  1. Harpagornis Moorei! The Titan-Tackling Terror of the Skies! The Eagle permanently resides in the highest parts of the Ark’s airspace, far beyond sight of those on the ground. Wild Eagles hover about the Ark as if it has unlimited stamina, and is obviously an aggressive creature. Similar to the Mosasaur underwater, the Eagle is the most fearsome creature up high, yet it prefers not to fly too close to the ground. If an unwitting flier approaches too close, all it needs to do to escape is head down! If not, the Roc swoops in on giant wings, and those talons can cause some significant bleeding! As you know, bleeding fliers are practically useless, so you’ll really want to dodge that attack! To tame an Eagle, tribes will need to employ their best flying creatures and load up on ammunition, as the Harpagornis will need knocking out whilst it flies, similar to a Quetz. If it wakes on the ground, it will immediately fly upward until it reaches the safety of the sky. Clever survivors will build traps to prevent the Eagle from escaping! Tamed birds are fearsome battle mounts, as nothing rivals them in the air. They can even prey on the largest land mounts such as Giganotosaurus or Titanosaur by slashing with their talons and waiting above for their poor prey to bleed out. Tamed Eagles will, of course, land on the ground when commanded, and they can create their own nest which serves as a natural egg incubator for other eggs; this will be a temporary structure which can be damaged, so be careful where you place it. The nest will have 3 spaces for eggs, and will keep them perfectly incubated unless the nest is destroyed. Tamed Eagles can create two nests, and when roosting at one, they can be told to fly to the other nest without a rider, allowing them to transport items, dinosaurs, and even people with no rider! This is designed to be a higher-end alternative to teleportation without using tek, as I know ASA will be able to implement the tracking required. The Eagle would fly directly up to a set height, fly across, then descend straight down. Be careful using this feature on PVP! As discussed, they’ll have a normal attack and a special talon attack similar to an Allo chomp which inflicts a chunky bleed effect. Eagles will be able to pick up creatures up to Rex size (no bigger!) and can attack whilst holding a creature. Their speed would likely be around Quetz flight speed or up to Giga run speed at full sprint, as a super-strong, super-fast bird is likely to be hell unless you have turrets galore. This will be the ultimate king of the sky, a true terror of the clouds. But we're not done yet! The Eagle has adapted to Extinction like a fish to water, and they now come equipped with a titan-damaging attack which does 130% more damage to normal Titans, and a whopping 150% more damage to the King Titan! If you're able to tame a flock of these behemoths, they'll be a great asset in the boss fights! Whilst them to attack and watch them swoop in to inflict some major bleed damage on the Titans! Scared of traversing the wastelands without a Tek Skiff? Worry no more, as even those pesky Corrupted Gigas cant touch you whilst you soar above the ravaged Earth! Better yet, feed the Haast Eagle enough corrupted material, and it enters a new damage mode with a new ability: Corrupted Bleed! This does bonus damage against corrupted creatures, allowing the Haast Eagle to go toe-to-toe against waves of the suckers in the defence modes! Please consider voting for my big birdy boi!   2. The protosolpuga is an ancient relative of todays camel spider. The main idea for this creature was that it'd be a very speedy and dangerous foe to make exploration a bit more challenging. It would be a bit faster than a raptor or sabertooth and would be able to outrun most creatures. I tried making it both a good fighter and a good travel mount hence the 2 modes. Even thought this is supposed to be the protosolpuga I actually just designed it after the currently alive camel spider, with a few minor tweaks and changes ofcourse. This is simply because the few images that pop up on google when searching protosolpuga are, as seen at the bottom of this page, very vague and hard to understand. Behavior: The protosolpuga would be a very aggressive creature, charging at anyone who gets too close. It'd run up to any creature it comes upon in its movement mode to then switch to combat mode and attack. If the creature were to be small enough, carryable by an argy, the protosolpuga would use its grab ability in which it uses its jaws to pick it up into a defenseless state to then chomp down on it, dealing bleed and massive damage. If multiple creatures were to attack it it'd pick one up if possible and chomp on it in its jaws whilst using its claw strike to hit the rest. If the creature were to be too big to be picked up the protosolpuga would simply use its claw strike and chomp normally. Abilities: (Left Click) Chomp: A very strong attack in which the protosolpuga would clamp down its jaws on its unfortunate foe. It would deal massive damage and bleed but would have a quite long cooldown so it could only be preformed every other second or so. This would mean that the chomp attack actually would have slightly worse DPS than the claw strike but its bleed would make it stronger against foes with more health. The chomp attack would be weakened when in movement mode and would deal less bleed however it'd be the only attack available in movement mode as the 2 front limbs are busy running instead of fighting. If the protosolpuga were holding a creature in its jaws with the grab move