  1. This is my submission for the community vote for a creature for the Extinction DLC. I’m going to do the first little bit in Dossier format because it is a useful base. Wild: They Cacops are not to different from those I used to know only through fossils, though admittedly a little bit bigger. They seem rather peaceful, hanging around beaches. They like to eat bugs, which they catch with their long strong tongue, though I am not sure that they had this tongue naturally in the past. Perhaps the tongue is like the venom spitting of Dilophosaurus I have encountered. Domesticated: Once you befriend and domesticate a Cacops, they can be a useful companion. They can ride on their owner’s shoulder and have a calming effect on people. Their tongue can be used to grapple creatures many times the Cacops’s size and experience survivors can even use their Cacops as a living grappling hook. They also seem to have no qualms with being used as living pillows, and they as so cute! Cacops drawing Wiki page I think that Cacops would be passively tamed. As an amphibian there would probably be a tadpole form that hatches from eggs laid by a Cacops that would in turn grow up into the air breathing Cacops. As the real world Cacops was very small, I think it would be sized up in Ark, but no bigger than a cat I’d say. (Sorry there is no fancy color or anything on this submission.)
  2. Common name: Koolasuchus Species: Koolasuchus Caementus Time: Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Ambushing Wild: Koolasuchus Caementus is the largest amphibian on the island and also the most gluttonous creature i have seen so far in the ark, sporting sizes of those of spinosaurus. It inhabits freshwater areas, being more commonly found in rivers where it ambush his preys..... These creatures stays buried in the riverbed almost all his life. Being the only sign of his pressence a column of bubbles that emerges from the riverbed. This titanic amphibian eats his prey whole, the creature opens his maws so quickly that it causes a vortex of water that leads his preys directly to his mouth. Like moderns abyssal fish Koolasuchus Caementus can double or triple the size of his stomach in order to eat preys that are even bigger than him, this sometimes leads to koolasuchus sofocating due to the extreme size of his prey. These creatures are so gluttonous that they eat everything that gets in his way, causing them to eat valuable resources, armors, weapons, etc.... Some survivor hunt them to get these valuable resources. Domesticated: When domesticated Koolasuchus Caementus proves itself as an excellent siege and support creature. It can swallow allies to save them from dangerous situations or, it can swallow enemy mounts or survivors!!!, but this incredible ability comes with his drawbacks, if Koolasuchus has swallowed an enemy or a ally, it becomes sluggish and more susceptible to damage. Also Koolasuchus can fill his stomach with acid and then it can shoot that acid as a mortar, disolving through metal structures and gear. But as said, Koolasuchus Caementus comes with probably his biggest drawback, Koolasuchus has to be wet most of the time or his skin will become fragile....... Now lets explain everything in detail: Taming: Koolasuchus can be found in freshwater areas of the map (specially in the Aberration areas of extinction) and is a passive tame, the only sign of his pressence would be a colum of bubbles that emerges from the riverbed, in order to make Koolasuchus emerge from the riverbed you will have to carefully place honey in front of him, or you will ruin the taming (i will explain this later), when Koolasuchus has emerged from the riverbed it will start to swim around, sometimes it will open his mouth, is then when you have to swim to his mouth and feed it with his favourite food honey or prime fish meat (I haven't deciced yet), after sometime you will have a tamed Koolasuchus. Now i will explain the two states of wild Koolasuchus: - Aggresive Mode: If you come to close to Koolasuchus when is buried in the riverbed, it will start attacking you, so you have to be extra careful when placing honey in front of him, when Koolasuchus is aggressive it can't be tamed, this means Koolasuchus will not reset, and will be aggressive for all eternity, disabling taming forever. But when this state is activated, Koolasuchus will drop valuable resources when killed like said in the dossier (The rarity, number of items and the value of the items will depend on Koolasuchus level). - Taming Mode: This state is activated when Koolasuchus have been unearthed from the riverbed with honey. As said Koolasuchus will start to swim around the area opening his mouth casually, letting the survivor to feed it and tame it. Fragile Mode: This state is activated when Koolasuchus dryes, the survivor will know the humidity of Koolasuchus thanks to a bar similar to giganotosaurus rage bar. When the bar reaches 0, Koolasuchus will dry, making it more succepteable to dmg and torpor, also slowing it greatly. You can recover humidity by going in water with Koolasuchus. But thanks to Koolasuchus special saddle you can carry water like a canteen, waterskin or water jar. This specialized saddle lets you carry great amounts of water that can be used to hydrate Koolasuchus when needed. This saddle lets the survivor rehydrate Koolasuchus up to 3 times. Abilities and attacks: - Left Click: Bite - Right Click: Swallow, Koolasuchus will swallow one enemy or ally, when Koolasuchus has swallowed anything his stomach will expand making him more vulnerable to all sorts of weapons and attacks, and also slowing Koolasuchus. If Koolasuchus swallows an ally, the ally will be save in Koolasuchus stomach, preventing it from receiving any damage (maybe it also heals allies inside his stomach???), to regurgigate the ally right click again, the ally can also free himself by clicking multiple times. When Koolasuchus has swallowed an enemy, the enemy inside Koolasuchus will start to receive damage gradually, the only way to scape Koolasuchus stomach is by punching from the inside of his stomach, when enough damage is deal Koolachus will regurgitate the enemy. Koolasuchus can also swallow allied and enemy mounts. - Space bar( Mortar mode): Koolasuchus will fill his stomach with acid, making it more vulnerable, and preventing it from moving. When this mode is activated, the rider of Koolasuchus will be granted a bird's-eye-view (like exo-mek). When this is activated Koolasuchus can launch acid balls to a determined position, making tons of damage to metal structures and gear, this attack is also capable of damaging tek structures. To cancel mortar mode press space bar again. To not make mortar mode OP in offline raiding (credits to Mangost for the idea) I've thought of two ways to make Koolasuchus fair for everyone, the first way would be that in order to shoot acid balls Koolasuchus would need a new item called Koolasuchus acid, this item would be passively generated inside Koolasuchus inventory each 30 minutes or so, this item would be stackeable. The second way would be that for each acid ball that Koolasuchus shoots it would lower its food stat, something like daedon with healing allies. - Pressing C(Acid ball and acid pool): When pressing c, a bar will start to fill, when filled totally Koolasuchus will fire a short distance acid ball, that deals less damage than mortar mode. If this ability is cancelled while charging Koolasuchus will make an acid pool around him, preventing melee enemies or mounts to attack him. (Some Concept art of Koolasuchus) And thats my submission, ark needs more Amphibians go team Koola. Also, if you reached this part, let me be clear, i had a bunch of creatures prepared for the next vote, but i had a mayor flaw, all the creatures i designed are marine, so i just had to recycle the old Koolasuchus submission. I even had the full drawn digitally dossiers. Let's hope Koola wins this time, it would be such a shame not having Koolasuchus in the game. We have no giant prehistoric amphibians representation. Also, i could have posted Mastodonsaurus (old submission of mine), but Mastodonsaurus being a giant siege beast just like the titans would be kinda odd in a way, idk how to explain myself really. BYEEEE!!!!
  3. Common name: Habrosaurus Species: Habrosaurus dilatus Time: late Maastrichtian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive This is Habrosaurus, an amphibian mutated and changed by element and radiation into a monster lurking beneath the irradiated molten element of the red zone. Wild: It spends most of its time in the molten element lakes of the red zone Hunting prey near the shores of the lakes waiting for prey to ambush careful going near the shores of the molten element lakes It will try to hypnotize your tame with it’s glowing external gills in to going in to the Molten element. Domesticated: With this unusual body Mutated by the element It’s able to become fully semi aquatic not needing water or molten element to Survive. this creature is extremely Radioactive just being near the thing will give you a dose of rads. take extra precautions Dealing with this creature Because it’s able to shoot out a long distance stream of purple water that is extremely Radioactive. well it’s radiation may be extremely dangerous It can be helpful as well rumors going around saying its radiation is somehow helping with breeding. ???: this creature is in pain survivor. a cry for help disguised as a lure will you kindly put it out of its misery? Or utilize its hatred? General Behavior: Habrosaurus will be seen swimming in the element lakes when a tamed creature enters it’s line of sight it will flash it’s glowing external gills and hypnotize your tame for 7 Seconds after that your tame will snap out of it and Habrosaurus will turn aggressive. I was thinking it will lay beneath the molten element near shores and if your tame gets in its sight it will then hypnotize it After which it will turn aggressive. i like to think the behavior for this creature is very similar to the zombie sauropod in the show Primal. completely ravenous and will stop at nothing to get to you. (Abilities and Passive effects) Radioactive AOE: Just being around this creature will irradiate Wild creatures And enemy players and tames will not irradiate ally players and tames. Irradiate: nearby breeding pairs will have an increased chance for a mutation, a good percentage increase. Silica/black pearl Harvester: Using its unusual mouth it is able to scoop up clams such as silica and black pearls even giving black pearls a weight reduction. Radioactive healing: habro will heal in radioactive zones if there’s Radiation it will heal from it a 30% health regen. (not from it own radiation) Immunity to Cnidaria: cnidaria roam the molten element rivers of aberration it only makes sense to make it immune to them It also makes a good biotoxin harvester. Aestivate: It’s able to Curl up and form a skin and mucus cocoon Around itself This will slow down its hunger Allowing it to survive without food for a vary long time and be generally easy to keep around the base. Notable idea: I was wrestling with the idea that it will be able to climb up vertical walls/cliffs but it will use a lot of stamina. and not very good at it. It's unable to climb down or move Side to side on the wall/cliffs it can only go up. (This is to help with falling into crevices/pits or generally helping to travel). (Attacks) Radioactive Spray: a boiling continuous jet of radioactive purple water like substance that deals a decent Amount of damage itself. (scales with melee damage) and will Leave behind purple radioactive puddles. you can drench your enemies in The longer you spray them the more you Irradiate them Thus increasing in radiation damage over time accompanying with it a new fluid gauge when using your spray You use fluid If the fluid gauge runs out you can no longer spray The fluid gauge will recharge over time taking heavily from the hunger bar So keep it stocked with food cuz if the food bar runs out your fluid runs out. (Note the radiation from this attack is unique Where only this attack does the following) (Base damage 40) (Side note the radiation from this attack will not affect radiation immune creatures for Balance reasons It will still do damage but will not apply to radiation debuff that goes along with it). bite: As the name implies a simple bite. (Base damage 65) (used for harvesting black pearls and silica). 