  1. My presentation for the vote of the next creature on the map of the center is the haast eagle, also known as harpagornis. Facts about harpagornis: It was the largest eagle that ever existed with tiger-sized claws, and is credited with being the inspiration behind the legends of giant, man-eating birds in New Zealand. It was the apex predator of its environment and was capable of killing creatures several times its size. Given this, I believe it could function well as a powerful predator of the apex of the ark's heavens. Feature for the game: Having the haast eagle comfortably and quickly criss-cross the skies over mountains, jungles and a rough ocean where to dive to fish inside the ark would provide a powerful new flyer that would not only give a fun way to travel the map, but would also be a useful tool full of utility depending on what you need and how you use it. Skills: - dive attack: can perform a dive attack to stun and immobilize the flyers in the air for about ten seconds (works on creatures the size of a quetzal or wyvern). Rafaga electric feathers: this attack consists of throwing several of its electric feathers, poisonous or both at its enemies, (this can be done on the ground and in the air, depending on where the rider is pointing). After performing this attack, your enemy will be marked with an orange or reddish aura, depending on your life, in addition to being able to carry a quick attack. - fast forward attack: this attack can be made after you hit a maximum of 5 or 6 feathers to your target, giving harpagornis the opportunity to make this attack charged forward, giving him a big hit. - improved agility: harpagornis has developed the ability to spin in the air just like a pteranodon to cause even more damage to its enemies at high speeds, in turn gaining 40 seconds of affinity in its speed and energy. First class meat and fish catcher: can collect first class fish and meat from the small creatures of the ark with their claws or beak (these can be dodos, kairukus, pegomastax, piranhas, coelacanths, jerboa, etc.). -speed and damage: it is extremely faster and stronger than an argentavis but not as fast as a pteranodon, against its life/energy. - electromagnetic wave attack: generally consists of around it an electrical wave, which near electrical devices deactivates them for a period of 120 seconds causing this attack to weaken enemy traps, this can also alter the structures composed of tek element (armor, turrets and frames composed of this element). Cosmetic shriek: produces a shriek similar to that of eagles or hawks, opening their large wings to appear larger. -eagle's eye: when activated mounted on harpagornis, this will give the possibility of seeing the other creatures, serving as a mixture between an advanced telescope and a magnifying glass for its rider giving information about life, unconsciousness and level without the need to approach its prey or future taming. Method of domestication: For its domestication must be use of domesticated creatures, because harpagornis loves to be offered live sacrifices to be tamed by a survivor, the bigger and ferocious the sacrifice the better the effectiveness and domestication of these powerful birds and through this act harpagornis will bring you down by small sandwiches or treasures hidden under their wings. Appearance: Its appearance is loosely based on the largest living forest eagles along with a mixture of fishing eagles such as the harpy, crowned and Philippine eagles, but with obvious differences to give it a distinctive look. Taking as a sample its feather crown like some other large raptors. It would have a high, upright posture when grounded. A small detail worth mentioning is that in real life it had a rather long beak, which I base for its design and art. Additional data: It can be seen hunting and observing all the wild creatures in the ecosystem, as well as hunting and destroying them with its powerful claws. It is larger than an argentavis and more voluminous. In addition to having a rare taste of stalking all the corrupted creatures being even able to grab them and destroy them in a single moment by stunning them and taking them away to be devoured like the current eagles. It appears near cliffs and in the coldest or hottest areas of the map at higher altitudes. Release feathers that serve as a skin substitute or being able to be a new agile armor for the player.
