  1. IMPORTANT: The current roadmap for Maevia is being discontinued. Due to outside circumstances that have suddenly transpired, Extinction will be the Maevia's last submission within these creature votes for ASA. To all of the loyal Maevia fans that have been behind Sovi and now myself, your support has meant the world to both of us! Thanks again for rallying behind this awesome creature we've all come to love over these last several votes! [Idea/suggestion by Shadlos, but we agree entirely with the concept.] (Below is a way for the different turrets to have their own clear strengths and weaknesses.) [Smaller/Lighter tier turrets] Highest rate of fire that also allows you to keep all movement abilities with no restrictions. However, all damage inflicted by these turrets are reduced by a certain % to compensate for the higher rate of fire while maintaining full movement capability. [Larger/Heavier tier turrets] Highest damage output of all turrets available. Something of a slower, moveable siege attacker with this tier of turret attached. The drawback to this is at the expense of drastically slowing your movement speed, disabling your ability to climb, jump, etc, and a severely reduced rate of fire. 🕯️Dossier!🕯️ "If there's one thing I can say about Maevia eureka, you do not want to be caught in its sights! I once witnessed a jumper locking onto its prey with the most incredible accuracy, lunging at it with lightning speed and within the blink of an eye, its prey was being saved as a snack for later. They seem to have the genes of a few other spiders like that of the ogre spider, as it can cast a gathering of its webbing along with a little dab of the venom droplet it keeps stored on its head, working that into its web to create paralytic bolas that seem to render its prey unconscious. I have reason to believe the hairs that grow on its back legs came from the peacock spider, but due to its need for protection, it also uses these 'feathers' as a menacing face that can scare off large predators, I've seen some tribes set up posts that they can hang from around the fronts of their bases. I will say one thing is for certain. Though they are nearly the size of a dire bear, they are quite the cuties, especially for being a spider. There is a certain intelligence you can see when you look into their eyes. I just can't place it, but they make truly remarkable companions with the ability to rapidly scale walls, caves, cliffsides, and the like. By no means are they a beast of burden, however they make up for this with their abilities to constrict or assassinate their targets. Maevia Eureka can take down much larger prey with its torpor inducing bola, the net cast, and this makes them remarkable allies for taming other creatures. Here on Extinction in particular I’ve witnessed the Maevia variant present actively protecting survivors from other creature threats. Whether this surprising, but welcome, protective behavior is due to a potential coexistence with humans from the past, or stems from their species’ understanding that allying with survivors, rather than attacking on sight, gives both the best chance at survival, I do not know. But who am I to question this heroic creature that has saved the lives of other survivors, as well as my own, on numerous occasions? Their intervention during confrontations in the wild has been a complete lifesaver." Hello there! I've been a huge supporter of the Maevia ever since I first saw its initial entry several creature votes ago. I'm not the original author/creator, which 100% belongs to Sovira and their awesome design/art/etc. I'm working collaboratively with them and posting in their stead to the forums so that they don't have to deal with things on that end due to outside factors in their personal life. However, there is no need to worry! Sovira will still be aiding Maevia from behind the scenes with new designs and the like for future map variants. - Delraz “Maevia Eureka is the jumping spider which is said to have lived once between 23 and 15 million years ago, and it’s now back for Extinction! Once more giving us the opportunity to possibly ride around on jumping spiders in the game we all know and love, Ark! I want to point out how much I appreciate those of you who've stood by and supported our jumper, yes ours! We stand together with this! It has been an uphill battle fighting against those who automatically drop Maevia to last place due to phobia reasons, which I do receive a lot of dislike for outside of here 💔 This has also been the case with our other dear spider friend, Yingi, and the snake Gigantophis from another vote. Spiders and snakes are generally the most hated creatures on Earth, after all. The jumping spider is quite fortunate that they are viewed as so cute to many who normally fear spiders! These are my thoughts on how Maevia eureka could fit into the world we play in, in a way that reflects real life jumping spiders combined with genetic modifications from other spiders, and how they might fit into Ark in a fun and meaningful way that reflects other creatures of Ark and how important each and every one of these creatures is. I felt that, as Maevia is more of a taming companion, this gives us a different way to tame creatures using a non-harmful method! As we all know, Ark is anything but hospitable in the slightest, there are many risks you take while engaging with your targets due to the fact that everywhere in Ark can be quite chaotic at any moment so having to be weary of your surroundings at all times is one thing, but the larger the creature, the weaker the bola... You may find yourself having to maneuver around an area and keep your targets attention while allowing for your jumper to gather enough venom to ensnare it once again.” [New Ability] 🕷️Architect The Maevia can shoot out a heavier form of non-sticky webbing to create a temporary bridge for smaller medium creatures and below (Para and below) to traverse to the other side of chasms, webbed ladders to climb up to higher terrain, or crude stairs to descend from higher ledges to lower ones. 🛡️ Saddle With the map's extremely harsh environment that has constant threats, corrupted, and OSD's, comes a high need for survivability! The Maevia's advanced saddle offers enforcer-like body armor (metal armor, -not- Tek) to protect its weaker leg joints. This armor also entirely encases their squishy, vulnerable abdomen. On the metal plating protecting the abdomen is a flat spot which allows an unmanned turret to be placed on it. Supply the correct ammunition for whichever specific turret that you placed onto the Maevia's armored backside to allow it to automatically target your foes in combat, both in PVE and PVP situations. 🏞️Habitat This is a creature that is capable of being added to any map in the game due to its likeliness of living in caves, but also as jumping spiders can be found in so many different environments, there particularly are no limits to where they could be found! 🕷️Ability - Tranq Bola The thought is that jumpers could take the droplets they store and work them into their webbing to create venom-coated webs that could be thrown like a bola. The webs would have a tranquilizing effect whenever touched, thus causing their target to build up torpor and eventually go unconscious. 🕷️Ability - Latching As a jumping spider, they have outstanding agility and the ability to crawl on walls, but at a more rapid pace, maybe even with the cost of stamina drain for balance! An optional thing I had given thought to was the ability to fully latch onto its target in order to accurately cover them with their readied net. 🕷️Ability - Prey Lure You're out roaming around on your two equus when one of them begins to pick up an irresistible scent coming from a nearby cave wall. Your equus is nibbling on a suspended droplet when you notice the faint glinting coming off the web it's attached to, within an instant a jumper has lunged at your equus covering it with its bola and is quickly wrapping it up in its webbing, but in order to free your companion you need to tear at the webbing, as a few good hits will send that jumper scurrying up the wall to hide! 🕷️Ability - Locking On / Jumping This is the single feature that would make this creature so invaluable, and even possibly make it require a very difficult feat for taming it due to that power, as with the spiders extreme accuracy, it has the ability to lock its attention onto its prey, much like our real world jumping spiders who wait for the right moment to pounce, and this could also be useful for when using its projectile web net, or if grappling with a single web possibly! This is a pretty big part of what makes them 'jumping' spiders after all! In contrast to its normal and Aberrant cousins, the Extinction Maevia can easily navigate the vast wastelands found across Extinction due to its vastly enhanced jumping capability which allows it to traverse greater chunks of terrain in a single leap, similar to that of a Procoptodon. 🕷️Trait - Scary Face This spider was designed in thought with evolving to be able to terrify larger than normal predators, making it an incredibly useful tame for bases, keeping your creatures better protected when having to move them around the map, I imagined it could come with an extra ability to raise its back legs with its abdomen to stay in this stance on the ground, or you could enable an option within the radial menu allowing it to find and hang down from a nearby pole, perhaps even a new item for the spiders and flyers alike, akin to a perch? 🕷️Trait/Ability - Dance! Jumping spiders in the real world have very little differentiation on sizes between male and female. When you have befriended a male jumper through an emote game and some bonding, he has the ability to dance for a female with your guidance. When you do the dance, the taming meter will begin to fill up, if you succeed with 50% of the meter, the bar lights up and gives you the option to continue enchanting her or to stop. If you choose to stop, she deems you worthy of carrying her offspring and she will allow your boy to breed with her, gifting you an egg if you protect her while she gestates! However, if you continue to 100% on the meter, you can outright impress her enough that she will bond with you and conclude the taming process! From both Sovira and myself, thanks as always for all the love you possess for the Maevia! 1 Vote = 1 Maevia who is forever grateful for your support! Potential alterations/changes suggested by others Maevia fans: The Maevia could also have corruption-like looks/effects similar to other Extinction creatures on its abdomen and it could shoot a strong corrupted climbable webbing. Instead of a tranq bomb what if the Maevia can use corrupted nodes as a special type of venom to inject into other creatures, thus inflicting a 'berserk' effect similar to corrupted creatures making them attack anything and everything in sight including humans even when tamed. This won't be instant though and will slowly come into affect similar to Rhynio sap attacks that can be cured with cryopod narcotic (because it makes it sleepier), or the creature being imprinted (the affect will take longer to activate the larger the creature). Instead of a latching ability, it could also potentially be a hit-and-run type of attack where it jumps on its prey/enemy, bites, and instantly springs away (the bite can inflict either bleed tranq or the berserk status effect.) The maevia can have 3 types of bite: venom bite- the maevias basic bite dealing little damage on impact but high damage over time. tranq bite- torpor inflicting bite little damage (needs narcotic to function). berserk bite- same damage as venom bite but inflicts the corruption berserk affect (uses corrupt nodes) Gacha coccoons, small creatures could be snatched and turned into coccoons, hung up and could produce goodies or other useful materials. Radial menu where the production, torpor, and other things could be enhanced, as well as weight of creatures depending on torpor percentage, for how small/medium/large the taming capability could be for jumpers. Torpor resistance due to thick fur/hairs.
