  1. Art Commissioned from RiskyBiscuits Name: Chasmosaurus Species: Chasmosaurus Antirupption Time: Cretaceous Temperament: Neutral But Aggressive to Corrupted Wild The Corrupted Creatures of the Wasteland would have killed me if it weren’t for Chasmosaurus. The Large Ceratopsian came charging at the Corrupted without hesitation killing them easily without a care in the world. It also seems to help other creatures that are attacked by the Corrupted, giving almost a morale boost. They only seem to attack Corrupted so maybe one could earn Chasmosaurus Trust by fighting the Corrupted with it. Domesticated If you can tame Chasmosaurus, I’d imagine a Powerful creature that can handle large hordes of Corrupted will be at your disposal. Their large frill might also help soak up large amounts of damage from the front and protect the rider as well. The Morale boost it does in the Wild could work with your other tames as well making them stronger and more resistant to the Corrupted Creatures of our Desolate Planet’s Wastelands… Abilities: Left Click: Head Smash Right Click: Morale Roar C: Roar for Cosmetics Chasmosaurus has large damage reduction & output when fighting Corrupted Creatures When Chasmosaurus kills a corrupted creature, it will gain a buff similar to the Megatherium but for Corrupted Creatures, increasing damage output & resistance for a period of time as long as it kills corrupted creatures. The damage resistance & damage output can also be increased by constantly killing Corrupted Creatures gains stacks similar to the Carcha (Max: 100 stacks) The Morale Roar boosts Ally creatures/survivors with damage output and resistant to Corrupted Creatures Taming: When you see a Wild Chasmosaurus fighting Corrupted Creatures, you must help Chasmosaurus kill them. If you land the final blow, Chasmo will allow you to ride it. From there, it’s similar to Carcha but you only gain taming progress from killing Corrupted Creatures. Taking damage reduces taming effectiveness. Saddle: Lv 60 Pros: Can Kill Corrupted by dealing more damage to them than any other creature & takes reduced damage from them as well, Rex Tier Herbivore when not fighting Corrupted, Damage reduction from Front Cons: Slow, Can not hit creatures behind it/turn fast enough to hit them, Morale Roar only works against Corrupted creatures
  2. Pentaceratops imperialis [Impenetrable Bulwark] Heavy Tanking Herbivore A large ceratopsian with an even larger head, Pentaceratops are quite the sight to see in the wild. Often traveling in tightly knit herds, Pentaceratops are docile to everything except the largest carnivores. Should the herd come under threat by a massive predator, they will lash out aggressively, easily being able to best their foes. When tamed, Pentaceratops serve as an excellent war mount as well as base defense, being able to form sturdy walls should a tribe come into ownership of a group of them. In combat they can employ this skill to form an impenetrable shield wall, allowing their war band to march forward free of threat from enemy guns and cannons. Defensively, these massive beasts can from extensive bulwarks to shield bases and anything their tribe so chooses. Abilities [Passive] Safety In Numbers When in a group of 3 or more, Pentaceratops receives a defense boost [Ability 1] Stance Change Pentaceratops changes stances, as the name implies. There are a total of 4 stances, Bulwark, Marching Wall, Battering Ram, and Neutral. -Neutral: Base wild stance, no stat changes. -Bulwark: Pentaceratops lowers its body to the ground, laying down with it's huge frill acting as a wall blocking incoming damage for the rider and any tames or structures behind its massive frill. While in this stance Pentaceratops cannot move and damage to the head in this stance would heal Pentaceratops and charge up its Battering Ram stance. When in this stance other Pentaceratops may "lock up", forming a very durable wall. -Marching Wall: Pentaceratops lock up in a line formation, their frills forward as they march. Damage is greatly reduced and any damage taken or dealt by Pentaceratops charges up its Battering Ram stance. -Battering Ram: Upon charging its gauge sufficiently, all Pentaceratops in the Bulwark/Marching Wall formation charge forward, entering their offensive stance. Their damage is boosted in this stance, making them a very credible threat. Pentaceratops does increased damage to structures in this stance, making it an excellent frontliner or seige beast. [Ability 2] Taunt Pentaceratops lets out a loud roar, stamping its feet on the ground and shaking its massive frill in a threat display. This taunt would function like the magmasaur, drawing aggro to Penta so it or its allies can finish them off. Attacks [Attack 1] Headbutt Slow headbutt that does heavy damage and knockback. Disabled in Bulwark mode. In Battering Ram this attack does enhanced damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 2] Light Stomp Directional light stomp, light damage and knockback. Disabled in Bulwark mode. [Attack 3] Heavy Stomp A heavy AOE stomp, does heavy damage and little knockback. Disabled in Bulwark and Marching Shield mode. In Battering Ram this attack does enhanced damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 4] Charge Only available in Battering Ram and Neutral mode. Does heavy damage and high knockback. When in Battering Ram this attack does heavy damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 5] Head Sweep Only available in Bulwark and Marching Shield mode. Does little damage and exceptional knockback. Saddles Base Saddle A normal saddle, leather and metal. Pentaceratops is ridden on a seat strapped to the side of its body, allowing the rider to see. Heavy Armor Pentaceratops’s entire front half is covered in plate armor, its horns tipped with long blades, providing exceptional protection and offensive ability. A walled platform rises above the frill, where the rider stands along with up to two other people. In addition, it also makes Pentaceratops immune to most knockback as well as completely nullifying melee damage from the front and boosting damage to structures while reducing movement speed. 