  2. General Information: Torosaurus was a large ceratopsian dinosaur that lived 68-66 million years ago in North America. At 30 ft in length, weighing up to 13,000 lbs, and having a 9 ft long skull, it was one of the largest of the horned dinosaurs. Ark Information: Common Name: Torosaurus Species: Torosaurus iratus (Angry perforated lizard) Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: These behemoths are not something you don’t want to be on their bad side. Torosaurus are very similar to the other ceratopsians I have come across on these Arks, with large horns and a long frill covering the back of its neck. Unlike the Triceratops or the Pachyrinosaurus, however, it was much larger and lives a solitary lifestyle. If you find two of these beast together they are almost always fighting each other. Torosaurus are very territorial and will fight anything or anyone that it seems as a challenger to its turf. There are very few things that can stand up to one of these beast once they start their charge. Torosaurus also have a habit of sharpening their horns before a fight to make them even more dangerous. If you run into one of these dinosaurs, I have one word of advice. DO NOT RUN! Running will trigger it to charge and it won’t stop until it tramples you. If you want to survive a Torosaurus encounter you have to stand your ground. It will view you as a challenger rather than a target to mow down. Once it sees you as a challenger, you either have the option to fight or back down. While backing down might be the safest option, fighting it is the key to domesticating them from what I’ve been told. Domesticated: Those who have tamed a Torosaurus are some of the most hardened survivors I have ever met. They have told me that by standing their ground and fighting, the dinosaur eventually calmed down and they were even able to hop onto its back. It would try to buck them off like a rodeo bull before eventually soothing it with food. Once it has relaxed, the real challenge begins. By leading the Torosaurus to new challengers to fight, the survivors were eventually able to gain their trust. The brave survivors who have tamed them no pose a near unstoppable animal of war at their side. A Torosaur’s charge is powerful enough to plow through lower quantity structures and severely damage high quality ones. They are also impossible to stop once they get going. I’ve been told the only way to stop them from charging is be throwing explosives under their legs. Its horns are also a force to be reckoned with. With the ability to sharpen its horns, it can use them to cut through armor and gore anything that gets in its way. When its horns are blunt, they are more suited for crashing through walls and knocking enemies off their feet. Surprisingly, Torosaurus isn’t just a good war mount. Its powerful legs are also useful in travel and it can carry heavy loads quite well. This animal is also great at scaling rough terrain and is even a fairly good swimmer for a creature of its size. Its temper also seems to heighten its fighting capabilities when it’s in the presence of large animals. Torosaurus it a very versatile creature to have by a survivors side. Torosaurus would be a late game powerhouse herbivore. It would be cable of damaging structures up to metal tier as well as take reduced damage when attacked from the head like the Triceratops. Its main attacks would be a charge and a horn attack. It’ll have two separate modes: Sharpened Horns Mode and Blunt Horns Mode. Sharpened Horns Mode: This mode is activated by Torosaurus scraping its horns on the ground. When this mode is activated, Torosaur’s horn attack deals increased damage and add a bleed affect to the target. Reduced knock back on both attacks. The buff last for 1 minute and has a 2 minute cooldown. Blunt Horns Mode: The natural state for Torosaurus. Charge attack deals more damage to structures and targets. Increased knock back on both attacks. Torosaurus also possesses the Rivalry ability of a Triceratops. Its taming method will be a mix of a Reaper, Amargasaurus, and Carchardontosaurus. First you must damage it bellow 10% health, then hop on its back and guide it towards creatures to fight, feeding it either kibble or healing items periodically. (images are not mine)
  3. Hello my dear Ark survivors. This time I bring you a new dino for the Aberration Map. With overwhelming strength and a special ability that makes him unique among all dinos, I present to you: BLOODYRAPTOR The bloodyraptor is a therapod that mutated from the Ceratosaurus, it underwent different mutations due to the radiation that entered the Ark of Aberration. The main feature that stands out in this dino is its retractable tongue with which it can suck the blood of its victims, but that's not all, since it can use the blood of dinos as a DNA sample to fertilize sterile eggs of the same species of dino from which the sample was drawn. WILD: A shadowy creature that hides in the darkness of the Aberrant Ark, we can find the Bloodyraptor sharing spawm with Ripers and Rock Drakes, so we can find it in radioactive zones or in the light zone. He has a very aggressive temperament and will attack any dino that approaches him, all carnivores respect him and they will not attack him unless they are attacked by one. Its size exceeds that of an allosaurus but is smaller than that of the Riper. DOMESTICATED: Having a BLOODYRAPTOR in your Arsenal is a convenience, since you can do without dinos to breed, just find an unfertilized egg and