  1. Welcome to my reworked creature submission. (Original submission will be removed based on rule issues.) Note: This is mainly a place holder to guage the interest of the submission, with artwork and additional info being added depending on engagement. Babibasiliscus are the ancestors of today's Jesus Christ lizard thats adorned with it's large iconic headcrest. A creature that prefers life near sources of water where it can pick up smaller creatures and vegetation to eat in the safety of its own domain but at the first sign of danger, will rapidly run across bodies of water where predators will have a hard time chasing them down. Habitat: Wild Babibasiliscus are omnivorous and prefer quiet bodies of water with plenty of fish, small creatures and or vegetation and can be seen frequently going back and forth, collecting it's meal to eat in peace or feed it's mate. Taming: A tame which has different methods for both sexes. Males - You would first have to sneak up and find out it's craving food, once fed and the lizards trust has been gained it will follow you around and require you to kill and leave carcasses for it to eat, any large creatures, damage, or lack of things to eat will scare the creature away and lower taming affectiveness. Females - Generally found nesting and looking for mates, and are always looking for the flashiest of creatures to pair up with. As such, a collection of dyes will be needed to tame them. On a slow approach to a female they will raise their head to guage the survivors intentions and ask for a colour, on knowing the colour, you need to quickly paint a piece of your armor to that colour to appease her, extra taming affinity is determined by tech progression of your equipped gear (Cloth lowest, Tek highest. I.e. the Shinier the better!) Using the wrong colour, applying too late or being scared off will lower taming affinity. Tamed: The lizard is comfortable living in all biomes and has very little offensive capabilities but more than makes up for it with its speed and agility to get out of bad situations or in a pinch it relies on the player to pick off enemies from its back with a stabilized roller saddle that allows the player to look and attack from every angle whilst mounted. Abilities: (Although none are guaranteed it will make it to game.) Bi/Quadrupedal - Quad for brisk land cruising Bi for running from danger Radiation immune - Being found in the three main areas of Aberration the lizard has become adapted to the harsh conditions of the red zone without fear of radiation damage. (Can still be damaged being submerged in liquid element.) Water runner/swimmer - The lizards iconic feature, being able to run bipedal over water and liquid element at high speed, gaining a buff like spinos from water sources which can also be taken to land. It is also a decent swimmer thanks to its large paddle tail. Item collector - With its natural instinct of grabbing and relocating it's food to safer areas, the lizard is able to pick up single static items such as eggs, dead bodies, bags, dropped items, artifacts (Able to hold a second artifact.) and loot drops to different locations so a survivor can collect said items in much safer areas. Tic tac - An ability that allows the lizard to jump from one surface to another in order to reach places it normally couldn't. (I originally wanted a climbing creature but didn't want to overshadow the Rockdrakes so a parkour style wall to wall jump is what I ultimately decided on.) I hope you like the ideas in my submission although I understand that my vision for the creature may not be for everybody. I'm always open to critique and constructive criticism, so if you see something that you think would work better or better fitting, then please let me know in the comments. (Artwork will follow if this submission picks up enough interest.)
  2. Welcome to my first ever submission and post! Note: This is mainly a place holder to guage the interest of the submission, with artwork and additional info being added depending on engagement. The Jesus Christ lizard, a very iconic reptile thats adorned with a large headcrest and fin-like sail across its back. A creature that prefers life near sources of water where it can pick up smaller creatures and vegetation to eat in the safety of its own domain but at the first sign of danger, will rapidly run across bodies of water where predators will have a hard time chasing them down. Abilities: (Although none are guaranteed it will make it to game.) Bi/Quadrupedal - Quad for brisk land cruising Bi for running from danger Radiation immune - Able to traverse the radiation zones without fear of hazard damage. (Can still be damaged by liquid element.) Water runner - The lizards iconic feature, being able to run bipedal over water and liquid element at high speed, gaining a buff like spinos from water sources which can also be taken to land. Item collector - With its natural instinct of grabbing