Tyrrhenian Mole (Big Mole)(Sand Quarry and Carrier)
Greendino336 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The Tyrrhenian Mole is an exinct species of mole first described in 1945 by Dorothea Bate and believed to have survived until the Pleistocene. There are few fossils, a full skeleton has never been found or constructed. Although it is believed to look similar to the European variant. - - Locally known simply as Mole(s) or to one survivor Kret(ów), that one survivor being the one who first discovered them on the Scorched Earth Ark. The size much greater than their alive cousins would roughly be that of a Trike, with a single rider saddle being unlocked at around level 47, the saddle having glasses to help the moles to see. It would be able to do a primary bite attack being the fastest attack but doing slightly less damage and a secondary swipe attack which would attack far slower but deal more damage and harvest more delicate materials from corpses. The third attack button for the Tyrrhenian Mole would be to burrow, when burrowed they would use stamina and oxygen, this would be faster than walking for them (being faster than the basalisk's burrowing), allow them topassively gather sand and when the first primary attack button is pressed jump out the ground and do a belly flop similar to the Maewing. To exit burrowing without attacking pressing the 3rd attack button would do it. Their saddle would be similar to a Magmasaur's where it is an enclosed area made of glass, possibly to see the sand passing by when digging. Their claws now grown massive and hardend immeasurably when compared to their non-exctinct cousins can rend stone, only being able to gather sand due to how quickly they destroy it , as they have become attuned sand they hold it at 85% reduced weight. Slight damage buff against death worms, moles do eat worms. Their taming method would be to first find them out in the dunes burrowing around, and then detonated an explosion above them the tremours caused by even a grenade cause them to be stunned poking their faces to the surface where they can be passive fed meat or Regular kibble. They have been seen having a weakness to fire (Maybe a 15% increase in damage to them, probably higher), to counteract this wild Tyrrhenian Moles burrow as the shifting sands they dig in suffocate out the fire, a survivor riding a tamed one can also use similar tactics. Although it seems that it takes a while for the fires to die down so caution should be taken as one would not want to be trapped under the sands due to them letting their moles get roasted. - - Sorry for bad illustrations, I do not know how to draw online or on paper well.- 1 reply

Stethacanthus: The Giant Spike Shooting Sand Shark
Scout555 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
(Obviously not my picture/drawing) Species: Stethacanthus Arenicolus Time: Late Devonian(?) Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Stethacanthus Arenicolus is perhaps one of the strangest creatures I have ever encountered on these space stations, even among giant lightning spewing wyverns and literal rock golems my biologist brain absolutely hates it specifically. The Stethacanthus of the desert are for one MUCH larger than the ones encountered in the fossil record and are almost fully terrestrial despite those same fossil record species being fully aquatic, i'm not sure how big these sand sharks are but I would say that they approach the height of Tyrannosaurus Dominum when peaking over the sand like a garden eel and that leads to the whole "almost fully terrestrial" thing I said a while ago. Stethacanthus Arenicolus are sand swimmers, swimming (or more accurately burrowing) through the sand dunes for prey while also trying to avoid being eaten by the bigger death worms, in order to defend themselves Stethacanthus are capable of launching spikes form their anvil like crests which create nasty wounds on whatever is unfortunate enough to get hit by them. When not burrowing or peaking out of the sand Stethacanthus will move by using its front flexible fins to haul itself over the dunes. Domesticated: Any tribe that manages to tough through the pain of attempting to tame a giant sand shark that shoots spikes will have an incredible desert war mount to lay siege to anything. Its sand swimming abilities make it easy to get to one place to another with powerful jaws to swallow entire groups of soldiers and its spiked anvil can be turned into a horrifying ranged weapon almost guaranteed to kill anything that is unfortunate enough to be focused on, however warriors riding Stethacanthus must be careful not to use up all the spikes or else they could quickly find themselves being swarmed by adversaries. For any tribe not (interested) in battle Stethacanthus still proves useful as its saddle can carry multiple people through the sand. Technical Stuff: Stethacanthus mainly spawns in the dunes where death worms spawn, they'll typically be in "sand swim" mode with most of their body beneath the sand with only they're anvil crests peaking above, at the cost of being able to move pretty fast they can't attack in sand swim mode and lose oxygen (pretty slowly) too. When it wants to attack something Stethacanthus will go into "Sand Peaking" mode where it will go into a similar position to the death worm and begin biting or shooting spikes at whatever its attacking but it can't move in this mode, the spikes cause the bleeding status effect but absolutely churn through stamina and have ammo meaning even if you have high stamina you can't just go trigger happy with Stethacanthus unless you level up a unique stat knows as the Spike Stat, levelling this up gives you more spikes to shoot. Finally theres "Surface" mode, surface mode is probably the worst mode for a Stethacanthus to be in as its both slow moving and slow at attacking (to add insult to injury it can only bite in this mode) but this mode is beneficial 2 ways, 1. This is the only mode Stethacanthus can breed in and 2. This mode allows Stethacanthus to swim underwater, underwater Stethacanthus is a bit more competent than the land Surface Mode Stetha but being underwater consumes oxygen. In terms of breeding Stethacanthus are unique in that the eggs spawn in their inventory, just take them out of the inventory and hatch/raise it as any other land creature. The taming method is the standard knockout tame, the best/recommended food to feed while taming it is exceptional kibble.- 2 replies