  2. Species: Chaoyangsaurus🦎 Time: Late Jurassic🌤️ Diet: Herbivore🌿 Temperament: Passive defender🕶️ 💚Wild🦎 Chaoyangsaurus in the wild is a lively, social creature often traveling together with other passive creatures. They are friendly enough to come right up to you and look you over before venturing off to explore its surroundings. Enjoying warmer temperatures and lower climates with lush fauna or shrubs. Being no stranger to the aquatic life you can also find them in the swamplands. The Chaoyangsaurus is also fiercely loyal, and while it won't outwardly attack you, it will always rush to the defense of the passive creatures around it that are under attack, so be careful when hunting where these quick loyal defenders roam with other creatures. 💚Domesticate🦎 Chaoyangsaurus is a very curious and friendly creature that loves visual stimulation If you can lead one to your home it will often times settle right in with you. While not large enough to ride, the Domesticated Chaoyangsaurus makes for an excellent companion retaining their fierce loyalty and helping you in your day to day activities. Once a harness is crafted for them they are more than happy to hold your food and narcotics for you, and will even help you feed your tames in surrounding area! 💚Behavior🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is a passive, friendly animal that is full of curiosity, often running up to new creatures that come into its path. Though they will never strike first once they or a fellow creature is in danger they will rush to the defense of others. 💚Passive Tame🦎 Chaoyangsaurus enjoys visual stimulation above all. Feed it it's favorite treat of a rare flower and it will follow you for a time. Leading it through your base, or other structures you have built will slowly tame it, the more advanced your build is, the faster it will tame, and the more different things for it to examine will raise it's efficiency. 💚Combat🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is far from a fighter, but better than nothing. They will attempt a sweeping tale attack to knock back smaller creatures. While this attack is indeed weak it will not effect taming effectiveness of an unconscious creature. 💚Utility🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is a early to mid game companion creature. Larger than your shoulder friends, but smaller than a raptor these fast creatures strive to be your best friend! If you fall unconscious they will try to wake you with gentle nudges. Once you build the harness for the Chaoyangsaurus They have a high carrying capacity for Berries🍇, meats🥩 and narcotics🐍. They can also be strapped onto other tames that have saddles, although they will need your help to detach from them. They will work as feeding troughs for your tames, automatically feeding them the most beneficial food and narcotics to nearby unconscious creatures, but will have no effect on passive tames. The harness can also be used as a mobile mortar and pestle. 💚Extras🦎 Chaoyang is not only a curious and intelligent creature but an obedient one, able to learn commands such as sit, or laydown, or play dead.🦎
  3. TL;DR - Gobiraptor Minutus is a small theropod that attaches to Corrupted creatures in the Wasteland to feed off their Element. Kill the creature it's on and feed it Element to tame it. Keep it fed or it will enter an enraged "Hangry" mode. Naturally sniffs out explorer notes and scares off small creatures like pegos/microraptor. With interchangeable craftable TEK modules, it can use HLN-A's scan ability and stun TEK creatures and equipment for a short time. A rare costume can be obtained from Corrupted Alphas that allows you to 3-D print skins. Dossier: Wild: Gobiraptor Minutus is a big deal for such a little guy. It can be found in the wastelands around the Sanctuary City - well, actually found on the Corrupted creatures in the Wasteland! Gobiraptor has found a unique way of processing the Element that usually corrupts creatures and as such it latches onto larger infected creatures and feeds off them! Taming: Taming one of these little ones is a unique challenge; the first step is to remove them from the creature they're attached to by killing the creature without hurting the gobiraptor. They can latch onto something as small as Triceratops or something as dangerous as a Gigantosaurus! And the task of removal is difficult in itself: attempting to kill the creature with a tame is too imprecise, so you'll have to do it manually. In addition, if the gobiraptor takes damage at any point it will scurry off or - worse - die! The best trick we've found is to use a precise weapon like a sniper or bow to kill the Corrupted Creature. Once it's off you can feed it some form of Element, until it's tamed. Be careful though! If it finds another Corrupted Creature to latch onto you'll have to start all over! Domesticated: Aside from being adorable, these guys have a variety of uses for just about any type of Survivor! Santiago even made some cute little helmets for them! My personal favorite is what he calls the Data Scanner: helpful for looking at a creature's information. Santiago likes the Pulse Extender better - apparently it amplifies the natural bio-electricity of the little guy to temporarily fry nearby TEK - useful against those defense units. Even without the addons, Gobiraptor is quite useful. He can sniff out nearby data points, frighten away pesky creatures like pegomastax and microraptor. Finally, Gobiraptor also has the ability to temporarily power nearby electronics - like a short term, portable, bio-battery! As an addendum, Kaz was able to find a 3-D printer in the stomach of one of the larger carnivores. If you attach it to Gobiraptor, the Element it passively eats will charge the printer and you can print some unique costumes. Seeing Kaz walking around with bunny ears on his head is worth all the trouble I've been through. Make sure to feed your little guy. If he gets too hungry, he'll get hangry and start attacking you and your tames. -* So the idea with this creature was originally a bot, but I wasn't sure if that was allowed so I picked a cute dinosaur to adapt the idea to. Extinction has long been missing a shoulder pet, and I was wondering what would be the most useful creature for a survivor who has already beaten the ARKs and is now facing down the Titans. Gobiraptor perches on the medium to large size Corrupted creatures in the Wasteland. Before you can even begin the taming you have to find one you want to tame, then kill whatever it's attached to - it could be as mundane as a Trike or as terrifying as a Giga! And you can't use creatures - it will instantly kill the Gobiraptor. Additionally, weapons like shotguns or TEK rifles can hurt the Gobiraptor which will cause it to flee and despawn. So you need to kill the creature with a precision weapon. Once the creature is dead, Gobiraptor will be a little lost and just stand there, confused for a few seconds. This is the perfect time to run in and feed it some Element! At first it'll just take dust, then shards, then whole Element, repeating the cycle until tamed - similar to Astrodelphis. After eating it will curl up and take a nap. When it wakes up you can feed it again! Be careful though, feeding Gobiraptor Element will trigger an effect similar to basilos and attract nearby Corrupted creatures - and if one large enough gets close, Gobiraptor will latch on and you'll have to start all over. I thought this would be a tough and unique taming method while not being as infuriating as amargasaurus. It gives the Wasteland some life and a bit of challenge to the corrupted creatures. Alone, Gobiraptor will scare off the more pesky creatures of the ARKs like pegos, microraptor, etc. similar to a Sinomacrops. Additionally it can sniff out explorer notes like a direwolf - something I really wish a shoulder pet could do. There are two TEK helmets you can craft and equip on it: The DATA Sensor and the Pulse Extender. The DATA Sensor gives you HLN-A's scanning ability while the Pulse Extender allows the Gobiraptor to temporarily stun TEK equipment/creatures. It has a limited range and short effect - but enough to give you a head start getting away or turn an ambush into a fair fight. The PAC Attachment (Purify Absorb Convert) goes in the costume slot. Overtime as Gobiraptor consumes Element it will build charge which it will store in the PAC. You can use this charge as a form of currency to 3-D print skins! As a bonus I'd love an exclusive skin set to Gobiraptor - maybe a Corrupted TEK skin set. While the other two modules can be crafted, the PAC can only be found as a rare drop from Corrupted Alphas. It will be broken when you find it and you'll have to repair it. The battery part I'm iffy on, but to round it out I included it. Basically Gobiraptor can be placed down and set into battery mode. It will consume more Element (Like Daeodon) and power structures in a small range. Finally, Gobiraptor's allegiance is only bought with Element, fail to feed it and it will quickly turn on you and your tames. While it is in "Hangry Mode" it will attack tames and you, and also damage any TEK related items or structures in an attempt to feed. You can try to pacify it with Element but good luck - it's fast moving and deadly when enraged - you'll probably end up having to kill it. 4. Info This isn t a very good picture but this is the flemish giant. Its out biggest bunny on earth.I thing it would be great to have a bunny in ark especely this one. The bunny lives in belgien. apearenperance The bunny woud live in the red woods or sometimes in the snow biome. In szise commparsen it would be like a triceratop but little bit smaller. The Flemish giant would be rideable and the bunnys saddle would have a mortle and pastal on it.you would beable to se it in different coolers. Taming method Bunnys are verey scared of humen even the Flemish giant. So you would need to crutch to the nest while the bunny can t see you and place a bowl of barrys. But you need to be careful because if the bunny hear you while you walk it will get scared and jump away. If you done it correctly the bunny will rat from the bowl and be tamed. Abilitys It would beable to make a decent amount of damage. The Flemish giant would be good for tamming becaus its secondary ability is to spark with its leg and if you hit a creutre with the ability it would take some torpor. The bunny would beable to have ability to jump higher. The bunny can easely farm barries. If your are in the winter biom the bunny would warm you up with its fur. Wouldnt a big bunny be nice to have in the game:)
  5. Hello! Extinction was the first map I ever played on when I first bought ARK in 2018 and it's been one of my favourites since! BUT, there is something that I had recently noticed about it and that was the fact it didn't have its own shoulder pet like the other story maps do! INTROUDCING THE STINKBOMB! The Stinkbomb can be found all over the wasteland, where it blends in with the other Corrupted Creatures of the map. Because of this, large Corrupted Creatures, like the Rex and Giga, barely notice it! Non Corrupted and Smaller Corrupted Creatures, like the Raptor and Dilo, do notice it and will try and kill them! Once the Stinkbomb gets below 50% of its health it will play dead and release a gas, with a effect similar to Chalicotherium's poops, which will drive away whatever is attacking it! The Stinkbomb will be "Playing Possum" for 30 seconds, which will give the player an opportunity to sneak over to it and tame it! They have a taming method similar to the Astrodelphis in Genesis: Part 2, where you have to feed them Kibble (Their favorite!) to tame them. Depending on the level, they will want certain tiers of Kibble. Once they wake up, they will run away, but curiously follow you from a distance for a certain amount of time. If they see you walking up to them, they will pass out again (Watch out! They will still release the gas!) and you then have a opportunity to feed them more Kibble! Repeat this process until you tame your new friend! What does your new little friend do? The Stinkbomb helps you tame creatures faster! I love taming creatures in ARK, but the food drain on a lot of them is painfully slow. The Stinkbomb will release a gas from it that will slowly decrease the hunger on any creature you are trying to tame! The stats for the Stinkbomb work the same as a light pet from Aberration! With Stamina being how long the smells will be released, Oxygen being how fast it will regenerate said lost smells and Melee being the range at which the appetizer effect will effect its surroundings! You can also craft a "Appetizer Grenade" in its inventory that will effect players, tamed and wild creatures! Recipe: 20x Narcoberries, 15x Stimberries, 5x Spoiled Meat, 1x Smoke Grenade. Dossier (Please note: I'm not good at English, so apologies if there are any mistakes!) "I never thought I would see Trichosurus Vulpecula ever again when I left Oz, but here they are surviving rather well. These little guys have managed to blend in with the corrupted creatures of the wasteland, rather that be their decaying color scheme or the element within them to trick the corrupted creatures isn't certain. Wild: Like their western relative, when they are a target to predators they will, depending on the creature, either outrun them or "Play Possum" and ammit a foul smell that will chase away whatever is trying to eat them. Once they are in the clear they will jump back up and continue scavenging around for anything they can find to eat. Tamed: Other then their foul smelling magic trick, these guys have the ability to also give off a smell that makes creatures loose their appetite quicker then normal. This makes taming creatures a lot quicker. This ability can also be used to make what I like to call “Appetizer Grenades”, these can be crafted in the possums inventory which it can then be throw to creatures (or people) that are to far away to reach. This makes these guys the real Stinkbomb."
  6. This creature was a big southamerican fox, that went extinct 1000 years ago (or maybe less, some people says that can be even 300 years ago!) Location and behavior: This creature will be found principally in the sanctuary and in the wastelands, acting like a real fox or like a jackal (except for the sanctuary where they act like street dogs) atacking small creatures for meat and scavenging the dead bodys, but in the sanctuary is more confident with the survivors at the point that can come closer to them and even protect them, but if Is attacked by a survivor, it will become agressive for a seconds and then will flee away. Taming: This creature can be tamed in a pacific way, similar to hyaenodon but not equal, because this creature is the one who comes closer to you, and with the time, the Dusycion will ask you for meat, pets, an specific kind of treat or maybe just sleep with you. Habilities Once this creature is tamed, it’s very useful, 1- one of the most useful habilities is that can track any creature that you need to seek in a specific biome, but it only works in the biome that you are, if you want to seek for a creature that is not in that biome, you must change to the biome where that creature spawns. 2- One interesting habilitie of this fox dog is to heal you, but this only work if you give a treat to your doggy for doing some tricks, like giving the paw, for sitting, jumping, lying, speaking (barking), spinning or any tricks that dogs can learn. 3- A saddle can be crafted to this doggie, but Is not for you, Is for any shoulder pet to ride your dog and for example, a mesopithecus can ride the Dusycion and throw feces as long as the Dusycion bites your objective, and if a sinomacrops mounts it, now your dog can fly (i know that sinomacrops Is not in Extinction, but that would happen if you put that pet in the dog saddle) and deal more damage yo insects, those are just some examples; and the saddle by itself Is like a powerful armor that can make the Dusycion face even a reaper, but obviously in big groups. 4- Like dogs, it jaws can break bones, so their bites can make so much damage to a vertebrate and at the same time can slow them down because of the broken bones. And it can be carry exactly like you carry your dog! The second photo Is from an actual relative from Chile, look how cute it Is and how cute it can be in the game this creature :D.