and relocating it's food to safer areas, the lizard is able to pick up single static items such as eggs, dead bodies, bags, pearls, artifacts (Able to hold a second artifact.) and loot drops to different locations so a survivor can collect said items in much safer areas. Tic tac - An ability that allows the lizard to jump from one surface to another in order to reach places it normally couldn't but not climb. (I originally wanted a climbing creature but didn't want to overshadow the Rockdrakes so a parkour style double jump is what I ultimately decided on.) 3. Introducing the giant aye-aye, Daubentonia! Aberration is where horrors of the night thrive: the aye-aye is a nocturnal lemur who, in folklore, could mark people for death by pointing at them! In-game it would be a rideable climbing creature that is reactive to charge light, and who attacks by stunning/hypnotizing players and dinos at range. If you like my idea, please give it a vote! Feedback and suggestions would be great! I hope you like it! Here’s some reasons why I think it would be a great addition- o Nocturnal creatures are a great fit in Aberration- and an opportunity for jump-scares, including making the player hallucinate. It would be extra-powerful at night and on Aberration, but unlike the Megalosaurus, would not be useless once the sun comes up. o Climbing and using ziplines- a more support/utility alternative to rock drakes and ravagers. Great for building, taming and stealing rock drake eggs! Aberration, especially on single player, really needs a smaller creature that can climb and help with building taller structures. o Easy-to-aim ranged stun/ torpor attack by pointing/ glaring at enemies. Only applies torpor at night or on Aberration but can still stun during the day. When used at night on players, will cause them to hallucinate visions of predators (as well as stun/ torpor). o Enemy detection by echolocation, including being able to spot hidden rock drakes, basilisks and purlovias. o Turret mode that uses both enemy detection and ranged stun, even when latched to walls and ziplines. o Reactive to charge lights- A reason to turn off glow pets in the blue zone, and to go high up in its tree roots (where there’s currently not much to do). Can be passively tamed when charge lights are off, but be ready to fend off the Nameless! o Most predators will not attack it unless provoked, and aye-ayes are immune to red-zone radiation, perfect for a first tame to explore the red zone and rock drake trench with. o Auto-harvesting sap and giant bee honey when latched to trees or next to wild beehives. o Auto-feeding its rider with giant bee honey, which takes longer to spoil in its inventory. (Credit to Metatrox for the dossier template provided on the forum) Background The giant aye-aye (Daubentonia robusta) lived until around 1,000 years ago in Madagascar. Under the cover of darkness, it would search for fruit, sap and insects. It would find insects by tapping tree trunks and detecting the vibrations off the bugs, almost like echolocation. The latin name for the Ark’s aye-aye could be Daubentonia torvexspiravit (meaning ‘glaring ghost aye-aye’). Its modern counterpart, the aye-aye, is now endangered (but was itself once thought to be extinct, just like the coelacanth). It is the target of Malagasy superstition; it is believed that those pointed at by an aye-aye have been marked for death. Their ears and long fingers have evolved a similar sense to echolocation. This, coupled with its creepy appearance and large, nocturnal eyes, are a fantastic inspiration for Ark’s own version of this evolutionary experiment. It’s believed D. robusta looked like a larger version of the modern aye-aye but there is not enough fossil evidence to confirm this. D. torvexspiravit will be even bigger, much larger than the player and able to be ridden. While the local folklore surrounding aye-ayes does make for an interesting addition to the game, it is in real life a cause for wild aye-ayes to be hunted. Aye-ayes are endangered (and at one time themselves were believed to be extinct). Adding this to Ark would help raise awareness about modern aye-ayes and their persecution. Dossier Wild While the Arks are patrolled during the daylight by towering reptiles and fierce predators, Daubentonia has made a life for itself under the cover of darkness. Wild aye-ayes shy away from all light sources, including charge light. While you’re unlikely to see an aye-aye, you may hear them tapping trees to hunt insects with their freakishly long fingers. Aye-ayes prefer to hide away from combat, but when cornered can stun a would-be attacker with a hypnotic glare. Even the largest foes can be frozen for long enough to allow an aye-aye to escape! If you can approach an aye-aye in the dark without startling it then you may be able to tame it with its favourite food, honey. Domesticated While not the most appealing-looking creature on the Arks, aye-ayes make for