NIGERSAURUS- The Desert Dwelling Friendly Giant
boss12362 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Nigersaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur that originated from Early Cretaceous Africa. A decent bit larger compared to an African elephant, Nigersaurus was a quadruped dinosaur with a small head, relatively short neck, very thick hind legs, and a prominent tail. With large fenestrae and thin bones, its skull was specialized for feeding. Nigersaurus had a wide muzzle filled with over 500 teeth, which were rapidly replaced about every 14 days. CREATURE DOSSIER: WILD: NIGERSAURUS CAN BE COMPARED TO THE INNOCENT DIPLODOCUS, USUALLY A FRIENDLY SPECIES WHO ARE VERY INTELIGENT. HOWEVER INSTEAD OF BEING HARMLESS IN SIMILARITY, THEY CAN BE QUITE FEARSOME WHEN ATTACKED. HAVING A REPUTATION OF KILLING AND SLAUGHTERING SARCOSUCHUS, CRUSHING THEM WITH PURE FORCE. DOMESTICATED: THEY ARE EASILY FRIENDLY TO HUMANS, BEING EASILY FED A SERIES OF RARE FLOWERS, THEY'LL QUICKLY BEFRIEND SURVIVORS. THESE LARGE THESE ANIMALS ARE JUST CAPABLE OF CARRYING A PLATFORM SADDLE. THEY ARE AMAZING SWIMMERS AND QUITE FEARSOME FIGHTERS AS WELL. Common NAME: NIGERSAURUS SPECIES: NIGERSAURUS HIPPIUS TIME: CRETACEOUS DIET: HERBIVORE, TEMPERAMENT: DEFENSIVE DOMESTICATED 2: NIGERSAURUS IS INCREDIBLY RESOURCEFUL IN USING IT'S BODY'S NUTRIENTS. WHEN INJURED IT'S BODY HEALS INCREDIBLY FAST, AND THEY USE LESS STAMINA THAN MOST CREATURES WHEN TROTTING, ATTACKING, AND GATHERING. ONE MUST BE WARNED, THESE ANIMALS ARE MONSTERS WHEN GIVEN ENOUGH DAMAGE. INGORING THEIR MASTER'S ORDERS AND CHARGING AND CRUSHING ANYTHING IN THEIR PATH, SLAMMING AND CRUSHING WOOD AND THATCH IT ALLY, OR ENEMY...- 2 replies

Adding Puffins to the game as small tames or shoulder mounts would be very useful in snow biomes due because of their ability to radiate heat into the air. Puffins large beaks function like radiators allowing them to quickly dissipate excess heat into the air. Puffins could also have a weight reduction on natural resources, or could be used as a method to harvest nearby fish without a fishing pole. https://journals.biologists.com/jeb/article/222/21/jeb216739/224504/Tufted-puffin-beaks-are-impressive-radiators