take a DNA sample from a male of the egg species to have your own fertilized egg ready to incubate. Its great strength and size combined with its sharp fangs and claws make it a voracious predator that can rival any dino in Aberration, it can even put up a good fight with the Riper. Its diet is based exclusively on blood, but once tamed it can eat any type of meat. ATTACKS: Primary Attack: A bite with its strong jaws that deals high damage and collects blood packets. (This would be the second dino from Ark Survival with the ability to extract blood from its victims since only Desmodus is the only one that could do this) Secondary attack: It uses its sharp claws like those of a Deinonychus to inflige scratches that deal bleed damage. special attack: An attack that deals almost no damage using its retractable tongue like a syringe, this attack is used to take DNA samples from dinosaurs which will be saved in the Bloodyraptor's inventary, the DNA sample will have the same appearance as leech blood but in the item data it will say the information of the dino where it was taken from. The attack is so painless that it does not awaken the fury of aggressive dinos towards you. (You can only use this attack every 3 minutes) SKILLS: • The main ability that most attracts our attention of this dino is his ability to fertilize eggs. To do this you need an unfertilized dino egg (either wild or tamed by you), the next thing would be to find a wild male dino of the same species as the egg you want to fertilize, using the special syringe attack with his retractable tongue he will be able to take DNA samples from the dino and it will be saved directly to your inventory. The DNA sample will look the same as leech blood, but it will only be stored in single stacks and the information will tell you what species of dino it is and the level. Then you have to enter the infertile egg in the Bloodyraptor's inventory and select the fertilize option that will appear in the DNA sample (this option will only be enabled if you have an egg of the same species as the sample) The level of the egg's dino will depend the level of the mother that laid the egg and the level of the male dino from the DNA sample remained. What is the downside of fertilizing an egg with the Bloodyraptor? The downside is that dinos born from artificial fertilization will be sterile, males will not be able to reproduce and females will be able to lay eggs but not mate, therefore they will not give fertilized eggs, but this won't be a big problem if you still have a Bloodyraptor on your side, because a DNA sample from your sterile dino is valid to use in the egg of the infertile female, so as long as you have this dino the sterile creatures you have will be useful to breed. •Ability to drain blood with his primary attack just like Desmodus, with a recolection efficiency of 4.7⭐ •You can also collect rotten meat from corpses with the primary attack, the secondary extracts raw meat and prime meat. Pickup Efficiency 4.2⭐ •Can extract Biotoxin from dinos that generates torpor, gathering efficiency 3.0⭐ List of dinos that you can extract Biotoxin from in Aberration: -araneo -arthroplera -Basilisk -beelzebufo -Cnidaria -scorpion -titanoboa •The Bloodyraptor is immune to radiation. •Dinos born from artificial fertilization by means of a Bloodyraptor are also immune to radiation. •It has a utility mount that functions as a wandering smithy. •You can make Sanguine elixir in your inventory (same as a Desmodus) • It has a special bag in its throat where it can store eggs, these can be picked up with the primary attack, making this dino special to steal rock drake eggs, or Wyverns on other maps. Not having to get off the dino to pick up the egg avoids necessary risks and although the Bloodyraptor cannot fly it is a dino strong enough to defend itself against dangerous dinos like rock drakes, but be careful that there are not too many against you or you can lose the fight. HOW TO TAME : The taming method is violent by knockout, you must make it fall unconscious to feed it, the only food you can give it is blood packets, but it won't get hungry unless you feed it with a rock drake egg, the egg will stimulate his appetite for 30 minutes, if he lets the effect wear off, he will stop feeding and you can lose your taming progress, if the dino is not tamed before the first 30 minutes you can give him another rock drake egg to restart his Appetite timer to 30 minutes without losing any of your taming progress. It is not a very complex method but it does take a lot of attention in terms of the course of domestication time. BLOODYRAPTOR OVERVIEW In summary, I can tell you that the Bloodyraptor is a mutation of the Ceratosaurus, excellent for combat, equal in strength to a Rex or Spinosaurus (It can be more or less strong depending on the decision of studio WILDCARD). With a great ability that makes him absolutely unique among the dinos of ark since he can artificially fertilize