360 degree tail whip: With the other half of the creature’s body being essentially a long tail might as well use it. With knockback. Sirens lure: a simple cry/roar But for 7 seconds any wild or enemy creatures will be hypnotized and be lured in Will not cause wild creatures to aggro (Has a cooldown). Devour: it is able to swallow and eat whole small creatures such as for an example the dodo and lystrosaurus Doing so will restore 450 food and 50 HP the way this will work is by looking down over a small creature a crosshair will appear it will turn green if it able to eat it red if not. With this attack it is able to pick up players and attempt to swallow them use a plant species Z fruit and throw it down its throat for it to drop you. (With recoil animation) (Breeding) Mating will be relatively normal the eggs themselves are not. When the egg is laid it becomes sticky being able to toss it out and have it stick to any surface also its Radioactive you will need hazmat gear to get near it you can even stick it to your fellow tribe members. be careful hatching eggs in bulk the highest level will turn cannibalistic if not claimed. (Another idea I had is that you set the male onto mating. That will proceed to make a spermatophore in its inventory you then give the spermatophore to a female by putting it into her inventory and sitting her on to mate. The spermatophore will be used. an egg will shortly be made after that). (Taming) To begin taming first you are going to need a good amount of small creatures such as dodos you’re also going to need a good amount of mushroom stew for the taming process to begin you’re going to need to lure it out of the molten element lake then the fun begins you’re going to be poisoning it so feed all your small crittersThe mushroom stew every time it eats one it’s torpor will go up but this creature is extremely ravenous and won’t be an easy task once knocked out it’ll be a standard knockout tame from there (I should also point out I’m not very good at taming Ideas) (Details/about) As you may have already guessed this tame is radiation themed mutated by its environment it’s aggressive it will kill anything it can. I was thinking of a special saddle making it so you can go in the element river and not get hurt or irradiated. essentially a andrewsarchus saddle But without a gun obviously cockpit type saddle like the magmasaur. you will be immune to spores cannot be picked off or even hurt by small flying creatures. You can even go into the molten element. The saddle It will be Animated And when you get in it closes and And when you get out it opens. a good tame to travel the red zone with. Instead of coming up with something that will just overshadow another or make another thing obsolete, I decided to create a creature that will fit its own niche in its environment and be for both playstyles. It will be pretty fast on land But an even faster swimmer. the stat arrangement will be in between spino and megalosaurus. also unlike most creature submissions I have seen This creature is particularly useful on other maps too If not even more so. also as a small detail do not feed it mushroom stew! Feel free to share your ideas in the comments. Wildcard looks at them too. Sources: Habrosaurus - Wikipedia
  4. The prionosuchus was the biggest amphibian in our world and in the ark it wouldn't be different but we're back to the subject and we'll talk about its nature (Image by Thomas Sutton) Wild: The prionosuchus multum is an amphibian unlike any other with its size approaching the length of a megalodon this giant of the subterranean swamps of the aberration prefers to hunt like sarcosuchus but not to be confused they are not in the same family so unlike its reptilian counterpart it has energy for great runs and excellent attacks this great predator has a skull of almost 1.80 m and its attacks are voracious Taming method: Approach the prionosuchus feeding him fish to calm him down remember to always feed him every 15 seconds he will die a violent death with him holding you in his jaws and you hitting nearby rocks while calming him down climb on the back of this beast and ride it like a mechanical bull after a while the prionosuchus will get tired and respect you for having beaten him and now you will have a big predator by your side Tamed and Wild Skills Rotation: makes a spin similar to that of the sarcus Ravenous attack: when taking the target in the mouth, it starts to hit that target in a stone or nearby tree attack that that target dies Bleed: applies a bleed effect to large creatures Bioluminescence: This ability allows Prionosuchus to avoid creatures that dislike bright light Luminous Tail: This skill brings a tail attack that temporarily stuns and blinds the enemy Saddle Skills: Prionosuchus has two types of saddles, a normal one that also works as a mortar and pestle and a tek one that adds 2 new attacks Element Bite: Holding the right mouse button with the tek saddle equipped charges an attack that when fully charged does 200% more than normal damage Elemental Propulsion: This ability allows Prionosuchus to quickly dash forward on land vote for this wonderful temnospondyl
  5. Introducing, Stupendemys, the ancient snapping turtle that could shed its shell! Origins: Stupendemys was a giant 2 meter long snapping turtle that lived 13 million years ago in lakes rivers, and swamps. They had the strongest bite force of any turtle to ever exist, and had a soft shell, which is unusual. The reason for the soft shell is speculated to be because it sheds its shell every so often to keep it fresh, and supposedly lived like a hermitcrab when its new shell was hardening by inhabiting hollow rocks and waiting for prey. Its extremly flat and streamlined body made it an adept swimmer, and also would differentiate its design from the Carbonemys, which is already in the game. Here is Carlos for scale. Passive Abilities: Being amphibious, it only makes sense that the Stupendemys would be adept at swimming, and rather slow on land. We do not have many strong aquatic choice in aberration besides the sarco and spino, so this would be a welcome addition. Its body is very flat, so it would have a similar mechanic to the sarco where it can be stood on like a raft. A mechanic we do not have on Aberration yet is an immunity to jellyfish and, the Stupendemys would stand out as a top pick for water traversal and bitixon farming by being immune to electrical shocks, similar to the basilosaurus. This would give players a safer mount to enter the jelly and eel infested waters of the blue zone. Here's the big one, and the main mechanic of the creature: By using the radial wheel when dismouted, you would be able to prompt it to shed its shell, giving you shell fragments in return. Its shell will take 30 real life minutes to return, during that time it will take 30% incrased damage but also travel 50% faster in land and water. Shell restoration can be delayed indefinitely by inhabiting a rock, metal node, or crystal of your choice. By riding the Stupendemys and pressing 'X' You would be able to completely hollow out and inhabit your chosen rock, metal node or crystal and take it as your shell. Each of the 4 different shell types would give a unique passive effect that players will be able to utilize. Wild Stupendemys would be able to be randomly disguised as the other 3 shells, but will be most common in the base keratin shell. Keratin Shell - extra 25% damage reduction when retracted (see attacks section), and harvests increased hide and meat from corpses. Crystal - When in the radius of charge light, it refracts off of you in all directions, giving you a massive radius of charge around you. Also makes all charge volumes you are in, including the one generated, to become volatile and slowly damage nameless and reapers. Metal - Would give a passive 20% damage resistance, even when not retracted. also gives you a 50% weight reduction on metal, obsidian, crystal, all 3 gems, and stone. In turn, you can now take damage from jellyfish and eels. Rock - When sprinting, it ramps up in speed like a rhino or dire bear. Attacks: Attack 1 - (LMB) - A non-standard bite attack. The Stupendemys would extend its long neck and snap at prey, biting down and dealing damage. By holding LMB, its jaw would lock and hold itself and the target in place until LMB is released, or 30s passes, in which it would release its prey, dealing another point of damage. The Stupendemys could also release it instantly to do bonus damage. This would add an immobilizing jaw-locking concept that we do not yet have, and makes sense for a snapping turtle. It would be especially useful against dangerous creatures and could allow allies to escape while you hold the attackers at bay. It would also add a fun minigame by landing the bonus damage on perfectly releasing the prey. Attack 2 - (RMB) - Retract into your shell and take 50% reduced damage, also receiving different effects and abilities depending on the type of shell. Keratin - Become immune to fear roars and other similar debuffs such as mammoth roars, carcharo antiheal, etc. Crystal - Shining a charge lantern through a retracted Stupendemys with a crystal shell would refract it into a high-energy laser that can deal heavy damage over time to anything you aim it at, however, it would drain the charge battery heavily and slightly damage the Stupendemys over time. The laser would deal 3X damage to reapers and nameless. Metal - When retracted, all nearby creatures have 30% reduced weight on all items and harvest 50% more resources. Rock - Retract while moving or on a sloped surfaced to slide, moving extremely fast and also damaging and ricocheting off surfaces and creatures you hit. Speed is based on steepness of the slope.
