  1. Introducing the Pachy Lemur! It's Basically a giant lemur that is good for pvp, travel, building, crafting, boss fights, and early game. It has a few different variants based on its location on the map for example: the Ring-tailed pachy lemur is only found in the desert biome. If the pachy lemur would getting added to asa it would come with a new item, the mango! The mango is not only like a new food source but it is the only way to tame a pachy lemur. You can't tame the corrupt pachy lemurs. Wild ------------------------------- In the wild pachylemur insignis can only be found in troops. If the troops have baby pachylemurs the troop will be protective and aggressive if you come to close THIS IS NOT LIKE THE DINOPITHUECUS THAT WOULD BE MEAN anyway if you have mangos on you or the troop doesn't have a baby it will be docile. If the troop has a baby and you get to close the troop leader, basically and alpha pachy lemur will let out a war cry and every troop member is boosted by a 20% heath, speed, and stam boost. The Pachy lemur is also very different in each biome, the desert having the Ring-tailed pachy lemur, The snow having the Black and White ruffed lemur, The Wasteland has the corrupt aye-aye that has a 0.5% chance of being non corrupt. The Indri the Largest Pachy lemur is found in the sunken forest. Finally the Red ruffed pachylemur lives in the sanuaury. If you drop a mango on the ground near a troop the leader will inspect the mango and based on the freshness of the mango (its just the spoil time) the leader will drop a tool, weapon or amor on a certain rank based on the mangos spoiled time and how much were dropped. I wanted to make this creature have a unique ability like the gacha or snow owl. Domesticated ---------------------------------------------- To tame the pachylemur you need mangos and to do that you need to get mango seeds for certain trees and then you need to plant the seed in crop plots and wait for your mango trees to grow. Once you have mangos you need to find a troop if the doesn't have a baby you can passive tame the troop leader with mangos to gain its trust and then you can passive tame one of the troop members to completely tame it. You can also TAME THE ENTIRE TROOP AT ONCE by continuing to feed the troop leader after after you gain his trust (it will take a lot more mangos). Troop leader taming is a quick way to build up and army. If you use ghille you can tame troops with babys in them and if you tame the troop you can imprint on the babys. The saddle of the Pachylemur is double seated and the pachylemur can carry a lot and even hold creatures in their tails allowing for a quick escape incase of a raid. The saddle also has a smithy on it similar to the argentavis. If you put a blueprint into the pachylemurs inventory it will memorize it incase you lose the blueprint, it will also teach its offsprings the blueprints. All pachylemurs can climb up walls and jump from tree to tree. The pachylemurs have different abilities based on their location. The pachylemurs in the snow protoark can throw snow balls that cause blindness. The Ring-tailed Pachylemurs can grab creatures with its tail. The pachy lemurs in the sanuaury can harvest mangos from trees. The Aye-Ayes can grab creatures with their claws and harvest sap and chitin from trees. The Indri is just very big.
  2. Estemmeno is back! And this time ready for Extinction! If you were around (probably not...) during the Center vote, you may have seen our take on Estemmenosuchus, my favourite synapsid, so we're bringing him back and this time themed to be 100% fit for survival in the corrupted world of Extinction! Now onto the Dossier Common name: Estemmeno Species name: Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris Time: Mid Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild I am entirely convinced that Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris has no fears, they will fight anything that imposes a threat against them to the very end. I can't stress enough just how dangerous an encounter with Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris is, they aren't like any other Estemmenosuchus specimen, they are far different, they're aggressive, strictly carnivorous, and lay eggs, almost as if most of their genetics have been modified heavily. Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris is an remarkably terrifying predator and even the corrupted creatures fear going near to it's presence, which I partly understand, I don't know how to describe it but Estemmenosuchus seems to hurt corrupted creatures by far more than it can to regular creatures, maybe it is their seemingly natural taste for the corrupted nodules that can at times be found, I've seen survivors guiding the corrupted towards Estemmenosuchus and just see as they begin to swarm the corrupted slowly, did I mention they hunt in packs? Domesticated I don't know of anyone who has been brave enough (and/or dumb enough) to try and attempt taming an Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris specimen, in fact, I don't think anyone has tamed one as of yet, however, I know of many survivors who show an interest in taming Estemmenosuchus, which checks out, their amazing hunting capabilities as well as their increased speed when under pressure can make a formidable tame, especially against the twisted results of what Element has done to other creatures. Perhaps a way to tame them is by aiding them in a fight that they almost die to, slowly earning their trust, narcotics definetly seem to not work, and hand-feeding them would be feeding them your hand, I also highly doubt they'll let you 10 feet near their young or eggs, but then again, this continues to be nothing other than a theory. And that was the dossier! Of course, we had to change it for it to stand out more, now onto the abilities of an Estemmenosuchus and why you should tame it - Increased Damage to all corrupted creatures; This means that if you're ever in some trouble with creatures that are even slightly corrupted, Estemmenosuchus will deal increased damage and will take less damage against Corrupted creatures, this also includes to creatures like Velanosaurus and Managarmr. - Pack mindset; As stated earlier, Estemmenosuchus spawns and will be in packs, these packs can be of 6-8 members, you will likely see the leader far away from the pack, just remember, if you see an Estemmenosuchus, their buddies are around too, you're always being watched. - Taming method; Trust gain, instead of stealing their eggs, killing their pack, knocking out, or passive taming, you'll have to lower Estemmenosuchus' health, and afterwards guide it towards a Corrupted Creature, to help Estemmenosuchus killing them, afterwards a trust meter will begin to go up, after the first creature killed, Estemmenosuchus will not chase you, after the second creature killed, Estemmenosuchus will follow you slowly, after the third creature killed, Estemmenosuchus will follow you completely, after the fourth creature killed, you may ride Estemmenosuchus for additional protection, finally, the fifth creature marks the completion of the trust meter, and Estemmenosuchus will be yours, note that this excludes the "pseudo-corrupted creatures" like managarmr, velanosaurus, gasbags, gachas, etc. - Crazed Ego; if Estemmenosuchus begins getting damaged a lot by a corrupted creature, it's ego will be hurt, and it will become enraged and it's attacks would work similarly to the Tek Claws from Gen 1, it will slowly begin dealing more and more damage to the creature, this buff will apply to the pack as well. The Pros of tamed Estemmenosuchus - Corrupted and Boss Killing; Due to the buff that Estemmenosuchus recieves against Corrupted Creatures, it would be quite optimal to use these boys to go on runs for Corrupted Nodules, killing Titans with additional backup, and even Orbital Supply Drops, just be sure to have them well-leveled, otherwise it won't end up as good. - Psuedo-Tank; Estemmenosuchus will be beefy and will hit like a truck, it may tank a lot of hits and considering the Crazed Ego buff ontop of the Pack Buff, it makes it a very good tame for people who want to go out on crazy runs, or want to absolutely demolish a Titan with these dudes. - Kind of Trusty Companion; No matter the circumstance, be it torpor, be it low health, Estemmenosuchus will fight for you to defend you if you're dying, no matter what, it is willing to give it's life for yours, and it will ensure to do it if it has to. - No fears; it takes multiple roars from Yutyrannus to scare Estemmenosuchus away. - Versatility; Estemmenosuchus is incredibly versatile, wanna run through the wastelands? This guy will cross you through without hesitation, Wanna go to the Desert Dome? He's got you covered too, he'll keep you alive and will beat anything that DARES attack you, wanna go to the Snow Dome? He's got you covered, ain't NO managarmr attacking you, ain't NO yuty scaring bro, wanna go to the Crater Forest and build a base? You and your Estemmenosuchus will build a little house together. - EXTREMELY useful in PVE/PVP; Estemmenosuchus is WORTH taming by all means, it's combined abilities make it an extremely worth-it tame to obtain, it'd deal a lot of damage to creatures which are used a lot which could possibly be a game changer whilst in combat. The Cons of tamed Estemmenosuchus - Fatso; If you overwork your Estemmenosuchus by not properly feeding it, or making it overuse it's stamina, it will knock you off and just sit there until you properly feed it or it's stamina regenerates, note this doesn't apply if the survivor is about to die. - Tedious taming; Taming Estemmenosuchus will be EXTREMELY grinded, they can only spawn on selective zones of the wasteland and rarely, obviously not rarer than like, idk, a Corrupted max level Giga, but definetly rarely, it will be a very RNG-Based taming and spawn, as well