abilities: m1 bleed effect, m2 charged bite attack that builds more damage the longer it's held (with a pack of 4 max.) You gain 15% bonus damage reduction, speed, and attack boost. While holding shift, you can leap out of the water to gain a huge amount of distance. To be tamed, you would have to ride on its back for a certain amount of time. It'll eat out of your hot bar but will not gain taming effectiveness; it'll prevent it from eating you (they spawn in packs, so beware if you're solo). To breed, they'd act like your average dino on land; they just lay their eggs in the sand like modern-day sea turtles. That's all. Please vote for Dakosaurus if you find it cool for the center. ❤️😄

ARK Survival Dossier: Pouakai Creature Name: Pouakai (Hieraaetus moorei) Description: pouakai is a formidable avian predator that has adapted to thrive in the swampy regions of ARK. This majestic creature boasts a stunning appearance with feathers specially designed to endure the hostile environment. In some of these legends, pouakai kill and eat humans. The myth may refer to the real but now extinct Haast's eagle: the largest known eagle species Appearance: pouakai is a large bird of prey, standing tall with an impressive wingspan. Its plumage is a striking blend of earthy tones, with dark hues providing excellent camouflage within the swamp. The distinctive feature of the Hast Eagle is its unique feather structure, which hardens over time due to the exposure to the deadly Plant Species X. These reinforced feathers grant it the ability to withstand the toxic effects of the plant while flying through the dense vegetation unharmed. Abilities: Swift Flight: pouakai is an expert flyer, capable of swift and agile movements in the air. It can swiftly traverse the swampy terrain, evading threats and hunting down its prey with precision. Toxic Resistance: Thanks to its hardened feathers, pouakai gains a remarkable resistance to the toxic spores of Plant Species X. This ability enables it to safely fly near or even through areas saturated with these dangerous plants. Diving and Fishing: pouakai has adapted to hunting in the water as well as in the air. With its keen eyesight and precise control during flight, it can spot prey swimming in the swamp's waters and dive in swiftly to snatch them from the surface. Egg Thief: pouakai has developed a unique skill for locating and snatching eggs from hard-to-reach nests. Survivors can command the pouakai to search for nests hidden in precarious locations, such as cliff edges or high tree branches. The creature's natural dexterity allows it to carefully grab eggs without damaging them. Aerial Abduction: In the wild, the pouakai is known for its ability to lift other creatures and survivors into the air. Once airborne, it can carry them to its nest or other vantage points to protect its territory or use them as a bargaining chip against potential threats. Behavior: pouakai are known to be territorial and fiercely protective of their nests and young. While they may seem aloof and graceful in their aerial maneuvers, they can become highly aggressive when provoked or threatened. Taming: Taming a pouakai requires a stealthy approach. Survivors must locate a wild pouakai's nest and carefully obtain an egg without alerting the creature. Once an egg is in their possession, they can incubate it and gain the trust of the newly hatched Eaglet. The taming process involves raising and nurturing the Eaglet, providing it with food and protection until it matures into a loyal companion. Note: Approaching a wild pouakai and stealing its egg should be done with utmost caution. They are known to be formidable foes, and provoking them without proper planning may lead to dire consequences. The Dossier says Hast Eagle because the legend is based from this creature and wildcard requires that it is a real world creature but Poukai sounds way better for ark https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poukai