the creature currently being held would be the one to get damaged by the chomp attack. (Right Click) Claw Strike: A slightly weaker but much faster attack that utilises the protosolpugas 2 raised front limbs in combat mode to swipe, one after the other, in a 2 hit attack towards its foe. However, since it utilises its 2 front limbs the protosolpuga would only be able to use this attack when in combat mode. The claw strike attack would hit the target twice and have a much lower cooldown than the chomp which would lead to it actually having slightly better DPS. However this attack wouldn't make the opponent bleed so this attack would be reserved more toward weaker foes with less health. However, this attack would only be useable in combat mode as in movement mode the 2 front limbs would be used for movement instead of combat. (C) Grab: Much like an argentavis the protosolpuga would be able to gently use its jaws to pick up and carry around creatures. The creatures that would be carryable in the protoslpugas jaws would be the same as the argy can carry in its talons. If the chomp attack is used whilst a creature is currently held by the protosolpuga the creature being held will be hit. Stats: Healt: Just a little weaker than a rex or spino to compensate for it dealing a bit more damage than them. Stamina: Decent, like an argentavis but would loose stamina faster in movement mode. Oxygen: Don't really think it matters, it's a giant desert dwelling arachnid. Food: Just about like a rex or spino. Wheight: Pretty much like a rex or carno, it's not meant to be used for rescource gathering so it'd just about have enough to carry you, something in its jaws, and som meat/hide & such in its inventory. Damage: About as strong as a rex or spino when in combat mode but only about as strong as a carno or baryonix when in movement mode. However, keep in mind that it'd also have bleed a bleed effect making it slightly superior. Speed: A bit faster than a raptor or sabertooth, not fast enough to truly be considered a travel mount but would atleast be able to catch up to most creatures on the ground. Torpor: Just about the same as a rex or spino as its taming method would make tranquilizing it hard enough as it is. Movement Mode: When in movement mode the front legs of the protosolpuga would be lowered down to the ground and be used for movement instead of combat. Movement mode would simply be activated by running (holding shift whilst walking). Whilst in movement mode you'd have no resistance or damage reduction and your attacks would be weaker but you would be traveling att significantly faster speeds. The chomp attack would now do less bleed and deal less damage overall and the claw strike attack wouldn't be able to be preformed as the front legs are being used for movement. Combat Mode: When in combat mode the front legs of the protosolpuga would be raised up and held in the air to be used in combat to attack and block incoming attacks. This would make the protosolpuga stronger in general but much slower like an anky. When the protosolpuga is ridden combat mode would be activated by simply not sprinting for a second or so but when not riding it it would activate automatically when it detects a threat nearby. When combat mode is active the protosolpuga would deal more damage get a damage reduction from attacks coming from infront of it as it would atleast partially be able to block them with its front limbs. The chomp attack would deal more damage and now induce a stronger bleed effect and the claw strike attack would now be useable. Taming: The protosolpuga would be a knockout tame but due to its thick armor plating it'd be invulnerable to all tranquilizers. To tame the protosolpuga you'd instead need to let it grab on to one of your creatures. When this happens the protosolpuga would be left with ith it's jaws open. This then gives you a chance to be able to run in with a shield and forcefeed it narcotics. After this it'd let out a shreik and begin to chase after you. During this chase you have to lead it to another one of your tames so that it looses aggro and switches target to grab on to the new creature, leaving it vulnurable for another force feeding of narcotics. This process would then continue until it reaches enough torpidity to be tranquilized. After this its just like a usual knockout tame where you simply just put carnivore food into its inventory and wait. Breeding: The protosolpuga would be breed like any other creature but would, as it is a very strong tame, have a quite long breeding interval, hatching time, and maturation time. Biome: When I started working on this creature I originally intended it to wander the wasteland between the biomes as I felt that biome was, at least compared to the others, a bit lackluster. However as I kept working on it I realised it just blatantly fit better in the desert area.   3. --Name Update-- I've been made aware that the Thoracopteridae is actually the name of the family and not a genus itself so a more proper name for it would be the Thoracopterus! hope this change doesn't confuse many people, Thank you Beelzebufo522 for the correction^ Something Ark has needed for a long time is some new creatures to make the ocean more diverse and exciting so i'm here to present the Thoracopterus, Known Commonly as the Flying Fish it is the new fastest Swimmer/Gliding Tame. Able to use its powerful tail to launch out of the water and glide long distances, even challenging the maewing with its gliding/swimming capabilities!! ---Abilities--- Launch and Glide: Gain speed to launch out of the water, the