as a max level Estemmenosuchus isn't always guaranteed - Reduced utility outside of extinction; Estemmenosuchus sounds OP in paper, but in a map outside of extinction it is practically just another high-damage dealing carnivore, this doesn't mean they'd be weak, quite the contrary actually, but Estemmenosuchus excells in Extinction and other maps that include corrupted creatures or the after-mentioned "pseudo-corrupted" creatures - Taming rates don't affect procedure; No matter your taming rates, be it times 100 taming speed it will ALWAYS take 5 victorious battles against corrupted creatures. - Overall PVE/Solo/Small Tribe challenge; Since taming Estemmenosuchus would be such a tedious and long process, a big tribe would be prefferable to find the corrupted dinos and keeping Estemmenosuchus in one place, not to mention guiding the preffered specimen away from the pack. - Pack requierments; Similarly to gachas, Estemmenosuchus will get sad if it doesn't have a pack. Saddle Estemmenosuchus' Saddle unlocks at Level 73, beggining with Late Game ARK; It will have the following requierments: 120 Metal Ingots/Scrapped Metal Ingots 180 Cementing paste 400 Hide 80 polymer/organic polymer/corrupted nodules 20 crystalized blue sap 15 crystalized red sap 60 sulfur The reasoning behind this is for Estemmenosuchus to be a tame that is worth it and at the same time not something you'll see everyone riding around with, making it expensive will make only the true survivors get the resources for this creatures saddle, the way the saddle works is that it'll give Estemmenosuchus a sort of helmet, which will exagerately extend protection from it's horns, therefore making it a sort of crest-like shield like that of Triceratops, the armor will also give the survivor protection from being flanked by enemy attackers, basically, it'd be worth it. Pack While Estemmenosuchus seems grindy, it is absolutely worth it to tame, and a pack of these? Is even MORE worth it. It is self explenatory, tame a pack of these, you get a buff, and if the leader of the pack roars, al the pack gets a buff. And that'd be IT (for now, at least) for ESTEMMENOSUCHUS! Art is coming VERY soon, so stay tuned, and as always ESTEMMENOFTW
  3. ART commissioned from RiskyBiscuits Let's be Real, ARK's Anky is not that good. Its only use is to collect metal and its not a good fighter. Le's change hat with Euoplocephalus, an Ankylosaur that is much bigger than Anky and is a strong as a Rex. With huge Dmg Reduction & Recoil you could get a hard hitting tanky Rex Tier Herbiovre for bosses!! Other abilities: Launch Spikes from its Body similar to Amarga, cover itself in Crystal Armor to increase Dmg reduction and recoil dmg making it perfect for turret soaking and just tanking large amounts of damage in general If you like the idea, give it an upvote!!
  4. Ark Maip Dossier and Render done by KasparHen Disclaimer: Hello everyone! I'm back again with the Maip macrothorax, Ark's Endgame Megaraptor! Common Name: Megaraptor/Maip Species: Maip macrothorax Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Maip macrothorax is a unique dinosaur from the mysterious megaraptoran clade of theropods. Known for their large, scythe like claws, these predators use them with deadly efficiency - capable of shredding through any target they set their gaze on. Due to this attribute, the Maip lives up to the name ‘shadow of death’. After spending some time studying this dinosaur, I have discovered that Maip see wyverns as their natural competitor. As such, I have often witnessed many skirmishes between the two species. Due to this rivalry, Maip has evolved to be able to leap astonishing distances without sustaining massive injury. This allows them to be able to raid the nests of wyverns and help wipe out the competition. Domesticated: Once tamed, Maip can serve as a unique debuffer. It’s able to cripple creatures using a special slash. This attack can be used on any creature but where it truly excels is when it’s used on aerial creatures. When the attack connects, it’ll instantly drain all of the target’s stamina and force it to land. At this point, the creature will be unable to regenerate any stamina for a short period of time and will take increased damage from attacks. I have witnessed tribes using Maip to more effectively combat wyverns. They do this by using the Maip’s superior agility to evade the wyvern’s breath attacks before proceeding to leap into the air and perform a slash so powerful it cripples the wyvern, forcing it to land. Legends have been told of one survivor that owns a Maip that is able to embue its claw attacks with the effect of a wyvern. They say this was done by giving the Maip a wyvern talon. Abilities: Primary Attack: A simple bite attack that deals a decent amount of damage upon pressing left click. Secondary Attack: Pressing or holding down right click will have the Maip rapidly swipe its claws. Looking in a certain direction will cause