  6. Dossier: Giant Olm (Genus: Megalotyphlus) Subject: Giant Olm (Megalotyphlus aberrans) Designation: Classified Attention, survivor! You are now reading a classified dossier on a remarkable creature known as the Giant Olm, native to the treacherous depths of the aberrant world. As an authorized explorer, you have the privilege of accessing this information. Please exercise caution and discretion while reviewing its contents. Description: The Giant Olm, a subspecies of the common Olm, is a colossal amphibian that roams the eerie subterranean caves of Aberration. This creature is an awe-inspiring sight, reaching tremendous sizes beyond anything witnessed before. It shares a similar appearance to its smaller counterpart, possessing a slender, elongated body with vestigial eyes and external gills. However, the Giant Olm is easily distinguishable by its exceptional size and the presence of sharp, jagged teeth. Adaptations: One of the most remarkable traits of the Giant Olm is its ability to produce a unique mucus that serves as a natural defense against the painful stings of the indigenous jellyfish. This mucus coats its entire body, providing a protective barrier. When slain, the creature will drop some of this mucus, which, when consumed, grants temporary immunity to jellyfish stings, a precious asset for any survivor traversing the perilous underwater environments of Aberration. Taming Method: Taming the Giant Olm requires great skill and strategic thinking. Survivors must venture deep into the cavernous realms, locating its lair within the murky depths. Once found, the process involves delicately luring the creature to the surface by using specialized bioluminescent bait, crafted from a combination of organic materials and rare resources. Only then can you initiate the taming process. Approach with extreme caution, as the Giant Olm is highly sensitive to disturbances and will defend itself ferociously. Utility: Once tamed, the Giant Olm becomes an invaluable asset to survivors exploring the hazardous underwater environments. With its colossal size and powerful jaws, it can effortlessly dispatch smaller aquatic threats, including dangerous predators like the Cnidaria. Additionally, survivors riding the Giant Olm can utilize its natural mucus to protect themselves from jellyfish stings, significantly reducing the risk of injury. This protective mucus, combined with its immense strength, make the Giant Olm an ideal companion for underwater expeditions and resource gathering. In the Wild: In its natural habitat, the Giant Olm is a solitary and elusive creature, rarely seen by surface-dwelling survivors. It prefers the murky depths of Aberration's subterranean cave systems, navigating the labyrinthine networks with uncanny grace. The Giant Olm preys on various subterranean creatures, feeding on smaller amphibians, fish, and invertebrates that venture near its domain. It is important to exercise extreme caution when approaching this creature, as it has developed acute senses and formidable defensive capabilities. Conclusion: The Giant Olm represents a fascinating addition to the aberrant ecosystem. Its massive size, ability to produce protective mucus, and proficiency in combat make it a highly sought-after companion for survivors venturing into Aberration's treacherous underworld. However, capturing and taming this awe-inspiring creature requires great skill, patience, and a keen understanding of its environment. Exercise caution, survivor, and may you forge a powerful bond with this colossal amphibian in your quest for survival. Taming Process: Taming the Giant Olm is a challenging endeavor that requires careful planning, resource gathering, and a steady hand. Follow the steps below to increase your chances of successfully taming this magnificent creature: Preparation: Before attempting to tame a Giant Olm, gather the necessary supplies. You will need: Bioluminescent Bait: Craft this special bait using a combination of organic materials such as fungal wood, aquatic mushrooms, and angler gel, along with rare resources found in the depths of Aberration. Scuba Gear: Equip yourself with reliable Scuba Gear to ensure extended underwater survival during the taming process. The underwater caves can be treacherous, and having the ability to breathe underwater will be invaluable. Locating the Giant Olm: Venture deep into the subterranean caves of Aberration, specifically targeting the areas known to be inhabited by the Giant Olm. These creatures typically dwell in the darkest and deepest sections of the cave systems. Be cautious of other dangerous inhabitants such as Nameless and Rock Drakes that may also populate these areas. Setting the Bait: Once you have located a suitable Giant Olm lair, set up a secure vantage point nearby. Carefully deploy the bioluminescent bait, making sure to position it where the creature can detect and be enticed by its luminescent glow. Remain patient and vigilant, as the taming process may take time. Initiating Taming: When the Giant Olm is drawn to the bait, it will cautiously approach the surface. It is crucial to remain calm and avoid any sudden movements that may startle or provoke the creature. Slowly approach the Giant Olm, offering it additional bait by hand, establishing trust and familiarity. Establishing Trust: Continue the process of feeding and bonding with the Giant Olm over an extended period. Show it patience, care, and respect, allowing the creature to become accustomed to your presence. This gradual trust-building process is crucial for a successful taming. Finalizing the Taming: Once a strong bond has been established, and the Giant Olm is comfortable with your presence, it is time to take the final step. Carefully mount the creature and secure your position, ready to embark on your underwater adventures together. Remember, the taming process can be dangerous, and any sudden movements or aggressive actions may result in the failure of taming or even a hostile response from the Giant Olm. Approach with caution, respect the creature's boundaries, and exercise patience and perseverance throughout the process. Good luck, survivor, in taming this remarkable giant of the depths. May you forge an unbreakable bond and unlock the incredible potential that the Giant Olm offers.
  7. The Olm The olm is a real world amohibian that has been around for thousands of years. This creature is also known as the cave salamander. They are blind and spend almost all their time in the water. They get around by sensing the electromagnetic frequencies around them they are a small amphibian only getting to around 8 inches long but they are certainly one of the most unique creatures in the world. How would they fit into Aberation? The olm in reality lives in caves and has developed its senses for this environment. It has no eyes and can sense even the slightest vibrations. There are several useful applications for this creature in the ARK. [ ] In a PVP setting, this amphibian could be able to locate and genorators and power them off from a distance. [ ] The Olm has a very fast regenerative ability that it can share with survivors and other tames. [ ] The Olm can locate creatures in a vicinity through walls and be able to locate them on your mini map, it can also give you the levels of dinos from a distance. [ ] The olm can also tell you if you have entered a dangerous area with large carnivores around [ ] This Amphibian would be scaled up so it could be rideable, when you ride this creature it could have the ability to spray a goo onto a target and slow them down or stick them in place depending on the size. [ ] The Olm is able to warn you before an earthquake happens (similarly to a jerboa). [ ] The Olm can use its slime coating to coat other survivors and allow them to breath underwater for a certain amount of time. Taming. Taming this amphibian would be a complicated endeavor. The olm is a passive tame that is reactive to your movements. Approaching the olm too quickly may scare this skittish creature off or cause it to fight back. If the olm chooses to run then do not chase it, you will cause it to attack. If the olm fights back then run away as fast as you can, if the olm sprays you with its goo, you will be stuck in place and be in danger of being eaten by another dino. Approaching any wild olms slowly is the best choice. The taming food of choice is chitin. Domestication. When these amphibians are domesticated you can ride them on land and in the water. In the water the Olm moves across the bottom of the water and can help you collect resources. On land the Olm is a slippery thing, it can move fast from place to place and can move by either slithering fast from place to place or by using its two front legs to drag its long slender body along. The Olm is breedable, though, it needs to be in the water in order to breed, if not provided with water it will not produce eggs. The eggs need water to hatch and incubate for a very short amount of time. They can produce eggs quickly and will somtimes lay more than one. Habitat. You can find this amphibian in bodies of water. They are often surrounded by large carnivores but remain unharmed. If any creature attempts to attack, the Olm will not hesitate to "goo" the predator. The Olm rarely ventures out of water. Finding the olm is not an easy thing to do. They don't show themselves as often as you would think. They prefer to stay hidden and traditionally can't be found around other Olms. Size. The Olm is larger than a titanaboa but smaller than a basilisk. They allow survivors to ride on their back with a special saddle. This saddle needs to be able to hold moisture to stop the olm from drying up. The saddle is infused with absorbent substrate. This substrate allows the olm to stay out of water indefinitely and survive. Attacks Whip- whip the target with its long body Spray- Spray a goo onto the target that sticks them in place Spin attack- only in water it can spin and knock enimies back Locate- allows them to locate enemies nearby. Suction- underwater it can suck in multiple small nuisance creatures and damage them without being damaged. Dossier- I'm not the best of artists and I don't have access to any digital drawing service so if somone would like to submit a dossier and some drawing that would help a ton and hopefully get this creature into the game (I will credit anyone who makes one that I use) The Olm is a creature I am not too familiar with. They weren't an aussie native but sure as hell could have been with their alien appearance! Back on earth they would be found in caves. They where never to big from what I remember, but it seems that somone modified them to grow to a bigger size! I had seen only a handful of these creature while on this ark and none of them seem to let me approach. So Coming face to face with the Olm for the first time was an exciting experience, it wouldn't let me approach without running off so I had no other choice but to wait. Scaring off this creature was not somthing I wanted to do seeing how rare it is, but after I approached it seemed to sense the chitin I had in my pocket and tried ro take it out! I ended up giving the Olm the chitin and it warmed up to me quickly, nothing seemed to want to mess with the Olm, even the Spinos! This is certainly one of the most unique creatures on this broken ark. Conclusion. I feel the Olm would be a great addition to ark seeing as we only have to amphibians so far! They are such unique creatures that I feel would fit the twisted world of Aberration. The Olm is an endangered species that I feel deserves more so this could really raise awareness for the species and possibly help this species do better. Please let me know if I should change/ add anything and please send me some artwork for this! Thank you! -Foulwhistle P.S.- there are alot of other great creature submission so please go support them too if I don't win that's not a big deal, but please make somone who worked hard on their creature get in! If I don't get in if you have any connections to mod makers please show them this idea, I feel it could be a good fit if done properly. Thank you!!!! Source https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olm
  8. My idea isn't so much an animal as a parasitic fungi. I belive it fits in perfectly with the mushroom riddled caves that are aberration. The creature is covered in mushrooms and has a mycelium pattern on its belly along with having stong damagy arms. Abilities: Infection. once tamed the creature would have the ability to infect eggs of other tames. this would cause the infected tames to have mushrooms growing out of there head but instead of killing them the fungi benifits them. they gain the imunitys of the mushroom creature as well as being buffed in other ways. Climb and Jump. The creature would have the ability to climb cliffs and walls and jump a significant distant much like the dinopithecus. Mycelium buff. Its a healing buff for any infected tames. trees use the mycelium network to comunacate and can even send nutruants to each other, I like the idea of tames being healed in a simaler way by the mycelium network they are connected to, hence the name. Spores. The creature would have an AOE spore attack simaler to the blue spores that kill you in aberration. Immunitys. The creature has immunitry to spores, blue spores, radiation, shock, poison. these immunitys are extended to infected tames and any player riding the creature except radiation for the player. RIdeable Taming. You can tame your own mushroom creature buy sacrificing one of your tames to a special mushroom. who then shortly die and a baby mushroom creature imerges that you have to raise. once tamed you can infect fertalised eggs those tames will grow mushrooms for there heads and have forementioned abilites. I wanted to make a creature that would rival reapers and rock drakes while being different and fitting into ab. Mushrooms came to mind and Cordyceps quickly after as most people know of it from the last of us blowing. I like the idea of the mushroom creature being amphibian or toad like, being somewhere between a gatcha and a rock elemental and having bulking stron forearms which is why I tried to draw it like that.
  9. Primitive tetrapod that lived in the Upper Devonian Carnivorous Length 8-9m | height 1.5m real animal design inspiration: fire salamander how it looks like in the game Presentation: this salamander has adapted to living in the bodies of water of Aberetion, learning to exploit all the toxins present in the waters, in the vegetation and in its prey, accumulating them in its body to be able to use them both as a weapon and as a defense. Acanthostega is immune to all poisons and narcotics indeed finds them very tasty. Survivors will be able to use this creature that uses chemistry as its weapon to overwhelm all their enemies. Wild: It is usually found in water spots of the bioluminescent biome, waiting near the banks for prey. It is aggressive and territorial towards creatures and survivors. One of its signature strikes is the "poison curtein" capable of easily stunning who breathe it, it is used both to surprise prey, but also to escape from stronger creatures. Domestication: To train this creature, the survivors must throw a poison grenade (or other poisonous gas such as the basilisk's breath) on the salamander to sweeten the character for a few minutes, so the survivor can offer bio-toxin or the venom of titanoboa ,megalania and nameless to train it. In fact, the salamander is immune to poisons and to all blows based on poison such as the basilisk breath and the poison wyvern Trained: Once trained, this large salamander proves to be a powerful biological weapon, capable of assisting its tribe in stunning creatures to be trained or the creatures or survivors of enemy tribes. Attacks: Simple Attack: Simple frontal bite (30 power) Tail Slap: A tail slap that slams targets behind the animal and knocks back creatures similar in size to or smaller than a raptor (30 power) Poison Curtain: Poisonous breath that covers a large area in front of the pet inflicting large amounts of torpor, the attack consumes a lot of stamina poison shoot: the animal splits a jet of venom at high pressure and range, inflicts torpor Abilities: Toxic defense: her body is covered in toxic mucus that poisons any creature that damages her with bites and the like inflicting torpor, the skill is only active when the salamander has more than 75% hunger. Toxic revenge: if the salamander is killed and its body devoured, the animal that ate it will be instantly narcotized. Venom Boost: gains 20-25% bonus stamina and health regeneration if hit by a poisonous attack or it eat poison item in its inventory (like poison vegetable, poison mushroom or venom of other animal), the normal bite become a poison bite Saddle: The saddle allows you to collect a part of the toxic mucus produced by the salamander's skin thus obtaining a poison that can be used to produce poisonous arrows (30 units per day), salamanders produce poison only if they have more than 75% hunger. In the salamander saddle crafting menu, it will be possible to produce a special poison (using 30 units of salamander poison or titanoboa, megalania and nameless poison) that is capable of completely filling the torpor of an already narcotized creature.