Pyroraptor Arderenyx- The Ark's Arsonist
tyrunt77 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Habitat: Lava/Volcanic biomes Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Taming: Shoot into its mouth while it uses it fire breath attack using advance sniper bullets, like ARK addition’s Cryolophosaurus Domesticated: A nimble but ferocious raptor, this creature is a needed addition for survivors looking to conquer the treacherous volcanic biomes, it possesses a fire breath attack which is somewhere between a fire wyvern breath attack and a flame thrower. It powers these breath attacks by drinking lava or having oil in its inventory (as a cheaper alternative), which the pyroraptor converts into ‘Pyro Fuel’ which powers its fire attacks. It can also set small to medium enemies ablaze for 4 seconds by landing 10 quick, consecutive melee attacks on a single target. When it has killed a sufficient number of creatures (The creature’s size and level matters, in understandable terms let's say this amount is equivalent to 20 level 100 stegos) and its pyro fuel bar is full, it will be given the ‘Ethereal Flame Demon’ effect, similar to Mortal Kombat's scorpion, its charred black skull and bones will be slightly visible, with its skin and flesh being replaced by semitransparent molten fire, as well as the physical changes, the pyroraptor’s melee and movement speed stat would be boosted as well it gaining the ability to leave a trail of fire behind it when sprinting. Its fire breath attack would be buffed, having more damage and range as well as it gaining the ability to phase into the ground and travel underneath, once again similar to Mortal Kombat scorpion’s MK11 ‘chain slice’ fatality where he phases (or burrows) into the floor leaving a glowing fire aura on the surface, to travel beneath the opponent to slice them in half, like scorpion the pyroraptor will leave a fiery aura on the floor surface on which it phases. The ethereal flame demon effect will last for 5 minutes before it changes back to its regular self.- 12 replies

Creature: Pontolis magnus Time: Miocene to Pliocene Diet: Piscivore Temperament: Female are docile and curious, males are territorial and aggressive when the survivor gets too close Why I picked this creature? Ark doesn’t have anything like it mainly. We haven’t gotten a new water creature in some time, and in terms of mammals I feel we are lacking in that department in our oceans. Wild Pontolis can be found in colder regions, like the snow area on the Island. It hunts for fish and shellfish which make up the bulk of its diet. Like modern day walrus, they have a thick blubber layer to help keep them warm and protect them from other creatures. Pontolis are social, usually being found in groups of 3-5 individuals with one male as the leader of the group. He protects his territory and females, often becoming aggressive if other creatures get too close. The females, however, tend to be more docile and sometimes even curious. Males are larger with thicker necks and longer tusks. Domesticated/Utility Pontolis makes an excellent diving companion for multiple reasons. First, it’s saddle acts as a scuba tank, providing continuous oxygen to the survivor while mounted. This tank holds more air than a standard diving tank, however, once it runs out the survivor must return to the surface for the tank to recharge. The tank’s maximum oxygen increases as the saddle rank increases, with ascendant saddles holding the most oxygen. Pontolis also benefit from a pack bonus provided there is one male in the pack. Multiple males cannot be mixed in a pack for this bonus to activate, but the number of females doesn’t matter. Your Pontolis will put those sharp tusks to work. When mounted the survivor can charge up a bite attack, once released Pontolis will give a nasty bite dealing high damage to whatever unfortunate creature comes into contact with those tusks. This attack can also be used on carcasses for large amounts of resources. The longer the bite is charged, the more stamina it drains. Taming Taming Pontolis depends on the gender and requires 2 things, a hefty amount of tasty fish and a toy! Males are aggressive and will not hesitate to attack the survivor. Taming them requires you to first remove him from his females, and then apply enough damage to render him passive. Once passive, he will allow you to feed and play with him. At random intervals, he will require you to either play, pet, or feed him. This gradually fills a trust meter, and once filled you now have a new friend! For females, you must do the same in singling one out from the group, however you do not need to fight her. They are naturally curious, and are more eager to get to know you. Just make sure she is far enough away from her fellow females, and the territorial male! After taming, you can continue to play with your Pontolis whenever you’d like, and doing so has a benefit! You can continue to grow trust with your Pontolis through play and treats, and at maximum trust you gain a permanent friendship buff when riding, basically like an imprint! This buff only applies to the Pontolis you are riding, and is not passed on to any other Pontolis in the group. Color Areas Pontolis males have 4 color areas. -The body -The underside -The neck -Spots Females have 3 color areas -The body -The underside -Spots Art done by me Links https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontolis https://prehistoric-fauna.com/Pontolis-magnus