intelligent and loyal pets. When ridden, they can climb up trees and along ziplines. They will even share their favourite food with a hungry rider! For the more sedentary tribes, they can latch onto trees or beehives and gather sap or honey. Daubentonia’s unique set of talents can provide valuable support to any tribe. During the night, their stunning glare can be used just as effectively on command as in the wild. I have seen a tribe keep aye-ayes inside their homes to detect and stun intruders. Their enhanced senses allow them to detect nearby aggressors, even in caves. Wild Behaviour Spawns high up in the trees of the bioluminescent zone- it’s such an amazing part of the map but there’s currently little reason to go there. It’s also fairly hard to get to, so the chance to tame an Aye-aye would make the journey worthwhile. An alternative is the redwoods of the Green Zone but this would be too easy to get to and doesn’t punish you for having charge lights off in the area. Unlike other aberrant creatures, aye-ayes should not be bioluminescent. They should be dark and hard to spot; their glowing eyes and sounds of tapping on branches the only signs they are near. This would make a surprise encounter, especially for the first time, even more thrilling. Other wild dinosaurs do not attack aye-ayes as they fear their mysterious abilities. Nameless and reapers do not attack wild aye-ayes however they will target tamed ones. Their temperament is defensive- if the player comes too close with charge lights on it will retaliate with a ranged stun attack. This stun attack can induce torpor even when a player is riding a dino. This however is not used to kill the player: only in self-defence and the aye-aye will retreat afterwards (to match the lore behind it looking much creepier than it really is). In the dark of the blue-zone this stun could be a creepy jump scare (including showing hallucinations of predators on the screen). With all lights, including charge light, turned off, a player can approach the aye-aye to tame it. Taming Passive tame- Approach them with charge light/pets/torches turned off. If the aye-aye is up a tree or a blue zone root it can be lured down with giant bee honey. Once on the ground it can be passively fed honey, sap, citronal, berries or chitin (in order of decreasing effectiveness). Just like many passive tames if it takes damage the taming progress will reset. Passive tames are usually quite easy, however the real challenge will be surviving long enough with charge lights turned off to complete the taming process. You’ll have to fight off the nameless and reapers without hitting the aye-aye and resetting your progress. Utility These are ideas and abilities I think would fit the Aye-aye and be a good fit for Ark, hopefully WC will follow this same idea. Ridden- The aye-aye would require a saddle to ride. The saddle should be craftable at around level 60, requiring hide, fiber, fungal wood and blue gems. The aye-aye is adept at climbing, able to climb like a thyla or dinopithecus. They can use ziplines, walking on top of the zipline like ravagers. It has a fairly fast sprint on land (similar speed to a Baryonyx) and good ability to jump. It would be immune or resistant to fall damage. Being a smaller climber on Abb would be super helpful for building as rock drakes are too big and clumsy for this and climbing picks have limited durability. Players can use weapons from the back of them, even when climbing or on ziplines. Even when ridden they can still detect enemies. When the player’s hunger is below 50% the aye-aye will automatically feed the player giant bee honey from its own inventory. Like the dinopithecus, most predators will not attack a tamed aye-aye unless provoked. The exceptions (on Aberration) to this are rock drakes, reapers, nameless, karkinos, spinos and direbears. Alongside an immunity to the red zone’s radiation, this makes aye-ayes a great first tame for exploring the red zone and artifact caves. Combat- Instead of relying on biting in combat (the bite should do around base 35 damage), the aye-aye has a ranged stun attack that can also apply torpor. The ranged attack’s animation should look like the aye-aye pointing, just like in Malagasy superstition. Night vision goggles could prevent this attack from affecting players or tames that can wear it. When ridden, a reticle would be on-screen to help aim the attack. This attack would require good aim and is therefore easier to use against large creatures than players. At night time (or always on Aberration) this ranged attack will hypnotise its target and apply significant torpor. Stun recharge is too long to stun-lock but each stun lasts long enough to out-manoeuvre enemies. Torpor is applied gradually, so will still stack despite the lower frequency stun. During the day the attack is still useful for stunning enemies before using tranqs. At night and on Abb extra tranqs won’t be needed for