EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION can have a variety of causes. The specific address referenced in your error, "0x000001ea1f27f3b8" may not be common but that doesn't matter because the specific memory address is basically meaningless in this error. What really matters is the category, "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". There are plenty of guides that will give a series of steps to take in order to try to solve this issue, and I'll link those below, but before you use any of them here are the things I would do first. I'm going to start with the fastest/easiest and end with the most time consuming. If you get lucky this could be a 10 minute fix, if not you might end up spending hours trying a bunch of things. 1) Disable your anti-virus, try to play the game. If the game works then you probably need to Verify or reinstall your anti-virus. Make sure you have all programs turned off while you're verifying or reinstalling anti-virus. No games, no browsers, no office applications, nothing. 2) If you use any mods, unsubscribe from all of them and make sure they are removed in the game interface. Reboot and try again. If the game works then you can add the mods back in, one at a time, test your game after each mod install, then you should be able to figure out which one is causing your problem. 3) Uninstall your video driver. Use the Device Manager > Display adapter do do this, look up the steps if this is something you're not familiar with. Reboot after uninstalling. Then after the reboot tell windows to discover your video card and install the drivers from scratch. Reboot again. Now test your game. 4) Completely uninstall and reinstall ARK form scratch. Verify works most of the time, but not always, there are problems that a Verify won't fix and this might be one of them. Also, reboot after you uninstall AKK, before you reinstall. And after you reinstall reboot again before starting the game. Lots of people will argue that it's not necessary to do multiple reboots when troubleshooting or trying to solve issues, but this is Windows not Linux. Doing "extra" reboots is much better than not doing enough. The client-server list is currently not always updating server population. What does this mean for you? You may be attempting to join a full server that displays at, say, 64/70, to no avail. We're working on addressing it as soon as possible. Some players have misunderstood the new Auto Join feature as a Queue system. To clarify, it is not a queue but rather a tool that allows you to automatically attempt reconnection to a server, particularly useful when the server you're on is full. It operates similarly to manually joining but aims to streamline the process and save you clicks. However, you can still opt to join manually if you prefer. As far as requests for more Official servers go, we plan to roll out some more new servers on our Official Network as we assess stability, capacity, and demand. You're killing office workers and solo players with a desire to play. Games are leisure, not giving lives, need to sleep, need to work. How many people can spend days breeding a dinosaur. A careless one can lead to the death of the pup

Wildcard, you killed the heart of the game when you refused to give us any option to save our tames and progress to single player, instead forcing us to pay through the nose if we want to save years of work. So many players have left in disgust at how you've handled the shutdown. ASA will be the same old bugs and glitches, just with a shiny new coat of paint. May all your office chairs sprout thumbtacks and the floors turn to Lego, so you can experience a fraction of the pain you've put us through. May all your desks get loose screws and suddenly collapse.

From the very beginning I wrote that it is rather impossible to run SP saves on consoles. And I wasn't the only one who wrote about it. WC/SG have found a lucrative business, they dare to discriminate against us and charge us for a month of games on Nitrado where pc owners download their save and can play it on their own pc. This may already be a matter for the antimonopoly office and consumer protection. But you can only report it in the country where the toilet is located, i.e. the USA. I'll just wait until September 30th until ASE closes, throw it out of the console and forget about the GAME that could have potential and continue to develop. But the $$ lighted up for them and they wanted to earn a lot and quickly. A lot of friends have already left ASE and they don't want to hear anything about WC or ARK. Just like me. They will remove the servers, and me and my wife will be removed as players, so I understand that they do not want console players. So I also see no reason to buy 2x their next ASA or ARK2 products. Not after what they did by pushing the players text about SP on the console. They themselves knew that it was impossible, but they wrote such a fairy tale. This is already the basis for me to write and wash my eyes. With ASA it will be rather similar because it would still be WC/SG it would be different if someone else would buy ARK. Every day I am closer to saying goodbye to the ARK Community, it's sad that this day had to come after so many years of playing ASE.