Introducing the mauisaurus!! just so you know I kept getting this creature mixed up with the dakosaurus, tylosaurusand some more creatures for some reason while making this. I also don’t know if this creature has already been used yet wild the mauisaurus is an aggressive aquatic reptile. It uses its strong jaws and teeth to grab onto its prey. you should be careful not to aggro the mauisaurus, It may chase you forever. domesticated There isn’t much about a tamed mauisaurus really. Once tamed the mesosaurus is not able to be ridden. abilities •being able to knockout creatures: Using their strong jaws, the mauisaurus will grab its prey and violently shake it, causing it to go unconscious. •able to grab survivors off of their mounts: If a survivor is riding on any type of creature smaller then a shark the mauisaurus will often rip them from their tames back before killing them. •able to drag stuff the water: the mauisaurus may go a bit close to the surface sometimes. Whilst doing this they might spot a bird, raft or maybe a survivor flying around above the water. Sometimes the mesosaurus may use their long neck to grab creatures and drag them under. (this might also happen to creatures that are on the beach. Creature must be smaller then a turtle.) taming to tame this creature you must lure over other creatures for it to kill and eat. The higher level the creature, the more it’s taming effectiveness goes up. To prevent it from attacking you whilst taming it you must eat either calen soup or fria curry. (incase you have already caused it to attack you, the soups will cause it to lose aggro) other info •diet: carnivore •time: late Cretaceous •spawns: Nearly everywhere in the ocean Wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauisaurus thanks for reading this! Please let me know if you like it or not. some of the things here are inaccurate since I kept getting it mixed up with different creatures like the dakosaurus

The Colossus Penguin - Palaeeudyptes klekowskii Timeline: Eocene Era The Colossus Penguin was on average over 2.1 Meters tall and weighed over 140kg. A penguin bigger than most full grown men, resilient in the coldest weather, able to dive deep into the sea, incredibly fast in water, slides in land, helps raise young dinos, durable, and insulates. Facts: A flightless bird that is fast and agile both on land and in the water. Their wings are anatomically the same as flighted birds only shorter and stouter making them stronger for use as fins. Penguins can swim at an estimated speed of 36km and dive to depths of over 550 meters with ease. When cresting they can burst out of the water at the same speed, launching themselves up onto land, ice, even ships, far out of the reach of predators. On land they utilize their aerodynamic fusiform shape to hurl themselves and slide on their bellies at speeds that can surpass even their underwater rates. It's diet mainly consists of seafood (krill squid and fish). Even when gaining extra weight for incubating their eggs, they hardly eat more than normal. They have a bowel movement on average every 20 minutes. Their feathers are tight and layered with four types of feather that make for thick insulating plumage protecting them from the elements as well as most environmental hazards. Generally penguins are peaceful, though known to be feisty, especially when watching over their young. If a mother penguin loses an egg or a chick, it often seeks to try and steal another to raise as it's own. Loving affectionate creatures that form strong bonds with their young. They develop sounds that only they and their young recognize. In-game: As a mount- Single person mount, can ride as it slides and glides across land. Extremely fast water mount that can descend and ascend quicker than any other water mount, burning stamina ascending will launch out of the water, takes no fall damage, can take a lot of damage, eats at a very slow rate. As a nanny- Imprints dinos within range with a squawk and nuzzle animation. As an incubator- Can incubate 1 egg underneath it 10x faster than normal incubation. Storage- Works like a refrigerator. Combat- Fast mount, durable. Kibble- Drops eggs that can be used for Extraordinary Kibble Fertilizer- Drops large feces often.

Woodwardopterus: The Chelicerate Silk Shooter of the Swamp
Scout555 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
(Obviously not my drawing) Species: Woodwardopterus Sagittarius Time: Early Carboniferous-Late Permian Diet: Detritivore Temperament: Defensive Wild: Woodwardopterus Sagittarius are shy small amphibious eurypterids that feed on the underwater detritus on the bottom of the swamps. It is usually not a threat to anything and generally prefers flee rather than fight however if it feels completely cornered it will shoot a silk like substance from its telson (the bulby end part of it’s tail). If the attacker is small enough then there's a good chance it will be webbed while its meal scurries away into some dark hiding spot. Domesticated: Woodwardopterus proves to be a useful addition to any tribes’ collection of tames. Most tribes often have their small eurypterids passively create silk for them. However a few raiding tribes have trained the Woodwardopterus for a strange purpose on the battlefield, these tribes often make Woodwardopterus sit on some of their soldiers’ wrists to act as silk shooting gun! Who came up with this I honestly don’t know and I’d rather keep it that way but this tactic is surprisingly effective at immobilizing targets but not so good at directly killing them. From what I’ve heard there are two firing methods these people have trained their tames for, a shotgun like firing method and an assault rifle method. The shotgun method is better for close range and instantly webs targets while the rifle method has more range but takes time to fully entrap enemies. Technical Stuff: Woodwardopterus spawns in swamp biomes and eats both meat and berries, in order to tame it you must feed it some honey like you would with a liopleurodon then capture it with a fish basket. It passively generates silk in it’s inventory. You pick up the thing like an dung beetle and it will appear resting on your wrist. While picked up by you the Woodwardopterus is capable of shooting silk which can immobilize targets similarly to getting webbed by an Araneo, there are two methods of firing, “shotgun” and “assault rifle”. Shotgun mode fires a point blank web which instantly webs (and deals zero damage to) targets while Assault Rifle mode is a bit more complex, it has a lot more range but doesn’t immediately web targets instead you have to continually shoot at targets to web them. Your creepy little friend doesn’t have an unlimited supply of silk and shoot things with it too much and you wont have anything webbed, it has a new silk stat which replaces it’s melee stat, levelling this stat up allows you to shoot with your Woodwardopterus longer, if you want to change your firing method just go to the selection wheel to change it. You can also put your tame into a turret mode. The Woodwardopterus also can only breed underwater and can only survive on land if its an adult.- 3 replies

