  1. Dossier Wild As if this place couldn't get any worse today i have discovered a new species - Lythronax interemptor, a very large and powerful therapod roaming the wastes These predators are fierce, larger than the likes of a Rex or Spino, but smaller than a Giga and Carchar, these beasts live up to the title of Gore King, covered in Spikes makes them lethal both Defensively and Offensively, pair that with their razor sharp teeth they use to rip apart and bleed out prey or use its body spikes to ram into the target stabbing them I've also observed the creatures going into a frenzied state when attacking and consuming the element ridden corrupted creatures where their veins glow a bright red and their eyes turn a pale white, understandably it causes nearby creatures to fear for their life causing a sort of "fear aura" around itself While very rare I have also encountered few larger variants that are more infused with Element much like the other creatures adapted to survive element infusion, although not controlled they are in a permanent state of frenzy and are far more dangerous, they primarily arrive around the Orbital Drops drawn by the corpses of the corrupted creatures although they can be found very rarely in the wild. Tamed If you can manage to tame one of these ferocious creatures then you'll have the perfect creature for harvesting flesh and limbs, they can gather twice as much parts with ease compared to normal creatures and that doesnt stop at flesh as it makes them excellent for stripping the element from the corruption ridden creatures in the waste It's also been observed that when in their element frenzy they also cause a sort of "fear aura" that slowly begins to induce fear into surrounding creatures, making them excellent for scaring off or hunting creatures Also thanks to the Spikes adorning this beast it not only makes fighting your Lythro difficult but it also provides its Rider protection as well as deterring the likes of smaller creatures from attacking the rider I've also seen this beast fight off a Giga, normally its razor sharp teeth would tear apart anything however the spikes protected it from the Gigas razer sharp teeth first of all big thanks to Narutomaki for making this art for me, please go check out his Deviantart so what can you expect? Well let's talk what they are capable of more in depth and what uses you could have with them 1. They are very useful at gathering from Creatures, sure meat gathering is something that applies to alot of creatures but something that isn't is doubling Creature Trophies, this will help gather the required tributes for Bosses much faster and it not only applies to Normal and Alpha drops but Boss trophies as well making it much easier to beat Extinction since you'll have the backup trophies for either retries or for the next level of the King Titan fight and the spikes will keep pesky creatures like Icthyornis, Pegos and Microraptors away 2. And that also means they can be brought into Boss Arenas unlike the Giga and Carcha and will be a powerful new addition to any army looking to take the bosses and their frenzy mode will keep minions away Also I want to talk about its moveset, it will have a bite attack A Tackle attack And it can grab ahold of creatures similar to a Kentro with its bite and shake them around, the player holds the bite button in order to use this attack All of these abilities inflict bleed and of course the creature has reflective damage to physical attacks thanks to its spikes dealing damage back to its attacker
  2. (Vaguely based on Mohg, Lord of Blood from Elden Ring) Dossier Wild: You would think after all this time on the ARKs, I would eventually get used to the oversized and almost mythological inhabitants but no. Dromornis Nihallis as i have dubbed him, is not what i pictured for this flightless bird, but indeed much, much scarier. Dromornis stands at about the height of an Allosaur when stretched fully but usually stands a bit shorted due to it's posture. It's beak is jagged and almost malformed with an extra set of teeth inside the beak, most unusual for these birds. It's feathers are matted and mangey; This bird, by all accounts almost seems like a demon or monster and it's demeanor matches this observation. Dromornis is a fairly fast and vicious hunter employing its razor beak, knife-like claws, and its secret: The blood parasite. Dromornis has a parasite that appears to be the cause of its sadistic look. This parasite has formed a symbiotic bond with this bird, feeding off of Dromornis' kills while also giving it the power to hunt and kill enough for both of them. Tamed: I initially assumed after seeing many brutal fails at taming, that Dromornis was simply too savage. This appears to not be the case. An absolutely insane woman I met who only identified as "The Initiate'' claimed ownership of 3 of them. When I inquired on how she did this, she responded "I only accepted the blood bird for the gift that it was." Didn't ask more after that, but Dromornis has many interesting Attributes. For one, this bird's blood is normally extremely destructive to other creatures, but when exposed to the right ingredients it can make others much more powerful in a variety of ways. Only kicker is the parasite Will eventually die off, and if Dromornis wanders too far away from his blood pack, the parasite will drive the blood packmates into a frenzy until Dromornis returns, making them significantly weaker while it searches for its host. Dromornis itself, if excited enough, will sometimes projectile vomit its last parasite soaked meal at creatures as an attack but trust me, you don't really want to see this happen. It's not pretty Blood pack: Using Parasite blood, a "Pact Initiator" can be crafted. These Initiate creatures into the Dromornis' Blood pack. Dromornis can only have 3 packmates at one time. there are 4 variants: Damage Initiator: +30% DMG (50% DMG with "Blood Panic") (Only +10% for anything above 550 drag weight) Defence Initiator: +20% Resistance, +5 armor (40% RES, +10 armor with "Blood Panic") (Only +7.5% for anything above 55 drag weight) Torpor Initiator: Attacks now deal torpor equal to 2x damage done (4x with "Blood Panic") (Only 1.5x for anything above 550 drag weight) Blood Initiator: Grants "Blood Gift" Allows pack members to apply a bar on target that fills slowly based on damage done. when bar fills, 1% of health is instantly lost. (Health drained increased to 5% with "Blood Panic") (Only 0.5% health lost for anything above 550 drag weight) Dromornis requires 10% extra food on account of its parasite. Dromornis Gets a debuff called "Pack Wear" when gaining a pack member that gives Dromornis -7.5% DMG, RES, and +10% more food needed. Stacks with each Pack member for a total of -22.5% DMG, RES, and +30% more food needed. When 2 Dromornis Blood packs are