4. **NEW & UPDATED ABILITIES! BIG THANKS TO LUUX FOR SUGGESTIONS!** "Good day, Survivors! Today I present to you my submission for the Aberration creature vote, Chasmosaurus luxoscutum!" GENERAL INFORMATION: The real world Chasmosaurus is a medium-sized ceratopsian that lived during the Campanian stage of the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Alberta, Canada. For more info on the real world Chasmosaurus, here's the Wikipedia article so you can read up on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chasmosaurus DOSSIER TRANSCRIPT: Common name: Chasmosaurus Species: Chasmosaurus luxoscutum Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Short-tempered “WILD” “The fauna on this ARK never ceases to amaze me. An example of this can be seen with Chasmosaurus luxoscutum. While not as large or powerful as its cousin Triceratops or even Pachyrhinosaurus, the Chasmosaurus has one trick up its sleeve to set it apart from the rest.” “Since Chasmosaurus has relatively short horns, they aren’t very good at warding off larger predators. To counteract this, they have developed photophores in their frills that they can use to create a large flash of charge light to blind and stun any potential threats. However, this comes at a cost, for it takes a lot of energy to produce such a large quantity of charge light and will leave the Chasmosaurus fairly tired, with barely enough stamina to allow for a quick getaway.” “DOMESTICATED” “Usually residing in the bioluminescent forest, the Chasmosaurus is a very good, well rounded companion to have. They are big enough to ride, can carry around a fair amount, and seem to be immune to the effects of radiation sickness in the lower levels of the caverns. This, as well as their charge light ability has led to several unhinged lunatics to bring these fellas down to the territory of the Reapers in fruitless efforts to tame one. I strongly advise AGAINST this due to the Chasmo’s lack of physical strength.” To quickly summarize, Chasmosaurus luxoscutum essentially serves as a walking charge lantern, being able to release a large burst of charge light to stun enemies in place. It resides in the bioluminescent forests where it feasts on its favorite food, Plant Species Z fruit. Once tamed, the Chasmosaurus proves to be a pretty good companion. It can be ridden, carry a good amount of resources, and is fairly fast as well. If you really play your cards right, it can possibly even be quite useful in the taming process of Reapers. Personally, I wouldn't recommend doing so due to Chasmosaurus's low damage and defensive abilities. Speaking of abilities… OFFENSIVE ABILITIES: Primary Fire: Melee attack - A standard melee attack, alternates between headbutt and back kick if camera is facing backwards; does moderate damage and minor knockback. (NEW) Crouch Button: Light Toggle - Chasmo has two different light themed abilities that it can swap between, Flashbang and Intimidation Display; These abilities do not do physical damage. Alt Fire 1: Flashbang - Releases a large flash of charge light (much like a Plant Species Z fruit or Charge Lantern) to blind and leave enemies in a daze, unable to move for ~10 seconds; long cooldown after use; uses ~60% stamina when used; temporarily gives Nameless and Reapers the "Charged" debuff during the stun duration. Alt Fire 2: Intimidation Display - The Chasmo roars and pulses a hypnotic pattern on it's frill and body to intimidate larger predators such as Spinosaurus and Rock Drakes; decreases aggro radius for aggressive creatures; gives enemies minor damage reduction and defense down for ~20 seconds when within a certain radius of the Chasmo. Jump Button: Precise movement - Hold down to allow for precise rotation to aim the flashbang ability. PASSIVE ABILITIES: (NEW) Battery Charger - Saddle has "charging ports" on it to passively charge batteries while on the move, able to charge 6 at a time Head Shield - 30% damage reduction on headshots. Stamina Tracker - The glowing spots on the side of the Chasmo’s body indicate how much stamina it has left. Adrenaline Rush - Gains a minor speed boost for a few seconds after successfully stunning a threat with the Flashbang. Radiation Immunity - Does not take damage when in the radioactive Element Caverns area. Energy Refuel - Plant Species Z fruits can be used similar to that of a sweet veggie cake where force feeding the Chasmo one will replenish its stamina quicker; cooldown after use. (NEW) Charge Light Synergy - When in the presence of a source of charge light, the Chasmo receives a slight boost to its damage and overall defense ^^^ Beautiful art here done by Lapis Lazuli on Discord. Go show them some love! ^^^ TAMING (NEW TAMING METHOD!): This idea was suggested by Zipperslipper457 (Big thanks!) This new proposed taming method would require you to have a metal shield specifically. When approaching the Chasmosaurus, it will enter a defensive state and begin to flash its intimidation display, during which it will look at you and prepare to flashbang you. Right before it flashes you, bring up your shield to reflect the flash back at the Chasmo. Doing this will stun the Chasmosaurus instead. When it this stunned state, walk up to it and feed it the Plant Species Z fruit/seed. Rinse and repeat until fully tamed. And there you have it! If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read this! It really means a lot. If you liked my silly little ceratopsian, feel free to give it a vote! Good day, survivors!
