thrown off the dino leaving them susceptible to attack. Small dinos (as large as dilos) can be picked by the Masiakasaurus in its jaw and shredded by its jaws, similar to a Megalosaurus. Due to the creatures weird shapped jaw, the inventory of a Masiakasaurus acts similar to a grinder. Placing stone and wood in its inventory will cause them to be ground up into flint and thatch. Grinding items won't require fuel however there is a timer for how long it will take for the item to be ground up and higher quality items will take longer to be ground up. Grinding items and material will give you small amounts of xp depending on the item's quality. Masiakasaurus also acts as a small harvesting dino. Setting it on wander will allow it to pick up rocks off the floor and grind them into flint, with more rocks being collected than using your bare hands. It can also gather a small amount of wood, grinding it into thatch. Its also great at collecting chitin, keratin, hide and organic polymer. The Masiakasaurus has a 75% weight reduction for flint and thatch. Conclusion Overall, I think the Masiakasaurus could make for a unique creature due to its abilities being unlike most dinos in the game. Its ability to collect certain resources makes it unique amongst carnivores and feels great especially for early game players and people who don't want to have to grind for hours to be able to make an industrial forge.
  9. Shantungosaurus is as big as a rex, maybe bigger it would walk on 2 legs, ran on all 4, and stood in place on all 4 while running the shant has a charge up, like the dire bear or woolly rhino, knocking over trees RMB: Stomp Does major damage to any target at the cost of a ton of stamina, say shant on a rex, the shant stomps on a rex with 1200hp, the rexs hp drops to 900, but the shants stam goes from 3000 to 800(just ranges, not going off of official or boosted) LMB. Tail Slap Slap: massive knock back and minimal dmg Hold LMB. Tail Slam Slam: has a slowing effect and deals massive damage to the enemy X. a bite the bite would deal a small amount of bleed due to the beak Left CTRL. Switches stance from normal to a soaking stance for bullets C. Alpha call the alpha call puts strength into each of the shants in the pack or herd, which would put fear, like the parasaurs honk, into dinos half its size and smaller, as long as the shant is a higher level WILD: The Shantungosaurus, while normally traveling solo is fierce as is, Its as big as a rex! These things are tough, some of the thickest hide I have ever felt! The shants are very protective of its territory if it comes into contact with a mate or their food source is low, if alone and there is plenty of food around, the shant is very friendly, sometimes even protects you and your tames, can even give you a temporary ride! the shants in a herd, whether its all shants or several herbivores, are the tanks of the herd, and will always protect the weaker, rexs tend to stay clear of herds with more than one shant, a herd with 2 or more shants get a damage boost and damage resistance TAMED: once tamed you should feel proud, the shants are no easy tame, you cant knock them out like normal dinos as darts bounce off and have a chance of hitting the person who fired them, to tame the shant you must use tranq covered harpoons to pierce its hide while mounted to a ballista turret a tamed or wild shant has a herd bonus, and is a great soaker for turrets as the saddle is on on the side of it and the shant protects the rider while soaking the turrets, the shant also provides a confidence boost to other tames, mostly herbivores that are allied Ingame Information: Tamable: Yes Ridable: Yes Saddle: Shantungasaurus Saddle (lvl 90) Breeding: Yes Egg: Extraordinary Kibble Poop: XL Size: Large Diet: Herbivore Group: Hadrosaurian Reptiles Temperament: Neutral (While Alone) Aggressive (With a shant of the opposite gender, or lots of food) Torpor Immune: No Bossfight Entering: Yes Stats (lvl 1 tamed): Health: 1200 Stamina: 900 Oxygen: 750 Weight: 1500 Melee: 35 (bite) 50 (headbutt) 150 (Stomp) 135 (Tail slam) 15 (Tail Slap) Speed: 120 Abilities: - Deflects bullets while in the soaking stance - 3 passenger seats, 1 rider seat Found: Forests and large grasslands, such as the highlands on Ragnarok or the redwoods Maps: All but Ab Taming Method: Tranq Ballista Bolts Favorite Foods: Extraordinary Kibble Drops (when killed): Thick Hide(New Resource) Meat Prime Meat Fits Through: Behemoth Gate Grabbed by: Tuso Trapped by: Chain Bola, Large Bear Trap Damages up to: Stone (Stomp) Variants: X-Shantungasaur (Swamp) R-Shantungasaur (Rockwells Garden)
  10. Hallucigenia is ARK's first symbiotic creature in a line of probably more symbiotes in the future, Behaviour Wild Hallucigenia in the wild reside in deep sea floors spending most of their time scrounging for scraps of meat or decaying bodies, they are extremely slow creatures and will flee when provoked however using any form of melee weapon to attack the creature, causing it to run away, will cause the attacking player to contract extremely painful toxins, reducing the food bar and health of the player while causing them to poop uncontrollably, this effect lasts for 30 seconds. Taming Surprisingly some clever survivors have managed to tame this almost inanimate creature. First start by dropping spoiled meat in front of it, which it will happily munch on soon after that the creature will emit a strange red glow meaning it is ready to attach itself to your spine, however this red glow causes all marine life in the vicinity, passive or aggressive to attack you, similar to the ammonite. In this short time you must head for the surface while it digs its many spiky legs into your spine and sits on your back also being affected by the creature's toxin side effects. The higher the level the more spoiled meat it will take to be calmed and more time it will take for you to endure the creature's toxic effect to tame it. Domesticated The Hallucigenia is a relatively weak creature, with its mediocre health and weak attack(Still retains the toxic ability if touched or melee attacked by enemy players). However despite all this, some of the survivors have