  10. Australian frog declared extinct in 1995 carnivorous Length 2.50m | height 2m THE REAL ANIMAL HOW LOOKS LIKE IN THE GAME Presentation: This frog survived thanks to the aberration ark, where it adapted to face the new challenges of this strange environment, increasing its mass, strength and defenses now it is able to face many of the creatures of the ark and protect his offspring. Once trained and equipped with the saddle, the survivors will be able to make the most of its attack and defense capabilities to make it a useful offensive and defensive creature. Wild: Normally it is found motionless in the marshes with its wide mouth open moving its tongue making it look like a small animal and waits for some prey to get close enough to eat it. The survivors will not be in danger as long as they do not get too close, even if they get too close it will be enough to move away to no longer be chased. Like its real-life counterpart it can keep its tadpoles or baby frogs safely in its stomach only to release them when grown enough, during these times the frog will keep its mouth shut and will try to avoid any confrontation with other creatures, becoming violent only if his life is in danger. Domestication: To train this creature the survivors will be able to implement 2 methods: 1) they have to look for an adult with its mouth open, then kill an animal and transport it up to the adult frog which with a flick of its tongue will snatch the killed prey from the survivor's hands, the heavier the prey it will be more efficient in taming, the frog after consuming the prey it will also try to attack the survivor who will have to move away. The process has to be repeated several times. 2) the survivors will be able to kill a pregnant female specimen and extract her cub from the frog's body which will be raised by the survivors. Trained: Despite its size it manages to move with agility and make small but rapid leaps, in water it is not the fastest but with excellent control of underwater movements The survivors will be able to exploit this animal to plunder the nests of wild creatures to get their eggs, the amphibian with a flick of the tongue will bring the eggs and the younger creatures into its mouth where it will keep them without damaging them, the frog will no longer be able to feed while puppies or eggs will be in his mouth. This frog can also collect and incubate the eggs of other amphibians The frog can grow a couple of puppies in their first stages of life in its stomach by feeding them with food from its inventory, however the frog in the meantime will not be able to feed itself, once the puppies have passed the first stages of life they will automatically come out of the mouth of the frog. Normal Attack: A simple bite (35 power) Jump attack: the frog will be able to leap forward by ramming the opponent with its body, knocking him back and if the target is lighter than the frog it will stun him for a few seconds Tongue Strike: The frog uses its tongue as a sticky whip with which it can catch and swallow objects held by survivors by disarming them or retrieve young animals and eggs Defensive stance: the frog will crush its body to the ground and sacrifice its agility and jumping ability to gain a defensive baff on all damage by 60/70% Saddle: The design of the saddle increases the defenses through metal plates (base armor approximately 40) also provides protection with metal bulkheads to the knight from damage, except those coming from above, after all the survivor will be able to use his firearms or throw grenades
  11. Hello, this is my idea for the ark ascended aberration creature vote; The atophaurus. The atophaurus is an amphibian like creature that has the size of a yutyranus and swims through the colorfull rivers of aberration (but only where there is radiation). I created this creature with the idea of making exploring and farming easier in aberration. It´s design is based on salamanders, the jurassic park dilophosaur and Zedus the main monster antagonist from Gamera the brave. Dossier : Common name : Atophaurus Species : Atophaurus nuclei Time : unknown Diet : carnivore Temperament : agressive Wild: The Atophaurus is a silent predator that lives in rivers in the dephts of aberration where it spends time absorbing radiation to attack it's prey. It's behavior is like the behavior of a komodo dragon, it spits a goo that is a mix of radiation and it's salliva, and then it waits untill the efects of the radiation kill the poor creature that after a few seconds falls in the ground. Another peculiar behavior of this creature is a type of ecolocation like the one bats do, walking by the swamp you can found the strange gooey things i mentioned early, but don't get too close because they are like radars and if you're close to the blob the Atophaurus can see you. Tamed: It might seem strange that a creature like this can be tamed, but with a radiation proof suit and a fast creature to dodge the atomic spits, you can make it unconscious and feed it meat (or any kind of gem for some reason if you want it to go faster). And now that you got your Atophaurus! It can do many intresting things, like locate items; just spit the atomic goo in the ground and then select on the Atophaurus inventory what item you want to locate and it will focus in the goo and see the soroundings, and if the item is near the goo it will be evidenced, this also work with creatures but you need to select a related item like a seddle or a costume or special item (attention, some creatures are atracted to the goo, like achatinas, bulbdogs and ravages). You can also make radioactive arrows, just harvest the Atophaurus goo to get liquid radiation and after that mix it with whatter in the pestle to make radioactive arrows. The Atophaurus can also protect you from radiation, when riding or near the atophaurus you are not afected by radiation. And last but not least the glow explosion, when you're Atophaurus has low health or when both of you are in danger the Atophaurus will make a brillant radioactive explosion to escape the situation. Details: The Atophaurus saddle is made on level 60, the goo detects things in a distance as large as diplodocus, you can only use 5 goo at time, and sorry about the drawings, i don't know how to draw in the computer.
  12. Common Name: Mastodonsaurus Species: Mastodonsaurus leviathanica Time: Middle Triassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Ambushing (This is my first ever digital dossier) Wild: Probably the biggest amphibian to have ever existed, Mastodonsaurus leviathanica can sport lengths of up to 32 meters. This gargantuan creature can be found on the pools of the crystalline swamps and luminous marshlands where it spends the entirety of its life. Mastodonsaurus doesn’t move much, mainly catching prey by ambush, or luring them with their set of biolumiscent spots alongside its body, this creature appears to be putting its prey in some sort of trance, and then mastodonsaurus burst out of its hiding location and swallows the victim whole, so be careful when travelling throug this locations as you and your mount can end up as a Mastodonsaurus meal. Mastodonsaurus seems to have adapted a very particular paladar, it mostly feeds of cnidaria and electrophorus which seem to have granted Mastodonsaurus some sort of stunning bite that can let its opponents paralyzed, making them an easy meal for this amphibian. Domesticated: When tamed, Mastodonsaurus becomes the greatest warmount in this cave system. Thank to his massive size you can even build a platform on the back of this amphibian! Mastodonsaurus is a very swift swimmer but in land it becomes a really sluggish creature, moving really slow and making it a easy target for enemy survivors and other creatures, but is here where Mastodonsaurus shines (literally…), this creature can flash its brilliant lights rapidly and in different colours, any enemy that directly looks at the creature while doing this light show can be subject to seizures. Also thanks to the two massive tusk in his lower jaw, Mastodonsaurus can impale his opponents and then shook them with his bioelectric capabilities. Now lets explain everything in detail: Taming: Mastodonsaurus leviathanica can be found in the pools of the crystalline swamps and luminous marshlands, where it will stay motionless in the deepest areas of these pools. First of all, Mastodonsaurus is a passive tame. To tame it you will need to swim to its gaping mouth and feed it its favourite food, Bio Toxin, but this is no easy task since Mastodonsaurus will be shining its bioluminiscent spots when wild (when looking at this lights the survivor will start to receive torpor overtime and will start to move iregullarly), and then you may ask how do i get close to it without looking at it?, thats where the red mushrooms (with red root and pointed cap) enter into play, if you get the effect “Dizzy Spore” (Obtained from entering a area where there are red shrooms spores) the Mastodonsaurus lightshow wont affect you. Meaning you can finally get close to its mounth and feed it. But this doesnt mean the threat is over, when feeded mastodonsaurus will start to move to repositionate in another area, during this it becomes territorial and if it senses something near it it will attack it, so you better start swimming away after you feed it. After sometime you will have a tamed Mastodonsaurus. Abilities and attacks: - Left Click: Stunning bite, just like cnidaria, Mastodonsaurus bites inducing torpor and dismounting survivors, this attack has some delay so cant spam it to stunlock a mount or survivor. - Right Click: Grab, Mastodonsaurus grabs a creature in front of it, impaling it with its two massive tusk, this bleeding causes the victim to lose 10% of its max hp over 5 seconds. If Mastodonsaurus has a grabbed enemy in his jaws it can still bite. It can grab creatures up to the size of a Spino. - Pressing X: Mastodonsaurus quickly turns back (like sarcosuchus) - Pressing c :Activates the bioluminiscent spots, when this spots are activated Mastodonsaurus will start to shine its bioluminiscent spots in a quick sucession and in different colours. To stop these lights just press C again. This “attack” drains stamina periodically (like daeodon). The effect of this lights varies depending on the victim: - Survivors: Survivors that directly look at Mastodonsaurus while the lights are active will get start to get dizzy, increasing their torpor as long as the are looking at Mastodonsaurus, they will also start to move irregullarly and will get limited vision. - Mounts: Mounts wont get any of the effects mentioned, instead if the stay close to Mastodonsaurus a bar will start to fill, when this bar is filled the mount will enter some sort of trance and wont obey any commands as long as Mastodonsaurus stays close. If you dont want your mount to enter this state, the only thing you need to is run away for a few seconds and let that bar drain, when is drained up, go back into action. Saddles: - Regular Saddle: Just a regular saddle for Mastodonsaurus - Platform Saddle: A saddle with a platform where you can build. - Platform Saddle with magnifying glass: A platform saddle with glasses that cover the bioluminiscent spots of Mastodonsaurus. This specialized saddle adds the effects of a flashbang after Mastodonsaurus activates its bioluminiscent spots, blinding opponents for a few seconds and also dropping whatever they were holding at the moment. And that my submission for Aberration, i think it feets really well with the aesthetic of aberration, also, Ark lacks amphibians. I think we need more amphibians in the game, right now we only have two amphibians in the game (diplocaulus and beelzebufo), and i think a giant powerful amphibian would be a neat addition to the game. I based his design and colors on deep sea fish. This is also a direct succesor to Koolasuchus caementus.