  5. The early game of Aberration is extremely hazardous so a semi large and quick ceratopsian is the perfect mount to get your bearings and explore the ruined ARK. Proposed Abilities: 1. Intimidator: It has eye spots on its frill that it can use to intimate small predators such as raptors and ravagers by shaking it's head aggressively. 2. Defensive mount: It has a "hunker mode" where styracosaurus crouches down and moves more slowly but your protected from being grabbed or dismounted by the frill covering the player. You have the added bonus of being shielded from plant species z seeds 3. Mobile cooking pot: The saddle acts as a cooking pot so you can craft mushroom brew on the go with the added bonus of the Styracosaurus lowering the weight of aberrations various mushrooms Other attributes: I'd image the Styraco would be more lightly built than the triceratops and can comfortably trot unlike the plodding speed of it's cousin. I'd be open to the idea of Styraco also getting the trikes rivalry buff. Taming: A rather simple task Styracosaurus is often aggressive towards humans but can be calmed by the smell of mushrooms due to it's low browsing nature. Once the ceratopsian smells mushrooms it will drop its guard and will subtlety gesture if it wants to be feed, be careful not to misread the signal or risk angering the creature. Overall I feel that ARK is really lacking in both hadrosaurs and ceratopsians and not only would adding styracosaurus to the game properly rather than a skin to the trike help amend that it would just be great to have an early game mount to keep the raptors and ravagers off you.
  6. (big rideable glow pet) Introducing Kosmoceratops, the Starlight Ceratopsian! Tags: herbivore, ceratopsian, flashbang, support, healer, soaker, seeker allies, armor reduction Credit to Nix Illustration for Design Common Name: Kosmoceratops Species: Kosmoceratops lumitaurus Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: “It’s astonishing how well adapted some of the creatures in these caverns are. Kosmoceratops lumitaurus is the largest creature I’ve discovered thus far that produces that intense bioluminescent charge that keeps Nameless at bay… and attracts a private army of Chimaeram. Great… Whether it be dominance, ego, or just plain fun, these ceratopsians challenge not only other Kosmoceratops, but other threatening species as well, including survivors! They bow down in respect to those who can best them in a one-on-one spar. Any lunatics out there might be able to use this to their advantage.” Domesticated: “After gaining the respect of this starlight behemoth, survivors may find a variety of uses for them. They have a notable amount of durability thanks to their head armor, and they possess a glowing, corrosive saliva that melts through armor thanks to the plants it consumes. I think I’ll not have what they’re having, thank you. A large dinosaur that emits charge that repels Nameless and is immune to high concentrations of radiation makes it an excellent mount to traverse the lower reaches of these caverns. Introduction: Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the flashbang bastion; the Kosmoceratops! The foundational ideas and selling points for this dinosaur include: Role as a mid-game support that can be used in endgame PvP Rideable glow pet Radiation and plant z immunity Ability to heal allies and blind enemies Ability to corrode and highlight enemies with bite attacks I personally think Kosmoceratops, or at the very least this concept, should be added to the game due to an oversaturation of apex predators in the PvP metagame as well as expanding upon one of the most unique (and one of my personal favorite) maps in the game. Ceratopsians in general need a little more love than just Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus. Adding this behemoth would help spice the meta up and give people more reason to play on ARK: Aberration. Wild: Kosmoceratops live in the malfunctioning ARK’s bio-luminescent marshlands and molten element canyons, being the only large herbivore found in the latter zone. They can spawn on their own or in herds of up to three members. They are naturally territorial, and will tend to gang up on large carnivores that pose a threat to them. Kosmoceratops tend to be more aggressive in these herds, so it is highly advised to avoid them whenever possible. While on their own they are still a force to be reckoned with, they behave in a slightly different manner… Like glow pets, Kosmoceratops produce a constant aura of charge which can repel Nameless and attract Seekers. Seekers aren’t naturally hostile towards these dinosaurs, respecting them as a source of food, and will typically assist them in combat. When low on health, the ceratopsian can emit a blinding light from its frill and horns to disorient threats before speeding away. Taming Process: To be tamed, this dinosaur must be separate from any herd or any Seekers. Having aggroed the herd prior won’t trigger the process. Once isolated, the process will begin when the Kosmoceratops performs an animation, blinking its frill lights and kicking up the dirt. The dinosaur is challenging you to a one-on-one spar. The frill constantly pulsating light faintly is a sign