My idea for a creature would be a new tanky shoulder mount that gives players a resistance to damage. Minmi was a small ankylosaurid thought to be a very early ancestor to ankyolosaurus and other akylosaurs. Wild Minmi are adorable but rare creatures in the mountains they call home. Although solitary they are very happy to be fed wild mushrooms by humans. Domesticated Minmi are excellent for tribes at war providing additional armor to whoever they ride on. Minmi have also been found to "detect" selected levels and species chosen by the owner. When Minmi is close to the target it does a sort of dance and song depending on the temperment of the found creature.

Alphadon is a prehistoric marsupial from the late cretaceous whose name means "first tooth." Though it doesn't appear much different from a modern day Opossum/Possum and it isn't an attention grabber I hope you'll at least give this a read, and thanks in advance to anyone that does! I have ideas for the creature which I will go over soon, but feel free to make suggestions and what not. This is my first submission that I've actually put some effort into, but I'm far from talented so... anyway here is the text from the dossier in case it's unreadable: Wild- Nocturnal by nature Alphadon marshi, or more commonly known as an "Opossum," is a marsupial like no other. Should a survivor happen upon one it is recommended to leave it be as Alphadon happen to be great at dealing with parasitic species such as the leeches that plague the swamp. Because of its skittish nature, Alphadon tends to run from combat rather than engage in it, though it is able to bite and scratch enemies. It does have a fascinating defense mechanism though. When all else fails the Alphadon will play dead, even emitting a foul odor to really sell the idea, and the effect is so convincing that most predators will back off in surprise! Domesticated- Despite many survivors being put off by the creatures appearance, when tamed Alphadon can be a great companion for a variety of reasons. The Alphadons favorite foods just so happen to be parasitic, and as such it will automatically remove and consume these parasites from nearby allies whether they are humans or not. The Alphadons body temperature also happens to be colder than most warm-blooded creatures and as such it can not only keep you cool but it can also prevent the carrier from contracting certain diseases such as mega rabies! My thought process: I know that since this would be a shoulder pet that it won't be very popular, but I wanted a tame whose primary purpose was almost like that of a healer in other games. From what I can remember we don't really have anything like a cleric in Ark. Daeodons, Snow Owls and maybe a few others can heal but we have yet to have a creature that can remove leeches and prevent diseases. And I figured that since modern day Opossums eat ticks and are naturally resistant to rabies that the Alphadon would fit into the role of a cleric creature quite nicely. Of course this is just what I came up with so if you have any ideas of your own feel free to mention them! (Also, I'm not an artist but I hope the dossier is enough of a proof of concept...)

Tranquilizing venomous bites (similar to basilisk), lightning breath, strong sing flaps (similar to a Wyvern), special attack of slashing causes bleed (similar to spino mixed with deinonychus), fear screech (similar to Yuty). Dive Bomb causes cyclones, stun, and AOE damage Steal eggs from HIGH ALTITUDE or DEEP SEA nests. Wings like a giant eagle, hands attached like a Wyvern or a Bat. Slithers in land, torso standing like a cobra when it settles. Hovers upright like a cobra waiting to strike in air. Flies fast nose first, aerodynamically superior to most flyers in speed. Does not have a lot of excess carry weight due to hollow bones and muscular build. Multiple color regions in the wings, the belly, the back, and tertiary scales. Fast in air and water, slow on land. Great damage dealers, not tanky, fast water and air mounts, not great on land. The Coatl is a flying serpent, thought only to be a mythical deity of ancient Aztecs. It was worshipped and regarded as a God for it's mastery of the sky and wind. Though the creature is indeed not a myth, it seems to be the in-between evolution of reptile and bird. It is venomous and extremely aggressive. It's feathers are between keratinous and velveteen gathering large amounts of static electricity that it can guide through it's mouth along it's highly conductive saliva spraying a devastating blast of electric charge. Furthermore it has muscular appendages attached to it's wings, similar to a bar, that are constantly flapping, they have incredibly sharp claws that it uses to pin and tear apart it's food before ingesting as it appears to have lost the ability to unhinge it's jaws like it's serpent ancestors. Avoid at all costs. Extremely aggressive and territorial.