  13. *tumbles and crashes through the ceiling* Hello yet again ARK community, this time I have a frog. after a funny bit of zci shenanigans, i present Metoposaurus glomerofaucium, the spore shooting salamander! Dossier: Notes Metopo can be found having any of the 3 possible spore types, identified by what colour it glows. Metopo has a 1 person saddle which shields the rider from all spore effects Metopo has a turret mode in which it buries itself into the ground and periodically shoots out spores of the last type that it had Taming To tame a wild Metopo, it is recommended that you eat the mushroom type that negates whatever shroom type the wild one has. This is because to tame it you will have to walk up to it and feed it while it is charging up a spore shot, so that in case of a blunder you dont get hit with the full force of a spore cloud. Once you feed it enough, the metoposaurus will be tamed. Its preferred foods are, in order: Superior Kibble Raw Mutton Raw Prime Meat Raw Prime FIsh Meat Raw Meat Raw Fish Meat Abilities Land: Lclick: Standard bite Rclick: Aoe spore cloud R click Hold: Brings up crosshairs, targetted spore cannon. 5 second cooldown between shots. Spacebar: Bury/Stop burying. Ctrl: Toggle spore type Water Lclick: Standard bite Rclick: Tail slap X: Toggle swim/walk Ctrl: Toggle spore type Spore Types: Hallucinogenic: Wild: Drains oxygen and stamina, messes with vision Allied: Acts as short range cloak for duration of effect Freezing: Wild: Slows creatures, eventually freezes for 5 seconds/causes severe hypothermia in players Allied: Acts as a mini heal, boosts health regen for 15 seconds Radioactive: Wild: Afflicts non-rad immune creatures with severe radiation Allied: Acts as a short term mushroom brew that lasts for 30 seconds Other art: metopos are naturally lazy and will not go after anything unless they are attacked or touched dont be fooled by their normally carefree attitude though, an agitated metopo can and will do eveerything in its power to end you (also pro tip: the colours that flash on the back patterns of a metopo are a good indicator of what spore types they have charged up, so be prepared with mushrooms when approaching one) apparently rock drakes can get high too? Supplementary links: the real creature: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metoposaurus Aaaaand that's all folks! Good luck with the competition!
  14. Rãculionix or baurubatrachus-giant Catfish frog The Rãculionix would be an incredible addition to Aberration. If we consider a more logical approach, amphibians would have greater success in this map. The Rãculionix is the perfect example, being a giant amphibian adapted to leaping and surviving in this radioactive environment. It would be amazing for survivors, especially if this creature excels in farming, mobility, and combat. Could it potentially rival the Rock Drake? I'm not very good at drawing, but I found this design and wanted to use it as inspiration to create the abilities of the Rãculionix. I would like WD to make some changes to the design to make it more faithful to the Aberration map and the radioactive environment, but I must say that this design is amazing! Dossiês: Species: raculionix anura Time: Cretaceous Diet: carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: In the wild, the Rãculionix is never alone, always found in lakes or rivers with multiple individuals. When prey or a player approaches, their group communication activates, similar to the howls of wolves. Their grunts attract more members of the species, and they leap towards the prey, causing immense and corrosive damage. Additionally, the Rãculionix has a tail that emits an unbearable and hallucinogenic odor for other creatures, driving them away, much like the roar of the Yutiranus. Players are also not exempt from the effects of the Rãculionix's tail, and I have heard reports of tribes using the tail's effect to tame aggressive creatures, due to its ability to easily repel and immobilize them. But even in its wild form, I have witnessed the Rãculionix hunting large animals. Its bite is devastating, with its acidic, pink tongue corroding the prey's flesh, resembling a radiation whip. Its bite causes bleeding and deep radiation damage to the prey, making it a formidable hunter in the Aberration. Domestication: To tame the Rãculionix is a challenging task. Firstly, you must obtain fish gel from anglerfish and acquire a vial of the Rãculionix's tail scent. Mix them together at a chemistry bench to create a gel that tricks the Rãculionix into believing you are of the same species. Once you have prepared the gel, you need to locate a Rãculionix. Only the males can be tamed, as the females are much smaller and cannot be domesticated in this manner. Therefore, you must eliminate all the females before attempting a stealthy approach towards the male. After eliminating the females, approach the male Rãculionix while wearing camouflaged clothing. Then, apply the gel to your gloves and armor, ensuring that the gel's effect lasts for a certain amount of time. During this time, you will be able to mount the Rãculionix. By applying the gel and grasping onto the Rãculionix's antennae, it will feel a connection to you. From there, you must tame the creature by completing small missions that appear on the screen, such as performing a certain number of jumps, killing specific creatures in the area, or even swimming in the radioactive waters of the Aberration. However, a single application of the gel will not be enough, similar to the Carcharodontosaurus. The Rãculionix will attempt to dismount you as it can only be ridden with the gel's effect. Therefore, you must be prepared to run as it will try to kill you. Once it has calmed down, you must repeat the same process until the taming is complete. Domesticated: When tamed, the Rãculionix has numerous utilities, ranging from locomotion to resource gathering. In terms of resource gathering, it is a simple and highly efficient task for the Rãculionix, making it an excellent resource farmer in the game. The Rãculionix possesses a radioactive tongue with highly caustic chemical properties, perfect for cutting and breaking rocks in Aberration. With this ability, the Rãculionix can easily break down metals and gather resources, while also benefiting from a weight reduction, making it ideal for farming metal, stone, and thatch. Additionally, it has a similar function to the Magmasaur's ability to melt metal with its tongue. In terms of locomotion, it is quite evident that the Rãculionix excels in this aspect. With its large and muscular legs, it is perfectly suited for performing immense leaps in Aberration, as well as being able to swim in the radioactive waters of the map. Yes, players could also swim in these waters, as the Rãculionix absorbs the radiation from the water, protecting the player. Furthermore, it is immune to fall damage and can carry substantial amounts of resources. In terms of combat, the Rãculionix possesses impressive abilities. Its tail emits a noxious odor that repels creatures, making it perfect for taming and venturing safely. It also has a tail attack that delivers a radioactive shock to its target. While the Rãculionix's bite may not be exceptionally powerful, it is still helpful, causing bleeding and a radiation effect on the target, even affecting aberrant creatures. Its tongue attack inflicts electric, hot, and corrosive damage, making it perfect for breaking structures and gathering resources, as mentioned earlier. Additionally, the Rãculionix has sensory antennae that grant the player a motion-detection vision, allowing them to detect all creatures in the vicinity and emit a signal when encountering a maximum-level creature, similar to the Bulldog. These are some ideas, and if anyone has more ideas for abilities, please share them below. Procreation: To breed and obtain a Ranculionix egg, you must first find a wild female. After that, you need to have gas balls in the inventory of the male, which serve as food during mating. Then, you must trap the female and position the male next to her, activating the mating process. During mating, the male will consume the gas ball, staying nourished while both Ranculionix remain "attached" for about 30 minutes. During this period, the Ranculionix is vulnerable, so it's important to be vigilant of other creatures nearby. The female Ranculionix must not take damage and should stay close to water. After mating concludes, she will lay the egg in the nearest water source, and you must collect it and incubate it in any water. It's worth noting that the heat generated by the Diplocaulus is necessary to incubate the Ranculionix egg, as technology is not capable of performing this task for such a radioactive animal. As the offspring grows, it will no longer require the gel on the gloves, as it will be trained with its natural scent. However, the wild father still requires the use of gel to be ridden. Repellent: In addition to the mentioned abilities of the Rãculionix, as mentioned, it produces a toxin in its tail that repels creatures in the vicinity. To obtain it, you can either kill Rãculionix to acquire it or collect it in a vial using a male Rãculionix. This toxin can be used to spray on creatures or apply to yourself, serving as a quick repellent to scare away small and medium-sized creatures, making it perfect for venturing in Aberration. It also serves in PvP as a means to intimidate enemy creatures when thrown on the ground. End The Rãculionix could be associated with the Baurubatrachus, creating a more authentic and realistic version of an evolved frog from Aberration. The Baurubatrachus underwent transformations that made it convergent with electric fish and current catfish. I hope this creature is chosen for the game, as it would bring a unique and exciting addition to the world of Ark: Survival Evolved.