  7. -------------------------------------------------------------- INTRODUCING MESOPARAPYLOCHELES THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB! ( The SAFEST mount on LAND AND WATER! ) ----------------------------------------------------------- (3D renders and Drawings by me.) -------------------------------------------------------------- DOSSIER 📚 : These creatures may look scary, but they're actually very friendly. You can find them around the beach, in less populated areas of the ocean and in the deep ocean, most of the time you'll find it in groups, trading their shells for a bigger one between each other. They can use their strong claws to stick themselves on the ground and let it go, throwing itself like a CannonBall! This is extremely useful to move around since the heavy shell they carry on their back makes them uncable to swim at a reasonable speed. DOMESTICATED 🦮 : To domesticate these creatures, you will need to get their trust with the use of their favorite object, their shells! A survivor can scare these Big creatures by hitting their Shell, making them hide inside their shells. While they’re hidden, you can use that chance to hit their shell with a Metal tool until it’s in a bad condition... At that moment, the Hermit Crab will become extremely worried about its shell and will try to repair it, and that’s your chance! Give the Crab the resources it’s asking and he’ll be grateful for life! ( Just don’t tell them the truth... ) THE SHELLS 🐚 : After domesticated, the crab can be taught to build shells that allows the master to see from the inside of it, giving them protection from creatures that could take them out, such as Kapros and Karkinos, but at the sacrifice of not being able to use tools and weapons when mounted. -------------------------------------------------------------- (Live footage of Giant Hermit Crabs trading their Shells ) -NATURE- 🌳 The Giant Hermit crab is a Docile creature, it won't attack the player, only if threatened. You'll be able to find them around the beach, less habituated areas of the ocean, and in the DEEP SEA of Valguero where they'll be found in groups, changing shells or hidden inside their shells, waiting for others to come for some shell trading or just hiding. Because of their shells, they have a natural stealth ability, making it harder for enemies to spot them, making it easier for them to live in the dangerous areas of the Deep Sea. -MOVES- 👊 • MULTIPLE PUNCHES The crab can lie on its back and use all of its limbs to perform a bunch of punches, one after another that hits multiple creatures • HIDE MODE The player can make their crabs go inside their shell while mounted or unmounted, this will make the crab unable to move, but will increase its defense while you wait for someone else to rescue you or while you want for your shell to do the work! •RUNNING UNDERWATER The Hermit Crabs can use the weight of their shells to get them on the ground, like if it was on land, that way they can walk underwater AND sprint underwater, something they're pretty fast at, even with the shells on! •CANNON BALL LAUNCH ( Better explained at SKILLS ) The crab can launch itself in the air like a cannonball, underwater AND on land. WHAT IS THE UTILITY OF THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB? When creating the Hermit Crab, I had the thought of creating an extremely defensive and safe mount! A mount that would protect you from being grabbed in the swamp, by flyers, snipped or snipped... a mount that would be perfect to walk through a cave full of creatures, or even to lead the way by tanking all the damage ahead! But the Crab isn't just a tank, but a very interesting one! It can create different Shells that would help you in different situations, so get reading! But don't be afraid, 'cause the Hermit Crab is full of weaknesses such as animations to re-create the Shell, being unable to use tools/weapons when mounted, Shell Health Bar, slow mobility, very low attack, and more! -TAMING- 🥩 The player will need to find a Hermit Crab, but how does one do that? The Hermit Crabs spawn at the beach and deep oceans, and always in GROUPS! This could be a problem for taming, don't you think? Well, not exactly. After finding your Crab, you'll need to use hit the Crab's shell, scaring it and making it hide inside its shell ( This is important because when the Crab is hidden after being scared, it won't come out of the Shell unless the Shell is attacked or after a long time, so you'll be able to tame one separately just fine! )... But don't worry, you're not hurning the crab, only scaring it! While it's hidden, you'll have the chance to get close to it and hit its shell a few times with your Metal Hatchet! This will eliminate a bar out of a few that will show up above the crab in the taming process. When you hit it enough times, the crab will start to get angry and the shell will shake, warning you to get away from it. When the Crab gets out of the shell and sees you, it'll attack you and you know how annoying it's to get aggro of a creature... but if it doesn't see you, it'll get worried for a few seconds then continue their day. You'll need to repeat this a few times and remove all the bars, and eventually, when all the bars were taken out, the shell will be almost destroyed and the crab will get out of it and start trying to repair it... If they do this alone, it'll take a long time and they will be vulnerable while doing it, so they ask for help! They will ask for some materials to fix their shell ( Crystal, Stone, Obsidian, etc.. ) for a survivor around! If you give the right materials, the Crab will successfully repair their shell and you just got a new best friend! ( Just don't let anybody know what you did... ) DROPS : -BASIC MEAT -CHITIN -ORGNIC POLYMER SKILLS : Even tho it may look like the Giant Hermit Crab is a water-only creature, the skills it has are really good on land AND underwater, but more so on land. 2 - SHELLS AND CLAWS! After years of evolution and being homeless, the Hermit Crabs found a few ways to take advantage of the lack of REALLY big shells... By crafting their own! The player can take advantage of that skill to make them craft some really good shells and claws that can change the way you use the Hermit Crab : • The Stone Shell ( Common Shell and Base defense ) Is your base shell with the default defense, but it's also the lighter Shell, allowing your Hermit Crab to move faster and throw itself for longer distances with the CannoonBall jump! • The Metal Set (A bit more defense; collection of SOME resources; No CannonBall move) It gives a bit more defense than the stone shell, but it also comes with pickaxe/axe-like claws! With the Metal Shell, the crab can launch itself into resources to break them but also use the claw that has an inside mechanism close to the SNAPPING SHRIMP'S arm that shuts to create a cavitation bubble that generates acoustic pressures strong enough to paralyze creatures, BUT in this instance, break rocks, trees, crystal, obsidian and more but doesn't expect much more than your usual pickaxe... What is good is that the crab gets reduced weight from all these years of "experimenting" with these resources, don't ask me how... The bad part about the Metal Set is that your Hermit Crab won't be able to make the CannonBall move and has slightly less speed while wearing it. ( The Metal Shell also has the format of a can in reference to Hermit Shells using metal cans as shells in real life ). QUESTIONS 🤔 -WHY CAN THE CRAB COLLECT RESOURCES?- The ability of collecting resources the Hermit has isn't completely made for the same reasons you would collect with a Angy, since they get barely more than than with the use of Metal tools, but more to help restock the resources being used inside of them to make the shells. • The Obsidian Set (Best defense; Damage; Inflict Bleeding by Punching; Less Speed, CannonBall Move distance and knock to Dinos) Is where it's at. Better defense and attack than the Metal Set and the gloves can give bleed damage because of its spikes that cut the flesh on their way out ( epic ) but at the cost of less distance from the CANNON BALL MOVE, less movement speed and less knockback by punching creatures. ( The shells and claws design is a reference to the Alligator Snapping Turtle's shell! ) • The Bio Toxin Set (A Bit more defense; Inflict Torpor by touching and punching; Less damage in general; CannonBall bit Inflicts reduced Torpor) Has the defense between the Stone and Metal Shells, but it comes with a toxic shell that inflicts torpor on enemies that attacks it! And when the enemies start to flee 'cause of the high torpor, you can simply launch your crab against them to continue to inflict torpor! ... The bad parts about this shell are less damage overall, and using the CANNOONBALL move will do less torpor to the target. ( The design of the shell is a reference to the Red Lionfish. ) •The Crystal Set (Small Defense; Touching and Punching inflicts high Knockback; Living Spiked walls when hiding inside Shell) Doesn't have much more defense than the Stone Shell, but it comes with great spikes around the Shell and Claws that inflicts high knockback into enemies and then slow them down for a few seconds, enough for you to push undesired creatures away from you as you walk/swim/fly. Using the Crystal Shell and the button to make the Crab hide inside the shell, the player can use them as spiked walls! Just put a bunch of them around a creature or area and you'll have great protection over that area! ( The Spiky design is inspired by the spiked walls, something you could use this shell for! ) QUESTIONS 🤔 -HOW TO IMPLEMENT THE BUFFS?- To get new shells the player must first grab the item and drop it into the SADDLE of the crab, this will make the crab go into a little animation where it'll get out of the shell and start to rebuild it, but only for some seconds. After it was finished the crab will get back into the shell with its gloves and shell ready! -DOES THE BUFF HAVE A TIMER?- The timer of the buffs is the quantity of the equipped items your crab is carrying, BUT it only goes down when getting hit or using the claw when punching creatures or resources. -WHAT IF THE RESOURCES RUN OUT?- When the resources run out, the crab will force the player to unmount and then clear/rebuild its shell to the basic form for a couple of seconds... So be careful with the amount you're carrying! -WHAT IF I WANT TO SWITCH/DISABLE THE BUFF?- You'll need to take the material out of the SADDLE, just like disabling a skin, this will make the crab do the cleaning/repair animation, forcing you out of the SADDLE, so don't even try to abuse it! 2 - CANNON BALL LAUNCH ( Underwater and on Land! ) 💣 🤏The Crab can launch itself, damaging everything on its way!📹 The Hermit Crab cannot swim greatly underwater when it has the shell on, something that happens with the real worlds version of them too, so in this iteration, it has to rely on its cannonball move, where it'll stick its hand into the ground, push itself back, then let it go for a cannonball launch of itself! This is a great way to move around with this creature that isn't very fast underwater, but a bit faster on land. While in the air with the cannonball launch the crab will hide inside the shell to be ready in case it hits any enemy in the way! And talking about enemies, the ones that are hit by the shell while in cannon ball mode you receive damage and any of the extra buff implemented by the shell being used at the moment. The controls will be something close to the Procoptodon. The player will be able to hold a button, increase the dintanse of the throw ( Like a Slingshot ), while honding the button, the player will also be able to change the direction of the throw, but not buy too much! Again, think of a slingshot, you can pull it back and aim left, right, up and down but not much backwards. The distance of the CannoonBall could also be something close to the Procoptodon, but faster. I had the idea of making them be able to stick and launch themselves from walls, but I feel like this could be... A bit too much. QUESTIONS 🤔 -CAN THE CRAB SWIM UNDERWATER?- Yes, but with the shell, the speed is very bad, so the CANNON BALL move will be a better option, byt WITHOUT the shell the swimming speed is way better, but you're WAY too vulnerable. -CAN YOU DECIDE THE DISTANCE OF THE CANNONBALL JUMP?- Yes, you'll be able to decide the distance by pressing "W" and "S" to push back or retrieve a bit. -CAN YOU CHANGE THE DIRECTION WHILE LAUNCHED?- You'll be able to use the MOUSE or A/D to change the direction while on air, but NOT TOO MUCH, so aim carefully. 3 - SHELL EXPLOSION 💥 🤏When the Shell breaks, it'll explode, stunning creatures for a few seconds and gives the Crab a speed boost to escape!📹 The Shell has a health that when it reaches 0, it'll make the shell explode and leave the crab vulnerable! ... Luckily, the Hermit Crabs have evolved to create a last-moment escape! When the shell's health reaches 0, it'll explode, throwing pieces around that'll stunt the enemies for a few seconds and give the crab a speed boost to escape! ( Don't think you'll Baryonyx this, because without the shell, the crab takes MORE damage than usual, so don't risk this! ). But how will the crab escape at sucking slow speed, you ask? Well, in these years of evolution, the Hermit Crabs got blessed by mother nature with a pair of back legs that help it swim faster to escape! It allows the crab to swim normally and pretty fast! ( At least faster than a Mega ). Sadly, it's of no use when the crab has the shell on. QUESTIONS 🤔 -HOW TO RECOVER THE SHELL AFTER IT EXPLODED?- Finding a new shell isn't easy, so your crab will need a couple of seconds to find one. The player will need to get out of the creature, the crab then will INSTANTLY dig into the ground for a new shell, then come out with a new one! But without any of the buffs, that'll have to be implemented again. -DOES THE SPEED BOOST APPLY IF I RUN OUT OF RESOURCES?- Yes, but there's a delay to it, so you'll be able to time a speed boost, but at the cost of not getting another for some considerable amount of time. 2 - SHELL SLAM! 🤏The Crab can SLAM its Shell to knockback Dinos away, but this DAMAGES the Shell too📹 Suggestion by ElPINGUcubano94 The Giant Hermit Crab is a Tank, which means you'll use him to take a lot of damage and punch bad dinos while doing it...But what if you're stuck in a bad situation such as angry Carnivores attacking you from all sides? That could be bad... Luckily the Hermit Crab has another skill that could help, The Shell Slam! Your Crab will lift its shell and hit it on the ground, inflicting knockback into enemies and giving you space to do the CannoonBall jump and run away! But don't think this is something you'll be able to do frequently, 'cause when the Crab does this move, it'll consume a significant amount of stamina AND damage the Shell! So use it only when necessary! 3 - HIDING MODE! 