im no game dev by any means and it would honestly prob b very glitchy (i mean. its wildcard), but i think wildfires and thunderstorms would be cool. like maybe even droughts, idk welcome 2 my ted talk. it just feels like ark 2 has potential (on my knees hoping its not a failure) for things like this, and ark 2 (if its actually good) could prob be one of the best survival games if it expands onto even minor details (ofc, its ark, so very hesitant)

DierLikesDoingArt posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Creature Name: Thalassoleon (Prehistoric Sea Lion) Real-life Information: Thalassoleon is inspired by the prehistoric sea lions, which existed during the late Miocene to early Pliocene epochs, approximately 10 to 5 million years ago. These ancient sea lions were characterized by their robust bodies, elongated flippers, and adaptations for both land and water. They likely inhabited coastal areas and were skilled swimmers. Dossier: Wild: Thalassoleon magnus, known as the Thalassoleon, is a fearsome predator that dominates the coastal regions of Valguero. Resembling its prehistoric ancestors, Thalassoleon possesses a powerful and streamlined body, adapted for swift movement both in water and on land. Its elongated snout houses sharp teeth, designed to catch and tear through its prey. The Thalassoleon's agility in the water is unmatched, allowing it to effortlessly navigate the depths and pursue its aquatic prey. It is a versatile hunter, skilled in catching fish and other marine creatures. On land, it can move with surprising speed, allowing it to quickly ambush unsuspecting creatures that stray too close to the shoreline. Tamed: Once tamed, Thalassoleon becomes an invaluable companion for survivors. Its exceptional swimming abilities and adaptability make it an excellent mount for underwater exploration. Its powerful build enables it to carry heavy loads, making it ideal for transporting resources across water bodies. Thalassoleon's presence can intimidate other sea creatures, providing a protective aura for survivors during underwater expeditions. Additionally, its remarkable strength and ferocity make it a formidable combatant, capable of defending its owner against hostile forces both underwater and on land. Known Information: Thalassoleon has developed a specialized ability to emit a captivating aura that enhances the collection of pearls and other valuable resources. While nearby, survivors and their tames have an increased chance of finding pearls in the surrounding area. Thalassoleon possesses remarkable endurance and can withstand extended periods of time underwater. It can hold its breath for an impressive duration, allowing it to explore deeper and more dangerous underwater territories. Its sharp teeth and powerful bite make it a formidable predator, capable of taking down larger aquatic creatures. Survivors can utilize Thalassoleon's hunting prowess to secure food and defend against underwater threats. Thalassoleon is highly intelligent and trainable. With patience and care, survivors can develop a strong bond with their Thalassoleon, unlocking its full potential and loyalty. Thalassoleon's unique appearance, with its elongated snout and muscular physique, sets it apart from other marine creatures. Its prehistoric lineage adds an element of fascination and intrigue to those who encounter it. Abilities: Pearl Aura: Thalassoleon emits a captivating aura that enhances the collection of pearls and other valuable underwater resources. While nearby, survivors and their tames have an increased chance of finding pearls in the surrounding area. Aquatic Adaptation: Thalassoleon is perfectly adapted to the aquatic environment. Offering it food and establishing trust over time will gradually win its loyalty. Once tamed, Thalassoleon becomes a faithful companion and a formidable asset in underwater adventures and territorial defense. While it requires careful attention and maintenance, the rewards of having a Thalassoleon by your side are immense. Survivors who invest time and effort into nurturing a Thalassoleon will gain a powerful ally capable of thriving in both the land and sea environments of Valguero. Danger Assessment: Encountering a wild Thalassoleon poses significant risks. Its size, strength, and predatory nature make it a formidable opponent in both water and on land. Survivors should exercise caution when approaching or engaging with a wild Thalassoleon, ensuring they are adequately prepared with suitable weaponry and defenses. However, the rewards of taming and harnessing the power of a Thalassoleon outweigh the risks. With proper training and management, survivors can unleash the creature's full potential and establish an unbreakable bond with this ancient and powerful prehistoric sea lion.