nearby, all packmates of both Dromornis are enraged, attacking each other, regardless of tribe Affiliation. Dromornis' themselves are not affected by this, only the packmates If Dromornis leaves the area of its Packmates, Packmates enrage on anything nearby, also losing 15% resistance, until Dromornis returns. If Dromornis is killed while packmates are still alive, packmates get "Blood Panic" causing their Initiator to be massively boosted, while also draining 1% health per second. Drain can be alleviated by healing but can not be cured so it will eventually die. Dromornis can spawn wild with a blood pack. Wild Packmates will have a random initiator 50% chance of having not wild pack 25% chance of having 1 packmate 15% chance of having 2 packmates 10% chance of having 3 packmates Packmates can spawn as any of the following: Raptor Carno Rex Spino Therizino Bronto Terror Bird Dilo Chalico Araneo Stego Dromornis is close to a yuty in speed Base Stats H: 425 S: 600 O: 150 F: 2000 W: 350 M: 100% MS: 120% T: 2000 Abilities: Left Click : Serrated Bite Right Click : Power Kick C : Blood Vomit X : Screech Serrated Bite: Standard Bite that applies parasite debuff lowering targets damage by 5% and resistance by 5% and constantly drain health at a very slow pace (scales with melee). This buff can stack, but only up to 4 times and only if different Dromornis apply it. 1 Dromornis can only apply the debuff once. Upon biting a target, generates 1-2 "Parasite Blood" in inventory. Power Kick: High damage charge attack. More it is charged, the more damage it does. Applies "Blood Kicked" which builds up a bar on the target. once this bar reaches 100%, 3% of targets health is instantly lost. Charge is based on damage done by Dromornis Blood Vomit: Can only be done if in a full blood pack. When all 3 blood pack members are present a meter will appear for Dromornis. This meter will fill very slowly based on kills by the pack. it does not deteriorate. Damage and amount of blood vomit is based on how many kills Domornis gets then eats. Has to land finishing blow on target and eat the body to apply. Can, at maximum, vomit 5 pools of blood with full charge. Blood pools will linger anywhere between 3-10 seconds on the ground and will apply the parasite debuff and deal constant damage to anything that steps on the pools. Dromornis and its' blood pack are immune to the pools. Friendly creatures not affiliated with Dromornis are not immune and will take damage. Screech: Dromornis will screech and scream wildly causing blood pack members to frenzy, gaining 15% movement speed and Immunity from bleed for 1 minute. Taming: Dromornis requires a new host for it's parasite: you. Killing wild Dromornis will drop 1-3 "Bloody feathers" 15 of these feathers and 20 leech blood with get you a "Dromie Effigy" When approached with this effigy, Dromornis will curiously approach you and vomit a bloody lump. You must consume the bloody lump. Upon consumption, Dromornis will do a happy animation and watch you, following you around slowly and cautiously. You gain "Blood Sickness" sickness drains health constantly , causes aberration hallucination effects, inverts controls, increases wild creature aggression, Causes you to vomit blood, can take control of you like a noglin aggroing onto everything not Dromornis in the vicinity, and leaving you with 50% reduced movement speed and unable to ride dinos until Dromornis is tamed or you die. higher level Dromornis will build taming affinity slower than a lower level. Higher levels will also cause "Blood Sickness" effects to happen more often. Effects are entirely random, except the movement speed debuff and health drain, and, when survived, give an affinity boon. Boons are as follows Blood Vomit: +0.1% Control Invert: +0.2% Hallucination: +0.3% Aggression Increase: +0.4% Mind Control: +0.5% Affinity boons from sickness effects can be multiplied by up to 3x depending on level, lower levels giving more affinity Saddle: level 79 Initiator base cost: 50 Crystal, 50 leech blood, 100 Dromornis parasite blood. Specific costs: DMG Initiator: 10 rex arms, 5 Tuso tentacles, 25 Black pearls RES Initiator: 5 Sauropod vertebrae, 10 basilo blubber, 50 Polymer (organic) Torpor Initiator: 25 Titanoboa Venom, 15 Megalania Venom, 150 Bio Toxin Blood Initiator: 200 Blood packs, 35 Leech blood, 400 Silica pearls Strengths and weaknesses Strengths: Dromornis is a hybrid of a damage dealer/support creature. Using the blood pack ability can allow you to fill certain niches in your army. for example; boss fights. Giving blood or damage initiators to 3 allos would make for quick work of a boss. or maybe you need to tame? give a something lightweight a torpor initiator to help with knockouts. Dromornis is great for area control and denial. Using screech will allow your pack to take threats head on with the added speed to keep up. Between Blood Vomit, Screech, and your pack, Dromornis can completely control an area to your liking. Alternatively, Dromornis is a very capable damage dealer. Without a Blood pack, Dromornis can be deployed en mass to maximize the effects of the Parasite debuff. Sufficiently breed Dromornis groups would be able to completely cripple and bleed out even the strongest of enemies. Since DOT effects are based on melee damage, the bleed effect could become very powerful Weaknesses: Dromornis' Blood pack, while powerful, cripples it. It is very much a glass cannon type of creature and with the debuffs from its pack, it will be very weak. Simply ignoring its pack and singling it out will cause the pack to eventually die out, if you can manage that. they also have another weakness: Certain mammals have out grown the parasites effects and are immune to it, while also doing 10% more damage to Dromornis itself. These creatures are immune to the parasite debuff, disregard pack initiators, and also can not be initiated into a Dromornis Blood pack. These creatures are: Mammoth Direwolf Sabertooth Equus Desmodus Onyc Megatherium Using any of these will make quick work of any Dromornis and its pack. As previously mentioned, it is very weak in terms of health. If you have and equally strong damage dealer with more health, it will decimate groups of Dromornis. Dromornis is a tall Terror Bird Relative that is slightly shorter than an allo. it is covered in mangey grey and black feathers with a red orange and yellow plume on the head and neck. It has long stocky legs and Sharp claws. Its beak is jagged, serrated, Sharp and almost malformed with a long and slender eye. its tail is peacock-lick without the ability to flash the tail. (WIP Sketch. Not final art) Art by Lapis Lazuli (Very cool guy) Feel free to add on your ideas and suggestions to Dromornis! This is my first concept I've done and I'm very proud of how it turned out, but I'd be happy to hear anyone else suggestions.
