Pentaceratops imperialis [Impenetrable Bulwark]
PieTheMath posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Pentaceratops imperialis [Impenetrable Bulwark] Heavy Tanking Herbivore A large ceratopsian with an even larger head, Pentaceratops are quite the sight to see in the wild. Often traveling in tightly knit herds, Pentaceratops are docile to everything except the largest carnivores. Should the herd come under threat by a massive predator, they will lash out aggressively, easily being able to best their foes. When tamed, Pentaceratops serve as an excellent war mount as well as base defense, being able to form sturdy walls should a tribe come into ownership of a group of them. In combat they can employ this skill to form an impenetrable shield wall, allowing their war band to march forward free of threat from enemy guns and cannons. Defensively, these massive beasts can from extensive bulwarks to shield bases and anything their tribe so chooses. Abilities [Passive] Safety In Numbers When in a group of 3 or more, Pentaceratops receives a defense boost [Ability 1] Stance Change Pentaceratops changes stances, as the name implies. There are a total of 4 stances, Bulwark, Marching Wall, Battering Ram, and Neutral. -Neutral: Base wild stance, no stat changes. -Bulwark: Pentaceratops lowers its body to the ground, laying down with it's huge frill acting as a wall blocking incoming damage for the rider and any tames or structures behind its massive frill. While in this stance Pentaceratops cannot move and damage to the head in this stance would heal Pentaceratops and charge up its Battering Ram stance. When in this stance other Pentaceratops may "lock up", forming a very durable wall. -Marching Wall: Pentaceratops lock up in a line formation, their frills forward as they march. Damage is greatly reduced and any damage taken or dealt by Pentaceratops charges up its Battering Ram stance. -Battering Ram: Upon charging its gauge sufficiently, all Pentaceratops in the Bulwark/Marching Wall formation charge forward, entering their offensive stance. Their damage is boosted in this stance, making them a very credible threat. Pentaceratops does increased damage to structures in this stance, making it an excellent frontliner or seige beast. [Ability 2] Taunt Pentaceratops lets out a loud roar, stamping its feet on the ground and shaking its massive frill in a threat display. This taunt would function like the magmasaur, drawing aggro to Penta so it or its allies can finish them off. Attacks [Attack 1] Headbutt Slow headbutt that does heavy damage and knockback. Disabled in Bulwark mode. In Battering Ram this attack does enhanced damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 2] Light Stomp Directional light stomp, light damage and knockback. Disabled in Bulwark mode. [Attack 3] Heavy Stomp A heavy AOE stomp, does heavy damage and little knockback. Disabled in Bulwark and Marching Shield mode. In Battering Ram this attack does enhanced damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 4] Charge Only available in Battering Ram and Neutral mode. Does heavy damage and high knockback. When in Battering Ram this attack does heavy damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 5] Head Sweep Only available in Bulwark and Marching Shield mode. Does little damage and exceptional knockback. Saddles Base Saddle A normal saddle, leather and metal. Pentaceratops is ridden on a seat strapped to the side of its body, allowing the rider to see. Heavy Armor Pentaceratops’s entire front half is covered in plate armor, its horns tipped with long blades, providing exceptional protection and offensive ability. A walled platform rises above the frill, where the rider stands along with up to two other people. In addition, it also makes Pentaceratops immune to most knockback as well as completely nullifying melee damage from the front and boosting damage to structures while reducing movement speed. Forgot to mention it but all art was done by Sophocles Common Name : Tylosaurus Species : Tylosaurus necrodon Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : Carnivorous Temperament : Aggressive Wild: Until recently I thought I had seen all the oceans of the ark had to offer. That was before I came across Tylosaurus necrodon. While in real life Tylosaurus and Mosasaurus were near the same size and rivals, the Tylosaurus of the ark seems to have taken a different approach to things. It is significantly smaller and has a body plan more suited for speed rather than the mosasaurs' brutish size and strength. I have also found some evidence that Tylosaurus seems to have some sort of venom which could be attributed to its close relation to modern day monitor lizards and snakes. Domesticated: A tamed Tylosaurus is a necessity for any survivors who plan to venture into the depths of the arks oceans. Its sturdy slender body makes it the perfect candidate for a primitive submarine saddle. I've also seen some tribes collect Tylosaurus venom to use as a substitute for narcotics when taming creatures. Taming: To tame a Tylosaurus you must show it you are able to handle its speed. It'd be very similar to how you tame Equus and Andrewsarchus where you have to feed it a certain item then wrestle it in a rodeo scenario. Submarine: The Tylosaurus would have an industrial looking saddle similar to the Andrewsarchus’s. It would fully surround the survivor and provide oxygen that can be replenished by surfacing or beaching the tylo. The saddle would also have 2 propellers that can be powered by gasoline which would allow the tylo to increase its speed even more and build up to a ram attack. Venom Tylo’s primary attack will increase Stamina drain, and cause torpor gain based on how much they move and burn Stamina. However the real use of it comes with taming other creatures. Survivors will be able to collect venom and use it as an narcotic version of sanguine elixir where it will automatically fill half of the target's torpor bar. It only works on creatures already knocked out though. Alternatively you can use the venom to make a special type of dart that has the same effects of tylo’s primary bite(stamina drain/torpor gain based on how much they move and burn Stamina) which would be especially useful against flyers. Raming: In real life Tylosaurus was thought to use its blunt shaped head as a ram to ambush and stun its prey. In game you will be able to charge a strong ram attack while using its saddle's propellers. The more momentum the tylo picks up the more damage the charge does. Stuns: The rubber in the saddle cancels out all stuns from eels and jelly fish. However and unsaddled tylo will still be vulnerable to stuns. General Things to Clarify: Ive seen some people comment about a few things so i just wanna add a couple of ideas here that i may have forgotten to add in the main submission. Firstly the saddle will allow you to breach the surface of the water. Also in case you end up landing on land tylo will be able to beach itself and return to the water in a similar vein as modern day orcas. This art is just concept stuff and i imagine the ingame tylo to be more around basi size. Also i imagine the saddle to be more of a sleep capsule type thing.