the Kosmo is undergoing the taming process. If any other creature or survivor interferes, regardless of friend or foe, the taming bar will return to 0. After dealing 75% of the dinosaur’s total health in the battle, it will bow down in exhaustion. Step forward and claim your reward. Tamed: Congratulations! You’ve successfully tamed a Kosmoceratops! Now with this bioluminescent barbarian in your hands, life in the caverns of the aberrant ARK should be much more convenient. Actions: Primary Attack (, , ): Click: A sweeping head attack with noticeable knockback. The Kosmoceratops can turn 180-degrees if looking backward. Hold: A charged bite attack that increases in damage the longer it is held. This bite leaves a unique status induced by the dinosaur’s saliva, which corrodes its way through health, armor, and even metal structures. The saliva itself is also bioluminescent, highlighting bitten enemies with a bright light that friends and foes can see. The duration of this status also scales with the attack’s wind up time. Secondary Attack (, , ): The range of this move scales with Charge Range / Melee Damage. Click: A violent flash of light erupts from the dinosaur’s frill, inducing the same effect as plant z fruit. This requires a large amount of charge to use. Hold: The ceratopsian’s light creates an aura of healing in front of itself, acting like the animal equivalent of a plant z. It heals at around the same rate, though drains charge fast. Taunting Roar (Click C, , ): The Kosmoceratops’s roar taunts wild and tamed creatures like a Magmasaur. However, its own defenses and damage are increased. Crouch (Press Space, , ): The Kosmoceratops hunkers down into a defensive state, taking significantly reduced damage at the cost of not being able to attack or move much at all. Passive Abilities: Charge Light: Kosmoceratops essentially operates like a giant, rideable glow pet! Much like the Bulbdog and its peers, Kosmoceratops’ stats also upgrade its charge light capabilities. Stamina correlates with Charge Capacity, Oxygen with Charge Regeneration, and Melee Damage with Charge Range. You can activate the charge light while mounted in the same way lifesteal can be enabled while riding a Desmodus. Batteries can also be charged within the dino’s inventory like a charge station, though at a slower rate. Seeker Symbiosis: Seekers will gather around Kosmoceratops, but won’t attack them or their rider. They instead become allies, attacking threats that get too close to their food source. Damage-to-Head Reduction: Like the Triceratops, the Kosmoceratops possesses damage reduction on its head, though not as effective. Gathering: Kosmoceratops can gather berries and minerals fairly well with its bite. However, it is most proficient at gathering element ore, and one of the best tools to mine the resource. Immunities: Kosmoceratops are immune to the effects of radiation and plant z fruits. Turn in Place: While not moving, a Kosmoceratops can turn to the direction the rider is facing similarly to Spinosaurus. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: Kosmoceratops are great for traversing the caverns of the aberrant ARK, though lacking a solid turn while sprinting. Riders can wander on Kosmo back to farm for rare materials in the lower reaches of the blue and red zones with their radiation immunity and charge light. Reapers and Nameless are repelled by their light, and Seekers are attracted to it, though becoming temporary allies with the dinosaur and their rider. Kosmoceratops are one of the best ways to retrieve Rock Drake eggs early on before getting replaced by Rock Drakes themselves for that niche. PvP: This ceratopsian is designed as a support class along with the likes of Daeodons, Yutyrannus, and Snow Owls. They aren’t very good at dealing a lot of damage, and they are far from the tankiest creature in the game. By blinding, highlighting, and taunting enemies and healing allies, the Kosmoceratops provides essential aid that could bring favor to a matchup, even if the dinosaur itself isn’t directly fighting. It also acts as a good soaker with the damage reduction it gets from its taunt, crouch, and head armor. Chargelight invalidates the presence of Reapers, removing more danger from potential confrontations. The lack of damage output is their greatest weakness, not being nearly as strong as other creatures of its size class. It lacks the tools to completely defend its blindspots, especially from faster tames like Deinonychus, Thylacoleos, and fliers. Conclusion: Outside of the obvious Triceratops comparisons, Kosmoceratops lacks much overlap in terms of utility and niche in a tribe’s roster. A very complex and strong creature, but balanced out by notable weaknesses that ensure it doesn’t usurp other dinos. It has been a while since we’ve gotten a creature designed to be a support in PvP, so I hope this works out for that niche! Have fun, survivors! References (Accurate & Inaccurate):