knocking out creatures! When the ranged attack is used on players it will cause hallucinations to appear on the screen; this will take the form of Aberrant predators (randomly chosen, could be raptors, ravagers, carnos or megalosaurus) running towards them, vanishing once they get too close. This can also be caused by wild aye-ayes. This effect makes more sense to only happen at night or on Aberration. This attack would be especially scary as the target would also be stunned! This ranged attacked would work in turret mode, alongside enemy detection. This makes aye-ayes a perfect base defence tame. Enemy detection- As modern aye-ayes can ‘echolocate’ by tapping their long fingers on trees, they should be able to detect nearby enemies in-game. The in-game animation would be the aye-aye tapping the ground and then listening. It can also detect invisible rock drakes and underground basilisks/purlovias, and is therefore useful as a more versatile alternative to parasaurs. Can be used when ridden or set to turret mode (turret mode can also auto-stun, auto-detect or both using the radial wheel). Can even work when latched to walls. When ridden, enemy detection is the ‘roar’ attack. Resource gathering and auto-feeding- When dismounted while climbing, it stays latched onto any surface. If latched onto redwood trees it will passively gather sap slowly. If near wild beehives or honey resource nodes it will passively gather giant bee honey (but more slowly than a tamed hive). Auto-gathering can be turned on or off using the radial wheel. Only gathers sap and honey, not berries. The bite attack will gather small amounts of berries or mushrooms if used near a bush. The amount gathered is very small, less than an iguanodon, to prevent the rider being encumbered after every fight. This bite can still harvest meat and hide, but less effectively than carnivores. It has a weight reduction of 50% for berries, honey and sap. Honey spoils more slowly in its inventory to make it better at auto-feeding and auto-gathering. When the rider’s hunger is below 50%, the aye-aye can automatically feed them some giant bee honey from its inventory. This ability can be toggled with the radial wheel, just like turret mode settings. Overall, functions similarly to a mid to late-game rock drake/ravager but also has its own unique uses. Being smaller than rock drakes, it can be used to climb structures and make base-building easier (it’s currently a pain on Abb). Its stun attacks, rock-drake detection and climbing abilities would make it great for helping steal rock drake eggs or caving. It can be used on Abb, or at night time, for taming (and in the day time you can fire tranqs off its back). It’s also different enough to the previous two to not fully outclass them- ravagers will still be better for pack-based combat and as a pack mule, and rock drakes would have better health and faster movement when gliding. As well as being a traveling and taming mount, aye-ayes could be useful in PVE and single player for gathering honey or sap in an alternative way, reducing the need for tree taps. In PVP it could have a niche use for stunning enemies or riders- it’s stunning abilities can be devastating when used right! They would also make a great turret tame and synergise well with other turrets by stunning targets. Wikipedia for Daubentonia robusta- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_aye-aye Wikipedia for the modern aye-aye- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aye-aye Thanks for reading! What are your thoughts on the aye-aye? What do you think its stats should be and do you have any additions that could improve this creature? I’ve tried hard to make a creature that would be a fun, useful and balanced addition to Aberration that fits the theme. I think all of the suggested abilities make sense for this creature but I’m happy to hear your opinions!
  4. WILD:Dinornis, known affectionately as Moa, is a giant flightless bird found predominantly around the Island's mountains and forests, grazing on low-lying flora found within these habitats.A Moa stands tall at about 3 meters at the hip. Their impressive size keeps them safe from the Island's smaller predators. For those brave enough to attempt to hunt one, they lash out with furious kicks and pecks. Their long, nimble legs push the Moa to reach impressive speeds when fleeing from large predators.DOMESTICATED:There are two fundamental reasons to tame a Moa. Their incredible speed for exploration and their greater survivability compared to similarly-sized mounts. The broody nature of the Moa allows them to excel at caring for and incubating a tribe's eggs. When presented with an egg, a tamed Moa will immediately sit on it. It does come with risks as an incubating Moa parent will ignore threats, making them vulnerable. The feathers of a Moa are hydrophobic and retain heat efficiently, allowing the riders of the Moa to keep warm even when traveling through the coldest regions.