the Maip to swipe its claws while turning to face that direction. This would work like the Sarco’s bite where it can turn while attacking. X Key (Press or Hold): Crippling Slash – Upon pressing the X key, Maip will leap forward and perform a powerful slash attack with both of its hands. This attack will inflict a new, unique debuff called “Crippling Wound.” This ability will cost stamina and go on a cooldown for 5-10 seconds after successfully being used. This is Maip’s most powerful attack. By holding down the X key, you’ll be able to charge up this ability and aim it. This would allow for much greater leaping distance, whether it be horizontally or vertically. This would specifically be used for helping Maip to reach flyers. Crippling Wound – If used on a land or water creature, this debuff will decrease their movement speed, slowly drain their stamina, and cause them to take more damage from incoming attacks. If used on an aerial creature, this debuff will instantly drain the flyer’s stamina and force them to land. At this point, the flyer will be unable to regenerate any stamina for a short period of time and will take more damage from incoming attacks. The flyer would also have decreased movement speed. Spacebar: Maip has the ability to jump upon pressing spacebar. If you hold down spacebar, Maip is able to do a super jump akin to the Reaper or Shadowmane. Passive - Reduced Fall Damage - Maip takes little to no fall damage. It’s able to fall from great heights without sustaining much injury. Left-Ctrl: An aesthetic roar that looks and sounds cool. Artwork done by DILONG Taming Method: To tame a Maip, you must first head into the wyvern trench and collect wyvern talons. You will get wyvern talons by killing wyverns. Once you have wyvern talons and find a Maip you want to tame, you must equip the wyvern talon into your 0 slot. The Maip will sense that you have a wyvern talon equipped and immediately proceed to hit you with a crippling slash. You must be able to tank the hit and survive. Upon hitting you, the Maip takes your wyvern talon and plays an animation where it becomes super angry. You want to hop on the Maip while this animation is playing. At this point, you get taming progress on Maip by killing wyverns in the trench with it. The Maip will get the wyvern-related buffs while you’re riding on it. If you survive with it and kill enough wyverns, it will be tamed. Once tamed, and not equipped with a saddle, it'll have a timer before it knocks you off. This timer should give you enough time to get out of the wyvern trench. Credit goes to the user TanukiiTricks for this idea. I liked it so much that I decided to implement here into the main post. Wyvern Theme: After being around wyverns for some time, Maip has grown to hate them. In fact, it considers the wyverns as its natural enemy. Due to this, Maip has evolved to easily be able to raid the nest of wyverns and counter them. Utilizing its super jump, Maip is able to leap into the wyvern trenches and steal wyvern eggs. When in the presence of wild/enemy/allied wyverns, Maip gains a 15-20% damage output and resistance buff. Maip could also have the ability to use wyvern effects on its claw attacks. Let me explain how this would work. When you kill a wyvern, it drops a talon. Maip could have a special slot in its inventory that allows it to equip the wyvern talon. This would allow Maip to gain the effects of that wyvern. The effects of the wyvern talon would be applied to the Maip’s basic claw attack and its crippling slash ability. Fire Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with fire. Imbued with fire, the Maip would give targets the Enflamed debuff or a lesser version of the debuff that doesn’t burn away as much health. Its claws and horns would be red to visually indicate to players it has a fire talon equipped. Lightning Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with electricity. Imbued with electricity, the Maip gains increased attack speed and the ability to stun its target. The stun would be akin to the Baryonyx. After the stun wears off, the target would have stun immunity for x amount of time before being able to be stunned again. Its claws and horns would be blue to visually indicate to players that it has a lightning talon equipped. Poison Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with a corrosive acid. Imbued with this corrosive acid, the Maip’s attacks would cause the target’s torpidity to increase along with degrading armor. Its claws and horns would be green to visually indicate to players it has a poison talon equipped. Ice Wyvern Talon: Maip's claws are imbued with ice. Imbued with ice, the Maip's attacks would cause the target to start to slow down. After a certain amount of hits, the target would be frozen solid for x amount of time. If this idea was implemented, it could be expanded upon to include the other wyverns. Unique talon drops would have to be made for those wyverns. 