  15. Metalurax-aberrant salamander The Metalurax would be an incredible addition to the Aberration map, a new and unique amphibian for this amazing setting. Amphibians are scarce in the Ark game, so it would be a perfect addition to this category. With its unique and magnificent characteristics, the Metalurax can be both a shoulder pet and a formidable carnivore, depending on your choice. A creature with such design in the Ark Ascended game would be incredible. Just imagine the level of radioactive glow and the radiant details that this creature would have in Engine 5, it would be truly magnificent. So, that's my cue, and now let's dive into the world of the Metalurax. The Metalurax is a magnificent amphibian that emits an intense glow. It possesses incredibly strong claws, allowing it to climb reasonably well, thanks to its slimy and adhesive substance, rivaling the impressive Rock Drake. The Metalurax has antennas similar to those of the Axolotl, capable of detecting movements, much like the Snow Owl does with its heat vision. Its jaw, during the metamorphosis phase, is incredibly powerful and can also release a radioactive substance, similar to how the Dilophosaur releases its slime. The membranes around the Metalurax's body provide it with highly effective swimming abilities. Although it cannot fly or plant, its climbing ability combined with its ability to cushion falls can be used for locomotion. Dossier: Common Name: Metalurax Species: Ambystoma aberrans Time: unknown Diet: carnivore Temperament: agressive Wild: in the wild, the Metalurax can also pose a significant challenge. Its agility in the water is impressive, allowing it to move with dexterity and speed through the radioactive waters. Now, imagine such a fast creature combined with its radioactive bite ability. It would be a true terror for survivors venturing into the radioactive areas. Killing this wild animal for meat is not a good option, as its body is highly radioactive. Domestication: The process of domesticating the Metalurax in its larval form involves the use of toxins, such as those from Titanoboa or Nameless. However, for a more effective and expedient domestication, it is recommended to create a toxin at the chemistry bench using specific ingredients, including the venom of Nameless and Titanoboa, hallucinogenic mushrooms, a significant amount of narcotics, and a new substance acquired from the Alpha Basilisk—its venom, which can be obtained by killing it. Once you have obtained this substance or the venoms from Titanoboa or Nameless, you must venture into the hostile and radioactive areas where the Metalurax is found. These creatures are rare, usually spawning only one or two at a time. When you encounter them, you must use Reaper pheromones to scare them, as they will attack you relentlessly if you don't. Having used the pheromones, you must chase after them since they will attempt to flee. The most effective way to stop them is by using bolas. After successfully immobilizing the Metalurax, it is crucial to stay close to it to familiarize it with your scent and allow you to approach. At this point, you can feed it the prepared toxins. Once the Metalurax consumes the toxins, the domestication process is complete, and you will have a strong and loyal creature by your side. Domesticated: Once domesticated, you will have an incredible creature. In its larval form, its abilities include: -It can be carried on your back, absorbing and converting the radiation in its surroundings into an intense light that scares nearby animals.- The Metalurax only produces a radioactive sticky substance that can be extracted in its larval form. During the metamorphosis phase, it will not produce a sufficient amount of this substance. Metamorphosis: To undergo metamorphosis, the Metalurax requires the creation of another substance in the chemical bench, using honey, mushrooms, toxins, pheromones from both female and male Metalurax, as well as an element, either in powder or fragment form. Giant Salamander Stage: After injecting the substance into the Metalurax, its transformation process will begin, and it will enter a cocoon stage, evolving into the salamander phase, similar to the growth of a hatchling. Once this transformation is complete, you will have a powerful creature by your side, a true large carnivore, if we can call it that. The abilities of the Metalurax in its adult phase are: With its strong claws and sticky slime, it can climb walls and cushion falls, emerging unscathed from its explorations. Another ability of the Metalurax is the conversion of a small amount of radiation around it into a radioactive slime, similar to the Dilophosaur. When it shoots this slime, it blinds all enemies and inflicts corrosive damage that destroys armor and irradiates its targets. Furthermore, thanks to its radiation absorption, the Metalurax has the ability to camouflage itself, like the Rock Drake and the Shadowmane. However, this ability consumes a lot of energy and is rarely used in combat. The Metalurax's bite is also corrosive, capable of breaking metal structures and causing significant damage to creatures due to the injected radiation. The Metalurax also has antennas that detect movements of nearby creatures. Additionally, the Metalurax can be used for gathering activities as its corrosive slime can break down all metals and rocks in the game. Although the Metalurax in its metamorphosis stage does not emit a light that scares animals around it, its antennas produce a blue light that helps the player see in dark nights in the Aberration. A tail strike can also be added, a powerful move where its radioactive membranes carry a radioactive energy that paralyzes the target, similar to cnidarians. Some additional ideas for the Metalurax: Perhaps a Tek saddle that allows the animal to perform high jumps or glide like the Rock Drake, or that allows it to remain in camouflage for longer periods. Additionally, this saddle could provide a protective shield for the animal. Also, it would be possible to have a wrist-mounted weapon that can be equipped by humans, a weapon capable of releasing the slime produced by the Metalurax in its larval phase. This weapon would shoot slime projectiles forward, corroding everything in the area it hits, making it perfect for targeting animals and corroding them from the inside, easily killing them. The radiation emitted by this slime can also aid in creature taming, as small doses before taming can reduce hunger. However, as useful as it may be, the weapon has its limitations. Due to its high radioactivity, it corrodes the entire weapon and breaks the device. There would be a limit of 10 slime shots per weapon before the weapon is completely corroded and the device breaks. Procreation: For breeding Metalurax, you must have a couple in the metamorphosis phase and take them to the radioactive lake to initiate mating. The female will lay the egg in the water, and you must collect it and take it to a chemical workstation. Adding an element to the egg will ensure that the animal is born in the metamorphosis phase, as without it, the newborn animal will always remain in the larval phase. To hatch the Metalurax egg, you must once again take it to the radioactive water and use some Diplocaulus to incubate it, as air conditioners and incubators seem to malfunction or have no effect on this creature. Size: --------------------------- Credits to Gisselda santos I hope that Wildcard adds this creature or creates one similar to it, that would be incredible. Who wouldn't want a beautiful and cute shining Axolotl in their base? Especially if it's useful? Everyone! So, vote for this creature for the next Ark Ascended creature. If anyone has ideas, I will definitely check them out and add them.
  16. The Giant cave siren take inspiration from Siren Miotexana, Greater Siren, and Olm Tamable, Breedable, rideable and temperament is neutral Wild: Found in the waters of the fertile and bio-luminescent areas either swimming, singing or attacking its favorite prey the Karkinos Taming: idea 1: new item like Karkinos Claws or Legs as the taming food. idea 2: chitin or polymer as taming food 3. let it kill tamed karkinos' Abilities: Fast Regen: like most paedomorphic salamanders it has incredible regeneration capabilities Siren Song: able to produce an alluring song that makes creature and people approach it while singing Sound Boom: a loud clicking noise that that damages those near by (AOE and short range attack) Sirens Wail: a wailling sound that damages those it targets (Long range cone shape like wyvern breath) Echolocation: due to being eyeless the siren gets around using echolocation Description: a long serpentine body, its head is similar to the olm and equally eyeless, two gill branches on either side of the head, it has long front limbs and it hind limbs only have a webbed foot, the tail has a thin fin along the top and bottom, its back and sides are a mottled brown and the underbelly a blueish green, it has bioluminescent strips along it back and sides the stripes start at the shoulders to the end of the tail i would post pictures but i am unable because the file size is to big any suggestion and questions are welcome
  17. This dossier was made in google drawings because i don’t know how to use photoshop or gimp. What the dossier says if you can’t read it Wild metoposaurus is an opportunistic piscivore that spends most of its day hunting in lakes and river ways. But there's something off about this metoposauridae it has the colors of a fire salamander and the external gills of an axolotl as well as having the bubbled feet of a red eyed tree frog and on top of all that its 3 times larger! Then it should be . This species that I have dubbed metoposaurus ultimis has been seen hunting nameless and seekers , killing them viciously. It was like watching a dog play with a squeaker toy! Tamed This animal is tamed by waiting for it to sit down by a water source and feeding it nameless venom or dead fish dragged. to its giant jaws. Some of the tek tribes members have also seen this species digging into the mud and sand when sitting by the water ways of this cave and it occasionally digs up resources and I have even seen one dig up an old abandoned pickaxe that a tribe member lost! So me and some of the tek tribe helped train this animal to dig and store items in a saddle bag on its bottom jaw. And it worked. This species can be trained to dig up resources and store them in saddle bags. And also because of the added tree frog DNA metoposaurus ultimis can climb walls and with its longer arms and bubbled feet and the sliminess of this animal it can climb even the most vertical walls and its dominance over nameless and seekers makes this animal essential for traversing the blue and red zones of this cave. Taming methods 1. Passively feed the metoposaurus dead fish, nameless, seekers or nameless venom to tame only well sitting (like a shadowmane) 2. The aggressive method this way of taming you need to hit the metoposaurus of choice and get it down to 20% health and then tranq it (the tranqs will do less damage well in this state)Then feed it : nameless venom, prime fish meat, fish meat to tame (will not work with males because of rage buff) Abilities LMB does the bite attack LMB (hold and release) does the mega bite Rmb, , does the Radioactive gas release Rmb, , (hold and release) shoots the Radioactive gas as a projectile C, , does a roar that scares fish, small dinos, nameless, bugs Space, , makes metoposaurus toggle climbing mode Rage: Male have a rage when down to 20% hp which Give them a huge damage reduction and damage increase buff Exhaustion (after rage) : after the rage buff is gone the after rage appears and it makes male metopo damage decrease by 25% and damage intake increase to 125% and makes males infertile for 2 mins so in other words this is a debuff radioactive gas: which has a visible radius that will inflict radiation damage in its radius Moisturized buff : will give the metoposaurus the ability to climb and not get picked up Dig : use the sit down on the scroll wheel to dig up resources , broken equipment. Only well by water sources Father’s will : metoposaurus like the fenrir gives a buff to the lesser amphibious animals or the Beelzebufo (frog) and Diplocaulus (Boomerang head guy) Giving them glowing eyes, damage increase, speed increase, weight reduction, and health recovery increase. Utility The metoposaurus Will be good at swimming because it is an amphibian as well as it will be able to climb walls which will make it better for transportation especially in the map it spawns on which is aberration and more specifically the blue Zone as well as it'll be good for getting rid of nameless as I've mentioned . Behavior : The metoposaurus Will be rather interesting in terms of his behavior like it will attack nameless and fish instead of anything else including the player but the males of the species once they get down to 20% hp will become extremely aggressive to any creature and the player putting them in sort of a rage state Appearance : I hope this creature has some features from most amphibious species but more specifically the Axolotl and salamander and some tree frog elements because that's what I have envisioned for this animal to be kind of like the ultimate amphibious creature which we haven’t had new amphibians since 2016. Thank you for reading. I hope you have a good day , night , afternoon.