  3. My Goal Is To Educate People About Aurornis, First let me tell you About Aurornis Xui In Real Life, Aurornis was roughly the size of a modern pheasant, with a length of 50 cm (20 inches). It had clawed wings and a long bony tail. Its leg bones were similar to those of Archaeopteryx, but overall its anatomy was more Primitive Aurornis lived roughly 160 million years ago, roughly 10 million years before Archaeopteryx, which often has been described as the first bird. Wild : Aurornis Xui, Although Seems Cute and Cuddly From Afar,Do not approach It As Its Powerful Beak and Talons Can Shred Even the Toughest Of Creatures! Males Have A Luminescent Tail and Head Feathers, while males have Extra Feathers under its beak. The Females Have A More dull Look While a Shorter Tail And No Head Feathers. Aurornis Are Often Seen Hunting in a Pack of 3, 2 Females and 1 Male, Rarely Even all 3 Of same Gender Or 2 Males and 1 Female. Some Packs Have Been Witnessed To Raise Other Baby Dinos In There nest With there Own Young. Killing A pack Of Aurornis Xui Will benefit you Greatly as it Will drop Feathers Another More Softer and Prettier Alternative To Make Beds and sleeping bags (Beds and Sleeping Bags Crafted from Feathers Have A shorter Respawn Timer and The Beds and sleeping bags crafted from Feathers wil have A Feather Look instead of Typical Hide look), Alternatively Can make a Aurornis GlideSuit, A More Faster and Cooler GlideSuit. Domesticated : Aurornis Xui, While Domesticated Can Benefit you Greatly, It can Jump High While Aurornis Cannot Fly it can Glide While Gliding it Opens Its Tail and Wings Wide and Can Glide Up to Hours Until It Touches the Ground,While Being a Semi-Flying Dinosaur it can Swim Very Well, While Getting Scent of Insects Aurornis will Become Raged and Go on a Killing Spree on Insects Dealing 25% More Damage To Creatures. Aurornis Can be Paired and This Creature While Being A Little Bigger Then an Iguanadon Can Kill Even The Supposed King Of Dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus Rex, With its Talons and Cause Bleeding and Can even Latch On to Creatures Bigger then a Allosaurs and up, While Pouncing Smaller Dinos Down to a Raptor, Smaller then a Raptor It Can grab with Its beak and Few to none can escape Its Grasp. it Can Also Somehow Latch onto Flying Dinosaurs (More specifically Like the Quetzal) i Saw Tribes using this to Try To Bring Down Quetzals, Even Other Tribes Used Aurornis to "Injure Flying Dinosaurs" Making them Forcefully Land or drop to the ground, For Trapping or Easily Killing them. You can Make The Aurornis Make a Nest Big Enough to Hatch The Biggest of Creatures, Enable There Mother Instinct On Female Aurornis And it will Sit on the Eggs until 5% ( Almost Ready To Hatch), It will Keep Screeching Until The baby is Hatched, The Aurornis mother will AutoClaim and If You give her The necessary Things she will Imprint and Also Raise The baby up! Extra Notes : 1. it Can Latch onto Giant Dinosaurs (More specifically Like the Quetzal) Imagine your trying To tame a Quetzal, But only Low lvls Are on map, There are Few Low to mid Tier Dinos that Can Catch up to a quetzal Therefor making it more Useful. 2. The Idea is It can "Injure Flying Dinosaurs" Making them Forcefully Land or drop to the ground, For Taming or Easily Killing them , This DeBuff Could last up to 1min (Similar to the Net from Gen 2). Vote For Aurornis For a New Boss Fighting and Terrain Crossing Birdy Friend, 🐦 (Sorry My female Aurornis Sketch Wont upload, but it was shown as Dossier Says )
  4. Cladoselache Dossier Common Name: Cladoselache Species: Cladoselache Limodens Time: Late Devonian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Survivors dismiss the shimmering lights underneath the sea as the work of unpleasant cnidaria. However, those who are knowledgeable of these lights know that Cladoselache lurks in the darkness. This shark-like fish moves in swarms, with slime-coated maws that disable prey. These creatures expertly navigate the depths, attacking and devouring anything that crosses their path. Cladoselache's slime is a viscous substance that creates a dangerous cocktail within their maws. It may seem calming to think that these animals are typically found in the depths of the ocean. However, on rare occasions, they have been known to attack Pelagornis in the darkest hours of the night. While survivors may feel safe inland, it's important to note that these sharks are capable of traveling onto land in a horrifying manner. Cladoselache's pectoral fins allow them to navigate across landscapes, which can become a nightmarish reality when these creatures are lurking in an inland lake or pond. Domesticated If somehow a survivor is capable of satiating these piscine predators, a Cladoselache is a fearsome combat mount. A swarm of these animals can decimate the unsuspecting, supplementing their diets, you can alternate the roles these creatures can perform. Making them an excellent mount that has multiple purposes, a wonderful addition to a wandering survivor. But it is somewhat concerning that they seem to be using bioluminescence to possibly communicate. Potential Base Stats and Spawning These relatives of sharks are found in the depths of the ocean, in shoals harassing even Mosasaurus. But survivors can encounter them on occasion in the shallows or inland lakes and waterways. Sometimes on an occasion find a sleeping Cladoselache, laying on the seafloor like a boulder. Health: 450 Stamina: 250 Oxygen: N/A Food: 1000 Weight: 350 Melee Damage: 35 (Bite) | 45 (Thrash) Torpidity: 400 Taming To successfully obtain a Cladoselache, patience is required. A subdued specimen can be obtained by administering biotoxin, which induces a deeper state of torpor. While unconscious, these creatures consume anything in large quantities, including their favored treat - ammonite bile. You however must first find a Cladoselache taking a nap on the ocean floor. Abilities & Functions Explained Cladoselache are creatures that thrive in packs, utilizing a swarm of twelve individuals to overpower their target. They possess the ability to traverse the land, much like Epaulette sharks, but they also possess the unique capability to leap across terrain, enhancing their stamina. To acquire Cladoselache the unique bites, one must possess a certain amount of one of four resources. Ammonite Bile causes the Cladoselache's bite to become caustic, similar to acid that removes the resistances and armor of creatures it attacks. Leech blood causes a blood letting affect, that causes target to bleed uncontrollably. Angler Gel behaves similar in a manner to Electrophorous or Cnidaria, the bite causing electrocution and torpor. While Oil, behaves in a manner that can cause a tar-effect, which if somehow a survivor can ignite the fuel underwater, causes a surprising underwater fire because of the slowing and dangerous oil. WHOA CLADOSELACHE BE UPON THEE!!!