5. Hello survivors! Seeing as we don't have any more ankylosaurids other than the anky which is only used for gathering, I thought that it would be a good idea to bring something interesting to the table. Basic Info Group: Ankylosaur Diet: Herbivore with a sweet tooth for Sap or honey. Temperament: Neutral Equipment Talarurus Hammock saddle Dossier “Wild: I have mixed feelings about these guys, from a glance; they seem like pigs, rolling in the mud and seemingly enjoying themselves, but when they are threatened that's when they show their true strengths, you would think an ankylosaurid like this would be slow and have trouble with large predators but you'd be mistaken; I've seen bull Talarurus run down and fend off rexes so much so that even a starving rex knows not to mess with a fully grown bull Talarurus unless he wants a broken ankle, but when there are no threats, they take the time to relax in the mud, and dig at the sand. Domesticated While the Talarurus may seem docile at a glance, they are always watching their surroundings and are cautious to those that approach them, tame one is considered to be pampering them; they will not indicate interest in you unless you have in your hand Sap: a treat they love as I've seen them go as far as to knock down trees just to get a taste of the sap; once they are fed the sap, they will then flip over on there back demanding a belly rub, once they are given the belly rub they will then demand that you care for their young and simply take care for them as if they are pigs: it seems well worth it as these things are built for this place as they are resistant to the effects of sand storms and will happily defens owner and allies. Behavior The Talarurus is not an aggressive dinosaur but when attacked will defend itself by using a club of a tail, stomping on you, or side-tackling you. Drops Hide Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Taming To tame a Talarurus; one must first, feed it sap to begin the process, then it'll roll over on its side and demand a belly rub; then it'll demand clay to be applied on its meaty parts (legs, head, and belly) to cool it off, it will then demand you feed it's herd berries or vegetables (to get better effectiveness, give them sap) then it'll demand one final thing, a battle: bring it to any carnivore and help it kill the foe, if the Talarurus does not get help, receives too much dmg, or gets abandoned altogether, then it's taming effectiveness goes down. Utility Abilities Hydrated buff: can get a boost when touching water but it's a horrible swimmer. Bite: (Left click, RT, and R2) A simply bite that can gather berries. Stomp: (Right Click, LT, and L2) A kick stomp similar to that of a morellatops; can stun players off small to medium-sized mounts for 3 seconds. Roll: (C, R1) Similar to the roll rat, the Talarurus can roll but requires momentum to do so. Side-Tackle: (C, R1) must be in rolling to use it; a devastating attack that when it collides, knocks back and applies a bleeding debuff. Pros: high movement, resistance to sandstorm, solid damage, bleed, resistance to fire (due to it bathing in mud), resistance to bleed, and an oil gatherer Cons: cannot do anything to a fliers, water, slows, explosives, flash bangs, creatures that can tank it, and knockback. Can Harvest Cactus sap Sap Berries Oil
  6. -Dossier Mamenchisaurus -Species: Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum -Time: Late Jurassic -Diet: Herbivore -Temperament: Passive... not quite -Wild: Mamenchisaurus is recognizable by its size almost as large as a brontosaurus and an elongated neck, it is passive as long as it is not provoked, although it has attacked survivor-domesticated dinosaurs, mostly large carnivores, which many survivors prefer to avoid. It is not as massive as the rarer to see Titanosaurs, and is a creature that has gained fame among various tribes. -Domesticated: Mamenchisaurus is a big beast that you can put a platform on and build whatever you want there, like brontosaurus or titanosaur, it can be a walking building, putting any structure on top of it, it can destroy even metal bases. -Abilities and attacks: Kick (Primary attack) Tail swipes (Secondary attack) Neck blow (Use time of 15 seconds, it doesn't deal as much damage, but it can knock back almost anything and can dismount you from flyers.) Stomp (Use time of 30 seconds, stronger against Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus and Titanosaur and can do a bit more damage to rock elementals.) "Primary attacks are closer in damage to brontos, and strong attacks are a bit more powerful than rex, but as I said before, it does more damage against gigas carchas and titanosaurs can break metal structures (No Tek to make it too OP)" -Taming: Basically is the "Titanosaur + Equus + Andrewsarchus taming method" It's taming method is by throwing cannonballs at it's head and putting a saddle on it (Like the Titanosaur), but after putting the saddle on it the