  7. (Rough doodle by Me) Pentaceratops, a massive ceratopsian with an even larger head. High health and high damage, this beast of a tame would allow its rider and anything behind it to go unscathed from the front, but remember to watch your rear as you would still be exposed to enemy attacks. Its heavily keratinized face allows P. imperialis to take little to no damage from attacks to its head, making it the perfect frontliner for a siege on a base or a boss fight. Along with this Pentaceratops could have a taunt like that of the magmasaur, drawing aggro so allies may finish off targets. Ability 1: Stance change As the name implies, this would be a stance change. Think something like how Amarga can change its spikes. These stances would be shown via a change in color on markings on its frill. Defensive Stance: Pentaceratops lowers its massive head, blocking incoming damage for the rider and any tames behind its massive frill. While in this stance its movement speed is greatly decreased, while its turning circle is reduced greatly, allowing it to keep its head to the enemy. Damage to the head in this stance would heal Pentaceratops for a fraction of what the damage value was, so keep that in mind when fighting these beasts. While in this stance its attacks would deal increased knockback and decreased damage, letting it create space for allies. Offensive Stance: Pentaceratops swings its head forward, its massive beak and horns ready to attack. In this stance Pentaceratops deals increased damage, but also takes increased damage, so use it sparingly. Movement speed in this stance is increased, with its turning circle being increased as well. Neutral Stance: No stat changes, base wild stance. Ability 2: Back Kick/180* swipe Since Pentaceratops woud be fairly vulnerable from behind, it only makes sense that it should have an answer to this. While in Defensive Stance, Pentaceratops would have a back kick. This attack would deal very little damage along with moderate knockback. While in Offensive Stance Pentaceratops gains a 180 degree swipe, this ability would have a significant cooldown as the drawback of offensive stance is the very wide turn radius, but would allow for Penta to get a pesky rex on its rear end if needed. This attack would deal heavy damage and perhaps apply a wound to the target. Ability 3: Taunt Pentaceratops lets out a loud roar, stamping its feet on the ground and shaking its massive frill in a threat display. This taunt would function like the magmasaur, drawing aggro to Penta so it or its allies can finish them off. Other Proposals; AKA Stuff I thought of but am iffy on Stomp: Would function like other stomps in the game, dealing high damage and some knockback. Indimidating roar: Much like Yutyrannus, this roar would scare off animals the same size and smaller than Penta. Platform Saddle: Maybe give it a platform saddle, I can live without this though.
  8. Hello surviors i would like to introduce you to the Eotriceratops. The Eotriceratops is a strong mid game tame but could also be used later game. This ceratopcyan is larger then more famous counterpart the triceratops. Unlike the triceratops this creature dosen't have as much bulk despite being larger, but it is made up for with the Eotriceratops increased damage. WILD - When wild the Eotriceratops is a calm and gentle creature but if you get on its bad side they'll be hell to pay. The eotriceratops will remember your survivor and when spotted will go out of its way to ruin your day. When in its herd of 2-4 they have a increased defensive bonus that scales the more eotriceratops are in the herd, the defensive bonus you gain stops increasing at 4 eotriceratops. With this buff and their good memory if given time to prepare the eotriceratops may lay siege on your tribe in order to settle a score in an envision type event. TAMED - When tamed the Eotriceratops are very loyal and noble creatures that will risk their own life in order to save their master for they see them as part of the herd. The buff they receive in the wild still applies to when tamed, making them a formidable ally for your tribe and with the ability to dig up the ground and pick up boulders and fallen logs and use them as weapons to fend off foes makes them a strong offense dino. The Eotriceratops will also have a stomp ability where they rear up on their back legs and slam back down in a powerful attack that blows back opponents and stuns them briefly. And with the passive ability called "Protection" You are protected from all those dismounting creatures such as the Microraptor or Thylacoleo. When immense danger is uppon its master and the eotriceratops is below 6% health and almost dead it will pull the agro of the attacking creature, fighting till the end in order to save its masters life. TAMING - There are two taming methods for the Eotriceratops one being where you passively feed it honey because these big creatures have a sweet tooth. But feeding it honey will also send it into a hyper frenzy and it will try to attack you in order to get more honey from you. The second method is you have to jump onto the back of the eotriceratops and try to tame it down by showing your dominance almost like the equus or andrewsarchus but to do it this way you must kill the other eotriceratops or they will attack you off and ruin your taming. CREATORS NOTE - Even if i dont get in top ten i had a fun time designing this creature to help the survivors conquer the world of ragnarok and i hope you all had a fun time reading it!