  5. Common Name: Tor Species: Torvosaurus Time: Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Opportunistic Wild: The Torvosaurus is a unique creature because it can create dust when it slams its tail on the ground, blinding other creatures and players for a few seconds. It also bounty hunts, meaning that if a creature has been killing a lot of other creatures, the Torvosaurus will challenge it to a fight to the death. If the Torvosaurus is losing, it will slam its tail on the ground and use its hair to create an electroshock pulse that blasts the creature to the ground. The Torvosaurus can also use its sharp claws to make creatures bleed and take them down. Taming: To tame a Torvosaurus, you need to kill many medium-sized herbivores and carnivores, like a carno or stego, to get its attention. Then, you need to challenge it and win. When you win, it will be on the ground, and you need to feed it prime meat or raw mutton. Abilities: The Torvosaurus has several abilities. First, it can slam its tail to create a cloud of dust, blinding any creature. Second, it can create an electroshock pulse to stun and hurt creatures. Finally, you can hide in its mouth to hide from other creatures since they don't typically attack the Torvosaurus.
  6. Iani Smithi. It's an iguanadontian, but being known for having teeth rather than a bill and a strong jaw I thought it could be a cool pack-type dino. Since Carnivores have been so popular and people want more herbivores this could be a good in between. Like they get a buff of bleed and the broken bone thing when either in a pack or given a certain food(rare flower/mushroom or beer). They would be more the size of raptors than the size of the normal iguanodon. This would also mean being less bulky and more offensive stat wise. The inspiration for it being an aggresive dino is it's name being inspired by Janus, the two-faced roman god. And it's name also relates to change, this being the map where Rockwell went through his big change I thought this would be a fitting addition. Since it would be for ab, it could keep the iguanodon skill of not using stam, while also being able to climb on vines/ropes like ravagers. Also being in ab it could take advantage of the glow effect. It would have patches of skin that could be very vibrant and it's special ability would be to glow very brightly for a short amount of time confusing big predators and scaring off small ones. This would give it time to escape because it isn't built for fighting larger dinos(if they wanted to make it stronger they could make it able to jump on large dinos like deinonychus or even climb walls 😂). It's passive skills would be the unlimited stam buff and a weight reduction on crystal, gems, and gas. One suggestion I've seen is to make it immune to stuns so that it could counter shadowmanes. They have a glow affect like glow pets/bugs. They are attracted to light so you could use lamps or flares to lead them where you want. To tame them you will need to beat them to low health. once they are low health they will glow brightly and run to the nearest source of light (lamp, flare, glowbug, glow pet, aberrant dino, fire) as a source of comfort and lay down. Once they lay down you can passive tame them. This would take the form of taking care of them by feeding them or petting them till tamed. As offense based herbivores they would be territorial like a Therizino or chalico. They would aggro to anything that gets too close. When they get low on health they would use their flashbang ability to escape danger. Iani smithi
  7. Fluffy rex boi Wild: The Lythronax is most comfortable in the aberrant red zone, due to the low light levels in the depths of the cave. They can see in the dark (like night vision on tek helm) and can go invisible in the dark like a desmodus. They hunt in pairs and inflict a minor bleed upon bite. They are much stronger when in pairs, getting a pair buff (like 30% speed idk) which allows them to thrive. They are between yuty and rex in size, allowing them to compete with the large and hostile predators of aberration. TAMING: In order to tame one, you need to find a pair first. You kill one of the partners to start taming. once the partner dies you must prove yourself as the best hunting partner in the room. (like the Amargasaurus but this one can actually fight ;-; ). TAMED: Once tamed, they offer all previously mention abilities along with being able to see invisible creatures, like the tek helmet. They would have either a flak saddle, which would provide protection, or a tek one, which would enhance the lythronax's claws (tek claws =D ) WARNINGS: Their feathers are highly flammable, so this can be used against them, or maybe against you (flamethrower moment) (KFC) They take double torpor due to their rapidly flowing blood spreading the narcotics or venom faster. (Sleepy boi go brrrrr) They only get the pair buff IN PAIRS, so don't have a ton of them for an army.