Only been playing this since late 2019, but I enjoyed every map I played on official (legacy), mostly for the people I played with, and got to know a little, sharing stuff as time went on etc. Im very disappointed by the recent decisions that have been given to us via this roadmap. for players that come from official servers - and I guess thats more or less the majority of the ark gaming community - this feels like being kicked out of the door and left in the cold without wanting to go into detail (thats been done by all the posts already typed down in this thread), I just feel as if the people that are in charge of the making of decisions, have no idea about who the gaming community really is, and what they have evolved to in a long peroid of gaming together still, I cant help but feel the urgent need to post my thoughts here aswell, maybe to give this reflection by the community a very tiny bit more weight by just doing so for the moment I believe neither saturday nor sunday are office times for anybody in charge to respond to all those posts.. but I am hoping that they will do so during the next working week, even though Im not holding my breath for it good luck ya'll

For all non-American players it will be most likely on monday knowing the normal times of activation. Actualy a good thing since this could mean that most the team will be in the office when the bug reports come in.

Sad but true. Honestly I'm not sure where people get the idea that things should suddenly change to suit their desires because of a personal matter. If it's really that insanely important to someone then they make time. No job requires you be there every second of every day. And if for some godforsaken reason someone decides they NEED to indulge in the event then they can either burn PTO or take a sick day. It'd be a massively silly waste of leave in my opinion, but it's a lot less silly than saying a game company should extend an event because your boss needed you at the office.

Imagine thinking this is an actual issue in a game all about grinding and surviving on basically scraps until you've put in enough work to take what you want no questions asked. You pay lip service to the essence of ark but then turn around and whine about something that flies in the face of that very essence. If you don't want hard work then play unofficial. Look at it this way: would you take a construction job if you were adversed to having to lift heavy things and heights or would you take the cushy desk job that offers more pay in a safe insulated ground floor office? Think man, THINK.

It has been a while. Time to play has been really limited. During Fear Evolved I had to prepare to defend my thesis. Which unfortunately cut my time short. Graduating was a priority, but at least I succeeded. I did fire up Ark for a bit. So, here a recap of several short session First I brought some Giga’s over to the Island. Mainly to actually see the Dodorex for the first time. Been playing for years, but never actually seen it in game 😅 Had day and night drift by, when I finally got the messages it had arrived. We went on the hunt and managed to slay the beast! Three of my Giga’s died, but they were expendable. This ordeal actually took two play sessions, but seeing the Dodorex was worth it. Hopefully, next year I’ll be on Scorched to see the Dodowyvern. But with the amount I play I’m not counting on it… Next up: A taming spree on Ragnarok. Ragnarok is and will always be my home. It also is my save where I can do and cheat whatever I want. I mainly used this to hoard Wyverns over the weekend. Either high level or just plain pretty. My home base next to the green obi has become a bit laggy though. It is still very playable, but annoying. So, I wanted to build a new base for my Wyverns and maybe a few other creatures. I also had the urge to just destroy my current base and rebuild it. But it was a real pain to actually finish, undoing all that work is kind of painful 😂. This lead up to my latest session More recent: Was home rather early after work yesterday, and having spent a couple hours outside of the office helped with my motivation to play. First I did a dino scan, to see if anything interesting was around. A 360 Tek-Anky. Well, I’m not one to pass something like that up. The scan said it should have been on one of the safer island, close to the swamp. Hopped on Shakan (my Ice Wyvern) and flew over. Passed over all of them several times, saw several Anky’s, but not the one I was looking for 😭. In the end I gave up and returned home. Went out again. This time to scout for a location for my new Wyvern Keep (name still undecided). I’d already thought of building around the castle on one of the plateau’s there. So, it was the first place a flew towards. Kept an I out for interesting creaturea, but nothing notable popped up. Did raid a beverdam for some paste. Although my Achatina’s have been breeding like crazy, even with mating turned of. I’ll have enough paste to last. Anyway, reached the castle. Killed a skeletal Bronto, who was still wandering around, and went to look for a decent location. Eventually decided on a small ‘island’, without ground access. Started laying some foundations, and decided to expand it with a bridge. It will probably turn into a full fledged base at some point, but it may be a good thing. I’ve been stuck next to green obi for years now. My initial plan turned into something different, with the way my foundation turned out. However I do like it. Now to think about the continuation into something useful and decent looking. Till next time! Which may take awhile again 😅

Time zones are fun. It's 8:21AM at their office. They still have about 15 hours to release the event, on time.