  9. Greetings Survivors! For this submission, the small, but dangerous Psittacosaurus vexoplectris make it's grand return to the submission forums to prove that you don't have to be a giant brute to save a life! DOSSIER TRANSCRIP: Common name: Psittacosaurus Species: Psittacosaurus vexoplectris Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Defensive Wild: "Going off of its small size, You would expect that Psittacosaurus vexoplectris would be an easy meal for most smaller predators. But to my surprise, many of the carnivores in the desert avoid it. This is because this little critter has a few tricks up its sleeve." "Psittacosaurs possess very acute senses of smell, hearing and sight which allows them to evade predators very efficiently. In the event a threat gets too close, they can shoot off their toxic quills to deter them. While the toxin in these quills is not deadly, it does greatly irritate the skin and nervous system." Domesticated: "A tamed Psittacosaurus can be the difference between life and death for a survivor. It is able to spot ambushing predators from afar and alert its owner of the nearby threat. I've also heard that these creatures can even sniff out rare resources from under the desert sand." IN-GAME INFO: In life, Psittacosaurus is a small, Early Cretaceous ceratopsian found in several parts of Asia such as China, Mongolia, Russia, and Thialand. The ARK version is a desert-dwelling cactus cruncher that can perch on your shoulder. In the wild, you will often find Psittacos gathered in groups of about 4-5 individuals. The highest level of the group will be the "scout" for the group, serving as look out for the others. Whenever there is a threat, the scout will let out a call to alert the rest of the herd and give them the chance to escape while the scout stands guard to deter the threat by shooting its toxic quills. When the quills make contact with skin, it causes smaller animals such as Raptors, Direwolves and Terror Birds to retreat in pain. TAMING: In order to tame a Psittacosaurus, you'll need two key components: -a shield -Cactus Sap. 1.) First, you want to find a herd of Psittacos and begin to slowly approach the Scout. (It'll have a Pack Leader Glow around it, so you'll know which one it is) 2.) Then, you want to bring up your shield as the Scout enters its "Defensive Position" (it gets on all fours and raises its tail up, there will be about a 2-3 second grace period before it shoots) 3.) After shooting its quills, the Psittaco will enter its "tired state". it'll have its head and tail lowered and will be visibly panting. when in this state, feed it the cactus sap. 4.) Repeat Steps 1-3 untill tamed. Enjoy your new buddy! ABILITIES: Once tamed, your Psittacosaurus has quite a few abilities in its arsenal. -Bite: Simple bite attack. Nothing more, nothing less -Quill Shot: When either on your shoulder or on the ground, you can enable "Quill Shot Targeting". This allows the Psittaco to fire its quills at potential threats in a specific range (can be altered with its targeting range.) -Vocal Mimicry: Since the quills don't do much to larger animals, the Psittacosaurus is able to mimic the aggro sound of nearby large predators such as Rexes and Yutyrannus to alert you. PASSIVE ABILITIES: -Rare Resource Gathering: If placed on the terrain, the Psittacosaurus has a small chance to randomly dig up rare resources such as Pearls from the sand. -Repellant Darts: Psittacosaurus will passively produce a substance simply called "Psittacosaurus Toxin" which can be used to create Repellant Darts, which are made by combining a Tranquilizer Dart and the Psittaco Toxin. The darts can be fired from a Longneck Rifle and used on most creatures. the larger the creature, the more required to force hostile creatures to retreat. -Repellant Darts do NOT work on the following creatures: -Giganotosaurus -Carcharodontosaurus -Titanosaur -Brontosaurus -Extinction Titans -Alpha Dinos -Bosses And there you have it! Thank you for your reading! If you like this idea, feel free to give it a vote. It would really make my day if you did! 10. I think for a mythology-based map, this creature is very much an obvious candidate for this vote. Plus, we haven’t gotten a proper ceratopsian in a longggg time. So, here’s my suggestion. Medusaceratops’ namesake is the Greek gorgon that can turn people to stone. So how about we make it so Medusaceratops can secrete a pheromone, kind of like the pachyrhinosaurus, but after a long time exposure, it turns you to stone. If a creature is exposed to little amounts of this chemical, it would just cause a simple stun or slow effect for a short duration, but the longer that it is exposed, the more it begins to be enveloped by its rocky tomb. This could create a cool, but morbid way to get some creature-statues that players could pull around with the Medusaceratops saddle, which could have a cart or something attached, and create a unique way for players to decorate or intimidate. If this idea seems too overpowered, we could look at Medusaceratops’ other namesake, Loki. This Norse god is known as the trickster god, so Medusaceratops could possibly have some illusions it could bestow upon players via these chemicals. Perhaps it could trick players or other creatures into thinking they’re just another trike, or something more fearsome. Some other trick based suggestions would be awesome if anyone has some. Either way, I think this Cretaceous cousin to the Triceratops would be a perfect fit for the Ragnarok map.