  8. NAME: NEOBATRACHIA SPECIES: NEOBATRACHIA AJAJU TIME: UNKNOWN DIET: CARNIVORE TEMPERAMENT: AGGRESSIVE WILD THE NEOBATRACHIA IS A TERROR OF THE JUNGLE IN ABERRATION, A MASSIVE SIZED TREE FROG DESCENDANT THAT STALKS THE CANOPIES AND CLIFFS BY LEAPING AND CLIMBING TO PURSUE ITS PREY. GIVEN IT’S SCIENTIFIC NAME AFTER A MYTHICAL BLOOD DRINKER THIS FROG USES A SERRATED TONGUE TO GRASP ITS VICTIMS AND AS THEY STRUGGLE BLEED THEM OUT. EVEN WORSE DUE TO THEIR LOVE OF HALLUCINOGENIC MUSHROOMS IF YOU ATTACK THEM TO MUCH WITH MELEE AT CLOSE RANGE YOU WILL GO FOR A LITTLE TRIP. THIS BEAST IS A THREAT ON LAND, WATER, AND EVEN SKY AS IT CAN USE ITS GIANT WEBBED FEET TO SLOW ITS FALLS AND GLIDE FOR A SIGNIFICANT DISTANCE TO CHASE GLIDING SURVIVORS. IN THE WATER THEY ARE SLOW AND EASY TO EVADE AT LEAST, BUT NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN IF YOU THINK ANY ARE NEAR, THERE’S NOTHING LIKE HAVING A NICE SWIM ONLY TO HAVE A GIANT FROG SLAM INTO YOU AT HIGH VELOCITY FROM SOMEWHERE HIGH IN THE CANOPY. THEY DO HAVE A SPECTACULARLY BEAUTIFUL SONG WHEN COMMUNICATING THROUGH, FOR A CARNO SIZED AMPHIBIAN THAT WANTS TO EAT EVERYTHING. DOMESTICATED TAMING A NEOBATRACHIA IS THE CLASSIC, BOLA IT AND THEN BONK IT UNCONSCIOUS TO GIVE IT FOOD, WELL BLOOD, THEY LIKE BLOOD MIXED WITH HALLUCINOGENIC MUSHROOMS. ONCE TAMED YOU HAVE A BEAST THAT CAN CLIMB WALLS AND TREES, GLIDE ACROSS THE CANOPY, AND SWIM THE WATERS OF YOUR CAVERNOUS HOME! THEY LIKE RAVAGERS CAN CLIMB VINES AND ZIPLINES, BUT ONLY IN ONE DIRECTION. WITH A FLICK OF ITS TONGUE YOU CAN BLEED OUT MOST CREATURES YOU FACE, OR SEND OTHER SURVIVORS INTO A HALLUCINOGENIC STATE, AND FOR ANYTHING SMALLER THAN A REAPER YOU CAN POUNCE UPON IT TO PIN IT DOWN. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THEY BREED SLOWLY AND KEEPING THE TADPOLES ALIVE IS A CHORE, BUT IF YOU MANAGE THEN YOU WILL HAVE A POWERFUL ALLY IN YOUR MISSION TO SURVIVE THE ARK. ANOTHER REASON SURVIVORS TAME THEM IS TO HARVEST THEIR MUCUS WHICH CAN BE USED TO RESIST RADIATION OR TURNED USED AS A NARCOTIC SUBSTITUTE. THEY MAKE EXCELLENT MOUNTS FOR AMBUSHING SURVIVORS ATTEMPTING TO GO FOR A GLIDE, EITHER BY PINNING THEM OUT OF MIDAIR TO THE UNFORGIVING GROUND OR A MUSHROOM TRUNK, OR DOING A TONGUE FLICK TO DISABLE THEIR GLIDER AND SEND THEM PLUMMETING TO THEIR DEATH. THESE FROGS TAKE NO FALL DAMAGE FROM GREAT HEIGHTS SO FEEL FREE TO GO WILD IN EXPLORING EVERY POSSIBLE HEIGHT OR DEPTH YOU CAN. UTILITY WAR MOUNT, NOT SUPER HEAVY ON HEALTH/DEFENSE BUT MORE THEN MAKES UP FOR THESE DRAWBACKS BY HAVING TWO STATUS EFFECT INFLICTIONS AND HIGH MOBILITY ALL TERRAIN MOVEMENT. NO FALL DAMAGE SO YOU CAN LITERALLY JUST LAUNCH YOURSELF INTO A MASSIVE FALL AND JUST DROP OR GLIDE AWAY. GLIDING IS MORE EFFICIENT THAN THE GLIDER ITEM AND OTHER GLIDING MOUNTS IN DISTANCE AND STAMINA, AND IT CAN LAND ON VERTICAL SURFACES LIKE A TAPEJARA. THE PIN CAN BE DONE ON GROUND OR WALL AND YOU CAN SNATCH SOMEONE FROM THE AIR, WORKS JUST LIKE A RAPTOR PIN.
  9. Introduction: Hello, survivors! I introduce you to the wyvern killer, Rajaissa! The Rajaissa is known for climbing the mountains and also being around the wyvern den, so it can hunt down the wyverns and other creatures that cross its path. Wild: The Rajaissa stays around the wyvern den so it can find some other creatures, or wyverns to kill that cross its path to fill its hunger. The wyverns like to challenge The Rajaissa for the king because they are both very territorial creatures. There is some sort of tension between the wyverns and the Rajaissa for some sort of reason, it may have to do with the history between them. It's a mystery with the Rajaissa, but they also kill the wyverns for fun and even go far enough to steal their eggs so they can fill their hunger. Abilities: The Rajaissa can use its sharp claws to climb mountains and make creatures bleed. It is also known for its wings that can go diverse and vertically. The Rajaissa can use echolocation at night to see in the dark and other creatures that may lurk in the dark. Taming Process: You can tame the Rajaissa by trapping it in a metal-like cage, and after you trap it in your cage you have to bring it wyvern eggs. Then when you place It down, it will smell the eggs and then devour them. There will be a trust meter that'll pop up and you have to make it full so you can ride it. Then when you ride the Rajaissa, you will have to go to the wyvern nest and kill the wyverns in the den till you get the taming bar to the max, and then you will have your very own Rajaissa.