any sterile egg with a DNA sample from the male dino of the egg's species. Also a great harvesting dino being able to collect resources that almost no dino can collect like blood packs, rotten meat and Biotoxin (Biotoxin can only be extracted from poisonous dinos). He is also a skilled egg thief who can collect them directly from the ground or from the nests without the need for you to get off the dino and as a final touch a useful utilitarian mount that works as a traveling blacksmith, as well as the ability to make the Sanguine Elixir of Desmodus with blood. that Bloodyraptor collects from its victims. I HOPE YOU LIKE MY PROPOSAL FOR ARK ASCENDED ABERRATION AND IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU CAN ADD IT. PS: I want to leave the dino's base stats up to studio WC because I know they can give it a better balance. ADDITIONAL: Soon I will leave you the link of a video on my YouTube channel, explaining the characteristics of the dino. (Audio available only in Spanish, will soon be available with English subtitles) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VOTES, CRITICS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
  4. Looking somewhat like your everyday Tree Frog like in the drawing at the very bottom! This large frog can eat a raptor whole! Having trouble getting across those rivers that would kill you? Well not a problem if you have this creature! Being able to jump 30 times its height it can easily clear those rivers for you! Low on stamina? Just swim across the river! The big frog can not be poisoned due to little creatures that live on its skin! They soak up the poison and feed off of it as that is just what they eat! The frog can swim as deep as it wants in any body of water even if it is those deadly rivers! Moving on to its next ability is being able to have at least 3 riders at once! As this helps in combat and if your trying to tame something big! Another ability is if it gets below half health it will start to give of deadly particles around the target, either knocking them unconscious or killing them. Taming them is not simple as they have to be on land and nesting, yup! This creature will breed and then soon have little tadpoles in water. When 5 minutes old the tadpoles will venture on land, Now there is your chance to tame one of those fellow frogs. Make sure you have a creature you want to kill and make sure it is small like as in dodo size. Then throw or tell the creature to go and stand near the tadpoles as they will be in one big group. They will then eat it and soon one or two will be tamed. Once out of baby/tadpole stage they will grow their legs and look like the adults but mini!
  5. Dossier Wild "The Utahraptor is a cunning predator that prefers to nest in large groups separated from people and creatures alike. While there have been many tales of those who were able to successfully steal from Utahraptor nesting grounds, newer instances are nonexistent. Utahraptors also heavily utilize the darkness to get the jump on unsuspecting prey, including humans. I can't count the number of times Utahraptors have snuck around our defenses and snatched one of our beloved pets, just to swallow it whole. Not to mention the fact that they grab our Pteranodons out of the air time to time. They are truly rulers of the shadows." "RPR can be used to pin fliers, eat small creatures, and kill larger prey. Because of the brutality of RPR, survivors usually use a laying position on the Utahraptor's saddle." Tamed "Utahraptors are incredible at travel, being able to carry small pets and light sources. Torches can even be used by a Utahraptor to burn their prey. These Dromaeosaurs can also traverse almost all vertical terrain, being able to climb zip lines, walls, trees, and even stay put so you can shoot from their backs. Utahraptors can also do something called Raptor Prey Restraint (RPR), in which they jump on their prey and try to balance themselves, while simultaneously shredding their kill to pieces." "If you are somehow mental enough to walk into Utahraptor territory and obtain an egg, the hatched chicklet won't leave your side. They are extremely loyal pets, and also get along quite well with other Dromaeosaurs. Utahraptors are even able to strengthen other Dromaeosaurs such as the Raptor, Deinonychus, and Gigantoraptor to fight against hardy prey that may otherwise kill these squishier creatures." Why The Utahraptor Would Fit In Aberration The Utahraptor is a perfect candidate for Aberration, since it can scale walls and use them as an advantage to prey below them, and to get between zones easily. They can also carry light sources made for Aberration, like the Light Pets and the Glowstick. This ability is also useful in Aberration because it allows a player to give a torch to their Utahraptor to ward off Nameless. I think the Utahraptor would spawn in the Blue Zone with the Aberrant Megalosaurus. This is because in Aberration, players don’t