Started on Ragnarok. After yesterday’s session I also played in the evening for a bit, and managed to grab 2 380 lightning eggs. Almost lost Destro, my griffin, because I wasn’t paying enough attention to his health. Invested his levels into health, which I hadn’t focussed on enough. Today I hatched those eggs, decent stats, ugly colours. Blue belly, grey spikes, purple body and dark wings. It looks messy. Both male, keeping them because they are the highest ones I found after starting this playthrough. After having altered my rates I looked at my active animals. I believe they are better balanced this way, but I need to play more to prove this. Went back to Fjordur. I am starting to really like this map, and I haven’t even explored half of it. My focus for the day was starting a base, using the Castle, Keep & Fortresses mod. Because the pieces are rather expensive, I used creative mode. I like building, although I am not very good at it. Created several different buildings. A main house with bedroom, office and large kitchen. Played around with decoration, which I never really did in the past. Ark doesn’t have many decorative pieces, but playing around with boxes, trofee cases etcetera dit make it more interesting. It also has a garden, though empty at the moment. I tamed a Doedi and Anky in it. The area I’m in has several spawns, along with many deinonychus and nests. Anyway, second building houses 2 CKF forges an a small stable for two Anky’s next to it. Build two small 1 x 1 sheds for a tek generator and an SS hatchery, and a large building covering a tek replicator. The last building is a stable. It is a really odd shape and there actually isn’t much room, but I like it. Hopefully, it will force me to not leave a lot of unnecessary dino’s scattered around. With this base I’m trying to be more innovative with the space. Although it is highly likely that I will move, if I find a better spot. After building for a couple of hours, I took a Thyla (later named Erin) and started exploring from a ground level. Earlier on Ragnarok I uploaded a Thyla, Otter, a few weapons and armour. When I retrieved it, I crashed, lost al the items. Crashing is a rare occurance for me. In my time playing Ark I’ve only crashed a couple of times, but apparantly uploading and collecting things/creatures is something I need to be more careful of in the future. I’ve definitely seen complaints about this problem, never really thought much of it, until now. I am glad that playing SP grant me the opportunity to fix whatever i lost. Back to exploring: Just randomly started and travelled around the different layers of the map. There are a lot of height differences and several underground area’s. Many of which I still need to uncover. Meanwhile I found a 300 Acro, obviously couldn’t resist, a 300 Kentro with a black body and a Tapejara whom I managed to knock out in one hit. I came across a set of small ruins which seemed interesting. Had to dump myself down a well and found an underground tunnel, with a need looking spectacle at the end. Seemed disappointing to have it end there, but it wasn’t! Got through a secret tunnel with a loot crate beholding an Ascendant Pteranodon saddle. Further along the way I found an artefact. First one! Felt rewarding to go through a cave without ever having seen any of it and finding the artefact. On the way out, took a different tunnel, I got jumped by a Purlovia. Luckily Erin tanked the hit and killed it afterwards. Got my guard up and managed to be prepared for the other two. Killed them easily. Exit out of the tunnel, into the night. Again a sneaky Purlovia got me. Kept going, over mountains, through valleys. Visited some of the interesting sights I found yesterday: a fortress in the snow, and a mine with an enormous pit beneath the path. Eventually ended up near the green obi, when dinner was ready. I have been on a roll playing the past few day and will definitely continue exploring tomorrow. If anyone is looking for a new map to explore. Definitely check out Fjordur. The quality is amazing, and it is very different from the official maps.