  5. What is Gigantophis? Gigantophis is an extinct species of constrictor, living around 40 million years ago, it was the largest snake discovered until Titanoboa was found. Gigantophis was roughly around 35 feet long putting it near Whale Shark sized! Gigantophis were believed to of fed on the early relatives of elephants called Moeritherium. More Information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigantophis Gigantophis Dossier Wild: Gigantophis Comprimens unlike Titanoboa exornantur prefers to spend its days basking in the sunlight waiting for its next meal. This immensely large snake prefers to constrict its prey crushing every single bone in its body, once it has its coils wrapped around you, there is no way of escape, just death. This creature is regularly seen preying upon the likes of Paraceratherium, Stegosaurus and even Triceratops but it won't pass up the opportunity to grab a nearby survivor. Tamed: Whilst tamed Gigantophis is a viable asset, I have seen survivors using it as sort of upgraded chain bola which holds creatures in place but due to Gigantophis constrictor nature, it slowly crushes the creature. Personally I have been using mine as a sort of make-do tent protecting me from the elements, it is a terrifying thought but the babies are so cute with their little goofy smiles, you will get immediately attached to them. (Working on Dossier) Behaviour Due to Gigantophis being a predator, it is highly aggressive, and relentless. It will attack any survivor or tame which is within reach of its thick coils. They are mainly found in marshlands and open plains (when nesting). A nesting mother will not attack unless you are very close to it. Appearance Gigantophis looks like a modern day Anaconda but super sized, they tend to be solitary and ambush their prey with thick coils which disable prey, if the prey is larger than it, they bite it with their rows of needle teeth preventing the prey from moving. Taming Gigantophis is a passive tame and requires special precaution. It is advised to bring tames with high hp which you don't mind losing for example Moschops'. You must first find a mother Gigantophis coiled around its nest, the level of the mother represents the level of eggs inside the nest. Whistle your Moschops towards the mother, the mother will agro to the Moschops and start to coil then kill it, you must keep sending Moschops until the mother's taming effectiveness is at 100%. Once it is at 100%, the mother will spawn an egg and you must send one more Moschops to distract the mother from the egg. Gigantophis mother go up to level 225. Combat It is advised to use high ground against Gigantophis with a decent shotgun or use a large tame which deals a lot of damage, so you do not get constricted by Gigantophis. Attacks Primary: Is a bite attack which deals bleed damage similar to the Deinonychus. Secondary: Coil attack which coils around creatures and hold it in place, you must press the button again to start constricting, inhibiting their movement whilst giving a bone break effect after a while and slowly increases in damage as time passes. Tertiary: Latch attack, only for large creatures, you bite and latch onto the creature then press the coil button to start constricting the creature. You can also just use it to slow down your target. Abilities - PvP Soaker counter: Gigantophis can hold soaker in place preventing their movement so you can kill them more easily. Whilst constricting, if Gigantophis is damaged, it will let go and leave the tame with a bone break effect. Movement restrict: Gigantophis can latch on to large creatures like gigas and slow/prevent their movement allowing you to kill them easier. Unaffected by picking: Due to Gigantophis being so low to the ground and the position of the rider, you are immune to creatures like Desmodus picking you off your mount. Tank: Due to Gigantophis' girth, it has a large hp value and can take quite a lot of hits, this is especially useful against hard hitting tames. Abilities - PvE Make-do Shelter: Ever had that horrible feeling of not being able to get back to your base in time when servers are about to update, well Gigantophis acts as a shelter and bed, all you have to do is access its option wheel and choose the shelter option, whilst in this mode Gigantophis gains the apex buff meaning you will be mostly safe. Egg Collector: Gigantophis is a necessity for breeders who aren't at base, Gigantophis will collect your fertilized eggs while you're away and keep them safe until you need them. Boss Fighter: Due to Gigantophis hp stat and its decent damage, it is a viable candidate for any boss fight. Underwater Mount: When Gigantophis is in the water it gains a significant speed buff and it does not lose oxygen. Meatrunner: Gigantophis is a reliable meat runner being able to carry a lot of meat without getting encumbered! Tame Helper: Using Gigantophis coil attack, you can reliably hold most creatures down so you can tranq them out. Snake Bridge: Acts as a bridge between 2 rock faces, for easier traversal with other creatures.