usually have a choice on what boss-fighting creature they can pick, as it’s almost always a Megalosaurus army with the player riding a Rock drake. While there are exceptions to this boss-fighting strategy, it seems to be the most effective, meaning that players don’t really want to pick and mutate another creature to defeat the Aberration boss, since the method stated is already reliable. For this reason, I think the Utahraptor would be perfect to give players variety and a larger selection of Aberration boss-fighting creatures to choose from, since it would still be reliable for this boss tactic. I think that Utahraptor’s niche of being a “Traveling Creature” is also unique and fits into Aberration quite well. The Utahraptor has great carry weight and halves the weight of materials in its inventory, so it can be effective at carrying new materials that players find while exploring. This would make it a reliable tame to enter dangerous areas of Aberration, such as the Red Zone. This is because it can protect the player, and even bring materials from the Zone back to the player’s base. Breaking It Down Wild Behavior "Explanation: In the wild, Utahs have a “Stalking Mode”. If a Utah is able to get the jump on you, it will do significantly more damage on its first hit. Though, if you wear tek and have a large tame, singular Utahraptors might simply just stalk you out of curiosity, and run away shortly after. But, in a group of 2-3, Utahraptors will take their chances and pounce on you if you are in the later game. Utahraptors have great health and devastating melee, being a incredibly good brawling creature. Utahraptors will not take damage from smaller animals due to natural armor. This can be balanced in PVP by making this ability more like natural armor in PVP. Small creatures will still do damage to the Utah, but it will be significantly less than their normal damage. In PVE and Single Player, this ability will completely protect you from smaller, vermin-like animals. This natural armor will be a great repellent for seekers and nameless. The best part is that if the Utahraptor is added to other maps, be prepared for a great counter to the wraith of the Microraptor." Nesting Grounds / Taming "Explanation: Nesting grounds would be set spawn locations on the map, allowing players to easily list and check them so often for new Utah eggs. These locations would be in open fields, where nests would be scattered with many Utahs defending the area. The soil of the nesting grounds will be much different than the surrounding area, making it easier to see. Even though Utah nesting grounds are large and easy to locate, getting the eggs themselves is where the challenge lies. This will be kind of like a hide-and-seek minigame, where the player is required to have bug spray and ghillie on to not be seen. Anything that can be used as a weapon is unequipped, as simplify killing the Utahs would be a cheaty way to get the eggs. Wild Dino’s cannot enter nesting grounds and cannot aggro onto you in nesting grounds. The same goes for tamed creatures. In the nesting ground, there are many rocks, bushes, and logs you can hide behind or in to not be seen by a Utah. As soon as you’re seen, all the Utahs will aggro onto you and more than likely kill you or chase you out of their territory. If you escape alive, the Utahs will get a “Wary” buff. This makes the player want to do good on their first egg heist, as the wary buff will make nesting ground Utahs do more damage and have more health. It will also make them walk around their territory faster if you eventually enter that territory again. Also, Utahs will not chase their prey out of the Nesting Grounds, so players can successfully run out of the territory without having to fight for their life immediately. After a player leaves the Nesting Grounds, the Utahs will hiss at you just at its borders and walk back to their eggs. After stealing one egg, you must be quick if you want to steal more. As soon as the mother of the egg you just stole finds her offspring gone, she will alert her pack and they will get a “Searching” Buff. This is like the “Wary” buff, but instead of combat buffs, the Utahs in the nesting ground will be very quick and have a larger searching range, meaning they can see you from farther away. The “Search” buff is only applied if the player is not found yet. If a player is found, the “Search” buff will be replaced with the “Wary” buff. Over time, Utahraptor nesting grounds will despawn old Utahraptors and replace them, or despawn nesting grounds completely and move them to different locations on the map, giving the illusion that the Utahraptors are moving. Also, Utahraptors don’t JUST spawn in nesting grounds. Packs of 1-3 can spawn in random points in the world, just small hunting grounds you must be careful of. Utahraptors like very dark places, so they would probably love the deeper zones in Aberration." Pack Buff (Multi-Species) "Explanation: Utahraptors, when tamed, can call on the help of other dromeosaurids (That being the Raptor, Deinonychus, and Gigantoraptor. Smaller Dromeosaurs are excluded, such as Microraptor.) When in the vicinity of the Utahraptor, Deinonychus, Gigantoraptors, and Raptors will deal the same amount of damage the Utah is doing. (If there are multiple Utahs alongside the mix-matched pack, the dromeosaurs will take the stats of the highest level Utah among them.) They will also have an increase in their health to help them take more damage. I’m not sure what would happen if the tamed Raptors, Deinonychus, or Gigantoraptors walked away from the Utahraptor and what would happen to their health. I would say that this extra amount of health is like a shield, and after it is gone through by an enemy, the raptor or deinonychus will return to its normal healthpool. Though, these buffed dromeosaurs will still have their damage buff if their “Shield” made by the Utahraptor is broken. If a Raptor, Deinonychus, or Gigantoraptor stray too far from their Utah friend, they will simply go back to the same amount of health they had BEFORE being close to the Utah. This ability would NOT be a call like the Yutyrannus (The Yutyrannus roar having to be replenished every so often to keep your dino tames strong), as it would be very confusing and hard to code in that way, due to the health buff given to the other Dromaeosaurids. If you want to give a Dromaeosaur their health buff again if an enemy got rid of it, send them away from the Utahraptor and wait around 10-30 seconds. This is because there will be a cooldown for the Dromaeosaurs to get the buff again, as it would prevent players from constantly having the buff enabled at certain intervals. The cooldown will prevent players from constantly wailing on Dino’s or other players. In a group of only Utahs, everything mentioned above is still usable and would work the same. (Ex. Highest level Utah’s stats will apply to lower levels, etc.)" RPR (Raptor Prey Restraint) "Explanation: When doing RPR, Utahraptors regen food and health. Note that RPR is different from the deinonychus pounce, as it doesn’t do bleed. Rather, it takes raw damage out of the Utah’s victim. It also does increased damage compared to any other attack, doing around a 10% -20% damage increase to their victims. Utahraptors use a good amount of stamina using this ability. Eating a creature will happen if the small creature can be bitten and killed in one attack, whether it be with the Utahraptor’s sickle claw attack (More Damage) or bite attack (Less Damage). To balance this more for PVP, this eating ability can only be available on PVE and Single Player, where the Utahraptor can eat smaller creatures regardless of its stats or health. It can still be used in PVP, but maybe the Utahraptor can pick up the prey and bite to drain its health, where it can still attack back, like the Megalosaurus. Utahraptors can ground any flier, but doing so won’t do damage until the Utahraptor starts biting / Slashing said flier. A flier will have a small cooldown before they can try to fly again. Utahraptors have a longer cooldown to do RPR specifically for grounding fliers, therefore cannot stun lock a flier. The Utahraptor only has one chance to stun and kill a flier, but if they miss it, then their chance is gone until the flier lands again and the cooldown is up. Also, a Utahraptor can pin a flier and have a cooldown for it but can still do RPR on any other larger creature. RPR is stamina based, not cooldown based. And, I would say that snatching fliers and eating creatures would still use the RPR trigger button but would not actually be RPR. It would just trigger if you tried to use RPR on a flying creature soaring away or a small creature running away. I think RPR (On large targets) would work like a mini game, where you must tap at certain times to keep your Utahraptor balanced when you first jump on the creature. I say at first, as I believe you would first have to do the mini game to balance, then you are allowed to wail on your prey. The Utah will not take stamina when balancing, and balancing will take about 5 seconds to make it tolerable. I think this mini game would be like the Stryder taming minigame or the RPR minigame in Saurian, but it’s up to the Devs on this one!" Climbing & Latching Onto Surfaces Explanation: The Utahraptor has many different abilities pertaining to wall-scaling. First, they have their “Sentry” wall-scaling Variant. This Mode is like a cannon-type ability, where the rider can shoot off the back of the Utah while it is stationary on a wall or tree, using its talons and claws to stay put. This variant takes stamina, but at a slower rate than most other wall-latching creatures. This wall-latching variant can also be utilized to tranquilize future tames. Another mode is their “Ambush” Variant. If a player correctly times it, they can scale up a wall or tree, do a 360 and jump down, and click to do RPR