  11. ASK ME FIRST BEFORE USING MY ART IN OTHER MEDIA Udanoceratops is a massive and very ornery leptoceratopsid, surprisingly this animal surpasses it’s true ceratopsian cousins in both size and rage. Udano is a desert dwelling specialist able to eat and gorge on the cacti and tough vegetation however it’s bite is strong enough to crush boulders and not surprisingly the bones of anything that dares to challenge it. It’s physically quite dense and cannot swim however it can sprint and jump underwater similar to a hippopotamus. In the wild they inhabit deserts and mountainous regions, able to easily shrug off attacks from even rexes it’s comfortably at home in this inhospitable environment. Once tamed Udano is a vicious muscular tank that can shrug off many attacks, in addition it’s powerful bite is strong enough to breach even the most heavily armored vaults and bases. Being able to crunch through rock like a mining tool and reasonably crumple metal, a tribe with an Udano is a wealthy one. In addition some tribes have rigged powerful harpoon turrets to it’s backside, allowing it to be protected when boring through an enemy tribe’s base. Additionally it is excellent for shrugging off attacks from bio electric animals such as jellyfish and eels, having a thick impenetrable hide that resists unfortunate zapping. Overall Udanoceratops is a powerful and incredibly useful creature to have around and will help any tribe survive the harshest environments. Overview of Udanoceratops: -A powerful bite capable of breaking bones, rocks, and metal structures -A heavy body incapable of swimming but very capable of running underwater - Reduced attack damage from carnivores - A harpoon turret that can shoot both harpoons and nets at targets behind it -Ability to consume and subsist off of cactus -A thick hide which protects it from electrical attacks from jellyfish, eels, and lighting wyverns. Taming and other features: - Udanoceratops is tamed via cactus broth and a ghillie suit, Udano is aggressive towards players in the wild so be careful when trying to tame. -Udano can gather materials such as salt and sulfur with ease and has a weight reduction to both. -Udano deals full damage to Rock Elementals -Udano is too heavy to be picked up by wyverns and Quetzals but not by Rhyniognatha. Udanoceratops is one of my favorite animals and it definitely deserves a spot amongst the other fabulous creatures in Ark, it’s bizarre and incredibly unique and it’s just a big goober:) The artwork is an unfinished piece of these two giant brutes clashing done by me, it’s a lot of fun doing these votes and may the best vote win. One last thing I wanted to add was this spectacular Arkified Udanoceratops done by ArtSaturator, it’s some really fantastic work.
  12. Species : Nasutoceratops tauricórniscurrus Time : Late Cretaceous Temperament : battleaxe Wild Nasutoceratops tauricórniscurrus is big size herviore which can stand against same size carnivore like rex, found in wide plain and redwood forest. This dinosaur have interesting a couple of horn and thick skin. These stigma make they can fight ark's many carnivores and extreme enviroment. Nasutoceratops makes pack and follow their alpha which is very experienced in pack, fight or defence against their enemy under alpha's order but that means they are scattered when alpha is neutralized. If you want to tame, don't miss that chance. Domesticated If you taming enough Nasutoceratops, they'll make pack and you can get your own army. Your strongest entity will be choosen alpha in their pack, it means under alpha, pack's members more strong and hard. When Nasutoceratops is stimulated, using deadly big horn to enchase enemys body that makes cant move and bleeding and holding out enemy's attack. Also they are good land transport, their strong muscles make possible to carry a lot of load. Taming Taming Nasutoceratops is similar Dinopithecus, except a few case Nasutoceratops always make pack. That means their experienced entity always have alpha buff and also pack buff these buffs makes alpha isnt fainted. If you want to tame you have to show their pack you are stronger than their alpha, if you decrease alpha's HP under 50%, pack's member will run away from alpha that means you can stun alpha and pack's member. Ability Left click : pierce horns to enemy Charge left click : pierce horns deeply to enemy's body, this attack make bleeding(like stego) and cant move. Right click : Nasutoceratops change stance and stand firm, in this stance Nasutoceratops not knock back and stuned, decrease damage 70%. Also Nasutoceratops charge gauge from enemy's attack, when gauge full charged, Nasutoceratops can launch very strong attack. C button : Alpha Nasutoceratops can howl, this howl make pack's members HP regenerative power increase and turning, moving speed. (normal Nasutoceratops can howl but cant give buff) Alpha buff : Increase melee 20%, decrease damage 40% Pack buff : Increase melee 15%, decrease damage 25% Basic ability : Decrease damage from Nasutoceratops head(same trike and pachy), decrease weight almost natural resource and structure. Thank you for read this submission, written by my poor english..

But once survivors finally realized they are not same some of them began to hate it because they live mostly near water and wont let survivors go get a drink. Even when survivors are succeed to get a bottle of water they still can get ambushed by them from water because Udanoceratops can both walk and swim. Survivors are not the only ones suffering from udanos being mean but the kaprosuchus and some of other small and medium sized creatures well. Sometimes they even will take some of herbivores as foes. 14. Archaeoceratops Falliciter This skittish little herbivore spends its days foraging for silk to make its nest. It posesses a variety of astonishing abilities, and able to deal with creatures much larger than itself. It is often mistaken for a baby ceratopsian, and at its call triceratops, morellatops and pachrhinosaurus rush to defend it. This call can buff tamed pachyrhinos, morellatops and trikes and make wild ceratopsians defend you. It is more efficient than any tool at harvesting silk, making this vital desert resource easier to obtain before heat kills new survivors. It also scares off attacking herbivores with a scream and flash of its frill. Additionally it is a cute shoulder pet. It has other abilities not in the dossier. It can force ichthyornis and pegomastax to disgorge stolen food and weapons using its scream. The scream also causes microraptors and compys to flee. Its silken nests (craftable in its inventory) are great at insulating eggs! Perfect for raising wyverns. So how do you tame one? Well, it prefers crops, then mejoberries, then berries like any herbivore, but appreciates silk most of all. It is a passive tame, but will call for help if you get too close. What makes this good for scorched earth? SE is fraught with dangerous creatures, so having something that can call for backup is the difference between life and death. Early game, silk is somewhat hard to get, despite how important it is for staying cool. Also, placing a crap ton of torches or AC units looks unappealing, so a compact nest does the trick instead and has better aesthetic taste. Real life comparison: Archaeoceratops in real life was known as Archaeoceratops Oshimai, but Falliciter (trickster) better represented what it would do in game. It was discovered on the silk road expedition and thus its silk-related abilities. See the relevant wikipedia page for info concerning the real life creature: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archaeoceratops Regarding the buff, triceratops, morellatops, and pachyrhinosaurus will have their damage doubled, their speed and damage resistance increased by 50%, and a 10% increase in oxygen. The damage resistance does stack on top of the triceratops carnvivore buff.