🤏Your Crab can hide at any moment to increase its defense, but can't attack back or move 📹 The Giant Hermit Crab has the ability to hide itself inside of it's shell, like the Doedicurus, and when it's hidden, it's defense increase by a good amount! Sadly it can't attack when hidden, so the Crab waits for the attacker to give up, or it use different shells that damages, inflicts knockback or torpor onto the attacker when they hit, making them run away after some time. ⭐UNIQUE FEATURES⭐ BARYONYX STUN IMMUNITY While at the hiding mode, the crab also becomes immune to the BARYONYX STUN, but as you know, the crab can't attack back when hiding, so the survivor could have a different shell that would damage the enemy in some way equipped or wait for other tames to dealt with it. DEINONYCHUS LATCH BLEEDING IMMUNITY Valguero is the map where you'll find a LOT of Deinos, and that can be a problem since they can latch into your tame and DESTROY it... Luckly if your creature choice is the Giant Hermit Crab, you can be safe from that ( almost ). When a Deino latches into a Giant Hermit Crab and tries to bite it, the only damage that will be done is to the SHELL, saving you from the bleeding! But be careful, 'cause your Shell is still being damaged, so if the Deino bites it for too long, it'll eventually break! •CANNOT BE GRABBED/UNMOUNTED BY CREATURES Due to the player being protected by the giant shell, no creatures can pick the player, such as Kapros and Flyers, or even be unmounted by creatures such as Microraptor. •CANNOT USE WEAPONS WHEN MOUNTED The Hermit crab has a really strong and protective shell, so the player taught the crab to do a little hole in it so the player can see inside of it... But at the cost of not being able to shoot and use any weapons while inside. •SHELLS TURN INTO RESOURCES • When a Crab trades their shells in the wild, it'll stay in the ground and can be broken as a alternative to Rocks, giving stone to the survivor. • THE CRAB WILL CLEAN IT'S EYES. Yes. SHOULD EVERYTHING BE ADDED? Of course not! I'm just throwing ideas out there, and i'm sure that some of it may be unecessary or could be simplified in some way... But that's something that WC would decide themselves! WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE HERMIT CRAB? The Giant Hermit Crab is a Tank creature, has very strong defense, but not much damage. You'll be using the Hermit Crab to Cross dangerous place with a garantee that you'll survive, but, he isn't immortal... The Shell Health bar makes it so you'll can only take so much damage. You can exploves caves, ocean, swamps, bases and more! WHY SHOULD THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB BE ADDED IN THE ARK? The Giant Hermit Crab not only adds more life to the Ocean, something that is very needed in Ark, but also to the beaches! They'll add new ways to explore and survive on this map with it's new Shell Switching mechanic, It'll change the game for PVP and PVE players! You'll be able to explore caves and mountains with the Crystal Shell to inflict knockback into enemies or even protect a tame on land or underwater; Go on a rampage with the Obsidian Shell and Claws; Tame underwater creatures with the amazing Bio Toxin Shell; Collect Resouces with the Metal Shell and Claw and travel through The Center with the Cannonball jump! IS IT OVERPOWERED? Even tho the Hermit Crab has so many abilities, you have to remember that it's isn't very strong or agile. You can't run or swim fast with it ( or even swim at all ), and you can't use the abilities for long periods of time. The Giant Hermit Crab is suposed to be a tank and a creature that will let you walk though places safely, you can walk into the swamp without beng anoyed by Kapros and Barys, you can walk in the Red Wood without being eaten by Thylas and you can be very creative in the ways you use your shell to tank damage. So this is it, the Giant Hermit Crab! This creature may look complex to some, but I believe some time using it could really simplify things. Every shell has different designs to help enemies identify them from a distance and the switching of shell types has an equip/clean animation in between so the players can't abuse it! ... And if anything feels too op or doesn't need to be here, tell me! You guys are as hardcore as me, surely!
  8. 🦁Feral Sovereign: Presenting the Panthera Spelaea🦁 ⛰️The Panthera Spelaea is an extinct species of carnivorous mammal belonging to the family Felidae, which lived in what is now Spain and the British Isles in the west up to Alaska⛰️ 🙀."Witness the Feral Sovereign, the Panthera Spelaea. With its Roar of Dominion, it commands the battlefield, weakening foes' resolve. The Bite of Energy Drain saps their vitality, a true conqueror's strike. As the Cave Shadow, it prowls the depths with unmatched prowess. Clad in its Guardian Pelt, it defies the elements, a protector in every sense. A true Hunter of Horizons, its vision spans day and night, tracking all with precision. Bow before the Feral Sovereign, the embodiment of primal supremacy."🙀 👉READ THIS BEFORE YOU START👈 It gives us a lot to present this project in which we have been working to try to give the best proposal. First of all, I would like to clarify that the reason why we chose a big cat is because we see that Ark only exists today, the saber-toothed cat, the Shadowmane is a fictional animal, and the Thylacoleo is a marsupial, so we treat to obtain the best attributes of the Panthera Spelaea to have a strong suggestion and a chance to expand the niche it would work in. Being more a type of predator that can attack its prey in a fast and forceful way, rather than opting for a long and repetitive fight in the aspect that it is not a battle for "mashing the buttons" 👀Size👀 respecting the large size it had in ancient times, we take into account that Panthera Spelaea is larger than a thylacoleo but smaller than a shadowmane, being a midpoint 💥Wild💥 Panthera Spelaea is a ferocious animal found in the northern part of the icy mountains, being more specific in the rocky areas where their dens are located where they rest. For the most part, being in herds made up of females and males, due to their thick fur, they are able to withstand the low temperatures that few are willing to endure. It is possible to see that the temperament of the Panthera Spelaea changes depending on the gender it has, with the females being the most aggressive, hunting small creatures in groups and the males having a temperamental attitude, being close to their den tending the young of the herd. During the night is when the Panthera Spelaea becomes more dangerous since in this case the whole herd together with the alpha male hunting large prey due to the leadership of the Alpha which seems to make the females more lethal than during the day. 💥Domesticated💥 The survivors of the ark have realized that it is impossible to subdue an adult Panthera Spelaea and teach it commands, it simply ignores anyone other than its alpha male and when the alpha is captured they go into a state of crisis and disperse. separating the herd and killing their young by starvation. Seeing that the only viable way to try to have this mount is to wait until nightfall so that the herd leaves its lair and thus can take its young. Panthera Spelaea young, due to their young age, it is easier to teach them correct training until they reach adulthood, resulting in a powerful, strong, agile and fast hunting animal that by itself shines a lot but when in a pack it becomes becomes one of the deadliest animals in these lands. 💪SKILLS💪 1. Mighty Roar: 🙀it is a powerful roar that allows him to remove the states in which he can be found by his enemies (poison, bleed, stun, etc). This ability must be used carefully as it takes a long time to activate again.🙀 2. Overpowering Bite: 🏃‍♂️Due to its powerful fangs, every time the Panthera Spelaea charges its bite and bites an animal or a person, the victim will suffer a drain that will cause them to lose energy.🏃‍♂️ 3. Cave Predator: ⛰️The Panthera spelaca has developed exceptional agility and strength in confined spaces, such as the caves on the map. She can move easily and quickly in tight terrain, making her a formidable threat in those environments.⛰️ ⛰️In addition, his visual acuity allows him to track prey and enemies in environments underground, following clues and tracks to locate their prey with ease.⛰️ 4.Lethal Dart: 💥The Panthera spelaea attacks with a fast and precise movement, dealing lethal damage. Activates tactical retreat which makes you 20% faster to escape before enemies can counterattack, leaving only a fleeting flash💥 💥if faced with a large animal, Panthera Spelaea will be able to jump and cling to its body causing this powerful bite💥 5.Nocturnal Guardian Fur: 🥶 Its fur is thick and with color variations. Making it harder to spot at night, while providing warmth for your rider and nearby companions..🥶 6.A good companion: 🦴 Keep your Panthera happy with food and petting, and it will purr, giving you and nearby animals a small experience buff.🦴 🦴It would work almost the same as that of the lystrosaurus🦴. 7.Improved vision: 👀Its excellent vision allows it to easily identify other predators compared to the human eye, during the day being able to detect carnivorous animals and improving its vision considerably during the night detecting both carnivores and herbivores, having a very broad perception of the animals around it.👀 Taming 🐈‍⬛To have a Panthera at your disposal without being attacked you have to look for a herd made up of males and females: the male specimens will be closer to the cubs taking care of them and having a temperamental attitude while the females will be around them being aggressive. You must be skillful enough to capture one of the cubs from the pack in your arms and escape from the parents as quickly as possible before they realize your presence, if they do so the cub may get scared and lose taming efficiency once in your hands raise it and bond by teaching it to hunt, keeping it clean, healthy and well fed, keep a close eye on them, they are known for short attention spans and arrogance..🐈‍⬛ 👉Basic statistics👈 Health: 850 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 250 Food: 1750 Weight: 500 Melee damage: 100% Movement speed: 100% Torpor: 850 👾First mammal with Tek Mount👾 🤖Considering that this big cat is a killing machine, we suppose that after ascension you will be able to equip it with a tek mount capable of projecting a holographic shield to protect its front part. Adding also a pair of thrusters that allow him to make his jumps wider and maintain his top speed for much longer.🤖 Agradecimientos a AngelGamez,Neto,Boryini y Cetcat por ayudarme con las imagenes 😃 (En breve actualizaremos las imagenes, las de ahora de momento son bocetos todavia)
  9. Name: Japanese sea lion Species: Zalophus japonicus Time: 1970’s Diet: Carnivore/Piscivore Temperament: Friendly, Playful Sea lions are known by their exterior ear flaps, their long fore flippers, and a big chest and belly. They have a thick layer of short fur that covers a thick layer of blubber which keeps them warm in the sea. Wild: You will be able to spot these aquatic mammals spending there day relaxing on the ark’s beaches/coasts or swimming through the sea hunting for their desired food, they these versatile hunters can be found hunting alone or in packs, they are able to catch fish and other small marine creatures at ease. They are very playful social animals you may even see them playing with each other, you might even spot them swimming and playing with the dolphins. I have heard from other tribes that they are so friendly that they would even swim right up and try to befriend you. I also heard stories about how these creatures have been spotted saving those at sea. These sealions have adapted to be agile, not only are they able to navigate the sea at great speed just like the Ichthyosaurus, but they too can move decently on land also. Domesticated: Once you have tamed one, they become a valuable companion, there swimming abilities make them an excellent water exploration mount. They seem to be able to sense when people are in danger and are quick to notify and aid those in need. over time they create oil just like the basilo/tuso. Abilities and features these are just some of the idea’s I had imagined for some features of Zalophus. Lifeguard: this would be a sense allowing them to detect when a survivor is in low in oxygen and in danger. Breath of fresh air: Zalophus can blow bubbles which will replenish survivor’s oxygen, giving them that extra time to make it to the surface. Air/healing bubbles: a separate ability when they spin/splash about in the sea creating air bubbles with a range around Zalophus, these air bubbles could act providing air to multiple survivors/tames for a period of time within the bubble range, it could also have a healing affect within that range and only for this ability. Insulation: Since their body is made up of thick blubber with an added layer of short fur to keep them warm, I think they should be able to provide a insulation to keep survivors warmer in the cold sea Shock resistant: since they have thick blubber it could make them resistant to the shocks of eels and jellyfish. Oil supply: naturally generates oil after a period of time. agile swimmers: are incredibly fast and can navigate the sea very well. pack boost: with other sealions/Ichthyosaurus. Perform: They are able to preform a clapping animation that gives passive xp to nearby dinosaurs. Behavior: The sea lions are not aggressive until they are attacked, they are super friendly and will even approach survivors. If attacked, they can fight back by biting or with a fin/tail thump. Drops: Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Oil Blubber Taming: Since they are so friendly and playful One must first toss them a fish to feed them and start the taming process, afterwards you must swim alongside them (either freely alongside them or mounted kind of like the Equus/diplocaulus but maybe with one had around them swimming with them) and repeat the process, until you have tamed your very own sealion. You can learn more about Japanese sea lions from these sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_sea_lion , https://www.today.com/pets/dolphin-seal-are-underwater-bffs-flna878362
  10. Nimravides it's a genus of macairodontidae family, small saber teeths but this bigcat had the size of an actual bengal tigre, this creature it's adapted to rocky biomes and mountain ones, this strong cats are smaller than Smilodon brutalis but they are so much stronger, because of the adaptations that this creature have, they can be found in the mountains or the volcano biome, being a mysterious creature. Taming This creature can be tamed in a weird way, you must steal the cubs of a solitary mother in the mountains or volcano (this Is not going to be easy as it sounds) Habilties Once this creature is tamed it can be ridden even without a saddle, not exactly faster than other saddles but with an extraordinary surprise... This bigcat has the same hability of the actual snowleopard it can jump like a ninja or a parkour expert, a circles will apear in your screen in rocks and walls, you will can jump to them but not only one jump, for example in a cave will jump to the wall to the top, to the other wall and all of this without touching the floor, that circle can appear on creatures too, if you jump to it, the creature will deal damage and bounce doing a backflip returning to the original position, but if there Is more than one creature, it can even bounce and jump between them dealing damage to every creature it jumped on, at the same time this jumping hability it's useful yo avoid attacks from bosses and attacking them at the same time. The adaptations of Nimravides also are useful to climb rocky places.