more speed you have the higher into the air you will go. Similar to a maewing you will then hold a button to glide and control the angle and speed at which you fly at. To descend there's a couple of options: a speedy dive that when done into deep water it will be a quick way to reach the ocean's depths or a parachute-like ability for a more slow and controlled descent. Or simply glide until you reach the water again. Speed boost/Charge attack: Whilst in water it is able to do a charged up attack which will propel itself forward at great speeds, you can use this a simple speed boost to move faster whilst in water or if you hit an enemy its wings will slice whatever it goes through dealing bleed damage to the target. Spin attack: If ever cornered it can do a spin attack with its fins that deals knockback and a slight bleed. Just enough to give it the time to zoom away from danger. Invisibility!: Its iridescent scales are great at reflecting the ocean around them, so whilst in water they are able to turn themselves and their rider ‘invisible’ similar to how a Desmodus can vanish into the night. Making it easier to avoid those annoying Stuns and scary alphas! This of course drains stamina quicker just like any over camo/invis abilities. On Land: What happens if you land it on land? No threat, tho it is a fish if you do happen to get it stuck on land you do have time to get it back into the water with either using cryo pod or its slither/flopping movement similar to ARK Additions Xiphactinus to shuffle its way back into the water (this idea could be expanded upon 1 idea being it lasts longer on land if you keep water in its inventory to prevent it from drying up, this meter will be shown its Oxygen bar. However I feel it's also important to keep this as a water mount so for nothing to drastic that it becomes an all terrain creature) Boats arn't safe: They are very skittish creatures, rarely allowing you to get close before speeding off and are especially afraid of boats! If you do manage to get too close to one with a raft or canoe they may feel threatened enough to damage the vessel before speeding off making them a new threat to those that wish to travel the seas without getting their feet wet. another way they may damage boats if they mistake them for pieces of drift wood or debris of which a mate pair may want to lay its eggs on, to do so they might want to cut the vessel up into smaller less noticeable pieces. ---Unsure of abilities--- Mate pair or pack boost options: pack boost was an idea had very early on as these creatures are found in groups, however I don't think it would work well with the bleeding ambush creature it could be. Mate pair tho could see additional abilities being added maybe a aoe heal ability or something else! Climbing waterfalls: These creatures have been spotted using their strong back fin to launch themselves up waterfalls to make it to migrate to other oceans, it's almost like it's defying the laws of gravity. (this idea is a big stretch as I'm unsure if it would even be possible, but I feel like it would be a helpful idea based on the different water levels on the map) Double Jump: To keep in the air almost like a bird it is able to do a strong flap of its fins to launch it up higher, this is helpful if you ever feel like you are getting too close to land and just need that extra boost to get back into the water. This second jump would only be around half the height of its max jump. ---Taming,Breeding,Anatomy--- Taming method: Taming I originally thought would be similar to an Astrodelphis but in the end a Sino would probably be a better comparison, they will spawn in groups and as long as you have their favourite food ammonite bile in your inventory (if you want it to be extra tough could have it so you must apply the ammonite bile making over creatures nearby aggressive) they will come up to you to be fed, swimming around you and sometimes running away having to chase after them. As long as you don't hurt them or don't scare them with any big tames Breeding: In the wild they would leave their eggs onto seaweed and floating debris near the water's surface.Once tamed however they will be able to breed near the surface of the water as long as there's a structure nearby to attach its eggs to. Anatomy: They have razor sharp barbs on the front edge of its 1st pair of fins, these barbs can cause severe bleeding when used at high speeds and mainly used in the wild as a last resort to escape or when hunting for food. They are sharp enough to cut through thick shells and skin of some of the largest creatures in the depths.The fin at the end of their tail is a lot thicker and stronger than the rest of the fins that it uses to glide with. This tail fin is the entire reason it is able to propel itself into the air, climb waterfall and cause knockback and charged attacks Size: slightly smaller than a megalodon there wings make them seem a lot bigger ---Idea for a Tek Saddle--- -I could imagine the Tek saddle covering the Thoras fins like the Tek Tapagara saddle, the tek blades on the fins would then have deferent settings to deal over effects over than just its normal bleed (Green mode=torpor, Purple mode=Electric stun, Red mode=enhanced Bleed for some ideas) -The strong armour around the head could make it so it can charge mineable materials and collect them. -The saddle could possible improve its gliding ability adding a thruster to just boost itself higher into the air if needed. (but it would not be strong enough to keep the Thora in the air forever just longer than normally would without) This thruster could