Platecarpus: Speed Demon of the Sea and Bleeder
OverRannus posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Platecarpus is a small Mosasaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous around 20 feet long. I have no pictures or real ideas for the animal except three, It would be the fastest aquatic and be a deinonychus of the sea and Thermal Vision as they are closely related to monitor lizards. Plus, a taming method where you have to passively feed it Ammonite Pheromones. And that is basically it. Any other Ideas to add on will be happily used and the person who gave it will be thanked it the replies. Please look at Wikipedia for references of this creature. -
Anqingosaurus - Your Friendly Neighborhood Tongue-Swinger.
Beamstalk44 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Anqingosaurus Brevicephalus was one of the oldest known chameleons. While I did take liberties from other creatures(such as Drepanosaurus, and Jackson's Chameleon) I really liked the named Anqingosaurus(my assumed pronunciation is “An-king-go-saurus") Anqingosaurus will be the 5th shoulder-pet on Aberration however, it will not function like the other 4 as it will not be a glow-pet. It will have bioluminescence, but will function more like the aberrant variant creatures. If it wins it will also be the only shoulder-pet that has won a creature vote(I'm not including Sinomacrops since it technically got disqualified) The purpose of the Anqingo is to essentially turn you into spider-man but also has some extra perks, including increasing mutation percentages! I'm aware that the bloodstalker exists. However, I always felt that, while it was fun, I wanted to be able to be on the ground while utilizing a tech like this, I wanted it to feel more personal. It will work as the creature variant of the Grappling Hook, Whip, HL-NA, as well as being an upgraded ghillie suit/personal rock drake(which will act as a slight parasaur counter). However, while I do want it to stand out I do not want it to overshadow some of these items. It is also going to be an endgame creature so utilizing the grappling hook and whip early-mid game would still be somewhat essential. Location: Anqingo would spawn in the Bioluminescent Region, more specifically the Luminous Marshlands. You will find it on trees. It will be a rare spawn and very hard to find due to its camouflage. Taming: It is a passive tame and you need to approach it slowly with a rock drake, shadowmane, desmodus, or have another anqingo. After approaching the creature while invisible, it will notice you and a slight mini game will start, during this process it will change to one of 3 colors. Green, Blue, and Red. When it turns to one of these 3 colors you will need to hop off your mount and approach it slowly to give it one of the 3 gems, respective to the color it turns. Once tamed you can pick it up and it will cling to your arm. While clinged to you it will embed the hook on the end of its tail into your neck. This will link your nervous system to the Anqingo, much like a Bloodstalker. Controls : (Note: the Anqingo will function as a "weapon", meaning when swapped to an item you will not be able to utilize the Anqingos abilities) R/Square/X: cycles through the "modes" of the Anqingo. Indicated by the Anqingo changing to 1 of the 3 colors. Left Ctrl/R1/RB: Melee. Using the 3 horns of the Anqingo you will stab a target, causing a minor bleed effect. (Note: This can be done with any mode) Green(Camouflage/Stat reader mode): M1/R2/RT: Stat reader. This will work just like HL-NA. M2/L2/LT: Camouflage While you are not moving - you will be invisible, this will function like a rock drake, not a shadowmane, you will still have a silhouette. During this effect you are immune to "tracking" abilities, such as the parasaurs alarm mode(note: you can still be spotted by the scan, you are only immune to the passive) While moving - you are no longer invisible but it will reduce the aggro range of other creatures, similar to a ghillie suit(effects do not stack). Blue(movement mode): M1/R2/RT: The Anqingo will grab onto a surface you are looking at with its tongue. Using movement while latched will swing you in that direction, similar to bloodstalker. (While latched)Holding M1/R2/RT: Will rapidly send you towards that surface. (Note: it has a farther reach than grappling hooks, but a shorter reach than bloodstalkers) (While latched)Space/X/A or X/R3/RS: Unlatches (While latched)M2/L2/LT: unreels M2/L2/LT: Aims Red(Attack mode): M1/R2/RT: this will act as a whip, grabbing items, unbounding bolas, causing flyers to drop you. M2/L2/LT: this will grab smaller creatures and hold them in place(does not work on survivors). Once a creature is grabbed you can reel them in or out with a primary/secondary button respectively. If you use this on titanomyrma, meganeura, or insect swarms it will automatically reel them in and eat them. These same bugs will also be highlighted. Lastly, if you approach a creature and hold Left Ctrl/Square/X: you can attach the Anqingo to this creature. This will double the mutation chances of that creature's offspring. Thank you for your consideration. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anqingosaurus https://animalia.bio/anqingosaurus-brevicephalus (Drepanosaurus) (Jackson’s Chameleon)- 6 replies

General Info: Sauropelta was a nodosaurid dinosaur from Eatly Cretaceous North America. At around 20ft long and weighing 2 tons, this heavily armored dinosaur is most recognizable by its large spikes protruding from its neck and its long spiked tail. Ark Info: Common Name: Sauropelta Species: Sauropelta crepitus (crepitus is Latin for “explosion”) Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Of all the unique and bizarre creatures of this sunken world, Sauropelta crepitus is a somewhat nice chance of pass. It’s nice to finally see an animal that I can recognize from the fossil record. This herbivore is a distinct cousin of the Ankylosaurus and is also covered in heavy armored plates and spikes. However, what distinguishes Sauropelta from its relative is its lack of a tail club and the large row of spikes that run down its sides from the back of its head to its shoulders. I’ve seen few predators dare attack this spiky tank with legs, but those that do soon realize the mistake they have made. Sauropelta’s spikes are so sharp that simply bumping into one can cause deep and painful cuts. And if that wasn’t bad enough, it has the uncanny ability to “shed” this spikes on command, firing what are essentially knives in all directions at any attacker. These spikes can cut through the toughest of hide and pierce most kinds of armor. If this doesn’t deter the predator, Sauropelta has one more trick up its sleeve. By laying down on the ground and covering its legs, its armored back makes it untouchable by most predators and weaponry. Definitely not an herbivore you want to make made. Sauropelta has developed a taste for the many different types of mushrooms that grow in these giant caves. These beast are immune to the spores of even the deadliest of mushrooms and can detect them using their ken sense of smell. They absolutely love them! However, their love of the strange fungi makes them blind to danger. I’ve seen the predators of theses caves take advantage of the situation and catch these usually untouchable creatures off guard. Domesticed: How a survivor would even get close enough to one of these dinosaurs to domesticate it amazes me. It seems certain tribes have also used Sauropelta’s love of mushrooms to their advantage just like the carnivores have. By guarding the armored creature from incoming threats seems to gain the animals trust. Guide it to more patches of its favorite food and eventually, this spiky beast will become your new best friend. Although it can’t break through rocks like the Ankylosaurus, Sauropelta is an amazing animal for a survivor to have at their side. Its high carry weight make it a great beast of burden. Although it can be a bit slow, it still makes for an excellent travel companion in theses underground caverns. It’s ability to find mushrooms to make it vital if one hopes to avoid the deadly spores. Its spikes make it a very sought after mount as well. I’ve seen survivors keep a few Sauropelta around the outside of their homes to keep would be predators at bay. They have also learn that by making the dinosaur fire its spikes at the ground around it, they can create a protective layer of spikes around themselves. The spikes will cut through any creature that dares to get too close. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sauropelta would be a mid to late game tame with good weight, good damage, high health but low stamina and speed. Players would tame them by leading the dinosaur to patches of mushrooms and protect it from predators while it eats. Its spikes would cause bleed if the Sauropelta is attacked or if it’s attacking and enemy. The dinosaur also has the ability to shoot it spikes off its back similar to the Amargasaurs spikes that cause AOE damage around it. It would also have a turret mode were it will both act as a spiked wall and fire it’s spikes at targets. (All images are from Wikipedia)