What the Dossier Says Common Name: Megalonyx Species Name: Megalonyx Jeffersonii Time: Pliocene and Pleistocene epochs Diet: Herbivore (Paper) Temperament: Short Tempered Wild The Megalonyx is a common relative to the Megatherium as they are in the same family. The Megalonyx is capable of defending itself using its unusually long claws and brute strength. It is capable of standing on its hind legs, but not for long since it seems to get tired quickly. This creature will not attack anything unless threatened. Domesticated The Megalonyx excels at gathering fibers from plants due to its long claws. Its brute strength makes it good for taking down even the hardest of foes. On its hind legs, it can use its arms to slash at foes with its long claws, but this tires it quickly. I can not tell why, but they seem to like the taste of paper. With further testing, I have deducted that they react to eating Rockwell Recipes. When they eat the recipe, they seem to gain the ability the meal is supposed to give. Taming The Megalonyx will not allow being hand fed, and will not eat when knocked out. Instead, they seem to like eating paper that is dropped near them. This gains their trust and they will be tamed. Rockwell Recipe Effects Battle Tartare Recipe +30% Melee +25% Movement +15% damage resistance + increased stam regen Consumes Food 50% faster Lose 0.5% hp per second (probably needs an increase) (Needs nerfed) Lasts 2 minutes. Decorative Coloring Recipe Gives the Megalonyx a random coloring +10% movement (like the event candies) Lasts 24 hours. Calien Soup Recipe Creates a circle around the Megalonyx that gives any player (including the rider) in the circle a +50% increase in hyperthermal insulation and a +25% slower rate of water consumption. Lasts 5 minutes. Enduro Stew Recipe Consuming this creates a circle area the Megalonyx that gives players and tames a small amount health regen for 2 minutes. Energy Brew Recipe Increases the stamina regen of the Megalonyx greatly for 2 minutes. Focal Chili Increases the movement speed of the Megalonyx by 50% for 5 minutes. Also gives it a charging ability close to the Wooly Rhino. Fria Curry Consuming this creates a circle around the Megalonyx that increases all players in the area’s hypothermal insulation by 50% and decreases their food consumption by 25% Lasts 5 Minutes Lazarus Chowder Consuming this lets the Megalonyx get the Hydration Buff in water. Lasts 5 minutes. Mindwipe Tonic Using this on the Megalonyx does not wipe its memory, instead, any creature that locks on to it and gets too close will lose aggression immediately. Lasts 2 Minutes. Medical Brew Using this on the Megalonyx greatly increases its health regen by 100% for 1 minute. Shadow Stake Sauté Recipe Giving the Megalonyx this recipe gives the rider 2 minutes of night vision.(only while riding) Egg Based Kibble Recipe When this is placed in front of the Megalonyx while taming, it will eat it like normal paper but it gives a lot more taming percent. (like 3x or something) Meat Jerky Recipe This recipe gives the Megalonyx 3x the amount of food as normal paper. (This does not count for taming) Why I made this. Megalonyx Jeffersonii is the state fossil in the state I live(West Virginia). It has always interested me and I think it would be a great edition to the game.