also be used in water for faster acceleration ---Additional info--- -Can’t be picked by a Tuso as it is speedy enough to evade its tentacles -Slight overall weight reduction to make those water resource trips that much easier WILD Swimming near the surface of deep oceans they are found swimming in schools using their numbers and ability to leaping out of the water to escape larger predators. ONCE TAMED: Once Tamed they can become your fastest way of travel, being able to manoeuvre quickly around obstacles in the ocean and skip over pieces of land with its glide. Also a great way to bleed and dodge any attacks whilst in the water with its charges it could be the best way to deal with larger predators if you wish to engage in a fight. They are able to be saddled carrying up to 1 player, when not sprinting can hold a weapon such as harpoon or crossbow. Due to hunting Ammonite and being exposed to its bile for such a long time they have evolved to be immune to the aggressive effects of it, they will also protect the rider also making them immune to its effects.   4. Before reading this is my second creature submission, no I don't have concept art, or animations of its abilities, because I idk how to do all of that stuff. No I don't friends or acquaintances to do that for me. This was a idea that was made by me, and no one else helped. So thank you if you voted. If you need pictures of what it looks like, just go to Google and look up austroraptor. The Austroraptor or (Southern Thief). Is a unique raptor, it's only a bit smaller but also faster than the regular raptor. The austroraptor doesn't love hunting in groups unlike the regular raptor. These creatures love water and fish. You will usually see a austroraptor or two near rivers and lakes trying to catch fish. They will usually even make nests near these rivers and lakes or on the shores. But you won't have to worry they aren't aggressive towards humans. They don't like to pick fights with similar sized creatures. Unless their is multiple austroraptors they will pick a fight with creatures bigger than them. If you do attack them be warned they should not be messed with. As they make their opponents suffer, by bleeding them out to death. If it know it's a losing battle it will run away. These creatures are probably the fastest creature in the ark so good luck catching up to them. Taming one of these austroraptors is extremely hard, I heard that you must hunt with them to gain their trust. You could also risk your life and try to steal its eggs out of one of its nests. These will make a great early to mid game tame for your tribe. Allowing you to get out of sicky situations both on land and water. Also allowing you to tame stronger tames with its speed, I wouldn't recommend trying to kill a tyrannosaurus with a austroraptor. Austroraptors have many unique abilities. I heard that if you give a austroraptor a lot food it will go into a frenzy causing it get stronger, but this could backfire causing it go into the rage similar to giga. May want to stay away. It also can sense creatures underwater around them very useful if you don't want to get killed. These creatures can gather prime fish meat from any aquatic creature which is incredible. 1. Its first special ability is it being able to sense other creatures in the water. Once activated it lasts 30 seconds and the creatures that it sensed or smelled will pulsate red. 2. The second special ability would be frenzy, this ability would allow the austroraptor to get a 5% to 10% stat boost when fed a certain amount of food. Let's just say depends on the level of the dinosaur and its food stat is. Ex: For a Lvl 130 Austroraptor it would take 6 stacks of raw meat or raw fish meat or 30 prime fish meat or prime meat, to activate the ability. Downside: It could go into a rage like the giga, the more you activate the ability the higher the chance. The only way to stop its rage is to wait 10 minutes or knock it out and wait. Also yes this would have a cool down for 15 to 45 minutes. 3. It's last special ability will be able to collect prime fish meat from any fish or dinosaur including the creatures that you can't collect prime with, unlike any normal creature. How to tame: There is a couple ways to tame this creature 1. Stealing its eggs out of its nest. This would require you to steal a egg out of a austroraptor nest which would be surrounded by 3 or 4 austroraptors. 2. Helping a austroraptor hunt, after finding one if you see a austroraptor attacking another dinosuar kill the dinosaur to start the taming process. Then you be given three random reasonable creature that you can kill. Depends on the lvl of the survivor. The austroraptor will follow during this process. Base stats: Health: 320 Stamina: 1080 Oxygen: 1080 (maybe no oxygen stat) Food: 1500 Weight: 260 DPS: 28 Topor: (Depends on the level) Saddle requirement: 35
  5. This ancient mammal was twice the size of a lion and one of the world's greatest preditors. This creature would have a bowerful bite that inflicts bleed damage. The simbakubwa was a fast and agile creature with great climbing and jumping abilities. My idea for the simbakubwa is that he would have a tracking ability and would be able to tell you what creatures and players with their levels that are within a certain radius of him. He would also be able to track the footprints of targeted players or creatures by using a smelling ability that would last for a certain amount of time. The simbakubwa would spawn in the desert biome. I think the simbakubwa was a fascinating animal and is well deserving of a place in ark.