  6. Name: Murrayglossus – The Prehistoric Echidna Species Name: Zaglossus Hacketti Time Period: Modern Day Diet: Chitin or Keratin Temperament: Passive (Arthropods are an exception) Introduction The Echidna is one of the most unique mammals on the planet. This marsupial makes its home across Australia and parts of New Guinea. Known as the spiny anteater due to its appearance, the Echidna is one of the only mammal's asides from the platypus to lay eggs. The ancestor of the Echidna which was discovered in 1909 was named Murrayglossus or Giant Echidna. It is not said where this creature existed, only that it was the size of the average dog. However, as Ark has a tendency of enlarging their creatures, the Murrayglossus would be about the size of a Trike. The uniqueness of this creature as well as its adaptations could be useful for survivors of Ragnarök. Wiki page of Echidna: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echidna Wiki page of Murrayglossus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murrayglossus Wild The Murrayglossus is an insectivore that lives in the redwoods on Ragnarök. You may not find more than two in an area since the Echidna are solitary by nature in real life. For the most part, they are passive creatures but when attacked by any creature that is not an arthropod, the Murrayglossus will go into defence mode by burrowing part way into the ground, deflecting their attackers with its spines which will damage them. This can also provide a defence buff to the Murrayglossus. When approached by a survivor, it will also into defence mode. If there are arthropods in the area, the Murrayglossus will not hesitate to attack until its dead (tamed or not). Taming Like Carchardontosaurus, the way to tame a Murrayglossus is to feed it the corpses of Arthropods; • Araneo • Arthropleura • Deathworm • Dung Beetle • Giant Bee • Jug Bug • Lymantria • Mantis • Meganeura • Pulmonoscorpius • Titanomyrma If the new Rhyniognatha is put on Ragnarök, that can be added to the list as well. However, only by wearing a full set of chitin armour can the survivor approach the Murrayglossus, and the taming process begin as the Murrayglossus will follow you around. The Arthropod killed must be killed by the player otherwise it won’t count toward the taming process. If the Murrayglossus takes damage whilst taming, it will lose taming effectiveness. If you remove a piece of chitin armour while the Murrayglossus is following you, the Murrayglossus shall take its defensive position and won’t be able to tame again until you either get out of render distance or wait for a cooldown. Gameplay Due to the spikiness of the Murrayglossus, this creature would not be ridable properly. However, it can be ordered around like other creatures and can be commanded to bury itself. This can be useful as a way of defending your bases and creatures’ survivors wish to tame. This ability would be toggleable. Defence Mechanism Like the Echidna, Hedgehogs are another spikey mammal with its own uniqueness. As a form of defence, it eats anything it can find and anoint itself with their saliva. What if Murrayglossus had a similar ability? What if you put certain items in their inventory and it can apply different effects upon itself while in defence mode? Give it Narcotics, and it could do torpor. Give it Feces, and it will apply a disease effect. Give it Sap, and it will provide protection against Rhyniognatha attacks. The list goes on. Wiki page of Hedgehog: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedgehog Video of Hedgehog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx4dONoJzzA Breeding As previously mentioned, Echidnas are one of the only Mammals asides from Platypus that can lay eggs. They store the egg in a pouch like a kangaroo and hatches after 10 days. This could be applied to the Murrayglossus. After mating, a Murrayglossus egg will appear in the creature’s inventory. Over time the egg will incubate and change its appearance showing the development process from egg to jelly baby to puggle. At a certain point of development, the baby would leave the inventory and can be claimed. Whilst growing, the Murrayglossus will start developing the spines. Video of Echidna hatching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHocViqKbbc Egg Collector From what I’ve seen of other creature submissions, people want a dino that can collect eggs. The Murrayglossus would be one of these creatures. It makes sense given the nature of an Echidna but whether it would incubate the eggs would be a different story seeing as the pouch incubates its egg at 32 degrees Celsius. Some eggs, not all. The Murrayglossus, like the Maewing’s nursing, would have a radius around itself showing the affected area in which the Murrayglossus can pick up eggs. This ability would be togglable. I believe this would be one of the useful creature on the Arks. If not for it's defence but for its breeding capabilities. Let me need what you think. Any ideas?