As cool as a new creature would be, frankly I would much rather have Wildcard do one more TLC for some of the creatures that need it. My choices for this proposed TLC are as follows: Giganotosaurus: Ark's classic apex predator could use a glow-up, so give it better animations and a new model. A number of people don't see the Giga as being worth the effort to tame as being ultimately a bigger, meaner Rex with a major drawback of "it will kill its rider and allies around it if it takes too much damage". To make the Giga more worth the risk of having them around I'd let tamed Gigas still give the "Gnashed" bleed effect, but either at a nerf from 5% (the amount a wild Giga bleeds for) to 2 or 3% OR make it a secondary attack with a cooldown. I also see some kind of AOE stomp ability similar to that of the Ark Additions Acrocanthasaurus as a nice addition to give the big lad a bit more functionality. Quetzalcoatlus: Let's be honest, the Quetzal kind of sucks, it's slow and difficult to maneuver and the only thing it has going for it is the platform saddle, so while it can be useful to transport a lot of stuff across the map(s) it is painfully slow to do so. It USED to have a decent role as a utility flyer since prior to the Argy TLC it was the only thing that could carry the Anky around to go on metal, oil or obsidian runs. The fact that wild Quetzals never land gives me an idea to make tamed Quetzals better, we solidify the idea of the Quetzal as the enormous winged beast endlessly cruising the skies. First, give it the ability to regenerate stamina without having to land, allowing it to remain aloft indefinitely like its wild counterpart. Second, expand the list of creatures it can carry, the Quetzal in Ark is clearly unrealistically strong, so go a little nuts with it, let the Quetzal pick up anything up to and including the size of a Rex with its grab ability. Finally, to deal with the issue of it being painfully slow without just giving it a raw speed buff, the Quetzal should gain a new passive ability, I'd call it "Cruising Altitude", where upon flying high enough the Quetzal "catches the winds" and gains a large speed boost (somewhere in the realm of 50-80%, the faster fliers like Griffons and Snow Owls should still be able to catch up with it at full dive). And of course, new model and animations, big bird is looking a tad dated. Sabertooth: What is the big cat even for? Besides being a fast mount you can shoot from this thing has nothing going for it. In addition to new model and animations I'd give it a new secondary attack themed around their large sabers being able to inflict massive puncture wounds, which inflicts a "Winded" effect, slowing stamina regen for the target player or creature. Also maybe update their wild AI so they aren't suicidal idiots picking fights with Rexes that they obviously can't win? Anyway that's my 2 cents, I would much rather have current creatures that need updates receive said updates than get a new creature.

Sillosuchus longicervix is a giant hervivorous bipedal dinosaur closely related to crocodilomorphs. The idea i have for this animal is for it to be a giant organic grappeling hook, but with a couple more uses. Sillosuchus would have a extremly long prehensile tongue similar to chameleons, this tongue would be used as a grappleing hook being able to grab onto surfaces, while grabbed onto a surface sillosuchus would be able to move left, right, up or down. The tongue could also grab onto dinosaurs with heavier weight than it, being able to atack them while riding them. The tongue would also be able to grab things with substancially less weight than it, being able to grab them and pull them torwards the sillosuchus. The tongue would have a torpor effect on players and dinosaurs alike, no matter of the weight. Sillosuchus tongue could also be used to grab items or resources, being able to grab things like vegetation including bushes, trees, cacty, etc and also sand and pearls. Sillosuchus would be semi aquatic but it would be slow in the water. Sillosuchus taming would be a little bit similar to dinopithecus. Sillosuchus would spawn in herd of 3 to 4 these being agressive to players and small dinosaurs, they would spawn with 2 or 3 females and one male, to tame sillosuchus you need to kill the females, after this the male will become tamable with torpor. Sometimes colonies of sillosuchus will spawn, having up to 5 females 2 males and 1 matriarch. Matriatchs would be bigger versions of normal females, being the only female of sillosuchus that can be tamable. To tame matriarchs you must kill every other sillosuchus, females and males alike. Sillosuchus (the biggest one)

Draconis Aquarius, otherwise known as the Sea Strider is a large draconic creature that makes its home deep underwater. Growing in sizes comparible to the Megachelon and Mosasaur, Sea Striders are very intelligent carnivores that prefer to prey on Cnidaria, Electrophorus, and Ichthyornis or Pelagornis in the wild. Despite being large and powerful enough to take out a survivor or Ichthyosaurus with ease, Sea Striders actually enjoy the company of docile creatures and friendly survivors, often going out of their way to protect them. When wild, Sea Striders slowly float around near the ocean floor, keeping their massive fin-like wings outstretched while they search for their favorite electrified snacks. While usually docile, they become vicious opponents when attacked, capable of surprising bursts of speed when flapping their fin wings, and delivering powerful bites with their large mouths. Befriending one of these behemoths is easy, but taming one is a different story. If you spend enough time around one and give it some biotoxin, it may allow you to test your worth by mounting it, at which point... You'd better hold on tight. Once mounted, the Sea Strider will rocket towards the surface of the water and break into open flight, causing you to have to steer it away from colliding with things while following prompts to keep it from throwing you off, while it fights against your directional controls. Higher level Sea striders require a higher survivor level to tame, with the minimum level being 60. When tamed, they are powerful water mounts and flyers, capable of a wood and silica pearl harvesting bite, the unique ability to fly and go underwater indefinitely, propel themselves underwater and in the air with wing flaps, glide while flying, and heavy wing attacks that can knock other flyers out of the air or stun creatures underwater. On land, this wing flap functions like a Wyvern wing flap. In the air, they can barrel roll to strike everything around them (but not increase speed), and in the water they can slash with the sharp edges of their wings to bleed attackers or escape from a tuso's grip. Sea Striders are immune to electrocution by Electrophorus, Cnidaria, Voidwyrms, and Electric Prods, while also gaining a damage reduction against the lightning Wyvern. Despite their size, they can't support a platform saddle, and can be ridden unsaddled but do have a special saddle that forms an oxygen bubble around the player, allowing them to breath underwater while mounted. For PvE, this would be an excellent travel and combat mount, as well as a great harvester dino underwater. For PvP, the Sea Striders would also be a great travel and combat mount in the air and water, and could even be used as a soaker underwater thanks to their wings. Along with being their main weapons, the wings recieve 30% less damage from projectiles when underwater, including turrets. Despite being such useful and diverse mounts in the air and water, they don't have any typical limbs or many special abilities they can use on land, which means they're quite slow and clumsy trying to walk or run on their wings and can only use a bite and slow charging wing flap while landed. And that sums it up for the Sea Strider! Hope you like it!