Mamenchisaurus will wake up annoyed with you on top making sudden movements (That's where you have to press the right (A) or left ( D) like the Andrewsarchus) and you have to relax it with food (With a method similar to that of the Equus), every time we feed it it will calm down making less sudden movements, after a dangerous experience you will have a loyal giant by your side. -Taming Food: Extraordinary Kibble>Crops>Mejoberries>Amarberries Azulberries and Tintoberries. -You can put a platform saddle on it. Wild: Mamenchisaurus is a neutral creature like most herbivores, although it will be aggressive towards some of your tamed creatures (Allosaurus, Basilisk, Carcharodontosaurus, Crystal Wyvern, Dinopithecus, Giganotosaurus, Karkinos, Magmasaur, Megatherium, Reaper, Rex, Rock Drake, Rock Elemental, Shadowmane, Spino, Therizinosaur, Wyvern, Yutyrannus)
  7. Wild: siats is an apex predator of the deserts lowlands and dunes, this feathered dinosaur functions as a lowland version of the yutyrannus, often being seen hunting alone, the siats’s roar seems to allow it’s attacks to pierce their opponents hide easier aswell it seems to weaken the attacks of the chosen prey, as well a hatered towards tyrannosauriads has been observed meaning it will challenge and attack a rex or yutyrannus even if it means it will be killed Domesticated: siats is a powerful ally once tamed its roar giving an extra buff to carnosaurs such as allo, and even a rivalry buff to tyrannosauriads, it’s greater stamina can make it a great mount for long hauls and allow siats to fight for longer So it’s shares its stats with the rex and yuty but it’s Stam base is great but a third and levels better then both Attacks, moves, and roar debuff/buff So siats main attack is a bite, it’s secondary a ripping charged snap that does a weight based percentage, it’s c is a claw swipe, and x is a knock back causing tail swipe, it has three different roars a buff a debuff and a cosmetic roar, ok so how the roar works is a damage buff to allies and reduce the enemies damage, the roar also increases Allie’s resistance to damage and lowers the enemies resistance to damage, but beware the roar can effect wild animals as well, carnosaurs and tyrannosauriads in the wild will be effected and can set you back a few creatures in a matter of moments. As well it can go into boss fights and stacks with the yutyrannus roar effect. (Image is not mine so all credit to the original artist)
  8. Name - Utahraptor ostrommaysorum Time Period - Early Cretaceous Spawn Map - Scorched Earth Classification - Dromaeosauridae Size - It reached 20 feet in length Tamable - Yes Breedable - Yes Description - Utahraptor would have been an extraordinary killing machine. Utahraptor is one of the geologically oldest and largest known feathered dromaeosaurids from the Desert. This group of carnivorous dinosaurs had a large retractable sickle claw on its foot, specialized for cutting. With a name meaning “Utah’s predator,” Utahraptor was a ferocious hunter that used its sickle-shaped claws to attack and rip apart its prey. The claw itself was 9.5 inches (24 cm) long.
  9. Common name: Hatzegopteryx Species: Hatzegopteryx Thambema Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: opportunistic Wild: In the raging deserts that it inhabits Hatzegopteryx has to commonly compete with wyverns and argentavis for food. Which is likely why it has a habit on snacking on survivors and other small creatures. They actively seek out weak surviors and will quickly stab them with their dagger beak. They know not to attack heavily geared survivors or tribes but will not hesitate taking an easy meal. Hatzegopteryx are extremely fast and have large dagger beaks which they use in fights against wyverns. They like to scavenge but will often take smaller animals and wyvern eggs. though Hatzegopteryx prefer to avoid larger animals I have seen them kill rexes in fights over carcasses. You will probably find one patrolling the skies in search of survivors and small creatures. When they find something they can eat they will quickly descend. Domesticated: when tamed Hatzegopteryx are one of the quickest ways to fly across the map, though their turning isn’t great. They are extremely competent on land and many survivors use them to steal wyvern eggs. Unlike Quetzalcoatlus, Hatzegopteryx are not strong enough to hold a platform saddle on their back but they can carry two survivors at once. They are very powerful animals and are often used in battle. They are especially difficult to tame though as they are only loyal to those who feed them their favourite food, wyvern eggs. Abilities: they have similar stats to Quetzalcoatlus but are faster and have a quicker and more powerful bite but less weight. They can attack using either a bite or if on the land they can stomp but in the air can impale enemies with their beak. They can also dive but not as well as the griffin. Their saddle is unlocked at Lv79.