  7. What is Keresdrakon? Keresdrakon is a species of Azhdarchid, it was around the size of a Quetzal, would've been most likely an opportunistic carnivore. It lived during the Cretaceous period with what is now known as Brazil. Why should vote for Keresdrakon in Scorched Earth? Keresdrakon would be a great addition to Scorched, being a new large flyer which can act as a tent during sandstorms and heatwaves, Male Keresdrakon will be the fighters of the species providing a unique flyer experience, whilst the females of the species care for babies whilst also producing a less optimal Wyvern milk for Wyvern babies. More will be explained on the male and female Keresdrakon further into the post. Keresdrakon Dossier Wild: The scorching sands looming hunter, Keresdrakon, as large as the Islands native species Quetzalcoatlus. Unlike the Quetzal, Keresdrakon prizes itself in its adept aerial prowess, while you may be fooled to think its a slow hunter, I’ve seen this creature fight Wyverns and overtake them in aerial combat. Tamed: Keresdrakon is a valuable tame for any tribe on the scorching sands. When there’s a sandstorm or heatwave, Keresdrakon will provide shelter for you and your tribe mates. Most tribes I’ve seen use Keresdrakon to fight Alpha Wyverns to get the milk from within it. Behaviour Whilst not at a nest you can see wild Keresdrakon looming high in the skies, unlike the Quetzal, they are aggressive and will attack if you get too close. When at a nest, you can find pairs of Keresdrakon which normally won't attack unless provoked. Taming To tame Keresdrakon, you must climb to the peaks of Scorched Earth, there you will find pairs trying to finish their nests. At first you will notice its an ordinary nest with nothing special, but that's where you come in, you have to help make the nest, you will need Wyvern talons and Rex arms, as well as plenty of wood. You are first prompted with the female asking for wood, depending on the level of the female depends on the amount of wood. After you have given the female wood, you must give the male your trophies as he will recognise you as a capable hunter, much like itself. After those few things are done, the female will promptly lay an egg, and you can pick up the egg. Combat To fight a Keresdrakon, it is advised to chain bola them due to their lack of ground movement then use a high damaging tame or weapon and start hurting it. Attacks Primary: Beak attack, you can rapidly press it for DPS or hold it down to perform an alternate attack which skewers smaller dinos, instantly killing them, or causes large damage and bleed to anything over a certain carry weight. Secondary: Barrel Roll which causes large damage and knockback. Tertiary: While grounded, this attack will make Keresdrakon slap with its wing causing heavy knockback and a brief stun. While airborne this attack will just be a grab to move players or tames under a certain carry weight. Male and Female Mechanics Male: The male unlike the female is more damaging, with a unique rage mechanic where when you take lots of damage the Keresdrakon will enter a rage mode which does not dismount you but it increases the males damage output as well as its speed, turning it into a power house of a flyer. Female: The female is there to care for your babies, imprinting on them for you whilst you're out of base (this does not work if you are offline), she also likes to collect other species eggs as if they were here own, she organises them into a nice neat pile, if you give the female a Wyvern talon, she produces milk for that species of Wyvern, so fire talon means Fire Milk. Roles Boss Fighter: Due to Keresdrakon's power, using a few for the Manticore fight should make it easier. Taming Mount: Due to the 2 seater saddle, you can have a tribemate shoot from the back to knockout other creatures. Fertilised Egg Collector: Stated above, the female collects eggs. Milk Provider: Stated above, the female produces milk based on what Talon you give it. Travel Mount: Due to its stamina pool and speed, Keresdrakon makes for an excellent travel mount. Boss Tribute Farmer: Due to the males power, hunting down Wyverns and other apex's should be fairly easy. Wyvern Egg Stealer: Being able to out manoeuvre and kill Wyverns, Keresdrakon makes for the ultimate nest raider. Dogfighter: Due to the speed and strength behind Keresdrakon, you can easily fight off multiple Wyverns without much worry. Boss Saddle: The saddle provides a unique take which shows what you need for each boss fight without needing to head to a terminal to constantly check. Mobile Shelter: When there is a Sandstorm or Heatwave, you can land and use make shelter option which make Keresdrakon, cover you with its wings, this provides the shelter buff.