  11. In the forests and plains of The Center resides an extraordinary and fascinating creature known as a Tenrec. With its striking appearance and unique abilities, this wall of thorns makes a formidable guardian and loyal companion in underground adventures. The Tenrec is a medium-sized creature with a muscular body covered in tough, scaly skin. What stands out are the sharp spikes that cover its backbone, providing a formidable defense against possible threats. He stands as a trusted guide on your incredible journey through the Ark. For those looking for a reliable companion, the Tenrac is the perfect choice. Size estimate: Appearance (AI-generated art, sorry, I can't draw) : Domestication Method: Passive Once the survivors obtain the food capable of taming Tenrec (fruits and vegetables) they can peacefully approach and offer the food. Upon sensing the presence of food, Tenrec will lower its guard in order to "disable" its spikes in an offensive way. During this period, survivors can take the opportunity to gently stroke their skin without taking damage. As survivors continue to feed and pet the Tenrec on a regular basis, the taming level will gradually increase. Active Skills: Ability 1 - Basic Attack: Tenrec alternates between his claws and bites when attacking opponents Ability 2 - Sonic Detection: Tenrec's spikes have the ability to vibrate and detect subtle sound waves in the environment. This allows him to identify surrounding threats or even camouflaged creatures, giving survivors a tactical advantage when exploring. Skill 3 - Seismic Hammer: The Tenrec can unleash a powerful shockwave by slamming the ground hard, causing a seismic tremor that affects enemy creatures in an area around it. Causes a slow to affected enemies, significantly lowering their movement speed for a short period of time. Requires a relatively long reload time Ability 4 - Defense Stance: The Tenrec adopts a defensive stance, crouching low. Activating the skill decreases your movement speed, but gains resistance against attacks that can stun or throw you and a slight extra resistance. Passive Skills: Toxin Resistance: It has a natural resistance to poisons and toxins. Natural protection: Contains a tough skin that provides an additional layer of protection against damage. It can soak up all damage before its spiked carapace weakens so it can take damage, offering survivors protection during battles or encounters with hostile creatures. Survival of the carapace is determined according to the total hp of the creature (20%) The cooldown for the recovery of this carapace/armor is low (30s) however, Tenrec cannot suffer any type of damage in the meantime, if it suffers the timer starts from 0 again. Weight reduction: The Tenrec can be utilized to carry additional items, acting as a "backpacker" for survivors. It has the ability to carry a high amount of collected resources as all items will have their weight reduced, allowing players to carry more items without overloading themselves. Damage Retribution: Lastly, it has a passive ability that allows it to automatically reciprocate part of the physical damage taken by attacks from enemy creatures. Note: Thanks to everyone who read this article about Tenrac. I'm happy to share this idea I had. I am open to any suggestions and opinions. I don't speak English so some sentences may have been slightly confusing Again it is worth mentioning that all "concept arts" were made by i.a Animal based (Hemicentetes semispinosus) :
  12. Dossier description Wild Sinornithosaurus is one of the most peculiar inhabitants that I have come across in this fantastic place, its cute appearance and curious behavior are apparently nothing more than a facade for this bizarre theropod. Despite its small size, this organism has developed an enormous number of adaptations. It looks like a fragile and fearful theropod, even so, I dare say that it is one of the most reckless and ferocious creatures I have ever seen. He is able to face creatures larger than him and still stand in one piece, due to this he does not usually compete with other predators, much less with survivors. Domesitcated Rumors about survivors are few, but luckily I have been able to verify that in a sadistic and brutal way, it is possible to tame one of these. I consider that it is a price to pay considering the results, this little friend is the perfect bodyguard, he will be able to protect you from aquatic, terrestrial and aerial threats, preventing you from falling prey to the claws or arms of any of the huge creatures that inhabit this island. Something that I would like to mention is the brutality with which it attacks small and medium creatures, if you for any reason become a victim of one of these, consider yourself dead. Description and explication of the concept Sinornithosaurus is a shoulder creature, very focused on combat, obviously not scientifically correct and has certain liberties which I grant it to be suitable as a creature in ark, https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinornithosaurus -wiki Hábitat It would share the habitat with large carnivores, such as rex, giganotosaurus and carcaharodontosaurus, being in hostile environments such as the volcanic island, snowy areas and redwood Ability - 1: Poisons Tiene 3 tipos de venenos, el veneno corrosivo, el veneno paralizante y el veneno letal, cada uno con un uso y obtencion diferente 1-Corrosive poison: this is obtained with wisdom and has the ability to destroy armor and shielding, added to this, large concentrations of this poison can deactivate tek 2-Paralyzing Poison: This poison has the ability to inflict unconsciousness and electrocute in a similar way to shock darts, the (shock effect also applies to creatures) 3-Lethal poison: this poison causes high damage to creatures and survivors in a percentage way, added to this, it can be used in certain ammunition such as arrows and bullets to grant them poison Ability - 2: Movilidad this creature is capable of granting you a large set of movements which allows you to increase your mobility Jumping: Sinornithosaurus increases the speed and distance of your jumps, giving you the ability to use a charged jump, much like jet pack tek propulsion could be Scroll: Adds a horizontal scroll to where the player is pointing, if used when moving sideways or backwards it will execute a quick turn Terrains: Your movement speed on land and water is faster and you gain the ability to scale surfaces in the same way as Megalania Air: You can activate a parachute mode and a glide mode similar to sinomacrops Ability - 3: Buff and Debuff Mimicry: Sinornithosaurus can extend its feathers to appear a much larger and intimidating figure, this being both on the back of a survivor and on the ground, thanks to this it could scare small and slightly medium-sized creatures, for example pteranodon or desmodus, this effect would also remove aggro from larger creatures Bizarre Singing: Singing would grant increased speed, damage and damage resistance towards nearby allies, this would also allow you to track enemies similar to a wolf, allowing you to see their location at a great distance and their health level (can be used from the shoulder) Ability - 4: Ambush Suppressor Leap: In the same way that you can drop your shoulder creature, you will be able to launch your target automatically towards a human target and incapacitate the target similar to a raptor, upon incapacitating the target, otherwise it will start attacking his target in a frenzied grip applying his poison. The only way to get rid of the suppressor jump is by constantly dealing high damage to the target or trying to incapacitate them via stuns items. parasitism: sinornitho has the ability to enter inside most creatures due to its enormous flexibility, when entering a creature it will constantly reduce its life and reduce its mobility, taking a maximum of 5 minutes to be inside a creature, during the 5 minutes, but it can induce madness in the infected creature, being in madness, the affected creature cannot be commanded, after 5 minutes, otherwise it will come out of its host in a brutal way, destroying it and momentarily incapacitating it, when it comes out, sinornithosaurus will get an improved health regen depending on the creature's size and stats, the damage will be higher, with Brontosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Megachelon taking more damage per size (Rhyniognatha cannot be paracited by Sinornithosaurus). Ability - Passives and extras 1-Sinornithosaurus accompanies your attacks, thanks to this the melee attacks are improved with the damage and poison in use of sinornithosaurus 2-by having it on the shoulder, you can not be affected by incapacitating objects such as net projectiles, bolas, bear traps or plants And, if one of your creatures is affected by any of these objects, sinornithosaurus will be able to free the affected creature, you just need to get close to the affected creature and it will automatically remove the disabling object 3-if any creature tries to take you, sinornitho avoids it, having nothing else on your shoulder, no creature can take you, if any flying creature like desmodus or argentavis tries to take you, they will be automatically repelled and damaged by the sinornithosaurus, this also applies to creatures like megalosaurus or karkinos, thanks to this ability it cannot be dismounted by other creatures (Rhyniognatha is the only creature that can take a sinornithosaurus or a survivor with sinornitho on its shoulder) 4-sinornitho produces feathers with certain properties, automatically, by having a sinornitho on your shoulder you will have an improvement in health regeneration and a 15% reduction in damage, added to this, from the options wheel you can configure the production of icy feathers and igneous feathers, icy feathers will increase your protection against cold and reduce the freezing time by 50%, igneous feathers will increase your protection against heat and receive damage received from fire Ability - Stealth and others 1-Sinornitho cannot be detected by Desmodus or Parasaurolophus and turrets have difficulty detecting it causing turrets to fail when trying to attack sinornitho. 2-has enormous resistance to most weapons, being highly resistant to tek weapons, explosions, and effects such as fire or bleeding, having a great overall damage reduction 3-you can enable a rest state for your sinornitho, which will increase its health regeneration Armor Sinornirho does not have a mount, since it cannot be mounted, it can only be carried on the shoulder, but it has a small armor, which gives it extra resistance, all the resistance granted by the armor towards sinornitho will also be applied to the survivor who porte to sinornitho Tame and breeding Sinornitho has a very particular breeding and training, to tame it you will first need to find one, which will start to follow you, as it is following you it will ask you for a sacrifice, to sacrifice a creature you simply have to access the options wheel and enable a new option that only It will be enabled when you are close to the sinornitho, this option will sacrifice your creature and give you the trust of the sinornitho, after this you will have to look for a creature to parasitize depending on the size of the creature you will have a certain time to use it (you can only infect wild creatures). you will have to kill creatures to increase the effectiveness, once you get 20% of the taming efficiency the creature will ask you to feed it with meat or with its kibble preferred, once the taming is finished, the sinornitho will kill the infected creature and come out tamed Breeding To raise a sinornitho you will have to follow a method similar to that of most creatures but a little more sinister, since a couple of sinornithos have reproduce, the female will lay her eggs in one of your creatures, after laying her eggs the sinornitho it will come out quickly, the infected creature will consume a large amount of food and the starvation damage will be higher, so you will have to take care of your infected creature so that it does not die before the birth of your sinornitho, at the end of the "gestation" the sinornitho will kill to the creature and it will come out with 20% maturation (after its birth its breeding process will be conventional) Conclucions Thank you very much to everyone who reads and supports this concept, both participants and fans. I wish you good luck in these votes. (all illustrations and ideas are my own creations)
  13. My Deinocheirus is gonna be a mid-game creature! Since The Center’s a Majority water, I wanted to make a creature that could be good for traveling the map but still leave room for some power and utility! So, I present to you, Deinocheirus Amphibidae! It’d be a semi-derpy creature but one that has a good sum of utility! I also wanted to bring a bit more life to the swamps! Something that wouldn’t try to kill you outright, but if you get it angry, you’ll be sorry you did! I felt inspired by some other creatures of past votes! It’d be almost as big as a Paracer, so you couldn’t miss it! So, take a look why don’t you? 