on a large victim if in range. This will also give a short “Ambush” buff to the Utah, allowing them to do more damage on their first bite when doing RPR on an enemy. The last wall-scaling variant is the “Normal” Variant. Scaling walls is Stamina-based, meaning if you have a Utahraptor with tons of Stamina, you may be able to scale any cliff with not much issue. Unlike the Deinonychus, the Utahraptor will not have to jump multiple times to scale up a cliff, rather they will flap their wings and run up the surface at a constant rate unless the player wants to do their “Sentry” variant OR their “Ambush” Variant of the Wall-Scaling Ability. Once a Utahraptor reaches the top of the surface they are scaling, they will heave themselves over the edge and walk normally again. If the developers wanted to go even crazier, they could add a horizontal wall-scaling ability for the Utahraptors (Ex. Jedi Fallen Order, most story-based adventure games), but I think that would be a bit tough to implement. Like the Ravenger, Utahraptors can also walk along zip-lines. This would make one more creature with this useful ability and would hopefully get the ability fixed for both creatures. This would also fit perfectly for the Utahraptor’s “Adventure Creature” niche. Picking Up Light Sources & Tames "Explanation: Utahraptors can pick up unconscious tames, ONLY if they are small enough AND they were knocked out by the player riding the Utahraptor or their tribe. Utahraptors have two main attacks, that being their kicks and bites (A extra animation for a wing slash could be added for variation and for another ability I will talk about. Cosmetic wing slashes would do the same amount of damage as a kick.) The damage difference between these two attacks is very minimal, meaning it doesn’t matter if you use one or the other. A Utahraptor will utilize its kicks more when holding a tame but will also slash its winged claws if you click the bite button. Slashes could replace bites when holding a tame. Something useful about the ability to hold small tames in a Utah’s mouth, specifically in Aberration, is that it would not only allow you to hold a glow pet, but to also have two glow pets at a time. (One with the Utah, one with the Player). This could make the Utah a great contender against reapers. Tames in your Utah’s mouth cannot attack anything unless set down by the Utah. I also think that the button for letting go of tames should be hard to access or misclick easily, so players don’t mistakenly press a button and drop their tames. When mounted on your Utah, there is a key you can press which will open a small menu listing all the items in your inventory that can be used as a light source. You can select one of these, and the Utahraptor will hold it in its mouth! The same process can be done to unequip the item. Utahraptors cannot pick up small tames or do “Eating RPR” (Eating a small animal whole) when holding a light source (This also applies to when you are holding a tame in your Utah’s mouth). If the Utahraptor is given a light source that is fire based (AKA not a Glowstick), it will be utilized in the Utah’s fighting, which will replace their bite in turn for high amounts of fire damage. Utahs can also pick up place-able light items with different fuels, mostly standing torches with either wood as fuel or angler gel as fuel. When a Utahraptor picks them up, the fuel is infinite. When placed back down, the item will have the same amount of fuel it was left with. (Or there can be a mechanic for refueling the fuel while on your Utah, but that may be too complicated.) Utahraptors overall have good carry weight and will half the weight of materials in its inventory, making it great for traveling and finding new resources (I would say it has about 900 or 1000 in Weight.)" The Utahraptor's Saddle I mentioned something about Utahraptor’s saddle earlier, where you would have to lay on it due to how much the Utahraptor moves during RPR. I think the player would sit on the Utahraptor like how you lay on aquatic creatures. I think there would also be straps to keep you secure and pelt on the saddle to make it more comfortable for the player to sit in. In real context, riding a giant creature trying to balance on a larger one is certainly a quick way to get thrown off. (This Idea Is Purely for Cosmetic Purposes.) Regular Utahraptor Variation Notes If you read this whole submission, thank you so much! Please consider voting for the UTAHRAPTOR if you liked it! I unfortunately could not fit all the artwork I did for this submission due to file sizes, but I kept the photos that are the most important in the submission. Have A Good Day! Thanks For Reading!