Intro Greeting and salutations, fellow Survivors! I have an absolutely amazing concept for you all; one that will leave you trembling in your boots... literally! A powerful beast capable of gathering stone, tanking damage, busting down doors, and more, this is a powerful door-smasher that will take Scorched Earth by storm! Without further ado, I present... Autremus, The Titanic Bighorn Wild Wild Autremus typically spawn in small herds, between 4 to 6 members in size. They are usually rather calm, but when attacked they become highly aggressive, with a large aggro radius. They are also rather fast, outrunning most survivors, and they can break through boulders, trees, and some structures in their way when they charge, making it difficult to evade them. They can be bola-ed, but once free they will move twice as fast for a five second period. They are also highly territorial in the presence of their natural enemies, meaning Dire Wolves, Saberteeth, Daeodon, and Thylacoleo, so be careful when traveling upon the backs of any of these tames, as Autremus deals an additional 10% damage to these creatures.. Autremus will also flee from Wyverns of any kind (including Voidwyrms and Rock Drakes), as the breath weapons of Wyverns, Crystal Wyverns, and Voidwyrms do 25% increased damage to Autremus. Autremus' fear of Wyverns overrides their hatred of their natural enemies, so use this fear to your advantage when fleeing or fighting Autremus. Taming Taming the Autremus is rather straightforward, simply increase its torpor, then feed it it's favorite food. Pretty simple, right? Yeah, its simple. But not easy, thats for sure. Autremus has torpor similar to an Allosaurus, but its 15% damage reduction combined with its slow torpor gain makes it take even longer to knockout, and once it is knocked out, its torpor drains faster than most other creatures. Its preferred taming foods are also rather difficult. It only consumes Superior Kibble, Cactus Broth, Cactus Sap, Savoroot, or Rockarrot, although the two former will provide a much faster tame than the other three. Domesticated Autremus are useful for collecting stone and sand in greater quantities. They gain 2x stone per hit and 1.5x times sand per hit, and they reduce the weight of both by 75%. They can also gather Metal, Sulfur, and Obsidian at 1.25x per hit, and reduce the weight of them by 50%. Combine this with their high-weight capacity (comparable to an Argentavis) and large, slow-draining stamina pool, they are extremely useful for gather stone resources. Autremus is also sandstorm-immune, and provides high heat insulation to its rider (and minor protection for allied survivors nearby)! Keep in mind that their food drains slightly faster though, so make sure their inventory is properly stocked with Cactus Sap, Savoroot, and Rockarrot! Their saddle can also be used to craft any type of ammunition or explosive crafted within the Smithy or Fabricator. Autremus are also useful for raiding, as they take 25% less damage from turrets and 15% less damage from all other sources (excluding wyvern breath attacks). While a saddle is not needed to ride them, their saddle allows them to take 35% less damage from explosions, although it does not affect their other damage reductions. They can also bust through Thatch and Wood structures in one hit, Stone in three hits, Adobe in five, Metal in seven, and Tek in nine. Keep in mind that Autremus becomes stunned for a gradually increasing amount of time based on the structure they hit, with the exception of Thatch and Wood. Bashing into Stone stuns them for six seconds, Adobe for ten seconds, Metal for fourteen, and Tek for eighteen, so it is advisable to bring extra Autremus in a raid. Autremus also create small dust clouds when three or more of them ram into another tame or player within 2 seconds of each other. These dust clouds function as a mini-sandstorm, slowing down the target for 10 seconds and swiftly draining their stamina. This ability has a 15-second cool down.