🌎Habitat 🌎 Off the bat with a home and native habitat! As I said before, Deinocheirus would make its home in the swamps! They’d also live in the underground area of the map! Figured there could be something down there to reward those of you daring or lucky enough to make the trip! Saddle Seating - 3 Ability - Hydrated Like the Shadowmane and Spino, Deinosuchus would get the Hydrated ability! It’d get a boost in Health Regen, Movement Speed, Sharper Turn Radius, and Melee Damage! It’d seem fitting that a creature whose claws could cleave targets to pieces and can traverse the watery map with ease gets this buff! With a high health stat, yeah, you’ll be sitting on the beach letting your giant derpy duck play in the water for a bit, but it'll be worth it to keep it alive! Ability - Fish Filleting Since there’s creatures that take up roles of some tools, I figured we get one that’d be a living, Sickle! The Deinocheirus in the real world was presumed to eat plants but also consume fish! So, in the game I’ll make it a way you can not only get a lot of fish, it’d also be great for getting raw Prime Fish! Also, it’d have a weight reduction for the resource. Ability - Mobility Switching When the Deinosuchus enters deep enough water, it’ll gain webbing for its hands and feet and act as paddles for you to swim through the sea. Since you’d need a way to get from place to place, this is going to be one of its primary mechanics. Couple it’s decent swim speed with Hydration, it’ll be a very decent swimmer! You don’t have to worry about it going under either as it’ll have a natural buoyancy to it! Ability - Torpor Immunity To add a level of difficulty to this passive tame, the Deinocheirus is immune to Tranq Darts and Arrows! I’d figure since it lives in a biome where a good portion of the creatures deliver a blow to knock prey out, it’d built up an immunity! Taming You’ll have to be quick to feed this creature! It’ll have a preference of food! Ranked from the standard berries (Narco and Stim Berries Included), being the lowest, then Raw Fish, then Crops, then Raw Prime Fish meat! During the feeding interval, you’ll have to watch for the claws as they will swing them around in delight as you feed them! If you're in the path, they’ll do a decent bit of damage on you. So be careful while you try! Dossier Wild its interesting to see a creature in the swamps that can stand toe to toe with the Paracers. However, Deinocheirus Amphibidae is a pleasant surprise! Grazing in the swamps of this ark, they seem to neader and wade in the muggy waters. Grazing on the local flora and hunting occasional fish. It is refreshing to see docile and albeit friendly creatures wander the swamps. It seems to be ignored by most creatures, I have seen only one instance where a Sarco attempted to attack one, only to see the Sarco be ripped to shreds by the Deinocheirus's claws. While I was observing this massive creature, I noticed it has retractable webbing along its claws and fleet. Perhaps it's able to use its size and that webbing to swim from island to island of the center. I've witnessed the Deinocheirus gain a similar effect to the Spinosaurus when it's in the water! Perhaps it could rival the spino… Domesticated The Deinocheirus's claws make for collecting both normal and prime fish meat easy! Especially from fish like the Sabertooth Salmon and the piranha of its native biome. I've also seen that many tribes who want to show a sign of peace go for the Deinocheirus. If I had to give the creature a motto it'd be 'Speak soft and Carry a Big Stick.' This Gentle Giant is a fierce fighter if it needs to be. Especially if it makes contact with the water. Tribes who I've spoken with have all listed the same thing, Deinocheirus cannot be taken out by Tranquilizers or darts. However, they will not turn down being hand fed a free meal of Fish or Crops. They just have to be cautious not to get in the way of their claws that sway while they're eating. I do greatly hope you enjoy the Deinocheirus Amphibidae! It’s my first proper post! So, here’s hoping it makes it!
  14. Real name: Archaeoindris fontoynonti Ark Name: Archaeoindri Maxibrazo Wild: There is nothing equal to the maxibrazo archaeoindri, despite their large size they are just as peaceful as they are imposing, they are the noble giants of the Center. The fact that they look like 3-meter stuffed animals does not mean that you can approach and hug them as if nothing had happened, because they are somewhat territorial, they are like giant lemurs but with a behavior similar to that of mountain gorillas living in groups where there is a dominant male that cares for them. the females and their young which overprotect either the male using his abominable strength to be a lemur or the females with their poisonous bite. domesticated: It is rare to see domesticated archaeoindris since they hide in the thick jungles or in the tops of the redwood trees, so having one is not an easy task, also taking into account its resistance to toxins and poisons. Well, lemurs are very interesting creatures and several things occurred to me. Since it is the decision of those in charge of the creatures keep or devise the concepts assuming that the archaeoindris can be taken into account, I will leave the ideas that I have in mind separately, the main thing that is as a definitive vision of the lemur and the secondary thing that is like ideas that although I am not entirely convinced, I think it is important to mention everything. What I propose for the archaeoindris would be mainly that the females differ from the males by being able to inject toxins, something similar to the loris. This indri poison could have several uses, obviously it would raise the level of unconsciousness of the creatures it bites. From the first concepts I thought that its toxin could be extracted and combined with normal tranquilizer darts or jellyfish toxin, what normal darts would do would be to lower the hunger of the creature in order to be able to tame some creatures more easily, however it would not go up the level of unconsciousness as a normal dart would, while darts with jellyfish toxin would both raise unconsciousness and lower hunger. An example in case I didn't make myself understand, suppose you have normal darts with indri toxin, you use them on a creature you want to tame but apart from reducing its hunger with those darts, you'll have to use others that don't have that indri toxin to knock out the creature in question. Now, if you use darts with the indri and jellyfish toxins, you will no longer need to use other darts as these will sleep and lower the creature's hunger at the same time. That with the females, for the males I have thought that they are pure brute force, they would have two exclusive abilities based on this. Charging against structures or animals in a similar way to gorillas, this attack will launch creatures and characters with a fairly strong push. And the other ability is to throw projectiles like the chalicotherium, only unlike them, the indri will have to have the projectiles in their saddle, something like the bullets of the andrewsarchus minigun. The ammunition you will need will be cannonballs, chain balls, and crossbow harpoons. Males and females will be able to climb both Redwood trees, mountains and structures. They will jump quite high and fast, something like the transformed ferox but with an animation obviously more of a lemur like the sifaka. In the secondary, it's not much, but to give the team more ideas, in the first concepts of the indri I thought about the ability to emit very loud noises that scare creatures, something like the yutyrannus, since the noises of the lemurs in in reality they are very loud and can be heard for miles, so my guess is that a giant lemur obviously must have made really scary sounds. These roars or howls, in order not to be a recycling of the yuty, I suggest that instead of scaring or increasing the strength of the creatures, they help domestication by making animals that do not exceed the size of the indri docile. And speaking of its size, it could be between the size of a gacha and a megatherium. Another secondary ability would be immunity to narcotics, this based on the strength of the males and the females' production of their own toxin. Going on to domestication, I don't know how I could tame the archaeoindris by conventional means such as knocked out or passive, if you try to put the indri to sleep the darts won't do anything to it and you'll only earn a death text from the lemur, and if you try to tame it passively the same, if you get close to him he won't do anything to you, but if you want to force him to eat the archaeoindris he will force you to leave. To tame it, it will be necessary to create a special bamboo food filled with narcotics which you will throw on the ground and the indri will automatically eat it, raising its unconsciousness little by little until it becomes weak and although it will not fall asleep, it will turn quite docile so you can tame it by giving it food up close. One reason I think it would be a great creature for the Center is that the forests and jungles that cover so much of the map feel very empty. And if they take into account the archaeoindris with the talent of who designs the reviews it would be magnificent. PD: Sorry if there are badly written things. English is not my language If you got to this point I want to thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion, I hope you liked it and give this creature a chance I add an image that I made for now to help with game design
  15. Hello all! This is only my 2nd attempt to come up with a creature for this so take it easy on me I hope you enjoy! This is the Vulpikala, and was heavily inspired by the Vulpes Qiuzhudingi, which is an extinct Arctic Fox believed to be the ancestor of todays modern fox breeds. Of course my creation is not an arctic fox but after generations in the toxic areas of Aberration, It has adapted some extremely unique abilities and traits in order to survive and thrive. NOTE: This is a Hybrid shoulder pet and mountable tame! How? Well Continue and you will see Vulpes qiuzhudingi Paleozoic Period Omnivore Curious / Defensive WILD The Vulpikara spent a great deal of their existance in blistering cold conditions, but upon traveling to this toxic zone, their everyday lifestyles have changed. They spend most of their days as a cute and innocent "fennic" like creature, and love to sit in trees where they playfully observe others. They have been known to "fetch" goodies for those they admire and in some cases become attached to them. They are mainly herbivores eating the fruits of the trees, but when provoked will not pass up a kill. When the Vulpikala feels the need to protect itself, it draws forth the radiation it has stored in its body to undergo a massive transformation, Going from cute and cuddly to LARGE and Formidable! If you are among those that have provoked this creatures transformation, be ready for a true test of speed and power. The true rival of the Vulpikala has always been known to be the Rock Drake. When it senses one of these creatures nearby, it starts to release a trailing glow as it moves signifying that the Vulpikala is warning its master and preparing for battle. Little is known as to why they dislike the Drakes so much, but it is believed this is due to their young being hunted and slaughtered by the drakes for many years. The size of the Vulpikala in full form dominates that of the Thylacoleo. DOMESTICATED Those who have become imprinted on by a Vulpikara have told tales of both true companionship and mystical experiences. The Vulpikara have been changed by the radiation of this abberant zone in a way like no other creature. When they or their partner are in danger, they waste little time leaping into battle from their shoulder and transforming into their full size in a flash that leaves those that see it in awe. This transformation startles all attackers as if they have been paralyzed for a brief time, allowing the Vulpikala and rider enough time to escape or fight. The Vulpikala can be ridden in this stage without a saddle, and is said to have the speed of a lightning bolt when it leaps out of danger, bouncing between cliffs and trees. If the Vulpikala finds itself in a battle it cannot win, it lets out a screech that disorients its opponent, and it releases all of its radiation to the surrounding area causing the Vulpikala to revert to its original form, but giving its master the time to escape as the cloud slows all creatures briefly, and pacifies smaller creatures. Vulpikala have been known to be an explorers best companion in the deepest zones of Aberration. Not only does it give you a get out of jail free tactic when it leaps into battle to save its master, but its ability to leap from cliff to cliff in a flash scaling even the most vertical of cliffs makes it a must have to escape any situation in the deepest depths. It is also an Ideal companion for stealing dino eggs from nests in the blink of an eye. The Vulpikala may transform to protect its master without being told to do so, but it is also known that some masters have forced this transformation at their will using a gas like substance only found in this area. TAMING In order to make one of these adorable creatures your companion, one must first create a bond with the Vulpikala. Once you locate one, approach it with ease as you do not want to both provoke it or scare it away. The Vulpikala will then decide if you are interesting enough to approach as they are extremely curious but prideful creatures. If it approaches you without incident, you then give it a "Toxic Substance" to empower the Vulpikala, then you have started the "Battle Bond" taming method. Once transformed the creature will protect you at all costs but its transformation has 2 side effects. First off it will cause all visible creatures to go into a frenzy, making them attack you without reason. Second, the Vulpikala also starts to build a frenzy meter as you battle along side it. With every kill the Vulpikala gets closer and closer to bonding with you fully but it also gains frenzy. Once frenzied its eyes glow red and it lets out a screech like no other that stuns all creatures around including yourself and attacks without mercy. If you are not lucky enough to get away in time, you may be its next victim. After the frenzy it reverts back to its cute former self and the process continues. Once tamed, the Vulpikala's "Battle Bond" with you is much like an imprint from baby to parent, but forged by the battle itself. The quality of this buff is determined by your skill as a tamer. NOTE: You cannot approach a wild Vulpikala with a tamed creature to start the taming process, and you cannot use a tamed creature to help you battle bond to it. The Vulpikala, as stated previously, is a prideful creature and will only bond with those fearless enough to fight at its side as one. SHOULDER FORM ABILITIES When on the ground, you can whistle the Vulpikala to attack any creature of its size. It has even been know to leap into the air and pull Icthyornis and Dimorphodon strait out of the sky. It has also been known that if it is wandering around on its own it can dig up and find valuable resources for its master. When shouldered, the Vulpikala soothes the master's mind allowing for any buffs applied to itself and allied mounts to last longer. Also reduces stamina consumption. FULL FORM ATTACKS Left Click - Bite attack that hits twice. Once for the initial bite, and once for ripping away flesh. Right click - A claw based slashing attack that damages and bleeds everything in a cone in front of you. C - Used to consume any "Toxic Substance" it is holding and let out a screech that buffs its speed and stamina regen for itself and all allies in the area. (While under these affects, the Vulpikala emits a light in the area due to the radiation consumed. Works like a glow pet.) CTRL - Cosmetic Howl CONCLUSION In my opinion the Vulpikala would be a perfect addition to Aberration as they are swift, can scale cliffs and dangerous areas with ease but in a unique way, and can protect their master with their many defensive traits and offensive traits. Plus the ability to steal the eggs of its only rival is pretty cool in itself I would love to hear your opinions below that could help me shape this creature even more! But remember, all things about this creature are subject to be changed by Wild Card. All art credits go to Blue Willow AI art bot.