  10. Diet: Herbivore Behavior: Neutral Dossier: Wild: Megalonyx is a gentle ground sloth that lives throughout the forests and tundras of this Ark. But don't be fooled by its gentle nature. If provoked, the Megalonyx will relentlessly defend itself with its long, sharp claws, swinging them in a wide arc in front of itself. The Megalonyx can also has a wide arsenal of abilities such as picking up creatures and slaming them into the ground, throwing volleys of small stones, and a powerful spear tackle. The most formidable ability in the Megalonyx’s arsenal is the ability to enter a defensive stance, standing on its hind legs and raising its front legs defensively like a boxer. If hit, it will retaliate with a powerful counterattack. Domesticated: If you manage to tame a Megalonyx, you will find yourself with a powerful brawler at your disposal. Clever use of the Megalonyx’s block and counter ability will allow you to take down even the strongest of creatures. The Megalonyx can even deflect projectiles with the counterattack, even bullets! Alas, the Megalonyx will stagger if you attempt to block a Guardian or Overseer’s attacks, absorbing the damage but being incapable of counterattacking. The Megalonyx would be slightly larger than a megatherium and would live in forests and snow biomes throughout Ragnarok. Taming method: Attack the Megalonyx and get it to enter its blocking stance. When it is in its blocking stance approach it and feed it, which will give taming and have it exit its blocking stance. Repeat until tamed. Abilities: Requires a saddle to ride. Left click| Claw Swing: The Megalonyx swings its claws in a wide arc in front of it. This attack has powerful knock back and inflicts deinonychus-style bleed. Good at harvesting wood and fiber. Hold Left click| Spear Tackle: While holding down left click, a bar above your hot bar will start to fill. If you release when full (it charges fast) the Megalonyx will do a spear tackle forward, dealing 2x the damage of the claw swing. Right click| Block Stance: The Megalonyx will stand on its hind legs and raise its front arms defensively like a boxer. If it is hit, it will swing its arms down in a counterattack, dealing extra damage based on how powerful the blocked hit was and has powerful knock back. If a melee attack was blocked, it will take 90% reduced damage from the attack blocked. If a ranged attack was blocked, it will deal no damage to the Megalonyx and the projectile will be reflected at the shooter, this includes spines, arrows, and even bullets! You cant walk in this stance, but you can turn to face different directions. If you attempt to block a boss’s or titan’s attack it will stagger the Megalonyx and it will not perform a counterattack or reflect projectiles, but it will still reduce the damage taken by 90%. The Megalonyx can stay in block stance for 10 seconds before being forced to leave it. Hitting the button again will end the ability prematurely and make it return to normal stance. The block stance has a 20 second cooldown. C| Pickup Slam: The Megalonyx will quickly reach out its arm and grab creatures up to a thyla’s size and proceed to slam them into the ground, dealing about half the damage of the claw swing and applying a debuff that reduces their damage and movement speed by 50%. Ctrl| Stone Throw: The Megalonyx will grab a small stone off the ground and throw it with about arrow like velocity and range. The Megalonyx must stop moving to use this attack. Can continue to throw stones repeatedly if Ctrl is held down. I hope you like the idea. I made sure the Megalonyx was not too similar to the only current ground sloth in Ark, the megatherium. Reply with some suggestions to improve it. 11. MACHAIRODUS Species: Machairodus Time: Late Miocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Similar to the Ark’s Smilodon brutalis, the Machairodus is a large species of saber-toothed cat that dwells in the mountainous biomes of Ragnarok. They are much larger in size, however, amounting closer to the mass of a Shadowmane instead. Machairodus also tend to hunt in packs of up to five. This powerful big cat possesses a pounce-and-tackle ability much like the Thylacoleo to survivors and even other small dinosaurs. It is pointless to attempt to overpower a pack with a larger, stronger dinosaur, however, as the larger a predator is, the more the Machairodus' primal spirit boosts their attack damage. Pack Alphas drop their teeth, a special ingredient used in their taming process. Tamed: In similar behavior to their wild counterparts, Machairodus are able to pounce onto unsuspecting survivors and small-medium dinosaurs. However, once tamed, the Alpha of the pack gains the ability to pounce onto larger dinosaurs and attach to them for as long as their stamina allows. During this time, the Alpha is able to inflict heavy bleed damage with a special "shredding attack" that deals immense amounts of damage. Additionally, as long as the Alpha is grappled, its packmates deal increased damage with a stacking bleed effect if being ridden. It's "primal spirit" feature is included in its tamed variant, making it a swell counter to the Ark's largest carnivores… especially the infamous giganotosaurus; arch enemy of this vicious, apex pack feline. The feature increases the amount of damage dealt to larger creatures and also offers a climbing damage reduction the higher the damage dealt to the machai is. It is heavily reliant on pack bonus, however. Taming: To tame these beasts of a feline, survivors must first gather Machairodus teeth from killing prides of them, only the Alpha of which drops its teeth. It is important to kill the whole pride, however, as remaining Machais will linger by their Alpha's body, making it difficult to dismount and retrieve the teeth from its inventory. Once a survivor has gathered enough teeth (provided they are high enough of a level), they will be able to craft a special weapon that is required for taming the large feline. A survivor must approach the pack on foot and allow themselves to get pounced by the pack's Alpha. They must have their crafted weapon equipped to their last slot for the tame to initiate, however. Once pounced, and provided the weapon is properly equipped, survivors will need to succeed through a series of dodges and counter attacks until the Alpha retreats into a state of "temporary respect." During this stage, the survivor must capture the Machairodus they wish to tame using a net projectile. After it is trapped, the rest of the pack will begin attacking and must all be killed. Only then will the trapped Machairodus fully gain the survivor's trust, though it will not yet be fully tamed. To build its taming effectiveness, survivors must offer a tamed sacrifice to be devoured by the Machairodus. The larger the creature and the higher its level will determine how high its effectiveness will turn out. Appearance: This tank of a cat boasts robust shoulders rippling with sheer muscle. Towards the rear they lean out, giving them less weight to support when latching onto larger creatures. Two scarily long canine fangs curve elegantly from their mouths, perfect for dealing damage and key to survivors for defending against them long enough to tame one. A short, spiky mane lines their back, ending at a short nub of a tail. Their rosetted pelts assist in blending in with their surroundings. Extra: I've created this concept primarily as a hardened giga counter. It's a much needed addition in my opinion, as even with the arrival of the carcha the giga has no true rival. Nothing matches its raw damage, and in typical PvP bases it's the most used dino for sheer power. In most battles between dinos it's just a matter of who's giga rages first or gets the most bites in. I think that the addition of the Machairodus would provide an even challenger for the giga, even if only in packs. In stereotype, the giganotosaurus is supposed to be the biggest and the baddest. So, a creature that only amounts to its power (but definitely amounts to it nonetheless) in packs, and with effects like an insane pack bonus and stacking bleed, seems like a reasonable counter to me. They would need a tanky amount of health to survive a giga long enough to kill it; something a lot of creatures lack. It would either not have a saddle period with such high health, or have an optional saddle for pure armor value to survive its rival's brute strength. It would be a late-game tame with a level limit on the weapon needed for its taming mechanic, meaning there would be limited speed-running to tame it. It's different and difficult method of taming altogether evens out for how strong of a creature it would be in general. The fact that it might not have a saddle or have an optional saddle unlocked at a later level would somewhat balance the amount of damage large packs would deal. I just really want to see people use something else for raw power in the game besides gigas, or to have something actually capable of killing them. Please consider the Machairodus, or offer ideas that you think might refine it!