  15. Name: Protoceratops andrewsi Time Period: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild A smaller cousin of the Triceratops, the Protoceratops is a hornless dinosaur that has expertly survived the dune seas of the Paleozoic era. While smaller yet nimbler, it is not a threat to take likely, as the Protoceratops jaw is powerful enough to break the bones of smaller dinosaurs or even human survivors. A small herd, they are known to be a pest towards even larger carnivorous dinosaurs should they mob up on one. They are very aggressive for little guys, so its best to approach one while on a bigger animal. Domesticated While they can be tamed, its no easy feat. Protoceratops are naturally aggressive and will attack on sight to protect each other. However, it seems they can be pacified with cactus broth, as the hydration will dull out their aggression, allowing you to come a bit closer without being bitten to ride them around, and proceed to feed them before they become aggressive again. Once tamed, a substantial amount of these hornless dinosaurs will pose a mob threat as they will prevent the enemy from escaping, making their foes limp to be subdued. They are also masters at speeding through the sandstorms, as they need to seek shelter, persistent to get comfortable. If a Protoceratops were to charge a crippled enemy, they would take a higher amount of damage. Feel free to suggest anything else.
  17. Dossier Species: Styracosaurus Fortitudo Wild: I have heard tales of the Styrachosaurus during my travels through the desert, and having encountered a heard of them in the wild I can safely say that the stories are all true. This ceratopsid, despite being smaller than Triceratops, is remarkably strong and hardy! I've seen a juvinile dislodge a fallen rock three times its size to unblock a stream, knock over tree for a morning snack, and even overturn a small house just to get to the roots under the foundation, nothing seems to slow this stocky creature down! Even local predators seem to stay clear, out of fear of getting gored on its enlongated nasal horn, or perhaps this animal's mere presance is enough to encourage them to give this otherwise docile herbivore a wide berth? Domesticated: They may be short in stature, but their high weight tolerance and strong will make them ideal companions for hauling resources through the hot sands of this hellscape. Their spiky horns are a natural repeleant for smaller predators, and even if a battle was not avoidable it is more than capable of holding its own. The only downside to taming a Styracosaurus i would say, is... Cleaning up the mess after said battle. Be it rain, sun, or sandstorm, Styracosaurus is loyal to the very end. Taming: Interstingly, the styracosaurus in the wild is surprisibly shy around humans. But they can be swayed with its favorite food of Cacti. although you can knock it out if the need arises, though Survivors have seen much more sucess simply by hand feeding the animal. Just don't make any sudden moves, less you frighten it away. In game: Yes I know there's already a Skin (and a mod) for Styracosaurus. But Two things. Firstly We don't know if the model for said skin is even going to be in the remaster, or what skins will make it over at all for that matter. And Two, I'm yet to see any word that Kraken will port over their mod to the remaster. and even if they did we still got issue one to deal with in the fact we might not have the OG model to work with anymore. So I'm making this suggestion for the vote (doubt it will get far, kiddos don't like herbivores). My idea for Styracosaurus is for it to have an absurd amount of weight reduction, As I'm not entirely sure if anything in Scorched earth has it... and if there is then there's not many of them. It will also have a Charge attack like the Trike, but ublike our three horned friend, Styracosaurus will inflict bleed instead of knockback. This will become more potent on larger foes, and because why not it can also stack. It will be ridable, but the majority of its stats will be less than that of trikes, even being smaller in size. And as the dossier suggests, it's a passive tame, it will feed on cacti (or just the sap if not possible to add a new plant) to soften up to the one taming it, but survviors can't run or have too high movement speed or else it will scamper off, it CAN be knocked out (and tamed though such means like the diplo) but it will aggro if attacked. Also, I'd like to add that we have only TWO ceratopsians, in a game that has an unhealthy obsession with carnivore submissions that either "HAVE TO BE BIGGER THAN T-REX luls", Are identical to another creature, or already ARE a well known modded creature. We already had like 4 carnivores added in a row, let the veggi eaters have a turn in the spotlight.