  16. Welcome survivors, thank you for visiting our proposal ! The Red Panda is a beautiful creature and very loved by people, especially on the internet, personally it is my favorite animal and I would like this friendly creature to our Ark universe, here is an idea of how it can be implemented on the Aberration map, please consider supporting our creature as it will help to have a better quality of life for all players, either for PVP or PVE. For our version of Ark we will use the closest and most extinct relative of the current Red Panda; I'm talking about Pristinailurus Bristoli. Most of the time I have invested has been in official servers, much of this time is invested in the theme of breeding and care of babies, either to prepare an army for the bosses, for mutations or simply for use in the world of Ark, breeding is an essential element of the game and a fundamental pillar in the theme of advancing in the game, grow and get the desired Tek. Pristinailurus Bristoli will be your ideal companion for breeding, their friendly and playful behavior, they are the ideal companion to take care of your hatchlings, imprint them and even help with mutations ! It's time we have a creature that is important for breeding, as much as the Maewing, to give life to the best map of Ark: Aberration, and what better than a friendly Red Panda, curious and playful for this task, an ideal shoulder companion to use when you are breeding your creatures. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Common Name: Red Panda Species: Pristinailurus Bristoli Time: Late Miocene Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Curious/Friendly |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Habitat: This friendly creature would be counted in the fertile area near the most wooded parts of the place, centered mostly in the portal area where we all usually appear for the first time in this map, this is to help less experienced people to get this creature. It can also appear in the blue area of the map, but in smaller quantities, being a creature that is not fighter is easy prey for predators such as Nameless, Raptors, etc. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Domestication: Pristinailurus Bristoli is friendly and playful in nature, after finding one of these Pandas, its way of domestication will be in a passive way, but unique. To tame a Red Panda we must live with him, the creature will approach you in a curious way if you are close to its range of interaction (very similar to the Ferox when it approaches you when you have element in your inventory) this creature will try to play with you, it will make pirouettes, spins and jumps to get your attention, if you spend too much time near it, it will enable the taming asking for a caress, similar to the Hyaeodon, this is to start the taming process. During this process, the Red Panda will do a series of cute and playful animations, until he asks you for the next interaction, now instead of a petting we will have to give him a food of the player's choice if the Panda asks for it (the best would be kibble, honey, prime meat, etc) or doing some funny gesture or animation of our character (dances work quite well). After feeding the Panda (or any interaction it asks for), its taming bar will go up and you will have to repeat this action until you tame it, keep in mind that the Red Panda may move away from you as it is a very sociable creature, after eating, it will move a bit away from your area, make sure you are within its range of vision so it will come back to you. Once tamed, you can carry it on your shoulder like any other creature of this category (Otter, Ferox, Sinomacrops, etc). |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Skills: Pristinailurus Bristoli is 100% focused on improving the quality of life of Ark breeders, especially the x1 official server players who have invested like me, thousands and thousands of hours breeding our favorite creatures, developing mutation chains, or searching for colors in the different regions of the creatures. Whether for the experienced breeder coming from Ark Survival Evolved, or for the newbie starting his adventure in Ark, Pristinailurus Bristoli will be your best friend for breeding. This creature is the ideal companion for your hatchlings, as it will take care of them by adding the imprint of the owner of the creature (the Red Panda must have the common foods in its inventory that are requested during the imprints, berries, prime meats, etc) it has the ability to give cuddles to other creatures to continue the imprint making the life of the officer player easier, that in these times, it is increasingly difficult to stay long watching how a baby grows and ask for imprint every 8 hours. Combining the Maewing with Pristinailurus Bristoli will be the dynamic duo for breeding ! Pristinailurus Bristoli can help you with mutations ! but slow and passive collecting is required. Leaving the Red Panda roaming in a safe area, especially near bushes and vegetation allows it to generate a unique item (similar to the Desmodus elixir) a consumable that can be given to females to stimulate X% chance of getting a mutation (I suggest an edible insect or a berry), this will help now that we will be starting over in Ark Survival Ascended, as there will be no top creatures but it will also help players looking to get their own mutations. Either because they like to play alone, or because they play in a local game, this will not replace the original mechanic of getting mutations, and it does not ensure that the mutation will appear in some stat of your interest, but with this I hope it will help to reduce the amount of creatures that you have to use to get the low percentage of appearance when it exceeds 20 mutations, improving the stability of the official servers, by not having 300 females in a giant structure causing lag and graphical load. Carrying Pristinailurus Bristoli on your shoulder gives you hypothermic insulation, as Aberration is a very hot map for most players, carrying it on your shoulders will help regulate your temperature and you will not lose life due to the heat. To have a balance with this creature, you can limit the amount you can have in the zone or tribe, just like a standard or taxidermy platform will have a limited amount of these creatures to not abuse the ability of mutations, somehow I trust that Studio Wildcard can put brakes on this creature so that its use is not abusive, this thought for PVP people, the idea is that this creature improves the quality of life of the players, but will not replace 100% your presence in breeding. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| This would be all for the moment, any suggestions are welcome and comments that help to improve the concept will be very appreciated, I will update this post confirming that information should be added and to improve the idea that I want to express with this creature, let's make the Red Panda a reality in Ark ! thank you very much for your support !
  17. The real world species is from the Permian through the Triassic and we need more early tetrapod rep. This creature lives high up in the trees of aberration and is between the size of a Megalania and Megalosaurus. Though they would be longer. They would be tamed by bringing tames bodies under trees and they would then pounce and kill that animal and it would put up taming effectiveness. This species would also be a fast swimmer and runner and more of a transport mount then a fighting one. They would have a weak bite attack but their claw attack would be really strong. They could also flash bang creatures with their tail which would be good against the nameless. They could also have it's charge light havested and have a double or triple saddle . Other abilities They would be buffed like a megatherium when fighting insects. They would have a decent charge and would be good against the nameless and low level reaper kings and in groups could take down a reaper queen (pack bonus) they would be immune to radiation and have a powerful claw attack . They would be really good climbers and it would be similar to a rock drake or a megalania. They would also be good gliders and faster then rock drakes while gliding . This species wouldn't be as strong as a rock drake and it's strength is more inline with other mid sized carnivore Size in game. This creature would be on the smaller side somewhere in-between a megalania and a Megalosaurus.
  19. Tenrec - The Vanguard of Spines In the dark and enigmatic depths of the Aberration caves, resides an extraordinary and fascinating creature known as the Tenrec. With its impressive appearance and unique abilities, this wall of spines stands out as a formidable guardian and loyal companion in underground adventures. The Tenrec is a medium-sized creature with a muscular body and a tough, scaly skin. What catches the eye are the sharp spines that cover its dorsal spine, providing formidable defense against potential threats. It excels as a reliable guide, capable of exploring radioactive and dangerous areas without suffering the harmful effects. For those seeking a dependable companion in the abyssal depths, the Tenrec is the perfect choice. Ability 3 - Seismic Hammer: The Tenrec can unleash a powerful shockwave by slamming the ground hard, causing a seismic tremor that affects enemy creatures in an area around it. Passive Skills: Radiation Resistance: It has a natural resistance to radiation which makes it capable of exploring highly radioactive areas without suffering the harmful effects of radiation, allowing survivors to use it as a safe guide in dangerous environments. Toxin Resistance: It has a natural resistance to poisons and toxins. I don't speak English so some sentences may have been slightly confusing Again it is worth mentioning that all "concept arts" were made by i.a Animal based : Hemicentetes semispinosus
  20. I didn't really like the design in the video, I prefer the ones in the image and I believe the players do too... Image credit: Chung-Tat Cheung, Min Wang (MY FAVORITE DESIGN) More images: A newly discovered species of dinosaur in the family of Scansoriopterygidae. This tiny creature had wings like a bat: leathery, but not feathery. Size: Only 33 inches long (Cm) Life: lived 163 million years ago, right in the middle of the Jurassic, in present-day Liaoning Province, China. Despite looking like Archeopteryx, this creature was just discovered and has wings similar to a bat. luminous creature https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambopteryx Unlike most other non-avian theropods, it had a short tail without a transition point and ended in a pygostyle, a set of fused tail vertebrae. What would change in the ark: When released by pressing a specific key, he can fly and serve as an observer, spotting several animals to a certain airline, informing his level, differentiating males and females and even other survivors that approach his master. When released, he cannot take damage in the air and will have a specific amount of time before returning. If the survivor dies, he will be marked on the map and will go to the survivor when he approaches again. Despite looking like a simple creature, it fits well with the aberration because its tails are luminous and because it is similar to a bat it can get you out of many problems in caves. In addition, he can scream into the survivor's shoulder, scaring away several nearby creatures as the sound emitted by him is irritating to the ear of predators. Wildcard attention: (Things I would love to have on the ASA) I- you can also get wyvern milk by breeding wyverns; II- Some type of food that attracts the beavers to another location because the natural cement "farm" is constant in the game and the beavers are boring; III- poison, both to put in traps and to poison animals by arrow... Putting foods that attract creatures and poison cave creatures would be great for cleaning caves. Edit: I- This creature can still warn if the animal is wild or from a survivor when flying. II- serves to glide too, similar to a wingsuit III- omnivorous IV- sinomacrops has a similar scream, but I would like Ambopteryx, in addition to scaring away small creatures, to scare away all cave creatures as it would save you from many problems. It's not his size that scares other beings away, like the scream of a rex... It's the frequency of his scream that would be irritating to the ear of predators (that the frequency does not annoy the players, right wildcar...) V- some details on it are also bright, in addition to the syrup VI- DETECTS all tamed animals nearby (long range) - for when you die and lose your tamed dino (happens a lot in ark) VII- When it dies, Ambopteryx feathers can be used to create an indigenous headdress that doubles the taming speed when worn. Ex: 50 arrows take down a dino, with the headdress it would take 25 arrows... The headdress also serves as camouflage along with the camouflage clothing submit your ideas here to improve this creature. I will read ALL A hug from Brazil
  21. Hello survivors! I've got quite a curious creature idea for you today. So I introduce the Platyhystrix! A strange blend of a Dimetrodon and a toad. It also secretes a poison from its skin that has many uses and abilities, which should be visible for you to read in the dossier image. -I propose a passive bio-toxin farm which can be found in the waters of the blue zone. -It will be a shoulder companion with a major caveat, that poison that it secretes is deadly to all who touch it! -It may also be tamed in a different way to what is detailed in the dossier. Unfortunately, I'm not as creative as most of you out there so couldn't come up with a truly unique taming method but, because of this, I welcome suggestions. -I truly believe that this creature would be right at home on Aberration due to it still be a real creature but having a very fictitious appearance (which fits Aberration's fantasy feel) Apologies for the low quality of the dossier image, I came up with this quite late. !DISCLAIMER! -None of the assets in the image are mine. -I am simply using them to visualize my creature concept. -I am making no claim of ownership. -Image links can be found below: https://w7.pngwing.com/pngs/64/38/png-transparent-torosaurus-triceratops-tyrannosaurus-quetzalcoatlus-fissuravis-weigelti-platyhystrix-tyrannosaurus-animal-electric-blue-thumbnail.png https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/616221072375596508/D840C750304F0CA7C6F24D9677C3BAEDCB89AEA8/?imw=1024&imh=662&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=true -Please don't sue me.