discovered a mysterious superhuman utility for this creature. Firstly you must walk up to your tamed Hallucigenia and allow it to attach itself to you, it will sit on your back with its all of it's many spiky legs dug deep into your spine, although this may hurt a bit (Takes 10 hp damage when you attach yourself to it) it allows for some amazing abilities such as -3x swim speed -no fall damage -3x speed -bleed for 5 seconds to any creatures or people punched by you -2x damage -3x oxygen -15% damage reduction -Hallucigenia toxic ability (given to enemy players that have either punched or used melee weapons on your BACK ONLY) -Antifreeze (Unable to be frozen by enemy managarmrs or other freezing creatures) -Immunity from the cold and hypothermia -Fire Proof (Unable to catch fire and you have 20% resistance against fire based attacks such as magmasaur fireballs, fire wyvern breath and flame throwers; Please note that you will be unable to catch fire, meaning you wont take damage after being attacked by fire however the initial damage of the fire based attack will cause damage, which you have 20% resistance to) -Immunity from over overheating -Torpor immune(Only to tranquillizing weapons; Boomerangs, clubs and creatures that do torpor will not be affected) Please note that when tamed the Hallucigenia will have only 3 of the abilities listed above and which can be seen through the creature's settings wheel. Higher level Hallucigenia will have a higher chance of having the more useful abilities such as the torpor immunity, 2x speed and 15% damage reduction. Also you can only have a Hallucigenia in your spine for such a long time, any under level 100 will stay on your back for 5 minutes while those above lvl 100 and lower than lvl 250 will stay for 10 minutes and those above 250 will stay for 15 minutes, failure to do so will help you contract the toxic Hallucigenia disease but will significantly lower your health by 20% every 3 seconds, it will also cause the Hallucigenia to violently explode, killing itself and destroying everything in both it's and your inventory, also when it attaches itself you you, you must make sure you aren't wearing any back attachments such as the wingsuit, any torso armour or have any shoulder pets as this creature will break your torso armour and back attachments when attaching.
  11. It's time for another creature vote, and this time i have a friendly, Shoebill-like Orthitnomimid: Pelecanimimus Balaeniceps. Common name: Pelecanimimus Species: Pelecanimimus Balaeniceps Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Piscivore Temperament: Friendly Wild: Pelecanimimus Balaeniceps is a medium-sized Ornithomimid similar in size to it’s cousin, the Gallimimus. Unlike Gallimimus, Pelecanimimus is a piscivore, hunting fish in it’s swampy home similarly to a Shoebill Stork. Also similarly to a Shoebill, they are mostly solitary and communicate by what is called “bill-clattering”. Despite it’s intimidating stare and the large, strong bill, Pelecanimimus is mostly passive, even friendly to humans, if you bow to it 1st. Pelecanimimus is a natural fisher, catching fish with deadly precision. Most of it’s hunting consists of standing still in the water, waiting for the perfect moment to strike and decapitate it’s preffered prey-item, Coelocanth and Oncorhynchus. It’s other preffered prey-items are other fish, amphibians, small crustations, lizards and sometimes young Sarcosuchus and Kaprosuchus, often leading to conflict between these 3 species. Domesticated: Once tamed, Pelecanimimus is a loyal, sociable creature that likes to hang out with their human friend once bonded. Pelecanimimus also makes for a good traveling mount. While not as fast as Gallimimus, it is more maneuverable, being able to make tighter and quicker turns. Survivors have found a way to use it’s fishing technique for both their and it’s benefit. I’ve saw survivors command them to wait on the edge of a river or a lake to fish Coelocanths and other fish for them, acting as a fishing rod. I’ve also seen some training their Pelecanimimus to keep a live fish in their throat pouch for later use, or consuption. Their bill can also be used to trick other survivors into thinking there is gunshot nearby, for all of the pranksters out there on the ARK. Appirance: Pelecanimimus is smaller than Gallimimus, but unlike Galli, it its covered in a full coat of feathers. The inspiration of this dino's appirance is a Shoebill Stork, a real life bird that lives in centeral Africa. Taming: Pelecanimimus is a standard passive tame, but with a twist. If you try to aproach it, it will bow in greetment. If you bow back, you will be able to aproach it and feed it its favorite food: Regular Kibble. If you dont bow back and try to aproach it, it will be spooked and run away. Attacks and Abilities: Left Click: Bite (deals moderate damage) Right Click: Kick (swipes with its claws on its feet, deals moderate damage) C key: Cosmetic roar/screech LCtrl: “Bill-clattering” (also cosmetic, but imitates gunshot, witch can be used to troll your friends or other players, if you want) Spacebar: Jump You can set your Pelecanimimus between 2 different modes: Fishing mode and Capture mode (these modes can only be activated when near a large body of water) Fishing mode: When Pelecanimimus is set on fishing mode, it will catch any nearby Coelocanths, Phiranas or Salmon and eat it, gaining an small HP regen buff that lasts about 5 sec, and it gets the loot from the fish. The loot quality and quantity depends on its melee stat and the size of the fish. Capture mode: When set on capture mode, it will catch any nearby fish, and hold then in its throat pouch, but if you put a fish basket in its inventory or if it has already, it will spit that fish in the basket, thus filling it and placing the filled basket in its inventory for later use. Additional Info: -not a combat dino -not faster than Galli, but it can made thighter and quicker turns -any Fish Baskets in its inventory will have an extended spoil timer (by aprox. 5x) Dossier (art made by me): Let me guys know what do ya think of this critter. If any of you have any other ideas, leave them in the comments bellow.