  18. D. Angelensis: the quick swimming resource hunter IMPORTANT NOTE D. Angelensis is a subspecies of dimetrodon. In game that means that this creature could be implemented as its own creature, a TLC for dimetrodon or just some variant of dimetrodon (like aberrant variant). Behavior D. Angelensis is an aggressive ambush predator that leaps from the water to attack any unsuspecting prey that it can sink its teeth into. when D. Angelensis isn't hunting they prefer to stay underwater and they like to swim as deep as they can go. On this note, D. Angelensis spawns in deep water such as in the Crystalline Swamps, Luminous Marshlands, Hidden Grotto cave or The Fallen Nexus. Taming it may not look it, but D. Angelensis is a rather smart predator. A survivor will need to earn its trust to tame it. First step, a survivor needs to drop any raw meat infront of D. Angelensis, starting from a long distance but slowly building D. Angelensis' trust until enough trust has been built to hand feed D. Angelensis Second step (optional), once trust has been built up, a survivor must now feed D. Angelensis various materials to build up the taming effectiveness with stone being the worst food for this and red gems being the best food. Third step, D. Angelensis is now in the standard passive tame phase, if the second step is done then the effectiveness from that phase does not drop no matter what happens to D. Angelensis. D. Angelensis is tamed with meats Utility Radiation Survivor D. Angelensis is able to survive the radioactive zones of aberration Mobility D. Angelensis is a rather fast swimmer and while not the fastest on the land, it has enough stamina to get you anywhere in one go. Harvesting D. Angelensis has an ability to change the color that its sail glows, each color has a different effect on how it harvests rescources from a kill Red the sail's color changes to a red color and is better at harvesting meat (if tamed at 100% effectiveness then you will get raw prime meat from every corpse thats harvested) Yellow the sail's color changes to a yellow color and is better at harvesting hide Blue the sail's color changes to a blue color and is good at gathering Chitin/Keratin (if tamed at 100% taming effectiveness then can harvest cementing paste from all chitinous or keratinous creatures) Green the sail's color changes to a green color and is very good at harvesting other resources dropped by creatures such as oil, scrap metal and polymer Disabled the sail is disabled and you can see its natural colors glow, not special harvesting effect is applied Fighting you need a good fighter if you want an effective harvester, D. Angelensis is a good fighter, not a boss killer but if it fights a karkinos its a rather even match Bite simple run-of-the-mill bite Tail swipe a simple move that is good at shiking an enemy off D. Angelensis' back, this attack can also be used to make a karkinos drop it Why? Dimetrodon marks an interesting point in both the evolution of land predators and the evolution of mammals, this is an increadibly cool and important creature and wildcard did it pretty dirty Note: im having troubles with the formatting, also images are pending June 28, 2023
  19. NAME: NEOBATRACHIA SPECIES: NEOBATRACHIA AJAJU TIME: UNKNOWN DIET: CARNIVORE TEMPERAMENT: AGGRESSIVE WILD THE NEOBATRACHIA IS A TERROR OF THE JUNGLE IN ABERRATION, A MASSIVE SIZED TREE FROG DESCENDANT THAT STALKS THE CANOPIES AND CLIFFS BY LEAPING AND CLIMBING TO PURSUE ITS PREY. GIVEN IT’S SCIENTIFIC NAME AFTER A MYTHICAL BLOOD DRINKER THIS FROG USES A SERRATED TONGUE TO GRASP ITS VICTIMS AND AS THEY STRUGGLE BLEED THEM OUT. EVEN WORSE DUE TO THEIR LOVE OF HALLUCINOGENIC MUSHROOMS IF YOU ATTACK THEM TO MUCH WITH MELEE AT CLOSE RANGE YOU WILL GO FOR A LITTLE TRIP. THIS BEAST IS A THREAT ON LAND, WATER, AND EVEN SKY AS IT CAN USE ITS GIANT WEBBED FEET TO SLOW ITS FALLS AND GLIDE FOR A SIGNIFICANT DISTANCE TO CHASE GLIDING SURVIVORS. IN THE WATER THEY ARE SLOW AND EASY TO EVADE AT LEAST, BUT NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN IF YOU THINK ANY ARE NEAR, THERE’S NOTHING LIKE HAVING A NICE SWIM ONLY TO HAVE A GIANT FROG SLAM INTO YOU AT HIGH VELOCITY FROM SOMEWHERE HIGH IN THE CANOPY. THEY DO HAVE A SPECTACULARLY BEAUTIFUL SONG WHEN COMMUNICATING THROUGH, FOR A CARNO SIZED AMPHIBIAN THAT WANTS TO EAT EVERYTHING. DOMESTICATED TAMING A NEOBATRACHIA IS THE CLASSIC, BOLA IT AND THEN BONK IT UNCONSCIOUS TO GIVE IT FOOD, WELL BLOOD, THEY LIKE BLOOD MIXED WITH HALLUCINOGENIC MUSHROOMS. ONCE TAMED YOU HAVE A BEAST THAT CAN CLIMB WALLS AND TREES, GLIDE ACROSS THE CANOPY, AND SWIM THE WATERS OF YOUR CAVERNOUS HOME! THEY LIKE RAVAGERS CAN CLIMB VINES AND ZIPLINES, BUT ONLY IN ONE DIRECTION. WITH A FLICK OF ITS TONGUE YOU CAN BLEED OUT MOST CREATURES YOU FACE, OR SEND OTHER SURVIVORS INTO A HALLUCINOGENIC STATE, AND FOR ANYTHING SMALLER THAN A REAPER YOU CAN POUNCE UPON IT TO PIN IT DOWN. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THEY BREED SLOWLY AND KEEPING THE TADPOLES ALIVE IS A CHORE, BUT IF YOU MANAGE THEN YOU WILL HAVE A POWERFUL ALLY IN YOUR MISSION TO SURVIVE THE ARK. ANOTHER REASON SURVIVORS TAME THEM IS TO HARVEST THEIR MUCUS WHICH CAN BE USED TO RESIST RADIATION OR TURNED USED AS A NARCOTIC SUBSTITUTE. THEY MAKE EXCELLENT MOUNTS FOR AMBUSHING SURVIVORS ATTEMPTING TO GO FOR A GLIDE, EITHER BY PINNING THEM OUT OF MIDAIR TO THE UNFORGIVING GROUND OR A MUSHROOM TRUNK, OR DOING A TONGUE FLICK TO DISABLE THEIR GLIDER AND SEND THEM PLUMMETING TO THEIR DEATH. THESE FROGS TAKE NO FALL DAMAGE FROM GREAT HEIGHTS SO FEEL FREE TO GO WILD IN EXPLORING EVERY POSSIBLE HEIGHT OR DEPTH YOU CAN. UTILITY WAR MOUNT, NOT SUPER HEAVY ON HEALTH/DEFENSE BUT MORE THEN MAKES UP FOR THESE DRAWBACKS BY HAVING TWO STATUS EFFECT INFLICTIONS AND HIGH MOBILITY ALL TERRAIN MOVEMENT. NO FALL DAMAGE SO YOU CAN LITERALLY JUST LAUNCH YOURSELF INTO A MASSIVE FALL AND JUST DROP OR GLIDE AWAY. GLIDING IS MORE EFFICIENT THAN THE GLIDER ITEM AND OTHER GLIDING MOUNTS IN DISTANCE AND STAMINA, AND IT CAN LAND ON VERTICAL SURFACES LIKE A TAPEJARA. THE PIN CAN BE DONE ON GROUND OR WALL AND YOU CAN SNATCH SOMEONE FROM THE AIR, WORKS JUST LIKE A RAPTOR PIN.

On occasion they go out of water more or so at night time they're up and moving about but during the day they spend most of their time on the benthic part of lakes snagging the abundant amount of aquatic fauna Lampreys and Menonomenos have a special symbiosis in which lampreys get food and comfort inside of Meno's Jaws and the Menonomenos gets a certain chemical as a waste product of them granting it an easier time digesting food. ***TAMING METHOD:*** A female Meno lays eggs hidden on aquatic plants and rocks, the eggs being sensitive to touch; you'll have to gain the respect of the mother to acquire one. Transport the Meno to a safer location via whistle within a given timeframe, Small predators will try to take the egg away from the mother Don't worry about larger predators when near a mother meno you'll go undetected as Meno eggs are off the menu for most large predators. ***DOMESTICATION*** Menonomenos make for fantastic support mounts to allies being able to swiftly maneuver around the battlefield and assist those in need Menonos have a "Soak meter" they need a good supply of water to function 80% or more soaked will give Meno a hydrated boost increasing speed and causing them and the rider to be more slippery to catch ( Karkinos, Desmodus,PTs and Griffins have a harder chance grabbing your char) ***CONTROLS*** ***(Space bar)***-Mucus secretion/belly slide, pressing space bar once will have Menonomenos secrete a sticky liquid like mucus around itself ***(Holding Spacebar)*** your Meno can belly slide using it's own mucus to slide about at fair speed *(Left click)*-Bite which is fairly weak ***(Right click+hold)***Lamprey projectiles: Meno can aim lampreys and spit them out using it's elastic jaws Lampreys will stay on a target for 40s after which they'll drop off and conceal into small balls which can be picked up again ***(C)***-Spit mode switch Spit modes include: Attack- Lampreys will slowly drain the health of a target Healing- Lampreys will heal a target (could be additionally good for taming if you went a little overboard on damage and made a close to knocked out tame bloody) Paralysis- Lampreys will inject a shocking secretion if applied enough will paralyze a target for a 20s (Additonaly these "modes" can be turned into consumables as well, Healing elixirs, tranquilizers and more) ***SADDLE:*** Meno's can be ridden without saddles but they do have a saddle that adds to the overall quality of it as a mount, it allows them to keep soaked for longer while giving them a little more protection ***EXTRA NOTES:*** Extremely good in water being able to move in almost all directions (Sideways,Back,Front, Up and Down) at a fast pace Lampreys will become docile and attract to your mount automatically in which they can be collected via Menos option wheel. If you check it's inventory, said lampreys will be stored as icons similarly to the fish basket system, except they won't be counted as creatures sort of like an accessory. Gross but using Meno's option wheel you can breed the Lampreys inside of it's mouth
  21. Design/location: Archegosaurus also known by it's lesser known synonymous term Menonomenos is a relatively large temnospondyl that makes its home in the Jungles lakes and swamps of Ragnarok There is an extremely rare cave variant that sports a more luminous muted alpine newt inspired pattern Normal Variant sports a smooth newt inspired palette -Sexual dimorphism I may include, females will generally have smaller tassels and will be of darker hue than males -13 meters in length a few meters less than ark's ingame sarcosuchus ECOLOGY/BEHAVIOR -Passive Menonomenos will spawn solitary but you might see the occasional pairs of two. On occasion they go out of water more or so at night time they're up and moving about but during the day they spend most of their time on the benthic part of lakes snagging the abundant amount of aquatic fauna Leech and Menonomenos have a special symbiosis in which leech get food and comfort inside of Meno's Jaws and the Menonomenos gets a certain chemical as a waste product of them granting it an easier time digesting food. TAMING METHOD: A female Meno lays eggs hidden on aquatic plants and rocks, the eggs being sensitive to touch; you'll have to gain the respect of the mother to acquire one. Transport the Meno to a safer location via whistle within a given timeframe Don't worry about larger predators when near a mother meno you'll go undetected as Meno eggs are off the menu for most large predators. Smaller more determined predators will be attracted to the sight of eggs however (Kapros and below) DOMESTICATION: Menonomenos make for a fantastic support mount to allies being able to swiftly maneuver around the battlefield and assist those in need (As a pvp player specifically I think it would be refreshing to take a break from the countless amounts of dps tames and soakers and make a mount that can support, it can get pretty stressful at times) Menonos have a "Soak meter" they need a good supply of water to function 80% or more soaked will give Meno a hydrated boost increasing speed and causing them to be a Lil more slippery to catch Maneuverability: *(Space bar)*-Mucus secretion/belly slide, pressing space bar once will have Menonomenos secrete a sticky liquid like mucus around it *(Holding Spacebar)* your Meno can go into a belly slide using it's own mucus to slide about at fair speed Attacks: *(Left click)*-Bite which is fairly weak *(Right click+hold)*Leech projectiles: Meno can aim leeches and spit them out using it's elastic jaws Leeches will stay on a target for 40s after which they'll drop off and conceal into lamprey balls which can be picked up by meno and used again as ammo •(C)•-Spit mode switch (I was originally going to have these relate to shrooms but I think this submission is already filled to the brim with things I'd just be pushing it over the edge) Spit modes include: Attack- Leeches will slowly drain the health of a target Healing- Leeches will heal a target (could be additionally good for taming if you went a little overboard on damage and made a close to knocked out tame bloody) Tranquilizing- Leeches will apply narcotic effects to the target You can stack up to 15 leeches on 1 target SADDLE: Meno's can be ridden without saddles but they do have a saddle that adds to the overall quality of it as a mount, it allows them to keep soaked for longer while giving them a little more protection Sidenotes: Extremely good in water being able to move in almost all directions at a fast pace Leeches will become docile and attract to your mount automatically in which they can be collected via Menos option wheel. If you check it's inventory, said leeches will be stored as icons similarly to the fish basket system, except they won't be counted as creatures sort of like an accessory. Gross but using Meno's option wheel you can breed the Leeches inside of it's mouth (Black and white as of current I originally planned this for abberation but now it seems like I need to make some changes in order to fit this map, New art will be coming soon)
  22. In case the frozen pools of Ragnarok didn’t already have enough reasons to be avoided as is, these strange Antarctic amphibians can now be encountered lurking below the surface. Dangerous ambush predators, Koolasuchus hunts by squirting streams of freezing water at their targets, slowing them, and inflicting hypothermia in survivors before retreating to their icy dens, content to wait until their prey succumbs to the environment. When tamed these large amphibians can be harnessed to cool their rider, protecting them from high temperatures while chilling enemies to the bone.