  12. Wild: Teratornis are carnivorous avians from the Pliocene. They are similar in size to the Ark’s argentavis, making them suitable to be ridden by survivors, if they’re up to the challenge. Teratornis travel in small, aggressive flocks, as they are predators that tend to overwhelm their prey in numbers rather than attack with brute strength. Their flocking behavior is similar to that of the deinonychus; their serrated, hooked beaks inflicting heavy, stacking bleed damage. However, without their flock bonus, a single teratornis is easy game for larger predators. They are able to outrun their close relative, the argentavis, but survivors have had luck escaping them on the back of pteranodons. Domesticated: Once a survivor has acquired a flock of teratornis to aid them, they are useful battle mounts in numbers; perfect for swarming larger predators, such as the rex and allosaurus. Additionally, when in flocks, teratornis are able to protect their riders from being dismounted by other creatures (stuns and, with a cooldown, picking) and even man-made traps. Flocks are even immune to the fear-inducing roar of the yutyrannus! Flocks of teratornis are good mounts to have around in the blazing heat of the Ark’s deserts, as their feathers are designed to keep them cool, and by extension, their riders, too! Taming: The Teratornis is a flock creature, and they are not easily separated from each other. Survivors will find that selecting a single one in a flock to tame is a pain, however some have found a way to win over the stubborn feathered beast. Survivors must approach the flock until they become aggressive, and lead them to a prey item killed by the survivor. As they will take most opportunities to prey on larger creatures, the carcass will distract the flock, giving the survivor time to sneak up on the Teratornis they wish to tame. They must feed it its desired food item, and grab onto its legs. The Terratornis will become startled, wildly flying about and attempting to shake the survivor off. They must manage to stay seated until a persistence bar fills, after which the survivor will be able to hoist themself up onto the Teratornis's back. The flock will quickly turn aggressive towards the survivor and their mounted Teratornis, and the pair must fight back, killing the rest of the flock to fill its taming bar.
  13. Dryptosaurus was a large, bipedal, ground-dwelling carnivore, that grow up to 7.5 metres (25 ft) long and weigh up to 1.5 metric tons (1.7 short tons). 14. Panthera tigris trinilensis, known as the Trinil tiger, is an extinct tiger subspecies dating from about 1.2 million years ago that was found at the locality of Trinil, Java, Indonesia. The fossil remains are now stored in the Dubois Collection of the National Museum of Natural History in Leiden, the Netherlands. Although these fossils have been found on Java, the Trinil tiger is probably not a direct ancestor of the Javan tiger. The Trinil tiger probably became extinct 50,000 years ago. The Bali tiger was also not closely related to the Trinil because of their time differences. Saddle You will have to lay down on the saddle holding handles at the shoulder, with your feet in stirrups at the back. Gathers 1. Raw Meat 2. Raw prime meat 3. Mutton 4. Keratin 5. Chitin 6. Bleed effect, a slash with it's claws that will cause a bleed effect ,on smaller creatures it will give an infection instead 2. Pounce, a stealth pounce where the tiger can sneak up on creatures and pounce on them dealing 2x damage. 3. Bite, just a standard bite. 4. Leap, very long leap to cover very long distances and hights to crops canyon's. 5. Roar , fear roars medium sized creatures, but will cause nearby small creatures like dodos and lystrosaurs and Mosschops to attack its Target 6. Fur slows descent to glide and decrease fall damage. Taming You must find the tiger while it's sleeping, and feed it while it's sleeping, wear ghillie while doing this. This is not a knockout tame! 15. Wild: A lone dinocrocuta in the wild will not attack you unless you attack it. It will mostly be found in packs near mountainous areas and will be quite dangerous. Taming: Dinocrocuta will be found in scorched earth's deserts in groups. If you want to tame it, you must drive the alpha away and reduce the dinocrocuta's health. When you do this you will calm down and you will pet it. Once you pet it, it will trust you as long as you don't hurt it again. Dinocrocuta's taming quality drops rapidly and you must offer him dead animals to increase it. It may be long and arduous to tame, but it will be worth it. Abilities: Dinocrocuta will receive pack support of up to 7 member just like hyaenodon. You don't need a saddle to ride the dinocrocuta but the saddle will both provide protection and slow down the rotting of the meat. Dinocrocuta has the strongest jaws of any mammal. It will give bleeding and bone fracture as soon as it bites. This slows the opponent down and takes away it health. Dinocrocuta will also help you work in your fields. Bone-rich feces will work almost as well as fertilizer. Microraptor, troodon, pegomastax and ichthyornis will fear dinocrocuta.
