REAL LIFE: Razana is a very large prehistoric crocodile found in Madagascar that had the same teeth as Tyrannosaurus. It had 46 to 48 teeth which fell out and grew back and were more serrated than T Rex's which were used for breaking bones and tendons. Scientists said that the advanced theropods weren't immune from being hunted by Razana. Suspected as a scavenger and ambush predator, it would burst out of hiding to ambush its prey and is capable of pretty good speed and more than likely more efficiently than modern crocodiles. IN GAME: In terms of abilities, maybe Razana's Teeth are so powerful at breaking bones that after biting its prey or foes, it can cripple them making them unable to sprint or jump as long as they have said debuff. Razana could be same strength wise if not slightly weaker than Rex/Spino so it still has capablity of fighting in boss fights, raids to slow down opposing creatures with their crippling bites, maybe even swing their tail at them, maybe even pin opponents down with their jaws and shake them around. Razana would also be immune to most if not all debuffs due to their thick hide making them a great creature for tanking attacks that apply debuffs. Would also be a decent counter to Shadowmanes. To Tame it, maybe you need to let it grab you with its jaws and upon it doing so, you feed it its preferred food to which it will be passive for a bit then you repeat until its tamed. Saddle maybe be same level wise as Rex/Spino or lower. Saddle could be like Andrewsarchus where the rider is safe inside a box on its back NEW IDEAS FROM COMMENTS: Grapple Creatures up to Rex sized draining stamina and bleeding, resistant to bullets due to crocodile hides being thick

"It's ironic that the largest terrestrial predator in the age of mammals was a reptile..." Common name: Barinasuchus Species: Barinasuchus Arveloi (Although for the name of Ark's fictional version I would like to propose Barinasuchus Superbus, below you'll see why) Time: Miocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Barinasuchus is a sebecid crocodylomorph from Venezuela and it was way larger than any terrestrial mammalian predator from the Cenozoic, being a reptile and holding the title of the apex predator of it's region right in the middle of the age of mammals is an extremely impressive feat, which is why I would like to propose a version of Barinasuchus in Ark that specializes in countering mammalian predators: Wild: Barinasuchus is a solitary hunter and unlike it's crocodilian cousins that like to inhabit the swamps of the Ark Barinasuchus prefers to roam the plains, the deep of the jungles, forests and sometimes even the edges of the tundra in search of prey, I know, you wouldn't expect to see something that looks like a crocodile in places like that, but it's long legs and it's defiant attitude let's it live in those places and to stand against the other terrestrial predators, specially against mammals! If any tribe is pretending to stand against these beasts be wary of bringing any tamed mammalian predators to fight it, as it seems to become way more aggressive and faster when it's near one of them. Domestication: No idea at the moment. Tamed: Tribes that managed to tame a Barinasuchus will soon learn that is the perfect creature to bring to fight against any wild or enemy tribe's mammalian carnivores or onmivores, when facing against these Barinasuchus starts acting more proud, defiant and dangerous, it also seems like is completely immune to the special abilities of these mammals, even preventing it's rider from being dismounted by a desmodus or wild thylacoleos! However it doesn't seem to act this way when facing against dinosaurs or other types of beasts so is probably not the ideal creature to use against them, why is this apparent rivalry only against mammals is a mystery to me... Also apart from being a fantastic creature to hunt with and collect meat, it's also very adept in collecting pelt. Ark Meta: Combat: Barinasuchus would be the perfect counter against mammalian predators, when being near one it will enter the "Arrogant stance" which will grant it an attack buff and makes it immune to their special abilities, more specifically: immune to the bleed from thylacoleos and ravagers; prevents it's rider from being dismounted by purlovia, desmodus and wild thylacoleos; immune to the slow from the dinopithecus feces; immune to the shadowmane's stun and managarmr's freeze (I'm not sure if the game counts these last two as mammals too, as in the ark wiki the shadowmane is categorized as Fantasy Creatures/Fish/Mammals and the Managarmr is under Fantasy Creature/Mammals, but they look very mammalian like and they are carnivores so I'll include them), when hitting any of these creatures it will fill a combo bar (similar to a shadowmane), once it's filled it will do a charged bite that also deals extra damage, when killing any mammal it will gain a temporary speed buff like the Carcharo, all of these can make it a perfect alternative to bring to fight bosses like the Megapithecus, King Dinopithecus or even Fenrir. While being immune to all of these abilities may seem like a bit overpowered keep in mind that it doesn't gain the "Arrogant stance" when fighting other types of creatures like dinosaurs and is still susceptible to any other creatures abilities: affected by the bleed of a carnotaurus, the breath of a wyvern, snow owls can freeze it, a ptera can dismount the rider, etc, etc... Transportation: it gets a temporary speed buff every time it kills a mammal so is a decent mount to use to travel through the ark, also because it prevents it's rider from being dismounted from purlovia or wild thylacoleos it would finally be a safe mount to use while being in the redwoods (Well, almost... looking at you microraptor) Meat and Pelt Gatherer: It can harvest tons of meat like any other large carnivore but through the radial menu an option to gather more pelt can be toggled on, it reduces the weight of pelt in it's inventory by 50% so you can go to a snow biome with it and go crazy! Roar: because every creature should have a roar or at least some sort of emote for fun, in Barinasuchus case it would be more like a growl since crocodiles don't roar but still. If you made it to this part thank you so much for reading all of this and I would very much appreciate if you consider to give this creature your vote, I think that Ark needs more crocodylomorph representation and Barinasuchus could bring something new and unusual to the table, keep in mind that this is just a concept and it doesn't have to be exactly like this but I think that a "counter of mammals" would be extremely cool, specially considering that in PvP creatures like Desmodus, Managarmr and Shadowmanes are really common.