  23. Ark desperately needs more amphibians, and what better than one of the biggest, if not the biggest amphibian of all time, Prionosuchus! ============================================== Abilities: It's main attack and ability is it can store and shoot water at incredibly long ranges, much like a sniper rifle made out of pressurized water within the Prionosuchus. Whenever its in water, it is able to store water by holding CTRL (or its console equivalent) and then prop itself above the surface to shoot it's stored water at foes using RMB. Whenever it hits a target, the target will become stunned and dismount the player, this becomes dangerous for players using a flyer above the water. This also deals high damage when fully charged, having a max of 120 damage dealt, this may also hit a player and not the creature itself. Additionally it shreds through armor like nothing. If it is pointed directly above water, it can fling itself out of the water, while its in the air you are able to do barrel rolls to boost your speed, but you have to fling yourself multiple times to get more barrel rolls for speed, the fastest it can become is 3x its normal swim speed. If it hits an enemy while doing a barrel roll, it can do damage to them, and the damage depends on how fast you are moving/the amount of barrel rolls. Barrel rolls are activated by pressing C (Or console equivalent) while flung. Pearl sniffing is one of its other abilities, when it is in the water you can press X (or the console equivalent) to sniff out silica and black pearls, if it has found either pearl, it will mark them with a green outline if its silica and a blue outline for black pearls, if you dismount this outline will stay for 10 seconds. Can passively detect danger nearby, almost like a glowpet. Full omnidirectional turning (like a Rhynio) when in water. Immunity to eel and jellyfish stings. (This art is done by ZCI5250) =============================================== Taming method: To tame a Prionosuchus you must have either Silica pearls or black pearls in your last inventory slot, this will make Prionosuchus approach you, when it has approached you, you can give it the silica/black pearl which boost its taming, however it will quickly dart away to the nearest body of water for 10 seconds. After it has finished darting away, it will approach you again. Repeat this process and you will have a Prionosuchus. =============================================== Extra information: Prionosuchus can be found in oceans, swamps, rivers, and caves with water. Saddle is unlocked at level 60 It's stats are similar to that of a Spino. ================================================ And thats all! Thank you for reading this and I hope you enjoy this submission.
  24. My idea for a new creature submission is the Olm i know we have diplocaulus and adding something that kinda looks like a mix of that and eels would be strange, but ark being ark this creature would be a litlle different from the real life counter part being more akin to the the creature from arcane, having a good all-terrain creature but faring better in deep sea enviroment So this animal known as olm is relatively similar to an axolots, this cave salamander is most notable for its adaptations to a life of complete darkness in its underground habitat. The olm's eyes are undeveloped, leaving it blind, while its other senses, particularly those of smell and hearing, are acutely developed. It also lacks any pigmentation in its skin. It has three toes on its forelimbs, but only two toes on its hind feet. It exhibits neoteny, retaining larval characteristics like external gills into adulthood, like some American amphibians, the axolotl and the mudpuppies Olm also has exceptional regeneration capabilities – it is even able to regrow an amputated limb So trying to not stray away from this abilities, the ark olm would be the same size as a Rock Drake so it could be ridable and look cool as heck, it would have a similar ability to parasaurs, it would also be a good oxygen supplier underwater, would regen like carchar, would create some sort of mucus that slow or depletes stamina from enemies and have a bite that either creates torpidity slowly or poisons the target depending how the player toggles it The breeding/eating patttern should be like a diplocaulus I know this creature submission looks a litlle bland compare to others but i dont draw that well and its my first post in this community XD If you think any changes can be made to the design or abillities, write in the comments, it would be great to create a creature most people tend to like and had a sugestion in the creation P.s: Also sorry if my english sucks, not my main language
  25. Common Name:Ainsworth's Salamanders Scientific name:Plethodon ainsworthi Time:1900s? Diet: carnivore Temperament: neutral (aggressive when in water) Abilities The Ainsworth's Salamander can be seen attacking by either biting and swinging it's tail that can give huge knockback to small creature and slowing down larger creature,it also have abilities that's already been documented in the mythical island such as climbing walls similar to the megalania, It also able to go on a "stealth mode" where it spread it's legs until the stomach hit the ground to be able to sneak around creatures with aggressive temperament with the cost of it's speed ,however it does have some abilities that hasn't even being seen even by the fantasy creatures Mouth Holder Well this is new,as the ability name suggest it uses it's mouth to hold stuff such as creatures up to the size of a raptor (which it can swallow to heal 60% faster when hurt) and both enemy and friendly players, however it can also effectively hold eggs, and big ones too, and somehow similar to the oviraptor when the salamander put an egg up it's mouth the group of the specific egg's creature won't be aggravated which sometimes makes it great to get wyverns eggs Oil Skin For some reason the salamander's skin can be washed with oil and it won't even bother to it, infact it can use it for it own advantage, the oil skin makes it more slippery which cause it's speed to be increased even while in stealth mode, infact some survivor have been seen sliding down hills with these giant salamander washed in oil for fun and if you seen one do it you can't blame why, they can be washed away with waters from ponds and the ocean, they also have another use which is for the next "ability" Amber Rage When washed with oil, there will be a hot bar about"Amber Rage", the amber rage has a percentage that increase when you're in a hot area such as the plain old desert or the wyverns nesting place in the blazing mountain, the percentage increase faster the hotter the place is, however when attacked by a fire inducing attack such as flame arrow, flamethrower, etc, the percentage will instantly reach 100%, and when the percentage reach 100% either from the hot location or attackers, the Salamander will reach a state called "Surtr" Surtr Surtr is the state when the salamander gets so hot the oil around it's skin goes aflame, for some reason the fire it produce is even hotter than any of the wyverns breath temperature COMBINED, so much so that riders often times burn to death from it's flames, which is how it was named "surtr" referencing to the fire giant that causes Ragnarok in Norse mythology, even if you're a few meters away your body can still catch up on flames, however the salamander surprisingly doesn't have or get any effect from the blaze other than stamina lost, because of its insane temperature survivors have used it to destroy structure from your little tiny Thatch building all the way to the industrial metal one just by sending their salamander close to the base, even on the face of death the fire still rages on Taming Method These Salamander's are found on the large river in the bottom side of the map in the desert, while it's impossible to forcefully tame the adults salamander you can get their eggs however they're not just randomly placed somewhere in the river or behind structures, they're located inside the salamander mouth, note that only females hold the eggs while males doesn't hold anything, getting the egg from it's mouth is rather simple but will take some time, because of the abundance of eggs in their mouth sometimes when they go hunting for fish in the night some eggs will fall out of its mouth for you to receive, however most of the eggs are unfertilized meaning you might need wait to get a fertilized one, just be careful not actually being in the salamander's mouth, the eggs can only survive and hatch in the water and baby salamander until juvenile can only live on the water Weakness Of course with strong abilities comes it draw backs, when in the state "surtr" the fire can be instantly stop by an ice wyverns breath attack, infact ice wyverns are the true counter for the Raging fire lord, it will be one of the only creature who won't catch on fire being close to the salamander when in surtr state and just by being next to it it can reduce the fire's damage, cold environment wouldn't let the salamander go to surtr mode, and already said before, the surtr state can be both helpful to raid bases or disastrous by killing your tribemates that's close to it, there's also a temporary weakness for the salamander, chitin armor, because of its high density of hydrogen bond it can't be melted therefore it can Temporary protect you from the salamander's blaze before it eventually does cooked you alive inside the armor Reasons I choose the creature Amphibians in Ark aren't really that abundance, the only ones we have are diplocaulus and beezelbuffo, while both can be useful at times needed they aren't really much of a use in other times, and also I think the ice wyvern deserve a use at least since it's one of my favorites wyverns because of is design yet the other wyverns are much better to use than it, so this creature may or may not increase the people usage for ice wyverns.