  16. Yangchuanosaurus was a theropod from the middle-late Jurassic period, around the size of Allosaurus, it was surely an apex of its time. (art by SpinoinWonderland) My idea for Yangchuanosaurus is that it would be able to detect creatures using heat detection, like a snow owl. But it takes this a step further, it can analyze a creatures weak spots to do higher amounts of damage, and it can pinpoint a spot to grapple onto where it hold a creature in place to be continuously shredded with a species “deep wound bleed” that would lower a creatures resistance and make it take more damage. Making it an effective counter against the likes of stegosaurus. This grapple also works on bringing down flying creatures like argentavis, so you can bring down those annoyances who are normally hard to hit on a ground mount. (image by jagged fang designs) Now it’s not just a good counter against defensive creatures, it will have good pve aspects as well, it can use its advanced heat detection ability to detect if a sandstorm or heatwave is coming, and if a creature is high level, much like a glow pet. Additionally bodies of water can be detected, making it easier to traverse the vast desert for water. And one more feature of this ability is that it can mark locations using scent, while you can mark locations on your map, Yangchuanosaurus will give you the distance to how far you are from the location. It’s saddle is special too, it has a raised wooden part on top of it like a thorny dragon, but this will protect you from sandstorms and heatwaves, and also from fliers grabbing you. Additionally this saddle helps it carry perishable items as it reduces spoil time, making it an effective carrier of organic polymer. Speaking of organic polymer, it is an excellent gatherer of it, due to its preferred prey being the mantis. Back to the saddle, it also includes a built in mortar and pestle. Now, it’s taming method. My idea for the taming method will be that it’s like an equus, but you have to feed it it’s preferred food of organic polymer. TLDR: -Can detect sandstorms, heatwaves, bodies of water and high level creatures. Also detects weak points to grapple onto creatures which includes fliers. -Saddle protects rider from being grabbed, and from sandstorms and heatwaves. Saddle also reduces spoil time and has a mortar and pestle built in. -Can mark a location and tell you how far you are away from it. -Special bleed it inflicts that it reduces resistance on creatures, effective against stegosaurus.
  17. i.imgur.com/aoyRpqH.jpg So the longhorn cows are heard animals found near water holes, with a short temper they can do a charge attack that can impale creatures as big as yutyrannus applying a bleed over time. Also when killed the cows will drop beef a high tier of meat similar to mutton. The horns on longhorns tend to release cool air and cool of areas around the cow letting eggs near by hatch, players cool off, or even make food inside the longhorn spoil slower. With their 75% weight reductions, very high stamina and weight Longhorns are a must have tames when exploring and harvesting, and they aren't weak with a high damage output and high movement speed these creatures can charge into battle with glory or run to a safer vantage point. Also the Longhorn can be rode without a saddle, but with the saddle comes a smithy and slots on the side to store shoulder pets. The inspiration behind this is to counter act Argents being the one and only travel and harvesting creature and it would feel good to have a break and just get the same outcome faster with more fun by running on the ground. Taming method, you must get the cows to charge at you and dodge successfully running them into a wall, once they hit the wall a small amount of torpor is gained and you must do this process until your longhorn is knocked out.
  18. Design The design of the creature should be similar to the design from the show Prehistoric Planet, but their size should be larger than a normal raptor and should be more reminiscent of their size in Jurassic World Dominion. Wild In the wild Atrociraptors should travel in packs of 4 and hunt the herbivores, small carnivores, and raptors of Scorched Earth. When wild the Artrociraptor will spread it arms out and run at you at a very fast speed in an attempt to pounce you, if pounced the Atrociraptor will shred through most armours (Doesn't shred through Chitin). Wild Atrociraptors are found in only the hottest areas being drawn to sources of heat such as fire. Taming To tame the Atrociraptor you must first kill all of its pack mates, then you must lure the Atrociraptor using oil jars and flame arrows, once the Atrociraptor goes to investigate the flames, you must sneak up to it and ride it, while riding it the Atrociraptor will run and jump around, during this sequence you must press the quick time buttons that appear randomly on the screen, the Atrociraptor will kick you off every 25% and chase you, you then repeat this process until the Atrociraptor is tamed. Tamed When tamed Atrociraptors make an extremely proficient desert mount. Atrociraptor are extremely fast, have the ability to climb, can slide similar to Andrewsarchus, and have quite a high jump for a theropod. Abilities: Passive - Atrociraptors receive a pack bonus that stacks between a total of 4 of them. Ability #1.) Bolt - The Atrociraptor spreads its arms and charges at an extremely fast speed (Similar ten the speed of a Gali) if the attack button is pressed while bolting the Atrociraptor will attempt to pounce, if it pounces a creature it inflicts bleed damage, if it pounces a player it shreds through their armour. Ability #2.) Rallying Roar - The Atrociraptor lets out a roar which boosts nearby Atrociraptors speed and health regen, they also deal more damage but only if they are not being ridden. Saddle Design The design should give the Atrociraptor light metal plates along its body, and on its head it should have a knight helmet esc design.

    Megaloceros

    From the album: Dossiers

Common Name: Megaloceros Species: Megaloceros Latuscoronam Time: Pliocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Skittish Wild: Megaloceros Latuscoronam is a very skittish herbivore, found mostly in the forests and mountains of the island. Because of its large size, its fraught demeanor would be strange in any other place. But Megaloceros knows how fierce the predators of the island are, and knows that it is safer to flee from them than to risk its life in a fight. The horns of Megaloceros are very large, and make for an excellent source of Keratin. This, of course, makes it a valuable resource. Unfortunately, hunting Megaloceros is not easy because of their quick speed and ability to bound over most obstacles. Domesticated: Megaloceros is a jack-of-all-trades creature, and many who ride it value its versatility. It is decently powerful, and its resilience, speed, and ability to jump often come in handy. Finally, its charging horn attack tends to cause targets to "bleed", decreasing their health, stamina, and speed until healed!