  10. Titanoceratops (Titanic horn face) This behemoth of a Ceratopsian lived in what is now New Mexico and fits right at home in any environment including Scorched Earth. I Discovered these creatures in my adventures on both the Island and here is this desolate desert, similar to the Morellatops and the Brontosaurus on the Island they have adapted to living in groups of 2-3 guarding their nests and periodically hunting and killing carnivores that dare venture close. Appearance: This behemoth of a ceratopsian stands a staggering 14 meters in height, 21 meters counting its huge frill. This creature from afar I would say almost matches the size of a giganotosaurus, though It's hard to tell when they are fighting and the giga is impaled to the ground. It sports 2 very large horns that it utilizes for both offense and defense as the female holds its nest on its horns when danger is nearby. The Males Frill is more decorative along the face, while it sports a row of spikes lining the edge of said frill. The female sports a similar frill, though it's noticeably dipped at the center, allowing for nests to fit easier I'd presume. Wild: In the wild it is very hostile compared to most herbivores I have met, yet they seem to only target carnivores and humans. Likely due to their nests. From what I have noticed the Female spends the day always near the nest, and even sometimes lifting it upon its large two front horns. It slowly lumbers around when carnivores are nearby and keeps the nest away, while the Male charges savagely at any carnivores in sight, impaling them to cliff faces, and I have even seen it impale a giganotosaurus to the ground though only briefly the giga eventually overpowered it, but the female took care of the leftovers and that giga was no more. I myself will simply observe from afar, though I would love to have some of the cactus they just completely uprooted. Domestication: This creature I thought would be slow, and therefore easy to tranquilize and domesticate, however after seeing it impale a survivor on just one horn and throw them from a cliff, I'd be much more careful. Being a ceratopcian its head is very durable and as survivors tossed dart after dart into it, it just kept coming. Id assume the best route of domestication is to fire at its body, as the head seems to not even notice the hits. Though some cunning survivors have done the unthinkable and stolen eggs. I'd assume the only way for this was to drop a convincing egg in its nest and steal it or knock out the slower female while she holds the nest, but I can't be sure. If you are to tame this I suppose bring some large fertile eggs or don't get impaled to a tree or cactus while firing at its body. Baby: They can only be raised from a baby if picked up by a support creature (Maewing, Procroptodon, Titanoceratops Mother, etc) Tamed: When you have finally claimed a Titanoceratops as your own, it has its many uses. In combat it's very large horns are the best thing for combatting creatures, though the spikes on males also act as a dual use Unstoppable battering ram, by charging forward for long periods it tends to slow down as a female when hitting objects, though a male is protected from these objects as its horns break trees and the spikes simple deflect them from flying back towards the body, I have even seen them used to break down entire building after charging for long enough, and proceed to keep running afterwards. Females however are more tame though still incredibly useful, Using the indented frill some cheeky survivor's attached a cannon to the top and knocked out a Rock Golem to be the battering ram for them, They simply stood behind the cannon protected while the golem failed to break the Titanoceratops's unbreakable guard. As I previously stated we can't forget about the food and defense, using those massive horns They seem to be capable of shoving anything away, or impaling things completely as they slowly bleed on its horns. Or as a more tasty aspect of those horns they Simply dig into the ground to completely uproot large cacti and trees allowing for easy water access and even easier food from tree leaves. Abilities: having very large frills allow to take very reduced frontal damage, and take zero torpor from the front. Horn attack: simple horn bash dealing very large amounts of knock back and great damage. Horn charged attack, It can bash its horns into any creature and impale them, this is enough to lift creatures up to a Carno off the ground let them bleed out on the horn. Or pin larger creatures either to the ground of to a wall making them immobile, and leaving the Titanoceratops to stand guard. This can be used to make a threatening giga stationary while another Titanoceratops charges its back side, though larger creatures can still attack while impaled, just slower and for reduced damage. Unbreakable stance: Using its massive body weight it stops moving and makes itself stationary, this allows for nothing to push it back unless it takes a significant hit to the front, or sides. Uproot: using its large horn it digs under trees and cacti lifting the entire plant out of the ground harvesting only thatch and sap and allowing water to freely flow from the cacti. Stationary Turn: Using its massive horns it can using the environment to spin on a dime allowing for increase maneuverability. Male: Unstoppable charge: using the spikes on its frill to shred fiber, trees and cacti, it chargers forward never stopping unless hitting a large enough creature that cannot be moved, or hitting an immovable object. Similar to a roll rat, this creature can charge at structures and damage, them, unlike a roll rat it will completely charge through a stone structure, and very quickly damage a metal structure though it needs to gain speed similar to a rhino charge. Tek can only be damaged by a full charge, and it will take multiple to break through after turning around and coming back. Female: Indented Position: using its indented frill you can attach a cannon onto the saddle that will not take damage from the front, only from the back or sides. Additionally this acts as both a second protected seat, and a place to store water