  12. Behaviour In the wild Livyatan's main food source comes from the tusos swimming in the depths below, meaning it will spend it's time in the day in the deep hunting for squid while spending the night near the surface for oxygen, in general Livyatan is a force to be reckoned with they can chomp even the most ferocious of megalodon and have been seen even going head to head with mosasaurs and leedsicthys, it is aggressive creature so it will attack both you and your tames however with it's high damage and tanky health it's movement speed is unfortunately quite low Taming Method To tame this beast you must get it to chase you, after this step put tuso tentacles in the last slot of your hot bar and wait for it to roar, then you must carefully approach the whale and feed it the tentacles as it's mouth is open, this taming method is similar to the taming method of the acro from ark additions Abilities The Livyatan has 2 saddles, a regular primitive saddle which seats 20 people and a nuclear warfare submarine saddle, where survivors can sit in an airtight, reinforced cockpit, on the Livyatan's head sits a large metal compartment, with the press on a button from it's rider, the compartment opens up revealing many missiles ready to be aimed and launched, the survivor can control and aim these rockets in the cockpit. The Livyatan has high melee and health however this comes at the expense of it's speed, it also possesses a roar which scares away megalodons, it also has 20% damage resistance and a 20% attack buff when fighting tusos, it can't be grappled by tusos as well, it also efficiently harvest tuso tentacles, it is unable to be shocked by jellyfish as well due to it's thick skin and blubber, and when fighting a mosasaur a buff known as RIVALRY will occur, where the higher levelled Livyatan or mosasaur will receive a 20% damage resistance and 15% melee buff for 10 seconds, this ability has a 1 minute cooldown.(The pictures of the submarines below are to show how the Livyatan's nuclear submarine saddle would look like).
  13. i think it would have the ability to dig kinda like a roll rat but instead of gems it gets resources like stone, wood and fiber depending on what its on (sand, dirt and snow) this ability would be toggle so it would be a afk farm. i also think it should be able to roll into a ball and spike up and it would draw predators away because of the spikes. it would be the size of a hyenadon.
  14. Wild The thylacine will be seen sprinting across grassland, desert, redwood forest and jungle in packs of 10 led by an alpha, once the alpha is killed all the thylacine in the pack mercilessly fight each other until the last one standing, the winner of the brawl now has slightly boosted stats and emits a red glow meaning it is aggressive to any creature, unlike ordinary pack thylacine which only attack dilos or dodo sized creatures, they will fight if attacked by raptors, humans or anything within that size range but will flee from large creatures such as carnos or rexes Taming Due to the Thylacine's complex social pack, to obtain yourself one you must have a pack leader earn your respect by petting the alpha, after doing so it and all the pack members will sit down and wait 5 minutes for you to drag a dead creature in front of the alpha for it to eat, the factors affecting whether the alpha will enjoy his meal will be the type of creature, level of the creature and freshness of it's body. If the alpha enjoys your offering it will give you a thylacine from it's pack corresponding to the level of your dead offering it will offer you a similar in level thylacine from its pack, before howling loudly as running off with the rest of its pack. However if the alpha declines your offering it will let out an attack howl, commanding the whole pack to attack you and your tames relentlessly. Once all the pack members have been killed or tamed an alpha will put itself up for taming where you simply have to feed it extraordinary kibble and you instantly have a free alpha thylacine, also the last one standing thylacine (mentioned above) will emit a red glow and will aggressively attack anything, to tame one of these you must sneak up behind it in a ghilly suit and offer it a medbrew, it will instantly tame Abilities The thylacine has a wide array of abilities one of which is it's sniff where it will stand on it's hind legs and sniff out loot in safes, storage boxes, drops and loot crates and players, making those long trips drop hunting more efficient, it has a bite attack and a swipe attack, the swipe attack grabs enemy players tools or weapons they are currently holding, it can pick up inventory bags and small creatures up the size of a dodo in it's mouth and can carry babies in it's pouch, taking care of them automatically, similar to the maewing. It also can jump and has a stealth crouch stance reducing it's ability to be seen by aggressive wild creatures it also has a night time buff, providing night vision for the player and a bleed effect