Lythronax Argestes The Gore King In my time here on this island I have observed many genus of creatures ranging from sauropods to chasmosaurine. But of all the magnificent creatures I have seen, none can match the sheer ferocity of the Lythronax Argestes, more commonly known as ‘The Gore King’. This tyrannosaurid shares many similarities with its larger late cousin the T-Rex. Lythronax Argestes also displays many similar behaviors as the T-Rex, usually opting to overpower their prey with their overwhelming size and strength. Do not underestimate The Gore King though, for even despite their size disadvantage they can easily defeat a fully grown Tyrannosaurus Rex. Lythronax Argestes is a lone wolf and rarely is seen socializing with other members of its species. They are extremely aggressive and very territorial. I have even seen two Lythronax attempt to disembowel each other over the carcass of a recently deceased triceratops. The Gore King is not a nickname given lightly, this fierce carnivore deserves every bit of that title. With a bite that can shatter bone and a roar that can knock birds out of the sky, Lythronax Argestes is a true force to reckon with. =================================================================================== Abilities Lythronax Argestes primarily utilizes two main attacks, these being its headbutt and its bite. Lythronax are an easily angered tyrannosaurid, even more so than the T-Rex. When provoked, they will charge their prey at an alarming speed and headbutt their foe with immense force. Once locked onto its prey, there is no stopping a charging Lythronax. Although incredibly powerful, this large carnivore doesn’t have the best turning radius. Once a Lythronax has closed the gap between it and its prey it will enter a frenzy mode with each progressive bite coming faster than the one before it. At the peak of this frenzy, The Gore King has even been seen to rip chunks of meat out of its prey causing the target to bleed profusely. Lythronax are well adapted carnivores and can thrive in most any environment. Although they prefer the warm climate of deserts and dry open grasslands, these large carnivores have been seen sporting large insulated feathers while in colder environments. The deafening roar of the Lythronax is enough to send shivers down the spine of any dino. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the smaller birds and invertebrates of the island. The sheer volume of The Gore King’s roar is enough to kill these small pests and make an excellent mid-morning snack for any Lythronax that comes across them. Although profoundly powerful and aggressive, Lythronax Argestes does feature much in the way of defenses. With a slow turning radius and short stubby arms, Lythronax typically try to keep their adversaries face to face. For Lythronax, the best defense is a good offense. =================================================================================== Taming For any tribe that dares attempt to tame Lythronax Argestes, be warned. The Gore King does not take kindly to being pestered and would much rather have you for lunch than as a friend. In order to tame a Lythronax you must wear it out. Lythronax is not one to draw out conflicts and usually tries to end fights quickly. Once exhausted it will be much easier to handle. After you have managed to tire out a Lythronax you will need to bring it fresh meat. No pre-cut shanks will please The Gore King, for he prefers his dinner very, very raw. When presenting a kill to The Gore King, be sure to approach him from the rear. If he sees you coming he may mistake you for an appetizer. =================================================================================== Tamed Congratulations, you’ve befriended The Gore King! Now that you’ve managed to tame a Lythronax, make sure to be weary of these few notes. DO NOT OVERCROWD A LYTHRONAX (Remember, they have very short tempers. Give them space) NEVER KEEP TOO MANY LYTHRONAX TOGETHER (Too many Lythronax in the same area may spark rivalry.) NEVER FEED HIM FISH MEAT (He’s allergic.)