  6. Hi all, I would like to introduce a new way that herbivores could be used to join the fight, Macrauchenia sommesonus! Macrauchenia was a lipotern ungulate living during the Pleistocene epoch until around 10,000 years ago and looked like a giant llama with a trunk. In Ark its trunk could be used for sound-based combat and deafening opponents. Macrauchenia was a large herbivore that would be able to hold its own against most predators on Ragnarok as well as harvest thatch and berries. As a pack animal Macrauchenia is specialised at carrying building pieces, perfect for assisting cave runs and boss fights. Here's some reasons why Macrauchenia would be great for Ragnarok- · Shout attack- the more Macrauchenia are using the attack, the louder the sound! Damage caused by their attack will stack, eventually preventing enemy command whistles and courage roars and doing crazy high damage. · Has a sound buff caused by enemy roars · Reduced carry weight on building pieces · Tamed using wardrums · A herbivore that’s good in combat, and a more unique mechanic to fight with Dossier Wild Since humanity all but disappeared, the Arks became much quieter. That is, except for one creature who’s booming calls fill the silence- Macrauchenia. These giant, long-nosed llamas wander across the plains and communicate at distance with deep, trumpeting calls. And the more Macrauchenia that get involved, the more deafening the noise becomes. Wild Macrauchenia are drawn towards other loud noises; more musical tribes have been able to domesticate them by playing wardrums. They are the only creatures I have seen that even enjoy the roaring of predators and are able to defend themselves against a louder foe much more effectively than a silent one. Domesticated Macrauchenia can be used as a beast of burden just as well as camels back home. They are particularly adept at carrying walls and flooring material to wherever you plan to build. One single Macrauchenia is not very powerful in combat, however a large group of them can be devastating. With enough Macrauchenia you can completely deafen your opponent, making them unable to hear commands. The only protection I have found from this is to wear a fur hat to muffle their sound. Wild behaviour · Lives in the plains, desert and snow (near rexes and yutys) · Only attacks when provoked · If nearby rexes or yutys roar, then will become aggressive to all nearby enemies (and receive a defence buff) · Herbivore Taming · Will move towards wardrums when played · Starts a minigame where you play the wardums to the same rhythm as the Macrauchenia’s noise. Good timing will tame more quickly. Losing the beat will reduce taming effectiveness. Utility Pack mule · Fast walk speed and slow stamina drain · Reasonably fast swim speed for a large herbivore (similar speed to an Amarga) · High stamina (450), weight (800) and health (720) stats · Weight reduction of 50% on all building materials In combat · Bulky herbivore with a similar power level to chalicotheriums and woolly rhinos · Significant power buff when roared at, either by rexes or yutys. Similar buff to bug killer on Megatheriums. · Immune to enemy fear roars · Main attack is the sound attack but can also kick and bite for reasonably good damage. · As it’s a herbivore can eat sweet veggie cakes Sound attack · Attack that has a medium distance and large AOE (meaning they can stand behind your more tanky tames and still do damage) · Disables nearby enemy parasurs · Takes damage twice per second and has fast stamina drain · Very low damage when only using one Macrauchenia but stacks as you add more creatures becomes exponentially more powerful. Damage is also increased by levelling. · Three or more using a sound attack will trigger the deafened debuff- blocks targets from hearing commands and courage roars · Damage caps at six Macrauchenia- at this stage the damage would be insane and probably enough to shred through many bosses · Can be blocked by wearing a fur hat or Tek helmet Damage calculations for sound attack · Starts at base 1 damage per tick if 100% melee · Every Macrauchenia added doubles the power of the attack · Although these numbers don’t seem too huge this attack has a longer range than biting, and is much faster. The DPS is probably not far behind that of gigas and would be much higher than many rexes. Number of Macrauchenia attacking Base DPS at 100% melee Total DPS if all have 100% melee Base DPS at 1000% melee Total DPS if all have 1000% melee 1 1 1 10 10 2 2 4 20 40 3 4 12 40 120 4 8 32 80 320 5 16 80 160 800 6 32 192 320 1920 7 64 448 640 4480 (is this too broken?) · 6 Macrauchenia with 1000% melee will do faster damage to most bosses than Deinonychus bleed (so there may need to be a damage cap to stop this being completely broken). 7 1000% damage Macrauchenia could kill a level 1 wild giga in less than 20 seconds · These calcs are not even using the yuty courage buff or sound buff mentioned earlier- maybe these should not affect the sound attack to stop Macrauchenia from absolutely destroying everything What are your thoughts? I've tried to make this concept a little balanced (but have got carried away with damage calc at the end). Are there any changes you would make? Thanks for reading!