  22. First of all i know that this genus Is still alive, but let me explain this, this Is based in a fossil founded on Chile, it was a metatarsian from a raptor bird, this fossil was compared to an actual tiuque, a raptor bird that lives in the south of Southamerica, there is a special thing with that bird because it changed genus two times, from milvago to phalcoboenus and from this to daptrius, but the fossil remained as Milvago sp., a hawk from ancient times, but don’t make troubles with an actual genus, i mean, i the votations of Scorched there was an Acinonyx criature, a remaining genus, so i don’t see any problem to add this creature, and it haves an only paleoart, in base of that paleoart is this creature made. Habilities In game, this creatureis the king of the aberration, less than an argentavis in size but more than a pelagornis, this creature have different sizes too, like a dodo on mobile, only the biggest can be riden, the small ones are more louder and can scream from your shoulder, the creatures of the aberration know that scream and know that you don’t play with the Milvago, so for limited time, no creature will approach to you, also the small ones will deal more damage with It’s claws, for other side, the big ones deals more damage with their beaks, because these hawks use their claws like daggers but doesn’t have the special claw that kills, they kills their preys with their beaks, also when this creature are flying, it can do acrobatic tricks like actual tiuques and when it’s doing this tricks (like backflips on the air or like dangeous curves) their claw attack deals much more damage than when is in a calm moment and all of this is when is not with his special armor-saddle, this special saddle is inmune to radiation and makes the beak attack stronger and even can penetrate natural armors, even can kill easily reapers, demostrating who is the real king of the aberration, and this is not ending yet, the armor-saddle has a special thing over the head, a special device that can absorb the radiation and it can be liberated in a strong radiation beam that can kill almost anything. behavior and taming This creature is an apex predator, kills almost everything in his path except for dodos and featherlights, because these three are the only birds on the aberration, and of there was more birds, the milvago is never going to hurt them; the milvago can be tamed offering an expensive sacrifice, like the baby of a reaper or a basilisk. Something apart This creature is mi idea of addition to the game, please read all, please support me, since i was a child always dreamed with making my own characters from the games that i loved, just help me only for this time to make real at least one of My dreams, thank You. About the images And in the images you can see the paleoart that i mentioned and the strange concepto that i did of his saddle with a black color (because i hadn't grey), and i know that it sucks but it will be so awesome if someone helpe doing a better concept, thank You again.
  23. -------------------------------------------------------------- INTRODUCING MESOPARAPYLOCHELES THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB! ( The perfect creature to improve the ocean ...and land! ) -------------------------------------------------------------- (3D renders and Drawings by me.) -------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, everyone! First of all, sorry about the wall of text, but I really went IN into making this creature as detailed as it can be, with sections exclusive to answering questions that'll probably appear around. Now, meet The Giant Hermit Crab! My first-ever submission to the community creature vote, so excuses me if anything here looks or sounds too op/weak! The one who came up with this creature idea and some designs was my young little brother who loves playing Ark, so if you like anything here, thank him too! -------------------------------------------------------------- DOSSIER 📚 : These creatures may look scary, but they're actually very friendly. You can find them around the beach or in less populated areas of the ocean, most of the time you'll find it in groups, trading their shells for a bigger one between each other. They can use their strong claws to stick themselves on the ground and let it go, throwing itself like a Cannon Ball! This is extremely useful to move around since the heavy shell they carry on their back makes them uncable to swim at a reasonable speed. DOMESTICATED 🦮 : To domesticade these creatures, you'll need to wait for it to trade it’s shell, something they can only do in a group of at least two of them. After the shells got "traded", the Hermit Crabs will value these new ones quite a bit, enough for them to go out their way to repair it after it got destroyed. The crab will ask for various materials to repair it's shell, from rocks, pearls and flint to metal, obsiodian and even crystal! I imagine that one could destroy their shell and gain it’s friendship back by helping it put itself together... It’s messed up, you it’s there! THE SHELLS 🐚 : After domesticated, the crab can be taught to build shells that allows the master to see from the inside of it, giving them protection from creatures that could take them out, such as Kapros and Karkinos, but at the sacrifice of not being able to use tools and weapons when mounted. -------------------------------------------------------------- -NATURE- 🌳 The Giant Hermit crab is a Docile creature, it won't attack the player, only if threatened. You'll be able to find them around the beach and in less habituated areas of the ocean, where they'll be found in groups, changing shells or hidden inside their shells, waiting for others to come for some shell trading or just hiding. Because of their shells, they have a natural stealth ability, making it harder for enemies to spot them ( and so they can stay in groups for longer periods so the player can tame them). -TAMING- 🥩 Taming this creature will be something along the lines of a Gacha but with a few extra steps... The player must find a group of at least 2 of them, clear the area so nothing crazy can happen, then do the following: First, the player needs to attack the desired Hermit Crab until their health is low, when the low health is reached, the shell becomes extremely damaged and in need of a replacement, the player then needs to get out of the crab's sight and come back. When coming back, the player will see the crabs to start an event where they'll start to trade the shells with each other, the crab with the broken shell will get a new one from another crab, and that crab will simply bury itself in the sand and come out with a new one after some time. This new shell is extremely valuable for the crab and he'll do anything to keep it intact... So the player must attack it again to get this new one almost broken too! When the health is low again, the crab will enter another event where he'll start to repair the shell, but it can't do this alone... This is where it'll start to ask for materials, such as rocks, metal, silica pearls, obsidian, etc... The player must bring said items until the bar fills up and it gets tamed and rocking a new shell! ( I thought about reducing the tame process to simply breaking the first shell and helping the crab repair just there, but I really like the implementation of the event of the crabs trading shells, since it's something they're known for... And I think that after some time, it'll be pretty simple when you know what to do, but you guys could tell me in the comments! ) QUESTION 🤔 -WHAT IF ONE OF THEM GETS KILLED? WILL THAT AFFECT MY TAMING?- Yes and this would be one hell of an annoyance... but luckily these guys will hide inside their shells and wait for new friends to appear for some shell trading out of nowhere! ( This is something they do in real life too. ) But don't think you'll be able to farm these guys since they'll stop coming after some time, making the current crab dig into the ground and disappear or just... Start to wander around... And die to a Spino... DROPS : -BASIC MEAT -CHITIN -ORGNIC POLYMER SKILLS : Even tho it may look like the Giant Hermit Crab is a water-only creature, the skills it has are really good on land AND underwater, but more so on land. 1 - SHELLS AND CLAWS After years of evolution and being homeless, the Hermit Crabs found a few ways to take advantage of the lack of REALLY big shells... By crafting their own! The player can take advantage of that skill to make them craft some really good shells and claws that can change the way you use the Hermit Crab : • The Stone Shell is nothing more than your usual bit of defense, simple as that. • The Metal Set gives a bit more defense than the stone shell, but it also comes with pickaxe/axe-like claws! With the Metal Shell, the crab can launch itself into resources to break them but also use the claw that has an inside mechanism close to the SNAPPING SHRIMP'S arm that shut to create a cavitation bubble that generates acoustic pressures strong enough to paralyze creatures and in this instance, break rocks, trees, crystal, obsidian and more but don't expect much more than your usual pickaxe... What is good is that the crab gets reduced weight from all these years of "experimenting" with these resources, don't ask me how... ( The Metal Shell also has the format of a can in reference to Hermit Shells using metal cans as shells in real life ). • The Obsidian Set is where it's at. Better defense and attack than the Metal Set and the gloves can give bleed damage because of its spikes that cut the flesh on their way out ( epic ) but at the cost of less distance from the CANNON BALL MOVE and less knockback by punching creatures. ( The shells and claws design is a reference to the Alligator Snapping Turtle's shell! ) • The Bio Toxin set has the defense between the Stone and Metal Shells, but it comes with a really toxic shell that inflicts torpor on enemies that attacks it! And when the enemies start to flee 'cause of the high torpor, you can simply launch your crab against them to continue to inflict torpor! ... The bad part is that doing the CANNON BALL move will end up inflicting more DAMAGE than torpor, have that in mind. ( The design of the shell is a reference to the Red Lionfish. ) •The Crystal Set has not had much more defense than the Stone Shell, but it comes with great spikes around the Shell and Claws that inflicts knockback into enemies, high enough for you to push undesired creatures away from you as you walk/swim/fly. 2 - CANNON BALL LAUNCH ( Underwater and on Land! ) 💣 The Hermit Crab cannot swim greatly underwater when it has the shell on, something that happens with the real worlds version of them too, so in this iteration, it has to rely on its cannonball move, where it'll stick its hand into the ground, push itself back, then let it go for a cannonball launch of itself! 3 - SHELL EXPLOSION 💥 The Shell has a health that when it reaches 0, it'll make the shell explode and leave the crab vulnerable! HIDING MODE The Giant Hermit Crab has the ability to hide itself inside of it's shell, like the Doedicurus, and when it's hidden, it's defense increase by a good amount! • THE CRAB WILL CLEAN IT'S EYES. Yes. WHY SHOULD THE GIANT HERMIT CRAB BE ADDED IN THE CENTER? The Giant Hermit Crab not only adds more life to the Ocean, something that is very needed in Ark, but also to the beaches! They'll add new ways to explore and survive on this map, that is mostly Ocean, with it's new Shell Switching mechanic, It'll change the game for PVP and PVE players! Also, we must keep the cleaning eye animation!
  24. Like its close relative the ankylosaurus stegourus is a great armoured dinosaur however its very aggressive and will try to fight almost anything. Stegourus tail is no joke it can cut any tree making it a great wood collector and fighter if its tail ever hits a dinosaur they will bleed out uncontrollably and if you think a large dino would easily tack it out well you’ll be sorely wrong if it ever hits the creatures leg the large creature will become crippled making it impossible to escape. Stegourus name means roofed tail and its tail is like a solar panel charging with the suns heat and when fully charged it will never run out of stamina, will become faster, and will do 3x damage however this doesn’t work during night. In order to tame stegourus you must wait till night for the dinosaur to fall asleep then you must feed the creature by hand but this is easier said than done because stegourus loves to move in its sleep and if you accidentally touched it, it will wake up and fight you. you will need to wait for the next night to start again as it won’t fall asleep again. it will also wake up if a threat is near.