if the frill is submerged or cacti is harvested to provide easy access to travel the desert. Similar to a Morellatops you can gather water from this spot, but only if you harvest cacti. Saddles: Male Saddle: Rider, and saddle bags allowing the player to store water in small pouches on the sides. Female Saddle: Rider, Frill Passenger. Empty Slot allowing a cannon, ballista, or catapult to be placed and used by the passenger or rider if in Unbreakable Stance. Nest Saddle: Rider Saddle and Nest Upon Horns: Disables sprinting when eggs are inside nest, acts as incubator for its young and the young of other dinos feeding off food added to its inventory. Idea: Seeing this creature initially in the first creature vote top 10, I had my own thoughts On what it could be, while the game already has a giga and a carcharo that do high damage and rule endgame, even in boss fights there is no real endgame big herbivore, and while I want an all powerful herbivore, as I mentioned above it would take 2 of these to kill a giga or carcharo, 1 to pin it down, the other to attack it. In terms of functionality it would still be a 3rd giga, as it would be better than a rex, but the Idea I had is it wouldn't be a giga in damage, but It combat ability, It would be more tanky, and sort of outlast its foes while they take its own type of bleed damage while impaled on its spike, making it useful for anything short of a boss that it cannot impale. Gigas in the wild would still outlast it however cause they do so much damage. 1st ARTWORK by Redbubble 2nd ARTWORK by DILONG
  11. Ark Maip Dossier and Render done by KasparHen Disclaimer Hello everyone! I'm back again with the Maip macrothorax, Ark's Endgame Megaraptor. After looking at some suggestions and comments, I tried to give it some things that would make it stand out more from the rest of Ark's carnivorous dinosaurs. I have changed its abilities, updated its dossier, gave it a unique taming method, and gave it new mechanics that help it fit in line with Scorched Earth. I now present to you all the revised version of Maip! If this idea was implemented, it could be expanded upon to include the other wyverns. Unique talon drops would have to be made for those wyverns. Roles Debuffer: With the ability to gain special properties when equipping wyvern talons, Maip has the potential to inflict multiple debuffs on opponents. It's also able to inflict a unique debuff, Crippling Wound. These debuffs can be used to a survivor's advantage by helping to weaken the enemy. Nest Raider: Due to its high maneuverability, reduced fall damage, and astonishing jump height, Maip is perfect for helping survivors to raid the nests of wyverns. It can assist them in more easily being able to obtain wyvern eggs. Anti-Flyer: Maip is able to forcefully land any flyer by using its Crippling Slash ability. This allows Maip to swiftly dispatch any pesky flyers. Wyvern Fighter: Able to effectively fend off and fight wyverns. Due to getting a 15-20% damage output and resistance buff when in the presence of wyverns, Maip is perfect for taking them down. Manticore Fighter: Since wyverns can be brought into the Manticore boss fight, Maip can be paired up with them to allow the dinosaur to gain its 15-20% damage output and resistance buff. This can help survivors defeat the Manticore as Maip will be dishing out more damage to the boss while also taking less damage from it. Guardian: Can be used to guard bases or slow moving transport tames. Its variety of attacks allow Maip to hold its own against most creatures. Travel: A relatively quick and agile dinosaur, Maip is able to help survivors explore the vast wastelands of Scorched Earth. The dinosaur is able to protect their rider against the many threats that can be found out in the desert. Artwork done by DILONG Taming To tame a Maip, you must first head into the wyvern trench and collect wyvern talons. Credit goes to TanukiiTricks in the comments for this idea. I liked it so much that I decided to implement it here into the main post. Ark Fear Evolved Now you’re all probably wondering why there is a section involving Ark’s Halloween event here. Simple answer, the Dodowyvern. Since the Dodowyvern is something that spawns only on Scorched Earth and only comes around once a year, I thought it would be a fun little idea to add on a way Maip can benefit from it. What better way to fight the Dodowyvern than with a dinosaur that is built for countering wyverns. The crippling slash ability probably wouldn't be as effective on the Dodowyvern though, since it's a boss creature. I would probably make it to where hitting the Dodowyvern with the crippling slash ability would just grant the same effects as hitting a land creature with it. So, you wouldn't be able to instantly drain all of its stamina and force it to land. Upon defeating the Dodowyvern, it will drop the Dodowyvern Mask Skin. It would be preferable if the Dodowyvern just dropped its own special trophy or something but it currently doesn’t have one. Anyways, you can offer Maip the Dodowyvern Mask Skin (or trophy if that gets made) to have it become the ultimate frenzy machine for a couple of minutes. Maip will play a special “powering up” animation of sorts when you give it the trophy of the Dodowyvern. Fury of the Dodowyvern: Upon offering Maip the trophy of the Dodowyvern, it will gain this buff. This buff allows the Maip’s claws to randomly swap between the effects of the fire wyvern, lightning wyvern, and poison wyvern after every use of a claw attack (this includes crippling slash). Along with this, the Maip will gain the 15-20% damage output and resistance buff regardless of if there’s any wyverns around or not. Maip and its rider will also be immune to the effects of wyvern breath attacks during the duration of the buff. The Maip's claws and horns would rapidly change between the colors of red, blue, and green to visually indicate to players it has this buff. The caveat to this is that it only lasts a few minutes. Feel free to run wild and make everyone flee in terror before this buff runs out! Additional Information on the Real-life animal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maip
